Sedona Bride: Cathedral Rock Wedding, I

We’ve featured Katrina and Andrew’s gorgeous work many times before on Style Me Pretty.  Each wedding they send us seems more amazing than the last. Today is no different. Amazing. Gorgeous. Awesome. Stunning. Breathtaking. Adjectives just don’t come close to describing this wedding (or these photographers).

Before we show you the ceremony, let’s start with a few so-so-cute pre-wedding pics…

Wedding Invitations by Chewing the Cud

We are all about the Little Black Book Blog this week here on SMP, so we are showcasing the work of our Little Black Book members like mad!

I am sure that you all know about my love affair with Chewing the Cud (that sounds funny). Well, with this particular design, takes my love to an all new level…

From Viola…

Earlier this year, Iris and Travis asked for my help to come up with a concept for their wedding. After hearing their story of how they met, I knew the big idea was born!

Iris and Travis first met at a bar called “Butter”. Butter: a deceptively simple-looking golden lump that adds a sweet, nutty aromatic smell and unctuous flavor to the most uninspired foods and awakens the senses. For centuries, butter has been the gourmands faithful ally, the secret ingredient to good food, a symbol of good living.

Iris and Travis are both food lovers so we thought it apt to take this basic ingredient as our inspiration to concoct the beginnings of a delicious wedding.

Save-the-Date tea towels also included the text: “Party till the cows come home.” These tea towels were the first announcements of the event so we wanted them to make an impression. Not only were they relevant to the butter concept, I wanted to design something that was also eco-friendly and reusable.

The invitations came from the chewing the cud signature collection. The willow tree icon was indicative of their outdoor location and a symbol of joy. These invitations were letterpress printed on 100% tree-free paper using soy-based inks.

More to come from Chewing the Cud!

The gorgeous Mexican and Spanish influences that seem to permeate every element of this wedding are just incredible. From the amazingly colorful tablescapes, to the vibrant flowers and even the flags hanging along the reception tent. Every detail is so alive…so beautiful.

Oh…and those awesome invitations, they were crafted by yet another Little Black Book member, Bird Dog Press.

Marcy and Matthew’s Damask Dream, III

Here are the last lovely pictures of Marcy and Matthew’s wedding taken by The Shooting Gallery. I loved the contemporary feel that was kept throughout with the repeated delicate damask pattern…

Matthew and Marcy's Damask Real Wedding

This wedding definitely does have that fairytale feeling to it. The ‘mood’ of the wedding photos in the alley balances out the ultra feminine details that are present in all aspects of this wedding! I think it was just wonderful, thank you again to Tifany of Gourmet Invitations for sharing this with us!

Real Wedding: Andrew and Darcie, II

I am nuts about today’s featured wedding…which is weird, because I am normally drawn to white-washed, kind of simple wedding styles. But, there is just something about the color behind this beautiful affair. It seems so full of life, so full of love…

More to come!

I know you’ve been waiting for more of Marcy and Matthew’s gorgeous black and white white wedding, sent to us by Tiffany of Gourmet Invitations. So without any further ado…

Matthew and Marcy Damask Real Wedding 2

That cake is stunning. The damask pattern as well as the fantastic flower centerpieces lend a very feminine feel to this wedding and the solid black lines are powerful enough to give a masculine balance to the mix. Very pretty! I still have more to come, so check back!

Real Wedding: Andrew and Darcie

All week, in honor of our new Little Black Book Blog, we are celebrating the amazing talent of those vendors that we have hand selected to be a part of our Little Black Book. Today, is all about color…vibrant, incredible color. I fell head over heals for this wedding, sent to me by one of our newer members, the wildly talented photographer, Jenna Walker

This GORGEOUS wedding was held this past September at their family’s home in Eldorado Springs. The amazing flowers, with that “edited” fresh from the garden style were crafted by Claudia Paterno. And that incredible dress? It’s a Junko Yoshioka (wow) dress that was found at the store of another of our Little Black Book favorites…Anna Bé!

So much more to come!

This wedding is pure yummy. It was held at the organically certified Barr Mansion in Austin, Texas. The couple actually met while they were both in flight school, thus all arms of the military were present! More to come from Stella Alesi!

If ever you are at a loss for the perfect color palette, and you live in California, just take a look around.  I know you’ve heard “inspiration is all around you” a million times … but, seriously … it really is.

For Tara and Sarkis, all of the essential elements for a fabulous reception were right there, just waiting to be embraced.

This delightful outdoor wedding reception, took place at the Still Waters Vineyard and Winery in Paso Robles, California. All you have to do is take one look at this place, and you’ll be filled with tons of great ideas! The astonishing colors of the countryside set the all-important ‘color palette’…the gorgeous greens, the chocolate browns, the touches of rust and red.  It’s absolutely beautiful.

Military Wedding by Myrtle and Marjoram, II

We are celebrating a lot here on SMP today. First, the launch of our Little Black Book Blog…filled with even more inspiration and gorgeous new work by our favorite Little Black Book members.

And second, we are celebrating Veterans Day and the work that our troops all over the world are doing for our country. Military inspired weddings almost always give me the wedding chills…there is just something about the formality of the uniform, the strength and beauty behind the ceremony. It’s a perfect love story of sorts. And this wedding, sent to me by Ingrid of Myrtle and Marjoram is just that…a perfect love story.

myrtle and marjoram

I have to say, the flowers from this wedding are really what take it to the next level…those peonies, I mean come on. They are STUNNING. It’s not terribly surprising considering that the amazingly talented Nicole Ha crafted them! We have more to come, so stay tuned!

Real Wedding by Allyson Magda Photography, I

Along with Theresa, we also have another completely fabulous writer working behind the scenes on our Little Black Book Blog…readers, meet Eddye! Eddye has planned some of the most beautiful weddings you’ve ever seen…my two older sisters and my own! Yep, you guessed it…she’s my mom. She just happens to be one of the best writers I know, and since she’s been my “editor” since the 6th grade, I figured it was about time she got a little recognition. Without further ado…

* * *

There are a million things to think about when you first start planning your wedding!  Right??

Sometimes, though, if you’re really lucky, you’ll find: #1 the perfect ceremony site, #2 the perfect reception site, #3 the perfect photographer … and voila!  Half the battle is over!

Today, we’re showcasing one such celebration…and one such photographer.

Allyson Magda San Luis Obispo Ceremony

Tara & Sarkis were married in Southern California at Mission San Luis Obispo de Tolosa, an incredibly historic church that is steeped in ceremonial tradition.
