I knew you guys would LOVE this wedding shoot. Captured by the oh-so-fabulous Lisa Lefkowitz and styled by the forever talented Gloria Wong, this wedding is total dreaminess. Every detail was thoughtfully designed, every element was perfectly executed. It's hard not to wish you were standing right in the middle of it, spinning around, soaking up every last bit of it.
I have to admit, looking at weddings day in and day out is both a curse and a blessing. My bar for what is fabulous has been raised considerably and I've become a bit of a wedding snob. Well, a total wedding snob if I'm being honest. I love all different styles of weddings...$5,000 backyard affairs and $50,000 uber-chic soirees...as long as the details are spot on beautiful.

One of our readers, Rachel, sent me THE cutest pictures of her handkerchief save the dates and I had to share. Especially since it goes with our shabby chic theme for the day. Here's how she did it! I'd previously seen handkerchiefs and other bits of fabric printed on and really liked the idea of texture. I also wanted to create a keepsake. I ended up scouring ebay for about a month, collecting vintage handkerchiefs. In the meantime, I created a vintage-y layout using our silhouetted...
Love, love, love today's real wedding. There is something so sweet, so utterly charming about this little soiree. Perfect details, a beautiful venue (the groom's parents' house...lucky!) and a style that is all together gorgeous. I am so glad that the bride's cute best friend emailed us!

This wedding makes me really happy. First of all, the bride's best friend sent it to us because she knows how much the bride loves SMP. Cute. Second, it is SO ME. I swear, I could pick up some of these decorations and plop them in my house. It's a little shabby chic, totally elegant, with details that will make any girl swoon.

Okay! On to the wedding...the ridiculously beautiful wedding. For those of you that wonder how I choose weddings to feature on SMP, this is a great example. I love to see brides crafting inspiration boards that ultimately reflect the wedding that they design. I love perfect details more than anything else. I love a sense of personality and style and I love to see a bride and groom that are head over heels for each other.
