From Inspiration to Reality Challenge!

Guess what! It's time for another From Inspiration to Reality Challenge. We have vendors lined up from now until March who are so excited to turn your inspiration boards into a real life photo shoot, complete with stealable ideas for your own big day. I love this feature, completely and hopelessly, and really can't wait to see some of these amazing boards come to life. For those of you that have...

Carmel Valley Wedding by Alison Hotchkiss

I just wrote a little post over on BACKSTAGE about blogging burnout. You know, that pressure to get the latest and greatest, to give each wedding its deserved recognition, to remember that you LOVE weddings and that's why you do what you do. Well, I've had a little bit of blogging burnout lately, so I have been making it even more of a point than usual to find weddings that inspire me, that get me really excited about this industry and the insanely fun weddings that people are designing.

Puerto Rico Wedding by Elysium

You guys probably saw this wedding in InStyle Weddings...it's the celebration of Roselyn Sanchez and Eric Winter. Roselyn is an incredibly well known actress both in Puerto Rico and the states and just might be one of the most gorgeous women I have ever seen in my life. She's most well known for her role in Without a Trace. And you guys definitely know Eric, as he is the dreamy actor in shows like Brothers & Sisters and movies like The Ugly Truth. They are a ridiculously gorgeous couple...

Newport Wedding by Corbin Gurkin, II

The wedding that we are featuring today is CRAZY beautiful. It's shockingly simple and yet every detail completely gives me butterflies...from the sweet favors that add depth and dimension to the room, to the tote bags and perfect centerpieces. I love every bit of it. Photographed by Corbin Gurkin, I am completely blown away by this stunning wedding.

Newport Wedding by Corbin Gurkin

I am literally DYING over this wedding. It's so different from most of the weddings that come across my desk...the style is pristine, totally and completely clean, fresh and innovative. The color palette alone, of whites, oranges and grays, will be enough to send most of you clear over the edge but then when you dig a little deeper, you'll see that it's the details that really shine.

And the photographer behind the day, the completely loved...

DIY Table Runners

AS promised, we have a great DIY project for you inspired by Cara and Spencer's incredible tablescapes. I love, love, love the organic elegance behind the wedding day design and aside from perfect flowers, it's the table runners that give the tables texture and style.

Jackson Hole Wedding, III

Today is all gorgeousness on SMP. Cara and Spencer's wedding is unbelievably pretty and even better, it's largely a DIY wedding! We have one of the perfect projects coming up next but for now, I wanted to share a bit more from the ridiculously lovely day.

I spent months scouring Style Me Pretty, The Bride’s Guide and other blogs for inspiration. Then, I...

Fall Wedding from Rose Petals and Lace

Samantha and Jeremy were married last month in Middletown, New Jersey and the east coast was in all its autumnal glory for their October I-Do's. Tons of gorgeousness here...the bride and groom (duh!), the adorable maids, the jaw-dropping setting, and THOSE flowers. The bridesmaids' bouquets were filled with roses and dahlias and Samantha's bouquet was your quintessential bridal bouquet, a mix of white hydrangea, ranunculus, and white cymbidium orchids. Perfect.

Jackson Hole Wedding, II

I have been dying to share today's wedding with you. I fell head over heels for it the moment I laid eyes on it, but since we wanted to use it as our debut on Martha Stewart's The Bride's Guide, I've had to stay mum for a little while. But today is the day that I finally get to gush and gush and gush.

For me, this wedding is the perfect example of DIY that...

Jackson Hole Wedding

I am basically like a kid in a candy store right now. If you remember...last week, we announced our new blogging partnership with The Bride's Guide (Martha Stewart Wedding's blog) and we debuted one of our favorite weddings for all of Darcy's readers. Well today, we get to reveal the...

Honeymoon Survival Kit

Before we dive into today's absolutely gorgeous real wedding, I wanted to tell you guys about the CUTEST little treat I got in the mail. Every now and then, vendors and artists send me little tokens that they've been working on...new products, invitation samples, thank you goodies, the works. I know, I have a really cool job. But it's rare that I'll actually blog about one of them. Well, when I got this particular gift, we immediately asked the designers to be a part of our...

From Inspiration to Invitation by Sarah Drake

OK. This could be one of my favorite posts EVER on SMP (I know, I cry wolf with that statement all the time). It falls under our From Inspiration to Reality feature that we are doing, appropriately titled "From Inspiration to Invitation." Dreamed up by one of the best invitation designers ever, Sarah Drake, we decided to turn one...

Vintage E-Session by Jeremy Harwell, Part II

My girlfriend, Lisa, wrote me an email the other day that said..."is it bad that when I’m tense/cranky/panicking/whatever during the day, I look at your blog?"

I love to hear stuff like that. I love to know that people out there can come to SMP for some visual eye candy, for a little refuge of prettiness during their workday. And this next set of images fits the bill entirely. Jeremy Harwell is the fantastic...

Vintage E-Session by Jeremy Harwell

We've been chatting about men's fashions all day and I thought that the perfect follow-up would be this incredible fashion centric e-session that one of our favorite photographers, Jeremy Harwell, shot for Wedding Soiree's new wedding book. It's purely gorgeous and should definitely be used as inspiration for your own perfect engagement shoot!

Men’s Wedding Attire, Part V

Some girls would say that there is nothing sexier than a man in a tuxedo. There is something very James Bond about it and for a wedding...a tuxedo is just about as good as it gets. We will be the first to admit that we don't know a lot about choosing the right tuxedo for your look. We tend to stick to all things girly and pretty. But what we do know, is how to make that tuxedo really, really cool. Here are a few of our picks for Tuxedo's, all at different price points...

Now the...

Men’s Wedding Attire Round-Up, Part IV

Menswear is tricky. To get a perfectly tailored suit, it takes a little bit of cash, a little bit of patience and a really great tailor. But that is for a perfectly tailored suit. Not all weddings require this (despite what your etiquette book says) so this next feature is for all of you girls out there that simply want your hubs to look good without killing your wallets. Perfection, not necessary. Hotness, completely necessary.

First up, a classic suit.
