I got quite a few emails about this gorgeous table setting that we featured a couple of day ago, so I wanted to post more pictures from the absolutely beautiful wedding!

Vicki and Phong’s wedding was held on Saturday June 28, 2008 at the Villa Istana Uluwatu, Bali.
All of their guests dressed in white for the celebration, adding to the overall elegance and style of the affair.
Vicki let me know that In Buddhist tradition it is extremely good luck to have stripes in the sky. As you can see from the pictures they were blessed on their wedding day!!

Today, I thought that we could look at a few of the weddings from our Table Settings feature a few days back! Although all of the tables got great responses, this wedding shot by Jose Villa had tons of interest…

Not surprisingly, the forever talented Beth Helmstetterplanned this gorgeous event. Filled with pretty, simple touches like the lovely birch vases, the candles dripping from the trees, the lace wrapped candles…every element is romantic and seemingly effortless.
Stay tuned, we have more weddings on the way today! In the meantime, check out Jose’s blog…major eye candy!

Whitney and Jonathan the husband and wife duo behind Brown Sugar Design are simply amazing. Between them they have around twenty years of experience doing everything and anything related to design. Brown Sugar designs are truly unique, and even better, they’re eco-friendly! I always fall head over heels in love with invitations that are good for the environment and still completely chic. You will simply adore their design blog . It’s so chock full of inspirational ideas. I’m going right over there to cast my vote to help them win their latest competition.

I have to say, I knew from the minute I received Erich and Debra’s save the date, that this wedding was going to be good. They had a vintage Palm Beach postcard replicated with their save the date printed on the back side. It was absolutely adorable…

When the invitations came, I knew instantly that the wedding would be filled with cute personality and fun little touches. They were designed by ephemera press with pale yellow and slate ink letterpressed on pretty white card stock. Check out the wording, it’s the best part…

IF you can’t see the text, it reads:
Debra Ellyn Brodsky and Erich Beeton Shigley / Together with their families / Invite you to share in the celebration of their marriage / As Debra becomes a Red Sox fan and Erich learns to use the dishwasher…(it goes on with the date and time from here)
How cute is that? I always encourage brides to think creatively when it comes to their invitations, but this is the first that I have actually received where they did just that!
If the save the date and the invitations weren’t cute enough, Debra had the fabulous Stephanie of Couture Maps design these adorable maps of the sculpture garden where the ceremony took place.
(Quick Note, there was a typo on the original post. Betsy Dunlap was the calligrapher but Stephanie crafted these maps)

Don’t you just love??? In the words of Rachel Zoe…Bananas!!

I was honestly blown away by Erich and Deb’s wedding (which is a big statement coming from a wedding blogger). It was jaw-droppingly gorgeous…and yet totally unpretentious and sweet.

I wish that we had a picture of the guest bags that Deb crafted. They were little, silly felt bags with various animal cut-outs on them and a tiny custom button attached to the corner. It was the simple, but fun touches like this that made the whole affair seem so fun and approachable!
I have pictures of Debra’s gorgeous stationery suite coming up!

What I loved the most about Debra and Erich’s wedding was that around every corner was a little surprise. When we arrived at the ceremony, there was a bucket of flip flops for guests to don so they didn’t fall on the gravel road leading to the event. We were served pretty cocktails as we waited and were gifted these fun parasols that Debra and her girlfriends had decorated with bright yellow paint!

After the ceremony, we headed back to the cocktail hour and reception where we were welcomed with a great Calypso band and incredible hor’dourves. There was a photo booth, complete with props, that guests could snap pictures of themselves and there were even two pinatas that Erich and Deb broke into later that evening. Such a cute touch to a formal affair!

Today we are featuring Debra and Erich’s chic Palm Beach wedding that I attended over the Summer. This wedding was everything that I could have imagined and more. From the perfect weather, to the gorgeous yellow color palette, it was absolutely beautiful…

This wedding was all about the details. From Debra’s perfect hair accessory to the detailing on her dress, every inch of the affair was thoughtfully designed. You can only imagine how excited I was to see each layer unfold. I have so much more to come, so definitely stay tuned!

I am in awe of the sister team,Traci and Kelly of Rufus Felix in Dallas Texas! They use everything imaginable from nature’s available variety, including pods and vines and other goodies. You might remember they did the amazing vintage chic design for my best friend’s wedding. I love that they make it a point to offer charitable donations as part of their growth effort. If you’re in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, be sure and visit Traci and Kelli at Rufus Felix…and their two adorable shop dogs who greet you like a long lost friend!

I have been waiting to post this real wedding for literally…MONTHS. It’s actually the wedding of two dear friends of mine, Debra and Erich and I have to say, it’s one of the best weddings I have had the chance to attend. It was beautiful, of course, but that wasn’t the best part. It was so filled with personality and style, with perfect whimsical details sprinkled throughout every corner, that you couldn’t help but want to be married all over again. I was literally jumping for joy the entire evening!

The wedding was held in Palm Beach in this incredible sculptural rock garden, tucked away on this little grass opening. The insanely beautiful altar was made of thick bamboo that was literally dripping with the most spectacular florals and draped with pretty ribbon that kind of floated in the breeze. The guests were all seated closely, making the whole affair seem incredibly intimate and warm.
I have many more pictures and details to come!

I wanted to share a little bit more eye candy and thoughts from the oh-so-talented Laura Dowling of Interieurs et Fleurs. Her works is utterly fabulous and I am so so so thrilled that Laura stopped by today. After her first Paris report, I thought it couldn’t get any better…I was completely wrong!

The French approach blends the inherent beauty of flowers, gathered simply from the garden, with the personal vision and passion of the floral artist. It is this rapport between nature and artist that gives the French bouquet, whether rendered in the haute couture or garden style, a distinctive personality, flair, and emotional impact. This season, be sure to look for inspiration from the garden and Farmers’ Markets, in historical styles, and from fashion, to create your own masterpieces in the French style.
