Last year, my daughter was invited to the cutest valentine's card making party. To say that she (who happens to be the queen of pink) loved it, is like the understatement of the century. So that got us thinking about a card making party...grown up style. With signature cocktails and pretty crafts and sweets all in a row. Here are some of our best tips for really pulling off...

When we posted this adorable polka dot inspired nursery the other day, we were flooded with requests for tips on how to make the fabulous Tassel Baby Mobile. Well, as luck would have it, the mommy of the cutest little girl in the world, Ivy, was around to give us the 411. And I'm pretty sure we're all going to...
As we go into our snowy weekend, I am craving those easy Summer days where backyard entertaining took center stage. So if you're lucky enough to live in a place where a day like this - an engagement party actually - is totally doable then I'm officially jealous. If not, bookmark this bit of pretty from The One Day House, as you'll want to use it as...
My mom threw the best birthdays. Even when I had chicken pox and had to cancel my party, she found the 3 kids that had already had them and invited them over for a little cake and ice cream. Well as it so happens, the mom of the cutest little boy ever also knows how to throw one heck of a party with this animal themed, crafting party. With photos by...

Listen up kids! T minus 2 and a half weeks until Valentine's Day. And despite what my hubby might tell you, a good V-Day does take a teeny bit of planning. Because no one wants to feel like their gift was purchased in a rush during lunch hour (if that IS your mojo, I would suggest going big to make up for it - I'm talking to you Tait Larson). So here is your guide to gifts that will surprise even the most...
What's a good Anti-Super Bowl party without a good Pom Pom. One that you can waive at your friends for taking champagne jello shots or that you can use when your favorite half time performer manages 6 different costume changes! These are a cinch to make - seriously taking less than 15 minutes - and are too stinking cute for words. 1 section of newspaper (like the sports...
Okay I lied. I said that the tacos were my favorite thing from our Anti-Super Bowl Party. But really, it was these little beauties. Because every person that put one of these cakes into their mouth had a smile the size of Texas. Plus they were a total snap to make using boxed cake mix and pre-made frosting. Cheat-cut in its finest form.
This isn't our first time at the Champagne Jello Shot rodeo but it was certainly the most adorable. Because we gave these little gems a Super Bowl inspired makeover - sort of. Pouring them into tiny beer mugs and keeping the "froth" on top, the result was the world's most adorable and chic party "cocktail."...
So girls. And boys? If you are really wanting to cheat-cut your way thru a party, (ehem...like our Anti-Super Bowl Party) these little apps are the easiest, most delicious thing ever. We made ours with Niman Ranch pre-made pulled pork and biscuits straight out of a can. Sure you can roast your own pork butt but why bother when there are such delicious options perfect for this application.
These little tacos were my favorite part of our Anti-Super Bowl Party. Not only were they absurdly delicious (I ate six), they were also beyond adorable. We went with ground turkey, pico, guacamole cream and some hot sauce, but you could try any variety - from bacon and eggs to vegetarian. The real showstopper is the tiny baked taco shell, the fixins are just the happy on top.
My obsession with teeny tiny food began and will always end with the genius that is Peter Callahan - who takes mini food to a whole other level of wow. Well, for our Anti-Super Bowl Party, we channelled our own inner Peter Callahan and crafted teeny tiny lovelies starting with this 3 bite burger. Peter's happen to be smaller, but when it...
