The colour palette is heavily focused on white and cream with accents of almond, light, and dark green. Leigh wanted a neutral palette that complemented the surrounding olive groves and cypress trees.

From the planner: An intimate vow renewal surrounded by rolling hills and tall cypress trees. Guests are seated on simple wooden and iron chairs, arranged along a stone path leading to a natural ceremony space framed by lush white and green floral arrangements. The setting feels peaceful and romantic, with soft blooms blending beautifully into the rustic, timeless landscape. Guests mingle by the sparkling water, surrounded by views of rolling vineyards and olive groves, with the golden light of the setting sun casting a warm glow. Rustic wooden tables are topped with trays of local cheeses, cured meats, bruschetta, and olives, alongside chilled prosecco, Aperol spritzes, and crisp white wines — the perfect start to an evening of celebration. Long tables are set under the open sky or beneath strands of soft, glowing string lights, surrounded by stone walls, olive trees, and the golden hues of the landscape. Tables are dressed with simple, elegant linens, fresh greenery, and clusters of white and green flowers, letting the natural beauty of the setting shine. As dinner winds down, the celebration moves inside to the Bella Vista Room, where a DJ sets the tone for an unforgettable after-party filled with dancing, late-night drinks, and joyful energy that carries into the early hours.

[field title=”Proposal Story”]
Craig and I got engaged on Christmas Day in 2015—just weeks after I’d moved from South Africa to join him in a small town in Canada. We spent that Christmas in Banff, and honestly? The engagement felt like the easiest “yes” of my life, even though everything else about that season felt uncertain and new. We had just uprooted our entire lives. New country. New town. New everything. So when it came to planning a wedding, we made the practical choice: a small, intimate ceremony. We told ourselves we’d have the “big celebration” later—maybe in a year or two, once we’d settled in. But life happened. One year became five. Five became eight. And somewhere along the way, I quietly let go of the idea that we’d ever have the wedding I’d dreamed of. It felt like the moment had passed, like we’d missed our window. And then one day we just looked at each other and said, What if we still do the big wedding? It snowballed into a 3-day destination wedding in Tuscany, Italy, with 30 of our favorite people.

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]
My gown is the Iris Gown by Newhite from Blush and Raven. The moment I put it on, I knew. It felt like me—elevated but not fussy, romantic but not overdone, timeless but still fresh. The pleated tulle A-line skirt gave me that dreamy, ethereal look for the ceremony, but I loved that I could remove it (we separated it in the alterations) for the reception to reveal a more fitted silhouette for dancing. Two looks, one dress—it was perfect. But what made it truly special was using matching fabric from my skirt overlay to create my daughter’s custom flower girl dress. We kept it a secret from Craig—he hadn’t seen her dress before the wedding day either, so he had a ‘first look’ with her too when she walked down the aisle. Of course, he was in tears!

[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]We didn’t have a traditional wedding party—we had something better: a guest list where every single person played a role in our love story. Instead of bridesmaids and groomsmen, we invited everyone to wear green —a nod to Tuscany’s rolling hills and the fresh start this celebration represented.[/field]
[field title=”Groomsman Attire”]
Linen suit from Club Monaco. We wanted him to feel like himself—relaxed, timeless, and perfectly suited (pun intended) for three days in Tuscany. The linen felt right for the setting: elevated but breathable, classic but not stuffy.

[field title=”Food & Drink”]
Food and drinks were classically Italian. With a pizza party for the welcome party with prosecco and rosé. The wedding dinner included two pasta courses and a beef entree. A display of pastries and sweets was displayed during the dance party!

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]
Florals were shades of white and cream with accents of greenery.

[field title=”Wedding Cake”]
The couple opted out of cake and shared a moment pouring over the champagne tower together!

[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]
We loved the process of choosing songs together! Many of our favourites are from Wild Rivers because we both equally love the band and have seen them a few times live. Groom’s Entrance: Thinking ‘Bout Love by Wild Rivers, WRABEL Bridal Processional: Imagine (Acoustic) by Ben Platt Recessional Song: Never Better by Wild Rivers Grand Entrance: Feels So Close by Calvin Harris First Dance: What If It’s Us by Wild Rivers

[field title=”Special Detail #1″]
The Three-Day Format: We didn’t want a single-day event—we wanted an experience. Three days gave us space to actually connect with our guests, have meaningful conversations, and savor every moment without the rushed timeline of a traditional wedding. Each day had its own vibe: welcome dinner, ceremony day, and a final day pool party and barbecue —we didn’t want to leave.
