Modern Vineyard Wedding in Ontario II

Sent to us by Karri North Photography, this wedding is just as sweet as the bride's beautiful smile. Love the crisp modern feel and the bright pops of yellow that just jump up and say "it's happy day". The bride, Rena, works in advertising so she knew exactly how to pull together a completely inviting event full of chic little details and stylish charm.

From the gorgeous bride, Rena...

The theme was Eat...

Engagement Shoots From Julie Afflerbaugh Photography

If you read a little bit about Julie Afflerbaugh, you'll know that she describes her style as artistic and spontaneous. She goes on to say, "The energy in my photographs comes from the relationship I build with my clients. Because we have fun and grow comfortable with each other, the photographs are more natural and real." And as we've preached before, here at SMP, what better way to begin...

Brought to us by Karri North Photography, our next affair is a charming vineyard wedding at Château des Charmes in Niagara-on-the-Lake. I love the contemporary black and white damask with the bright yellows... it gives the event an all together approachable and super chic feel.

From the beautiful bride, Rena...

Black and white is my favorite...

Fall Wedding in Historic Downtown LA

We have several very different celebrations to share with you today, each couple with their own distinct style and each event full of steal-worthy ideas. First up, we have a beautiful October affair held at Union Station in Los Angeles. Now, I have to admit... I was a little partial to this one. My hubby and I celebrated our marriage a couple years ago at a historic train station in my hometown... So when I saw this wedding sent to us by LBB member, Britney Gardner and Joe Rumore of...

Table Number DIY Project

This is not so much a DIY project as a really simple idea...using brown bags filled with fruit as either a table number OR as seating cards. Depending on the size of the bag that you buy, you can use these little treats in different ways. Either approach is just a really adorable way to bring a bit of charm to your table. This DIY is for seating cards, but really...it's super easy to translate this project in lots of different ways. Please note, we kept our bags without names on them, as...

Homemade Pie Favors

Okay! Now on to the pies themselves. This was probably the easiest thing that I have ever done and coming from the world's worst baker (I swear, I'm not exaggerating)...that really says a lot. I fully admit that I cheated and bought pre-made pie dough. For one round, I made the filling myself but then I discovered that they actually make pre-made pie filling, so you know I jumped right on that bandwagon. Sad, I know. But they turned out so stinking cute, who cares! Materials Pie Dough...

Jekyl Island Wedding From Agnes Lopez Photography

We always like to ask our brides to give us some insight into how they approached planning their wedding ~ their inspiration, their vision. Here's what Ashaki had to say ~

The main inspiration for our wedding came from my two favorite movies, Gone With The Wind and Marie Antoinette. I made Embry watch these movies countless times while we were dating, and when he barely objected, I knew he was the man for me!!! I really wanted to have a traditional wedding...

Photography Workshop by Jessica Claire, III

I work with a

TON of great photographers. Some have been around a while so their skills and perspectives are really honed, really unique. Others are new and are constantly experimenting with different style and ideas. But I don't think that I've had the chance to see the same wedding or space photographed by so many different artists. It's amazing to me that each photographer behind Jessica Claire's Photography Workshop...
