From the bride: We were inspired by Nikita’s love of flowers and our beautiful venue (the Asian Art Museum) to create as enchanting a vibe as possible. Our planner, Celi, and florist Lana did an incredible job of bringing this to life with floral installations that enhanced the pre-existing beauty of the space. When it all came together with mauve colored candles, at dusk, the atmosphere was romantic, warm, and sophisticated. Later in the evening, once dinner was complete, we knew exactly what we wanted the night to evolve into… an epic dance party!! Our DJ and a carefully curated selection of dance floor props (note: jumbo glow sticks) brought this to life.

From the bride: On the day of the proposal, Greg had planted the seed that they would be having dinner that evening with Nikita’s brother. Before dinner, he suggested a walk in the marina, which was something they frequently did at sunset. As they were approaching the wave organ (a rock formation), Nikita started to hear one of her favorite Elvis songs emerging up ahead. When she looked up at Greg, he had already begun to get emotional — and then it dawned on her. As they got closer, there were rose petals and candles in the shape of a heart where Greg dropped down on one knee. It was sweet, emotional, and perfect. Later in the evening, on the way to dinner, Greg suggested they pop into a restaurant for a quick drink — upon entry, all of their friends jumped out and yelled “Surprise!!” The room was decorated with photos of them, friends, and family everywhere. The night evolved into tequila shots and Ke$ha (as all good nights do), and it was perfect.

The food and drink experience for Nikita & Greg’s wedding is thoughtful, elevated, and deeply intentional, designed to reflect the couple’s backgrounds while feeling modern and approachable. Curated by Carrie Dove, the menu balances global flavors with refined presentation, creating a dining experience that feels both celebratory and personal. Guests are welcomed with interactive stations that encourage movement and connection, including an elegant sushi station and a beautifully presented dim sum station that nod to Asian culinary traditions in a fresh, contemporary way. Passed and stationed bites like rosemary grilled lamb skewers add warmth and depth, bringing familiar, comforting flavors with a polished twist. The evening transitions into a plated, sit-down dinner that ties everything together, blending technique, flavor, and presentation in a way that feels intentional rather than thematic. Each course is designed to feel balanced and inclusive, honoring cultural influences while remaining inviting and approachable for all guests.

The floral design for Nikita and Greg’s wedding is lush, romantic, and full of depth, centered around a rich palette of magenta, mauve, red, and purple. The arrangements are layered and expressive, creating movement and texture while still feeling refined and intentional within the Asian Art Museum. When guests first walk in, they are greeted by the grand staircase, where a lush flower meadow and romantic candle trails set the tone for the celebration, creating an immediate sense of wonder and intimacy. The grand frosted, tinted glass texture panels adorned with lush florals serve as the focal point of the celebration in Samsung Hall, creating an awe-inspiring backdrop that feels both modern and romantic. A deeply personal touch comes through in the smaller details that create moments of joy for guests. Nikita and Greg designed personalized take-out boxes that hold fortune cookies, transforming seating cards into playful, thoughtful surprises. These little moments invite guests to pause, smile, and feel part of the story, reinforcing that this celebration is as much about meaningful experiences as it is about grand design. Another memorable design moment is the custom lantern tree created by Big Day Service’s design and production team. Champagne-colored lanterns are thoughtfully chosen to blend beautifully with the museum’s travertine, feeling like a natural extension of the space rather than a statement placed on top of it.

The wedding cake was small and sweet, a single tier decorated with fresh flowers in the wedding’s gorgeous palette of magenta, mauve, red, and purple. But the real star was BooBoo. The couple’s beloved pup had her own little figurine standing next to the cake, looking like she was taking a playful bite, and honestly, she completely stole the show. The cake itself was elegant and simple, letting BooBoo’s charm shine through. It was one of those moments that made everyone smile, and so personal, perfectly capturing the couple’s love and sense of humor.

[field title=”Special Detail #1″]It was extremely meaningful that both Nikita & Greg’s siblings signed their marriage certificate with them that evening. Angad (Nikita’s brother) was deputized earlier that week at San Francisco City Hall to officiate the wedding. Jessica (Greg’s sister) was the obvious choice for our witness! Every time we look at our certificate, we are reminded of their love and support.[/field]

Nikita & Greg kept saying over and over throughout the planning process that their priority was “guest experience”. It was key to them that everyone who attended felt warmth, care, and attention that weekend. They tried to create little moments of joy, like fortune cookies with seating cards within, or trivia the night before. They also had guests submit RSVPs with song requests (that were taken very seriously) for the dance floor!

A Wildflower-Inspired Wedding at Blue Hill at Stone Barns with Orchid Accents and Chic Pattern Play

Juliana came to me in January for her July wedding! Once we locked in Blue Hill at Stone Barns for July 4th, we hit the ground running with the planning process! We wanted to lean into the summer “wildflower” vibes, while also adding stronger elements like orchids. We really leaned into the subtle moments of color from adding flower-printed napkins, purple ink calligraphy placed cards, and taupe candles. – Ashley the Planner An emphasis on textures and grasses with bold flowers created a vision for a modern wedding that was elevated and effortless. Unexpected prints, patterns, and pops of color made the design feel chic, but not stuffy.

[field title=”Proposal Story”]Antonio and Juliana met back in 2012 while they were both in college and spent years as friends before they began dating in 2023 while both living in New York. Over the holidays in December 2024, Antonio proposed in a private moment in Juliana’s hometown of Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, just before both of their families surprised Juliana by joining for an engagement celebration. With family traveling from Puerto Rico, Miami, and Mexico, New York felt like the right place for them—both a natural meeting point and the city where their relationship began. They booked Blue Hill at Stone Barns shortly after the engagement, a place they both loved.[/field]

She paired the look with Manolo Blahnik Carolyn heels in satin and lace. For the party, she changed into a draped Magda Butrym mini dress, finished with Jimmy Choo Sacaria block heels.

We started exploring different ideas of how the flowers and design could match the beauty and ethos of Blue Hill. We looked through a lot of photos together and kept coming back to one that had grasses and textures punctuated by more sculptural blooms. It felt unfussy and cool with the bold colors and graphic shapes, and mimicked the ample garden beds at the venue. We followed this inspiration direction for the aisle, keeping things very textural with grasses, ferns, and small purple blooms like oregano and verbena. Large globe and Schubertii allium really stood out against this design and created a dynamic pathway to their altar, which was a statement-making backdrop for Juilianna and Antonio’s vows filled with lush, cascading orchids. The arrangements for the reception introduced some warm pops of peaches, coral, and yellow, and we wanted to keep the design fun and expressive with gestural stems, unique flowers, and asymmetrical shapes. Summertime gives us a bounty of beautiful local material, including: ‘amazing gray’ poppies, meadow rue, clematis, alliums, and scabiosa that were layered with curving phalaenopsis orchid and delicate oncidium orchids to create a centerpiece that felt romantic and garden-like. – Michelle (Florist) A small locket charm with photos of Juliana’s late grandmother was tucked into her bouquet, adding a simple and meaningful personal tribute. – Juliana

The ceremony itself was officiated by Padre Orlando Lugo, a priest who has known Juliana and her family her entire life and traveled from Puerto Rico to marry the couple in New York. The ceremony ended with a live performance from Garret and Tamara of “New York, New York” by Frank Sinatra, which was a fitting send-off and a final tribute to the city at the center of their story. As a nod to the bride’s Puerto Rican roots, the couple invited Los Pleneros de la 21 to perform traditional plena during the reception, instantly lifting the energy and turning the celebration into a lively, unforgettable moment.

Juliana wore Manolo Blahnik Carolyn heels in satin and lace, which were hand-painted with the couple’s wedding date in blue by an artist at a Manolo Blahnik Bridal Fashion Week event in NYC. The custom detail added a personal layer and became a keepsake from that day.

Juliana’s engagement ring was custom-designed by Abeer Jan of Ajain Jewelry, who happens to be a close friend from college for both Juliana and Antonio. Knowing Juliana’s love for yellow diamonds, they created a ring centered around a canary diamond that felt both personal and timeless.

Guests were welcomed with custom floral gift bags featuring “Nuevayol J+A” hats in blue and red, engraved with the couple’s wedding date. The hats were a direct nod to Bad Bunny’s Nuevayol – a playful reference to partying in New York on the Fourth of July – while also tying back to where the couple met and Juliana’s Puerto Rican roots. Levain cookies were also included as a classic New York staple.

A Barefoot Cliffside Wedding in Greece with All-White Elegance and Cinematic Ocean Views

From the very first moments of the day, it was clear that this wedding was driven by emotion rather than spectacle. There was an almost cinematic anticipation in the air, especially surrounding the ceremony — the bride’s walk down the aisle was not just a moment, it was the moment. Watching her approach, framed by the white chapel and the endless blue of the sea, and witnessing the groom’s reaction as he saw her for the first time, was profoundly moving. When they met halfway and shared their first kiss as flower petals filled the air, time seemed to pause. As a photographer, these are the moments you don’t orchestrate — you simply witness them, feel them, and quietly preserve them. The entire aesthetic of the day felt refreshingly honest and timeless. Set high above the ocean cliffs, the venue needed very little embellishment — the natural beauty of Greece did all the talking. The palette of crisp whites, soft textures, and delicate greenery created an atmosphere that felt elegant without ever being overpowering. During their portrait session, we let everything unfold effortlessly. Barefoot moments on the beach, soft glances, unguarded laughter — nothing posed, nothing forced. It was about capturing them as they are, against a landscape that felt just as eternal as their connection. As the sun dipped and the evening unfolded, the celebration transformed into pure energy and joy. Music and movement became the heartbeat of the night. The sound of the violin during the ceremony was hauntingly beautiful, and as the bouzouki joined in later, the atmosphere shifted seamlessly into celebration. The dance floor never emptied — not for a second. Guests danced freely, emotionally, joyfully, and without inhibition. From behind the lens, it felt like witnessing a love story told through movement, rhythm, and shared happiness. It was one of those rare weddings where everything aligned — emotion, setting, people, and energy — and I felt truly honored to document it.

The bride shared: Overlooking the beautiful ocean views, I really did not want to detract from the natural beauty of Greece. I knew that I wanted the vibe and vision to be very simple, yet elegant. I wanted my guests to walk into the venue and have their breath taken away, but not in an overwhelming way. The landscape was absolutely breathtaking, and I knew I did not need too many decorations to make my wedding look stunning. I had a mix of elegance and angelic vibes, with a modern twist. My colors were all white, to enhance the white of the chapel where we got married, and also at the venue. The only color that popped from the décor was the greenery of the flower stems and baby’s breath. This all tied together with my dress, my invites, and my overall look for the wedding, which I can describe as timeless.

The bride shared: “It was a truly magical New York City Christmas proposal.” With the Rockefeller Centre tree just beneath us, overlooking all of Manhattan and the famous Fifth Avenue on one of the most famous rooftops in NYC, it was truly breathtaking. It was 5 days before Christmas, and my fiancé told me that we were attending a Holiday Party with this co- workers. It was a chilly day in the city, and as true New Yorkers, we travelled with a yellow cab into Manhattan, looking out the window at all of the Christmas decorations and tall decorated buildings. We arrived at the building, called 620 Loft & Garden. We were greeted by the concierge, asking us if we were here for the party. My fiancé said yes, and I was, of course,e oblivious to the fact that there was no one else in the lobby but us. I was so nervous to meet his new co-workers that no other thought was in my mind at the time. We proceeded to the elevator, and as the doors opened, I saw this breathtaking rooftop garden, something truly out of a movie. My fiancé said he wanted me to see the view before we went to the party, so we walked out into the garden, and he placed me perfectly in the middle. He took out a handwritten letter he had written to me and began to read it out loud to me. My fiancé was always doing romantic gestures, so I still did not think anything of it and was just trying to take in the moment and the view. As he continued to read, I saw a man in the bushes with a camera, and actually said out loud, “Babe, I think someone is taking a picture of us”. As the letter started coming to an end, and I saw his amazing smile looking at me, I started to become numb because the thought suddenly came to my mind. “Is he proposing right now, or am I going absolutely crazy? This can’t be it, or can it?” He then went into his pocket, and that’s when I knew it was happening. All I could say in the moment was, ” Are you serious?” over and over again as the tears started forming in my eyes. When he knelt to his knee, I felt like the world completely stopped for us, and it was just him and me. I could not stop crying, I even knelt down on the floor, hugging him in joy. I couldn’t even say “yes” because of how overwhelmed with emotions I was. It was truly the most magical, perfect moment I could ever imagine. I have never felt so much happiness in such a short time, and everything after that moment was the start of our forever.

The bride shared, “My wedding gown was an absolute dream to get married in.” I always pictured myself with a fitted gown, as I usually dress in fitted clothing. I never envisioned myself in a “poofy princess dress” or anything that did not fit snug on my body. I just knew I wanted my dress to stand out, not by the design or the details, but just a true wow moment once my fiancé saw me. When wedding dress shopping, I wanted to be open and try on all styles of dresses. My first appointment was at Bridal Reflections in Massapequa, Long Island. I tried on a couple of dresses, and although they were stunning, I did not feel like that “wow” factor. My stylist had this dress on the hanger, and it was a true princess gown with a gorgeous embellished corset and the lace all down the back. My family was with me, and they said my face lit up the second I came out of the dressing room. I had not felt that feeling with any other dress, and I was absolutely obsessed. I could picture myself getting married in this dress, and it felt like it was made specifically for me. I am not an indecisive person, but since it was my first appointment, I wanted to give other dresses a chance, so I decided not to buy it that day. When I went home, I couldn’t stop looking at the pictures of myself in it, and was falling more in love. My second appointment was at another store, and I tried on a couple of dresses there. Lo and behold, they also had the dress I fell in love with, and so I decided to try it on once more. That is when I knew it was the one, because I somehow loved it even more than the first time. The dress was a pure white satin ball gown, with a corset see-through top filled with lace, flat flowers, and embellished crystals. The back was very long, and the middle had a lace trim going all around to the end of the dress. The designer is Eve of Milady, and she is known for her romantic style dresses. I also changed into a second dress for the reception, which I was also in love with. I knew I wanted to slip into something more comfortable for the party, and so I chose a fitted corset satin white dress with a slit that just scraped the floor.

The bride shared, “I wanted my bridal party to feel classy and elegant, yet still comfortable.” We knew it was going to be a long day and night, so comfort was my main priority so everyone could enjoy the day. However, I had a vision in my mind of this gorgeous pastel yellow that would complement the white décor so beautifully. I found the perfect color satin dresses from a website called “Billy J Bridal” in Australia. They were also not floor length, which was important for comfort. The girls loved them, and I had each girl choose her own favorite style to complement their body so everyone felt beautiful. The pictures with the yellow satin against my white satin dress came out amazing! My fiancé is a very classy man, and he knew he wanted his groomsmen in a traditional black tux. They rented them from a local store in Long Island that made them all fit perfectly. The black against the yellow color of the bridesmaids also looked gorgeous against all the white décor. My fiancé’s tux was a custom Italian-made tux that was a perfect fit, looked so crisp and elegant in photos, and truly made him look radiant under the Greek sun.

The bride shared, “I was absolutely blown away by the food at our venue.” There were endless options, and everything was so delicious. It was a perfect mixture of authentic Greek food with a modern twist, and there was something for everyone there. I cannot tell you the number of people who came up to me saying how delicious the food was. My husband made sure to sit down and enjoy every dish, and I am so glad we did because it was phenomenal! We decided to go with buffet style because we wanted to have different options for everyone, and I honestly could not choose between all the great options the venue had to offer! The food was set up where there were various dishes on display, but also some stations where there were people serving (for example, a cut of the steak), which made it also interactive and fun. I have to point out the mushroom truffle risotto, which was my absolute favorite, and I still think about it to this day. I wanted my guests to truly taste the amazing fresh food and spices that Greece has, especially since they travelled from so far, and our venue did an excellent job at representing that. For drinks, we had an open bar because,e of course, we wanted everyone to enjoy any drink they wanted! We made sure to have espresso martinis on the menu because not only were we planning to party until 5 am, but that is my fiancé’s favorite cocktail! All of the food and drinks were delicious; the part that made it all come together was the exceptional service from the staff. Everyone made sure that all my guests were satisfied every second, and I could not be more grateful for their hospitality.

Our bride shared: Every girl dreams of having a beautiful wedding with an abundance of flowers and over-the-top décor to make it look like a fairy tale. Although I have seen many weddings where the excess décor and extravagant florals look great, I knew that was not my dream wedding. I did not want anything to take away from the natural beauty of the venue, the water, and the people. I wanted everyone to focus on being in the moment and enjoying the happiness of the day, as opposed to focusing on overwhelming décor and florals. So my vision for the florals and décor was just a very effortless and natural elegance. I wanted all white everything, mostly using roses and baby’s breath all around. The florist company I hired, “Fleur du Jour”, did an amazing job at creating my vision. For the church, I wanted baby breath all across to accentuate the whiteness of the outside. For the centerpieces, I wanted a very simple bouquet of white roses, which came out perfect. Now let’s talk about my dancefloor. My husband and I made it very clear that our priority was the dancing part of our wedding. We wanted it to be a night filled with non-stop dancing where we could enjoy every minute. So, the dancefloor was very important to us, and we wanted to make sure it looked both elegant and inviting. The florals were absolutely stunning, with beautiful white lilies hanging all across the top. Our wedding planner added a mirrored bar right on the dancefloor, which invited everyone to always be there dancing while grabbing a drink. We had a huge disco ball right in the center, which was a perfect addition during our first dance and also for the rest of the night dancing. It gave a perfect sparkle during the night and also felt like we were dancing under the moonlight as it started approaching 5 am! It was a perfect mixture of classiness and fun, which highlighted our personalities. I wanted the décor throughout the wedding to let our personalities shine through, and I truly feel that was accomplished with all the amazing work everyone did.

From the bride: The wedding cake was a simple, white, and elegant design. I honestly was not so focused on the look of the wedding cake, but mostly the vibe of the cake cutting. This is when I changed into my second dress, I felt a lot freer and ready to party, and the vibes were truly on a high! My husband and I were dancing during the cake cutting, and just truly took a second to appreciate every single person in front of us. It was a magical moment filled with happiness, gratitude, and love that I will forever cherish.

From the bride: As I mentioned before, dancing and music are a big part of our lives, and we wanted to make that the highlight of the wedding. I am so grateful and so in awe of the music during our wedding. I hired a violinist, Evangeline, and a bouzouki player, Antonis, from Australia, who played during the ceremony and the entire night. They do not work together, but they performed beautifully throughout the night. The violin is one of my favorite instruments, and hearing it as I walk down the aisle truly brought tears to my eyes. Evangeline is a true artist, as she was able to cover songs that are normally not covered by a violin, and they sounded absolutely amazing. I knew I wanted a bouzouki player for the Greek music, and Antonis truly brought the party. Everyone was on the dancefloor the entire night, which is what I envisioned for my special day.

A Regal British-Italian Wedding at Ashridge House Inspired by Royal History

Little did I know, Josh had been doing a bit of planning himself and had organised the most beautiful dinner in the private gardens of The Grand Hotel Tremezzo. Arriving by speed boat, serenaded by a violinist, and ending the night with fireworks. It was the most magical evening.

My evening dress was a total contrast to the day, a Stella York design full of sparkles and an overskirt which I could remove later on. In total, I had three looks which I absolutely adored. Both dresses were purchased from Georgina Scott Bridal in Stourbridge, who went above and beyond for me. They were the absolute dream team!

For our wedding menu, we had four courses. Starting with Celeriac & Apple Soup, followed by Gnocchi Pomodoro, a main course of Black Treacle Sirloin Pave, confit shallot, marrow mash and seasonal vegetables, finishing with a Trio of Ashridge classics for dessert, chocolate Ganache, Passionfruit Baked Alaska and Choux Bun. In the evening, we had Best of British street food, including sausage and mash, filled golden Yorkshire puddings, mini shepherd’s pie pots, and fish and chips cones. They went down a treat! A standout was our very own cocktail bar, which featured our favourite cocktails, Pina coladas, Brambles, Jamaican mules & passion fruit martini,s which everybody LOVED.

Music was such an integral part of our day, as we are both musicians. Our wedding was shaped by the music we love. We had different music throughout the day, including a string quartet for our ceremony, a gospel choir during our religious blessing, a flamenco duo for the drinks reception, an accordion player for the wedding breakfast, and then a four-piece band, DJ, saxophonist & percussionist for the evening. A special mention was our first dance to ‘Bless The Broken Road’ – Rascal Flatts, a song that means so much to both of us.

Nolan and I purchased our first home months before we got engaged, and we were in the process of a huge renovation. I secretly thought to myself, I hoped he would propose there once it was finished, but didn’t want to tell him or anyone else that because I wanted whatever he did to be his own idea. Little did I know that Nolan had been planning a proposal at our new home all along, with the intention of proposing at our “grand reveal” when the home was finished. When the renovation took longer than expected (shocker), he had to pivot, but still wanted to propose at our home. With the help of our contractors, friends, and family, our construction zone of a home was transformed into the most special proposal sight. The wooden beams serving as our ceilings were draped with string lights, the plywood floors covered in rose petals, and tons of votive candles and roses led me to our master bedroom addition, where he got down on one knee. Our family later came out of the guest room to celebrate with champagne, and afterward, I was surprised again with a huge engagement party at the brand new Bowie House Hotel with all of our friends and family. It was one of the most special and magical nights of my life!

We got engaged in April of 2024 in Venice, Italy—a place that already felt like a dream. We spent the day on a private boat tour of the canals, visiting Murano to tour a glass factory, and enjoying lunch in Burano at Trattoria da Romano. After lunch, our guide suggested a walk through the city’s only vineyard. It wasn’t part of the tour, so I assumed it was simply a thoughtful gesture—especially meaningful since I’m a wine importer who works closely with Italian wines. Little did I know that my husband had told her he wanted to find a beautiful place to propose. As we walked through the vineyard, he gently pulled me off the path. Suddenly, he was down on one knee, holding the most beautiful ring, and quietly asked, “Will you marry me?” I was completely caught off guard in the best possible way. It was intimate, emotional, and unforgettable. We spent the rest of the day celebrating—wandering Venice, soaking in the magic of the city, and beginning the next chapter of our lives together.

Food and beverages were catered by The Ritz-Carlton Bacara and were an unforgettable part of the experience. Cocktail hour featured an elevated selection of passed canapés, including Mini Chicken Barbacoa Tacos, Petite Crab Cakes, Yukon Potato Latkes with Caviar and Dill Crème Fraîche, Pan Con Tomate, and Ricotta Toast with Iberico Ham and Poached Pears. We chose a seated, plated dinner in the outdoor courtyard off the Rotunda. The meal began with a Market Greens Salad featuring shaved apples, crisp fennel, candied pecans, tangerine, Laura Chenel goat cheese, and green goddess dressing. Entrée selections included Seared Free-Range Chicken Breast with Porcini Mushroom Risotto and Lemon-Caper Sauce, Braised Beef Short Rib with Parsnip Mousseline and Broccolini, and Wild Mushroom Ravioli with Tuscan kale, toasted pine nuts, and parsley vichyssoise. For dessert, we added a Bomboloni (Italian donut) station, followed by late-night bites such as Braised Beef Sliders with gochujang aioli, crisp pommes frites with black pepper truffle aioli, and mini cheese quesadillas with tomatillo avocado salsa. In addition to the Bacara’s Elite Bar Package, our signature cocktails were Aperol Spritzes and Espresso Martinis. Wines served tableside included EOS Sauvignon Blanc, EOS Cabernet Sauvignon, and J.P. Chenet Blanc de Blanc.

A string quartet performed the music for the ceremony. The processional was La Vie en Rose. I walked down the aisle to Make You Feel My Love, and the recessional was If I Ain’t Got You.
At the reception, we celebrated with Lovestoned. Our first dance was At Last by Etta James. The father-daughter dance was My Wish by Rascal Flatts, and the mother-son dance was Stand By Me by Ben E. King.[/field]

A French Countryside-Inspired Wedding with a Fairytale Finish

From the beginning, the vision for the wedding was effortless yet elevated, romantic yet sophisticated, and organic yet refined. I loved the soft summer color palette of light rose pinks, happy greens, off-whites, and beige tones. Our wedding website read, “A Summer Garden Party Wedding Inspired by The French Countryside” because I wanted guests to feel like they stepped into an old-world estate garden. I was inspired by elegant designs that combined a pretty pastel color palette with exquisite ornate textures. Our rentals came together to create the perfect mix of elevated elegance and relaxed garden party. A lounge area with Louis XIV-style settees and custom down throw pillows that matched the tablecloths, a round bar with French umbrellas, wrought-iron welcome area furniture, a flower cart welcome table, bistro seating, scalloped edge plates, mother-of-pearl flatware, floral textured tablecloths, beige linen napkins, a sailcloth tent, and a checkered dance floor under market lights made for an incredible celebration from day to night. The ambiance of the day felt romantic and intentional with special touches; a welcome champagne etagere where guests could pick up a flute on their way to the ceremony, a string quartet playing live for the ceremony and cocktail hour, a horse and carriage that drove us through the tree-lined drive and dropped us off for our grand entrance into dinner, and a sailcloth tent draped with florals and string lights where dinner was magical.

Ever since I was a little girl, I dreamed of a fairytale wedding that was full of romance, joy, and effortless beauty. My family traveled to France many times in my childhood, and I fell in love with the French countryside. I wanted our guests to feel transported to Provence, and Cavaignac Estate allowed us to make it happen without a flight. With a welcome area that resembled a French courtyard, a garden-party ceremony in a tree-lined drive, a cocktail hour amongst vineyards, a surprise horse-and-carriage grand entrance, and a plated dinner under twinkle lights in a sailcloth tent, the day truly felt like a fairytale. Unique Elements & DIY Elements: Our stationery suite was designed and handmade by my mom and me. With her graphic design skills and art degree, she helped to bring my vision of old-world romance to life with the finest details: a custom logo and floral design, handmade cotton paper, letterpressed invitations, a gorgeous custom font, specialty die-cut debossed trim, custom gold foil venue illustration, coordinating envelope liners, and hand-addressed antique gold calligraphy assembled with handmade pink silk ribbons, oval floral wax seals, and curated vintage stamps. We also made all of the wedding signage: a linen welcome sign with our venue line art, gold-framed bar signs that matched our custom logo, deckled-edge menus, ornately framed table numbers, and a French partition seating chart with our gold-framed logo and flowing linen signs. Everything was lovingly designed and handcrafted to create a romantic and cohesive feeling for our guests. Favorite Moment: My favorite moment of the day was riding in a horse-and-carriage while our guests waved to us. Seeing all of our loved ones as we passed by is a memory that Zach and I will always cherish. We went down the tree-lined drive for photos as our guests were seated for dinner. We were then escorted around our reception tent, where our guests waved and cheered once more. It was the experience of a lifetime. It was also an homage to my parents’ wedding, where they exited in a horse-and-carriage. We displayed their carriage photo on our welcome flower cart. Leading up to the wedding, Zach and I had written each other letters on the 23rd of each month. While getting ready on the morning of the wedding, we wrote our last letters and read them to each other during our first look. It was one of the most sentimental and memorable moments of the day.

On a combined family trip to Kauai, Hawaii, we planned to take family pictures on the beach during sunset. During our portraits together, Zach got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Zach’s family adorned me with a beautiful lei, and everyone was so happy – hugging and crying. It was the perfect start to our forever.

Movement, texture, and delicate details were high on my list of “must-haves,” and I knew I wanted to wear Clivia by Alena Leena the minute I saw it online. I fell in love with the sweetheart neckline, delicate floral details, and unique tulle fabric. Adding a ruched ruffle trim along the bodice created the French-inspired dress of my dreams. I chose a cathedral veil that swooped just above my waist, and it perfectly complemented the shape of my silhouette while giving me the traditional bridal romance I was hoping for.

We transformed my mom’s classic 1990s wedding gown into the perfect second look dress for the end-of-night dancing. The puffed sleeves and basque-waist silhouette became a sophisticated, strapless gown with a modern high-low skirt. It was so special to be able to repurpose my mom’s wedding dress for this nostalgic trend.
I also found the perfect shoes to complement both dresses from Bella Belle. The Eve heels matched the detailing on my wedding dress as if they were made for each other, and the Lilia heels were the perfect touch of pearl for my second look. I finished off my bridal look with dainty drop pearl earrings and a matching drop pearl necklace. [/field]

We wanted our friends to be included in the wedding day without the traditional responsibilities of a full bridal party. They got ready with us in the morning, took photos with us before the ceremony, and sat at our head table during dinner. We did not have them walk down the aisle or stand with us because we wanted them to enjoy the moment. I gave my bridesmaids a moodboard and asked them to choose their own dresses. I encouraged them to look for dresses with movement, texture, and florals to enhance the garden party feel. They all came together to create a gorgeous array of garden party fashions. We asked the groomsmen to rent tuxedos with pinstripe French cuff tuxedo shirts to coordinate with Zach’s custom European tux from Indochino. To finish off his look, Zach wore a silk bowtie, custom gold cufflinks, and a classic white-faced watch that I gifted him that morning.

Guests were escorted under the dreamy sailcloth tent for a sophisticated, plated dinner that began with a fresh farm salad and ended with a choice of chicken, steak, or ravioli. Wine and champagne were poured tableside for added convenience. During sunset, a large oval table was filled with delicate French desserts – eclairs, lemon bars, chocolate silk tarts, mini cheesecakes, and a central macaron tower. The dance floor opened with a dress change and an espresso martini tower, bringing a modern flair to a classic wedding tradition.[/field]

The floral vision was “French garden party,” and our florist delivered. It felt like I had stepped into the most lush, organic, and beautiful gardens I had ever seen. The custom ceremony arch was a work of art, the baskets of floral groupings around the seating chart felt organic, and the vines cascading down the entrance of the reception tent made the space feel romantic. Every floral was placed intentionally to create lots of movement and whimsy, and it all seamlessly blended in with the venue as if it had grown from the ground. I even dedicated my beautiful bouquet to my mom at the end of my toast for all of her help with making our wedding such a dream.

[field title=”Wedding Cake”]Our cake was an elegant, two-tiered vintage cake – similar to both of our parents’ wedding cakes from the 90s. Espresso buttercream was smoothed between the decadent layers of vanilla bean cake, and delicate buttercream scallops kissed the ruffled trim along the outside. For the ultimate romantic French style, we created a ‘frou-frou’ cake table by draping layers of luxurious fabric and gathering it into rosette poofs. For that special ‘something old’ vintage touch, we used my grandmother’s antique silver knife and cake server. [/field]

The Tuscan station offered carved beef tenderloin with rolls and condiments, lemon and artichoke chicken, and seasonal sides of roasted fingerling potatoes, zucchini, and Provençal squash. The bar offered fresh-squeezed margaritas, espresso martini flights, and more!

The best food, music, ambiance, located in the Tuscan countryside in a castle, all to ourselves. We wanted to throw the best party with all of our family and friends, not a detail unthought of. The idea was “Euro trip that made it out of the group chat,t” but elevated by beauty and elegance to celebrate our marriage. Vibe: We wanted it to be effortlessly chic, jaw-droppingly beautiful, an epic garden-style party in a castle located in the heart of Tuscany. We wanted to embrace the Italian culture, the opportunity to be present in the most beautiful place in the world with our closest loved ones. Having the time of our lives every step of the way. A seamless adventure that will be etched in our memories forever. Design: CHIARA ELENA From the very beginning, our wedding planners had an extraordinary ability to translate our vision into something even more beautiful than we could have imagined. They didn’t simply plan our wedding — they designed an experience that felt immersive, intentional, and deeply connected to its surroundings. Set against the rolling Tuscan countryside and within the walls of a private castle, every design decision felt thoughtful and refined. A palette of soft whites and layered greens mirrored the olive groves and historic stone, creating a look that was timeless, elevated, and effortlessly Italian. The florals were lush yet organic, styled to feel as though they were growing naturally from the space, enhancing the setting without ever overpowering it. The ceremony design was both intimate and cinematic, with a sense of symmetry and perspective that guided our guests through the olive trees toward a moment that felt incredibly emotional. As the celebration transitioned into the reception, the courtyard was transformed into a stunning open-air dining experience. Cascading greenery, glowing chandeliers, and soft candlelight created an atmosphere that was romantic, warm, and undeniably elegant. What made the design truly exceptional was how seamlessly everything came together. Our planners were absolutely incredible — thoughtful, creative, and meticulous in every detail. They created a setting that was jaw-dropping yet welcoming, elevated yet joyful. Because of them, our guests were fully immersed in the experience, and we were able to be completely present, knowing every detail had been executed flawlessly. It was a celebration that felt not only beautiful but unforgettable.

Frank knew I would want a private and intimate proposal, and he did just that. There was a song I showed him months before that I told him reminded me of how I felt about him. My family was in Chicago,o and we were planning to meet with them later in the afternoon. Frank went to take our dog out before we left, and a few moments later,r the song I showed him started playing over the speakers. Our dog came running through the door with a white bow and a white rose around his collar, with Frank right behind him with a massive bouquet of roses. He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! Easiest yes ever! Shortly after, we met my family at their hotel bar, and they had champagne waiting to celebrate. To end the night,t we went to our regular dive bar to find that Frank’s family and my best friend had been waiting for us. The table was decorated with balloons and cookies. They even played the same song he proposed to. Fast forward two years later and that song was our first dance.

The wedding gown was Sandra by Varca. A milk white, Japanese taffeta, sleeveless dress with a stunning, dramatic train. Varca is a Chicago-based designer, so it felt like taking a piece of home with us to our wedding in Italy. It was purchased at Belle Atelier in Chicago. I styled it with jimmy choo heels, the diamond bracelet my dad gifted to my mom as a push present when I was born, a diamond cocktail ring that was my grandmothers, gold floral earrings inspired by the garden my mom always had growing up, and a purse made by our family friend out of my mom’s wedding dress (the inside had a picture of me, my mom, and my late Nonna).

The bridesmaids all got to choose their own dresses with two rules: they had to be long and ivory. The rest was up to them! They all chose how to style it, the fabric, and their shoes. I wanted to make sure you could see each girl’s personality, and they were in something that made them feel beautiful!

The groom and groomsman (and the fathers) all wore State and Liberty tuxes. Most of the groomsmen were hockey players, so having an athletic fit/fabric provided comfort without sacrificing style. Frank, the groom, differentiated himself through a pleated shirt and cummerbund.

Cocktail Hour: Finger Food: Beef tartare with salt, pepper, lemon, olive oil, and parmesan cheese Bruschetta with olive oil, tomatoes and oregano Wafer cone with burrata cheese and cherry tomatoes Crusty bread with cannellini beans cream and scorzone truffle Fried baby ravioli with stuffed cheese in Mediterranean sauce Tartlet with baked ham in port wine Skewer with sausage, zucchini, tomatoes Baby bun with mortadella and chopped pistachios Cheese Buvette Ricotta cheese with tomatoes Buffalo mozzarella Burrata cheese with Andria Smoke burrata cheese Assortment of Pecorino cheese with different seasoning Il Norcino Cinta Senese salami Finocchiona Wild Boar sausage with truffle Pratomagno Ham (LIVE CUT) Greve in Chianti Salami Wedding Dinner: We customized our first dish which was Paccheri of Val D’Orcia with raw tomato, basil, pesto and burrata. The second dish was a Pici Cacio e Pepe. Pici is a local pasta from Siena, which was important for us to incorporate. The main course was a beef filet with Chianti Classico au jus. The side dishes were sage and rosemary potatoes alla ghiotta and a salad with cherries and caprine cheese. We had vegans and vegetarians at our wedding as well. Roland accommodated them with their own chosen dishes, and the feedback was amazing. We did a midnight snack, which was a bunch of different pizzas!! Drinks: Cocktail hour was Aperol Spritz, Hugo Spritz, and passion bitter. Dinner was served with a white wine (Ottomuri – Tenuta I Collazzi) and a red wine (Chianti – Casalvento)

Flowers and décor were at the heart of our wedding design. We wanted everything to feel natural, timeless, and effortlessly elegant—never overstyled, but rich in texture and intention. Our palette was built around soft whites and layered greens, allowing the florals to blend seamlessly with the surrounding garden and stone architecture. We chose classic, seasonal blooms—primarily hydrangeas and delicate white flowers—arranged in generous, organic compositions. The goal was abundance without heaviness, creating a sense of movement and softness that felt as though the flowers belonged to the space rather than being placed within it. Long tables were dressed with crisp white linens, natural wood chairs, and low floral arrangements that ran the length of each table, encouraging conversation and intimacy. Candlelight was layered throughout the design, adding warmth and depth as the evening unfolded. Above the tables, crystal chandeliers suspended among greenery brought a touch of old-world romance, casting a soft, glowing light that transformed the garden into something truly magical. Our wedding planners were instrumental in bringing this vision to life, interpreting our ideas with incredible sensitivity and creativity, and enriching the design with thoughtful details that elevated the overall atmosphere. Every floral and decorative choice felt intentional, cohesive, and deeply reflective of our vision. If the design was the body of our wedding, the photography was its soul. We didn’t just want someone to document the day; we wanted an artist who could capture the quiet, unspoken emotions and the grand architectural scale of our Tuscan dream. Our photographer was a true visionary. From the breathtaking aerial shots of our ceremony among the olive groves to the intimate, candlelit glow of our first dance, every frame feels like a piece of cinema. They had an incredible ability to play with the natural light, making the white hydrangeas glow against the ancient stone of the castle

[field title=”Wedding Cake”]We did a show cooking for our wedding cake. The chef came out and did the first layer of the Millefeuille with Chantilly cream, raspberries, and shaved dark chocolate. Then we did the second layer and topped it with powdered sugar! It was so fun and a unique/fun way to do a cake cutting.

Of all the moments we planned, the ceremony was the one that felt the most sacred. We wanted our ‘I do’s’ to be deeply personal, so having my father perform the ceremony was a decision that meant the world to us. There wasn’t a dry eye in the olive grove as he spoke; his words turned a grand setting into an intimate family memory that Frank and I will carry forever. It was exactly the kind of heartfelt, moving tribute we had hoped for. To heighten the emotion, we chose a soundtrack that felt like ‘us’—a blend of contemporary romance and timeless classics. As the string quartet began to play, the air was filled with the melodies of Coldplay’s most romantic pop songs, echoing through the trees. For the most pivotal moments, we chose the soul-stirring notes of ‘Can’t Help Falling in Love’. Hearing those familiar chords played by a classical quartet amidst the rustling leaves of the Tuscan landscape was pure magic. My wedding planners were incredible at coordinating the timing, ensuring the music swelled at just the right moments to perfectly complement my father’s ceremony. The menu at Wychmere Beach Club offered a thoughtfully curated balance of comfort and refinement, beginning with a chopped romaine salad accented by asiago flatbread croutons and basil-cured tomatoes. Guests enjoyed a plated entrée selection including braised boneless short rib with Yukon gold purée and red wine sauce, roasted free-range chicken breast with bacon-bourbon jam, and a beautifully composed quinoa-stuffed zucchini option. Dessert featured a two-tier ceremonial wedding cake with a triple vanilla flavor, alongside an orange olive oil cake served with blueberry jam, Grand Marnier, and whipped cream, offering a satisfying and memorable finish.

We know you know… Your wedding invitation sets the stage for your wedding. It’s the first glimpse your guests will hold in their hot little hands. Give them something to drool over! But the options are endless. Save yourself some wedding planning stress ~ seek the help of an expert. They will guide you through the entire process: Save-The-Dates, Thank You Notes, the Full Invitation Suite… paper and printing style choices, edge options, flat card vs folded, fonts, calligraphy style, ink color, envelope color… You get the picture. So today, we have a bit of advice from a pro: Michaela McBride Calligraphy.

Be Honest With Yourself
Your special day should be an honest reflection of who you are as a couple. Your stationery should be no different. Just as you would with any other member of your wedding team (photographer, florist etc) find a stationer/designer whose style aligns with yours – someone you trust and who will help bring your vision to life.

Define Your Stationery Style
Your wedding invitation provides insight into the type of day your wedding will be. It’s the first tangible item your loved ones will hold in their hands. Make it something special. Find a stationer who can help you select the best suited papers, materials, colors, calligraphy, typeface, etc. Just as you have decided on the kind of wedding you will have, you will also be in charge of setting the tone/mood of your stationery style. Formal or relaxed? Soft and organic, understated and neutral, moody and romantic? You call the shots… but your stationer/designer will make it all so much easier and so much more cohesive.

Don’t Forget About Wedding Day Details
It’s pretty easy to tick invitations off your ‘to-do’ list and then set the paper goods aside so that you can focus on all the other details of the day. We know… there’s a lot to think about! But then… just weeks before the wedding, you’ll be coming back to the day-of paper goods in a scramble. We encourage you to really consider thinking about it all with those very first invitation decisions. Syncing your day-of paper along with your initial invitation design process will save you so much stress later on down the road, when time starts getting tight.

The vision for the day began with the venue. From the moment they got engaged, Drew and Madelyn knew they wanted to be married near Beaufort, South Carolina, a place deeply rooted in both of their histories. With a lifelong connection to Fripp Island and years of family vacations spent in nearby Hilton Head, the Lowcountry has always held a special place in their hearts. Once they discovered Agapae Oaks, it immediately stood out as the perfect backdrop for their celebration. Every design choice was made with the setting in mind, allowing the natural beauty of the Lowcountry to shine. A palette of soft greens and blues, grounded by natural wood tones, echoed the surrounding marshland and oak trees, while a blue-and-white checkered dance floor added a playful yet timeless focal point. Floral elements were designed to feel effortlessly organic, arrangements that looked as though they were gathered straight from a meadow, perfectly imperfect and full of movement. Their wedding planner, Kaitlyn, played a key role in shaping the overall design concept, expertly translating the couple’s vision into a cohesive and elevated aesthetic. The overall vibe was deeply personal and true to the couple. From Drew’s brother-in-law officiating the ceremony to the carefully curated band setlist that kept guests on the dance floor all night, every detail was designed to feel authentic, relaxed, and unmistakably them.

From the bride, Madelyn: Drew really wanted to surprise me and catch me off guard with the proposal. If you know anything about me, you know I am a really hard person to surprise, and I want to know every detail about every plan, so this wasn’t an easy task for him. He did a great job throwing me off the scent by starting to plan a fake trip to Mexico later in the summer,r so I was pretty convinced he’d propose there, but he had another plan. It was Easter weekend, and both of our parents would be in Pinehurst, NC (where I grew up), so we decided to go home that weekend. Drew had some friends in Pinehurst whom I hadn’t met yet, so he set up a “dinner” with them and me. Since I didn’t know these friends, there was no risk of my texting them and changing the plans, and he knew I would probably get dressed up since it was my first time meeting them. Before the “dinner”, he suggested we go to The Village Wine Shop,p which is one of my favorite places in Pinehurst for a glass of wine before dinner. Then he suggested we take a walk through the village. Of course, I did not want to take a walk, but reluctantly agreed to go. I wanted to cut the walk short, so I started walking back to my parents’ house, and this is where Drew realized he was running out of runway. He just stopped me on a private sidewalk and told me to slow down, and then got on one knee. I was so surprised in the best way. After he proposed, we went to dinner with both of our parents to celebrate at one of my favorite restaurants,s where I actually worked as a waitress for a summer in college. After dinner, we Facetimed all of our friends and told them the news!

The culinary experience began at cocktail hour with an elevated trio of small bites: heirloom tomato bruschetta on toasted artisan bread, crisp-seared smoked Gouda grit cakes crowned with tender shrimp, and sesame-crusted ahi tuna on wonton crisps finished with a silky wasabi cream. Dinner unfolded through a series of chef-driven stations that encouraged guests to graze and explore. The Pasta Station featured a bright summer pasta primavera tossed with grilled seasonal vegetables, alongside a classic Caesar salad with house-made herbed croutons and warm rosemary focaccia. The Mediterranean Station served lemon and herb chicken skewers, tomato and feta pearl couscous, and soft naan paired with cool tzatziki. For a heartier selection, the All-American carving station offered herb-rubbed beef tenderloin with mushroom demi-glace, buttermilk mashed potatoes, and cumin–honey glazed carrots. To keep the energy high into the late hours, the couple treated guests to a fun, food truck-style snack of griddled flour tortillas layered with melted cheese and served with salsa and sour cream, a satisfying bite after hours of dancing.

Linens from Stradley Davidson added texture and refinement, while Amazing Rentals provided the majority of the event’s rental pieces, helping to create a cohesive and thoughtfully layered design.

Surcie in Raleigh designed the wedding paper goods, adding an artistic touch that carried the aesthetic through the invitations and day-of details. For an extra personal layer, the couple incorporated custom matchboxes and cups designed by one of the bridesmaids, Casey Coulter, a meaningful contribution that made the celebration feel uniquely theirs.[/field]

For the cake, the couple opted for a petite and elegant 7-inch cutting cake by Carrie Castano of Custom Confections. The design featured white-on-white detailing with pale blue accents and delicate piping that subtly echoed the wedding’s palette. Inside, the cake was almond with raspberry compote filling and Swiss buttercream; classic, refined, and just the right size for the ceremonial slice. In addition to the cake, Custom Confections created an abundant dessert display that delighted guests throughout the evening. The assortment included Oreo truffles, rich fudge brownies, and a lineup of mini cupcakes in flavors such as almond with raspberry buttercream, chocolate with chocolate ganache, vanilla with salted caramel buttercream, red velvet with cream cheese icing, and carrot cake with walnuts. A selection of cookies: chocolate chip, peanut butter, oatmeal, Nutella, and snickerdoodle. A variety that added a nostalgic touch and ensured there truly was something for everyone.

The ceremony was officiated by Drew’s brother-in-law, who spent time speaking with friends and family to ensure it reflected the couple perfectly. Drew had dreamed of exchanging personal vows, something the bride was nervous about at first, but they became one of her favorite moments of the day. Both quoted NFL quarterback Jalen Hurts, and the room erupted when Drew said, “Keep the main thing the main thing.”

An Intimate Santa Ynez Ranch Wedding with Earth-Toned Elegance and Barnside Charm

From the beginning, I knew I wanted our wedding colors to be neutral, earth tones. A variety of greens, ivory, browns, and even some dusky pinks/purples. I wanted the space to feel intimate, warm, and comfortable. I wanted to incorporate color since it was summer season, and I wanted to do so with all my girls. They wore jewel tones and metallics. Everything really did just fall perfectly into place.

Santa Ynez Ranch is so special. My mom & I decided to make a day trip to Santa Ynez to tour some venues. The moment we drove through the gate, we knew it was the place. We were greeted by Nash, the ranch dog. I had always dreamt of getting married on a property with horses. I grew up around them, and they just bring me so much peace & comfort. & it just so happened a baby horse was being born in April before our wedding. How amazing is that? The reception space is an authentic barn, & it’s gorgeous. My mom also grew up with horses, so it was a special tribute to her in a way. The property also had guest houses, where we were able to stay for the weekend. ○ When planning and designing this day, I wasn’t necessarily focused on a “theme”. I was focused on the feeling – how I wanted our guests to feel, how I wanted Griffin and Ime and our families to feel on such a special day. I wanted our guests to know that every detail was intentional. From the handwritten letters, the music, the drinks, the space, every detail had a purpose and meaning. Our wedding day was going to be special to us, no matter where we were. I wanted our people to feel it too. With that all in mind, the details came easily. Creating a space, hosting, and bringing people together have always been so important to me. I love the way you can make people feel through a space. I truly had dreamt of this day since I was a little girl.

I love reflecting on our proposal, because it truly was all Griffin. I couldn’t have dreamt up a more perfect day. We got engaged in our hometown, Long Beach, CA. Griffin & I met when we were 14. We were friends for years before we started dating. We both grew up here, we met here, we fell in love here, and one day we will raise our children here. Long Beach is so special to us and who we are. Griffin planned the most incredible proposal; it was so unique to us. I came home that (very rainy) morning to my best friend standing in my kitchen, with a bottle of champagne and a handwritten letter from Griffin. It was the beginning of a scavenger hunt through our city, the stops along the way included our favorite spots, meals, and people. & each stop included a letter from him. My sister and my other best friend met us at a stop. My friends & I always joke that he basically just planned the most epic girls’ day for us, until the final letter led me to Griff. & at this point, the rain had completely stopped, clear blue skies. He was waiting with our dog at a spot in Long Beach that overlooks the peninsula, a spot we have grown up going to together. He even arranged for our photographer, Hayleigh, to be there and capture it. After the proposal, Griffin had planned an entire surprise engagement party with our closest family and friends. Our wedding day was, of course, one of the best days of our lives, but I’m not sure many things will top proposal day.

I wore Vivienne Westwood, the Nova Camille, from Loho Bride. I think I always knew I wanted to wear one of her gowns. I love the vintage feel behind her dresses; she truly is a one-of-a-kind designer. Her dresses are unique, yet classic and timeless. & when I started wedding dress shopping, I learned I really loved a corset, and hers are just so good. The second I put on the dress, I knew it was the dress I was going to wear on our wedding day. It had all the details that I didn’t know I wanted in my wedding gown. I also got my veil from Loho Bride, by Homa. I knew I wanted lace/floral details in my veil. It was just perfect. I love that veil so much. My experience at Loho Bride was amazing. The team there is incredible, and so good at what they do.

I wanted my girls to feel comfortable and themselves. They all have such good style, and it’s their own. So I trusted them to pick their own dresses. The only guidance I gave was “jewel tones”. My sister, who was my Maid of Honor, wore a stunning Retrofete metallic dress. It was perfect because it allowed us to stand out. My mom also wore metallic. It all tied together so well.

We used Field to Table, and they are absolutely incredible. The process with them was seamless and fully customized. Down to our favorite apps, and late-night pizza, they made fresh in the pizza oven at Santa Ynez Ranch. We worked with Alex, and he was just the best. Alex & the entire Field to Table team are so good at what they do. To this day, we still get compliments on how good our wedding food was. ○ For drink, we worked with Fig&Feather. Claudia is amazing. This was also a fully customizable experience. Our signature drinks were a Hugo Spritz & a Lavender Margarita. We are tequila drinkers, so we knew a margarita had to be in the mix. Our venue has the most beautiful lavender field, and there are tons in the area. So Claudia brought our vision to life. Another little intentional detail that we loved. We also offered specialized virgin drinks & a coffee bar. It was important to us that our non-drinkers had a special, one-of-a-kind experience as well. The coffee cart was a hit, and Bottega Bar has the cutest setup and the most delicious coffee.

I had the best time curating the details of our day. I miss every little moment. Pinstripe linens, minimally detailed flatware, drapery, and natural, organic florals. & of course, a green checkered dance floor lit up by disco balls (we take a dance floor very seriously around here). ○ Guests entered the venue, greeted with a spritz or lemonade. For the ceremony, the space didn’t need much. I didn’t want the beauty of the venue to be overlooked. I wanted the space to feel soft and romantic. A curved aisle lined with florals, & a “floral meadow” at the altar. ○ Guests entered the cocktail hour in the courtyard. It was an indoor/outdoor space. I loved the bar room at our venue. Outside,e we had our cocktail tables with green pinstripe linens. Griffin & I also did our entrance during cocktail hour. This is our favorite part of a wedding; we obviously did not want to miss it. Each guest had a personal handwritten letter from me & Griffin. This was a labor of love, but worth every second. In the months leading up to the wedding, we genuinely loved doing this. It allowed us to reflect on every person that was a part of the day, our relationship & memories with them, and how special they are to us. I remember Griffin & I sitting at the dining room table in tears, thinking about how lucky we are to be surrounded by so much love and have a love that was supported by so many. We were, and are, so beyond grateful. ○ The reception was in the barn. Again, we loved our venue so much that I really didn’t want to take away from it. I wanted to add to it, to bring in decor that fit the space. We added drapery to warm up the space & add some romance. The tables were a warm ivory linen, with brown pinstripe napkins. Our dance floor was green & white checkered, with disco balls. I wanted the dance floor to be lit up by disco balls (a very specific request of mine). Hayleigh captured the best photos of this. Bella Vista Designs did an incredible job with the drapery & disco balls. We got all our other rentals from Premier Party Rents, including the custom dance floor. I had an incredible experience working with this company. ○ Kayla, our florist, is such an artist. She is so incredibly talented. She brought it all to life. The florals tied the entire space and my vision together. We focused on anthuriums, amaranthus, and cala lilies. She was such a pleasure to work with and exceeded my floral expectations. ○ I made a conscious effort to make the wedding planning process more than just that. Griffin & I made date nights out of everything. And my mom & I got to spend so much time together. She came to all the meetings, tasting, and mock-ups. She was so supportive, and I could tell how much it all meant to her. It was such a special, surreal time. It meant so much to me, the type of memories you hold onto for a lifetime. I get so emotional looking back on it all.

We wanted a way to honor our grandparents during the ceremony. We are both so close to our grandparents. My grandpa was a high school football coach and principal. So he’s a natural when it comes to public speaking. He did a reading during the ceremony (using no notes, might I add), advising on love & marriage. My grandma & him have been married for 60 years, so they know a thing or two. It was so special and very emotional to have him up there with us. ○ Our very good friend, who is more like family, married us. We know our love, when we decided to have a wedding, it was because we wanted to share it. Those 30 minutes were the most present I have ever felt. Time stood still. Music was one of the most important details to me. I love curating playlists. Music is so nostalgic. I love how one song can take you back to a single moment. Reliving all the emotions felt in that moment. I spent months before the wedding curating playlists for each part of the day, listening to them in order. I really thought about the mood I wanted to create for every part. I still have all the playlists, & I love being able to listen to them, reliving it all. ○ Griffin and his boys walked down the aisle to River by Leon Bridges. We love his music, and this album played such a huge role in our relationship over the years. My girls walked down the aisle to Amsterdam by Gregory Alan Isakov. The groomsmen and the bridesmaids walked down the aisle individually. Griffin obviously has a special relationship with each of his boys, but he also has a personal relationship with each of my girls. He had a small moment up there with every one of them, and it was so special. He totally cried the entire time. I walked down the aisle with my dad. We walked to Sweet Disposition by The Temper Trap. While I wanted this moment to be emotional, I also wanted it to be exciting. This is one of my favorite songs, and it creates that feeling exactly. ○ We walked back down the aisle Are You Gonna Be My Girl by Jet. Another one of my favorite songs, and by this point, we were on such a high. We wanted a song that expressed that. ○ Our first dance was Harvest Moon by Neil Young. I grew up listening to Neil Young and Bob Dylan. Two of my favorite artists, their music is so nostalgic to me. Neil Young was obviously the more appropriate artist for a wedding song over Bob Dylan. I danced with my dad to Warm Love by Van Morrison, another big artist from my childhood. Griffin & his mom danced to How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You) by James Taylor. A very special artist to both of them. ○ Our final song of the night was Fat Bottomed Girls by Queen. Griffin’s choice, and he wasn’t budging on this one.

Tommy knocked it out of the park! After he got home from being deployed overseas, we took a vacation to Europe. On our trip, he wanted to check out this small town in Austria and take a gondola ride up to this mountain. We got snacks to have a picnic up there, and he asked me to marry him on a mountain in Austria. It was so thoughtful and special, l and just the two of us. He had this wonderful boutique hotel booked for us that night and an incredible tasting dinner. It was magic. I couldn’t speak for 2 days, I was so awe-struck. He was genuinely concerned because usually I talk a lot. :)

Custom designed by White on Daniel Island. I love a halter, and there were very few out there that I could find that I liked. Most stores only had 1-2 styles of halters on the rack, and I wasn’t finding what I wanted. A girlfriend of mine recommended White on Daniel Island, and I called and set up an appointment after striking out at quite a few stores and getting a bit discouraged. I met Jodi Moylan and showed her my vision, and she brought it to life. Not only was working with her an absolute blast, but she is down-to-earth and made the experience so fun. My mom also pulled her wedding dress out of the box it had been stored in for over 30 years, and Jodi’s store turned it into a mini dress for m,e also. I wore it to our welcome party Friday night and for dancing Saturday. It was so special to be able to wear my Mom’s dress for part of the weekend!

Downtown Catering out of Bluffton, South Carolina, did catering. Working with them was lovely, they were on it and so professional and fun! Guests were greeted with champagne or Pellegrino when they arrived pre-ceremony. Open bar with all the liquor, beer & wine options. We did a seated dinner with options of filet mignon, salmon, or a vegetarian pasta. Started with salads. Had passed hors d’oeuvre,s first of artichoke bruschetta and tuna sashimi nachos. Had a charcuterie display as well for cocktail hour. Did have a late-night snack of cheese quesadillas and chicken sliders with Gatorade. Those came in very handy at the end of the night!

So while working for Ashley Rhodes for many years and helping her with weddings, I had the pleasure of meeting Emily Wildes of Em Creative Floral. I have known her since I was probably 1,6 and her florals are gorgeous. She’s got an incredible team. My vision was candlelight and all whites and greens on the tables. I also really wanted to be able to donate some of the flowers the next day to nursing homes or have friends take some home. They were beautiful and fresh, and the tables were absolutely stunning with them.

Sheridan proposed to Shakye on April 20, 2024, a date rich with meaning and symbolism. The date itself was a palindrome—42024—marking the beginning of ten consecutive palindrome days and symbolizing their ten years together. It also fell on Sheridan’s late father Cornell’s birthday, proposing a heartfelt way to honor his presence and legacy in such a meaningful moment. The timing aligned with UVA’s Black Alumni Weekend, allowing the couple to return to Charlottesville, where they first met, without raising suspicion. Sheridan proposed at Mount Ida Reserve Vineyard, where the Blue Ridge Mountain views mirrored the significance of the moment. After Shakye said yes, she was surprised by family and friends from near and far waiting to celebrate, making the proposal both intimate and joyfully communal.

Shakye wore the Stella gown from Designer Loft Bridal in New York City for the ceremony. When the ballroom opened, and she and Sheridan were introduced for the start of the evening’s celebration, she changed into the Jupiter gown by Dovita Milano from Ava Laurenne Bride in Virginia, a striking look that set the tone for the night ahead. Later in the evening, as the dance floor came fully alive, Shakye slipped into her second reception dress, the Nova Fringe Mini Dress by Albina Dyla, shimmering with movement and giving the impression she was draped in strings of diamonds, a moment that had guests cheering and celebrating alongside her.

Food and drink were an intentional extension of the guest experience, thoughtfully curated by Dover Hall’s in-house catering team. During cocktail hour, guests enjoyed passed hors d’oeuvres including lobster rolls as a nod to Shakye’s Boston roots, fried chicken croquettes finished with lavender honey, fried garlic, and Parmigiano Reggiano, and New Zealand lamb chops served with chermoula and kecap. Signature cocktails added a personal touch, with a mezcal old-fashioned selected for him and a lavender French 75 chosen for her, setting the tone for the evening ahead. As dinner was served, guests were treated to a thoughtfully composed menu that balanced comfort and refinement. Entrées included miso honey-glazed salmon with dill roasted potatoes and sesame green beans, housemade three cheese tortellini with cream sauce, blistered tomatoes, crispy oyster mushrooms, Parmesan Reggiano, and fried garlic, and peppercorn crusted beef tenderloin accompanied by roasted garlic pomme purée, charred onion, crispy oyster mushrooms, and truffle bordelaise. The meal unfolded seamlessly, complementing the rhythm and warmth of the celebration

Each floral moment enhanced Dover Hall’s grandeur while maintaining an effortless, romantic feel. After the celebration, Shakye and Sheridan donated their florals to VCU Children’s Hospital, offering a small gesture of beauty and joy to the children receiving care there.

As the evening unfolded, Shakye spontaneously led guests in a spirited rendition of UVA’s “The Good Ole Song,” bringing school pride and nostalgia to the dance floor. Line dances quickly became a crowd favorite, and even Cleo, the couple’s cat, made a playful appearance in cardboard cutout form during dinner and dancing.

The couple’s wedding date held profound significance, falling on the birthday of Shakye’s late stepfather, who passed away in July 2024. A steady and loving presence since she was four years old, his memory was felt throughout the day. When Shakye’s mother and grandmother were unexpectedly hospitalized during the wedding, she honored them by wearing cherished family heirlooms—including their blue-stoned rings—and attaching their photographs to her bouquet, allowing them to walk beside her in spirit. The couple also honored loved ones who have passed with a memorial table during the reception.

A Color-Blocked Vail Wedding Weekend Inspired by Wildflowers and Joyful Connection

Rather than set wedding colors, we were inspired by wildflowers that grow all over Vail, and Callista & Co embraced bright color blocking throughout the wedding day design. We infused color into every corner of the weekend. Marisa always said she wanted to look out at a crowd full of our people and see vibrancy and life, not a sea of black and white attire, so we encouraged our guests to embrace our “Colorful Cocktail” attire and bring the full spectrum of joy to the celebration. The result was exactly what we hoped for: a weekend overflowing with color, connection, and so much LOVE.

From the brides: Our vision was to create a wedding weekend that felt like an elevated summer camp that was playful, immersive, and centered around connection. We imagined our guests arriving, parking their cars once, and then exploring the entire celebration on foot and by gondola for the rest of the weekend. We loved the idea of everyone being together in a small, walkable village where spontaneous run-ins and new friendships could form outside of the formal events. Above all, we wanted the weekend to feel deeply personal and reflective of who we are as a couple. Every decision came back to guest experience and making the people we love feel seen, appreciated, and part of something joyful. For our seating assignments, we wrote individual letters to each guest, which became one of our favorite details. The whole experience felt immersive and intentional, and exactly the kind of experience we wanted to share with the people we love. We feel endlessly grateful for our supportive family and friends, and for the INCREDIBLE team that helped bring the weekend to life. One of the most meaningful things we learned throughout the process was how special the relationships became with the people who helped shape our day. Working with our photographer Rebecca Yale, our planner Callista Osborn of Callista & Co., florist Kailey Coovert of Perfect Petal, and stationer Katie Mason of Mason Jones made the entire journey feel richer, more joyful, and surprisingly effortless. We look back on our wedding often with huge smiles and the happiest tears, just so thankful for every single moment.

From the brides: We always say our proposal story is perfectly “us,” because somehow we both ended up secretly planning engagements at the same time. Over some XL margaritas in mid-2023, we casually agreed that Lynette would be the one to propose, not realizing that both of us had already started quietly putting plans in motion. Lynette asked Marisa’s dad for his blessing during a Michigan football game at Ashley’s bar in Ann Arbor, which felt like the most fitting backdrop for her U of M alumn family. The moment arrived on December 26th morning in Marisa’s hometown of Grand Rapids, MI. The ring Lynette proposed with was originally Marisa’s mother’s. Marisa always knew the ring existed, but had absolutely no idea Lynette had asked her family for it or had it subtly redesigned to feel like her own. We took a quiet walk around Reeds Lake, and Lynette proposed right on the water. A few minutes later, we wandered to the oldest restaurant in town, where Marisa’s entire family was gathered to surprise and celebrate with us. What Lynette didn’t realize was that Marisa had already been working with a jeweler, completely in secret. Marisa left Lynette’s ring in Chicago but arranged for her cousins to take a detour through Chicago on the way to Michigan and surprised Lynette a couple of days later by presenting her own engagement ring! We wrapped up the whirlwind by heading to Miami to celebrate the New Year as fiancées!

From the brides: It really is true with the person that you marry that “when you know, you know,” and apparently, the same thing goes for wedding dresses. Lynette found hers at a boutique in New York City and immediately connected with the clean, modern style of a Japanese designer, Tamomi Okubo, whose work felt perfect. Marisa also found her dress in New York City at Amsale. She originally thought she had chosen “the one,” but in classic Marisa fashion, she made a last-minute switch when another gown made her light up in a completely different way. We wanted our dresses to complement each other without feeling overly coordinated, so we recruited our sisters as our personal fashion approval squad. They reviewed everything to make sure the dresses felt harmonious and true to who we are. For the record, Marisa tried on sixteen dresses and embraced every moment of the process (champagne, too!).

The bridesmaids selected their own dresses and were encouraged to embrace bright and cheerful colors. The bridesmaids held posy monofloral bouquets, which they purposefully paired in contrast with their dresses while getting ready on the wedding morning. Each menu was wrapped with an evil eye, another nod to Marisa’s family’s Greek heritage and a detail that was also present at her older sister’s wedding (also planned by Callista and photographed by Rebecca Yale). A shot glass full of Metaxa was at each guest’s seat, and the festivities commenced with a group toast, another Greek tradition. The evening ended with traditional Greek dancing, and of course, more Metaxa.

The ceremony took place at the Holy Cross Event Deck with 360-degree views of the Vail Valley and Gore Mountain Range with snow-capped mountains in the distance. The ceremony was officiated by Marisa’s brother-in-law and Lynette’s brother, and Marisa’s brother served as their koumbaro for their traditional Greek stefana crown ceremony. Post-ceremony, the brides led an impromptu procession across the mountain top, leading their guests to the shuttles that would take them to the other side of the mountain for the reception on the 10th. Guests enjoyed a cocktail hour on the deck, watching the alpine glow as the sunset lit up the mountains. The brides opted for personalized escort cards, handwriting notes to each of their guests thanking them for attending. They continued their love for color with color-blocked reception tables, each round table having a different color centerpiece, and the center banquet tables having rainbow bud vases and candles.

For our ceremony and reception, we chose pieces that felt genuinely connected to us and to the setting. Our first dance was to “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough,” a song we dance and sing to in our kitchen at least once a week, sometimes more. It also felt especially fitting, surrounded by the mountains in Vail. After the first minute of dancing together, we invited everyone to join us on the dance floor, which instantly set the tone for the night and brought all the energy we wanted. Our shared bridesmaid read “Blessing for a Marriage,” a beautiful piece about the landscape of love and partnership that felt so aligned with the day. Lynette’s brother and Marisa’s brother-in-law co-officiated the ceremony, which made everything feel incredibly personal and rooted in family. We also wrote our own vows, and sharing those words we crafted for each other ended up being one of the most meaningful moments of the weekend. Everything felt thoughtful, heartfelt, and full of love.

There were so many moments that felt uniquely “us,” but a few stand out in the most meaningful way. One of our favorite details was handwriting letters to each of our guests. We wanted every person to know exactly why they mattered to us and why having them with us at the top of the mountain meant so much. Seeing people open those letters throughout the night was incredibly special. The brides chose to have a private first look by the river behind their hotel, enjoying a moment of calm in nature before the festivities began. They made their way up the mountain in a gondola, where they read a note from the bride’s aunt given to them the evening before for the journey to the top.

Our welcome party was full of western wear, which set the tone for a fun, relaxed, let ’s-do-this weekend. On the wedding day, all of our guests rode a gondola up the mountain for the ceremony, which created this magical shared sense of arrival and anticipation. Afterward, everyone was bused across to the opposite side of the mountain for cocktail hour and the reception, giving them an entirely new view of Vail. At the end of the night, we took a different gondola back down, which felt like the perfect exhale after such an unforgettable celebration.

We also incorporated a Greek tradition known as the Stefana, which felt especially meaningful to us. The Stefana are wedding crowns connected by a ribbon and symbolize unity, honor, and the shared journey of marriage. The Koumbaro, or sponsor of the crowns, was Marisa’s brother, Steven, making the moment even more special. Marisa comes from a large Greek family that deeply values tradition, and it was important to us to share that part of her heritage with our family and friends.

A Classic Lake Como Wedding with All-Black Attire and Candlelit Garden Romance

Wedding colors: light pink, green, and white. The vision for the wedding was to be classic and timeless. We focused on colors and design that would be elegant and formal. We wanted the beautiful scenery of Lake Como to be the main design focus. We had an all-black attire for guests and the wedding party to achieve a classic wedding feel. With the help of Parade Wedding planning, my vision and design for the wedding came to life.

The design vision was rooted in timeless Italian elegance, with a seamless flow between the ceremony at Villa del Balbianello and the reception at Relais Villa Vittoria. The entire creative concept, planning, and execution were thoughtfully curated by Parade Wedding, who brought the couple’s vision to life with a refined and cohesive approach. The ceremony embraced the iconic beauty of Villa del Balbianello, allowing its historic architecture, manicured gardens, and panoramic views over Lake Como to take center stage. The floral design was soft and sophisticated, enhancing the natural surroundings without ever overpowering them. For the reception at Relais Villa Vittoria, the atmosphere transformed into an intimate and romantic garden celebration. Candlelight, lush floral installations, and organic arrangements created a warm and inviting ambiance that felt elegant yet effortless. Every design choice was intentional, classic, understated, and deeply connected to the surrounding landscape, allowing the beauty of Lake Como to remain the true focal point throughout the entire day.

Our proposal story was months in the making, with a little help from my mom to make sure everything went according to plan. To keep it a surprise, they planned a graduation photo shoot since I had just graduated in a quiet park surrounded by nature. While I was focused on taking photos and had no idea what was coming, he snuck up behind me. When the moment felt right, he got down on one knee and proposed. It was such a surprise — simple, intimate, and full of love — a moment we’ll never forget.

Florals were provided by Figli dei fiori for the ceremony and Petali di Alice for the reception. We wanted a cohesive classic look for the flowers, using only light pinks, greens, and white. For the ceremony, beautiful flowers lined the aisle. A cascading flower scape was used for the reception table. We wanted the flowers to accentuate the beautiful scenery Lake Como provided.

The wedding cake was a two-tier vanilla cake with Chantilly cream and berries. The cake was decorated with a floral pattern with fresh flowers on top to match the ceremony flowers.

For the music, we had a string quartet play an instrumental version of our chosen songs. The groom and wedding party walked down the aisle to I Can’t Help Falling in Love by Elvis Presley. The bride walked down the aisle to Oceans by Hillsong United. During the vows, Flightless Bird by American Mouth. For the first kiss and aisle exit, Accidentally in Love by Counting Crows played. The reception entrance was to Adore You by Harry Styles. The first dance was to When I Look at You by Miley Cyrus.

A special detail of the wedding was writing our own vows to speak to each other during the ceremony. It was such a special moment to share our vows in front of our closest friends and family.

The bride arrived via a separate boat with the father of the bride and made a grand entrance up to where the ceremony took place. The overall vision was one of relaxed sophistication: quiet luxury in the Greek summer. The celebration was thoughtfully curated by the wedding planner as a three-day wedding experience, allowing friends and family who traveled from across the world to slow down, connect, and truly be present. The experience began with an intimate boat outing aboard a vintage wooden vessel, where close friends and relatives gathered to enjoy the sea and sun together. This was followed by a rehearsal dinner and pre-wedding celebration at a marina in the Athenian Riviera, set against the water and golden light of the coast. The experience culminated in a magnificent wedding day—an emotional ceremony, an elegant reception, and a high-energy celebration that carried on into the early morning hours, filled with joyful dancing and unforgettable moments. Our ceremony and reception decor guests to linger, connect, and celebrate. Rooted in natural textures and soft tones, the design perfectly mirrored the couple’s love story—elegant, joyful, and deeply meaningful—set against the timeless beauty of a Greek summer evening.

Sometimes love doesn’t arrive early—it arrives exactly on time. Both proudly Greek, Michael and Simone grew up just fifteen minutes apart, their lives quietly running parallel without ever crossing. It wasn’t until later in life, when experience had shaped them and their stars finally aligned, that fate stepped in and introduced them. What followed was effortless: two ambitious souls, bound by laughter, shared values, and an endless, undeniable love for one another. Their Greek heritage has always been at the heart of who they are. As Greeks living in Chicago, their roots have remained deeply important—something to be honored, celebrated, and passed on. Choosing Greece as their wedding destination felt less like a decision and more like a homecoming. A return to the land that shaped their families, their traditions, and ultimately, their love story. Michael proposed in Paros in September 2024, surrounded by the beauty of the Aegean—an unforgettable moment that made it only fitting they would return the following summer to begin their marriage. With friends and family traveling from across the world to celebrate alongside them, their wedding became more than a union of two people; it became a gathering of generations, cultures, and hearts, all meeting under the Greek sun. Every detail was intentional yet unfussy, striking a balance between romance and simplicity. The ceremony was framed by a lush, floral arch overflowing with white, blush, and soft green blooms. Designed in a rounded, organic form, the installation felt both grand and natural, seamlessly blending into the surrounding landscape while creating a romantic focal point against the blue sky and coastal backdrop. A statement floral aisle stretched the length of the ceremony space, creating a dramatic and intentional pathway for Simone to walk with her father as she was given away.

During the cocktail hour, a talented jazz trio filled the air with sophisticated, lively melodies, creating an atmosphere that was both relaxed and refined. As dinner began, our DJ provided gentle lounge sounds, allowing conversation and laughter to flow effortlessly across the tables. Once the evening turned into a celebration, the energy soared. Professional Greek dancers took center stage, delivering a dazzling performance that captivated everyone and guests—Greek and American alike—onto the dance floor. The night reached its peak with an extraordinary live band, whose high-energy performance carried the celebration well into the early hours, ensuring that every guest experienced a party to remember. The combination of curated performances and spontaneous dancing created a seamless blend of elegance, culture, and pure joy.

One of the most touching and intimate moments of the evening came during her dance with her father—a beautiful moment that spoke volumes, full of love, pride, and emotion. And naturally, that led to the next unforgettable moment: her first dance with her husband. In that dance, she radiated pure joy, love, and connection, a moment that perfectly captured the essence of their relationship and left every guest smiling, teary-eyed, and inspired by their love.

Dancing has always been a central part of their lives, and their Greek heritage made it even more meaningful to weave it into the celebration. In a completely unforgettable surprise, professional Greek dancers appeared in traditional uniforms, delivering a breathtaking, choreographed performance that left everyone in awe. But the magic didn’t stop there. The dancers stayed to lead one of the most entertaining and hilarious moments of the evening: teaching the groom and his friends some intricate traditional steps and difficult dance moves, guiding them step by step with patience and humor. Their efforts, full of energy and good spirit, were a delight for all guests and set the tone for what came next—a massive, joyous circle of dancing, cheering, and laughter that included everyone, Greek and American alike. It was a perfect blend of tradition, fun, and togetherness, creating a moment that no one will ever forget.

During the design process, the couple shared with their wedding planner a special request: they wanted their entire family and bridal party—50 people in total—seated at the head table. To make this possible while keeping the design exquisite, we created a stunning serpentine table that wound gracefully through the space, allowing everyone to be included while maintaining an intimate, connected feeling. The table itself became a centerpiece of the design, its flowing shape adding both movement and elegance to the venue. Above it, grand, impressive chandeliers hung like jewels, casting a warm, luxurious glow over the dinner and elevating the entire aesthetic. The serpentine layout not only solved the logistical challenge but also created a visually striking moment that balanced scale, intimacy, and style—a perfect reflection of the couple’s sophisticated yet warm celebration.

The bride and groom both agreed that delicious food was an important part of the reception, as many times wedding food is usually forgotten about afterwards. All of their guests thoroughly enjoyed the dishes we selected and graciously asked for second servings!

Lilla knocked it out of the park. Lilla Florals curated an organic yet refined floral design, featuring lush white blooms with precious flowers and abundant greenery that complemented the historic Tuscan setting.

The wedding cake, also from Galateo, was a made-to-order Millefoglie cake with Chantilly Cream, Almond Brittle, and Wild Berries on Top. Guests were treated to a live cake-making experience as the caterers assembled the cake by layer, and then it was finished off with the fresh berries and powdered sugar. As Kit & Vinny were cutting the cake, cold sparklers went off, and champagne was passed around to the guests.

The ceremony was officiated by the bride’s aunt. She read a beautiful passage from the First Corinthians, Chapter 13, verses 4-7, which sums up love in the most perfect way – “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.” For the music at the ceremony and aperitivo, there were two violinists from Bravo.

Favoring a simple yet chic approach, she allowed the palette to unfold naturally through fresh greenery and soft yellow blooms, creating a look that felt effortlessly elegant and true to place.

From the bride, Christina: Anthony and I were vacationing in Palm Beach over the Fourth of July. We had dinner reservations at the hotel where we were staying, and earlier that day, he casually asked if I wanted to ‘take pictures on the beach before dinner’, as every man does on vacation, lol. We walked down to the sand, and when we reached the perfect spot, Anthony got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. We took beautiful photos together, then celebrated with a lovely dinner and lots of champagne. It’s still one of my favorite vacations, aside from maybe our honeymoon now, and what made it especially meaningful was having the time to take it all in just the two of us.

The bride’s gown was selected at The White Magnolia in Charleston, chosen from the boutique’s own collection. What began as a simple, no-pressure outing with her mother to explore silhouettes quickly unfolded into the moment every bride secretly hopes for. The very first gown Christina stepped into felt as though it had been waiting for her. With the decision made, the remaining bridal appointments were canceled. Originally, Christina’s sister and grandmothers were meant to join her for the full dress-shopping experience. Still, the magical find turned their visit into a heartfelt “dress reveal” at The White Magnolia, allowing them to share in the excitement together. Alterations were completed by Forget Me Knot Alterations.

The bridesmaids wore dresses from AW Bridal in the shade Fennel Seed. Christina knew she wanted a green tone that felt fresh and modern, something not quite sage but not olive either, and this in-between hue was the perfect match. The collection offered a range of styles, allowing each bridesmaid to choose a silhouette she felt beautiful in while still keeping the overall look cohesive. A welcome bonus: every dress came with built-in padding.

Signature sips added a playful, personal touch to the celebration, with Cowboy’s Cocktails, named after the couple’s beloved cat, featuring a skinny margarita and a classic transfusion. A full bar rounded out the offerings, with Aperol spritzes quickly becoming a guest favorite. Hors d’oeuvres struck the perfect balance of sea and land, led by a traveling raw bar with fresh oysters and shrimp, alongside mini crab cakes, chicken and waffles, and bite-sized tomato pies. For dinner, guests selected from a trio of crowd-pleasing entrées: New York strip steak, salmon, or ricotta ravioli, each served with creamy Parmesan farro and spicy Brussels sprouts. Adding a meaningful nod to family heritage, the groom’s Italian roots were honored with cookies shipped straight from a beloved bakery in his hometown of Scerni.

To complete the look, Curated Events Charleston and Snyder Rentals provided elevated rentals that struck the perfect balance between timeless and airy, while Mackenzie Event Lighting added warm, ambient lighting to enhance the romantic garden feel as the evening transitioned into night.[/field]

When it came to the wedding cake, the couple opted for a timeless classic. A rich red velvet cake paired with traditional wedding cream cheese frosting felt both nostalgic and effortlessly elegant. Choosing Publix was a natural decision, proof that sometimes the simplest choices are the sweetest.

One of the bride’s greatest joys during the planning process was dreaming up custom details that made the celebration feel deeply personal, especially those created hand in hand with her parents. Thoughtful nods to sentiment and place were woven throughout the day, from oyster shells lovingly collected, bleached, and hand-painted by her parents, to bespoke cornhole boards crafted by her father and adorned with the couple’s custom wedding crest. Her mother echoed the same design through delicately embroidered cocktail napkins, tying each detail together with intention. These heartfelt, handmade touches became some of the most meaningful elements of the day.

The bride was equally grateful for her mother’s boundless creativity and a well-stocked craft room that became the heart of their planning process. Together, they designed and handcrafted all of the day-of paper goods, from the welcome and bar signs to the ceremony programs, place cards, and menus. They also created custom wedding favors, including matchboxes featuring a drawing of the couple’s beloved cat, Cowboy, along with personalized keychains and air fresheners. Creating these thoughtful details side by side became one of the most meaningful parts of the planning journey.
