See Why This Same Sex Palm Springs Wedding Made History

This wedding made history — not for being the chicest, though it certainly could, but for being the first same sex wedding at Thunderbird Country Club. And with Celebrations of Joy planning every detail, the first same sex wedding at the Palm Spring Country Club also might be one of the coolest ever: two handsome Grooms, Gaelic touches and an alfresco reception under palm trees. See it all from Michael Segal Photography in The Vault!

From Celebrations of JoyThe wedding of Michael and Matt took place at the beautiful and historic Thunderbird Country Club in Rancho Mirage, CA. It was the first same-sex marriage at the club which counts Lucille Ball & Desi Arnaz as founding members. Their vision for their wedding was an elegant chic dinner/ dance party showcasing the desert landscape where Michael’s parents have a home. Wedding florals incorporated many of the popular desert succulents with a vibrant pop of orange, contrasting beautifully with the grooms’ deep navy tuxedos.

Michael, an American from LA and Matt, an Irishman, fell in love in London where both men were pursuing their careers. Touches of Matt’s Irish heritage were incorporated into details of their wedding. Exquisite Desserts created a Guinness flavored cake and empty Guinness beer cans decorated their Just Married golf cart that featured a sign in Irish saying “The Newlyweds”.

After a fun and intimate ceremony and romantic dinner with dancing to the Lucky Devils Band, Michael and Matt had one more surprise up their sleeve: an 80s style prom complete with a starry night themed photo booth, a balloon drop, and boutonnieres and corsages for all their guests. Michael and Matt did a quick change into 1980s classic powder blue and dusty brown tuxes and were crowned King and King of their own prom by comedian Drew Droege doing his impression of Chloe Sevigny.

See Why this Boho Baby Shower is Number One(sie) in Our Hearts

Forget traditional games, this baby shower takes party activities to a new level. Roasting coffee, painting onesies and nibbling on the coolest black & white themed dessert spread all masterminded by Adorn Event Rentals + The Bright Lights Events. Yeah, this is the kind of shower we would beg to get an invite to. See what all the fuss is about with the full shower captured by M&Him Photo & Video in the VAULT.

Raelene John is a good friend and also Joryli Romijn’s business partner with The Bright Lights Events. Upon starting to create and plan for the baby shower I wanted to plan something really special that incorporated significant items that Raelene really loved.

Raelene loves neutrals and intimate settings with her loved ones. With that in mind, I wanted everything planned to be made with intention and purpose. Raelene is expecting a baby boy and the baby color she had wanted for her boy was grey. So we wanted to make sure to incorporate greys instead of the usual baby blues, but we still wanted to bring in a splash of color to bring out the neutrals.

We decided that the color palette would be white, greys and creams with splashes of navy. We aimed for a style to include a lot of natural elements with a girly flare, and decided to go with a modern bohemian motif because it gave us more room to play with the natural elements like cacti, succulents, etc…

In order to create a space that felt intentional with every detail, we used specifically placed plants for every section of the home, as well as a décor plan that would not only provide a sense of ease and comfort, but also had functional applications for every guest.

Daniela Schwartz from Adorn Event Rentals touch and design was in everything! She handmade the macramé backdrop where Rogue Florist added touches of greenery. She had also hand made the birch chandelier over the table. Daniela created a mini macramé hanger for baby succulents that were placed right beside the backdrop macramé. They helped serve as décor but also as a fun game prize that 4 guests won by the end of the shower!

We wanted a lot of the floral and greenery pieces to be incorporated all throughout the event. At the front entrance, guests were greeted by a hand-written calligraphy welcome sign by Sunshine Ink Co. which was framed with garland around the door. Inside, there were touches of soft pinks from the garden roses, lots of greenery and tables decorated with elegant floral arrangements. We also DIY-ed hand dipped/dyed napkins navy to help bring touches of navy into the room.

It was a warm spring day outside! For those in need of a spring-summer alternative drink, we created a “Tea Pop” section. The Tea Pop syrup is made from a vibrantly colored brewed herbal tea that’s been reduced to a concentrate. Add some ice, sparkling water and a sprig of garnish, and there you have it: the perfect summer drink!

We not only wanted the Momma-to-be to feel celebrated and loved, but it was also important that she stood out from the rest of crowd. We asked Kerry from Rogue Florist to create a beautiful floral crown to do just that for her. She truly looked the part of a graceful garden princess!

There were plenty of memories made that day, but we will never forget the wonderfully surprised look on Raelene’s face as she arrived as the honored guest! Once she was able to collect herself, it was a joy watching her experience and discover all the little tailored details made with her specifically in mind.

Anyone who knows Raelene knows that she is an avid dessert fanatic! We had Chocolate and Connie create a dessert buffet to incorporate Raelene’s favorite desserts. Chief amongst her sweets obsession are donuts and macarons (she’s even taken a class to learn how to make them!). Connie did a fabulous job at streamlining the desserts within the theme by adding grey stripes to the meringues and using grey icing on the donuts. No detail was left unchecked as even the macarons were earl grey flavored – Raelene’s absolute favorite!

Sweets always pair nicely with a warm and inviting cup of coffee. So it’s only natural that Raelene herself is in a love affair with the steamy beverage. She drank so much coffee before she was pregnant that her doctor still allows her to have 3 cups in exchange for her usual 7. We knew we had to bring in Jack Coffee Bar – a slow-brew bar- to make perfect pour-overs for our coffee-loving mama-to-be and her guests. This also proved to be an entertaining bit of interactive fun during times where guests may start feeling a little antsy.

It was a beautiful spring day, so we wanted to use the whole venue space! For those who wanted to enjoy the outdoors we placed the onesie painting station and Jack Coffee Bar out in the backyard.

The Onesie Painting Station: We all know onesies are a necessity when having your first baby. It’s amazingly easy how quick a new mother will run through them! We wanted for Raelene to have a personalized onesie from each of her friends and family to put on her own little one. It was practical and thoughtful thing to do for Raelene, but was also a fun opportunity for the girls to get creative!

For those who wanted to stay indoors or sit with their coffees snuggled up on the couch, we had 2 fun games and sheets for them to doodle and play with.

Mommy or Daddy Game: Victoria Senges Design Co created a personal mommy or daddy game which allowed for the guests to laugh and guess who did what! They had to answer some questions like “Who is a better cook?”

Damian Rolando Sheet: Victoria Senges also created a sheet where every guest would write a personalized note for baby Damian to be put into a scrapbook, and used as a delightful memento for both momma and baby to view for years to come.

We really wanted Raelene to leave with some special memories. We created a sign that said “We Love You Damian Rolando” for each one of her loved ones to take a photo with for a personal keepsake!

Favors were created with one of Raelene’s favorite quotes for each guest to have as a keepsake and as an encouragement.

Our goal was for Raelene to come out of her baby shower feeling loved and supported as she enters into a new season of motherhood! We loved watching her interact with the different details that was special and represented her. We had the funnest time celebrating the momma-to-be!

Katie drew inspiration from the neutral color palette of the mansion, allowing for the swaths of muted tones in the bouquet created by Sue Gallo Designs to take center stage.

Madison is resplendent in a gorgeous gown by Sash & Bustle. Her tousled waves by Tahnee Marie and soft make up by Honor Beauty are only matched in sparkle by the gorgeous heirloom jewelry from Corsivo Calligraphy. Who took Katie’s vision of timeless romance and gave our love letters a vintage angelic feel. Our intimate setting is simply devine..our bride…utterly refined…we are completely smitten.

Even Rain Couldn’t Ruin This Pretty Pink Wedding

No Bride dreams of rain on her wedding day, so when rain almost put a damper on this Bride’s dream of an outdoor springtime ceremony, her team of bridesmaids and mother stepped in to keep her positive! Then — a split second after she saw her Groom for their first look, her concerns melted away! See how the whole beautiful day came together, thanks to Maison Meredith Photography, in The Vault!

Rustic

From The Bride…Before we even started planning our wedding, we knew that we wanted two things for our day: a relaxed and fun family affair! It was very important for us that the wedding all take place at the same location so that our guests could transition seamlessly from the ceremony to the cocktail hour and then to the reception. Bryan and I both grew up in Wisconsin and have a deep love for the Midwest. Although neither of us were raised on farms, we both came from small towns and felt like a barn venue would best represent our Dairy State roots.

We wanted the style vision of our day to be countryside elegance, the perfect marriage of a rustic venue filled to the brim with elegant details and touches. Our color palette reflected the season of spring, highlighted with various hues of blush, rose, and pink. Peonies, a sure sign of spring and my favorite flower, adorned the bouquets, along with garden roses, ranunculus, and double tulips. Amanda from Alluring Blooms truly brought our floral vision to life with very loose and natural centerpieces, a floral runner for the head table, and beautiful chandelier accents.

To add to the theme of elegance, I wanted small gold touches everywhere, from my jewelry and shoes, to the gold pillars in the centerpieces, to the gold chandeliers, to the gold chalkboard signs. When it came time to choosing my dress, I knew that I wanted something different. I ended choosing the dramatic Blakely from Maggie Sottero, a fit and flare gown with lavish embroidery, sparkling gold beading, and a scalloped illusion neckline. It was the perfect dress, better than I could have ever dreamed of and fit the theme of the day completely. After finding the dress, I searched endlessly for the perfect pair of earrings to compliment my dress. After spending hours and hours, I finally stumbled upon the MEG jewelry line, sold exclusively at Marah’s Elegant Bridal. The candlelight earrings, created with Swarovski crystals and freshwater pearls, were the perfect combination of vintage flair and elegance.

We wanted to include our families as much as possible and did so with little touches. My “something old” was Bryan’s baptism bonnet, passed to me by his mother, and wrapped the stems of my bridal bouquet as I walked down the aisle. My “something borrowed” was a vintage hand mirror, an heirloom lent to me from Bryan’s grandmother. Our ceremony included letters written from our parents, as well as a tree planting ceremony that represented the growth and history of two families becoming one. Lastly, members from both of our families provided some of our favorite treats and goodies for our a dessert bar.

My favorite moment from the day was, hands down, our First Look. Since early that morning, it had literally rained all day long. I had always dreamed of having an outdoor ceremony, so when we had to move the ceremony indoors at the last minute, I was trying my best to stay positive. My amazing bridesmaids and mother did all they could to distract me from the rain, but deep down, I knew I was disappointed. The second I saw Bryan for our First Look, all of my concerns faded away as I realized that nothing else mattered because that was the day I was going to marry my best friend. It was pure bliss, and I will always remember that moment.

I can honestly say that our wedding day was the most magical and amazing day I could ever imagine. Surrounded by our closest family and friends, it truly was the best day ever. My biggest piece of advice to future brides would be to hire vendors that you truly trust. Create a dream team that knows and understands your vision and trust them. I never wanted to consider the fact that it could rain on our wedding day, but it did. Instead of letting it ruin our day, I put my trust in my amazing team of vendors and they came through for us 110%. Our wedding coordinator, photographers, florist, even our DJ, put in so much effort to make our day special and I will never be able to thank them enough!

Sweet Elegance at City Hall is Always a Wedding Winner

We first met these two yesterday, on their caffeine fueled tour of San Fran, and today we get to see them again, as they say “I do” in a city hall elopement that reminds us just how utterly romantic and lovely intimate celebrations can be. Decked out in a dreamy Jenny Yoo gown and holding a Laura Miller Design bouquet in soft shades of blush, peach and cream, this Bride became a Mrs. and Jasmine Lee captured every sweet and silly moment – see every second in our Vault right here!

City Hall

From the Bride… Dennis and I have always wanted our wedding day to be simple, elegant and intimate. This vision came true when we were married at City Hall in San Francisco on our 15th anniversary as a couple. In our hearts, we had long been husband and wife but saying “We do” in this beautiful place made it official in the most magical way.

I was primarily inspired by the romantic architecture and sheer elegance of City Hall. I knew that we could keep it simple and the setting would do the rest. I chose an ivory tulle gown by Jenny Yoo and embellished it with a belt borrowed from my witness of honour, who also originally wore it on her wedding day. My fluffy bouquet was artfully assembled by Laura Miller Design and showcased peonies, dahlias, ranunculus and garden roses. Laura even managed to get some colour on Dennis’ classic black suit with a blush rose boutonniere wrapped in white ribbon to match his pocket square. My hair and make-up were fashioned by the very skillful (and sweet) Christina Chen. Most importantly, these memories couldn’t have been captured and shared with our family and friends back home without Jasmine Lee, a tiny girl with enormous talent in her craft and an impeccable eye for detail.

After all was said and done, with the help of our friends both old and new, our wedding day was exactly what we wanted it to be – perfect and unforgettable.

There’s a New Backstreet Boy in Town and His Nursery is Off the Charts

Nick Carter (yes, the Nick Carter of Backstreet Boys fame) + his gorgeous wife Lauren just welcomed baby boy Odin into the world and his nursery? Platinum record status. They worked with interior designer Stephanie Avila of Rockabye Mommy to craft a classic meets adventure themed room with some seriously killer bedding by Tori S. Swaim of New Arrivals Inc. See the full tour of this magical space captured by Julie Cate Photography in the VAULT.

From Logan Williams of New Arrivals, Inc. Backstreet’s back alright, with a new backstreet boy, and his name is baby Odin! Nick and Lauren Carter welcomed their baby boy, Odin, to the world a little over a month now, and New Arrivals, Inc. was excited to help with the baby bedding for their flawless nursery!

Walking into baby Odin’s sophisticated nursery, we couldn’t help but feel like we were on cloud nine. We love everything about this space!

The design of Odin’s room is classic, yet adventurous with antiqued hot air balloon wallpaper and several pieces of elegant furniture.

Also in the room you will see touches of industrial design via the light sconces, with Edison bulbs, and wood and metal wall shelving. Tori Swaim and Interior Designer Stephanie Avila worked with Lauren Carter to create this sweet, calming nursery.

The details in this space are all unique and fitting. The nursery shelving is with filled with keepsakes and sweet baby items including, succulents, books and building blocks to give the nursery personality. The large letters and unique lighting create a focal point just above the crib. The nursery features lots of warm neutrals and soft textures throughout.

New Arrivals, Inc. mixed many different fabric colors and styles to create a custom look for baby Odin. Lauren was extremely involved in the design process, and chose each bedding item shown in baby Odin’s crib. The rest of the Carter’s Calabasas home is designed with similar style and colors, so the nursery is a perfect complement to their beautiful abode.

We are completely smitten with the final results of this fabulous nursery! Warm and cozy throughout, we hope Odin loves this space as much as we do!

An Event Designer Planned Her Own Wedding + It’s Fall Perfection

While there’s no doubting the talent of this Bride (she’s a designer at Rafanelli Events after all), one look through Ivy & Ellis Photography pics and you’ll be wishing you could call her your friend as well as your wedding industry insider. From start to finish, her big day radiates warmth and love; add in Winston Flowers talent, and it’s a fall fantasy brought to life. See all the autumn beauty in our Vault right this way!

From Ivy & Ellis Photography… Sometimes the entire wedding day can go by like a dream of a feast, with course after course besting the last, until all you are left with is laughter, mirth and wide-eyed joy. This was the experience of Courtney and Michael’s wedding day, where gaiety and autumn swagger paired up to provide that perfect blend of masculine and feminine, lush and autumnal, and continual harmony – all of which the best weddings seem to have. Here tucked in the dense forestry just miles below Portland, Maine, is the Hidden Pond Luxury Resort, where this magical wedding unraveled amongst a tightly knit gathering of Courtney and Michael’s closest family and friends.

With such adornments as vintage Czech crystal Schreiner earrings by M.Flynn and a truly stunning Anne Barge gown, Courtney looked the epitome of bridal elegance on her wedding day. Michael could hardly contain his pride and joy upon seeing her for a first look in the beautiful garden courtyard at Hidden Pond Resort. Dressed in classic Joseph Abboud attire, Michael was suave and poised going into the ceremony, ready to exchange vows with the love of his life.

The ceremony proved to be stunning itself as it was decorated by the Creative Director of the much-loved classic Boston florist, Winston Flowers. Courtney, who works as an Event Designer herself at the renowned Rafanelli Events, contributed to the elegant event design and decor for both ceremony and reception.

All in all, it was a magical wedding day experience that was unique in it’s warmth, elegance and beauty.

A Traditional Garden Wedding Gets a Glam + Whimsical Update

This gorgeous bride had a vision: a traditional garden wedding with a whimsical twist. With chiavari chairs, David Austin roses and silver candelabras, the traditional elements began to take shape. Lush amaranthus and ivy, a naked cake and tulle bridesmaids’ dresses completed the vision. Head to The Vault to see it all from Evoke Photography!

From The BrideOur traditional wedding was located at Peppers Craigieburn Resort, a historical estate property surrounded by lavish manicured gardens, golf coarse and vintage horse stables. The ceremony was held in the garden surrounded by wild flowers, roses and a lush tree under which we took our vows. I (the bride) made a breathtaking entrance at the ceremony, down the steps of the old house and into the garden. The reception was held in the Carrington function room, with grand French windows behind the bridal table, adorned with twinkle lights to create a fairytale atmosphere.

The entire day was perfection from start to finish, there was on-location accommodation for all of our bridal party and guests, which gave us the opportunity to spend a number of days relaxing with our family and friends and admiring and exploring the peaceful countryside surroundings.

My vision for our wedding was a balance between traditional elements such as the tiffany chairs, David Austin roses, silver candelabra centerpieces and mirrored accents, and more whimsical features such as draped Ivy and Amaranthus, a naked style cake with a hand crafted wired topper, tulle bridesmaid dresses and a detailed lace wedding gown.

Overall we were happy with every aspect of our wedding and all our guests commented on how smoothly the day ran. Reflecting back, navy bridesmaid dresses and soft, pastel colours of the bouquets were the perfect choice as they matched the venue flawlessly making for some beautiful photography.

A Pink Garden Wedding Straight From the Storybooks

The vision behind this wedding? It’s something we can totally get behind. “We wanted an intimate, laid-back and elegant wedding in a romantic garden…most importantly, we wanted our guests to have fun, eat good food and dance the night away,” said the bride. They flawlessly pulled off all the above, and Mint Photography captured every bit you simply must see.

From Mint PhotographyMichelle and Allen hosted the perfect garden themed wedding on a beautiful spring day for their closest friends and family. Michelle was beyond a stunning bride in her Monique Lhuillier ceremony gown. They incorporated soft delicate colors and florals, fun games and traditions to engage their guests, and their sweet pup Cooper who was the picture perfect prop. River Oaks Garden Club was the perfect setting for their day, it is one of the most enjoyable and beautiful locations we’ve photographed at, and we absolutely loved it!

From The Bride… We wanted an intimate, laid-back and elegant wedding in a romantic garden. We chose decor and furniture that were simple, natural and a little rustic to add some soft touches to our wedding. Most importantly, we wanted our guests to have fun, eat good food and dance the night away.

We decided not to exchange wedding gifts and just wrote each other cards on the morning of. When I went shopping the week before our wedding, I couldn’t resist and picked up a few pairs of socks for Allen and his groomsmen. I decided to personalize it by sewing a heart onto Allen’s sock that said “Love you forever” in pink thread. The fabric I used was the extra fabric cut off from my reception dress.

I couldn’t decide on a hair piece and waited until the day before our wedding to experiment making a floral hair comb. I picked up two bouquets of ranunculus and figured if I can fashion a comb out of it then great! If not, no big deal, I would just go without. The morning of my wedding, my MOH and I managed to make three hair combs for each of us in different sizes while giggling and eating breakfast. It was an unplanned DIY project which turned out to be so fun and memorable. Somehow our floral combs matched the boutonnieres my florist made perfectly and turned out to be such an unexpected surprise!

I woke up on our wedding day feeling overwhelmed with happiness and excitement. It feels surreal that after months of planning and anticipation, our day is finally here. I was at home with only my bridesmaids and our dog. I sat in bed and teared up at the thought that the moment I’ve been waiting for for so long is here and it’s real. Another favorite is walking down to see Allen during our first look. My heart was filled with enormous amount of love and bliss. I still remember the rush of emotions that took over when Allen turned around, my eyes were filled with happy tears.

Advice for future brides/grooms
My advice for other couples is to embrace the unexpected. Don’t lose sight of why you are planning this wedding. At the end of the day, you get to marry your best friend. Nothing should take away from that.

10 Design Pieces Every Millennial Couple Needs On Their Registry

When One Kings Lane invites you to host a brunch highlighting their gorgeous registry products, you say YES without question. Because the fact that you can actually um, REGISTER at OKL and then carefully choose pieces that will build your forever home together is basically our idea of complete and utter genius. The only tough part now is choosing the perfect pieces!

The Style Me Pretty Bedroom. A neutral bedframe that you can dress up or down as the mood fits, something with a bit of gold of course, add linens that are soft and cozy and beg you to dive right in. From those neutrals, you can select artwork that will stand the test of time and a few accessories that you love NOW. Not that you think you’ll love in a few years.

The Style Me Pretty Office. We love the idea of a gender neutral look for the office. The chair and the artwork then become it’s most treasured accessories. Whether you go modern with something in lucite, traditional with tufting and floral fabric or industrial with an iron stool, investing in a neutral desk means that you can have fun with your office space for years to come.

The Style Me Pretty Entryway. Whether it’s a hallway or a wide open space, the entryway is one of the most important “rooms” in the house. A perfect bench and a mirror, a great place to hang hats, a beautiful chest and a gorgeous gallery wall are all important pieces that will go a long way in setting the tone for your guests. First impressions, after all, are everything.

Style Me Pretty Dining. While the size of your home may change with time, a great table should be able to be used in different rooms, in different ways. My first small white dining table is now used in a corner of our home, decked out with photos. Our second is used as a craft table in our playroom. Buy a great, timeless table and you will be able to use it for many years. Same goes for chairs that can later serve as extra seating, flanking a fireplace or entryway or just built out into a mix and match set for your new larger space.

The Style Me Pretty Linen Closet. There’s something so perfect about a closet filled with crisp, clean linens tucked away in your home. While we always love a white-on-white look, don’t forget a few classic stripes and varied neutrals for good measure. When extra guests come to town, you’ll never regret having a few beautiful linen sets ready to go at the drop of a hat.

Whether you opt for a statement rug or a beautiful bookshelf to hold all your treasures, design a room that merges form with function and feels completely “you”.

A Blush and Gold Garden-Inspired Wedding Fit for a Spring Princess

This Galveston wedding is so gorgeous, you’d never know there were a few hiccups along the way (including a wardrobe malfunction and flower girl breakdown). But from Laura Hooper Calligraphy‘s wooden signage to the Bride’s pretty pink peep toe pumps to the classic reception, this day is all kinds of pretty. Feel all the love, courtesy of Courtney Leigh Photography, in The Vault!

From The Bride…Peter and I were married on Good Friday, in a little beach town perched precariously on the sand barrier island of Galveston Texas. Galveston is decorated with character and charm. We said our “I do’s” in front of the ones we loved the most in a quaint little chapel called the Lyceum that has weathered hundreds of storms. We were told while venue hunting, that the Lyceum had actually floated off its foundation during a hurricane. The Lyceum was restored to its original location and re-anchored. To us, this symbolizes how marriage can drift off its foundation too but both individuals have to work to reroot the marriage foundation through faith. We were sold. My now husband, is also a complete history buff so it was only fitting that the Hotel Galvez known as the “Queen of the Gulf” caught our eye to host the wedding reception. The Hotel Galvez is a symbol of Galveston’s restoration efforts following the Great Storm of 1900. It is uniquely beautiful, historically rooted, majestically resilient and maybe a little bit haunted.

My Galvy girls and I boarded the trolley to the church, a few wardrobe malfunctions and flower girl break downs later, I was ready to roll. I walked down the aisle with my paternal grandfather’s wedding band attached to my bouquet and married the man of my dreams. After the ceremony, my husband and I were dashing to our get away car and I felt a tug on my veil that sent it whirling around into the sky high above our heads, maybe to serve as a little reminder the man upstairs and my grandpa had a perfect view for our wedding day.

The spring vibes played well in to my garden theme. The floral arrangements were full of fresh blooms, my colors blush and gold colors were light and airy, and the cocktail hour was held on the hotels private lawn called the Oleander Garden. We danced and ate goat cheese lollipops and red velvet cake from my hometown bakery. We laughed, had an anniversary dance off to Last Dance by Floyd Cramer, drank shark bites inspired by our pup Clark, and were whisked away to the Tremont House in a white Rolls Royce cloud. What a whirlwind. It was both romantic and a little bit wild, like the best parties are.

Times of great anticipation also come with times of great sadness. Shortly after setting a date and picking the venue, my mother was diagnosed with Stage III Ovarian Cancer. Looking back now, we embraced wedding planning in efforts to bridge the gap between a great celebration and the harsh reality of surgery, treatments and waiting. Of course, the planning piece came with its share of hiccups, headaches, and an excessive amounts of midnight oil; but it was a labor of love. My creative juices were flowing as the count down grew closer. My inner accountant put the kibosh on a few outrageous ideas. I snapped photos of every detail that inspired me. I think my phone hit its max photo capacity the first few months we were engaged. I drew inspiration from all things wedding; blogs, styled shoots, photography sites, Pinterest, Etsy, letterpress, friends weddings, family heirlooms and traditions, and childhood dreams. Almost a year later, my mother has weathered the cancer storm and is in remission! Ah, it’s been a year of tears, fears, smiles laughs and a whole lot of love. How soon is too soon to do a vow renewal, kidding.
