“Our wedding will be part rustic chic part garden party. We are getting married in the local botanic gardens with a reception at the local community center. We’ve chosen kelly green and a pale turquoise for our colors. LOVE THIS GIVEAWAY! I checked her site and love the designs.”
We're going for a glamorous garden party!
DIY Charming Garden
My wedding style is classic preppy with a little twist!
We're trying to create a 'heightened county fair'. We've got the popcorn and cotton candy machines, and I've been collecting mason jars and old milk bottles to help make the centerpieces. A little bit of country in the big city and a heap of old timey charm.
Our wedding will be part rustic chic part garden party. We are getting married in the local botanic gardens with a reception at the local community center. We've chosen kelly green and a pale turquoise for our colors. LOVE THIS GIVEAWAY! I checked her site and love the designs.
I am planning on a elegant but chic event with lots of glamour!
Oh these are just beautiful! I love them.
We are going for a rustic style but still have a casual elegance to it. We are having a fall New England wedding where the reception is taking place in an 18th century barn. The plan is to have submerged flowers as centerpieces (some of the elegance) with candles surrounding it (for more casualness and intimacy).
So gorgeous! We are going for a simple yet modern/ultra-hip look for our urban wedding.
We are going for fun and casual with elegance! We're having our wedding in the CA wine country and are deciding on a few properties that have lots of room for people to stay a few days and a big yard to dress up for an indoor/outdoor reception. Our families are from PA so we are looking forward to giving them all a taste of CA with lots of wine, cheese, and fun!
We're having a traditional and classic affair in a renovated church from the late 1800's with gorgeous stain glass and vaulted ceilings! We're making it more "ours" by having fun, young, elements like a cupcake-cake and a photo-booth. Our event is like the invitations, classic with a new, young twist!
These are beautiful! I can't wait to check out the site! Our wedding is going to be vintage chic. We are thinking very ornate - Marie Antoinette - French inspiration.
Our wedding is a candlelit, Spanish colonial inspired affair! In an old church ruin, in the historical colonial city of Antigua, Guatemala, we will be married surrounded by candles.
Love these designs! For our wedding, we are striving for a relaxed, barefoot ceremony on a Hawaiian beach, but with chic and slightly rustic elements.
Our reception is in an old Victorian house so we are doing vintage but not too ornate.
These invites are just too cute. In planning our wedding I am keeping in mind southern charm. I want to embody the beauty of central Virginia by incorporating the state flower, dogwood, the charm of the south, mason jars, and preppy chic, gingham.
I'm not looking to enter the contest, but I just have to say that I love these invites, and Cathy is so talented, and GREAT to work with!
Wow these are beautiful! Our wedding style is classic elegance
I think ours will be feminine but casual and slightly preppy. Very simple and clean, with unusual touches. This past week on your blog has been super for me, because pink is one of my wedding colors!
Our wedding is going to be casual elegance with a vintage-chic vibe. Our tagline is "the summer social" :)
Our wedding will be a combination of tradition and tons of fun. Family and friends. Good food, drinks, and dancing! Let the countdown begin!
These are fantastic!
Calin and I planning our fall Michigan wedding to be a little enchanted forrest, a little retro chic. We're getting married in a tiny little valley on a wooded campus that will be lit in the evening by candle lanterns. Our music is going to be contemporary, and played by the band that helped introduce us to one another (www.commonshiner.com). The reception will also take place on campus, in a historic carriage house with the carriage house doors opening onto a tented patio with lit trees and lanterns and a big dance floor (guests are encouraged to submit music requests on their RSVP card). Our color palette is a deep blue and a tandoori/rust with an apple green accent. There will be a caramel apple tower in lieu of a traditional cake and a midnight breakfast to close out the evening.
I can hardly wait! ;)
We are going for South Beach Art Deco style!
We are going for nature inspired elegance. Our wedding is going to be in October in the mountains of NC. The ceremony will be in a field with 360 degree mountain views and the reception will be held in a 100 year old tobacco barn.
Our wedding is sort of a vintage glam theme. We're having two separate rooms, one featuring old hollywood photos for the cocktail section and the other a very soft pink and gold old-fashioned room with birdcages and beautiful peonies.
These invites just make me happy! Nothing better than an invite that makes you smile. For my wedding I am going for classic vintage elegance. However, I want it all to feel very current. I want it to represent me.
I'd say our theme is vintage garden casual elegance. We are trying to embrace some of the Victorian era heritage of our location, which is casual in it's weather-worn stone columns flanking the garden ceremony site, yet elegant in the beautiful stained glass ceiling in the reception site. Fun elements, like an ice-cream sundae bar instead of wedding cake, will help to let guests know that they are supposed to relax and have a good time!
Ours is going to be a picnic garden wedding, with games and a homemade photo booth and picnic baskets, in June in western Massachusetts, at a beautiful Victorian house and gardens.
The theme of our wedding will be Whimsical Vintage, filled with crystals, feathers, pearls, lace, and lockets, very rustic and romantic.
I'm planning a wonderful southern summer soriee for a new client. We are working with a tight budget and I know she would adore some chic invites to enhance her classy-classic affair! The reception will be held at one of Atlanta's oldest and most reputable country clubs.
Cheers!
Our wedding will be at a resort next to the beach in Hawaii. Our style will be tropical, modern, and elegant. We will be incorporating orchids in our wedding. I'm amazed at how inexpensive the invitations are for Love at First Invite!
My wedding is going to be vintage chic. It will be held in a garden, with a full tea service. I guess you could also say that it will be an English garden party.
Our wedding is going to be garden party/French elegance...very Marie Antoinette. The reception is at a very art-deco mansion and I can't wait to design our invites so that everyone will know what to expect. I browsed her site and the invites are great! Love!
Our wedding is artsy, eclectic, retro and just a little bit romantic. Our reception is in a loft above a historic theatre on a quaint brick paved street. I think Love at First Invite could totally reflect those qualities in one of their beautiful invitation sets!
concert in the park...from blankets to bands to food to dancing all night long!
We are aiming for an art nouveau-inspired vintage style.
Our wedding will be a rustic chic affair with a fresh-picked, vintage, outdoorsy feel. The color palette will be soft pistachio and cream. I want everyone to be relaxed and have FUN! We are hosting our ceremony under and old tree on a farm on the water with a tented reception to follow.
our wedding is soft and romantic with a punch of yellow! In a nutshell I want people to say...SO PRETTY! :)
We're going for a family-oriented and fun event, especially since we'll have around 20 to 30 kids at our daytime wedding.
Our wedding will hopefully reflect both of our personalities and will be informal. I want it to be fun, have lots of delicious food, and reflect both of our cultures (Filipino and Korean).
I'm not sure of my style yet! I think it depends on where we're having it. if it's on a beach like I'm hoping, i want a casual romantic wedding. if it's where I live, I want it to be more elegant.
I think our wedding will have a casual but romantic style. I am planning shades of pink and many DIY touches!
We are having a modern traditional wedding -- we're having a traditional cathedral ceremony, my gown is all lace (perfect match with the invites!) and I'm trying my best to channel Grace Kelly. For the reception, however, we're trying to incorporate our contemporary style of design with chic detailing and a modern lounge feel.
The theme of our wedding is a soft, romantic and formal setting (a bit Marie Antoinette). Our ceremony and reception will take place in a room with wooden floors and glass chandeliers. My dress is a mermaid, all lace with a sweetheart neckline. All colors will be soft- light pinks, soft purples, creams, and LOTS of candles!
Cathy rocks! Her designs are beautiful!
Cathy is awesome! Congrats! I am glad to see she is getting the recognition she deserves!
We're hoping to make it "whimsical vintage"...sort of like an Anthropologie store. Rustic and organic elements mixed with a romantic vibe and lots of color!
Our wedding will have a California casual vibe with a twist of rustic vintage chic. We're both from the midwest, so we're bringing the flavor of a rustic/antique style, to our elegant outdoor venue overlooking the ocean. Think homemade table runners, iron table numbers, hand tied flowers in sunny yellows and greens, a beautiful view, and lots of fun!
Our wedding is in the garden of an English country mansion -- soft, romantic and elegant. I would love these invitations to give a hint to guests of the delights to come!
Art nouveau meets 1960s meets classic wedding elegance. Lately I have been very influenced by art nouveau designs... they always catch my eye. And, I've ALWAYS been obsessed by the 1960s... I feel like I should have lived back then! However, I still love the pure, simple elegance of classical wedding traditions... take my color scheme for example: classic white and ivory, with hints of navy and leaf green. I'll be wearing a 60's-style white shift dress and a retro feather and tulle headpiece for my going away outfit. My bridesmaids' dresses are also 60s-looking. I'd like the lettering and designs on the programs, escort cards and menus to be art nouveau style. All the while, mostly everything will be in classical wedding white and ivory. The ceremony will be in an old cathedral and the reception will be held in a tent by the pool area of an old, fancy hotel. So, our celebration will be a mesh of a few styles, and I think it'll work out beautifully!!!
Our wedding will be outdoors for the ceremony and reception, in Lake Tahoe with a view of the lake in the background. We're going for casual chic with an emphasis on it being just a really fun party rather than a really structured wedding with a bunch of to-do's.
I'm planning a serene, under the gazebo, vintage, yet modern wedding on the 18th tee.
we are looking to have a fun & sassy contemporary wedding that's not super traditional, yet not completely off the trail. LOVE those invites!
I don't think I've actually "named" our style. But, I think our style is funky but DEFINITELY elegant. Our color palette is apple green (like a granny smith apple) and a plum purple. It is very funky, but the way we have incorporated the colors into our flowers is VERY elegant.
our wedding is going to intimate - we're getting married at a small winery that's a bit tucked away. we want it to be traditional, classy, diy, and simple. we want to show how much we care about each other and our family/friends who are supporting us in all the little details.
The wedding is in a garden at a very old country manor in May. These invitations reflect the mood we are trying to capture. Romantic and intimate
Our destination wedding is airy and romantic! our reception (4 weeks later back home) is romantic and rustic.
We're planning a funky playful themed wedding with a touch of romance and intimacy, to reflect our personalities
Beautiful!!
My wedding color is pink. The style is old-fashioned and very feminine.
This design is actually perfect for the theme and colors!!
In love with these invitations, wow!
We are planning a garden party with vintage touches for our May wedding
Our goal is just to have fun and focus on us!! We're not too traditional but I guess you can say the feel of the wedding will be more elegant and casual ...our reception will be held in downtown, over looking the river with the party continuing after at some of the local bars with our out of town friends. Can't wait!
Our wedding style is as simple as we think our life together is. Although, we DO realize "simple" can mean many things to many people! So in the name of being simple, let's just say our wedding will be laid-back-glitzy. Traditional ceremony in a church -- one block from the beach. Reception at a country club ballroom -- on the beach! Steel drum band during cocktail hour; our favorite beach band playing for dinner and dancing hours. The perfect mix of laid back with a bit o' glitz. We are going for an all-white color scheme with pops of deep coral. My dress will be clean lines with a mermaid silhouette, nothing on the dress but one striking line of crystals. We want our wedding style to be a feeling...more than just simple - laid-back-glitzy.
I'd say mine is modern, fresh and simple. And these are adorable!
We're planning to have a romantic and intimate garden style ceremony with an elegant reception that is full of fun and unique touches. We want to inject our personalities into as many details of the wedding as we can.
The theme of our wedding is Beach Chic! Envision a shabby chic beach cottage meets romantic dinner party, tons of candle light and soft colors such as blush pink, beige, and whites . The tables will be white distressed benches with monogramed seat cushions, and people will be asked to check their shoes at the door and enjoy the sand between their toes. All leading to a very romantic, intimate casual feel... cant wait!
Our wedding will be a traditional church ceremony, with a focus on the vows and symbolic unity then a very untraditional reception--in a pavilion on a lake with a pig roast--basically a big family reunion. We're going to have dancing, fishing, and games for everyone to get talking and be involved. Certainly simple and NOTHING fancy schmancy just classy southern charm! Love SMP for showing these invites off!
Preppy polka dot meets vintage English garden party meets charming rustic simplicity, and all on a DIY budget!
That sounds like a mouthful, but what I mean is that I want a fresh mix of modern and vintage, using our colors (chocolate, cream, sage and pink accents), and special touches (vintage milk glass cake stands and fairy lights). I plan to DIY as much as possible (in part due to a tight budget, but also because I want to contribute as much as I can to the wedding), but if I could get invites knocked off the list, that would be fantastic ;)
We are planning a relaxed garden party wedding.
We're having a traditional, formal style with funky elements such as peacock feathers
Our wedding style is FUN first and foremost, elegant with a touch of camp involved. We're having the reception in an old Art Deco movie theatre, and are running with the old Hollywood feel while keeping it classy and simple. Candlelit lamps will be the centerpieces, black and white dance floor, champagne tower, and a big band crooning standards to bring it home. I want my guests to feel like they're at a joyful celebration that is truly one for the ages :)
Our wedding will be a mix of romantic, vintage and rustic.
rustic elegant definitely--beautiful barn with family style dinner and wooden tables with runners instead of table cloths! also, having a bonfire. amazingness
Old south meets old hollywood. Planning a beach/resort/lowcountry affair with ceremony outside under century old oak trees complete with hanging Spanish moss. Vows at sunset. My inspiration board colors are cameo pink, black, and a pale, shimmery aqua.
Cathy my dear!! I am SO PROUD OF YOU!! Congrats for being featured!!! xoxoxoxox!!! ;)
We're doing a modern beach affair. Our colors are shades of pink (leaning more towards the darker end) and gray.
We're planning an outdoor reception overlooking the ocean. Colors are red/white/silver and keeping to a simplistic look.
We are going for a southern, rustic garden party, with local flowers, food and music. Some of my guests have never been to the United States before, so it will be a real treat for them!
These stationery designs are beautiful.
We are opting for 1940s English garden party - relaxed and informal but somehow glamorous all the same. Given the current economic climate, echoing somehow the 'make-do-and-mend'/'have fun whilst we can' ethos of England during that period makes so much sense to us.
We're going for a modern evening garden wedding-keeping all of the details clean and sleek to contrast with the historic garden setting.
It's wonderful to see such beautiful designs at affordable prices!
We are planning a ceremony and reception at a beautiful historic mansion surrounded by a rose garden and a large covered veranda. Our colors are a mix and match of antique pinks, yellows, gold, and we are also incorporating the vintage awning stripe (ivory and dark green) into our decor. It is going to be formal but with a fun garden party twist. We hope it is a classic look to last a lifetime!
I love love love the invites! The pink is so classic and what beautiful design!
We are planning an affair themed vintage glamour ... there will be old trains, vintage suitcases, antique candlestick holders dripping with crystals, old streetlights. Granted, the wedding isn't for awhile but my mind is exploding with the possibilities and I think I'll need as long to narrow down my favorites and stick to my budget. The design would be perfect with its faux lace design.
Small DIY home style wedding. Celebrate the beginning of two families coming together.
AHH! This is PERFECT for my garden wedding at an historic house in South Carolina...inspiration is the ironwork that surrounds the gardens, the pink roses within, and lace--these invitations would be PERFECT!!!!
Cathy is the best! I lover her style; the simplicity and elegance of her designs!! Congrats Cathy :)
We are going for an old world elegant feel
Our wedding style is traditional southern charm.
A white wedding. Dramatic, yet understated elegance. A billowy field of white flowers atop the tables.
I can't believe I have never seen this stunning invites before and I would love to win them.
Our wedding is all about "timeless elegance". Our colors are ivory, green and navy, my dress is a beautiful satin trumpet with intricate beading and my girls dresses are very old hollywood. They are all modeling their hairdos after they favorite old hollywood starletts. To incorporate our cultures, I will wear traditional croatian earings and dancing the customary dances which I plan to teach my fiance before our wedding.
We are planning a rustic, Southwestern spring wedding - think mountains and wildflowers and pinecones and adobe.
Not sure how this will work out, but going for a beachy classic... heh.
I'm in love with this line, pink is my favorite color and my wedding is all PINK, even the cake batter!
These are very soft and would match perfectly with my outdoor garden wedding!
Thanks for the great inspiration!
I am hoping for a modern twist on a small town, country setting. These invitations are just what I need to set a perfect tone for the affair!
Our style is city/country chic. We're starting with a ceremony in a rural park, followed by a metropolitan reception in downtown Minneapolis.
We're rounding out the city/country vibes by maintaining a classic, quaint feel throughout (think white linens snapping in the wind as they surround the country gazebo, sleek views from our classy city venue.
Our wedding Ceremony will be out doors on a Lake at a Resort in April, followed by a reception in their grand ballroom, our style is elegant with some rustic details (think canoes and laterns) with an emphasis on heatfelt details. I want my family to feel as though they are so special and important on our day that the details of our wedding are not really about us as they are more focused on the people we love. That is why the invitations really said something to me. As she designed them to represent generations of mothers and daughters. My wedding date is my grandmothers birthday, which makes the day even more special. We are incorporating things throughout the entire weekend that will mean things to those that attend. We are hoping to pull off little suprises through the whole weekend for those that we love.
Still in the early planning phases but I'm imagining something simple and classic :)
We're going "modern vintage." Vintage decor but in modern bold colors.
