The Dreamiest Blue and Gold Wedding at a Private Villa in Paros, Greece

The sweetest bridal escort, vintage Florentine tableware, meaningful mementos at every turn and one seriously stunning bride – ya know… just to name a few things you’re going to love about this intimate designation wedding in Greece! White Ribbon Boutique Events planned every inspiring detail, the floral design from Red Box Days will literally make your jaw drop and 2 Brides Photography captured the whole day flawlessly! Get ready, folks… ’cause this might just be one of our new all-time favorites.

From White Ribbon Boutique EventsKatina & Arthur met in college. They stayed together after finishing college, and both attended the same graduate school just to be together. Arthur proposed to Katina in the beautiful seaside town of Cinque Terre in July 2017, much to her surprise!

A year later they invited their 50 closest friends and family to attend their intimate destination wedding in the Cycladic island of Paros in Greece!

They decided to have their ceremony in a 19th century chapel where the bride and groom wore the same wedding crowns the bride’s grandmother had worn in her wedding, a true family heirloom.

Her grandmother was also the one to walk her down the aisle, a moment that brought us all to tears. How sweet is this capture by 2 Brides Photography!

Later guests were welcomed at a private setting on a seaside villa for their reception. After hors d’ oeuvres, a seated candlelit dinner followed.

For their decor they wanted to go for a classic but elegant look so we used soft colours with a mix of gold. We also combined modern with rustic in the decor by using lucite accents paired with vintage wooden Florentine tableware and natural beeswax candles.

For the florals we opted for wild greens paired with few cream and white garden roses, arranged by Red Box Days to create a more natural setting for dinner which was also enhanced by hanging fairy lights over the tables. It was a truly intimate celebration combining old and new in a breathtaking setting in the Cyclades.

Intimate Greek Wedding at Alemagou in Mikonos

When you choose a location as stunning as the Greek Islands for your Big Day, you don’t need a lot of fluff. The backdrop of the Aegean Sea and the white-washed houses are enough. Just layer on the love. That’s exactly how this Bride & Groom celebrated their union. Thanks to Vasilis Kantarakis Films and Les Anagnou Photographers for documenting it all so beautifully, we get a virtual seat to their intimate I dos.

From the Bride… During our annual family ski trip in Austria we went for a forest walk in the snow next to slopes, unexpectedly he suddenly kneeled and asked me if I wanted to make him the happiest man in this world…. Of course, I said YES!

We are both in love with the Greek islands so no debate was needed to decide where we wanted to get married. We wanted to share the Greek purity and Island vibe throughout the entire wedding, from the painted invites, through the ceremony in the most beautiful authentic chapel to the gypsophilia, olive branches and small white wild button roses used for the table decoration during dinner. My mum was the best wedding planner I could ask for. She really understood my vision and helped me elicit the Mykonian blue, the island white and the essence of Greece through all of our wedding elements. Being a jewelry designer myself, I created pieces that were simple and elegant; resembling those fit for a muse. I truly felt like a Greek ethereal existence.

The Greek Orthodox ceremony was definitely the most special moment. The atmosphere created by the hymn song by the priests, the beautiful surrounding and the closest family and friends around us was too special to capture in words. For us this was the way we dreamed to give our commitment to each other to share life until the end of days.

Mamma Mia, the Most Gorgeous Kinsterna Hotel Wedding in Greece

Okay guys, prepare for ABBA songs to be stuck in your head for the rest of the day after seeing this unreal beautiful wedding in a little Greek town called Kalok… *ahem*… Monemvasia. Katie Grant Photography captured the most inspiring photos of the island scenery and the sweetest emotions from the bride and groom. Think Happy Events planned every detail to perfection, and Secret Garden had us weak at the knees the minute we laid eyes on the reception. Make sure you check out the full gallery because every.singe.picture is stunning. What more can we say besides… “Opa!”

Amanda was the most stunning bride on her wedding day, her smile lit up every corner of this darling town of Monemvasia. We love this shot of Amanda and her mother getting ready for the big day, captured perfectly by Katie Grant Photography

Amanda & Kris chose the summer solstice, June the 21st, for their wedding day. The summer solstice, derived from Latin words sol (“sun”) and sister (“to stand still”), is the longest day of the year in the Northern hemisphere, while the daylight lasts over 15 hours! This astronomical event has been associated with love and fertility.

The wedding celebration took place at the historical old mansion of the Kinsterna Hotel. This amazing old structure was built during the 17th century, close to the picturesque Castle of Monemvasia and was completely renovated with great respect to its architectural history.

Organic delicate details with local inspirations were the root of the overall design. The flowers from Secret Garden were eucalyptus, olive branches, pepper leaves, peonies, purple & white lysianthos, succulents, bombastic & lase roses, lavender. Nature at its best!

Many talented vendors participated making the impossible to happen. After all, great teams create dreamy weddings!

Everyone in the room could tell how genuinely happy and in love Amanda and Kris were throughout their special day. The beauty of this wedding was only matched by the love these two share for one another.

From Phosart Photography CinematographyZoe and Louise are an adventurous couple with a great passion for travel, fitness and photography. They met at University but didn’t get together until 2015 when Zoe was teaching in Spain and Louise was in the UK. The distance didn’t matter and soon they found themselves living in the UAE and traveling the world as much as they can.

They chose the love island of Santorini for their engagement and now they came back for their wedding day! Not the bridezilla type, both easy going, laughing and enjoying the day in their photoshoot. This vintage, fun photo collection of our lovely bride-couple, is full of personal details and high aesthetics in terms of decoration, choice of flowers and in general the wedding board pallet. The absolute trust they showed to us is what we will keep in our hearts and we are blessed to meet so lovely couples!

From Tie The Knot In SantoriniPlanning & design this gorgeous wedding for these amazing ladies and beautiful souls has been a dream!! Their wedding style would totally reflect their personalities: whimsical, romantic, bohemian and adventurous. We incorporated a lot of details from their travels, such as the world map seating chart with their photos, the classy world map cake and table numbers! The romantic element was emphasized with the soft color palette and we tried to give a more bohemian feel with the carpets and the dip died fabrics. We love mixing different styles and Louise & Zoe’s trust allowed us to do so and have a gorgeous result!!

What I will also never forget is the good vibes, the smiles, appreciation and so much love that made us feel sooo happy to be a part pf this beautiful day!!!

This Rocabella Santorini Wedding Is Sure to Leave You Breathless

Cascading white-washed villages, extraordinary volcanic beaches, divine dome-shaped churches and the crisp blue Aegean sea that extends as far as the eye can see – it’s no wonder Santorini is one of the leading destination wedding locations in the world. While the locale might be a popular choice, this wedding truly stands out from the rest. Lucky for us, Anna Rousssos  and Mont Videography were there to capture every must-see moment. From fashion-forward bridal style to a first look that will make you happy cry… every moment of this day planned by Stella And Moscha is a total dream. Oh, and did we mention lots, and lots of donuts? Check out the full gallery to see just what we mean.

From Wedding Planner, Stella and Moscha Weddings… The amazing backdrop of the Santorinian caldera and the unparalleled light of the Greek summer leaves little room for extravagance. Our beautiful bride Kristin spotted that early on in the wedding planning process and she chose to let the light take over.

We couldn’t help but fall in love with her Inbal Dror wedding dress, which compliments her silhouette delicately. The luxurious beading captured the sun making her sparkle with every step.

The couple met for their first look surrounded by the pristine, awe-inspiring scenery of the Santorini coastline. It’s hard to imagine a more romantic place to see your bride for the first time.

We absolutely love this shot captured perfectly by Anna Roussos of Kristin looking back with a smile of pure bliss as she made her way to the church to marry her soulmate. The true love between these two is undeniable.

It was a wonderful June morning and a great day for a church wedding in the heart of Santorini. The cobblestone alleys were filled with people and Kristin and Andrew were ready to start their journey into married life. The church flowers from Wedding Wish were understated yet emphasizing on the Greek elements of the wedding.

And so before we go a single moment more, we ask you to watch this short wedding film from Mont Videography, presented to perfection in true, classic Greek style!

More from Stella and Moscha Weddings..The reception décor was dictated by symmetry and the subtle yet dreamy palette of white, olive green and light gray, perfectly matching the white walls of the venue and the Aegean blue.

A sweet dessert display complete with donuts galore was decorated in fresh greenery and floral arrangements, making for one wow-worthy décor moment!

Santorini Island Wedding Overlooking The Caldera

In love with love… that’s what Vana of White Ribbon Boutique Events says about herself. From the very early days (when she collected wedding inspiration and filled binder after binder of wedding ideas!), until today… after developing lasting friendships with her couples, Vana continues to fall in love, day after day with the sheer romance of weddings she and her team help plan. Not just because wedding planning is so very rewarding, but because each wedding — and every couple — are so unique, so personal and so significant. Can you imagine actually working surrounded by views like this? Well, how about getting married there!

From the bride… Tim and I met during our freshman year of college. Though we were friends throughout university, the timing was never quite right. After college, we both ended up in New York City…  and of course, the rest is history.

Neither of us had ever been to Greece, but we knew we wanted a special destination for our wedding. After looking at many weddings on-line, we found that we were consistently drawn to the beauty of the caldera views… and the laid back atmosphere in Santorini. So we did it!

Right there, in front of the Caldera, we  exchanged vows with our family and closest friends beside us.The dinner following the ceremony took place on a breathtaking balcony at two long family-style tables. The inspiration for the decor was a mixture of earthy tones with soft and romantic pinks infused in the flowers, tableware and linens. Our intimate dinner was followed by emotional speeches and a fabulous party.

Our sincere thanks to Anna Roussos Photography, Nice Plum, Spicy Bites and of course, White Ribbon Boutique Events for their continued support of Style Me Pretty!

Elegant Olive Grove Wedding in Costa Navarino, Greece

We ooh and ahh over wedding submissions all day long (oh what a tough life we lead ;) The days we love the most, are the days we open a submission that quite literally stops us in our tracks. And we know in a flash that this one is “going up” on SMP. You see, we do what we do as a sort of standing ovation to the couple as well as the team of vendors that they hand-picked to choreograph their celebration of love. Today’s wedding sent to us by White Ribbon Boutique Events and Vasia Photography is one of those weddings… a wedding that we feel privileged to share with our readers. A wedding that every vendor involved should share on social media and be so very proud of! It is a time-honored story: boy meets girl in NYC… girls + boy fall madly in love… they don’t want to live apart anymore… boy proposes to girl… husband + wife are united…… their love story has only just begun!

From Wedding and Event Planner, White Ribbon Boutique… Alper and Eleni met in 2012 when they were fellow interns in New York City. On their first date, they strolled through Central Park, ending up at a Greek Restaurant. What started innocently enough blossomed into true love and at the end of that magical summer, they faced their first real challenge, as a couple. They were working in two different countries and spent much time traveling back and forth to see each other. After many collected air-miles, Eleni decided to move to Norway, the home of Alper…

Right before the big move to Norway, they took a trip back to the city where it all started – NYC! On their first day there, Alper surprised Eleni with a visit to the Rockefeller Center. They entered through a private elevator. Once they turned the corner, the bride knew it wasn’t an ordinary visit to the Rockefeller Center. They were alone with a violinist and photographer on a private terrace overlooking 5th Avenue where Alper asked Eleni to marry him!

Eleni and Alper were married in Costa Navarino, Greece at The Romanos, a Luxury Collection Resort

The concept for their wedding was inspired by the merging of two very distinct cultures, the Turkish and Greek.

We designed the menu to combine the two cuisines. For the decor we opted for a concept of classic luxury with dark navy linens to complement the green surroundings.

We also sourced hanging lanterns from Istanbul along with hand blown glass containers containing Turkish delight for the guests to take home at the end of the reception!

We urge you to see more of the fabulous weddings designed by White Ribbon Boutique Events on their their blog and on Instagram! Our sincere thanks to Vana, Vasia and the newlyweds for sharing this amazing wedding celebration with us!

Greek Modern Elegance With Mega Marble + Copper Accents

Abby always teases me about how I try to cram too many of the amazing detail shots into my image boards…  and she’s absolutely correct. I do. But come on — Style Me Pretty is a wedding inspiration site! I don’t want you to miss out on seeing something incredible for your own day. This wedding, from ak3fotographia with event design by RockPaperScissors is just that kind of wedding – packed with amazing details. Please promise me – you WILL look at this full gallery!

From the Bride… We met three years ago on the 8th October, when I moved to Dubai. Lee had already lived there for three years. It was one of those love at first sight moments where we knew we would end up together. We moved in together after a week of dating. He proposed on the 27th May 2017. I am half Greek (Greek father + Irish mother). We have been going to Greece to visit my family every year. Lee loves Crete, the food the drink the people. We straight away said if we don’t have a wedding on a Greek island it needs to at least be next to the sea. Therefore, when we found Island Art & Taste, we were beyond thrilled.

Planning a wedding from a distance is a big challenge itself, therefore a wedding planner is necessary. We wanted something very unique for our guests as 90% of them would be traveling for the wedding. The personalized favors that also doubled as seating place cards worked perfectly to express our gratitude for everyone who took the time and effort to come to our wedding.

From RockPaperScissors… The ceremony took place under a unique arch where king protea flowers gave a lovely contrast to Greece’s blue skies. Our couple asked for a minimal wedding so we came up with the mix of copper and marble. We started out with the minimal design of invitations by Atelier invitations and then also took it to our tables with the creation of a unique personalized favors made out of marble that also served as a seating card.

From the Groom… We were originally searching for a venue in Greece that would really impress our guests and also provide an amazing backdrop for our wedding. Upon arriving at the venue on our wedding day I was in awe of how beautiful everything looked. I was even more stunned when my beautiful fiancé walked down the steps with her father and became my wife – I remember shaking so much, as she looked so stunning.

More from the Event Designer, RockPaperScissors… We softened our minimalistic table scape by adding the abstract floral napkins wrapped with copper napkin rings, and the unique flower mix with King proteas, orchids, perla roses, eucalyptus, eustoma.

As we all know a bar is truly important for a good party, so our groom chose a whiskey bar and our bride a mobile prosecco bar for everyone to enjoy right after the ceremony.

Decoration of the cake was prepared from our team’s florist and it was another of her wild creations of the day. It was a unique day followed by a great party! What more can a planner ask for?

We do know that the details don’t make or break a wedding – it’s the love, the romance, the beauty and those special stolen moments illicitly captured by your photographers and videographers that will allow you to relive and cherish the moments, forever. Congrats and Happy 1-month Anniversary from SMP to Jenny & Lee — thanks for sharing your beautiful day with us!

Idyllic Destination Wedding in Mykonos

From Sandy and Odysseas PhotographyWe had such a great time capturing Christina and David’s wedding in Mykonos. They were so wonderfully tuned with the vibes of the island and their style choices were impeccable. We loved the fact that they were so thoughtful towards their guests and their whole wedding was oriented in pampering their loved ones every way possible, without exaggerating on their church or table decor, just keeping things substantial and meaningful…

More from Sandy and Odysseas Photography… Sometimes a couple forgets that this day is all about them, and rushes things. Keeping a perfectly English timeline, they managed to spend plenty of time enjoying with their bride and groom squads, their families and with each other. As the lovely bride is of a Cypriot descent the beautiful wedding rituals prior to the ceremony took place in an utterly emotional atmosphere. It’s a tremendous thing to witness all that keeps a culture’s roots and the couple itself together and we were thrilled to have been part of this.

From the bride, ChristinaHaving grown up in England, where the weather is so unpredictable, we both always dreamed of getting married near the sea, in a hot, beautiful destination. Being from a close Cypriot family, it was important for me to incorporate my culture into our special day. We looked at so many different destinations across Europe, but something just didn’t feel right trying to create a traditional Greek wedding in Italy or France.

We decided to plan our wedding in Mykonos, a Greek island we had yet to visit but was on our list of holiday destinations. We heard so many great things about the Island and loved the idea of a smaller intimate wedding in comparison to the 400+ guest weddings us Cypriots normally have in Liverpool. We loved the idea of surprise and most importantly it was the perfect excuse to hire a wedding planner!

Being quite an indecisive person, it took me a while to settle on my colors and decoration. I always knew I wanted a romantic and traditional wedding and my light gold and Ivory color scheme really complimented the stunning sunset and sea view reception. We incorporated a traditional Cypriot blessing for me before the ceremony known as “Stolisma” (usually done at the bride’s parents house but in my case on the veranda outside my hotel room). This ceremony prepared me for my special day and involved blessing me with a red scarf and “kapnistiri” (a silver pot for burning olive leaves), whilst my close family and friends joined in singing traditional songs with the violinists. It was all very emotional!

The scenery at the chapel and reception was so naturally beautiful that I didn’t need to overdo it with decorations. My wedding planner was amazing at creating exactly what I described to her. At the chapel, we had two very tall traditional candles either side of the ceremony table, decorated with olive branches and greenery and a beautiful white flower arched wreath over the door of the chapel. Outside the church, there was a small table with Jars of lemonade for the guests and some beautiful ivory fans which had details of the wedding party and ceremony on.

The venue looked stunning with different sized lanterns and candles placed around the reception and hanging from trees. The centerpieces were simple and elegant with a large white lantern and flowers around it. On each table was a small bottle of ouzo with a thank you tag, and a sparkler with each guests name on. I loved my seating plan stand decorated with a few flowers, which was covered in shimmery gold Polaroids for each guest to take home. My three-layered cake was actual cheese and covered with figs and grapes, with crackers and snacks for guests to feast on towards the end of the night. I couldn’t have asked for a better setting.

The flowers used in my bouquet and venue were so beautiful and elegant looking. We used Ivory roses, white lisianthus, white freesias, white dendrobium orchards, calla lily and white limonium.

For our table plan, we had personalized gold polaroids hung up on a flower decorated board for each of our guests/couples for them to find their picture and take their seats. The favorite part of our wedding would have to be during the ceremony when the rice was thrown at us a bit too early and caught us by surprise. Even the priest used the bible to protect himself from the throwing. I also loved our entrance into the reception area as the sun was setting. The scenery was so romantic as we walked in as man and wife with a traditional Cypriot song ‘Kozan’ playing and all our friends cheering.

I always wanted quite a traditional long sleeved timeless wedding dress, but when the dress I ordered arrived it didn’t fit like I had imagined. So I decided to get my dress restyled and customised to create the perfect dress I had always dreamed of. The bodice of the dress was covered with beautiful Venice lace, with a sheer illusion neckline and lace sleeves. The back of the dress was low cut and the skirt of the dress was aline with the softest tulle I have ever touched. It flowed and fit me so perfectly. I loved my single layered, lace trimmed cathedral veil and my champaign peak toe Kurt Geiger’s.

David wore a light blue linen suit, white shirt, and light gold tie. He looked so smart and handsome and his tan shoes and belt really made the suit!

We met through friends of friends and for our first date went out for a few drinks in the city center of Liverpool where we live… And Never looked back! The proposal was actually quite funny, as I had gone out for food for my friends birthday and David knowing how much I love candles had filled up our whole home full of them. However, I was home at least 2 hours later than expected and was slightly tipsy! So not only did I forget my keys, but when David answered the door to me with the hallway totally lit up, I was actually hiding behind the corner of the door to scare him!!! It took me a good few seconds to realize what was happening!!! It was a perfect proposal, just me and him. He even proposed to me in Greek!!! It was very romantic!

Τhe most anticipated or special moment of our wedding day was walking up to the chapel. It was set high up on a cliff so David wouldn’t have seen me whilst I walked up with the violins playing in front of me. It built up the anticipation and seeing his face smiling at me when he finally saw me was the perfect moment for me. My wedding planning advice is to make some time (even if it’s 10 minutes) after the ceremony to be alone and just process what just took place. Don’t let people sway your mind or try to tell you how they think your wedding should be planned. Remember it’s your day, not theirs!

Have a Seat at This Table Set for 80

With an epic, seaside-facing banquet table to seat all 80 of their guests, an after party on the beaches of Milos that lasted until the sun rose the following morning, and this couple’s bohemian chic style, this wedding is one we will never forget. Think Happy Events was behind the helm, and we have Vasilis Kouroupis for capturing the memorable day. Don’t miss any of it, all waiting for you in the Vault!

From Think Happy Events… Taghrid and Paul are an amazing couple coming straight from London. They are both so artistic and different; she is an actor, and he is a composer. They decided to get married on Milos, the island that they visited one summer before and totally loved with its unique landscape, chilled atmosphere, and delicious food. Not too touristy, away from big cities, crowds, and noise – Milos matched all these criteria.

They hosted a pre-wedding beach party at Sarakiniko, a beach situated on the north shore of the island. Waves driven by north winds shaped the greyish-white volcanic rock into amazing shapes, and the area is often compared to a moonscape. The local people refer to the scenic landscape of Sarakiniko as “Lunar”. All guests enjoyed the light blue water of the Mediterranean sea. Inflatable games, big laughs, and ultimate relaxation were had by all. In the afternoon, the family took a photo at the top of the rock and enjoyed sparkling wine before the traditional Greek “meze” dinner.

The wedding took place at the ancient Roman style theater on the island. The groom arrived first with his band in his retro convertible car. He patiently waited for the bride, while the guests with big hats and umbrellas were entertained by the nostalgic songs written by Paul for this special day of his life! Two Spanish directors were responsible for the flow of the ceremony, and yes, the bride came on time. Strong words, slow paces, songs promising eternal love – it was an impressive and emotional ceremony.

The wedding dinner happened on the southern part of Milos. A long and festive table facing the deep blue sea welcomed all 80 guests to taste the famous Greek seafood and enjoy a breathtaking view from the edge. For the decoration, many, many succulents were used to match the natural landscape of Milos. After dinner, the couple broke the custom made piñatas shipped from London as a symbol of joy and good fortune to come. And when the night came, before the wild dancing and party began, the lights of Santorini and Crete where seen from far, far away. The lights were dancing in the open sea, giving their best wishes to the couple. An after party followed at the beach, with salty kisses, bare foot dancing, and night swims for all. The day finally ended with the sun rising and everyone extremely happy, but exhausted, heading back to their small white hotels with the blue painted windows. This big day for Taghrid and Paul is a day to definitely remember…too full, too special, too beautiful!

Santorini + This Sweet Couple = Anniversary Shoot Success

Simple and stunning; one of my all-time favorite combinations. Especially with an anniversary shoot, I’m all for removing the excess and focusing on the special couple. And with a location as stunning as Santorini, you really don’t need much else but their love and the jaw-dropping sights. Lilli Kad Photography did just that with this sweet couple and their romantic anniversary shoot planned by Stella and Moscha, leaving us feeling inspired and eager for more – right this way!

From Lilli Kad Photography… Louise and Robin decided to capture their fresh love and celebrate their first anniversary in Santorini. When they got married in Italy 2016 they had a hard time deciding between Italy and Greece. So it made sense for them to celebrate their anniversary in Santorini. They wanted to make the most of the stunning location and hired us to ensure they capture this special event.

They relaxed at the one and only Kirini Resort in Oia where they also arranged an intimate lunch before heading out and wandering through the streets of various little towns in Santorini.

In keeping with the blue and white theme of the island Stella & Moscha styled the lunch equally in blue tones with some amazing floral arrangements by Santorini’s Flowers. Since it was a celebration the couple couldn’t resist and had an anniversary cake made by Alexandra’s Cakes who added some amazing macaroons to the mix.

Louise and Robin’s laid back style ensured that we didn’t just get amazing images wandering through Santorini’s little towns and streets but also made for some fun sightseeing. They did say that most probably they wouldn’t have seen all they have with us as we had done some locations scouting before and are very familiar with the island. So we wandered through some unexplored areas without tourist crowds! The right way to travel!

From Elias Kordelakos… Santorini is one of the most sought-after wedding destinations! For me as a wedding photographer, for many good reasons. The light and the architecture of this Greek island provide endless options and I like to incorporate these two elements in my photography. I love playing with the backlight that creates more romantic and timeless images. I must also admit how much I love intimate weddings. People are so much more engaged in what is happening and actually being part of it. Another thing I always suggest to my couples is having a first look! From a photographer’s point of view, it is just so magical and always creates emotional images! The couple also enjoys it and loosens any tension before the ceremony. It helps the bride and groom relax and have some time on their own!

Why “Minimalist” + “Santorini” Should Always Go Together

One doesn’t immediately think “minimalist” when you say the words “Santorini destination wedding,” but after seeing this lovely celebration photographed by Les Anagnou and planned by Santorini Glam Weddings, we think those words ought to go together forever more! We adore the paired down romance of the ceremony, the chic arrangements of bud vases and simple floral clusters by Betty Flowers Santorini, and the sleek all white reception set up by Spicy Bites Catering, so scroll on and be convinced minimalist Santorini is the next big thing.

From Les AnagnouSummer was here. The sky was blue, the sound of crashing waves echoed in the distance, the breeze of the Aegean Sea rolled softly through the air and streamed into the open doors. The bridesmaids moved gently around the room, while Ji transformed into the beautiful bride she was ready to become. Jonathan, handsome in his black tuxedo, waited patiently for Ji to descend the cobblestone steps, glowing from happiness in her flowing white gown and her elegant high heels. What makes us come back over and over again to this wedding is that from the very beginning to the end, we were in love with the elegant and minimalist details of the invitations, the special yet intimate and beautiful adornment, the calm flow of the ceremony, the warmth of the couple, and their dedication to each other, all set against the backdrop of the magnificent Caldera and the endless Aegean Sea.

From The 12 EventsHana and Aly’s elegant wedding had our greenery-loving hearts aflutter! Married in the Athenian Riviera, at the exquisite Island Residence, the couple wished to keep everything light and organic in accord with the verdant surroundings of their luxurious venue.

Bringing their vision to life, we incorporated canopies of fresh foliage, ferns, eucalyptus, ruscus, amaranthus, myrtle, and olive branches with a few pops of pinks and porcelain whites, in order to create a revitalizing and classically chic feel.

Caped by greenery-heavy floral installations, arches, massive floral arrangements, and crystal chandeliers added more glamour to the long, slender leaves, maintaining the minimalist look.

Bundles of stunning greenery centerpieces bound with peonies, hydrangeas, garden roses, Queen Anne’s lace and beautifully decorated the tables, aside intricate rustic frames, votive candles, Baccarat candelabra, and superb flatware and linens, all in white, gold and green tones.

Hana and Aly’s way of catering to their guests’ sweet tooth included a rustic farm table topped with large emerald glass vases. Fab pastry creations, themed after gold and green olives, leafy and aurelian macarons and “koufeta” (bonbons), tiers of pops, syrupy delights, as well as an assortment of small and larger cakes, kept our dessert bar on a super sweet and stylish note.

Wedding favors galore were perfectly placed on repurposed rustic tables and benches. Goodie bags filled with organic products for all, hand-made filigree parasols, monogrammed gilded pendants, hand fans and timbrels bound with olive leaves and ribbons for the ladies, and fedora hats made to order for the gentlemen, gracefully placed on a frame and ready to pick up.

We were so delighted to integrate a whooping metal gazebo styled with long cascades of trailing vines and orchids. The tree trunks and pavements of the gardens were all invested with a sea of candles and fairy lights all adding a fairytale twist to our elegant reception.

Styling the bride and groom’s getaway mobile with matching to the overall floral design blooms, gave us the perfect excuse to admire this vintage classic Mercedes, which honked its happy horn late at night as the newlyweds took off in superb style.

From White Ribbon Boutique Events… They have been together for ELEVEN years. They met at the age of 18, the first year of university and fell in love. The bride pursued the groom and when he rejected her first invitation for a date, the bride, Courtney didn’t give up. They soon started dating, fell in love… and never stopped. After eleven years of life, travel, and love they have formed a true partnership.

In 2014 they spent a month traveling and sailing in Greece and absolutely fell in love with the culture, people and beauty and wanted to share this with their friends and family. So three years later, 80 of their nearest and dearest, gathered on the island of Paros in the Cyclades for a four day celebration.

Celebrations were kicked off with a welcome dinner at the picturesque Lefkes Village. The next day the group enjoyed a wine tour and tasting followed by a sunset cocktail in Naoussa Town on the waterfront.

The next day was the big day. The couple planned a first look followed by an intimate ceremony by the Cycladic cliffs performed by one of their closest friends and the groom’s mother. The cocktail hour was held under an aged plane tree with custom cocktails the couple had designed for their guests. The most spectacular setting was that of dinner, which took place on the olive grove of a private villa, with long Italian style tables and glistening lights decorating each olive tree.

The celebrations were concluded with a traditional boat trip ride to nearby islands the next day in the majestic Aegean sea.

Beautiful + Romantic Santorini Wedding Film

This was Denee Motion’s first venture in filming in Santorini but we’d bet it won’t be their last. One viewing of this wedding and all the beauty they captured, and there’s no doubt that they rocked it. From the sweet moments between the couple to all the amazing details courtesy of Santorini Glam Weddings and Betty Flowers Santorini, Denee Motion got them all on camera and we’re oh so happy they did!

From Denee Motion… This was our first wedding assignment in Santorini and we went there in advance to explore the grounds and do some location scouting. There were two operators on this job: Denee Motion’s founder Denis and his assistant Janis who flew all the way from Riga. We met our couple in London a year prior and we knew there were the right couple for us. Zoë was so excited about having the video for her wedding which was a good indicator! They were really natural on the day and were enthusiastic and keen on our ideas. Hence, it was super easy to produce a beautiful wedding trailer and film for them. Enjoy!

Get 3x the Inspo From This Mykonos Wedding Workshop

It’s a rare treat when we get to showcase not one, not two, but three talented photographers’ work in a single feature, so be prepared for an extra dose of lovely. Below, Sotiris Tsakanikas, Anna Roussos, and Gianluca + Mary Adovasio share their photographs from The Secret Owl, a dreamy wedding photography workshop held at the famous windmills on Mykonos. And if you’re longing for more, WedColors Cinematography captured behind-the-scenes footage along with a sneak peak of the workshop’s other magical vignettes designed by De Plan V.

[iframe http://player.vimeo.com/video/233579568 600 338]

Envisioning a young pair of heavenly creatures who jet off to the most sought after Greek summer destination, we took this photoshoot to the iconic windmills, a landmark of the Mykonos’s rich, virile past. A symbol of hope, growth, and the repeated circle of life, the 16th-century grain refineries overlook the hill of Alefkandra like a line of eternal guardians of the land. Delicate earth tones and dusky soft pinks surround the snow-white, spherical shapes, which along with the Cycladic-blue painted doors made for the perfect rustic island-hopping setting.

Reflecting on the lavish ancient Greek nuptial feasts, De Plan V brought the details to life using gorgeous rose gold, claret, and Persian apple (the name for “peach” in antiquity) accents in their bold floral arrangements. The wedding stationery by Atelier Invitations in watercolors and calligraphy reflected the hues and softness of native flora caressed by the sunset. Menus and guest tags were neatly tucked under rhubarb-hued cloth napkins, embellished with mother-of-pearl rings. Roman glass, amber tone candlestick holders, and dainty patterned porcelain (alluding to the old artisanal technique of Greek isle embroidery) by White Lilac created a medley of elegance and grace for the couple’s reception. The beautiful marble peach and white wedding cake by Baskit exquisitely set the table for this intimate dining experience.

We loved how Eleni Balkouli from Love4Wed styled the couple. The Bride’s wedding dress by Katia Delatola – with its delicate tulle epaulets, a diaphanous silk cutout, and open back – was ideal for the flyaway silhouette of a young Bride and perfectly matched the Groom’s understated dandy-cut tuxedo, hand-tailored by Teti Charitou.

The Secret Owl is an exclusive suite of fine-art wedding photography workshops in Greece, established and curated by Sotiris Tsakanikas. Inspired by the many faces as well as the cultural, artistic, and historical layers of the land, his courses co-mentor with wedding industry-leading vendors focus on the development of a design-filled branding philosophy, elevating expediency and a unique visual language.

From Sotiris TsakanikasWhere pure sophistication meets privacy, in the luxurious Alegria Estate on Kalafatis beach, Sandrella and Hisham’s portraiture was all about the delicate opulence always so palpable in the sweet Mykonian afternoons. A Modern Elopement Overlooking the Aegean Sea

When you share a love of travel and exploring, a destination wedding in Santorini is the perfect choice. This couple fell in love with the white-washed architecture, pops of blues and stunning ocean views and with the help of  a savvy group of vendors, they channeled all that into a gorgeous modern celebration built for two. Designed by Tie the Knot in Santorini, along with florals by Betty Flowers Santorini, see this rooftop wedding unfold through the gorgeous images by Anna Roussos.

From the bride… My husband is from the USA and I am from Ecuador. We both lived in Europe for a while and met at work in Belgium. Eventually, he returned to San Francisco and we were long distance for about a year until I moved there to be with him. Being so far apart for over a year was tough but we made the best of it by traveling together as often as we could. We love Europe and visited many cities together but we never made it to Santorini. We chose to have our special day there because it’s a place that both of us had always wanted to visit, the white washed cliff houses and blue roof churches are so pretty and the views are unforgettable! We always knew that we didn’t want a big wedding. With our friends and family spread across the world, even planning a small wedding seemed daunting. Eloping was the perfect choice for us! Since we wouldn’t have any guests it was very important to have nice pictures to show our family and friends. We spent a lot of time looking for photographers who have experience shooting in Santorini. Eventually, we met Anna and fell in love with her work as soon as we saw it. Hiring her was one of the first (and best) decisions we made. We wanted our elopement to be simple, modern, and minimal. Maria from Tie the Knot in Santorini did an amazing job in bringing our vision to life – the flowers, the cake, the private dinner – she went above and beyond, always with a smile. We wanted it to be very private and intimate, so we had the ceremony and dinner on the terrace of the beautiful villa we rented. Aenaon Villas is absolutely incredible – so white and minimal – as soon as we saw pictures we knew that it would be the perfect venue!

The Kind of Destination Wedding You Want to Be a Guest At

An invitation arrives on your doorstep for a wedding in Greece—what do you do? RSVP, hell yes! Especially when it’s a stunner like this one planned by White Ribbon Boutique Events. From the Bride’s elegant dress to the breezy al fresco reception, Anna Roussos snapped up every bit, which will have you adding this destination to your bucket list.

From the Bride… We knew when we decided to get married in Greece that we wanted to do something different and a little off the beaten path. Our desire was to show our guests a different side to Greece and the island of Spetses was just the place. The Poseidonion Grand Hotel is not only a landmark of the island, but the most elegant destination. It offered a touch of old-school glam against beautiful blue sea views, lavender blossoms in the garden, a grand staircase (perfect for our first look!) and the glass-tiled pool. As for our ceremony and reception, we really wanted something unique. We decided on Agios Georgios Church and the adjacent Zogeria Beach. The secluded destination, lush greenery and gorgeous waters of the Argolic Gulf were the most idyllic backdrop. Our guests witnessed were transported to Zogeria (accessible by boat only) on the Buona Fortuna boat and witnessed our traditional Greek Orthodox ceremony at the most charming white washed church. Post ceremony, we ventured down the breathtaking path to our beach party setup. The soft color palette really accented the natural beauty of the setting along with the dance floor off the water and the string bistro lighting. The fireworks were the perfect ending the evening as guests danced the night away!
