Little Compton, Rhode Island is a magical place. It's a pretty little secret tucked away in the smallest of states, but if you are lucky enough to take a trip there, you'll know immediately why getting married here was this Bride's childhood dream. With miles and miles of sea views, a town that embodies that old New England feel that makes me weak in the knees, and gorgeous images from Raquel Reis Photography? It goes without saying this...

Sometimes we read the bride's story and just know. Know she and her husband were like two puzzle pieces made for each other. A perfect fit. And then it's a race to get to the images to see how perfectly their wedding complimented them. This was one of those weddings. Every detail from the invites (courtesy of Lemon + Lavender) to the fab florals from Munster Rose to the parting...
Truth be told, this Montauk wedding has officially made my Monday morning. Marked with a sense of understated elegance and impeccable style, it's the kind of modern Hamptons affair that makes my heart feel a little fuller thanks to flawless planning on the part of Loli Events. Trent Bailey sent over...
My heart? It has officially melted. Because not only do we have one brand spankin' new baby to share with the world, we have two. Double the new baby smell. Double the teeny tiny toes. Double the heart melting, aww inducing, so sweet it hurts adorableness that six day old twins brings. If I wasn't completely jealous of Bryce Covey's life behind the lens before, you can certainly bet I am now. Capturing brand new babies is a career I...
You know what I seriously adore? At-home engagement sessions. They're all at once cozy and beautiful, with a little sneak peak into the lives of a Mr. and Mrs. who are beyond excited to get married. That's perfection in my book. And when that at-home engagement session is the result of a rainy NYC day (like this darling shoot captured by Sasithon Photography), even better. Because what's more intimate or gorgeous than two...
Sometimes all it takes is a stunning bride, a beautiful location and a drop-dead gorgeous gown to send our hearts into a serious pitter patter... a stripped-down version of wedding lovely with just the prettiest details at play. So, when the oh-so-talented Rustic White Photography sent along this beyond breathtaking Honeymoon Island shoot, we...
This morning we have a really sweet story for you. The wedding you are about to see was one that was very intimate, only the couples' parents in attendance. After the big question, they started planning a big day. As it got bigger and bigger, they realized the most important thing was just to be married at the end of the day - and that they did. They cancelled their big wedding, and opted for a super romantic, smaller one with big meaning. Lucky for the rest of us...
I've been forever obsessed with the gorgeous bridesmaid + bridal gowns from Joanna August. These ethereal stunners, which are beautifully crafted from luxe fabrics and offered in spot-on colors, are unlike anything else in today's wedding market. So when I heard they were pairing up with custom shoe company Milk & Honey to create amazing head-to-toe looks for...
Oh, what a week it's been. From city chic soirees to al fresco affairs, we've done our share of swooning but have one last slice of pretty before the weekend begins. Straight from the lens of our dear friend Bryce Covey, this Texas engagement is just the eye candy we need on a Friday afternoon. It's a look at love in its purest form and there's even more e-sesh inspiration to be had in the full gallery ...
Okay. I know it's Friday, and I know you're just counting down the hours (minutes? seconds?) until you can walk out the door and start whatever wedding festivities you've got planned for this weekend, but I've got just the thing to stop you in your tracks. Chelsea Nicole Photography captured a proposal so beautiful, it will make you forget you've got one foot out the door already. Seriously, this is...
I am just going to kick things off with the following: this, my friends, is my dream wedding. Think I am being just a tad bit hyperbolic? Well, let me assure you... I am not. Because this wedding is literally everything I have dreamt my own wedding day to be with a breathtaking San Diego Botanic Garden backdrop (my fave city), the fab stylings + florals of ...
Gold makes my heart happy. Gold and pink? Even better. Not only is my heart happy, it's down right singing over this Palm Springs affair. Flowers dripping in gold sequins by Arrangements Floral, a Bride and Groom in their wedding day best and a whole gallery full of celebratory moments captured by Fondly Forever Photograph. Singing hearts and gorgeous details, it doesn't get...
We are up to our ears in the cutest, most fabulous, squeal inducing Neon Celebration...with old school paper link backdrops and bright blue martini's for days. And if ever there was a party that justified inviting your friends over for no reason at all, this one would be it. So kick back, grab something fruity and feast your eyes on all of the goodness. Fair warning, you might need a pair of shades, too.
These two love birds have been together since high school, and get this: he proposed in a hot air balloon. Um, I'm swooning as I've never swooned before. The proposal lead way to a wedding which was perfectly whimsy in it's floating hot air balloon centerpieces, and, of course, absolutely beautiful. Phindy Studios captured every sweet moment between these two and we've filled...
I know that it's sort of killing you guys that we have yet to unveil the full Neon party but I just had to pay homage to all of the cuteness in the DIY projects that served as our foundation. Particularly, this ridiculously cute cake that even a novice baker could tackle with confidence. It's pink, it's sparkly and it has a little nod to the 80's which I sort of love. Boxed White Cake (or make your own with...
I always thought of myself as someone who's drawn to color and that translates into photography as well. Color images set my heart a flutter but Steve Steinhardt is here to throw that theory to the wind. Not only are his color images insanely gorgeous but his black-and-white images will blow your mind. Crafted and floraled to perfection by Allyson Levine of ...
So we can't really take credit for this next little number. We originally spotted it over on Idle Wife and fell so in love with it that we sort of just stole it and plopped it right into our neon celebration, putting our own little striped spin on some of them. And if you're anything like us, you're going to do the exact same thing... Marshmallows (extra large) Paint Brush 4-5 Small...
Next up in the building blocks for our aaaaadorable Neon Party Theme is this oh-so-simple lucite tray. I am a HUGE fan of the lucite tray. A few trays are a great investment for your party pantry because you can always gussy them up with a bit of paint or a paper insert and transform the end result. For this tray, we used a simple tape pattern to create a fun, modern Neon design. newspaper painter's tape lucite tray (found here) spray paint (we used rustoleum fluorescent in yellow)...
Rain on a wedding day? I am a firm believer that it is fabulous. After years of pouring (pun intended) over rainy day fêtes, I've come to the conclusion they always end up being my favorite. Maybe it's how the Groom carries the umbrella over his gorgeous Bride in such a chivalrous way, or perhaps it's intimate mood the sky sets - but what I really love is knowing that even though the weather wasn't perfect - to these two newlyweds, it was their perfect.
This is the perfect example of why I love wedding cinematography. The reason I stress to every single person I know that it's one of the best decisions you'll ever make. Because this film? This beautiful behind-the-scenes look at the day captured by Les Amis Photo? It's mesmerizing. And it's moment after moment of a pure joy and love that will warm every last inch of your heart. Oh, and the Father of the Bride's speech?
