I am more excited about today’s posts than I have been about any other post in SMP history. Why, you ask? Well, not only are we doing a ton of giveaways, we are also featuring some absolutely beautiful invitations crafted by some of my favorite designers…all to honor those who have been touched by breast cancer. It just feels like it’s going to be a good day.
To kick it all off, I wanted to tell you about this great new project that Viola of Chewing the Cud and Libby of Byrd + Bleeker are launching…A Survivor Soiree!

Here’s the deal, straight from the horse’s mouth…
Perhaps it’s your sister. Your mother. Your best friend. Celebrate their triumph with a Survivor Soiree!
*Surprise your guests with these NEW BEGINNINGS letterpress invitations (shown in the top left photo) by chewing the cud.
*Make your event even sweeter by having byrd + bleeker create a SWEETNESS OF LIFE candy bar and more pink party goodness.
As for that amazing candy bar…there are actually “Breast Cancer Awareness” candies included in there; Hershey Kisses, York Peppermint Patties, Dove Dark Chocolate Pieces and Mars M&Ms Promise Blend. A portion of those candies’ purchase price also goes towards the Susan G. Komen foundation – so really, it’s a charity two-fer! What could be better?! The floral arrangements include antique green hydrangeas, pale pink stock and a combination of pink and champagne lisianthus in mint julep cups, bottles, glass vases and rustic ivory pails. The jar tags all have inspirational quotes by breast cancer survivors. 10% of all proceeds from a Survivor Soiree will be donated to the Nellie B. Connally Breast Cancer Foundation at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.
I am in love with this concept. The letterpress invitations are beautiful, the candy bar concept is over-the-top great and the celebration of life that motivates the project…well, it’s just lovely.
And guess what, the girls are offering a 20% discount to all SMP readers through the month of October! Just mention that you heard about the project right here! And, that isn’t all…Viola of chewing the cud is offering 50 NEW BEGINNINGS cards which can be converted into save the dates to one lucky reader. Just leave a comment as to which invitation from her collection is your favorite, and we’ll choose a winner randomly!

And the winner Is…Mandy!
“I absolutely LOVE the “Good Old Days” invitation set from Chewing the Cud. My wedding is in an old theatre and this would be the perfect way to reflect the vintage vibe.”

This color palette and combination of treats, make me wish we were heading into summer instead of winter! Though it makes me want to snack like we're heading into hibernation! Wonderful job!
wow that candy buffet looks amazing! I liked pink before but I think it has risen to a new love!
What an awesome idea! I love the idea of the quotes incorporated into the candy bar.
As for chewing the cud, I would die for any of their work, but I particularly love the "Flourish Fete" set. Perfectly funky and elegant :)
Love all the pink and more amazing that it's for a good cause. I love the "Woodlands Affair" set.
I LOVE this idea!!!
And, I love the "Good Old Days" set.
I have to say "All Aboard" or my honey that is a pilot would be upset. I love them all though - especially the "Flourish Fete" set.
I love your pink theme week/month!
My TWO favorite's from chewing the cud would have to be either "Rustic Florals" or "Flourish Fete."
I am in love with the Lovebirds Story set. And that table is divine.
Love the setup! Also, how cool is it that the ribbon for the candy bar tags echoes the crossed ribbons we wear? Kudos for a great idea.
Wow! Simply beautiful!
I absolutely LOVE the "Good Old Days" invitation set from Chewing the Cud. My wedding is in an old theatre and this would be the perfect way to reflect the vintage vibe.

I love the Lovebirds Story suite because of the simple images and sweet message. I love the Gatsby Style for the beautiful damask patterns.
"On the Shore" is so classic and fits in with my wedding vibe perfectly! Love it!
Love, love, love both the flourish fete and preppy soiree. Unique, elegant and so chic!
This post is beautiful, elegant, and playful... a true "celebration".
My favorite of the suites and packages from chewing the cud is the "To Kill A Mockingbird" design that Viola used for her own wedding. It gives me goosebumps!
I love the "Preppy Soiree" - so cute & classic!
I am in love with "Schooldays Crush"...it's sooo darling!!
I love the "gatsby stlye" simple but stylish and elegant!
I love the simple elegance of "Beyond the Backyard" and think it would fit in perfectly with my wedding planned in a public park.
I love the "To Kill a Mockingbird" line. The lovebirds are super cute!
I love the "rustic florals" - it totally fits for my casual yet romantic PINK wedding
Gatsby Style Set is my favorite, although it is so hard to choose just one!
I love the Beyond the Backyard set -- it should be renamed Beyond Beautiful!
"Schooldays Crush" is taking me back to elementary school! I'm sure my notes were never as lovely, though! :)
i love patterns galore. so much detail, but the overall effect is so clean!
I absolutely LOVE the "Patterns Galore" set... these look EXACTLY like my colors! :)
Love love love the Beyond the Backyard invites--super cute and what awesome names for your collections =) A very touching story--thanks for doing all of this SMP!
I absolutely love this trend, and looove the "Good Old Days" line! I've drooled over Chewing the Cud's site for months and months now :)
I like the Lovebirds story. I love the layout of it
First I want to say that I love the Survivor Soiree idea. It's just great. As for Chewing the Cud's designs I really love the Preppy Soiree its simple and clean.
The love birds invitation is so very appropriate for my finance.
"Patterns Galore" is stunning! I love that green shade too!
My favorite posting of the week. Love the tone of pink, fits perfectly with my design. I will contact her for a quote for invitations! Great work!
How could I NOT love "Flourish Fete" -- first, because the word "fete" is simply not used often enough (just like soiree!). Second, they are classy and fun and SO unlike any invitations my family and friends have ever seen!
I love the whimsical Lovebird Story collection from Chewing the Cud...I am ready to plan my whole wedding around the invite!
i am in love with the "woodlands affair" invite suite. the wood grain and the little bird house are too cute! i book marked that invite monthes ago... sometimes i just visit it online:)
It's so like you, Viola, to think of others and to want to contribute to a worthy cause - one that touches your heart. It's hard to pick out a favorite from the wonderful choices. But...if forced to, Beyond the Backyard and Flourish Fete are my favorites.
