SMP Newsletter – 09/22/10

September 22nd. 2010 by Abby Larson | Filed Under | 2 comments

For our very first newsletter we went straight to the creative ladies at Posh Paperie for a clever (and super doable) DIY that will really kick things off right. We have a serious soft spot for all things vintage-chic and this crafty table number idea totally fits the bill. Captured beautifully by Jackie Wonders, this is one DIY that could work for countless occasions. Swap out the numbers for letters and you get another personalized touch perfect for a birthday, anniversary, or shower. No question this one will have you looking smart.

Supplies:
- House Number(s): found at a hardware store or online for more vintage options
- 2 screws
- screwdriver
- vintage books

To Assemble:

Step 1: {prep} Remove pages from vintage book
Step 2: Place the House Number in the middle of the cover of the book
Step 3: Screw the House Number into book cover using screwdriver
Step 4: Repeat with other numbers to coordinate with number of tables at event
Tah-Dah! So easy right?!?

Annnnddd, there's a bonus… you already have all the supplies you need to create a perfectly coordinated menu stand. Just use the inner pages from book and fold each page in half towards the center of book. Next, lay it down so the pages "fan" out. Finally, just pop your menu right in the middle of the book page "fan" and you are D.O.N.E.
