Pink Inspired Flowers, IV

I absolutely love our next set of pink inspired flowers. When I bring pink florals into my home, this is how I do it, incorporating warmer hues, like peach and terra cotta…making the entire look seem soft and inviting…

Top Row by Verbena / Bottom Row by Modern Day Design

Pink Inspired Flowers, III

This next set is all girl. It’s pretty, it’s frilly, it’s totally feminine…

Multi-hued Pink Peonies & Ribbons

Top Row: flowers by grandiflora, ribbons by Blush / Middle Row: flowers by Soiree Floral / Bottom Row: bridesmaids’ flowers by Blush, pink flower by grandiflora

I am a girly girl to no end, so I love these looks. The peony is hands-down my favorite flower and paired with pretty pink ribbons and details, well, it just works!

SMP Loves…Bluefly Wedding 2.0

We are interrupting Pink Week to let you know about Bluefly’s brand spanking new Weddings 2.0 site!! Filled with perfect picks for bridesmaids, groomsmen and guests, the new site is beyond fab. And guess what…I am lucky enough to be a part of their panel of experts! So, needless to say, you really have to check out the new site and their flypaper blog just as soon as you can!

Pink Inspired Florals, II

Continuing on with our pink inspired florals, I just about died when I saw these gorgeous designs by Installation Floral in Dallas. The various hued pink flowers paired with the lacquer and matte black vases…perfection.

Vivid Pink Black White Wedding Flowers

And speaking of modern, fresh designs, I am also loving the oh-so-now purple hues in this next set of flowers. The purple undertones add a bit of depth and dimension, so the end effect isn’t quite as girly as your standard pink style…

Pinks tend to go in one direction or another…either a bit red/orange or a bit blue/purple. The purple hues are perfect for a bit more edgy, modern affair. I love the sleek sophistication of the bottom photo…a more architectural approach to floral design.

Pink Inspired Flowers

Today we are celebrating Pink Week with a flower extravaganza! I have to admit, as girly as it is…pink is my all time favorite color. And, a pink flower? Well, that is just perfection in my eyes. So, here are my picks for the most beautiful pink florals, from sleek and modern to feminine and a bit frilly.

Top Row: flowers by Waterlily Pond and Hello Darling / Bottom Row: flowers by Waterlily Pond and Modern Day Design

Okay, these florals are the perfect examples of how to use pink in a totally sophisticated, fresh way. By bringing in varying hues of pink, blacks and golds you instantly add a shot of chic that even the men in your life will appreciate. I am obsessed with the pink and gold scheme in the top left photo and equally smitten with the pink and black palette in the bottom right photo. Love, love, love.

If you are in need of a little floral inspiration, check out the sites mentioned above…honestly, the best way for your florist to understand your many loves, is by printing out images of your favorite designs. Waterlily Pond, Hello Darling and Modern Day Design are all filled with tons of beautiful ideas!

SMP Loves…Riedel Vinum Pink Wine Glasses

How cool are these Pink inspired wine glasses? I love the delicate color of the stem. These glasses are made for rose wines, and when the wine is in the glass, it looks like it goes all the way down to the base…such a unique and a cool visual effect! Fifteen percent of the proceeds from these wine glasses go to the Living Beyond Breast Cancer Foundation! They would make great gifts for bridesmaids, girlfriends, survivors and fighters!

A Survivor Soiree

I am more excited about today’s posts than I have been about any other post in SMP history. Why, you ask? Well, not only are we doing a ton of giveaways, we are also featuring some absolutely beautiful invitations crafted by some of my favorite designers…all to honor those who have been touched by breast cancer. It just feels like it’s going to be a good day.

To kick it all off, I wanted to tell you about this great new project that Viola of Chewing the Cud and Libby of Byrd + Bleeker are launching…A Survivor Soiree!

Here’s the deal, straight from the horse’s mouth…

Perhaps it’s your sister. Your mother. Your best friend. Celebrate their triumph with a Survivor Soiree!

*Surprise your guests with these NEW BEGINNINGS letterpress invitations (shown in the top left photo) by chewing the cud.

*Make your event even sweeter by having byrd + bleeker create a SWEETNESS OF LIFE candy bar and more pink party goodness.

As for that amazing candy bar…there are actually “Breast Cancer Awareness” candies included in there; Hershey Kisses, York Peppermint Patties, Dove Dark Chocolate Pieces and Mars M&Ms Promise Blend.  A portion of those candies’ purchase price also goes towards the Susan G. Komen foundation – so really, it’s a charity two-fer!  What could be better?! The floral arrangements include antique green hydrangeas, pale pink stock and a combination of pink and champagne lisianthus in mint julep cups, bottles, glass vases and rustic ivory pails. The jar tags all have inspirational quotes by breast cancer survivors. 10% of all proceeds from a Survivor Soiree will be donated to the Nellie B. Connally Breast Cancer Foundation at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.

I am in love with this concept. The letterpress invitations are beautiful, the candy bar concept is over-the-top great and the celebration of life that motivates the project…well, it’s just lovely.

And guess what, the girls are offering a 20% discount to all SMP readers through the month of October! Just mention that you heard about the project right here! And, that isn’t all…Viola of chewing the cud is offering 50 NEW BEGINNINGS cards which can be converted into save the dates to one lucky reader. Just leave a comment as to which invitation from her collection is your favorite, and we’ll choose a winner randomly!

And the winner Is…Mandy!

“I absolutely LOVE the “Good Old Days” invitation set from Chewing the Cud. My wedding is in an old theatre and this would be the perfect way to reflect the vintage vibe.”

SMP Loves…Lazy Bone Creations

I found these darling note cards while I was checking out Etsy! How charming are they?! I love the glittery snowflakes and the little jingle bells! Even better, the snowflake image is dry embossed, which will make these cards extra elegant. They would be great either for wedding invitations or just for your holiday cards! Lazy Bone is donating 20 percent of the proceeds to breast cancer research! They’re lovely and they support a cause!
