Organic Seaside Australian Inspiration Shoot

Honestly Connie Whitlock Photography had the best vacation ever. Why? Just look at this insanely gorgeous inspiration shoot she captured while on location in Australia. I mean, talk about destination dreams! A day awash with romance and organic details, we’ve got it all waiting for you in The Vault!

From Connie Whitlock Photography I recently traveled to Western Australia and had the opportunity to collaborate with some really talented people to create this beautiful seaside wedding inspiration. Being based in Colorado, I was really inspired by the beach and the rugged rocks against soft sand, a pattern which repeated across the immense shoreline. We kept the colors muted and natural, as to blend in with their surroundings. The stunning hand beading on the dress from Australian Designer Gwendolynne, stands out against the softness of the sheer layer which moved beautifully in the breeze. The delicate calligraphy and antique paper for the invitation suite created by The Little North Sea Studio really accented the organic feel of the shoot. The floral design by Katie Cooper for the bouquet, centerpiece, and aisle way focused on bringing in texture and depth. The colors of the cake from De La Rosa Cakes tied together the colors in the bouquet as well as the rocks around it. HAM Creative kept the makeup neutral in color and accented the brides features to have a sun bronzed look, and the loosely braided up-do kept the hair styled beautifully despite the breeze and mist from the waves. The ceremony benches from Heart Strings and Pretty Things were perfect for a seaside ceremony – casual yet elegant, and set the perfect tone for a barefoot affair. The sunset on the western coast cast a warm glow on everything, and really tied everything together.

Go ahead and pour yourself a cup of proper tea, because this afternoon we’re headed to The Cotswolds. Think that quintessential English charm and a garden setting straight from the storybooks. From Jessie Thomson Wedding Planning… Roman and Freda hosted an intimate summer celebration in the Cotswolds with their nearest and dearest – a bride with impeccable taste and the sweetest nature, Freda had a vision for her wedding day that was soft and pretty, perfect for the beautiful Manor House and garden setting. When creating the design plan I used scent as inspiration for many details – from wild berries in the florals, to fresh rosemary, lavender and rose petal confetti – even the bridesmaids crowns featured fresh herbs, all created by the super talented Georgia from Westwood Design.

We almost didn’t have the outdoor ceremony thanks to good old British weather and spells of rain all morning, but at the last minute it cleared in time and we put the brollies aside for a candle lit affair in the gorgeous grounds. Roman & Freda followed with a reception where guests were treated to sweet treats, refreshing drinks and canapés, before inviting them to watch a traditional Chinese Tea Ceremony in the late afternoon setting sun.

After the most delicious dinner served by the team at Barnsley House on long tables set with hundreds of rosemary & bay scented candles and flowers, the happy couple led their family and friends back into the gardens for signature cocktails, and cutting of the cake surrounded by sparklers. The cake was created by Faye at The Natural Cake Co who uses all organic natural ingredients – I styled this rose flavoured tower with Westwood Design using fresh figs, flowers and herbs.

The Bride wore the most gorgeous sparkling evening dress for the first dance a little later on, before The Wedding Smashers kicked off a great night of dancing and entertainment for the newlyweds until the early hours of the morning.

We love a good McKenna Bleu home tour and lucky for us, she is on the move again. This time setting up shop on the West Coast and her living room is the perfect reflection of all that ocean, sunshiny goodness. Mixing his and her styles to a T and incorporating a few of her favorite things ( travel, western influences and a good bar cart) this space crafted by Havenly and captured by Reality And Retrospect is sand, sea and sun infused.

My heart will always be as an East Coast girl, but I have to admit this new life here on the West Coast is pretty darn amazing! Our new San Diego apt. is the perfect mix of all of our favorite things, travel, the beach, a western feel and industrial touches. The mix of masculine and feminine features create a great balance of design making this a place we love and are lucky to call home.

Blogger Bride: Dressed by Jess Planning Inspiration with Gilded Lily Events

Hello SMP brides! It’s Jess from Dressed By Jess and since my last post there have been SO many exciting developments. Currently we’re designing our invites and I have to admit the biggest challenge was picking a color scheme. I didn’t want colors that were too loud, or overly feminine, but without giving too much away we’ve incorporated a soft accent color that is shockingly NOT pink.

About six months into the wedding planning process I realized I needed help pulling together the overall aesthetics for our wedding day. I had so many ideas and felt extremely overwhelmed about how I would focus on all the small details, yet still enjoy our wedding. I was referred to a few wedding planners and designers, but I connected most with Paige of Gilded Lily Events. Paige has inspired me with her creativity and has offered invaluable advice over the past few months. I am so excited to share some of her wedding planning tips below. Trust me, you’ll want to read them!

How do you help couples define their wedding style?

Defining your wedding style is definitely an on-going process. Just as your home décor or wardrobe has evolved over time, your wedding style will also grow from the day you start pinning until the day before you walk down the aisle. To help my clients figure out how they would like their day to look, I like to get to know them, and a little bit about their personal style as well as the story of their relationship. I ask for them to show me a few photos of what they are drawn to and then find the common thread for inspiration. I can usually pick out the key details that they keep going back to and then I will work with them to make their wedding day unique and personal.

There are plenty of ways to showcase your personality on your wedding day, but what elements are the most important?

I truly believe that love is in the details. However, couples can easily get weighed down by all of these “little” things. I like to remind brides-to-be that it is important to really zoom in on the areas that will make the most impact. If you think back on a picture of a wedding that you loved, you probably didn’t notice everything that was going on around it. Focus on what is the most important and highlight it. For an overall beautiful, cohesive look, I believe the flowers and paper goods are the most important elements. They carry the wedding day story and are usually the first and last thing that your guests will take note of.

Invitations are the guests’ first peek at the formality of the wedding along with the type of event being thrown. How can brides keep them creative, yet cohesive?

Save the Dates and invitations are the first connections that your guests will have with your wedding and it sets the tone for what to expect for your day. Before you send out your invitations, make sure you have a good idea of the color palette and key design elements that you are going to use throughout your wedding day. Custom invitations are the way to go and are not just a luxury item. Be clear with your graphic designer or artist of what you want and how they can work within your budget to make your invitation dreams come true.

Are there ways to save on wedding invitations?

There are a few ways to save on your wedding invitations including the type of printing method you choose. Letterpress and foil are both beautiful and luxurious but also come with a higher price tag. You can have the same look but choose to have your invitations digitally printed and try to limit the number of cards that you need for your suite. I would also recommend a custom stamp or digitally printed return address but splurge on calligraphy for guests’ addresses if you can!

What are some of the most unique details you’ve helped couples put into their weddings?

One of my very favorite details that I helped create for one of my couples was a custom cake backdrop. My clients had a history of writing each other love letters during their courtship and I knew that I wanted to incorporate that into their wedding design. We commissioned a calligrapher to hand letter their personal vows on a fabric backdrop that we hung behind their cake at the reception. It was such a statement and was both meaningful and beautiful! Today, they have a piece of it framed in their new home together.

What is your biggest piece of advice for brides looking to incorporate special details without breaking the bank?

If there is anything that you can do to make items “double-duty”- do it! For example, favors can double as escort cards and ceremony flowers can be moved to the reception bar to add a special touch once you have said “I Do”.

Modern Austin Wedding at Prospect House

Weddings are like a page-turning novel to me. Each detail of a couples’ special day is like an enticing chapter I can’t wait to devour. Where did they meet? What did they love? Well, when I can figure all of that out by a single day alone, it’s pretty special. So watching a love story like this one unfold in the prettiest of ways (hello planning from Bird Dog Wedding and gorgeous imagery from Heather Curiel) might just be my favorite thing ever. See all the reasons why in the VAULT.

From The Bride…Neal and I met as random roommates in an apartment in Boston’s South End. We loved living in New England, but in need for a little adventure we moved south to Austin, Texas on a whim! Austin has been an amazing city to live in, and not long after we arrived Neal (with the help of our puppy, Brady) proposed! We couldn’t wait to show off our new city to our friends and family, so it was only fitting that we invite everyone down to Texas for our wedding.

Picking a venue in Texas was no easy feat. Our style is more modern than Texas-chic, but we wanted our guests to get an authentic Texas experience. Enter: Prospect House. We feel so fortunate to have come across this new venue in the Hill Country- the vibe is very modern-art-gallery-meets-Texas-barn and it was perfect!

Once the venue was set, all of the other details just seemed to fall into place. We kept the vibe very natural and elegant, playing off of the modern, clean lines of the venue. Even picking the dress came easy- I ended up with the very first one I tried on (despite trying on what seemed like hundreds of others)!

Including our friends in our big day was really important to us. Neal and I wrote the entire ceremony, including our own vows, and we had a very dear friend, Mike, officiate. He was ordained online, and having him there made the whole day feel so much more personal and special. We opted for a very small bridal party, but several of my girlfriends served as my “something blue” and sat up in the front row as a good omen.

Because our guests were all coming from out of town, we hosted a big welcome party at Terrace 59 on Congress, we made welcome bags full of Austin-made treats and a map of the local area highlights. Most of our guests made a long weekend out of the trip and took the time to really explore the city, which was exactly what we had hoped they’d do! There’s so much to see.

We wanted everyone to get the most out of their Austin experience, including a meal from a food truck. Dock and Roll drove out to Prospect House on Saturday night to deliver late-night lobster rolls and homemade chips- it was the perfect way to cap off an incredible evening and a great nod to our New England roots.

With the entire day behind us, my advice to future brides is that you opt for a “first look”. Neal and I were set on not seeing each other before the ceremony- he wanted to see me for the first time as I was walking down the aisle. But we had some minor snafus on the big day and by the time we arrived at the venue I knew that the only way I’d calm down was to see him. He’s my person- that’s why we were getting married in the first place. I had our photographer grab him for a quick hallway hug, and it was all I needed to feel excited and ready for the ceremony. The rest of the day was absolutely perfect!

Cozy + Romantic Mountaintop Washington Wedding

With “it’s wild beauty, hazy views, and graceful simplicity,” the historic Vista House was the perfect canvas for this beautiful couple to plan their happily ever after. The Bride transformed the old stone house with untamed flowers, antique chandeliers and a rich color scheme. In the end, the Bride and Groom’s day was “a perfect dream, a summertime winter wonderland, and absolute heaven.” See all the beauty from Megan Robinson in The Vault!

From The Bride…We spent September 5, 2015 in heaven. Enveloped in the clouds, surrounded by the people we love most and in the arms of each other. Our mountaintop-wedding day took place on the coldest and most magical Spokane, Washington summer day imaginable.

Chas and I knew that the historic Vista House, a rustic stone structure perched on the summit of Mount Spokane, would be the ideal setting for our intimate wedding. We saw it’s wild beauty, hazy views, and graceful simplicity as the perfect canvas for our happily ever after. We envisioned the empty, old building, built lovingly out of the mountain’s stone by the CCC in 1934, coming to life as the host of our elegant, untamed party. It was the prefect representation of us.

Chas and I met on our first day of kindergarten but, despite growing up together on a small island in the Puget Sound of Washington State, it wasn’t until years after we’d left that we fell in love. Back in our hometown during a summer break between college terms we realized that all the things we have in common, and all the things we don’t fit perfectly together.

Between the two of us our interests are vast and varied. As an interior designer and stylist I love beautiful things, art, flowers and the feeling I get when I’m in the midst of a creative project. Chas’ love of the rugged outdoors, fishing, hiking and challenging himself make him passionate about his career as a fisheries biologist. There are also so many things we both love: our love of the changing seasons, friendly competition, spending time with people we love, our darling pets, enjoying nature, all things food, exploring new places and, of course, each other. We wanted our wedding to hit those notes and to truly and uniquely represent us individually and together as future husband and wife.

We let our imaginations run wild during the wedding planning process. After being lucky enough to secure the venue (the State of Washington had just decided to allow the Vista House be rented for events such as ours!)! We had to find amazing vendors who were just as passionate and crazy as us. It took little convincing to get the creative people we worked with on board. Photos were taken, maps and diagrams were drawn and slowly and surely our lavish mountain affair was lovingly planned.

The week leading up to the wedding the ever-changing forecast kept us on our toes and we all were praying for a clear day. The morning of September 5th was miserably cold and wet. From the grand windows of the Historic Davenport Hotel my bridesmaids and I could see that our beloved mountaintop had been devoured by a swirling mass of clouds and rain. Even so, everyone’s hearts had never been lighter. We put on our gowns, gathered our flowers, and delightedly consented to the fact that no matter how much hairspray we used, our hair was going to frizz. Up on the mountain preparations were well underway, rental trucks came and went, handmade garlands of mountain cedar were hung, heaters were roaring, the wedding platform my dad built was assembled, the wild floral centerpieces my mom sister and I made were set upon the tables and a generator buzzed away lighting the chandelier that Chas and I had found on one of our frequent wedding antique shopping trips. Last minute decisions were made and plans were improvised due to the storm. Our hero vendors donned thick coats and braved on.

As we drove up the mountain the frigidly rainy day became a misty wonderland. Wispy threads of disappointment in the weather were replaced with awe. We found ourselves in a heavenly dream and were enchanted by it. The Vista house was bedecked and glowing, lively with the celebration and humming with the joy of our family and friends who pitched in to make our vision come to life. When Chas and I saw each other for the first time, dressed to be wed, in the middle of that scene, we felt the electricity of our love of the love around us.

In a burst of merriment we decided to hold our ceremony outdoors after all and piling throw blankets high we invited our guests to make themselves cozy during our vows. Chas gallantly wrapped me in his tuxedo jacket mid way through the ceremony when he saw me tremble from the cold and the warmth of our sprits continued throughout the evening. We dined on the most delicious food and drink, seafood hors d’oeuvres made with Dungeness crab Chas’ family caught, halibut and lamb, blackberry spritzers, champagne and our favorite Lemon Chiffon cake. The Vista House remained wreathed in the finest mist that day, that broke once only for the faintest moment to show a glimpse of a lake far in the distance and lifted just as the night had hit full swing. Frost clung to the windows but inside we celebrated merrily. It wasn’t how we imagined our wedding to be, we couldn’t have planned for that misty magic. We were blessed with a day that was a perfect dream, a summertime winter wonderland, and absolute heaven.

Ethereal + Bohemian Destination Wedding in Southern Spain

This dreamy destination in southern Spain is the only thing getting me through the winter blues—the golden hour lighting alone is bright enough to make my vitamin D levels spike. And when you add a beautiful Bride and Groom, bohemian design details, a picture-perfect setting and a surprise flash mob dance, this gorgeous day is sure to bring a smile to your face. See it all from Le Hai Linh in The Vault!

From Ambrosia WeddingThe sun is sparkling in the ocean close to the beach of Almeria where Magda and Roman are getting married. She’s from Poland and he’s from Germany. Both united in the Spanish region Almeria, where the heart of the sun is beating. It is said to be the sunniest place in Europe and therefore the perfect location to say yes.

The wedding took place in a newly restored little church – white, innocent, enchanted. Close to the Natural Park Cabo de Gata. On one side a flamingo natural reserve lagoon, on the other side the never ending mediterranean sea. In the middle of so much nature stood Magda. Wearing a white light dress from Charo Ruiz Ibiza, complemented with a mantilla (a cloth of lace), as the bridal scarf for the church ceremony. Just before it started Roman gave his bride a bunch of flowers. A sunflower, Magda’s favorite flower accompanied by eucalyptus leaves and branches of olive trees, like it was just picked from the wild field next to the church. That was Magda’s big dream and Roman fulfilled it even before the main event started. The first tear of joy found its way on Magda’s cheek.

The sun on its highest point welcomed the guests from all over the world: Spain, Germany, Italy, Sweden, Poland and Venezuela. A multicultural mix of people came together to celebrate Magda’s and Roman’s decision of sharing a life together. A priest held the ceremony in Spanish, German and Polish. Family and friends read prayers of intercession, and one of Magda’s sisters sang and to a spanish guitar. As the ceremony ended, the celebration began. Several cars took the guests along the beach to a boho café on the top of the fishing village Isleta del Moro.

The decoration fitted perfectly to the landscape of Almeria. Garland made of eucalyptus, olive tree branches and fresh oranges and lemons for the wood tables. The wedding favor, small succulents, could of course not be missing. Lace dream-catchers, eucalyptus leaves, honey comb pom poms and fairy lights were hanging off the trees. Fitting to the colors of the mediterranean style also the stationary was designed in olive green and golden calligraphy. The optic was repeated in the labels of the water bottles, wedding favors and church booklets. On several levels the guests did not only enjoy the breathtaking panorama view of the mediterranean sea and the fishing village, but also a large selection of spanish delicacies such as tapas, grilled fish and exquisite spanish wine. The sweet-table was full of self made sweets created by the bride’s mom. The naked chocolate cream cake was decorated with succulents. The guest book was a collection of postcard of Cabo de Gata on which the guests should answer the question: What does Roman still not know about Magda, what does Magda still not know about Roman? The sun changed its soft golden light to a warm orange one. Just as it kissed the horizon, Magda and Roman went to a ledge (Playa Los Escullos) for a photo shoot. This is where these beautiful pictures have been taken. Both standing of the strong ledge, looking at each other, and holding their hands. They feel happy and infinite.

Back at the party they got each a pin of vodka to drink – Polish tradition. Then the music started and suddenly everyone ran to the dance floor and surprised the married couple with a flashmob dance choreography. It was a delight to watch them dance. Madga and Roman thought they couldn’t be happier at this moment. The natural scenery, the sunny weather and the mind-blowing view over the sea made the whole wedding just perfect. When you dive into their story and see the honest pictures of this unforgettable day, you will get caught by the feeling to get married right now!

Elegant Pale Pink Upstate New York Wedding

Want in on a little secret? The Big Apple may claim most of New York’s glory but head north a few hours and there’s a whole other wonderous world. And these pics by Greg Finck are all the pretty proof you need. This rustic yet elegant affair, planned by Bella & Co., showcases beautiful Skaneateles Lake and these lovebirds that just can’t stop smiling. Fall in love with them – and all of NY – in our Vault here!

MustWatch_swash-01

From Greg Finck… Sydney and Brian both live in New York City but have spent most of their childhood holidays around Skaneateles Lake, in upstate New York. It was natural that they decided to organize their wedding in this wonderful area, where amazing historical mansions are around the Lake. This is the first time I traveled to upstate New York, but I must say I have been totally seduced by the beauty of the landscapes and backdrops.

Sydney and Brian’s elegant day was perfectly organized and designed by Jenna, from Bella & Co. She was the sweetest person to work with, and she kept a huge smile on her face all day despite strong rain that came to change some of the organization during the summer day. Sassafras Flowers did an amazing job for flowers, especially for the bride’s and bridesmaid’s bouquets. As a photographer, shooting such nuances of pastels were just a dream. Maureen Higgins designed an amazing suite of stationery, totally matching the floral design and color palette of the day.

Even though it rained hard, the sweet couple still decided to keep their ceremony outdoor, behind that giant tree, sheltering them and their guests from that moody weather. After braving the mud for couple pictures, we all headed to Angela’s Vineyard to end the day with a wonderful dinner!

Glam San Francisco City Hall Wedding

Scrap everything you think about a typical City Hall wedding, because this day is completely next level. It’s what happens when a bride has been planning the Big Day since around age 11, and brings on amazing talents (looking at you Bash Please and This Love Of Yours Photography) to bring the vision to life. The Vault is chock-full of ballroom moments fit for a princess, not to mention a bridesmaid confetti toss that’s kind of the best idea ever.

From The Bride…Our vision for the day was Ouést Coast Whimsy – a classy West Coast event with splashes of fun, like a streak of neon, funfetti cake, surprises for the guests and each other. Jason is an emotional guy, which is one of the things I love most about him, so he teared up several times on the big day. It wasn’t until the ceremony was over and we had walked out of the rotunda where we had a couple seconds to ourselves before the wedding party even made it to us, and we just looked at each other and burst into ugly tears. I think we were holding it in during the ceremony, but we couldn’t control it anymore and we just cried, then laughed at our ugly crying faces. Seconds later we were hugging all of our bridesmaids and groomsmen – it was the best moment of the day.

When I moved to San Francisco 3 and a half years ago I happened to see City Hall and knew instantly I wanted to get married there. Jason and I actually moved to the city on the same day and reconnected from undergrad. The city became a very special place for us as it was where our love began – and there is no place more breathtaking that the inside of City Hall.

As a gift I gave all the bridesmaids gold bracelets that had the latitudinal and longitudinal coordinates of where we first met. Jason’s groomsmen got to wear any black tux. His gift to them were The Two Guys’ Bow Ties where the city they met at or that meant a lot to them were engraved on the wood.

I am in love with love and have been obsessed with weddings since I was a child – literally subscribed to BRIDES magazine at age 11. So I always dreamed of a beautiful wedding, but what was most important was always who I would be standing up there with – and then I met Jason. It was most important to me to have elements that reflected us, and specifically him, throughout the day. I wanted to it be very clear that it was a wedding for us and not just a traditional event that everyone puts on. I wanted to surprise and delight him throughout the day.

When planning your own wedding just remember there are no rules. You can do whatever you want to make the day your own and honestly I think people appreciate it more when the wedding reflects the couple, and not a bunch of rustic Pinterest photos.

Our photographers are amazing. I loved loved loved working with them! Something I didn’t really think about beforehand that made a huge difference was having 2 photographers instead of 1. This way they are able to capture so many more moments and the same moments from different perspectives. They were both so easy going and willing to do anything we wanted. I would recommend them to everyone.

Rose Gold & Blush Wedding at the Ojai Valley Inn & Spa

I’m a big fan of weddings that feel thoughtful designed yet entirely effortless. And when a bride, alongside her team of vendors, is able to pull off both simultaneously it’s cause for celebration. Jen Huang photographed these Ojai Valley Inn nuptials complete with a Monique Lhuillier gown that’s basically everything. (Two words: detachable skirt). Follow me to The Vault for so much more.

From the Bride… Ramin and I envisioned a wedding weekend that would celebrate the warmth and love that surrounds us. As native Californians, we sought a setting close to family and friends but far enough away from daily life to feel like a weekend escape. After some searching, we found what we were looking for in the Ojai Valley Inn. The natural beauty of the Inn kindled our imaginations at first sight. The Inn’s iconic oak tree provided a shaded, intimate spot that was perfect for the ceremony. We also experienced one of Ojai’s magical “pink moment” sunsets. After we visited with my parents, we knew we had found our venue.

The first stop was shopping for the dress. I never imagined that I would find the dress; rather, I assumed there would be several that I’d want to bring home. Also, wedding white is most certainly not my color. I visited nearly every designer in nearly every major city. After having waited until the last possible moment to make my decision, I went back to Monique Lhuillier to buy one of the first dresses I wore. However, I timed this final visit to coincide with their most recent trunk show, just in case there happened to be something new that caught my eye. And the first thing I saw when I walked into the showroom was a gorgeous cap sleeve gown with high-low removable skirt. It was classic, but also fashion-forward. I tried it on and did a little twirl and curtsy. It felt so comfortable and fun. My mom knew it was the dress. She gave me a big hug and said “mazel tov”.

Since childhood, I’ve loved design and details, and so naturally I had countless ideas and was incredibly excited — though admittedly overwhelmed — by the opportunity to design our wedding. For better or worse, I’m an optimizer, which means that I review every possible option before making a decision. I was spending countless hours on Pinterest and Instagram.

Carissa Jones-Jowett, a designer with immaculate taste and boundless creative energy, helped me pull together a vision for the overall wedding design. In San Francisco, we often hear about so-called “unicorns”, technology companies of immense value. Carissa is a real, live unicorn. She took Ojai’s natural and seemingly perfect beauty, and made it even better. She helped us create a simple, elegant, gorgeous, and textural spring-flower arrangement and table decor that included gold lanterns, candles, cream linens, rose gold flatware and Heath ceramics dinnerware. She even employed some special magic to bring my favorite flowers, peonies, into season early, just in time for our wedding. We brought the indoors outside with casually luxurious lounge vignettes and a fabulous gilded bar. Our guests spent a lot of time in the lounges, and even more time at the bar, enjoying our favorite signature cocktails — bellinis, cucumber gimlets and whisky cocktails.

More about the details… Beautiful calligraphy — a hobby my mother and I share — was essential to the design. The talented Anne Robin lent her hand to our invitation suite, programs, placecards and menus, which were pressed with my favorite color, rose gold. Ramin and I also wrote a personalized, modern version of the ketubah (the Jewish wedding contract), which was hand lettered. My mom designed and hand prepared the personalized welcome bags, which included Ramin’s favorite candy (jelly beans) and Ojai’s famous pixie tangerines.

The speeches were a highlight for all. We were lovingly toasted and roasted. My mom shared priceless, practical wisdom from 39 years of marriage. My dad, a rocket scientist, found a way to connect us to the cosmos, and talked about the infinite ways he hopes we, as a couple, can make the world a better place. He didn’t miss the chance to insert a few of his classic jokes. My maid of honor and Ramin’s best man followed with speeches that provided the perfect mix of sweetness and hilarity. We were overwhelmed by love and emotion.

DJ Swon inspired the most fantastic and high energy dance party under the tent, which continued on to an after party that lasted well into the morning. Our friends and family are still talking about it!

The experience was documented beautifully by Jen Huang, who also photographed the wedding of our dear friends Laura and Nes the year before. Jen’s images captured the emotion and context of the day in the most wonderful and warm light.

The best (and easiest) decision I made was working with Shannon and Vikki of All You Need is Love Events. They were first and foremost friends, and their guidance was my north star throughout the entire planning process. The wedding weekend was completely seamless, and I was able to let go and enjoy our wedding without worry (which I’ll admit is not typically my strong suit). I always could trust that the weekend was in their incredibly capable hands.

I’ll never forget the look on Ramin’s face when he turned around and saw me in the dress for the first time before our ceremony. From that moment on, we shared the most amazing day together. From our first look, then under the chuppah holding hands, surrounded by everyone we love, and finally having a blast at a great dinner and dance party. It wish I could have captured and held on to every moment from that amazing day, and I’m so grateful for all the people that came together to make it a reality.
