Admittedly, I have the best job in the world. I spend my days scouring the internet for beautiful things, walking the streets of Boston waiting to be inspired, roaming the aisles of my favorite little bookshop…all day, dreaming about weddings. On any given Tuesday, you might find me on my sofa, hovering over my laptop creating inspiration boards and color palettes, constantly getting sidetracked by all of the beautiful sites I’ve found along the way. Yes, I have a pretty killer job.

And yet, like most things in life, the path to get here has been a long and winding road. With big dreams and brief detours (including a stop at a public relations firm followed by a longer stay at a hedge fund), I jumped head first into the wedding industry, launching a line of wedding invitations called Abby Jean. After three years of blood, sweat and tears (literally) I sold my wonderful little company to Fontaine Maury who could take the brand on to bigger and better things.

As a way to stay connected to my industry, and continue to challenge myself creatively, I started Style Me Pretty….a chic blog for the style obsessed bride. As a blogger, I am forever in search of inspiration…whether it’s my grandfather’s sketches or my niece’s paintings, the perfect pair of ballet flats or a blush colored peony. There are no boundaries for inspiration just as there are no boundaries when it comes to Style Me Pretty.

Again, I have a pretty amazing job.

Ten Years Later and Love Never Looked So Good

My husband and I have been married 11 years. And life has changed so hard core over those 11 years, it's hard to put into words. But seeing this 10 year anniversary session - photographed so incredibly beautifully by our friend, Greg Finck - I'm reminded that despite time flying at the speed of light, and everything around us changing and growing, at our very core, we are exactly the same. I love this feature, love this couple.

Planning a Fall 2017 Wedding? Here’s Your Big Day Blueprint.

Bridal Perfection on the Tuscan Countryside

People always ask me what I would have done differently if I were to be given a wedding re-do. Well, I'd start with the guest list. 200 people - many of whom I didn't even get a chance to say hello to - filled our ballroom and while I loved the support and the pure love that permeated the day - a wedding built for two would have been just as magical. And this one, crafted by Chiara Sernesi of Weddings in Tuscany, with photos by...

Why You Should ALWAYS Let the Venue Guide the Way

In a lesson that I've said probably a hundred times while writing this blog...if you book your venue before making any major style decisions for your big day, your wedding will be SO much easier to design. Your venue should set the tone for the types of florals you have, the linens you choose, the gowns you ask your bridesmaids to purchase. And this affair is proof that the Venue First Formula, works like a charm. With planning done so beautifully by...
