The color palette was intentionally soft, layered, and sun-washed, drawing from a blend of European countryside tones and the natural warmth of California wine country. A foundation of cream and white was complemented by pale yellow as a focal hue, with additional accents of blush, muted peach, and soft lavender woven throughout. Rather than feeling overly structured, the palette was expressed through florals in a painterly, organic way, allowing color to feel natural, dimensional, and effortlessly cohesive.

[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]
The overall design was inspired by a whimsical European aesthetic reimagined through a California lens, with a focus on creating something that felt both elevated and approachable. The ceremony took place beneath the estate’s iconic oak tree, which became a central design element, softly adorned with airy, draped fabric that moved effortlessly with the natural surroundings. A white aisle runner was introduced to ground the space and create a clean, refined contrast against the organic landscape. The vision centered around garden-inspired florals with movement and variation, designed to feel as though they were naturally growing up and around the ceremony tree. Lush arrangements in layered tones framed the aisle and base of the tree, creating a sense of depth and romance while still feeling organic and unstructured. This same intentionality carried into the reception, where long tables were layered with soft, textural linens, delicate place settings, and an abundance of candlelight. Hand-torn menus were paired with loosely draped, gauze-like napkins and warm-toned flatware, creating a setting that felt both refined and relaxed. A mix of glassware and softly glowing votives added dimension and warmth, allowing the tabletop to feel collected, inviting, and quietly luxurious. These softer elements were thoughtfully paired with subtle industrial touches from the venue, including the surrounding barrel room, creating a refined juxtaposition throughout the evening. Every detail was intentionally designed to feel effortless rather than overly styled, resulting in a romantic, light-filled atmosphere that felt timeless, personal, and distinctly non-traditional.

[field title=”Proposal Story”]
Kevin was convinced they wouldn’t have any free weekends over the summer just for the two of them, so when Jenna’s best friend from law school suggested a couples trip to Napa, she assumed he would say no. To her surprise, he was all in. In the weeks leading up to the trip, Jenna and her friend exchanged texts about outfits and plans, and she didn’t suspect a thing. The night before they left, the couple had dinner with her parents, and somehow, only her dad knew what was coming. The morning of the trip felt a bit chaotic. Jenna received a last-minute work assignment and spent most of the drive trying to finish it, completely distracted. When they arrived at the winery, they were told their reservation had already started, so they went ahead without their friends. As soon as they arrived, she finally sent off her assignment and was able to enjoy the moment. The property was stunning, and they were led to a quiet gazebo overlooking the lake. With a few moments alone, Kevin proposed. It felt completely unexpected yet perfectly them, simple, intimate, and set against a beautiful backdrop. They spent the rest of the day wine tasting and stayed overnight in Yountville, soaking it all in, before later celebrating with their closest friends and family.

[field title=”Food & Drink”]
The food and drink experience was thoughtfully curated to feel both elevated and personal, blending refined presentation with meaningful touches. Set among the estate vineyards, guests enjoyed wines produced on-site, thoughtfully crafted and aged in the very barrel room where the reception was held, creating a beautifully immersive and place-driven experience. Dinner featured a seasonal, Italian-inspired menu, highlighted by a bolognese dish that was especially sentimental, as it was based on Jenna’s mom’s recipe, adding a deeply personal layer to the dining experience. The bar program complemented the overall aesthetic with a selection of signature cocktails and estate-grown wines, presented on soft, textural signage that aligned with the design of the day. Each element, from the menu to the cocktails, was intentionally styled to feel cohesive, effortless, and reflective of the couple’s love for good food, wine, and gathering with the people closest to them.

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]
The floral and décor design was intentionally organic and garden-inspired, with a focus on movement, variation, and a soft, layered color story. A curated mix of refined, seasonal blooms, including garden roses, ranunculus, and other premium varieties, was thoughtfully selected to create depth and a painterly effect rather than something overly structured or repetitive. Each arrangement varied slightly, allowing the overall design to feel collected and natural, while still elevated and cohesive. These softer elements were balanced with textural layers throughout the space, including airy draping installations and warm, ambient lighting from brought-in wagon wheel chandeliers. At the table level, hand-torn paper goods and softly draped linens added a layer of detail, creating a tactile, romantic feel. From the ceremony through the reception, every element was designed to feel intentional yet effortless, resulting in an immersive environment that felt refined, personal, and distinctly non-traditional.

[field title=”Wedding Cake”]
The wedding cake was designed as an extension of the overall aesthetic, featuring soft, sculptural draping that mirrored both Jenna’s gown and the overhead installations. The tiers were finished with delicate, hand-crafted sugar flowers, thoughtfully chosen to reflect the same floral varieties used throughout the day, creating a seamless connection between the cake and the surrounding design. Set against a base of vibrant, garden-inspired florals, the cake became both a focal point and a continuation of the larger design story. The combination of clean structure, soft draping, and detailed floral work resulted in a look that felt refined, artistic, and deeply cohesive with the overall vision.

[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]Music played a meaningful role throughout the day, with a live string quartet setting the tone for the ceremony. The processional featured “All My Love” by Led Zeppelin, while Jenna walked down the aisle with her father to “Invisible String” by Taylor Swift, a song that held special significance for them both. The ceremony concluded with “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” by Stevie Wonder, bringing a joyful and celebratory energy to the moment.
The reception continued with a live band, creating an energetic and immersive atmosphere for the evening. One of the most memorable moments came when Jenna’s dad joined the band on stage to play guitar, adding a personal and unexpected touch that made the celebration feel even more special and reflective of the couple’s close connection with their family.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]
A defining element of the day was the iconic oak tree at Cass Winery, where Jenna and Kevin chose to exchange vows. The tree became more than just a ceremony backdrop; it served as a meaningful symbol woven throughout the entire wedding design. From the very beginning, its silhouette was incorporated into the invitation suite, setting the tone for what guests would experience upon arrival. This thoughtful detail carried through to the day-of paper goods, including menus, matchboxes, and signage, creating a sense of continuity and intention across every touchpoint. By grounding the design in a place that held such visual and emotional significance, the couple created a celebration that felt deeply personal and effortlessly cohesive.

[field title=”Special Detail #2″]
As the evening transitioned, the celebration took on a more playful, high-energy feel with a late-night after-party that felt distinctly personal to Jenna and Kevin. Jenna changed into a second look, a soft butter-yellow gown with a delicate, light-catching shimmer that moved effortlessly with her on the dance floor. The silhouette felt both modern and effortless, bringing a fresh, fashion-forward energy to the evening. Guests gathered for espresso martinis, late-night bites, and a DJ-led dance floor that carried the celebration well into the night. Cowboy hats made an appearance, adding a playful, unexpected touch and a nod to the couple’s personality. The shift from a refined dinner to a spirited after-party allowed the celebration to feel layered, intentional, and reflective of both the couple’s style and the joy of the day.
