Casual + Rustic Point Reyes Summer Wedding

It’s not every day you come across a wedding with a brass band parade, so when you do, you know you’re in for a treat. And this Northern California wedding from Jessamyn Harris is definitely a treat. From the Bride’s mix-and-match Alexandra Grecco and BHLDN wedding dress to the bright, whimsical bouquets, there’s lots of pretty to soak up in The Vault!

From The Bride & Groom…Among the many beautiful pockets of Northern California, we love West Marin County the most. We chose Point Reyes Station for our wedding because of its low-key, natural vibe and its abundance of nearby sights, activities, and–of course–oysters. Our favorite part of the day was the music: St. Gabriel’s Celestial Brass Band leading the parade through town, our friends playing the ceremony and DJing the reception, and the High Tide Collective (featuring local favorite The Haggards) capping off the night at the Old Western Saloon. We feel incredibly lucky to have spent such a great day with family and friends.

Elegant Oregon Vineyard Summer Wedding

This beautiful Bride gets major points for style. Why, you ask? Not only is her Katie May open-back lace wedding dress absolutely beautiful, but the back necklace is completely on point. With her winning look and every other beautiful detail (hello, white rose and lavender bouquet), this Oregon winery wedding is the perfect combination of rustic elegance. See it all from Blue Rose Photography in The Vault!

From Blue Rose PhotographyBrittany and Yves had a beautiful summer wedding in Oregon’s Wine Country at the Maysara Winery and Vineyards. Yves family is from California and France while Brittany grew up in Washington, so Oregon was a perfect middle point for their family to gather and celebrate their love. These two are so laid back and fun to photograph. Brittany was an effortlessly beautiful bride in her Katie May gown. I especially loved her back necklace that showed off the deep open back cut of her dress. It was a perfect wedding for a great couple and we couldn’t be more excited for them.

Winter Engagement Session

These two are the cutest.  I’m talking college sweethearts who fell in love over study sessions in the library and returned to that very spot for their e-sesh cute.  It’s a breathtaking winter backdrop meets some crazy gorgeous florals by Inspire Events meets a whole lot of sweetness.  See it all captured beautifully by Sheradee Hurst in THE VAULT right this way.

From Sheradee Hurst… Adam and Brook spent countless hours on the campus of the University of Central Oklahoma, particularly in The Great Room at the library, as their relationship grew. They found themselves distracted from their school work because they were falling in love. What started out as a friendship began to evolve into an undeniable romance. They cherish memories from the campus of the University of Oklahoma, so it was an easy choice for their engagement session to be in The Great Room where the great love of their life began. Right outside the library is a concrete u-shaped symbol called The Spoonholder. Legend has it that if you kiss someone inside The Spoonholder you are destined to marry that person. Legend is true as these two will tie the knot this fall.

Brook dreamed of a snowy engagement session, so in a team effort, her wedding planner, Talia Morgan with Inspire Events and Sheradee Hurst Photography were on standby at the first chance of snow. When the forecast called for it accumulation, the plan sparked into action. While the wind was rather strong on shoot day, it was imperative they make the snowy engagement shoot happen. Talia Morgan also designed the floral to give an added touch of wintery beauty and bring in even more color to coordinate with their wardrobe. You can tell from Adam and Brook’s chemistry, nothing heats up a blistery cold engagement shoot like a rock solid love.

Elegant Four Seasons Wedding in Paris

What could be better than a wedding in Paris? How about an elopement in Paris with just you, your one and only, and a few cherry blossom trees for good measure. If that sounds like your coupe of champagne then get scrolling because we’re serving up that and more thanks to the ever-so-talented Kristin Sweeting. It’s a celebration that’s as French as it is fabulous and we’ve got it all waiting in The Vault!

From Kristin SweetingWhen Laura and Brian started planning their wedding, they knew they wanted to make it an extra special experience for their friends and family. Laura had studied in Paris, so their love of the city, French style, and French food made Paris the perfect place for their destination wedding. Their weekend was full of special moments, like the double decker bus tour that they took their guests on before the rehearsal dinner and the song that Laura’s brother sang to the newlyweds at their reception. Laura incorporated beautiful details in to the day, like the custom stitched message inside Brian’s jacket and her wedding dress, which was hand painted by friend and artist Mallory Page. They made their wedding weekend a wonderful experience for their guests and family and it was clear how excited everyone was to be there to celebrate with this wonderful couple!

Whimsical

From the Bride… A wedding was something I really wanted since I was a little girl. The thought of my father giving me away to the love of my life, made me emotional every time. I was very surprised though when Jelmer asked me to marry him! For him, standing in the spotlight is one of his biggest fears! But finally on the 23th of June in Cuba, he fell on his knee with shaking hands and pulled up to big question! Will you marry me? Before he even asked this question I started to cry and said “YES YES of course”. My hands started shaking too and I had a gorgeous ring on my finger. The first thing I did was taking a picture with my ring together with the most perfect sunset on the background and text this to one of my dearest friends. “IT FINALLY HAPPENED!“

Jelmer and I, we decided together that we would like to have an outside ceremony. I really wanted a very light and bright venue where we could arrange everything ourselves, so we went on a difficult search. We instantly fell in love with the castle ‘Gestelhof’ in Belgium. This venue is a private property, so very exclusive. We loved the very intimate and calm atmosphere. This castle is build in a circle which creates a very unique setting. Also a lot of old buildings and art pieces there, perfect for taking pictures!

A difficult part, but for me the most exciting part, was about to happen. Contact all the vendors for organising a wedding at this perfect venue.
There was nothing! No lights, no electricity, no kitchen,… for some brides a real horror scene but for me the perfect occasion to create our very one dream day. Every detail would be made and handpicked by me and Jelmer! Our date was set, the 4th of July, the day that my grandparents were married as well.

We decided to have a theme and color palette: a whimsical pastel theme! An elegant but nonchalant wedding. Nobody was surprised with this color pallete! I am always dressed in soft colors and feminine clothing. The dress code was long, pastel romantic dresses for the ladies. For the guys we had a dark suit with a minimum of color accents in mind. Some guests found it difficult. In Belgium it’s not a habit to set up a dress code. But we both wanted an American wedding in Belgium! I spend a whole year planning this wedding. Jelmer supported me in every thing. I made every detail myself. The invitations, handwritten arrows and welcome sign, choosing the vendors, the altar piece and so on. I even bought all my decoration items in other countries.

The week before the wedding we had to arrange a tent last minute! We planned to have the ceremony in open air but the weather was so unique. It would be the hottest day since 1904! The temperature was rising till 39 °C / 102.2 °F. Everyone was getting nervous about his extreme hot weather!

For me, the highlight of our wedding was the moment where my father saw me for the first time. This moment was a very special thing to me.
Our photographer catched this moment perfectly! We started the day with our ceremony and had a traditional cocktail hour after this. For dinner we had an Italian buffet. And we danced till 4 o’ clock! A special thanks to my husband Jelmer, he supported me during this year. He didn’t want to stand in the spotlight but he did this for me! And also a big thanks to my friends and family, they only heard me talking about pastel pastel pastel a whole year long. Thanks to al our vendors for making our day so special!

Classic D.C. Four Seasons Hotel Ballroom Wedding

Nina and Michael may have had a classic ballroom wedding, but their big day was full of personality. From the delicious South American-inspired bites to the Make Your Own Caipirinha Kits as favors, this D.C. day is all kinds of fun. And with vendors like Lisa Ziesing For Abby Jiu PhotographyKarson Butler Events and Amie Decker Beauty, it’s also all kinds of pretty. See it all in The Vault!

From Karson Butler EventsNina and Michael are one of the sweetest couples you’ll ever meet. Michael’s explanation of why life is better with Nina had us tearing up and the look on Nina’s face when she listens to Michael talk is too cute for words. Their July wedding at The Four Seasons was full of sweet details and nods to their heritage and family traditions.

We loved designing a celebration that embraced both the bride and groom’s two cultures while embracing modern touches and feeling of the venue and couple’s style. After seeing many venues, we knew the Four Seasons Hotel Washington DC was the perfect place for Nina & Michael’s wedding. The Conservatory room provided the perfect intimate ceremony spot with marble floors and a gorgeous skylight. Dinner and dancing happened in the Seasons ballroom and we loved the non-rectangular shape and floor to ceiling natural light. Not only was it climate controlled – a must in the summertime, the culinary team was a dream to collaborate with.

Michael is Brazilian and Nina is Peruvian which we incorporated into various aspects of their wedding day. Cocktail hour offered their guests the chance to try chicken hearts, pastels, and a creative ceviche station. Specialty cocktails were a Peruvian Pisco Sour for Nina and a Brazilian Caipirinha for Michael. The culinary nods to their heritages continued throughout the night. The chef at Four Seasons DC made a special chimichurri sauce to accompany a delicious steak dinner. Lastly, the dessert display had traditional brigadeiros and mango creams. The inclusion of so many specialty items from the beginning to the end of the night made for a truly unique culinary experience for guests to enjoy.

Portuguese dance songs mixed into current beats by DJ Dan Goldman kept the dance floor packed. Guests left with a fun treat to remember the fun-loving couple. Make Your Own Caipirinha Kits were a hit (and some of the cutest favors we’ve ever made!) Guests each received a mini bottle of cachaça, sugar cubes, a lime, and a recipe card so they could enjoy Brazil’s national cocktail one more time and toast to Nina and Michael!

Al Fresco Beltane Ranch Summer Wedding

These two are too cute for words. Example #1: the sweet groom tracked down the ranch he and his lady saw in a movie, and after a surprise weekend getaway there, they fell in love with it all; shortly after, it’s where they said “I do.” And then let’s just take one look at this precious pic? It’s one of many captured by Britt Rene from their summer celebration and we’re all in a sweeter mood after soaking up all their love -more in our Vault right this way!

From the Bride… Beltane Ranch has a special place in our hearts. After watching “The Five Year Engagement,” Jarrett researched ‘The Drunken Pig,’ the ranch in the movie where the couple hosted their engagement dinner. He found that it was a quaint bed and breakfast tucked back in the hills of the Sonoma Valley. One weekend Jarrett surprised me with a romantic weekend away and reserved a room at Beltane Ranch. Upon arriving, we both fell in love with the beautiful gardens and the two Clydesdale horses out front. Together we knew one day we would get married on the property.[dotted]

Organic Style Wedding in Sacramento

If there were ever an “I do” to give us major #WeddingGoals, it’d be this one. I’m deeming it “timeless elegance with a styled rustic twist,” all photographed through the lens of Mariel Hannah. In the words of the Bride, “As girls, we dream and imagine that our wedding day will be perfect.” And in this case, that little girl’s dream was totally brought to life. Head this way for so much more.

From The Bride… The day has finally arrived after waiting for this special moment to marry my best friend. It was a beautiful proposal when Eric asked me to marry him at a small beach in San Francisco. As girls, we dream and imagine that our wedding day will be perfect and everything will go smooth as planned. As soon as that romantic evening was over I knew I had to start planning and putting all the pieces together for my ideas to come to life.

As the months were flying by (literally) I realized that a lot has to be done to plan a wedding just like I have dreamed about. From finding the dress, to meetings after meetings finding the perfect venue to fit my style, I realized that planning a wedding could be stressful at times. I took me a little while of searching to find a perfect dress to fit my personality. I was looking for something vintage with a modern twist that I can feel pretty in. After searching for few months I found a dress that fit perfect with the Elegant/Rustic look I was going for, after making some modifications to the dress. After almost 6 months of on and off planning, the last week finally came when I was wrapping up last minute details that had to be done.

The day was here and it felt surreal. I woke up that morning with a smile that no one was able to wipe off my face. I knew that even if things didn’t turn out as planned, I would enjoy this day because I was marrying my best friend. We had the ceremony at the church I grew up in, which was very special for me, and our reception was held at Morgan Creek Gold Course. Eric and I fell in love with Morgan Creek from the first time we saw it.

We had our reception early in the fall on a beautiful sunny day, which ended with a gorgeous sunset. The hall was dimmed and candles were burning on each table while guests were enjoying the beautiful sunset on the patio. I couldn’t believe this day had come, which we both were waiting for, for so long. We enjoyed every moment of it and wished that time would slow down in those last moments. It was a magical day that we will never forget.

There’s so many places I’d love to travel, but sitting at the top of my list is Greece. Why, you ask? These weddings, that’s why. Pantone’s Rose Quartz Makes for the Prettiest Little Girl’s Room

Admittedly, I would spend the rest of my happy days in this pretty room and I’m well past my toddler prime. But it works for the littlest ladies too. A dream mix of Pantone’s color of the year, rose quartz and gold along with cozy textures, heaps of dolls and fairy wings too. See how Winter Daisy made a little girl’s dream space a reality with images by Melissa Barling and even more in the VAULT!

Beautiful rooms are what little girls’ dreams are made of…and sometimes Mom’s too. Three-year-old Ella and her family had recently moved into a bigger home and were looking to have the room transformed from a baby nursery into a space that Ella could enjoy not only now as a toddler but somewhere special that could be used and loved for years to come. The overall goal was to create a bright, airy and whimsical space in soft pink, hints of grey and accents of gold – something completely dreamy!

Starting with the Numero 74 canopy, the rest of the room took cues from there. The perfectly muted pink fabric is soft and forms a lovely little retreat for laying, reading and playing with friends. The gold stars add to the whimsical decor and tie in with the gold throughout.

Keeping the crib from the nursery made sense, as it was easy to remove a side and convert the crib to a day bed. Lots of cushions and soft linens are fun for the day and so simple to remove for bedtime. Above the daybed are feather light angel wings that can come off for wearing or back on the wall for display.

To keep the room looking as beautiful as when it is styled, sufficient storage was a must! Sweet Ella has lots of stuffed animals that she loves to pull out and play. Thankfully, they can easily be tossed back into the baskets when it is time to clean up!

Lucky little Ella loves dressing up so a sweet little dress up corner was created for her to hang special dresses and fairy wings as well as house her growing collection of wands and accessories. She adores not only dressing herself, but also her stuffed animals. The sweet deer and cat are exquisitely handmade in Poland and found on Etsy. Ella loved them so much that more clothes for the animals were ordered for her to play dress up with.

A lovely little DIY touch is the cloud shelves. Ella’s mom found this idea and happily pitched in to create this special touch for her daughter. The rain hooks were painted to match with the Rose Quartz throughout the room and are great for hanging little jackets and purses at just the right height.

With all the sweet details and special DIY touches, Ella’s new room is now a gorgeous space for her to create memories in.

Newport Beach Engagement Session

We’re no stranger to a beautiful beach-set engagement session, but when it involves the likes of Peony & Plum and Esther Sun, you better believe we’re in for a treat. Complete with gorgeous gowns and a styled bouquet to match, no detail went untouched, including a cameo appearance by the cutest fur baby you ever did see. More in The Vault for a happy Monday, indeed.

From The Bride….We met while we were both attending law school at the University of Michigan. Mike was a year ahead, so we didn’t actually meet each other until a dinner with other Korean students at the school. We were sitting at opposite ends of the table, and we hardly talked to each other that night. It wasn’t love at first sight! But over the next couple months we saw each other more at school and got to know each other better.

We only started dating a month before Mike’s graduation, and the relationship was long distance from the start. Mike was returning to his hometown, Chicago, to study for the bar, and Sejin was starting a summer internship in New York. Mike stayed with Sejin and her roommate for a month in a railroad-style Upper East Side apartment that summer. After the summer, Sejin went back to school at Michigan, Mike started working in Chicago, and we saw each other on the weekends as much as we could. After Sejin graduated, we spent the summer together in Chicago while Sejin studied for the bar.

After that wonderful summer together in Chicago and after moving together to New York, we both knew we were with the person that we wanted to spend the rest of our lives with. We picked out a ring together, but Sejin didn’t know when Mike was going to pop the question. After a dinner out with friends one night, we returned to Sejin’s apartment, and when she opened the door to her room, she was greeted with a runway of white candles and lights leading to the ring. It was a complete surprise!

We’re so excited to be getting married in front of our closest friends and families in Malibu in August, and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect engagement shoot!

Classic Tulsa Wedding Infused with Art Deco Details

When the wedding vision is based around the Bride’s beautiful blush pink Lazaro ballgown wedding dress, you know you’re in for a treat. From the blush peonies and peach garden roses in the Bride’s beautiful bouquet to the art deco design details carried throughout the reception, this Tulsa wedding, captured by Amanda Watson Photography, is so perfect, not even a tornado warning could spoil it. See all the pretty in The Vault!

From Emerson Events & DesignNatalie and I met in November 2014, after her photographer, Amanda Watson sent her my way to discuss planning and floral design. When that first meeting ended and she gave me a big hug, I knew her and I would have lots of fun planning!

Most of the creative vision was based around Natalie’s amazing Lazaro gown, and the beautiful art deco elements of the reception venue. Though they live in Oklahoma City, where Brandon works for Oklahoma City Thunder, Natalie and Brandon chose to get married in Tulsa, where she
is from.

They chose the beautiful historic Harwelden Mansion to have the ceremony. To create a laid back vibe, we had a pre-ceremony happy hour. The guests sipped on champagne, snacked on spring rolls from the couple’s favorite Thai restaurant in Tulsa, and viewed the gorgeous venue. The couple exchanged vows in front of the Harwelden Mansion’s doors under a chuppah adorned with flowers. As a nod to Natalie’s father, who had passed, she walked down the aisle to ‘Here Comes the Sun’ by the Beatles, one of his favorite songs. Natalie’s bouquet featured peonies, garden roses and ranunculus to accent her gown. A brooch that belonged to her grandmother was also pinned to the wrap.

After the ceremony, the guests hopped on shuttle buses to 624 Kitchen where they enjoyed Moscow Mules, while they waited on the newlyweds to arrive. The reception decor was kept sleek and simple, to not take away from the amazing original deco elements it has. The flower arrangements were a mix of tall black vases with hydrangeas, pale pink roses and some cascading foliage. The other half of the tables had a low lush compote arrangement with anemones, pale pink blooms and foliage. Brandon and Natalie made their entrance and danced to the classic Etta James, At Last. Everyone enjoyed a wonderful tapas style dinner, drinks and music handpicked by the couple.

Near the end of the reception, I got word that we were under a severe storm watch, and it was heading right towards Tulsa. Just about the time the couple were supposed to make their grand exit, the tornado sirens began to go off and the remaining guests, vendors and staff were all escorted to the basement stairwell until it passed. Thankfully, no tornadoes came through! We did have a torrential downpour of rain that caused some flooding, but Natalie and Brandon were still the happiest they could have ever been! It’s not an eventful wedding in Oklahoma unless you have severe weather. Nonetheless, Mother Nature was on our side that day and the Barnett’s had their beautiful outdoor ceremony and a fun reception with all of their family and friends in attendance.

Rustic Meets Luxurious Farm Wedding

Work at SMP long enough and you’ll start to believe in fairy tales.  Those true love stories that start with chance meetings and end with luxurious fétes set against a stunning barn backdrop.  This, loves, is just that story.  Think romantic florals from Garnish Event Design, the breathtaking stylings of JPC Event Group and brilliant images from Joey Kennedy.  See them all right here in THE VAULT.

Rustic

From JPC Event Group… Vintage decor and lush florals ruled this rustic luxe wedding. Rich hues of navy and marsala provided an enchanting palette set against various locations on Rustic Acres Farm in Volant, Pennsylvania. An unexpected weather event was the surprise of a lifetime for this South Florida couple – an early October snowfall! When the early autumn snow fell it created a magical backdrop that turned Rustic Acres Farm into a winter wonderland. The snow ended up being the perfect backdrop for Garnish Event Design’s mixed florals with hints of burgundy and cream, the warm wood and sparkling lights of the Farm creating a snow globe effect straight out of a woodland fairy tale.

Casey & Alex were such a sweet couple. They really wanted to make sure the entire event was cohesive and captured their own personalities from the ceremony and reception décor and details to the food! Their love for each other was encapsulating and so contagious, that not a person in attendance could deny that they are soulmates.

From the Bride… Alex and I met the first morning of orientation for medical school at the University of Florida. As chance would have it, Alex was sitting directly behind me during one of our morning sessions. I overhead him talking to a classmate about being a brother of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity, and turned around to see if I recognized him. We started to talk about Greek life and later figured out that we both grew up in South Florida. The two of us continued to hang out during orientation, and spent most of the social events that week getting to know each other. Fast forward a few weeks later when Alex took me out on our first date, since that time we have remained inseparable. During our final year of school, after spending many months away from each other for interviews, Alex proposed on New Year’s morning. The only thing that could top a perfect proposal was the surprise brunch celebration that Alex planned later that morning, with our closest friends and family in attendance.

When considering our wedding style, Alex and I knew that we wanted to have an intimate and romantic celebration. The two of us ended up moving to Pittsburgh to complete our medical residencies, and found the perfect venue just outside of the city to have our wedding at. We fell in love with Rustic Acres Farm’s rustic barn; with its hanging chandeliers, complete with a wrap around deck with views of rolling fields. We decided on a more neutral color scheme, as to not overpower the natural beauty and fall foliage present on the farm. Garnish Event Design by JPC Event Group executed our vision perfectly with floral arrangements consisting of ivory and pale pink flowers, and a touch of burgundy. Gold candelabras and table numbers added to the romance of the lush florals. The beautiful willow tree provided a magical setting to hold our ceremony, and we were married standing underneath a chuppah that was built by Alex’s father.

Our venue provided the caterer, Savor Fresh Catering by JPC Event Group, and they whipped up a feast that we continue to dream about. Our guests still rave about the most delicious doughnuts and pies at the dessert table. Having a live band was extremely important to the both of us. The Bachelor Boy Band kept our guests dancing the entire night, even during a brief power outage. Our amazing photographer (Joey Kennedy) and videographer (ShoFilms), captured the wedding perfectly and treated us like family.

Alex and my favorite parts of the wedding day were the Havdalah service and Ketubah signing, which took place prior to our wedding ceremony. Surrounded by our immediate family in a candle lit room, we were able to sign our marriage contract in an intimate and special way.

Cool Anecdote: An unexpected cold front passed through Pittsburgh the week of our wedding, leading to snowfall right before our outside ceremony began. Although it was freezing cold, the snow added a magical touch to our special day. Many of our guests had traveled north from Florida, and were good sports regarding the unexpected weather. My advice to other brides is you cannot prepare for everything to go perfectly on your wedding day! Even though our weather was not ideal, it did lead to some breathtaking photographs in the snow. Who would have guessed that it would snow mid- October?!

Cozy Honeymoon Session in Santorini

And just like that, Kibogo Photography has ignited wanderlust in each and every single one of us, because this gallery sitting pretty in The Vault? Well, it’s honeymoon perfection. Imagine – waking up next to your beloved in out-of-this-world-stunning Santorini, sounds pretty dreamy right? Until we find ourselves there we’ll be living vicariously through through these honeymooners via The Vault!

From Kibogo Photography….Santorini, endless views for sunset and sunrise and white houses everywhere. A dream Island for photographer.I stayed in Kamari, a little and beautiful village next to the black beach. Kamari is the place where people come for a lazy day at the beach. There you have plenty of restaurants where you can enjoy traditional greek food but also sea food and other standard meals or just a Frappé (greek iced coffee drink). And this is where I met this super gorgeous couple after chatting a whole night via Instagram with Rachel. We never met before just found her through a hashtag #Santorini After a super fun afternoon at the beach they took me to Oia where they stayed and arranged everything for the couple shoot for the next day.

Oía and Imerovig is a must see! Oía is the city with many white houses/churches and blue roofs. Imerovigli has a beautiful view of the Caldera and both towns have magic sunset views. If you are in Oía you should definitely eat some crepes with nutella! They are the best! You have plenty cafés with a view.

From the Newlyweds… Santorini was one of the most magical, breathtaking places we’ve ever visited. We spent most of our time in our airbnb, but when we weren’t there we were exploring oia, watching the sunset, and drinking frappe on the beach (Kamari). We also shopped and ate in Thira one day, which was nice (Just a tad touristy). If you’re going there to honeymoon, I would definitely suggest checking out the airbnbs in Oia. They are a more affordable, yet just as beautiful way to experience the gorgeous caldera view. We also rented a car for a couple days, which was the BEST decision. We were able to travel across the entire island and experience all of the different types of landscape.

Charming Georgia Stables Wedding in Pastel Hues

Getting married in horse stables doesn’t sound terribly romantic, but when you see Kenzie and Ward’s Georgia wedding, you’ll see just how romantic and beautiful it can be. Simply Charming Socials created a botanical-inspired wedding wonderland in shades of purple, peach and blush. Head to The Vault for all the beautiful details—from lush flowers to sweet horses—thanks to beautiful photos from Kathryn McCrary!

From Simply Charming SocialsThe day could not have been more beautiful for this lovely Spring wedding in Georgia. Kenzie and Ward, as they are known affectionately, celebrated among friends and family at the beautiful Foxhall Resort and Sporting Club, a whitewashed stables amongst fields and blooms. Kenzie and mom Wesley enlisted wedding planner and designer Kristine Cooke of Simply Charming Socials to create a botanical-inspired wedding, color washed in an array of pastels. Kathryn McCrary photographed each moment of the affair.

As each side of the bridal party dressed for the day, it was apparent this couple is so loved by friends and family as laughter and smiles are aplenty. Kenzie dressed with her maids, mom, and three sisters. All of the girls donned in flowy floor length dress, the bridesmaids from Joanna August, and the three sisters in floral numbers by Reformation. Kenzie sat to get her hair and makeup perfected by Jennifer Nieman, complete with flowers in her hair, before dressing in a form-fitting Nicole Miller gown found at The Sentimentalist in Atlanta. On the other side of the property, Ward and his groomsmen joshed around and sampled the bourbon bar before dressing in their grey suits and white silk yarmulkes. Father of the bride and friends of the family gathered with the rabbi to sign the ketubah, the final duty before the ceremony began.

The guests were shuttled to Douglasville, GA where they arrived to a courtyard ceremony, a display of white chairs nestled between horse paddocks. Southern sweet tea and lemonade greeted friends pre-ceremony as they listened to Athens-based bluegrass duo, Cicada Rhythm. No outdoor Jewish ceremony would be complete without a chuppah, constructed of birch branches and swathed in hand-dyed ombre peach linens. The Flower Post adorned the traditional marriage structure with a garland of lush greenery and pinky blooms. Under the cloth sat a table with ceremonial items for the vows Kenzie and Ward exchanged and the sealing of their union.

After the ceremony, guests were treated to a cocktail hour on the back lawn as they indulged in delectable appetizers from caterer Sun in my Belly and lounged in beautiful vintage furniture. Blue Eyed Yonder’s pink sofa, lovely settee, and bespoke bar cart made for comfortable conversation pieces. Before the reception began, Kenzie and Ward headed down to the field to take some portraits with the resident horses. Kenzie is an avid horse lover and equestrian so a botanical wreath for her equine friends was a must.

As guests were welcomed to the reception, they were seated in a room filled with lush linens, cascading white drapery, and place settings fit for a farm-to-table feast. From hand-dyed runners to watercolored hand-lettered place cards by Lairsey Paper Co. to vintage votives, no detail was left unnoticed. Toasts and bubbly were flowing as friends and family enjoyed a sensational meal. After dinner, it was on to the other side of the stables for a peachy cake, petite desserts, and dancing for one and all. The Drive Time Band was lively and played a mix of dance hits, throwback tunes, and, of course, the horah. The evening ended with a bubble farewell and tons of hugs and kisses as Kenzie and Ward exited into the night.
