[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]
Tian and Elliott envisioned a wedding that felt both elevated and effortlessly joyful — a celebration that embraced the romance of Tuscany while weaving in vibrant Mediterranean elements. The overall design was inspired by the natural surroundings: rolling vineyards, expansive blue skies, and the golden warmth of an Italian summer afternoon. The aesthetic balanced timeless European elegance with playful citrus-infused details. Soft whites and airy blues created a refined foundation, while pops of orange and fresh greenery added depth and personality. The ceremony was designed to feel immersive and organic, allowing the panoramic landscape to serve as a breathtaking backdrop rather than competing with it. For the reception, the vision evolved into an intimate Tuscan garden dinner beneath wooden pergolas adorned with greenery and woven lanterns. Patterned blue linens reminiscent of Italian ceramics, layered textured plates, citrus trees as living centerpieces, and abundant florals created a setting that felt curated yet natural — luxurious, but never excessive. The overall vibe was romantic, sun-drenched, and deeply experiential — a celebration where every detail felt intentional, harmonious, and connected to place.

[field title=”Proposal Story”]
Elliott proposed at sunrise on Mount Acatenango in Guatemala during a backpacking trip the two had planned together. After hiking through the night to reach the summit, they arrived just before dawn, surrounded by sweeping views and the dramatic silhouette of Volcán de Fuego actively erupting in the distance. As the sky shifted from deep blue to warm gold and the first light illuminated the volcanic landscape, Elliott chose that breathtaking moment to ask Tian to marry him. Perched above the clouds in hiking boots, with the glow of sunrise and an active volcano creating an almost surreal backdrop, the proposal felt intimate, adventurous, and entirely true to who they are as a couple. The image of Tian holding up her ring against the horizon — the fiery sunrise meeting the stillness of the mountains — perfectly captures the spirit of that morning: bold, emotional, and unforgettable.

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]Tian wore the “Marisol” gown by Jenny Yoo, a design that perfectly balanced modern structure with romantic softness. The off-the-shoulder neckline and sculptural bodice created an elegant, architectural silhouette, while the flowing skirt added movement and lightness that felt effortless against the Tuscan landscape.
The gown’s refined simplicity allowed Tian’s natural beauty to shine while still making a statement. Paired with a classic veil and delicate accessories, her look felt timeless, sophisticated, and quietly powerful — an ideal complement to the elevated yet organic atmosphere of the celebration.[/field]
[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]
The bridesmaids selected their own dresses, embracing a coordinated yet individual approach to styling. This allowed each woman to choose a silhouette that felt flattering and authentic to her personal style, while still maintaining harmony within the overall aesthetic. The result was an effortlessly cohesive bridal party look that felt natural rather than overly styled. The variation in cuts and subtle tonal differences added depth and dimension to the group, creating a modern and relaxed elegance that complemented the day beautifully.

[section title=”The Details”]
[field title=”Food & Drink”]
The culinary experience was designed to immerse guests in the flavors of Tuscany while maintaining a refined and celebratory atmosphere. The menu featured elevated Italian classics crafted with seasonal, locally sourced ingredients — from handmade pasta courses to perfectly prepared meats and fresh garden vegetables that reflected the region’s rich culinary heritage. Cocktail hour embraced the warmth of an Italian summer, with signature spritz variations and citrus-forward drinks that complemented the vibrant palette of the day. Guests enjoyed a generous selection of passed aperitivo bites, encouraging mingling and movement before dinner. Throughout the evening, carefully selected Italian wines were paired with each course, allowing guests to experience the depth and character of the region. The overall dining experience was abundant yet elegant, blending authenticity with thoughtful presentation.

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]The floral and decor design embraced a Mediterranean garden aesthetic layered with intentional detail. The ceremony featured an organic, greenery-forward arch framing the panoramic Tuscan hills, with abundant white blooms and soft blue delphiniums lining the aisle to create a romantic, immersive pathway.
Citrus elements were thoughtfully woven throughout the design, with baskets of fresh oranges welcoming guests and kumquats delicately placed at each setting. The reception tables were layered with blue toile linens reminiscent of classic Italian ceramics, textured plates, patterned porcelain vases, and living citrus trees used as centerpieces.
Wooden pergolas draped in greenery and wicker lanterns created warmth and dimension overhead, while candlelight reflected off blue glassware as the sun set. The overall design felt curated yet effortless — a harmonious blend of elegance, color, and place.[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]
Rather than choosing a traditional tiered wedding cake, Tian and Elliott embraced an Italian classic: a freshly prepared millefoglie. The dessert became a memorable moment of the evening as the pastry chef assembled it live in front of the guests, with the couple joining in to help build the cake layer by layer. Crisp pastry sheets were stacked with delicate cream and fresh berries, creating a dessert that felt both elegant and authentically Italian. As the final touches were added and powdered sugar was dusted over the top, guests gathered around to watch the process, turning the cake cutting into a joyful and interactive celebration. Light, fresh, and perfectly suited to a warm Tuscan evening, the millefoglie offered a deliciously memorable finale to dinner while adding a playful show-cooking moment to the reception.

[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]
Music played a deeply intentional role throughout Tian and Elliott’s wedding day, guiding guests through each emotional transition. For the ceremony prelude, family members walked in to “Now We Are Free” from Gladiator by Hans Zimmer, beginning at the 1:42 mark. The cinematic build created a powerful and emotional atmosphere, setting a meaningful tone before the wedding party made their entrance. The wedding party processed down the aisle to “Hey Soul Sister” by Train, bringing an uplifting and joyful energy that reflected the couple’s playful spirit. Tian made her entrance to “Halo” by Beyoncé, beginning at the very start of the song — a moment that felt both powerful and romantic as the music swelled and framed her walk down the aisle against the Tuscan hills. Following the ceremony, the recessional song was “Home” by Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, encouraging guests to clap and celebrate as the newlyweds walked back down the aisle surrounded by cheers. For the grand entrance at dinner, Tian and Elliott chose “Rather Be” by Clean Bandit, which seamlessly transitioned into their first dance. The upbeat tempo allowed the moment to feel both celebratory and intimate, blending the excitement of their entrance with the romance of their first dance. During the cake cutting — a live millefoglie show-cooking moment — “That’s Amore” played, adding a playful and unmistakably Italian touch as the couple assembled their dessert alongside the chef. Instead of a traditional father-daughter dance, Tian shared a special dance with her mother, Linda, in honor of her father, who was unable to attend for health reasons. At the same time, Elliott danced with his mother, Beverly, to “Dancing in the Moonlight” by King Harvest — creating a deeply meaningful and beautifully balanced moment for both families.

[field title=”Special Detail #1″]
Tian and Elliott’s wedding was not simply a single-day celebration — it unfolded over an entire week of shared experiences. Before the official wedding weekend began, the couple spent three days celebrating their bachelor and bachelorette festivities in Tuscany with their closest friends, turning the trip into an intimate prelude filled with laughter, connection, and adventure. The formal destination wedding weekend then began with a welcome dinner the evening before the ceremony, allowing guests to settle in, reconnect, and experience the warmth of Italian hospitality. The celebration continued the day after the wedding with a relaxed farewell pool party, where everyone gathered once more under the Tuscan sun to unwind and extend the joy a little longer. Altogether, it became more than a wedding — it was a full week of love, friendship, and shared memories, intentionally designed to feel immersive and meaningful for everyone who traveled to be part of it.

[field title=”Special Detail #2″]Throughout the celebration, citrus was more than a decorative element — it was symbolic. Oranges, kumquats, and citrus trees were woven intentionally into the ceremony and reception as a nod to prosperity, abundance, and warmth — meaningful wishes for a new marriage.[/field]
