Provence Garden Wedding Inspiration at Château de Sannes

If I ever do a vow renewal in France, I’m calling up Jennifer Fox Weddings, Floresie and Oliver Fly. Once you feast your eyes on this unbelievably beautiful editorial—full of Provençal charm—you’ll see why. Pulling inspiration straight from Château de Sannes, you’ll find the most perfect shades of blue set against the lushest greens. Provence Classics joined in for Harry and Meghan-style getaway, upping the cool factor even more. There are over 150 images in the full gallery and only a handful below, so make sure to dive into the full gallery, too!

From Jennifer Fox WeddingsFor our Provence wedding editorial, the design inspiration came directly from the elegance of the château itself and its remarkable gardens and landscape. Our goal was create a full wedding design concept that was fresh, romantic and elegantly luxurious with a touch of Provençal charm, which would naturally highlight the magnificent property, Château de Sannes.

Each element was chosen with intention and was captured lovingly by Oliver Fly Photography. The soft sea foam and pale lemon color palette with accents of gold and copper, the delicate Berta wedding gown with the perfect touch of sparkle, the curved shape of the ceremony floral arch, the calligraphy scrolls and napkin placement to mimic an “S” as in Sannes (there is an S above the rounded door of the château entrance!); each was chosen by design.

We focused on showing as many details as possible to represent the experience of what having a real wedding at such a venue is like. Our invitation suite and calligraphy details from Truffy Pi featured hand made paper with gold painted accents and featured a reoccurring watercolor design theme. A welcome box full of French goodies included Jordan almonds from Ladurée and a mini bottle of olive oil produced by the château itself.

For the floral design, Florésie used aster, delphinium, foxgloves, tulips, butterfly ranunculus, alstroemeria and garden roses to create the oh so elegant ceremony arch and grounded horseshoe, centerpieces and bridal bouquet. The ceremony space including the chairs, with the beautiful olive grove in the background, was arranged in a rounded design to represent the coming together of the couple with their family in addition to highlighting the running “S” theme. The bouquet was dripping with these dreamy blooms and provided numerous showstopper moments for our bride!

As an added touch of elegant whimsy and Provençal charm, the cocktail lounge area sat in-between two trees which framed the property’s incredible Cyprus tree garden and featured light colored bamboo furniture and high top tables covered with lightweight seafood green linens from Madame de la Maison. Yummy savory nibbles from Roland Paix Traiteur sat on the cocktail buffet and a champagne tower bubbled in the background as our bride and groom posed with their floral adorned, furry friend.

On the dinner table, wooden candlestick holders sat along side etched glass votives and metallic tea candle holders. White and mint colored linens blew gently in the breeze, as a means to highlight the soft colors of the château in the background. We paired detailed cream colored Italian charger plates with gold rimmed dinner plates and copper flatware from Maison Christina in order to add a pop of luxury. A scroll with the name of each guest sat on top of each menu with the centerpieces overlooking each place setting from above. Effortless elegance at its finest.

For dessert, Made in Cake created designer cookies and sugar flowers with not one, not two but three wedding cakes. The delicate hand made sugar flowers adorned each of the square cakes and were the real stand out of the dessert table. The vision for the square shaped cakes was to include a more contemporary design accent to juxtapose with all of the curve shapes in the other design elements. There is always a fun design exception to the rule.

Though out the day, the bride looked like a dream in her flowing floor length Berta gown, jeweled Bella Belle wedding shoes and diamond and jade earrings from Lindsay Marie Design. When the time came for her to put on her veil, there was not a closed jaw in sight, she looked incredible! We chose this look to keep with the effortless elegance intention of the concept without forsaking the luxury of the design. It was after all a luxury wedding in Provence. For their send off, Provence Classics provided the couple with a black 1960 MG roadster so that they could drive off in style.

French Garden Wedding Inspiration at Château de Villette

French garden wedding goodness at a dreamy chateau? Yes, please! If any of the preceding words are in your wedding vocabulary, I urge you to carve out some time today to get cozy with this blueprint for beauty. Planned and designed by Fete in France, this editorial features an edgy emerald hue we don’t often see—making it all the more alluring. And what’s more, Koman Photography documented every ounce of inspiration to perfection per usual. Don’t miss their striking film below, too!

From Fete in France… When the opportunity came up to do a styled shoot at the beautiful Château de Villette we jumped at the chance. This spectacular property, nicknamed Le Petit Versailles, located not far from Paris is one that we have long admired for its perfectly symmetrical 17th century proportions, stately décor and formal Jardin à la française designed by André Le Nôtre, the same landscape architect responsible for the gardens at Versailles.

With the talented team of the Komans behind the photo and video lenses we had our departure point for the shoot! After re-visiting the spaces we decided to actually use the Orangerie which had beautiful light during the day and afforded us a neutral canvas for our table set up. The Orangerie was full of lemon trees being stored for the winter and those deep green leaves and citrus colors ultimately inspired our décor.

With a backdrop of the clean stone, we wanted to infuse a pop of color and warmer texture so we had a velvet tablecloth custom made of the event in a dark green to set off the soft citrus hues of yellows, oranges, and pinks artfully arranged by Floraison.

We then accented the table with fresh white linen napkins, blue Porto plates and green and blue glassware provided by Maison Options. In lieu of traditional paper, the talented Joy of Studio French Blue personalized alabaster coasters in gold calligraphy at each place setting.

Sweet Creations Cakes integrated the emerald green perfectly into the cake design with a stunning modern geode design. Fresh colors were peppered throughout the design and we had fun styling all the brightly-hued ring boxes from Voeu du Coeur, the green stationery by Studio French and the accessories by Lindsay Marie Design.

Lush Wedding Inspiration with Modern Elegance at Château De La Napoule

The sun-soaked French Riviera, colorful blooms, a to-die-for Naeem Khan dress and photos by Oliver Fly Photography… I mean, does it get much better than this, folks? I think not. Prepare to fall in love with every intricate detail of this modern yet elegant editorial at Château De La Napoule planned and designed by White Eden Weddings. The stunning tablescape adorned with heavenly flowers from Miss Rose by Perrine will take your breath away while the ceremony site is unlike anything you’ve ever seen before. Alright, enough talking, it’s time to get inspired…

From White Eden WeddingsWhen thinking up our vision for this editorial, we had three words in mind: colorful, lush and refined. We wanted to embrace the sunny nature of the French Riviera and combine it with modern elegance. We based ourselves at the stunning Chateau de la Napoule to create that colorful and refined inspiration, especially in the stunning « Lovers garden » which we turned into a romantic, pastel filled and elegant cocoon.

This intimate garden overlooks the sea -the essence of the French Riviera, and is surrounded by the stone castle and lush greenery, which creates an incredible intimacy and nature connected sense. Every element of the design is consistent and echoes the next one. It all started with the choice of the venue which is a place made for royalty! We designed all the ingredients of the day to bring a feminine and romantic feel to that masculine Chateau.

The stunning flowers by Miss Rose by Perrine are lush, exquisite and a central element of the day. We focused on a refreshing and sunny pastel color palette to bring some lightness and airiness to the solemnity of the Chateau. The ceremony space was intimate and organic to fully embrace and enhance the existing nature in the garden. Perrine designed a custom arch covered in foliage and flowers as if nature and flowers took over in this space; and incorporated orchids and ranunculus, the favorite flowers of the bride.

The centerpieces were the continuity of the ceremony area with lavish flowers covering the table like a colorful path straight out of our wildest spring dreams. The table was topped with a bespoke velvet pink tablecloth and modern golden flatware that echoed the geometric golden chairs. Touches of pale yellow were added in the flowers to remind the bride’s stunning engagement ring: a yellow diamond solitaire, custom made by Louis Julian. In order to create a link between every moment of the wedding, from the reception of the Save the dates months earlier to the dinner reception, the bespoke stationery accompanies the guests. Delphine from Silent Word Studio created bespoke watercolors of the chateau that were present on the Save the Dates, the invitation suite and the menus. The very original escort cards completed it and actually represent the Chateau once brought together like a puzzle!

We created welcome baskets that could be delivered in hotel rooms to greet guests. These were designed to make them feel as welcome and special as possible and included a hand drawn map of the French Riviera with the events from the welcome dinner to the wedding day to the brunch; gorgeous and delicious treats, and some bubbly to start the wedding celebrations off right! On the day, the intimacy and collusion between the bride and groom was palpable and refreshing, and the show stopping Naeem Khan wedding gown brought a goddess and ethereal look to Laura, our lovely bride, which was complimented with a very light make up and natural hair. Catherine from Made in Cake got actually inspired by it and beautifully reproduced the patterns of the dress on the trio of wedding cakes and on the delicate sugar cookies that were included in the welcome baskets. All of these details would of course be meaningless if not captured perfectly by Oliver Fly, a film photographer as involved as talented. His keen eye for details and unequaled commitment to styling and flawless results enabled us to showcase every aspect of this shoot.

Charming Provence Wedding Inspiration at Domaine Les Martins

I’m quite certain that today’s wedding editorial will be sprinkled across hundreds (if not thousands) of Pinterest boards in wedding land. It’s Provence charm at it’s finest, all thanks to Janna Brown Design Co.. Set at Domaine Les Martins, the simply beautiful touches like white roses and romance-driven calligraphy compliment the old-world vibe like no other. I urge you to visit the full gallery from Katie Grant Photography—it’s loaded with even more goodness!

From Janna Brown Design Co.When asked to design a 1:1 workshop near Gordes, I stumbled upon Domaine Les Martins, and knew it was the perfect fit. I was seeking a venue filled with warmth, character, oozing French charm, and Domaine les Martins was just that. Owners Regis and David have created a slice heaven with this bed and breakfast, with each corner of the property reminicent of a page out of Vogue Living.

As we were in Provence, I wanted to indulge in the idea of baguettes, cheese and wine, and I based our tablescape on these elements. Editorial sessions allow a bit more flexibility with design, and I wanted to create an unconventional table setting. We spent the morning in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, sourcing cheese and bread from all of the local shoppes. We foraged wild clematis vine from the roadside, and found a charming florist who provided us with beautiful white roses.

While browsing the garden area, we stumbled upon curious snails, who could not have been more fitting for our paper details. We focused on the details of the paper goods and tablescape, and kept the bridal look quite simple with dewy makeup and a delicate gown by Cathy Telle. Our stunning friends, Zhenya and Julius, complimented the venue in neutral colors, with Julius in a casual trouser and linen jacket. Zhenya’s bouquet was oversized and untamed, brimming with wild clematis.

Dreamy Anniversary Session in Lavender Fields & Cobblestone Streets of Provence

Raise your hand if a visit to the Provence lavender fields is on your bucket list! If not, after today’s dreamy (read: GORGEOUS) anniversary session with Oliver Fly, it 1000% will be. Can you even imagine how divine the scent must be, standing right here? You can almost smell the calming aroma in the full gallery.

From the Bride… It has always been a dream of mine since I was a teenager to travel to France and see the lavender fields in bloom. While I have been lucky enough to travel extensively over the last five years with my job as a wedding photographer (and often to France!) the timing never worked out quite right so that I could see it in bloom. That all changed this year when I was hired to shoot a wedding in the South of France for early July. The lavender is only in peak season for 4 weeks or so out of every year, and it looked like we were going to be there just in time – I was so excited! In honor of my five year wedding anniversary with my husband Jordan, we decided that we would be in front of the cameras for our own shoot, in the lavender fields of France.

It took me about two seconds to know who I wanted to shoot our anniversary session – my wonderful friend and talented photographer, Oliver Fly. Oliver and I attended a photography workshop several years ago in France, and became friends through the process – often Skypeing with each other across the world or trying to meet up whenever we were in the same hemisphere to catch up and share lives as fellow photographers. Luckily, Oliver was already going to be in Provence at the time, so it was kismet!

After a whirlwind three days of shooting a wedding and teaching a workshop in Provence- we were tired, but so excited and ready for our shoot. Our dear friend Clari with Tepeino Puntocom had flown in from Argentina to be the hair and makeup artist for our workshops, and so she was able to do my hair and makeup for our shoot. It felt like such a reunion as she had done my hair and makeup five years ago when Jordan and I eloped in Argentina – and she is just magic! My close friend and talented floral artist, Twyla with Remi + Gold, was also in France for the wedding and workshops; she was able to pick flowers from the Saturday market to make a beautiful bouquet for me as well. Words can’t express how fortunate I felt to have this dream team around me!

We started the shoot off in Lacoste, a tiny Provence village filled with cobblestone streets and stone walls with French blue shutters – it was like being in a postcard. The town wasn’t very busy at all that day so it felt like we had the whole town to ourselves. We then jumped in the car and chased the sun to get to the lavender fields (and of course, Oliver knew of the best place!) When I stepped out, I literally couldn’t believe my eyes. Rows and rows of lavender for as far as the eye could see- it was endless. The air smelled so strong of lavender, and it was filled with the hum of happy, buzzing bees everywhere. We changed outfits and ran out into the fields to catch the last of the golden hour light with Oliver behind the lens.

I still can’t believe that after years of dreaming about being able to see the lavender fields in person, that this dream finally came true for me this year. Jordan and I are beyond lucky to have had this amazing team of professionals and dear friends who could join us for our anniversary shoot, to create photos that we will cherish for years to come. My greatest advice to anyone contemplating an anniversary shoot or any travel shoot is – just do it! It will be one of the best investments of your memories when you travel, when you experience that fleeting magic in time.

Magical Bordeaux Wedding at Château Lavergne & Chateau De La Ligne

Get ready to be charmed, babes. Today’s soiree—set at not one, but two lovely chateaus in Bordeaux—is absolutely overflowing with the most playful kind of elegance. Bree and Lee recruited the help of Laura Dova Weddings to craft their dream celebration and that it was. One look at the gallery from Dyanna LaMora and you’ll see why!

From the Dyanna LaMoraBree and Lee and their bridal party got ready at the gorgeous Chateau de la Ligne in Bordeaux. The bride and groom and their whole bridal party is so full of life, and the day was so joyful while we captured all their beautiful moments, including Bree toasting champagne with her bridesmaids as well as the women praying over her before the ceremony, Lee watching his bride walk down the lawn in front of Chateau Lavergne, the most magical and dreamy ceremony ever, and taking bride and groom formals in the rain.

A fresh white reception welcomed guests after cocktail hour. Pretty pastel florals graced the tables as well as Bordeaux wine. Guests found their seats by picking up a wine cork holder, enjoyed a cheese wheel cake and pink macarons, and danced the night away to the most incredible band. Laura Dova Weddings made sure everything was perfect, and it was. And to Bree and Lee, you’re two of the most beautiful souls I know, and it was my honor to capture your love in both New York City and in Bordeaux, France. What an adventure it was!

From the Laura Dova WeddingsDyanna said it all, but I would like to add the most magical moment of the day was the ceremony. It had been pouring rain the whole morning. One hour before the ceremony the sky was clear blue with no clouds and the sun was shining like it was a summer day. So we decided to uninstall the ceremony inside and re install it outside – thanks to amazing vendors that all went for this last minute decision. We made the most of it because 10 minutes after the end of the ceremony it started pouring rain again.  For me it’s all about karma and these two just have a pretty damn good one!

Ethereal France Destination Wedding at Chateau de Varennes

I do a fair share of stalking my wedding vendor crushes on Insta and two of them, Sinclair & Moore and O’Malley Photographers just so happen to have made this dreamy destination soiree come to life. I’m also quite certain that I watched all the behind the scenes IG stories with @sinclairandmoore of this exact wedding while it was happening. And friends, ohhh, is it charming beyond words. The florals, the “kissing swing”, the dress, the chateau, the ceremony, the getaway car… all. of. the. above.

From O’Malley PhotographersFelicia and Hadley met in Stockholm but it wasn’t long before Felicia left everything she knew and followed her heart to NYC to be with Hadley. Once engaged, with family and friends spread across the globe (she is Swedish and he is Chinese), it was obvious they should hold their celebration in the beautiful rolling hills of France, a gorgeous central spot for everyone to come together and celebrate.

The couple rented out Chateau de Varennes for the week and enjoyed the tranquility of the private chateau, as well as the sun and wine in the surrounding area. The overall theme of their wedding was romantic-ethereal and this feel was achieved perfectly with elements such as custom illustration and calligraphy by Sally Balt of la Happy and lush, seasonal botanicals by Sinclair & Moore. From the floral-adorned getting ready suite to the lush floral ceremony backdrop and “kissing swing”, everything was thoughtfully planned out to create a gorgeous, intimate and celebratory atmosphere for all of the guests. Felicia and Hadley were incredible hosts, throwing various wine tastings and parties throughout the week including a welcome dinner and farewell brunch to see off all their guests the day after the wedding.

One sweet moment on the wedding day was when Felicia’s father said “their love was in the making for centuries” and everyone present knew this was true of the couple. This wedding truly was a joyous celebration of two individuals and families coming together for the rest of time.

[iframe http://player.vimeo.com/video/305492976 600 338]

From Linda ChampenoisWhen Jeremy Froeliger, photographer, contacted me to offer me to realize a photoshoot in Vence, in the South of France, to represent an elopment, it was an obviousness for me, to showcase this precious moment and the freshness of the gorgeous region, the French Riviera. In the Chateau Saint Martin, 5 stars, from the Oetker Collection, the charm of Provence and luxury are ubiquitous. Modernity and elegance are only one as our couple of young lovers.

Our heart stroke was the Chapel with the work of Erick Ifergan, the tree of life, idyllic for an intimate ceremony. Throughought this scenography, we wanted to represente an elopment in the French Riviera, with sophistication and modernity whilst having always the authenticity of this XII century castle. A vintage car from 1958 MGA Roaster, a sumptuous Couture dress by Inbal Dror, freshness from the garden roses in the bride bouquet, an extraordinary panoramic view, define a fantastic place for a wedding that we wanted to share through the work of each professional of the team.

Stunning French Blue Wedding Inspiration at Château de Carsix

Whenever a few of our favorite vendors come together, we’re always awe-struck by the inspiring designs and sheer magic they create! Today’s gorgeous shoot with styling by Joy Proctor for Kayla Barker Photography’s workshop is every francophile’s wedding heaven. From the garden floral arrangements by Bows and Arrows to the stunninggg puff sleeve gown from Yolan Cris Haute Couture! Oh, and did we mention the cutest flowers girls of all time? Yup. We’re beyond obsessed.

From Joy Proctor Design It was such an honor to design Kayla Barker‘s workshop in the Normandy region of France. The inspiration for my design was the incredible location of Chateau de Carsix.

The expansive gardens and incredible chateau were the most inspiring backdrop on which to design. As a nod to the country’s history, I chose a French Blue as the base color, playing with creme, taupe and peach tones (reminiscent of the brick exterior) for the color palette.

We watched as the bride got ready in custom Madeline Fig lingerie. Escorted by her two nieces, donning matching lace and tulle gowns, the bride chose flowers from the garden for her bouquet. The ceremony held on the front drive, with two beautiful arches of flowers growing around the place where vows were exchanged.

Dinner was held in the grand ballroom, with a long table covered in a soft blue linen. White porcelain, mother of pearl flatware and napkins with the menu printed on them in calligraphy were highlights of the look. Guests were gifted with favors of tea following the wedding, wishing them a beautiful evening.

Registration is open for Kayla’s next workshop – be sure to secure a spot before they’re all gone! Check out this gorgeous video by Ale Vidal to get a behind the scenes look at this heavenly day.

Intimate & Minimalist Celebration on the French Riviera at Cap d’Antibes

Coralie and Rei’s energy is like Yin and Yang, gentleness and strength, represented by the elements of water and rock in the background of their union, as Linda Champenois explains. The two actresses chose an intimate affair with a minimal vibe for ther union, letting their surroundings serve as a stunning backdrop. Jeremy Froeliger‘s imagery encapsulates their deep love with every breathtaking portrait—see them all here in the full gallery.

From Linda Champenois… Coralie and Rei’s relationship began three years ago; a meeting, a bombshell, some bursts of laughter, an “I Love You”, a proposal on stage. The actresses wanted an intimate ceremony with only the two of them and to celebrate their union in a way unique to them.

Their energy is like Yin and Yang,  gentleness and strength, represented by the elements of water and rock in the background of their union. Coralie and Rei are like to opposite pieces but complementary. Their love and their complicity was palpable.

Linda Champenois took care of the scenography of this instant in life, natural and authentic, free like them… with a sophisticated floral design realized by Esther Lamarche. Solange, our celebrant who united them on this amazing place at Cap d’Antibes. Jeremy knew how to catch and immortalize this instant of life. Thanks to him, we can relive this moment through his gorgeous shots.

A Charming Weekend Engagement in Provence

Destination engagement sessions always make us so happy, they combine our two favorite things: love and travel. What more could a girl ask for, am I right?! This sweet engagement session in Provence planned by Love & Provence and photographed by Oliver Fly Photography is a breath of fresh air. It’s complete with a classic getaway car, sweeping views and a champagne toast! We’re in love!!

From Oliver Fly Photography... Provence has so much to offer for Engagement Sessions. It is one of the most unique places in the world where, no matter the season, there are landscapes, colours and lighting that cannot be rivalled. You will never go wrong in choosing Provence as the backdrop for any shoot; be it with the lavender in the summer or the vines turning the most magical auburn colours in Autumn!

Last summer, I had the privilege and honor to capture the engagement session of this lovely couple during their glorious weekend getaway in Provence. Capturing those precious memories was a delight and especially during a fantastic sunset in the middle of luxurious nature, accompanied by the song of cicadas. My personal goal in every shoot is to ensure a memorable experience that reflects the joy, elegance and romance of the couple and the location.

A destination engagement shoot gives you the opportunity to getaway and create unforgettable memories for the two of you to start your journey together. Scouting the best locations is an important part of my work as a photographer, as I want to offer to the couples, the best unique sceneries to magnify their love. There is no better way to add the most unique twist to a shoo than with a classic car to cruise around in, adding that extra touch of colour and elegance to a romantic weekend.

There are certain elements that a photographer (especially a film photographer) needs in order to capture the perfect picture and some can only be given by nature, mainly, the light! And Provence has some of the most magical light around, especially at sunset. You can’t really get anything wrong when you have the best ingredients for an amazing engagement shoot, from the location, light, car and colours to work with; everything was naturally stunning making it effortless to get those perfect photos that you will keep forever.

A Classic Wedding at Chateau St. Georges in the French Riviera

Grab your passports because this stunning wedding is taking you straight to a fairytale chateau in Grasse, France (also known as the perfume capital of the world!) Guests watched the adorable couple exchange vows in an indoor ceremony overlooking the French Riviera and dined al fresco at tables dressed to the nines with floral from Wayne Riley Flowers. Audra Wrisley Photography captured the celebrations perfectly and Wanderlust Wedding made sure the day went off without a hitch. See the all the magic at the full gallery, voila!

From Audra Wrisley PhotographyFrancophiles Ashley and Dustin worked for the same company, and there had been so much pressure built-up by people who told them they would be such a perfect match, that Ashley cancelled their first date because she was too nervous. Fate decided otherwise, and six years later Ashley & Dustin were engaged during a sunset drive up the coast of Monaco.

They decided quickly that the only place they could envision themselves tying the knot, would be in the French Riviera, and they invited an intimate group of friends and family to celebrate their marriage with them in the country of love. With the guidance of Wanderlust Weddings they selected the stunning Chateau St. Georges as their venue, right outside Grasse, the perfume capital of the world. Dustin went out the day before their wedding to create a custom scent for Ashley at perfume house Molinard – a perfect gift to remember their wedding for years to come.

Embracing the elegant beauty of the chateau, Ashley and Dustin wanted to accentuate the amazing architectural and natural details and chose gold accents, french blue linens, lots of candles, and dreamy florals in ivory and greenery. Expertly designed by Wanderlust Weddings, their wedding day carried a classic french tone with a modern twist, which perfectly exemplifies their style.

Ashley and Dustin decided to have their wedding ceremony indoors, in front of a gilded window overlooking the countryside of the French Riviera. The intimate setting provided an incredible backdrop with an asymmetrical floral arch, lots of candles and ghost chairs as to not detract from the beauty of the space, The guests were moved to tears when the couple read their self-written vows, and the tears continued to flow during the beautiful toasts to follow. For the ceremony, Ashley wore a classic Anne Barge gown and later changed into a stunning Eve of Milady dress for the reception, and she wowed everyone when the couple joined their guests for dinner after a few sunset portraits on the terrace. Dustin wore a beautiful white dinner jacket with his tuxedo, and the bridal party wore black tuxes with the ladies accompanying them in gorgeous gray-blue dresses from Jenny Yoo. Music was provided by the acoustic band The Jukes, who welcomed their guests to a 5 course al fresco dinner under cafe lights, and had everyone on dancing under the stars until the early hours of the morning.

A Pomegranate and Peony Summer Wedding at Chateau Bouffémont

Today’s gorgeous Chateau Bouffémont wedding planned by Lovin Concept with photos from Mariel Hannah is not only a celebration of love, but also a very important day in France – Bastille Day!!!  This elegant, peony-filled wedding has the most delicious color palette of pomegranate, garnet and shades of pink. We still can’t get over how cute and creative the place cards are. And of course, it’s complete with an epic firework show to end the night with a bang… obsessed is truly an understatement!

From Lovin ConceptWhen you get married in France in the most magical chateau and the day happens to fall on Bastille day, you can expect the most fairytale-like firework show to complete the celebrations.

Antoine & Gizem got married in a Chateau just one hour outside of Paris. This elevated, yet incredibly relaxed celebration was full of stylish guests from around the globe, tasty wine and un-paralleled cuisine. Everything you would expected from a wedding in France.

Gizem with her refined elegance wore a beautiful Jenny Packham dress. After finding and booking the perfect venue, it was time to choose a bespoke style. Flowers for for the fireplace, details, the stationery… First, choose a pretty palette to enhance the green walls of the main room. With tons of fig, garnet and shades of pink the result will be beautiful. Peonies, garden roses and blackberries result in a pretty little variety of flowers .. Add a touch of gold to highlight this gourmet arrangement creating a modern yet elegant table.

To welcome the guests, we created unique place cards – a bud vase pomegranate made custom for the wedding in Turkey with gold calligraphy to contrast clearly with the dark pomegranates. Some other unique details of the table were various memories of vacations with vintage photos taken all around the world.

Paired with a refined cocktail menu, the reception was a french dinner served with a fresh Amuse-bouche of cantaloupe suprême with ginger ice cream and mint coulis, slow-cooked veil confit, and many different sorts of desserts. And of course, champagne! This unforgettable day was sunny, joyful and radiant!

A Fairytale Wedding at Château De Robernier in Provence

When former Miss Scotland weds an international Scottish rugby player – you know it’s going to be one gorgeous wedding! White Eden Weddings planned their fairytale day at Château de Robernier in the romantic Provence region of France. The bride couldn’t have looked more beautiful in her drop-dead Galia Lahav gown while her bridesmaids stunned in shimmering lavender dresses, all captured by Craig & Eva Sanders Photography. Don’t miss out on the emotional video by Heart Visuals at the end (you’ll want the tissue box nearby for this one!)

From White Eden WeddingsEllie and Richie’s wedding was planned and designed to be a true fairytale for them and their guests. Richie is an international Scottish rugby player and plays pro in Toulouse, France. Ellie is a student and former Miss Scotland.

They met in June 2011 in Glasgow and started dating in December. Richie proposed in September 2015 and they’ve contacted us in July 2017, one year before their wedding to plan their dream day.

Ellie’s idea was to plan a very elegant and refined wedding, around a color palette of gold, white and lots of gypsophila. We had a very high level of custom, starting with the bespoke stationery suite – designed by the great Laila Lettering– which featured the hand drawn Chateau, in gold foil, to the favors (personalized candle for the ladies, whisky bottle for the gentlemen), to the hand calligraphed place cards stung into French vanilla macaroons.

The aesthetics was one part of this beautiful wedding, as Craig & Eva Sanders captured it so well, but the atmosphere was equally important to Ellie & Richie and everything was thought to make the guests feel comfortable, welcome and loved; and make sure they were having an amazing time.

A bagpiper accompanied Ellie as she walked down the aisle, a caricaturist entertained the guests during the cocktail hour where they could also sip the 2 signature cocktails while enjoying typical and provencal canapés. This wedding was visually beautiful but the love we could feel from the guests for these two lovebirds was truly breathtaking.

Lake Annecy Wedding in Talloires, France with a Kenyan Twist

It’s never easy to choose one image to start with in the wedding features I write. But this scene in today’s soiree from Amy Fanton had my curiosity piqued from the get go. With a beautiful turquoise blue sheen on the water—similar to that of Lake Como—I had to know where these I dos took place. And it happens to be 5 hours west, at Lake Annecy in France. With a simply elegant vibe, this duo tied in both their French and African roots, for a day that was classic and timeless.

From Amy Fanton… This beautiful wedding was a classic french soirée in the mountainside and lakeside village of Talliores, France (Annecy) where the bride grew up spending her summers with her family. The groom and his family are from Kenya, and the couple tried their best to tie in details from their French and African roots while keeping the overall decor classic, elegant and timeless. The bride chose the color palate to compliment Lake Annecy with soft blues, greens and golds. She wore a magnificent gown from Susan Neville, an art-deco style heirloom ring from the groom’s family, and an heirloom necklace from her own family which was made from a pear necklace of her grandmother. Each of her sisters used a pearl to make their own custom necklaces. The couple tied in the Kenyan side of the family with gorgeous beaded bracelets that were gifted to the bridesmaids, and gold African animal statues as centerpieces, with the Swahili name of the animal as the table name. Fun note: The couple met and lived together during their engagement in London, UK which explains why so many of the female guests are wearing hats! They put clothespins at each of their female guests seats to invite them to ‘hang their hats’ during the reception on a string that hung around the marquee which was a unique touch!

Modern French Wedding at Chateau Courcelles Le Roy

My friends, this is what you get when you blend the charm of a classic French chateau with the prettiest modern vibe. It’s a wedding that will pull you in and hold you there for a while, thanks to Amy Fanton‘s work behind the lens and Loli Events on planning. The venue itself will lure you in with it’s historic beauty, the Bride & Groom will strike your heart with their warm, beautiful love and every detail woven in between is sure to capture your attention. The writeup below includes some must-read moments that you might also want to steal! Make sure to take a peek when you’re done in the full gallery.

From Amy Fanton PhotographyThis American couple met in Washington DC, got engaged while living in London, UK, and tied the knot in an intimate celebration in the French countryside of the Loire Valley!

The couple initially stumbled upon Chateau Courcelles Le Roy on Airbnb while looking for a place that could accommodate as many guests as possible, as so many of them were coming from so far away. They Chateau was perfect as it offered beautiful natural scenery including walking trails, a private chapel, a lake, and gardens.

The bride chose an elegant Maggie Sottero gown with lace detail and a keyhole back, complimented with a braided updo by Storme Webster and fresh, natural makeup by Sylwia Kunsz. Dusty blue suede shoes served as the bride’s ‘something blue’ and tied her look her look into the overall color scheme.

The styling for the wedding was inspired by the rustic greenery of the French countryside. Thistle, succulents, white wax flowers and berries were complimented with a palette of dusty blue, geometric copper details and wooden elements, to give an elegant, modern feel. Chandeliers were adorned with natural greenery to bring in as much of the countryside as possible, with the goal of creating a warm and natural environment without being overly elaborate or distracting.

The blue and copper stationery from Franchette Atelier took cue from French wine labels and used a blend of text and calligraphy. Franchette Atelier also created a beautiful sign that was displayed during the ceremony encouraging guests to turn off their phones and mobile devices. The guests were treated to luggage tags that doubled as escort cards and favors with the words ‘Bon Voyage!’.

Involving their guests in the wedding was very important to the couple. The groom’s grandfather officiated the ceremony, and during the ceremony guests passed and braided a rope as a symbol of their support of the couple’s marriage. The couple finished off the braid and mounted it onto a wooden board, which is now displayed in their home. The couple also displayed photographs from their guests’ own weddings, thanking them for their example and honouring all of their marriages (some as long as 65 years!).

Elegant Pink Wedding at Chateau De Robernier in France

Did you have a chance to peek at this morning’s stunner fete?! It was the very own wedding of the creative geniuses behind White Eden Weddings, Mylène and Geoffrey. Her dress is to DIE. So pretty. We’re back this afternoon with another Big Day they planned in the South of France and it’s equally as gorgeous. With photography by Julie Michaelsen, you’ll have to decide which moment is your personal fave, because there are too many. Mine happens to be this one—all the excitement! Dive into the full gallery for more.

Now sit back, relax and soak in a few minutes of film from cinematographer, Matthias Guerin as Kristen & Aaron exchange some pretty great personal vows and a day filled with the perfect balance of tradition, culture and contemporary fun!
[iframe http://player.vimeo.com/video/300844486 600 338]

From White Eden WeddingsKristen & Aaron’s wedding planning started a bit over a year before the big day and was lead by three key words: refined, French and fun! Both the aesthetics and the experience were important to them, especially that their guests travelled overseas to celebrate their marriage and spent several days in the South of France. It all started with the venue’s choice, and this incredible chateau in the middle of the vineyards & the olive groves in Provence was a must for K&A. Having such a playground was also amazing for us, as we had tens of possibilities, opportunities and ideas to create a unique and beautiful wedding.

Kristen & Aaron lived New York until early September and actually quit their jobs and apartment to travel the world for 6 months. Talk about honeymoon goals! Their wedding was a very special celebration in the sense that it was also the start of this beautiful adventure. Having fun, taking the time to enjoy special moments with their dearest and closest family & friends was then definitely more than a goal, it was a priority.

Kristen & Aaron were both very busy at work and school during the planning and relied on us to put their vision together. We started the styling with a very soft color palette, which included beige, various shades of light pink (Kristen’s all time favorite), gold & shades of green and featured original attentions and creations. We created for instance a petal bar so that guests could create their own petals cones to toss to the newlyweds at the end of the ceremony, with their favorite flowers & colors.

Both the ceremony & reception were designed with consistency, with of course the same color palette but also while keeping in mind to have everyone feeling comfortable during the entire celebrations. The ceremony’s florals path created by the great Sister’s & Blush Florals Studio perfectly enhanced the will of giving a bespoke look to this special day and adding a natural feel to the very refined venue.

The dinner area was also very special and detail-oriented. Kristen’s favorite flower is peony, so we chose beautiful plates with pink peonies and touches of gold to perfectly meet her tastes! Their bespoke and calligraphed day stationery by the talented Silent Word Studio, their unique candlelit sweetheart table and the customized wall of choux (these local French pastries) were some details that really made their wedding warmhearted and pretty, as beautifully captured by Julie Michaelsen.

They day after their massive party – they danced until 4am (!), everyone enjoyed an easy-going recovery brunch in front of the Chateau, by (and in) the pool with a laid-back, in a musical and warm atmosphere.

A Wedding Planner Duo Says I Do in the French Riviera

Meet Mylène and Geoffrey—the power wedding planning duo behind White Eden Weddings. No, they didn’t just plan this gorgeous wedding you’re about to experience… they are the beautiful Bride & Groom. As they do with all of the weddings they design, they poured their heart and soul (with a little extra love) into this Big Day and they’re giving us the most incredible behind the scenes of every detail. With moments to live on forever, thanks to Tatyana ChaikoVicky Lamburn and Matthias Guerin, it’s without question a French Riviera wedding dream turned reality.

From the Bride… An enchanted interlude; this is to us what a wedding should be. When it came to our wedding, we wanted it to be an interlude for us, an interlude from the wedding season, and for our guests, we wanted it to be an unforgettable interlude, out of time, as many of them don’t live in Cannes and were traveling for the occasion.

In order to enjoy as long as possible this special day, we’ve had quite a unusual schedule for the day starting with early drinks & canapés in lieu of lunch around the pool to welcome our guests. This first part was entirely experience oriented! We just wanted everyone to spend a great moment and have time to greet our guests before the ceremony. Our rehearsal dinner the night before was only with our bridal party and very close family, so that was the perfect occasion to catch up with everyone.

We got engaged in December 2016 and we took a year and half to refine and think of every moment and every detail that would help build the perfect day. We are both very family oriented and getting married in Geoffrey’s grand parents’ home was very meaningful and very inspiring.

The ceremony… let’s talk about it! As destination wedding planners, we’ve seen and help creating many of them, but it was finally our turn, and God only knows why, we were stressing over it until the last minute! It turned out to be the most special, moving and magical moment of the day that no words can describe.

The ceremony happened in the middle of the afternoon and was sheltered by a ceiling made of flowers and greenery which created a very intimate and fresh space in the middle of the domaine’s garden. The ceremony itself was officiated by our witness, who happened to be the genius guy who introduced us six years ago, back in Moscow, Russia! It was punctuated by a peonies’ ritual (don’t even google it, it doesn’t exist, but we thought, why not creating our own ritual?). Peonies are our favorite flowers and we wanted it to symbolize our marriage by bringing together two beautiful ones in a vase which symbolized our union. The ceremony was followed by a sweet cocktail hour, literally! Ice creams, pastries & champagne were to us the best way to celebrate such an emotional moment until the sunset.

We wanted the reception to be great but a different experience for everyone. We wanted it to be glamorous but really fun! We had an alfresco dinner and party, overlooking Cannes bay which was simply the best thing we could have hoped for, and it was a blast! We played with our theme in order to create beautiful table arrangements, with tones of soft pink in the flowers and white & gold table setting displayed on bespoke linens.

Refined, bespoke & consistent. This is our line when it comes to style weddings and ours was no exception. We really are into details, and we pay attention to every single of them so they can create an overall consistent styling. From the choice of the linens to the exact foliage or even the escort cards’ table display, we wanted the decor itself to tell a story.

We truly love the place where we got married, not only because it’s sentimentally close to our hearts, but because it’s naturally really beautiful. We chose not to add much in terms of colors in order to let the beauty of the place express, so we went for neutral and soft hues, light blush, cream, and greens

As we both love music, we’ve had several bands and musicians throughout the day to entertain and create a nice atmosphere.

We hired a sketch artist, Märta Wydler to create both an entertainment for everyone (our guests loved coming back and forth watching the evolution of the painting and were so happy to see the finale result!) but also a unique piece of art for us.

In order to keep a great ambiance, we had a strolling band going from tables to tables playing on demand songs and getting the party started. Our amazing DJ Thomas Dusseune took over and got us dancing until 4am under the stars. It was truly the best day and party we could have hoped for!

I think that having designed weddings for years, we knew just how important the choice of who’s on your team really is! There’s nothing better to be confident and to know that everything will be perfectly handled on your wedding day by the vendors you’ve chosen. As wedding planners it was obviously a bit special for us as we have had the very best team we could dream of and several of them actually became friends throughout the years.

[iframe http://player.vimeo.com/video/292136934 600 338]

Tell us anything and everything else you can think of! Inquiring minds want to know!

Ambiance Vision: We knew that our day schedule was not common and was longer than most weddings, so it was extremely important to entertain our guests and make them feel as comfortable as possible. We also know from our business, that atmosphere is the key and -to us- it’s useless to plan a beautiful wedding if you don’t have a great atmosphere and if everyone doesn’t spend a great day.

Cool/Fun/Quirky Details: Well… We can say it, we both are Swifties and have contacted Taylor Swift to ask if she was available to perform at the wedding (we knew she was in Europe at that time for her tour)! Her agent kindly told us it was not even possible to consider this as she wouldn’t take any extra performance during the tour (so we unfortunately wouldn’t be the extra date of her European trip!). However, knowing how destroyed we were (of course, just kidding) our witnesses have recreated Taylor’s Shake it off video clip featuring most of the guests of the wedding and they played it at the end of the dinner! Of course we weren’t aware of this; and if we usually are not big fans of video surprises during wedding, this one was an hilarious one and we really had so much fun!

Although we always encourage our couples to do their first dance, but we actually didn’t do ours! We went to dance classes, learnt waltz, rumba… but it just really wasn’t for us! Instead of stressing over this, we really bet on our entrance at dinner. And it was such a blast! Our song was « Baby » by Bakermat, we had a live saxophonist who played over the song, we went between all tables, high fiving everyone, everybody was dancing, clapping, having fun, we were carried by the enthusiasm and kindness, these were 5 amazing minutes and set the festive tone for the night. To us, much better than an awkward first dance!

Most memorable moment: The ceremony, definitely! A true, sincere and unforgettable moment! Every word was meant, every moment was joyful. We’ve had 4 speakers during the ceremony, our 3 witnesses and Mylene’s mom, each of them read speeches they had written themselves; it was simply moving, fun and kind. We wrote our own vows and from perspective, that’s the best decision we’ve made about our ceremony. So yes, it takes time and it’s a bit more stressful than classic vows, but 100% worth it. Besides, we’re so happy that we bought Elmo Paperstories’ stylish velvet vows books, they’re the best way to make sure you keep your vows after the wedding day and you can read them anytime you feel like it.

The Perfect Parisian Elopement in Mauve and Neutral Tones

Sweet, sweet Paris. Doesn’t she just get lovelier as time goes on? That is precisely why Paris ranks as one of the top dream wedding locations for couples around the world and today, Sophie Kaye Photography and Jennifer Fox Weddings show us how it’s done! Pretty blush and mauve tones, one EPIC sheer Eisen Stein gown, and the most feminine, marvelous blooms by Floraison? Pretty much my elopement playground…

The delicate embellishments on the Eisen Stein gowns added the perfect amount of whimsy to this Parisian look. The deep-v trend is in high order for the 2019 bridal season and I was thrilled to see it styled so beautifully here…

Do I sound like a broken record? Because I’m going to say it again… my favorite color palette is this dusty rose/mauve color mixed with subtle blue tones. SO refreshing.

If you’re a bride-to-be and you think a smaller guest list means sacrificing style? Think again. Look at these straight up perfect details!

From Jennifer Fox WeddingsThe saying goes, “Paris is for lovers”. Couples from all over the world come to Paris to celebrate their love. However, the sentiment is not exclusive to only new couples. Vow renewals are becoming more and more popular as many couples wish to relive their wedding celebration in a city that signifies romance, art and above all things… Love.

Caroline and Olivier decided to mark the occasion of celebrating their 10 years of marriage with a romantic walk along the River Seine after they privately re exchanged their vows. An intimate dinner in a secret location surrounded by beautiful blooms followed and was topped off with cake and champagne! The inspiration behind the design of their celebration was where old world tradition meets romantic modernity. We wanted design elements that were not only beautiful but that told a story … Their story. We also chose materials with texture in order to represent the commitment, happy memories and love that their marriage has sustained.

Their dinner menu and other paperie was sketched on handmade paper to represent their first year of marriage, the traditional first anniversary gift. The silk ribbons that adorned the bouquet and the linen napkins and tablecloth that dressed the table were chosen to represent their 4th anniversary as husband as wife. Hand crafted ceramic dishes were chosen to represent their 9th year of marriage and were paired with vintage stemware and flatware. Even the cake had an ornate textural design. For her original wedding bouquet, the bride had bright pink blooms. Different hues of pink including more mature shades were chosen for this design in order to represent the couple’s modern romance while serving as a touching throwback to the couple’s wedding day.
