From Out of HandWho says your bachelorette weekend has to be in Vegas or in Florida? Ooh Events of Charleston, SC worked with future bride Kate Francis to help her plan a ladies weekend leading up to her Spring 2017 wedding to Alister Williams. Where the country road meets the coast is where you will find this Rockville Retreat!

Rockville, SC is located just south of Charleston and roughly 25 miles from the premier wedding city. With light winds and huge oaks, this area is ideal for a summer afternoon with friends and family.

The girls were greeted with champagne and macaroons by the future bride, followed by a relaxing day of catching up and wedding preparations. Waking up with coffee on the dock and ending the day with a cannonball sounds like a perfect weekend to me!

The Best Hostess Gifts (that Aren’t Wine)

I must admit, I’m a little bummed to not be hosting Thanksgiving this year. I love the planning, prepping and the beautiful chaos of the day (even when I end up kicking everyone out of the kitchen during that last crazy hour of food assembly). But I also love coming up with fun hostess gifts—so I get to shine in that area this year! Are you heading to someone else’s abode for this year’s feast? Think beyond the wine and gift them something creative that they’ll appreciate.

A yacht club wedding with raspberry peonies? Yes, please.

The wedding of the year? We have it right here. It’s sophisticated and romantic and features some of the most beautiful details you will ever see planned to perfection by the talented team at Kirkbrides Wedding Planning & Design. Think a gorgeous cake from Luna Bakery & Cafe, stunning florals from Blooms by Plantscaping (hello, raspberry peonies) and breathtaking images captured by Aster & Olive. See them all in THE VAULT right here.

From the Bride… The excitement of “yes”, unexpectedly, was followed by less than 125 days until the official “I do”. I had no clear vision in sight – only Pinterest boards and magazine tear-outs which continued to grow. Favoring a diverse variety of styles, my confusion rapidly increased while time flitted away. Kirkbrides was needed and hired!

While the guests were seated and waiting for the ceremony to begin, my dad and I slipped away from the bridesmaids and the waiting processional line and boarded my uncle’s boat. Attached to the roof and side were “HERE COMES THE BRIDE” signs. We were navigated down the river by a friend in captains attire. Bette Midler’s Chapel of Love song was piped out onto the lawn for the seated guests to hear. Soon, friends and family began to spot our surprise entry and pointing for others to look… after a smooth landing, I walked down the sidewalk on my father’s arm to the prepared aisle on the lawn. Opus 216, a stringed quartet soon played more solemn music for our wedding march.

Soon after our engagement in December, my future mother-in-law, an interior designer, texted my mom and I a photo of some David Stark centerpieces from a magazine. Aspiring for a unique look, and following the florists enthusiastic approval of Stark’s work, we chose to replicate and build off this theme. After further deliberation we coupled this with rich, vibrant raspberry peonies bunched together set inside rough wooden boxes.

The palms, and other assorted greenery, paired with the vibrant peonies set on top of gorgeous La Tavola linens, created a dramatic effect. Ivy cascaded the head table, lined with candles, and glass, candle-lit orbs dangled from the main chandelier in the ballroom.

Kirkbrides helped with detailed tips and tricks that saved hours of time while also adding a personalized touch. For example, rather than using individual name placements that would accompany (potentially multiple) menus to accommodate the dinner selection of each guest, we created custom menus at individual place settings, with the guest’s name and specific meal choice. Kirkbrides also helped us with special touches, like uplighting and pin spotting. Another favorite recommendation their team offered was to have the band kick off the reception with 2-3 songs before dinner to showcase a preview for the evening’s entertainment.

Throughout July 3, and certainly even more so by the end of the day, Taylor and I were overwhelmed with the love and excitement that evening and did not want it to end. A big thank you to our parents and to Kirkbrides Wedding Planning for helping create and pull off a vision I didn’t know was possible!

Elegant + Modern Wedding in Newport Rhode Island

You already know about the beauty that is Belle Mer, so then you know that this Newport celebration is sure to be chic. Add in W Studios New York behind the lens and you’re guaranteed a gallery filled with goodness. See it all in The Vault!

From W Studios New YorkDespite our many years of travel and photographing destination weddings, Stephen and I never got a chance to visit Rhode Island so you can imagine our excitement when we found out Jackie and Brad were tying the knot in Newport, Rhode Island. It met all of our expectations of a sea side town and more. Despite some rain on the wedding day, Jackie couldn’t wait to get to St. Mary’s Church located in the heart of town and get married! After the ceremony we took off for Belle Mer and is if by magic the rain let off. The newlyweds and the bridal party were greeted by gorgeous water views. The rain clouds made the sunset that much more dramatic and the sailboats sprinkled throughout set the perfect scene for the guests to enjoy. The reception space was decorated with luscious ivy and elegant orchids giving the space a crisp modern atmosphere. The guests spent the evening whirling on the dance floor and enjoying great conversation and warmth by the outdoor fire pit.

From the Bride…I remember thinking when I woke up in the morning…“Oh this is what everyone talks about” – I had never been so anxious in my life. I had adrenaline pumping through my body, I didn’t even need my morning coffee. I kept thinking, I wonder how Brad is? Once I got ready and put the dress on, I was ready to go. I couldn’t get to the church faster – and of course there was only one road to get there and it was down pouring rain. I couldn’t have ran there faster.

The ceremony was beautiful….Longest. Aisle. Ever. We laughed a lot and I was just happy to be next to Brad. I remember I calmed down as soon as I could hold his hand. I also remember thinking, all those times I have been to church, I felt like mass was so long. This was the fastest ceremony ever.

The day flew by. When we arrived at Belle Mer, it was exactly how I wanted it. Clean, crisp and fresh looking. The guests started to arrive and I just kept saying “Thank you for coming to celebrate with us, we really appreciate it” and I meant every word of that sentence every time I said it. Come to find out, Brad was saying the same words.

The party was amazing because of our friends and family who made the trip. The speeches were incredible, my Dad is THE BEST, my sister is hysterical and my now brother in law is so genuine.

Then the party started, the dance floor was full and that’s exactly what we wanted. We wanted everyone to have a blast (and I think it was a success!) Our friends convinced us we had to do the hora (neither Brad nor I are Jewish) – it was the most fun I have ever had on a chair. The room exploded with energy and it escalated throughout the evening. It is so hard to put that day into words. The perfect sunset, the fireworks, the people, the energy and of course US. We had expectations and we surpassed them. I have no regrets and I wouldn’t have done it any other way.

A Fall Garden Wedding Anchored in Southern Grace

Lauren and Brandon’s wedding day at The Fearrington House was about so much more than pretty florals or styled details. Although gorgeous in every way, it was a celebration centered on family and the ones they love most. With Brandon’s father passing weeks before the wedding, they were focused on what truly matters and chose to incorporate meaningful heirlooms like their grandparents’ rings. Callie Davis of Nancy Ray Photography told their love story through her lens and it’s all inside The Vault.

From Callie Davis of Nancy Ray Photography… Lauren and Brandon were married on a gorgeous Fall day and from the moment that they saw each other during their first look to the moment that they walked through an exciting line of sparklers, there was so much joy beaming on both of their faces.

With Brandon losing his father a couple weeks before their wedding day, both the bride and groom were reminded how sweet life truly is and that all that really matters is relationships. With their friends and families close, they committed their lives to each other underneath a beautiful greenery covered pergola and then danced the night away in the romantic barn at Fearrington Village.

Lauren looked stunning in her unique one shoulder gown and her lush garden bouquet added a subtle pop of color to match the garden setting. Lauren and Brandon both chose to wear their grandparents rings, an heirloom that they hope to continue to be passed down in their family.

Tour the Sweetest Vintage Nursery for a Baby Girl

The sweetest details are wrapped up in this vintage inspired nursery designed by Convey the Moment. At first glance, it’s all about the dreamy floral wallpaper but upon closer inspection you’ll see small but mighty moments that speak to the vintage lover at heart. A sweet iron bed, pastel hues, lace and more lace and maybe the cutest baby we’ve ever laid eyes on. It’s all sitting pretty in the VAULT captured by Corrina Walker Photography.

On October 10th 2016, our lives changed forever. I got to experience a love I had no idea was even possible. I was able to fall even deeper in love with my husband as I watched him become a daddy to our little girl. This was by far the VERY best day of my whole entire life.

I’m also so excited to share Harlow’s Nursery. It certainly has become our favorite room in our home. I cannot wait to watch her grow into it and enjoy all the little details her daddy and I carefully selected.

The wallpaper has to be one of my favorite features of the room and I feel it tied everything together. If you’ve followed along for a while you know that I am a very neutral person so choosing something so bold was definitely out of my character but I am so happy we did it.

I wanted a balance between boho and vintage with a little bit of a girly touch and I think I’ve accomplished just that.

A Charming Historic Inn Wedding That’s Fit for a Gilmore Girl

If we’re going to discuss fabulous fall trends, then we certainly can’t leave out the beauty of a wedding day at the Moonstone Manor captured by Joey Kennedy Photography. It’s enough to make the Gilmore Girls jealous (and rightly so). Complete with richly hued wildflowers by design blooms and better than imagined details, we’ve got every second of this stunner sitting patiently (and prettily) in The Vault

From Joey Kennedy Photography…Erin’s style really impressed me, I love to see classic and elegant with a fun twist. Moonstone manor was also a fabulous location for an outdoor wedding.

From the Bride…We first met at my dad’s farm in Virginia the winter of 2013 and from there we spent all summer hiking, rock climbing, and camping. It was the best way to get to know each other and fall in love. Nick had secretly reserved my favorite hike, Old Rag Mountain, as the site where he proposed summer of 2014.

When it came to picking a wedding venue we figured since we were both from different states one side of the family would have to travel anyways; so we decided to meet in the middle. We found Moonstone Manor and thought it would be the perfect place for a laid back, yet classy manor wedding.

The first look was definitely the highlight for both of us, as well as a surprise performance (more on that later), but the whole weekend was equally incredible. It was really a chance for our family and friends from all over the world, some we hadn’t seen for years, to get together and have a reunion. Saturday we hosted a big brunch and hung out with everyone at the house we were renting on the Susquehanna River. This made the wedding day even more relaxed and fun since most everyone had had a chance to get to know each other. The day before our wedding Nick and I went for a beautiful hike. It was really intimate and reminded us why we were getting married and how blessed we were to have each other and everyone we love around us.

We really wanted our guests to have FUN in our wedding. We love weddings where people can feel free to relax and find different things to do in between the program. We had organized a photo booth, guest book table, lounge area for guests to relax, sparklers for the kids, and lots of entertainment. My sister is a singer so she sang Debussy as I walked down the aisle and her A Capella group surprised us with a set of songs during the reception. Another incredible group of people completely surprised everyone at the wedding — Nick’s huge family from the tiny island of Malta spent months organizing and rehearsing a dance for us that they performed near the end of the night. Their performance was beyond amazing.

Advice: Don’t be afraid to ask friends and family for help. They were all so helpful the weekend of our wedding and did so much to make the day beautiful.

Where to Start When Selecting a Wedding Venue

Hi brides-to-be! It’s Shelby from Pretty in the Pines and today we’re talking about finding your wedding venue! It’s one of the biggest decisions you’ll make while planning and it tends to be the deciding factor that holds up the rest of the planning process such as booking photographers, music, and every other detail. Which is why I’ve put together some steps to help narrow down your decisions, below!

[dotted]

Simple Steps to Finding Your Venue

[dotted]

Determine whether you want a local or destination wedding.

We went back and forth on this one and even considered a smaller elopement-style ceremony. We met with multiple local venues but had a hard time finding a place that had a lot we were looking for at the price we were hoping. There’s always that checklist of what you’re looking for and, for me, I knew I wanted 3 things… a wide-open outdoor ceremony surrounded by beautiful scenery and nature, a cozy space to hang out with our wedding party during the day, and located in an area that was special to us. The coast has always been a special and meaningful place for my family, and for us as a couple, so, a part of me dreamed of having a destination wedding. Luckily, we’re just a few hours away from beautiful Carolina beaches and charming lowcountry cities. Ultimately, our travel loving hearts couldn’t say no to a semi-destination wedding.

Make a list of venues in that specific area

Think about whether you want an all-inclusive venue or more flexibility with choosing vendors. We started to realize how some venues required you to use their own vendors for everything (food, florals, planner, etc.) while others allowed you the freedom to use whichever vendors you wanted. There are, of course, pros and cons for both but, ultimately, we thought we could save money and be more creative with a venue that didn’t require using specific vendors. It will definitely require more time researching caterers, florists, etc. but it was a decision we thought was best for us! I’d highly recommend thinking about what is more important to you as a couple: saving time and energy with pre-selected vendors and a more all-inclusive venue or being able to make it more your own and (potentially) cut costs.

Pick a few must-haves but, for everything else, keep an open mind.

There are so many factors that can go into selecting a wedding venue so it is important to narrow down what you’re looking for while also remembering to keep an open mind. Take note of what is most important to you whether it be a church or outdoor ceremony, a city or rural setting, a formal or more casual space, etc. Does weather worry you? For us, being outdoors was important although we know the weather risks. There will always be pros and cons for each venue!

Visit multiple venues and be honest with yourself about each one.

We visited several venues until we thought we had found “the one”. One day, we put a check in a sealed envelope about to be mailed to one venue but something didn’t feel right. I looked online a bit longer, came across one we really liked, and we immediately set up a time to tour. We ended up having that feeling where you ‘just know’ it’s the one and booked a date! Don’t just visit one and settle. Keep your options open!

Pick your date, make it official, and send out Save the Dates!

As soon as you’re engaged, family and friends will start asking about when and where your wedding will be! Once you’ve found the place and booked a date, make it official by sending out Save the Dates to your guest list! You’ll probably have guests traveling from different areas so it is always better to give them a heads up of the date. We used Minted to order ours and the process couldn’t have been easier. Everything from selecting a theme to having them label the envelopes for you was a huge time saver.

I hope some of these tips help if you are a couple in search a wedding venue! It can be a somewhat daunting process but once you find the right place for you as a couple, the rest of the planning can finally get started!

Get Inspired to Craft a Knockout Thanksgiving Dessert Buffet

The dessert spread is half of the greatness that is Thanksgiving. Don’t let your after dinner treats hide in the kitchen. Instead craft a stellar dessert buffet prettied up with calligraphy pumpkins and paper goods. Leftover boxes for all those take home sweets are always a good idea too. Laura Hooper Calligraphy is showcasing how to craft just such a spread. Grab her tips and shop this cute look below!

In preparation for Thanksgiving {how is it in just two weeks?!}, we decided to do something a little different this year and focus on our favorite part of the Thanksgiving meal…dessert!

For our perfect dessert buffet, we started out using platters of different heights & sizes to add depth to the buffet as well as basic greens to add interest.

We picked up a variety of our favorite desserts in mini sizes so that we could include a selection of desserts versus just two or three larger pies. To complete the look we added in some rose gold foil coasters and napkins, as well as our signature watercolor “thankful” tags to add a bit of color to the mix.

We then hand-lettered pumpkins for an unexpected surprise that adds texture to the overall style. Including simple details like these will elevate the look of your dessert display.

Classic Meets Destination in New Mexico

Planning your wedding from afar?  It isn’t always easy, but when you have a venue like La Mesita Ranch Estate and a dream team of vendors working on your every detail, it goes a whole lot smoother.  Just ask Madison and Ryan, a sweet duo who journeyed to the gorgeous state also known as New Mexico and tied the knot in a classic dinner party style celebration. The immensely talented Tamara Gruner was on hand to capture every moment, and THE VAULT? It needs your full, undivided attention.

From the Bride… Ryan proposed to me on a hot air balloon in Santa Fe last year. Once engaged we had our hearts set on a destination wedding and knew that going back to New Mexico felt right for our big day. La Mesita was the perfect choice for us when it came to venue. We loved how intimate, secluded, and special it felt. A true escape and adventure. With a small guest list we wanted our reception to feel like a dinner party; casual but elegant. Planning the wedding from afar was definitely a challenge, only visiting our venue once before the wedding weekend, but our vendors were wonderful and our day was more beautiful than we could ever have imagined! The Land of Enchantment will always hold a special place in our hearts.

A Rustic + Romantic Neutral Inspired Wedding in Greece

What could possibly be better than a destination wedding in Greece? Uhm, try absolutely nothing. Which is why these New Yorkers decided to forgo a city celebration and instead planned their big day like it was the ultimate vacation. With White Ribbon Boutique Events at the helm and Anna Roussos behind the lens, this is one soiree that you won’t want to miss. See it all in The Vault and the moving film from Olive Tree Films, below!

From White Ribbon Boutique EventsPaula and Peter, a couple who live in New York, got married in the beautiful Cycladic Island of Paros on a beautiful summer’s day. We spent time to really get to know the couple and their backgrounds as the groom is Greek and the bride is Colombia and aimed at designing a unique wedding concept for them that infused both their cultures but also their common journey. We settled on a rustic yet romantic theme to which we also incorporated various vintage items. Our flowers were a mix of blush garden roses and many different type of foliage for a more natural look.

Guests experienced some unforgettable moments from the arrival of the bride by a traditional wooden boat, to the “organic” donkey photo booth, the release of flying lanterns at the end of the evening but also the amazing Colombian tradition of Hora Loca or Crazy Dancing Hour where guests put on props and danced until the early hours of the next day.

The Chicest Bridal Boudoir Shoot We’ve Ever Seen

The older I get, the more I believe in slowing down. There’s beauty in the process, just as much as the destination, and that rings true on your wedding day. This shoot by Audra Wrisley captures all that and the details are to die for. With a variety of looks (this chic leotard is my favorite) and a halo braid, the style of this whole shoot is hitting high note after high note. See it all in our Vault right this way!

From Audra WrisleyA wedding day takes so much preparation, and once the day arrives it often passes in the blink of an eye! Slowing down to soak in all the details is crucial. This fashion editorial from Barcelona portrays those quiet moments of a bride getting ready, before going out into the whirlwind of her wedding day.

For this shoot, we had the pleasure of photographing the stunning new designs by Spanish fashion house Cortana, paired with luxury lingerie pieces by the renowned Andres Sarda. These Barcelona based brands are the epitome of the city’s forward thinking fashion scene for brides, that has brought impeccably designed but wearable creations to the international stage.

The Monument Hotel hosted our shoot, located in the heart of the city on Passeig de Gracia, which provided a modern backdrop for the shoot full of charming Catalan architectural features. This recently opened 5 star luxury hotel presents a similarly progressive vision, and also treasures Barcelona’s heritage by incorporating pre-modernist influences in their beautiful spaces.

All pieces are accompanied by sophisticated floral designs by Gang and the Wool, accentuating the garments’ fabric, textures and colors.

How To Mix Modern with Charm When Renovating Your Home

Not only does this condo sing to me with it’s intriguing personality, but the fact that it sits on the Charles River and in the city of I love so? Makes me crush on it even more. It’s Cambridge charm and chic mixed into one beautiful home, redesigned with the help of Sonja Haviland of Homepolish. My favorite part? That gorg fireplace. What do you love best about this stunning space captured by Joyelle West?

From HomepolishInside the famed Moshe Safdie-designed Esplanade complex in Cambridge, Massachusetts, the Subramaniam family had a 2,600 square-foot condo which hadn’t seen a redesign in nearly 20 years. Homepolish’s Sonja Haviland came in to take the apartment to the 21st century.

In the living room, Sonja kept the travertine flooring, but she updated the paint color to a light and bright white (Benjamin Moore’s Dove White), changed out the fixtures to LEDs, and switched out hardware finishes to stainless steel.

A beautiful stone fireplace inset makes the space feel even more luxe.

Shelving is built right into the apartment, but minimally decorated so as not to distract from the beautiful views of the Charles River.

Over the dining table, a sculptural chandelier adds some subtle sophistication.

Both the entryway bench and chandelier were already in the apartment, but Sonja repurposed and updated them. Against the travertine, it looks absolutely royal, like you’d find Marie Antoinette sitting there eating cake. Like she does… or did.

In the study, the walnut shelving was updated with a light gray trim. The conference table was swapped out for a Saarinen tulip table with a striking black marble top.

The master bedroom is immediately set apart from the rest of the home with a dark and moody vibe. How much more moody can you get than these moon printsNot to mention the incredible Philip Jeffries metallic paper weaves wallpaper.

This Victoria & Albert freestanding tub is quite literally the stuff of dreams. Pop in the Adele, throw in some bubbles, and grab some bubbles to drink… this is where you can find us after work. At least in our dreams.

His & hers sinks sit under faintly art deco medicine cabinets.

In the Subramaniam’s guest bedroom (usually used by their daughter), another Philip Jeffries wallcovering (this one an aqua textured silk) brings life and color. Not to mention, the whole room looks way too comfy.

Inspiration for an Intimate Dinner Party-Style Wedding

As many weddings become decidedly more intimate, with smaller guest lists and family-style settings, this inspiration shoot photographed by Kate Ignatowski couldn’t be more relevant to today’s bride and groom. It brings the natural, organic vibe to a Southern back porch reception, and includes thoughtful details like the stationery suite designed by Amanda Day Rose. Cozy up in the gallery right this way.

From Kate Ignatowski PhotographyThis photo shoot was set at Upper Shirley Vineyard, in Charles City, Virginia. The vineyard is set on the peaceful banks of the James River across from a wildlife refuge, making you want to slow down, sip a glass of wine, and enjoy quality time with your friends and family. This feeling was the inspiration behind our shoot.

We chose a natural color palette that complimented the blues and greens of our surroundings. And incorporated loose organic florals with flowing greenery in the ceremony design as well as the reception tablescape. There we sought to inspire an intimate dinner party feel on the extra wide, very southern, back porch. Here we imagine couples will gather, making unforgettable memories with their family and friends. One of my favorite elements was the greenery structure hanging over our reception table. The team worked so hard on this and it came together looking effortless. I also just couldn’t get over the Claire Pettibone gown. It was an absolute dream to photograph the intricate details and flowing fabric.

This Modern Wedding is a New Take on Pastels

If you think you’ve seen a pastel wedding done a million times before, allow me to introduce this California pretty. Jessica and Patrick designed a celebration that puts a fresh new look on those light, dreamy shades from the floral design to the hand-died ribbon and every detail in between. Take a peek at the gallery captured by Sposto Photography.

From Sposto PhotographyWe loved this unique and gorgeous wedding. The casino provided such an amazing backdrop to showcase all the fun details that were incorporated into Jessica and Patrick’s special day! This pastel color palette featured gorgeous hues of Pantone’s colors of the year styled beautifully by Janelle Wylie. Hand-died silk ribbons were custom made by Tono + Co. For this wedding and the gorgeous summertime florals by Lavenders Flowers brought everything to life. Everything was executed seamlessly by Green Apple Event Co. and photographed on film by Shauntelle of Sposto Photography.

A Perfectly Pastel Pink Wedding in California

Let us just start by saying thank you to Diana McGregor Photography, because without her talented lens we wouldn’t be able to see this stunning ceremony first hand. Add in coordination from Mele Amore Events and lovely Jenny Yoo gowns and you’ve got yourself one gallery that’s as good as gold (or in this case, pretty as pink). See it all in The Vault!

From the Bride…I always envisioned an intimate romantic, rustic, outdoor wedding/reception at a winery or ranch. The reception was held under a semi covered veranda with cafe lighting but open to the vineyards as the backdrop. Vineyard chairs with a mix of round and wooden farm tables with the most beautiful organic loose floral arrangements and green garlands set the romantic and rustic tone. The colors of the wedding included blush/pink tones with hints of gold and mint. The guest count was about 130 people, the perfect size to fit our venue!

Ray and I officially met at the wedding of our mutual friends in September 2013. We were both in the wedding party! I like to say after the wedding he Facebook stalked me! At the time, he was living on the east coast finishing up his dental residency so we chatted a lot as friends via Facebook. Funny enough we grew up 5 minutes apart in neighboring cities but never met each other until September 2013. Our cross country friendship turned into something more as months passed and Ray eventually moved back home in June 2014! We have been never been apart since! Ray proposed to me on our 2nd trip to our most favorite city- Paris on April 29th, 2015! It was the most perfect moment on the love lock bridge. Seconds after I threw our love lock key into the river, I turned to see him on one bended knee with the most beautiful engagement ring. Paris is very special to us, we have even gone back a third time in the last 1. 5 years. We hope to take many more trips to Paris in our lifetime!

After searching high and low and still not able to find the perfect venue, Europa Village and Winery was recommended by my mother in law to be. She had recently attended a yearly meeting hosted at Europa Village and Winery and knew we were interested in the Temecula wine country area as a possible wedding site. From the very first moment I stepped on the grounds of the winery, I fell in love with the natural beauty of venue. The central garden and Parisian feel of courtyard was perfect for cocktail hour and the reception area was exactly what I had been looking for. Europa Village and Winery also had a small bed and breakfast (Europa bed and breakfast) on a hill above the vineyard. It was perfect for our bridal party and family to stay at for the wedding weekend and also to host our rehearsal dinner!

My dress! Unable to buy my perfect dress off the shelf, I custom designed my wedding dress with an amazing dress maker for 9 months prior to my wedding. Mr. Seo and I met every 3 weeks and after months/hours of relentless hard work and changes, I wore the most perfect custom dress on my wedding day. I could not thank Mr. Seo enough for making my vision a reality. I was torn between two styles of dresses- romantic fitted lace vs a flowy chiffon skirt as well as hanging sleeves. Mr. Seo was able to let me have it all by making me a detachable chiffon skirt and detachable hanging sleeves to pair with my beautiful strapless chantilly lace dress with scallop top and bottom. I loved the hanging sleeve look so much, I didn’t detach them at the reception! Dessert is very important to my husband and I! We especially love to eat good desserts! We wanted to treat our guests to our some of our favorite desserts and drinks so we decided to have a donuts, coffee, cookies and milk station. This was a hit! The desserts/drinks flew off the shelf like a Black Friday sale! Between the two dessert stations, we also had a delicious 3 tier naked cake (almond champagne cake with raspberry bavarian cream) as the center of desserts sitting on a wine barrel.
