The color palette for Amanda and Ben’s wedding was a refined, organic interpretation of the Northern Lights – soft, romantic, and quietly ethereal. Anchored in muted sage green, warm ivory, taupe, natural greens, and layered neutrals.

[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]
Amanda and Ben’s wedding was a celebration of love thoughtfully designed to feel both elevated and deeply personal. Inspired by the aurora borealis—the same natural wonder under which Ben proposed in Iceland—the palette and design blended muted sage green, warm ivory, natural greens, layered neutrals, airy ikebana-style florals, and a warm honey-toned glow, resulting in a look that felt elevated, organic, and deeply connected to the couple’s story. From the Bride: “Before the planning began, I envisioned a day that felt deeply personal, emotional, and unforgettable—not just for us, but for everyone who attended. I didn’t want it to feel overly traditional or overly trendy—I wanted it to feel like us. I imagined something timeless but unique, elegant but warm, full of intentional details that told our story. I knew I wanted to honor our families, create beautiful memories with our closest friends, and make sure the love and joy we felt that day radiated throughout the celebration. Most of all, I wanted our guests to walk away feeling like they had witnessed something truly meaningful—and that they had fun!” Every detail reflected that vision. From a custom seating chart installation featuring wedding photos of each couple attending to cohesive signage throughout the venue, the design carried a sense of intentionality from arrival to the reception. From the Bride: “We hired our planner, Jordan, just 2.5 months before the wedding, and with her help, we pulled everything together beautifully. Looking back, it turned out even more beautiful and special than I had ever imagined.”

From the bride: “Ben proposed under the northern lights in Iceland, and I was completely in awe of the beauty I witnessed that night. The ethereal shades of green with soft touches of pink left a lasting impression on me, and I knew I had to bring that magic into our wedding day. The aurora borealis inspired our color palette—the northern lights, it was the perfect way to tie in such a meaningful moment in our love story.”

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]From the Bride: “I tried on so many dresses, but I ended up falling in love with the very first one I tried on! It had a timeless, classic feel that I adored. The detachable train and custom mantilla veil gave it that dramatic, traditional touch. Later in the night, I popped off the train and added a fun, oversized bow—totally me. I also changed into a pearl-beaded mini dress and sneakers for dancing, which was the perfect way to end the night in comfort and style.”[/field]

From the Bride: “We curated a menu of our favorite dishes and even had Oxford Exchange create a custom appetizer that wasn’t on their usual menu. Guests are still raving about the food! Later in the evening, we surprised everyone with a late-night snack, our favorite pizza from Eddie & Sam’s. It was a huge hit and the perfect way to keep the party going.”

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]
The design carried throughout the space with a custom seating chart installation and cohesive signage that created a seamless visual experience from arrival to reception. For the reception tables, we embraced an ikebana-inspired floral approach to achieve something artful, airy, and intentionally placed. This style was especially fitting for the Oxford Exchange’s sleek, elongated tables. Ikebana allowed the florals to feel sculptural and expressive without overwhelming the tablescape, complementing the venue’s minimalist elegance. A blend of pearlized sand cylinder candles, staggered down the tables, along with mauve taper candles in ribbed hurricanes, created a beautifully diffused light throughout the space. The candlelight cast a subtle honeyed glow across the tablescape, enriching the palette with warmth and dimension. From the Bride: “I wanted florals that felt lush, organic, and romantic, with lots of candlelight to add warmth and glow. Blossom Cart, along with my wedding planner, brought that vision to life so beautifully—I teared up when I saw the final setup. It was breathtaking and completely captured the mood I dreamed of.”

[field title=”Wedding Cake”]From the Bride: “We chose a vintage-inspired cake from Publix, featuring our two favorite flavors: Raspberry Elegance and Dulce de Leche. It was simple, beautiful, and absolutely delicious.”[/field]

From the Bride: “Oxford Exchange graciously allowed us to replace two of the photos on their iconic staircase with our own. We chose a photo of my dad in a helicopter and a family photo of Ben with his dad—the last one they took together. Both of our fathers have passed away, so having them “present” with us in such a subtle but meaningful way meant everything. The photos were printed and framed to blend into the gallery wall seamlessly. If you knew, you knew—and if not, they still hung beautifully among the other art.”

From the Bride: “A meaningful element was our seating chart, which was handcrafted by Amanda Frye. I wanted every guest to feel seen and celebrated, so we featured a wedding photo of each couple in attendance who were married. It was a total surprise and brought many of our guests to tears.”

From the Bride: “Since my dad passed, I often see yellow butterflies and feel his presence through them. We added a 3D embroidered yellow butterfly to the top of my bouquet—it was my quiet, personal way of carrying him with me down the aisle.”
