Rustic + Elegant Provencal Wedding Inspiration

If I were saying my I-do’s in the Provencal countryside, you bet I’d be calling up La Fabrique à Rêves in a heartbeat. Everything they touch turns to wedding gold, or in this case, a seamless blend of rustic elegance served with a side of irresistible florals from L’Art Qui Pousse. Head to the full gallery from L’artisan Photographe for more and catch the film from MG Image below!

From La Fabrique à RêvesThe talented Raphael from L’Artisan Photographe contacted us in September as was completely amazed by an olive grove full of perennial trees he had discovered. All inspired by the beauty of this outdoors, the quintessence of Provence, we designed something and decided to create a styled shoot.

The Sarah Seven gown gracefully provided by Olympe, was the perfect mix of elegance and romance. Blandine Fabre did her magic with the makeup which matched the amazing hairstyle by Carole from Les Mariés du Salon. Virginie Sellem – L’Art qui Pousse – took our breath away with the most amazing floral design. She used old roses, astilbe, dahlias, hydrangeas, grapes and figs. Phôs company who’s got a great variety of chandeliers and lanterns gave us the beautiful silver candlesticks that we used on the tables and some beautiful crystal balls hanging in the trees. For the art de la table provided by Côté Bastide in Aix-en-Provence, we chose a simple provencal style, chic and authentic for our long banquet table. DV Traiteur created several dishes, and we were blown away by the beauty and deliciousness of his creations.

We’ve had a great time planning everything and making this happen, not to mention the amazing vendors working with us, thinking of Toxan with his groom suit and our beautiful couple Alexandra & Arnaud. Very special thanks and acknowledgment go to L’Artisan Photographe for his remarkable talent capturing moments and to Gabriel Menassier from mg-image for his incredible video.

Elegant Wedding in France at Chateau La Durantie

This wedding is a dream. Honestly, every image Peaches & Mint sent over is so beautiful I could get lost in this gallery for days. And I might do just that. Because, in my opinion, it doesn’t get prettier than a classic yet chic French countryside affair in a picture perfect chateau, and I’ll think you’ll agree when you join me in gushing over all the pretty here.

Anna, who’s Russian & Vladan, who is Serbian individually moved to Vienna as children, coincidentally both at the age of seven. Although they had similar circles of friends and for a while even went to school in the same street, life had some time on the road for them planned, before they should finally meet. So Anna went to work in New York after finishing her studies and Vladan was living in London when they both came home to Vienna for a visit to see family & friends. They met aged 24 at a cocktail party of a mutual friend (who later of course became one of her stunning bridesmaids) and made the long distance work until they decided to move back to Vienna and tie the knot. For their weekend long wedding celebration they invited friends and family to join them at La Durantie, a magical french chateau that has been refurbished and maintained with a tremendous love for details. Original pieces & varying decor in every room, it allowed the couple & their guests to be taken in by the French atmosphere & scenery at once! Details: The Location: Chateau La Durantie is a true gem, since it has been refurbished and maintained with such care. It is a dream come true wedding location a few hours away from Paris and sold out years ahead. Vodka & Rakia on the tables: With Anna being from Moskow and Vladan from Belgrad they thought it was a nice idea to put both national drinks on the table for shots. The Flower girls & boys: Are all nieces and nephews of Anna, who came all the way from Russia. Flower girls head wreaths: Stunning head wreaths for all the girls, made such a nice pop of color! Flowers: Florals were done by Lisa Gatenby (French Flower Style), originally from England but moved to France and works her magic with flowers there now The Family Picture: Anna & Vladan planned time during their day to do family formals in the location. Anna changed her dress for this occasion, so the family pictures wouldn’t just reflect their wedding as an event, but their families uniting. The Stationery from Herz & Co (www.herzundco.com): Stunning and bespoke designed letterpress stationery, with printed fans, coasters (for wine bottle giveaways) and invitations with a bespoke design for their french wedding affair. (It’s a bit my weak spot, but I could photograph them again by end of next week and style it nicer – unfortunately there was no stylist at the wedding and I just lacked the time.. But the letterpress company is here in Vienna and I know they would happily give me the pieces again to shoot them!) Giveaways for bridesmaids: Tiffany bracelets Her Headpiece: “Something borrowed” from one of the bridesmaids. Originally purchased at a small accessory store in Vienna. Dower: He got a Montblanc pen and she got a ring from Cartier The groom: Wore an antique Patek Philipp watch, which was a gift from Anna’s father, cufflinks from Lanvin and a suit from Dolce&Gabanna. His bow tie was from Brioni. Rehearsal Dinner: Beautifully set in front of the castle, with Catering by La Durantie. (Sending you another link for that & a few more pictures you might find useful: Wedding Music: An accordonist & an acoustic band took care of french atmosphere!

Lush, Organic Destination Wedding in Provence

Greg Finck wedding never disappoints, but when you add the floral talents of Laetitia C. to the equation? You, my dear, have got Provence nuptial perfection right at your fingertips. Designed with a natural, beautifully organic aesthetic, it’s a day that plays off its South of France setting and the results are a destination wedding done so, so right.

From Greg Finck PhotographyLe Mas de la Rose is a hidden gem in the heart of Provence, surrounded by olive groves and lavender fields. That is in that elegant though intimate typical Provence venue that Fabienne and Carlo had decided to tie the knot. Fabienne is from Switzerland and Carlo from the US, but they had decided to organize a destination wedding by themselves in the South of France. To delight their guests and enjoy the Provence easy lifestyle.

Stationery had been designed by the groom’s brother, and were in a variation of green and grey, which has been the color palette during the whole day. Laetitia C., who is now a friend, has once more done her magic on floral design. Fantastic flowers arrangements were everywhere, from the ceremony to the reception, and were all beautifully designed in a soft green color palette. The bouquets were elegant but not too strict, to reflect the organic and natural side of the region.

The ceremony has probably been one of the most emotional I’ve had the occasion to live this year. The officiant was one of the groom’s best friend and it was difficult not to drop a tear when Fabienne and Carlo exchanged their vows, in the presence of Max, Carlo’s son.

The cocktail was yummy with typical Provence food, including ‘tapenade’ (black olive paste) and regional vegetables, as Le Mas de la Rose grows its own vegetables in the garden. Dinner was similar with amazing organic Provence food and fine wine. The party last until the end of the night, when the bride and groom surprised their guests with an ice cream cart.

Organic Elegant Paris Wedding Inspiration

For far too long Paris has lived on my ‘wanderlist’, and today I’ve gone off the deep end with this utterly romantic shoot from Le Secret D’Audrey and Wedding Paris. The organic arrangements from Lily Paloma complement the Inbal Dror dress, while the dreamy white setting, with it’s lengthy drapes, candlelight and herringbone floors encompass elegance galore. Join me in the gallery for more.

From Wedding Paris… When I proposed Audrey about organizing a styled shoot, I did not have a precise idea of which side of the parisian wedding I wanted to show. But when she gave the idea of shooting in a typical Parisian apartment all white with mouldings, it became an evidence that we wanted the result to be “simple” but oh so elegant and romantic!

Because Paris IS elegance. Because Paris is Romance. Getting married in Paris does not need too many artifices because this city brings you straightforward to the point that it is enough for itself. That was exactly the point of the shoot.

Lovers having dinner in a Parisian architectural apartment with a delightful fireplace like we can only find in France, tones of silver and white and an amazing light captivated by Audrey.

For the flowers, we wanted something organic and fresh with light tones surrounded by the heat of candlelights. Lily Paloma used wonderful buttercups, anemones and roses. Not to mention the amazing Inbal Dror dress all embroidered of white and silver that fitted so nicely in the atmosphere. The silver bolded stationeries seemed to be the continuity of the crockery.

Whimsical French Chateau Wedding

This wedding, m’dears, is a celebration. One that is filled with 15 years worth of love, two beautiful babies and one gorgeous french chateau. Graced with Quelque Chose De Bleu touches and captured by Coralie Photography, it’s a love story that’ll steal your heart, so scroll on for each and every beautiful moment below!

[iframe http://player.vimeo.com/video/114431230 600 338]

From the beautiful Bride… After more than 15 years together and two children, we decided not to live anymore in sin and to introduce spirituality in our couple.

My dear mother-in-law is at the origin of this decision. I would never thank her enough for her help and support in the organization of the d-day. Besides welcoming us in her wonderful castle, she makes a fantastic wedding planner!

Feeling at home, we enjoyed the place during several days. Our friends and families arrived on thursday (the wedding was on saturday) and the last ones leaved the castle on Monday. We had time with everyone!

The success of our wedding is due to the implication of many of our friends and our moms. I just love DIY, so I wanted to realize most of the supplies, the handkerchiefs, the dragées, the church’s notebook for guests, the little welcoming word in the guest’s rooms… And of course for the decoration. I blew my wishes to Véronique (quelque chose de bleu) which took care of the scenography.

As I have a sense of detail and aesthetic considerations, i wished those moments of happiness and share to be catched by professionals. ( Coralie Photography & RecordYou). I had a couple for that! GREAT! It was the same for music, a couple (The Mellow)! Isn’t it romantic?

I really want to thank our families, friends and moms. And more especially Sylvie, Christelle, Laura and Charlotte for their small precious hands, my BFF Mimie and Maé, and of course, everyone involved for their warmth and their patience!

Surprise French Riviera Vow Renewal

What better way to end National Proposal Day than on a high note with this ultra romantic vow renewal. As a wedding planner herself, this Mrs. wanted to show her love how much he means to her, gathering the talents of D’amour et de Deco and Nice Plume Calligraphies for a seaside ceremony. Ingrid Lepan captured the moment and these pics have me guaranteed to enter the weekend in a really great mood.

From the beautiful Mrs… As a wedding planner, I’ve always daydreamed about what my wedding would be like if I did it all again. Not only the flowers and the decor, but how much more I would share with Ryan; the things I would tell him and the promises I would make. I had absolutely no clue what I was getting into on my wedding day and what a crazy beautiful adventure our marriage would turn out to be. Over the last four years, when life has happened, Ryan has stepped up in such big ways. My love and respect has grown so much for him every single day. I’ve never really been able to put into words exactly how much he means to me.

When we started planning a trip to the French Riviera, I knew this was the perfect moment I had been waiting for to renew our vows. I reached out to Ingrid Lepan Photographe, and she helped me secure the most amazing team of vendors to pull off this surprise. This team from Southern France created something even more beautiful than I’d ever envisioned.

Complete with a gorgeous tablescape with florals in scarlet and berry shades, elegant calligraphy, hand drawn paper designs, and a beautiful to-die-for regional dessert, I fell in love with it all. The tart tropezienne is a local pastry signature to the area we visited, Saint Tropez. This team of French wedding vendors designed every little detail to be completely stunning; a tiny woven braid cascading from my bouquet, a bowl of the freshest local berries, the most beautiful and creative photographic angles. We stood on the beach and took in the breathtaking view – snow covered Alps and the gorgeous French hillside. So many tears were shed as we shared the same vows from our wedding day along with a few additional words by me. It was a day we will always be thankful for and could never forget – a moment far better than any of my daydreams.

Surprise Paris Proposal

I’m still struggling to wrap my mind around how amazing this whole situation is. Not only did this lucky lady get one gorgeous sparkler placed on her ring finger, but she got a whirlwind trip to Paris on the side. And to ensure that not a moment would be forgotten, Catherine O’Hara trailed along and captured every fantastic French moment. Even on National Proposal Day, I’m not sure if anything beats this.

From the Bride… What was supposed to be a weekend trip just outside of San Diego, California turned into the most romantic trip of my lifetime.

Cole, my boyfriend of six years, told me to pack my bags for a short weekend trip. Next thing I knew, we were in the airport terminal and he already had my passport. I had no idea where we were jetting off to since I had a grad school event in two days, but when I put on my “Oui, Mon Cherie” (French for “Yes my dear”) sweatshirt and Cole laughed, I knew we were headed to my dream destination: Paris! I was overjoyed! I had never been to Europe before and I could finally put all those French courses to good use in the most romantic city in the world.

Cole isn’t always a planner, so I was shocked when he had this secret going. With the help of my two best friends, Cole planned the whirlwind trip. The next big surprise was when we headed off to one of Cole’s favorite spots, Sacré-Cœur. We had been sleeping off jet lag when he suddenly declared we had to get to Montmartre. We hopped in a cab and were on our way. As we weaved in and out of the summer crowds around the magnificent mountain top church, I could feel Cole rummaging through his pockets. The rest was a blur! I don’t love being the center of attention, so when he got down on one knee, I quickly and excitedly said, “YES! Now get up! GET UP!” He had planned so well, that there was a secret photographer to capture the moment. We then gallivanted throughout Paris as a happy freshly engaged couple, with photographer Catherine O’Hara poetically documenting our new bliss!

Truly a “Oui, Mon Cherie” moment!

Romantic Chateau De La Napoule Wedding

Lavender & Rose sure knows how to get our hearts a beating ’round these parts. They’ve been stunning us with their magnifique weddings lately, and this one? Well, it’s a doozy darlings. Photographed to utter perfection by Xavier Navarro, you can drool over this pristine bun, that lacy dress and this dreamy setting, all right here.

From Lavender & RoseFrom the moment we met this sweet couple, we were really made to feel like part of the family. After visiting a handful of venues on the French Riviera & Provence, their heart skipped a beat when they set foot into the Chateau de la Napoule. The only true Chateau in the area located right on the water’s edge, the Chateau de la Napoule is steeped in history. Everywhere you look, the venue tells a romantic tale of two lovers, two creative souls, in a world of fantasy and mystery. Previously owned by Henry & Mary Clews, two bohemian artists from an American aristocratic background, the venue contains the full collection of art and sculptures produced by H&C Clews during their residency at the Chateau de la Napoule. The words « Once Upon A Time » above the door leading from the courtyard to the interior of the Chateau adds to the story book magic of the place.

The celebrations began with a ceremony in the majestic alley lined by shaded gardens. The couple were wed in front of a luscious wall of white roses, hydrangeas and gypsophila. The groomsmen & groom entered first holding two new members of the family; a gorgeous little baby boy and girl. Accompanied by the beautiful voice of soulful song bird Lizzy Parks, the bride entered with her father creating a moment full of emotion.

A drinks and canapé reception followed in the gardens overlooking the coast. French specialists such as snails, “Foie Gras” and frogs legs were served with Champagne and strawberry daiquiri. Guests were given a personalised Panama hat to shade from the Riviera sun.

Dinner was revealed in the courtyard, an extremely romantic setting with hanging decoration, festoon lights and soft amber coloured up-lights. Nestled under a sycamore tree, the top table was adorned with a garland of peonies, gypsophila, David Austin roses and spray roses and handing candles and flowers were suspended from the tree’s branches overhead. Guests dined on parmesan risotto beautifully served on top of a porcelain dome lit with a candle from underneath. Between courses, an acoustic party band went from table to table building the party atmosphere. Guests enjoyed a photo booth with floral backdrop and fun props. A veal main course with truffle flavoured potatoes followed and the meal ended with a dessert buffet adorned with cristal hanging chandeliers. The square, three tier cake topped with little love birds was cut and the groom lifted the bride up high in the air in a moment of passion.

Guests danced into the early hours in the gothic dining room to the carefully chosen beats of our wonderful DJ Thomas Dusseune while flair barmen mixed delicious cocktails.

Romantic Summer Chateau Wedding

French chateaus are a pot of gold, a treasure chest of possibilities for weddings. Already possessing an insane amount of elegance and romance, they transform a celebration into something extra special, and this multi-cultural summer soiree is a perfect example. Weday’s planned the beautiful bash and Groovy Baby got it all on camera; check out this gallery by French Grey Photography and dream away.

From Weday’s… A lovely half French, half Hong Kong wedding, which took place in a Bordeaux chateau. Everything took place at the chateau, from the preparation of the couple in the suites of this 12th century castle (Chateau de la Ligne in Lignan de Bordeaux) to the beautiful evening itself, including a romantic civil ceremony in the park overlooking the vineyards and a cocktail accompanied by live jazz musicians.

Heather and Adrien’s vows:

“On this day, Adrien, I take you to be my best friend. My wonderful partner, and my one true love. I promise you to encourage you, to support you and to stand by your side whenever you need me. And to inspire you and to love you truly, through good times and bad times. I will forever be there to laugh with you, to lift you up when you are down and to grow along with you and to love you unconditionally through all our adventures in life together. I love you.”

“Heather, j’ai trouvé en toi ma meilleure amie, ma plus grande fierté, ma plus grande joie, aujourd’hui, je peux le dire assez sereinement, tu es l’amour de ma vie. Je t’aime.”

Romantic Paris Summer Wedding

Paris weddings whisk me away to a whole other world, one that is overflowing with blush and gold, where the Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe appear in the background of all photos. This lucky couple said their vows in this magically chic place with a celebration planned by Fete in France, captured by BKT Films. It’s time to pop some champagne, dive into K Hulett’s photos and prepare to fall in love.

[iframe http://player.vimeo.com/video/107223546 600 338]

From Fête in France… Mary & Jason are a Brooklyn, NY based couple. Jason’s family is based in Paris and Mary’s family had spent time in Paris during her childhood. It was Paris where they first met, and though it was elsewhere and a while later before they got together, they couldn’t think of anywhere more perfect than Paris to get married.

Mary and Jason’s wedding was one of the most fabulous weddings we’ve had the pleasure of organizing. The event was filled with elegance and class, with elements of fun and amusement mixed in. The day was filled with surprises from bagpipers, to vintage Citroen cars, custom cocktails, and a light up dance floor for an amazing party atmosphere.

The couple had an elegant ceremony held at the American Church in Paris. At the end of the ceremony the bride and groom were led down the aisle by bagpipers – a surprise for everyone including the newlyweds and a nod to the groom’s Scottish heritage. Following the ceremony the couple was whisked away in a vintage Citroen Traction and the wedding party was picked up in colorful convoy of vintage Citroen 2CV cars – to top it off the drivers donned berets and striped “marinière” shirts. The parade of cars took the bridal party to the Eiffel Tower for group shots and then the bride and groom set off for their own personal shoot. Beautiful shots overlooking all of Paris were taken from the panoramic terrace of the Hotel Raphael and after pictures around the city the couple met their guests at the Salons France-Amériques for champagne and a menu of signature cocktails expertly crafted by mixologists from Paris’ hippest bar. Dinner was held in gorgeous salons overflowing with white and pink flowers. Each guest had a hand crafted paper Eiffel Tower filled with chocolates at their place setting. Following dinner everyone headed downstairs into the converted Turkish bath which was transformed into a nightclub for the event. The band led Mary and Jason in with Frank Sinatra’s “New York, New York” and the DJ quickly transitioned to start the party with Jay-z’s “Empire State of Mind.” The DJ had guests dancing well into the night on a colorful light up dance floor that brought the party atmosphere to the next level!

Elegant Winter Paris Elopement

This elopement has me wrapped around it’s little finger… Paris, the shoes, the ah-mazing Lazaro dress, the Bride’s darling curls by Sanni Sorma and the way these two gaze at each other—perfect, no? Fete In France killed it with their spectacular planning skills, while Le Secret D’Audrey caught every moment so beautifully as she does. This gallery was meant for lovers.

From the Bride… Christmas was not always a happy time in my life – my mother passed away days before Christmas in 2005 & I found the time surrounding the holidays very difficult, I really wanted to change the way I felt & create a happy memory so a Christmas wedding it was. After becoming engaged in New Zealand I began to lay plans for our wedding. During an early morning snow boarding run on the mountain I found a small charm in the snow – an Eiffel tower, all the inspiration I needed.

Paris seemed impossible at first, however we were helped throughout by our Wedding planner, Fete in France – a not so difficult task with the aid of technology. Nancy shaped our special day with elegance and class I am forever grateful for the finishing touches she applied.

Our Catholic mass & ceremony was everything we had hoped; we were married by Father McCarthy at the La Madeleine Paris Church. The Organist played my Grand parents favourite hymn on the grand organ; hearing it echoing throughout the 150 metre Church is something we will never forget.

I wore a Lazaro bridal gown and the groom wore Joe Black, shoes by Emmy London & rings by Ellissi, Australia. Our photos by Audrey captured the essence of our perfect day & remain precious reminders of the day that we continually relive & especially cherish.

From the Fete In FranceWe love planning elopements and it was such a treat to work with Sarah and Bayden. Sarah had a very precise idea of what she wanted for her day including finding a setting for photos which could rival the Château de Versailles Hall of Mirrors! The entire day came together perfectly – gorgeous weather, a touching ceremony, a skilled private chef, a charming sweetheart table with opulent decor and of course, a ruffly wedding cake. A big thank you to Le Secret d’Audrey for capturing the day so beautifully. It was an immense pleasure to orchestrate all of the elements and then see how happy the couple was on the day!

Romantic Elopement in Paris

What happens when two madly in love sweethearts throw caution to the wind and elope in the City of Lights? I’ll tell you – magic. In the most romantic of settings, the gallery captured by Le Secret D’Audrey only confirms that it doesn’t get any better than Paris. Because when you pair a ridiculously photogenic couple and a beautiful garden beautiful things are bound to happen and it’s all right here.

From the beautiful Bride… We decided to forgo a planner and planned the wedding all on our own in a short period of time. Being in the wedding industry, we know some weddings can take a lot of stress, effort and time which we didn’t have but generally are people who like to keep things fuss-free. Planning from the other side of the world meant relying on the good ol’ internet and a few international calls and Skype timed just right. It also meant we wouldn’t see anything tangible until the day of the wedding. There were no cake tastings, only tasty descriptions from the baker, no hair or makeup trials (which was probably the only thing that made me a bit nervous), only Pinterest boards, and most importantly, we had no idea where to get married because we had no idea what existed within this possibly fictional place we’ve only seen in movies called Paris. But we did as much as we could by putting our efforts into the details such as the flowers, props, our getting ready apartment, and some items that I made including the wedding invitations and vow books. And we made sure to invest most in our photography and videography as we knew it would be the only thing we would have to look back on this once in a lifetime moment.

Although this could be a bit nerve racking, it was actually fun to see everything come together on the big day. We knew to keep our expectations low as anything could happen especially in a place we’d never been. And ultimately the most important thing was that we were in this amazing place together to get married. We had a simple celebration with close friends and family the week prior and after much packing we were off. After an eleven hour flight across the globe with our wedding dress and suit in our carry-on, we finally arrived for the first time ever in Europe! We spent some time wandering around a few places we had in mind during our time in Paris and knew when we found the spot and decided to risk being kicked out by security guards. And a couple days before our wedding day, we found our ceremony venue.

The wedding day predicted rain so we prepared for the worst by picking up an umbrella the day before. Although the weather seemed to be on our side that morning, when Jin ran out to pick up some breakfast he was unfortunately pick pocketed in the grocery store. It was really a bummer that we were a target especially on our wedding day but didn’t let it ruin our day. The getting ready portion of our day in our little Parisian apartment was full of energy and excitement and it was nice to be pampered by getting my hair and makeup done for the first time. We also loved getting ready together, Jin steaming my dress and me helping Jin put on his bow tie. Once the makeup artist was finished, Jin left the room as I put on my wedding dress. We saw each other for the first time in our wedding attire during our first look and it was such a priceless, special moment we will never forget. We had our cake cutting, toast, and gift exchange before heading out to make it official!

The ceremony was one of the most emotional moments of the day as we both couldn’t hold back tears as we tightly held hands and recited our vows to one another. Jin had written the most beautiful vows and I couldn’t help but cry like a baby. Here we were standing in this beautiful garden in Paris about to become husband and wife and that’s when it sunk in. We really made it happen. Our dream wedding became a reality.

We spent the rest of our day around Paris taking our wedding photos as husband and wife. And as soon as the ceremony was over the rain started to come down during our photos but it only added to our wedding story. How could you be anything but happy in this place having just married the love of your life. After our special dinner, we ended the evening with a first dance as husband and wife in our apartment to a very emotional song. Clinging to one another tightly, we had never cried so many tears of joy together.

Stylish, Intimate Wedding in Paris

I’m going to go right out and say it, this wedding is my dream. Intimate, beyond stylish, filled with romance and oh, did I mention it was in Paris? Because that is just the icing on this very pretty cake. Beautifully captured by Skiss Agence Photo Paris and planned by Wedding Paris, this wedding will dance around in my dreams for days.

From The Bride…Opting for a small intimate wedding in Paris, our favorite city in the world, was the best decision we’ve ever made. We were able to turn what is typically a 1 day affair into a week full of lasting memories for us and our families. From having the girls makeup done at our loft in Saint Germain, to taking pictures with our families at the Eiffel Tower, and ending with romantic shots in Montmartre, it was surreal.

Everything from the minute we arrived to the breathtaking venue until we left with our glasses full of champagne was magical and memorable. To give our full attention to each other and our 8 family members was more enjoyable than any large wedding could have ever been. To be able to share this with those that mean the most to us and the amazing city of Paris is something we will be forever grateful for.

From Agathe at Wedding ParisI always knew Stacy would be a special bride. She wasn’t classical and had her own style that she wanted to show in her wedding. That is why we thought about touches of black (ideal for a winter wedding) and anemones and went to the streets and art galleries of Montmartre for the shooting!

We loved to be able to put a black lace table runner that contrasted with the classical and gorgeous style of the venue. The crystal chandeliers with gold candles reflected all the mercury votives lights and gave the room an enchanted atmosphere. Even after having put all the decorations, when we opened the room door, we were stunned by all these elements that combined so well.

Romantic Beach Shoot in the South Of France

Every little thing about this shoot is a dream to me. Honestly, if I could bottle all the details styled by Sandrine Pesante and Jacques Dessange I would in a heartbeat. Luckily for all of us, Ian Holmes captured this absolutely perfect shoot in a way that makes my heart sing, and you can get lost in all that lovely here.

From Ian HolmesAn elegant, wedding inspired shoot on the beach within a very natural setting. We created a romantic, cozy and natural scene on a hidden beach surrounded by cliffs. It was important to keep a harmony between the feel & look of the wedding inspired theme and the stunning, wild landscape.

Staying away from sophisticated decoration, fancy dresses or hair style, opting instead for something naturally elegant and beautiful. The natural feel was achieved by using simple materials like wood, linen, raffia, shell, as well as natural make-up, white flowers of the centerpieces, the dress, the choice of table setting and of course the natural beauty of our model Fanny.

We created a relaxed and romantic space with pillows as a seating area, an intimate table setting with a wooden table and the sunset overlooking the sea.

With sensibility in the poses, the stunning raw landscape and the natural tones of the table decoration complimented perfectly the overall feel of the photoshoot.

Rustic Charm in the South of France

Set in the South of France, this darling little wedding has earned a spot in my heart forever. From the venue with it’s sweet mint shutters and potted greens to the cute-as-ever flower girl to the enchanting ceremony complete with a giant chandelier, La Fabrique à Rêves and Greg Finck Photography have delivered a gallery filled with a simple kind of beauty that’ll keep you coming back for more.

From La Fabrique a RevesWe are delighted to share this beautiful South of France wedding with you! A 3 day event with such an adorable couple. Taken by the gorgeous scenery and surroundings, this couple opted for a stylish but rustic destination wedding in south of France. Le Mas des Comtes de Provence is a XV centuries property with charming old stones, beautifully restored and turned into an idyllic wedding venue in the heart of Provence. At the gates of the Alpilles, Les Baux de Provence or Saint Remy de Provence, this is a remarkable place, ideally located.

After a beautiful and moving ceremony under a glamorous big chandelier hung by a gigantic pine in the centre of the garden, the guests were treated to a cocktail hour in the courtyard of a typical provencal mansion.

We used a palette of pastel color with old rose, hydrangeas and olive gorgeously fitting the setting of the historic mansion where the reception was held. The gypsophila flower garland from the ceremony and all the amazing flowers were perfectly done by our beloved florist Virginie from L’Art qui pousse.

The dinner was held next to the swimming pool where the famous caterer La Truffe Noire served a lobster salad with citrus vinaigrette, followed by a roast duck breast with honey and figs from Provence, that all guests have worshiped.

There are so many things we loved about this wedding and we are so happy that Greg Finck, photographer and MG Image, video artist, were able to offer us fantastic images of that day.

A big thank you to Thaïs & Patrick who have entrusted us with organising and managing this important day and with whom we had a lot of fun throughout the preparations. They form a very close unit and pretty family with their adorable daughter and we wish them nothing but happiness.

Romantic French Wedding at Chateau de Brognon

This, loves, is what perfection looks like.  It’s a wedding that is soft and sweet, sophisticated and elegant and fills every last moment with some of the prettiest details you will ever see.  From the beautiful blooms from Ca Sent Beau to the jaw-droppingly gorgeous images from Sophie Marie Photo to the classically beautiful gown designed by Jesus Peiro.  Click here for sooooo much more.

From Sophie Marie Photo… Like all things French, this wedding was romantic and delicious, with that je ne sais quoi casual elegance that comes so easy to the francophones. The bride and groom reserved the Chateau de Brognon in a small village just a few kilometers outside of Dijon, to host their guests for a luxurious weekend of relaxation and celebration. Festivities included an endless parade of hors d’oeurves, a flash mob surprise dance performance for the bride and groom during the cocktail hour(s), and elegant ballroom dining. The vases used for the center pieces were all from the bride’s grandmother’s antique collection.

Rustic Summer Wedding in the South of France

I think I’ve discovered my happy place thanks to these gorgeous photos by Anne-Claire Brun. She captured this rustic, romantic wedding, held at Domaine de Blanche Fleur in the south of France, where Les Mignonneries, the Bride’s own company, shined bright, designing and planning every detail to a tee. From the adorable babe to the colorful streamers, I won’t be leaving here anytime soon.

From Anne-Claire BrunCéline and Jérémie got married at the Domaine de Blanche Fleur in the South of France. I was so happy to get to shoot their wonderful and delicately crafted wedding! The Bride and Groom are the sweetest couple and they are so in love that you can feel it in the air around them!

Céline and Jérémie, it’s a story that starts in Paris. That’s where I met them for the first time, to shoot their maternity session in June 2013. And then again in August 2013 to shoot their newborn baby Romane. So, of course, when they contacted me a third time to shoot their wedding, I was on a cloud. See, when you shoot weddings you kinda get attached to people and it sucks when you never see them again. Working with the same couples, seeing them getting pregnant, with a baby, then married – not necessarily in this order :) – it’s extraordinary.

So I was already happy to shoot their wedding and I wasn’t even there yet.

When I arrived, Céline hugged me and started crying (so did I, what can I say!) She said that seeing me made her realize that this was it, she was going to get married. And all day long, I’ve been overwhelmed. Céline and Jérémie are (overly) sensitive (like me) and the speeches of their families and friends touched me.

But I think that what really struck me was the way those two looked at each other. I’ve seen many couples, but looks like that….

When I made it back to the hotel that night, it must have been around 4am but I needed to write them. Being a photographer, it’s a thousand things all at once: emails that will lead (or not) to booking a date, meetings, first photo shoots, learning how to use a camera or some retouching programs like Photoshop, managing emails, deposits, taxes, creating business (and in two countries I might add!), managing your time, your money (because some years are better than others). And some weddings are also better than others. Not because of the amount of money involved but because of the atmosphere, families, relationships, stories…. And some weddings are simply not “made” for you, we aren’t on the same level as the couple or guests are rude.

Sometimes, making the “dream” happen (= living from your passion) becomes a job. A job from which it’s hard to get away, especially when you work from home. So sometimes, things aren’t all pink: frustrations, wondering if the couple liked their photos (because if they don’t say anything, we, the photographers, panic a little!), not having enough business and comparing yourself with all the other photographers out there, and so it happens that the question pops up: “Why am I doing this?”

When I shot Céline and Jérémie’s wedding, I got my answer.

Their wedding was perfect to me. Their friendships, the kind, funny words of their guests, the stories, the look on everyone’s face, their smiles… All those emotions and moments during the day brought back my desire and passion. The will to work harder, not having weekends, spending all my time on my laptop. The will to give the best of me, to manage better and more important, to capture better days like this. This wedding was all that I love: the venue and settings and decoration, their oh-so-impressive choreography, the (French) meal…. absolutely everything.

The best weddings are those where you feel like a guest, a friend or a family member rather than a vendor. And this wedding was like this. I’m a witness of love and theirs is one of my favorite. I wish them to keep doing whatever they are doing because it seems to be the way to go :)

From the Bride… Jérémie and I met on our workplace and after working for over a year side by side, we fell in love. We haven’t left each other since then.

He had planned to do the proposal at home the evening of our anniversary… but with a 5-months-old girl, it wasn’t easy to organize things discreetly and I felt it coming … so I screwed up! He did it again a week later, roses everywhere in the living room, a candlelight dinner and the ring on the plate instead of dessert!

During the organization of the wedding, Jérémie was serene, me, a little less! But we did see things the same way so that helped. The hardest part was to prepare the dance for the bridal party and our entrance. That took a lot of time but the result was beyond our expectations!

Like many brides and grooms we spent hours on wedding blogs and Pinterest to get inspired and figure out what we wanted. We wanted something pretty simple, rustic, fun and a touch of vintage. The rest of the decoration process was inspired by the venue. It was important to us to respect the soul of Blanche Fleur with soft colors and natural elements. I actually had so much fun with organizing, creating and decorating than I opened my own event company (Les Mignonneries – http://lesmignonneries.com/)!

Our favorite moment of the day was the ceremony itself. It was crazy! Our friends who were in charge of “animating” the ceremony did a fantastic job! It was a rush of intense emotions: love, laughs and tears! We couldn’t have dreamt of a better one!
Oh and also that bridal entrance that took us so long to set up. The dance went really well and everybody was hysterical!
It was definitely one of the happiest days of our lives.

If I had any advice to give, it would be this: do what you want to do but do it together, not just the bride. And don’t hesitate to talk to your bridal party, involve them and ask for their help.

And the most important: have a wedding that is you. Have 1000 details if you like it or get married in jeans if that’s who you are!

Romantic Parisian Destination Wedding

To say this wedding is something out of a fairy tale is to put it lightly. From pre-ceremony photos all over Paris, to a reception aboard a private boat by the Eiffel Tower, dreams don’t get much better than this. One & Only Photography and Le Secret D’Audrey captured every breathtaking moment that Fete in France created, and as we wrap up this Monday, I can think of no place I’d rather be than right here.

From Fête In France… Jasmina & Maurice came to Fete in France from Switzerland to plan their intimate Parisian wedding. The couple selected the gorgeous and glamorous Shangri-La in Paris to host both their ceremony and dinner reception.

The hotel benefits from a location near the Eiffel Tower and many of the suites have a lovely view on this iconic monument. Jasmina had a suite with a view for her hair and makeup preparation.

The couple decided to do their photos before the ceremony around the city with the very talented One & Only Paris Photography. After a sweet first look they were whisked away in a vintage white Rolls Royce for photos around the city. After the shoot the couple met back up with their bridal party at the Shangri La for the ceremony. The ceremony was held in one of the historic private salons of the hotel which features high ceilings, fireplace, beautiful hardwood floors and lots of gilding. The couple, being multilingual, chose to incorporate French, German and English into their ceremony. The bride carried a bouquet of pink peonies and white garden roses. When the ceremony was finished guests showered the couple in rose petals as they headed to their cocktail hour.

The champagne cocktail hour was held on the terrace with spectacular views of the Eiffel Tower. After cocktail hour everyone headed into the Grand Salon for dinner at one long table which was filled with pink, peach and white flowers, which accented the soft gold in the room perfectly. For dinner they had a traditional French meal and the couple was toasted by close friends and family. Each guest was treated to a box of Laduree macarons at their seat. After dinner the couple cut the three-tiered cake and headed out for dancing and cocktails on their private boat. As they left the Shangri La guests held confetti guns which showered the couple in gold colored confetti as they headed to the boat. They then embarked on a moonlit cruise of the Seine where the couple shared their first dance and enjoyed cocktails with guests. They enjoyed a two hour cruise while dancing to a DJ as the monuments of Paris sailed by.

Gastronomic Provencal Wedding at Auberge La Feniere

Give me a food-centric wedding and you’ll have one happy wedding blogger on your hands. Set said wedding right in the middle of the breathtaking Provence countryside, sprinkled with the prettiest blooms from Fleurs d’Atelier and one serious stunning Bride at the center of it? And it’s all over. Beautifully captured by M&J Photography, you can peruse every bit right here.

From the beautiful Bride…I know every single person says it and it’s is cliche, but really, it’s the truth: our wedding day was the best day of my life. There, I said it. I am definitely not one of those girls who started planning my wedding from the time I was a little girl, so when the time came to start planning ours, I was a little overwhelmed with all the small details we has to wade through. We always knew our wedding would be in france and we quickly realized around 70% of our guest list would be international, with people coming from as far as New Zealand, Indonesia, Japan, Ghana and Fiji.

Being an artist and a designer myself, I knew I would inevitably end up planning the wedding and creating all the paper goods and stationery. I was able to do this with the help of my friend (and generally awesome human) Joy Proctor. This was something I really enjoyed because from the save the dates to the invitations or the welcome books, I felt I had the ability to do small things that really represented us as a couple. We love adventure, we’ve traveled across the world together and we come from 2 very distinct cultures. Instead of a traditional guest book, I created postcards with drawings of women that represented the places in the world we traveled together. Our guests were able to choose a postcard they liked, or had something to do with how they met us.

Arnaud and I dislike being the center of attention, so we really shied away from anything that would make our wedding feel formal in any way. The goal was to make the day feel like a big reunion of friends and family who had either never met, or not seen each other in many years. He and I would just be hanging out in a big white dress and a tux because all our other clothes were dirty that day. When we found the Auberge La Feniere, we knew it was exactly what we had been looking for. A location that felt authentic, incredibly beautiful without feeling stuffy, surrounded by nature, michelin star chef and run by a group of people who, at the end of the day, felt more like family than vendors. We knew our family and friends would love it as much as we did and we became really excited to share this with them. A lot of our wedding was DIY and we were so grateful for all the family and friends that really helped make this happen. We had a lot of nights spent at home with cuttings boards, wine and friends helping to assemble the wedding programs, gift boxes for guests, menus, name cards and anything else we needed.

In terms of the actual day, we had a really beautiful (short) ceremony where I think he was compared to a pig, and I was compared to a truffle. It was an incredible feeling to be surrounded by so many people we love, and to recognize every single face I saw. It felt so intimate and special. We ate and danced with friends, had a really lovely dinner in the middle of the olive trees, enjoyed so much laughter and wonderful food then danced some more until the sun came up.

Romantic Chateau Wedding in Provence

You know that when it comes to France, I’m obsessed on all levels. So, it’s no surprise that this stunning Chateau Des Barrenques affair from Gert Huygaerts Photography and Iris Decreus has got me in a Pinterest frenzy. Complete with lavender field kisses, freshly picked Il était Une Fleur  bouquets, and a balloon accented aisle, every detail from this gallery is daydream worthy.

From Gert Huygaerts PhotographyDeborah and Frederik met for the first time at work. Deborah office closed down and she was transferred to Frederik’s office… getting a desk right in front of him… from that moment on, they both knew there was more than work and friendship!

On a weekend at the seaside, after a few very heavy weeks at work, Frederik arranged breakfast in bed… together with an adorable engagement ring in the silver butter boat!

The lovely couple was on a holiday in Provence last year and once in a sudden there was the idea “why don’t we get married here?” The peace & quiet of the area, the lovely nature, the beautiful weather all was there to make it really the day of their lives!

Their friends, family, the lovely details and the adorable chateau made the party complete… a day to never forget! The ceremony also was important to Deborah & Frederik, because it made it possible to think back on their love for each other, together with their best friends and family.
