A Mediterranean Editorial at Braccialieri with Sun-Bleached Neutrals, Olive Groves, and Sicilian Color

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”The Inspiration”]

Tucked within an archaeological olive grove of centuries-old trees just outside Noto, Sicily, this luxury destination wedding photography workshop at Braccialieri was born from a desire to celebrate the layered beauty of Mediterranean living. A world where tradition, nature, and contemporary design meet with quiet elegance. A place where refinement doesn’t shout, and luxury feels grounded in the land itself. From the beginning, the creative direction centered on contrast. Elegant yet playful, elevated yet earthy, timeless with a touch of modern irreverence. Because in Italy, beauty often lives in the in-between.

[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]

The color story was crafted to reflect the soulful essence of Sicily, sun-warmed, emotionally rich, and texturally grounded in the landscape. At its core were ivory and soft, sun-bleached neutrals, echoing the limestone architecture and the quiet elegance of Mediterranean light. Muted terracotta and earthy browns anchored the editorial in something raw and honest, a tactile nod to the Sicilian soil. Olive green, drawn directly from the surrounding groves, introduced an organic counterpoint, both grounding and alive. To complement this restrained base, pops of red, a reference to Braccialieri’s now-iconic checkerboard pool, added moments of playful tension. These editorial gestures never felt forced. They were rooted in place, designed to surprise the eye without overwhelming it. This philosophy extended into the pre-wedding table design, set within the venue’s intimate bar area. Inspired by the white lotus, the tablescape embraced a bold, maximalist pattern, layered with handwritten plates, sculptural florals, and local elements like garlic, onions, and tomatoes. Each color was chosen not to match, but to harmonize, creating a palette that felt both unexpected and deeply native to the land. In the end, the color didn’t perform; it punctuated. A restrained vibrancy that whispered presence and personality, rather than shouting for attention.

[/field]
[field title=”The Venue”]

Set into the rolling countryside just beyond Noto, Braccialieri is more than a venue… It’s a shared home suspended between past and future. Built within an archaeological olive grove of centuries-old trees, this luxury eco-glamping retreat blends soulful restraint with contemporary design, inviting guests into a world where presence, memory, and sensory richness quietly converge. Its philosophy of luxury through simplicity guided every creative decision. The architecture is essential and luminous: clean lines, soft filtered light, and a rhythm of raw textures against refined gestures. Nothing shouts. Everything breathes. What defines Braccialieri is not grandeur, but emotional geometry. The softness of its spaces, the warmth of the stone, and the intimacy of its layout make it feel both elevated and grounded. Every corner, from the olive garden ceremony site to the angular dinner table woven around the trees, was curated to echo the venue’s ethos: intimate, earthy, and deeply rooted in Sicilian heritage. At the heart of the estate lies its most iconic feature: a red-and-white checkerboard pool, a bold reinterpretation of traditional Sicilian kitchen tiles, designed by Alessandro Enriquez. Surrounded by vibrant parasols and nostalgic patterns, the space feels at once playful and cinematic… a visual anchor that brought editorial energy to the story. Braccialieri doesn’t just host a wedding. It holds space for stories to unfold with elegance, ease, and soul.

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]The bridal gown was a quiet statement in architectural grace… a silhouette defined by clean lines, luminous silk, and sculptural restraint. Understated at first glance, it revealed its depth through structure: a corset-inspired bodice that framed the figure with precision, and a bold front slit that added a whisper of irreverence to its otherwise timeless form.

Paired with a cathedral-length veil edged in delicate lace, the look became a dialogue between tradition and modernity. A nod to Sicilian romance.

Minimal in spirit yet rich in presence, the gown moved effortlessly through the olive grove landscape, catching light with every step, its fabric glowing softly against the sun-warmed stone.

This was bridal elegance with intention. Feminine without being precious. Powerful without excess.[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Party”]

The final part of the celebration unfolded around Braccialieri’s most iconic feature: its red-and-white checkerboard pool, a playful homage to vintage Sicilian kitchen tiles, reimagined with bold modernity. It became the natural stage for a sunset wedding party that felt both editorial and emotionally alive. Graphic elements and vivid tones set the tone: whimsical red inflatables shaped like sun-kissed tomatoes, blue-and-white retro-striped rubber rings marked with La Dolce Vita, and the vibrant contrast of sun, water, and wild olive groves as the backdrop. These touches weren’t just playful; they were a nod to Sicilian humor and design boldness, balanced by an undercurrent of elegance and restraint. Guests, styled in crisp monochromes and flowing silhouettes, drifted between cocktails, laughter, and spontaneous dancing, embodying the kind of relaxed glamour that defines a truly Italian celebration. The bride, radiant in sheer lace with a daring slit, and the groom, effortless in white and beige, embraced the carefree spirit of the evening. It felt like a stylish Italian vacation… nostalgic, yet undeniably modern. This poolside gathering was more than a party. It was a sensory experience: visual, emotional, tactile. A tribute to joy, to place, and to the art of celebration done well.

[section title=”The Details”]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]The floral design for this editorial was imagined as a natural extension of Braccialieri’s landscape… instinctive, textural, and emotionally in tune with the rhythm of the land. Nothing was overly arranged or ornamental. Instead, the approach leaned into garden-wild elegance: florals that felt like they belonged there all along.

The palette was grounded in the elements of Sicily: muted greens drawn from the olive groves, soft blush tones that echoed sun-faded plaster and bougainvillea, and earthy siennas and russets that spoke of terracotta, aged wood, and sun-warmed stone.

At the ceremony, a joyful installation of oversized paper florals added a touch of whimsy and movement to the gardens. This unexpected element introduced color and lightness without overwhelming the setting… a celebration of nature’s palette, reinterpreted with playful artistry.

Across the tables, florals were kept low and sprawling, woven organically into the tablescapes. Hydrangea heads nestled into airy grasses, while textured foliage meandered between ceramics, lights, and custom fabrics, forming a living narrative of color and form. Nothing felt placed, everything felt grown.

The overall floral language was quiet yet evocative: editorial, but never forced. Intimate, yet grounded. A celebration of imperfection and instinct… blooms that moved with the wind, responded to the light, and belonged wholly to the soil and spirit of Sicily.[/field]
[field title=”Favorite Design Element”]

Among the most memorable design moments, the cake stood out as a bold sculptural statement… a contemporary homage to classical form and feminine strength. The main wedding cake was hand-carved to resemble a fragmented torso. Draped folds mimicked soft fabric in motion, transforming it into something far beyond dessert… an installation in its own right. Positioned atop an oversized terracotta urn and framed by silk, florals, and filtered light, it became an object of quiet intrigue. Next to it, a second creation took the shape of a traditional Sicilian Moor’s Head, sculpted entirely in chocolate and finished with delicate macarons in sun-baked tones of olive, ivory, and umber. Both designs played on the edge of irreverence and elegance, blending strong visual identity with tactile richness… grounding the editorial in something unforgettable. Even the cake-cutting moment was approached with intention… less spectacle, more symbolism. Each layer revealed echoed the palette of the landscape: warm, textured, and softly surprising. This wasn’t just a cake. These were edible artefacts, a fusion of elegance, narrative, and sculptural drama. A quiet testament to the creative tension at the heart of the editorial: where tradition meets reinterpretation, and beauty becomes something you can taste.

[/field]
[field title=”Tips To Pull Off The Look”]

1. Keep it monochrome, but make it rich. Build your look on a base of whites, creams, and soft neutrals. Vary the fabrics (silk, linen, lace, organza) to keep the palette minimal but full of depth and quiet texture. 2. Choose statement pieces, thoughtful.y Select one detail that elevates the entire look. It might be pearl-adorned heels, vintage sunglasses, or sculptural earrings. Let it act as the punctuation mark in an otherwise restrained ensemble. 3. Let the dress speak, silently. Opt for timeless cuts with subtle sensuality like halter necklines, soft draping, or an open back. The most elegant look rarely raises their voice. 4. Hair and makeup: polished but undone. Avoid anything overly set or perfect. Think clean buns, soft waves, and radiant skin that looks lit from within. As if you stepped out of a Fellini frame, not a beauty tutorial. 5. Incorporate texture over print.s Let bold patterns stay with the parasols and table linens. Reflect them instead through lace details, light embroidery, or layered accessories. Suggest, don’t compete. 6. Match the mood, not the til.es Yes, the red-and-white pool is iconic, but resist mirroring it. Contrast it with soft whites or delicate pastels. This creates space around you, not visual noise. 7. Accessories: understated, Italian-tinted A silk scarf, a tortoiseshell frame, a vintage clutch. No logos, just pieces that feel storied. Like they could’ve been inherited, even if they weren’t. 8. Practical meets elegant Outdoors, warmth, natural light… all part of the setting. Choose breathable fabrics, walkable heels, and silhouettes that move. Your look should flow as easily as the atmosphere. 9. Add one playful det. ail Even the most refined outfit benefits from a whisper of whimsy, like a cherry red manicure, a discreet embroidered monogram, a floatie with your initials in tiny font. A wink, not a statement. 10. Comfort is chic when you own it. The final layer is confidence. If you feel at ease, centered, and like yourself, your style will speak with clarity… even if your palette barely does.

A Cultural Fusion Wedding in Prague with Indian Traditions, Czech Customs, and a Vineyard Mandap Ceremony

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]

Terracota, Indochine, tones of pink, terracota blue, touch of yellow, and orange

[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

Fusion of indian and Eastern ceremony and reception. The ceremony was being held at the vineyard with a stunning view of Prague, in a traditional mandap. There are little stones on the ground, which are not comfortable for high heels, so we covered the whole area with green astroturf.

[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]

The groom proposed to the bride on an unseasonably warm and sunny December afternoon in Central Park, a place closely tied to their life together in New York City. Having met in the city and spent countless hours wandering the park over the years, it felt like a natural setting for the moment. He chose a quiet, tucked-away spot by the water, with the skyline in view.

The bride wore a deep wine–colored lehenga with intricate beading that reflected the light throughout the ceremony. The embroidery extended across the lehenga skirt and blouse. She paired the look with a sheer wine-toned veil, which, like the lehenga, included emerald green accents threaded through the palette. The touches of green added dimension and echoed the emerald details on the groom’s traditional Indian sherwani. The lehenga was from Frontier Raas in Delhi, India.

Food was again a fusion of Indian and international food. We hired indian chef coming to the villa and making traditional indian food for cocktails after the ceremony and late snack – samosas, pani puri, lassi, etc. The dinner was served, international, where guests had a choice between meat and vegetarian options.

[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”][/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]

The wedding cake was ordered by the mother of the groom and delivered to the villa with a sweet bar. Groom’s mum also baked traditional Czech wedding sweets that were served in lovely boxes. Guests also received a bottle of traditional Czech Slivovice – plum spirit. The cake was simple white, decorated with fresh flowers.

[field title=”Special Detail #1″]

The bride and groom set out to weave together elements of their Indian and Czech cultures throughout their wedding celebrations. The wedding festivities began with a sangeet held aboard a boat on the Vltava River, where guests danced while taking in views of Prague. The wedding day featured a Czech civil ceremony followed by a Hindu ceremony, overlooking the beautiful and historic city. During the reception, the bride and groom shared a speech in both English and Czech and took part in a Czech tradition in which a plate is broken, and the couple cleans up the pieces together, symbolizing partnership and cooperation. The celebrations concluded the following day with a historic tram ride through Prague.

[field title=”Special Detail #2″]

To keep authenticity, many items were delivered directly from India – from saris for both families, to pashminas for ladies, beautiful earrings and bracelets that ladies took as a gift, in a lovely traditional indian bag. We customized 2 stalls, in on was placed the jewelry, in other served traditional masala chai, decorated by indian spices in packets from India. The couple sits in front of a beautiful wall with original fabric wallpaper, decorated by peacocks, that was also delivered from India. Peacocks were used at all stationery, especially a beautiful order of service, which perfectly explained the ceremony for Western guests.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]

A Hindu priest arrived from Budapest, Hungary, to marry the couple after a traditional Czech ceremony. Mandap was decorated by loverly pieces delivered from India, and all the ceremony props came from India as well.

An East Coast Estate Wedding at Jasna Polana with Soft Autumn Hues and Effortless Elegance

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]

From the Bride: “As a digital producer for PBS’s wildlife series NATURE, I’m surrounded daily by stories that celebrate the beauty and interconnectedness of the natural world, and I wanted to bring that same organic spirit into our wedding design. We chose a palette of soft greens, blushes, and earthy neutrals accented with gold, and filled the space with lush, garden-inspired florals that looked as though they’d been gathered straight from the grounds of Jasna Polana. The result felt elegant yet effortless—refined, but rooted in nature.” Soft peach, muted mauves, and lush greens layered with warm neutrals. The palette felt seasonal yet timeless, reflecting early autumn light and the surrounding gardens.

[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

Refined East Coast estate elegance with a romantic, garden-forward sensibility. The design balanced modern charm with classic luxury, creating an atmosphere that felt graceful, personal, and effortlessly elevated.

The bar became a place not just for cocktails, but for connection.

A Timeless Summer Wedding with a Long Table Reception and Old World Candlelit Elegance

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]Green,white,deep purple.[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

In our design endeavor for the wedding of Dania and Ivan, Adriatic Weddings and Showroom design aimed to infuse a sense of timelessness and warmth into the wedding details, creating a table setting that is memorable yet harmoniously integrated into its surroundings. Soft elements highlight the ease of the evening, fostering a calming atmosphere. The gentle movement of the breeze serves as the final touch of the design, playing with textures to create a magical and vibrant ambiance at the table. To enhance the dining experience, we incorporated silver cutlery that exudes old-world charm, complementing the white linens and the vibrant green and burgundy hues of the grape installations. This choice beautifully connects the venue’s stone facade tones with the table arrangement. The warm flicker of candlelight suspended by vintage, silver-toned candelabras created a gentle glow, fostering an inviting atmosphere. We also utilised natural fabrics for the table setting to achieve a classic and timeless aesthetic. This enduring design encapsulates the spirit of a summer evening, where sophistication and style seamlessly blend, inviting guests to savor a memorable dining experience in a stunning environment. The intimacy of the atmosphere of friends and family was accentuated by all 115 guests dining at one long table.

[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]

Ivan and I have been friends for a very, very long time. He’s always been part of my family because he’s my older brother’s best friend, so I’ve always known him. I think as soon as we realized that we liked each other and that we were going to start dating, which was in 2021, we already knew that it wasn’t going to be just a summer fling. We knew it was going to be more than that and something serious. So the proposal wasn’t very surprising. It was something that, from the very beginning, we kind of expected after about two years of being together. He took me to an industrial warehouse where they do painting classes. The place was booked out just for Ivan and me. There was a painting teacher, a long table, and a canvas and paint on each side of the table. The teacher said that the lesson for the day was to paint what we believed our relationship would look like over the years. I painted a flower that was growing and growing in stages. I don’t even remember what Ivan painted. The whole place was booked for us, there was music, and we weren’t allowed to look at each other’s paintings until we were finished. As soon as we showed our paintings to each other, he got down on one knee and proposed to me. It was the most special moment. It was beautiful, and I’ve never said this out loud.

The kick-off of the festivities was at the welcome cocktails. Guests were served an open bar with two signature cocktails – Pisco Pitch – a tribute to the groom’s football obsession – bright, punchy, and guaranteed to score! Disco Kiss, named after the couple’s first kiss under a disco ball. A buffet of local mezze delicacies was served as well. The guests enjoyed San Canzian’s gastronomical expertise with tuna tartare as the cold appetizer, followed by a traditional local Istrian specialty – Pljukanci pasta with seafood bisque. Each guest had a choice of either beef steak with a side of potato dauphinois or sea bass fillet with sweet potato cream, citrus gel, and crispy fennel as the main course. In a sweet twist of events, the selected dessert at the sit-down dinner was an Espresso Martini cocktail for each guest. This choice of dessert made sure the guests got a shot of energy before proceeding to the dancefloor, where a buffet of sweets awaited, curated by the lovely local KJ Pastry patisserie.

[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

The wedding bouquet was medium-sized, a statement piece that gives the impression of an elegant, light summer composition and frames the overall impression of the wedding. The florals used were local and garden-grown, inspired by Istria. The table decor was achieved through grape, fig, and asmaranthus installations, all accentuated with subdued tones from the candlelight. All the cutlery and candelabras were silver-toned, giving the setup a vintage, old-world feel. At each seat, a craft paper name tag was held securely in position by an artichoke.

The couple opted for a Tiramisu Tower, again curated by KJ Pastry. After a toast, each guest was offered a Tiramisu serving.

[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]

The ceremony opened with the procession of the wedding party. It was officiated by two of the couple’s nearest and dearest friends, and culminated in the couple’s vows to each other, followed by a beautiful and deep reading of an excerpt from ‘On Marriage’, by Kahlil Gibran: Then Almitra spoke again and said, And what of Marriage, master? And he answered, saying: You were born together, and together you shall be forevermore. You shall be together when the white wings of death scatter your days. Ay, you shall be together even in the silent memory of God. But let there be spaces in your togetherness, And let the winds of the heavens dance between you. Love one another, but make not a bond of love: Let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls. Fill each other’s cup, but drink not from one cup. Give one another of your bread,d but eat not from the same loaf. Sing and dance together and be joyous, but let each one of you be alone, even as the strings of the lute are alone though they quiver with the same music. Give your hearts, but not into each other’s keeping. For only the hand of Life can contain your hearts. And stand together yet not too near together: For the pillars of the temple stand apart, And the oak tree and the cypress grow not in each other’s shadow. The couple opted for a well-known local harp player, Doris Karamatić, to be their musical soundtrack to the ceremony. The bride entered to ‘Forever’ by Labrinth, and the couple exited to the song ‘Beyond’ by Leon Bridges.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]

Approach to wedding photography. For Dania and Ivan, photography was envisioned as an unobtrusive, documentary experience, one that would preserve the genuine rhythm of the day and the natural flow of emotions. In close collaboration with the photographer, the couple embraced a relaxed approach focused on capturing spontaneous moments shared with their guests, allowing the story of the celebration to unfold organically. The imagery reflects the warmth and authenticity of the gathering, framed by the timeless beauty of San Canzian’s stone architecture and serene surroundings. Thoughtful attention was also given to the details of the evening table setting, where textures, candlelight, and carefully curated elements were documented in a way that felt effortless and true to the atmosphere. Together, the photographs convey an intimate visual narrative, one that feels natural, emotive, and deeply connected to the setting and the people within it.

A Joyful Pastel Wedding with Colorful, Conversation-Driven Design and a Statement Oval Bar

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]

From the first planning call, Bride Leah gushed about loving pastel colors and wanting to brighten every space for her guests. No colors were off-limits, but the design was rooted in shades of pastel pink with yellows, corals, oranges, and blues.

[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

With a stationary reception, we wanted the guests to utilize the entire venue and have the design be creative, colorful, and encourage conversation. By using the veranda and tasting room as additional dinner locations, we were able to bring in fun design elements to the Granary in addition to the guest dining tables you typically see. We anchored the reception design with a large custom oval bar from Paisley and Jade. We used a warmer color palette for the florals, from peach to butter yellow, and complemented this with a cooler color palette for the linens and furnishings in green, blue, and pink. The design flowed effortlessly throughout the venue with slightly different vibes in each room to ensure guests always felt welcomed, engaged, and included.

[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]

Leah and Blake got engaged on a Sunday evening in Nashville, where they were both pursuing graduate-level studies at Vanderbilt. Their engagement was a private moment as the sun was setting, but absolutely filled with joy. They went on an engagement-moon to Rocky Mountain National Park to celebrate, and shared the news publicly upon their return. It was as sweet as can be.

At the beginning of dress shopping, Leah tried on her grandmother’s wedding dress that both her mom and aunt wore for their own weddings. It was so special, but it wasn’t quite right for Leah’s ceremony, so she wore the dress to her rehearsal dinner downtown, surrounded by family, and it was so sentimental. Leah’s wedding gown choice was no less sentimental – she interned with a non-profit in high school called Cherie Sustainable Bridal, and ended up being able to return to her roots and find her dress at an organization she already cared so much about!

Leah and her maid of honor, Anne, worked together to select the bridesmaids’ dresses, and they landed on Azazie sky blue dresses and gave each attendant the flexibility to select the style that best suited her.

Pippin Hill Farm is known for its bespoke wedding menus, and Leah and Blake’s wedding was no different. Their 215 guests spread throughout the venue and enjoyed stations of southern cuisine, a variety of pastas, and a station of traditional beef tenderloin and cozy side dishes. There was something for everyone! The full bar was complemented with signature cocktails – (His) Maker Happy – Maker’s Mark Bourbon, Red Pump Red Wine, Lemon, Simple Syrup (Hers) Summer Sangria- Rose, Elderflower Liqueur, Seasonal Fruit

[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

Tupelo Floral Co. took the pastel, floral-forward design and brought it to life. At Christ Episcopal Church, we hung wreaths of the wedding colors around the front doors that complemented the bridesmaids’ bouquets. At Pippin Hill, guests were greeted with floral baskets at the entrance to the veranda, along with disc golf disks the groom designed himself, using the wedding crest. The big design moments were in the Granary for the reception. Guests walked through a lush floral arch to be greeted by the expertly designed wedding cake, hanging greenery and florals, and a varied reception with three different table designs. Anchoring the reception design was a 16′ oval bar and a matching stage facade for the band, provided by Paisley & Jade.

[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]

Cakes by Rachel took this pastel, whimsical summer design and brought it to life in the wedding cake. Knowing this masterpiece deserved to shine, we placed it at the entrance to the granary so every guest saw the work of art with sugar flowers that perfectly matched the design of the day.

If you asked Leah and Blake throughout the planning process what they were most excited about, they always answered that they were excited to marry each other and exchange vows while surrounded by loved ones. The design of their day was so incredibly fun, it flowed impeccably, and yet the root of the entire event stayed with Leah and Blake and their marriage.

[field title=”Food & Drink”]Guests were welcomed into cocktail hour with an elevated selection of artfully passed hors d’oeuvres, setting a relaxed yet refined tone for the evening. Highlights included fresh ahi poke served on crisp wonton crackers with avocado and black sesame, jerk chicken skewers glazed with chili pineapple, and prosciutto and fig flatbreads finished with Gruyère and garden herbs. Comfort-driven bites like Italian meatballs with fire-roasted marinara and truffled mac and cheese fritters added a warm, crowd-pleasing touch, creating a thoughtfully balanced mix of flavors and textures.

Dinner unfolded seamlessly as guests mingled and danced, beginning with a plated salad service before transitioning into a beautifully timed seated meal following heartfelt toasts. The overall dining experience felt intentional and celebratory—designed to encourage movement, connection, and lingering at the table while maintaining an effortless flow throughout the evening.[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]The floral design was rooted in sophisticated elegance with a modern, vibrant edge, blending soft, muted tones with intentional pops of color and richly layered textures. A romantic palette of blush, ballet pink, dusty rose, coral, and pale peach was softened with creamy ivory hues and grounded by fresh, natural greens. Subtle golden centers and varied bloom shapes added warmth and movement, creating florals that felt expressive, joyful, and organically elevated—perfectly extending the celebratory garden atmosphere throughout the day.

The bridal bouquet was designed to feel loose and flowing, featuring lush, petaled blooms layered with subtle foliage for texture. Muted tones were complemented by statement floral accents, creating depth and natural movement, while a simple silk ribbon wrap finished the stems with understated elegance.

For the ceremony, floral moments framed the space with purpose and balance. Arrangements anchored the aisle behind the ceremony chairs, welcoming guests and later transitioning seamlessly into the reception. At the altar, a lush, cascading installation featured a series of large arrangements placed on and below pillars, composed at varying heights for an asymmetrically balanced look. Variations in bloom size, color, and texture channeled a sense of naturally wild elegance, grounded by smaller arrangements at the base.

At the reception, guest tables were styled with wildly elegant centerpieces displayed in footed compote vases, blending lush florals with trailing foliage for an organic, romantic tablescape. The head table featured a layered approach, combining petite floral arrangements with delicate bud vases to create an intimate, thoughtfully styled focal point that felt cohesive, inviting, and effortlessly refined.[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]The couple’s cake was a timeless two-tier design that blended classic elegance with thoughtful detail. Featuring multiple flavors, the top tier offered a rich vanilla cake filled with chocolate buttercream, while the bottom tier showcased a spiced carrot cake layered with browned butter cream cheese frosting—both finished in smooth vanilla buttercream. The exterior was adorned with a soft white spiral texture, creating subtle movement and dimension, and finished with fresh floral accents provided by the florist for an organic, garden-inspired finish.[/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”][/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]As a nod to the couple’s venue and shared love of meaningful details, the seating chart invited guests to “Please find your seat at the Colligan Club.” Each table was cleverly named after a golf course hole, playfully tying the design back to Tetherow Resort’s country club setting. The detail added a touch of whimsy and personality, seamlessly blending the venue’s character with the couple’s story and creating a fun, memorable moment for guests as they found their seats.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]Ellie and Will’s wedding weekend was a joyful three-day celebration. They exchanged vows during a private church ceremony on Thursday morning with immediate family, then continued the festivities on Friday with a fun pickleball tournament and a rehearsal and welcome celebration that evening.[/field]

A Baroque-Inspired Wedding of Theatrical Opulence with Burgundy Velvet and Gold Couture Drama

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]

Rosso Borgogna / Burgundy

[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

In a world that often worships minimalism, we chose to resurrect the drama, poetry, and unapologetic opulence of the Baroque—not as a mere aesthetic, but as a manifesto. Our wedding was conceived as a multisensory experience, a perfect collision of art, theater, and high jewelry, designed to immerse guests in a realm beyond time, where every detail shimmered like a fragment of a royal stage. Design The design dared to be extravagant: carmine velvets, liquid gold accents, crystals cut like distilled light, feathers, pearls, and textiles that whispered stories of European palaces. This wasn’t décor; it was a living scenography, engineered to elevate every gesture, every jewel, every couture silhouette. Lighting didn’t simply illuminate—it sculpted. Vibe The vibe fused theatrical maximalism with modern glamour. A world where cabaret met couture, where shimmering performers moved like mythological beings, and where music intertwined with the fire of sapphires and diamonds. It was an atmosphere warm, magnetic, immersive—an unforgettable sensation of being in the right place, at the most enchanted moment, surrounded by over 100 carats of pure legend. Vision: The vision was clear: to create a wedding not meant to be seen, but experienced. A celebration redefining contemporary luxury by merging: uncompromising Baroque maximalism avant-garde, conceptual entertainment a color palette designed to amplify the storytelling power of the jewels a modern love story elevated to a myth a photographic aesthetic worthy of haute couture editorials The goal wasn’t to replicate the Baroque era, but to reinterpret it—transforming it into a new visual language, bold and unforgettable. A declaration that when love meets art, it can shine brighter than any diamond.

[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]It happened during a surprise getaway to the Maldives. As I walked toward the shimmering sea, he suddenly gave me a shove. I was actually furious for a split second, but when I whipped around to confront him, my anger instantly evaporated. He was already down on one knee. He didn’t even ask the question; instead, he simply reached out and slipped the engagement ring onto my finger, sealing our promise right there on the sand.[/field]

Katie’s bridal wardrobe unfolded as a two-day couture odyssey. She opened with a White Privee gown and René Caovilla Cleo sandals, a shimmering prelude to the extravagance ahead. For the ceremony, a romantic Dylan Parienty masterpiece was paired with Stuart Weitzman crystal slingbacks and an extraordinary sapphire-and-diamond suite—highlighted by an 18.57-carat vivid blue sapphire pendant and a 27.20-carat diamond necklace—transforming the look into a living jewel. The evening evolved through the Baroque drama of Zuhair Murad, the sculptural modernity of Muse Marry, and the sleek, editorial finish of Nicole + Felicia, each styled with couture footwear and high jewels.

[/field]
[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]The bridesmaid look was conceived as a refined counterpoint to the bride’s baroque brilliance—elegant, modern, and intentionally understated to let the couture storytelling unfold around her while still holding her own moment of radiance.
Her gown echoed the wedding’s palette with soft, luminous tones and clean lines, offering a contemporary silhouette that balanced the theatricality of the celebration. The look was finished with delicate accessories chosen for their subtle shimmer, allowing her presence to feel cohesive yet distinct within the maximalist world of sapphire fire, diamond constellations, and couture drama.

The culinary experience was designed as an extension of the wedding’s baroque universe—decadent, theatrical, and meticulously curated. Guests were welcomed into a procession of rich, seasonal Italian dishes presented with modern elegance, each plate conceived as a small work of art. Drinks followed the same philosophy: signature cocktails infused with jewel-toned colors, premium champagne poured with cabaret flair, and a wine selection crafted to mirror the celebration’s opulence. It wasn’t simply a menu—it was a sensorial performance, pairing flavor with spectacle and transforming every course into part of the wedding’s couture narrative.

[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]The florals and décor transformed the celebration into a living Baroque tableau—lush, sculptural, and unapologetically grand. Abundant arrangements in deep, jewel-toned blooms spilled over gilded vessels, while layered candlelight wrapped the spaces in a warm, theatrical glow. Every element—textures, colors, and silhouettes—was curated to echo the opulence of sapphires, diamonds, and couture detailing, creating an atmosphere that felt less like wedding décor and more like an immersive art installation.
A world built in petals, gold, and light—the perfect stage for a baroque love story.[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]

The wedding cake took the form of an iconic millefoglie, transformed into a moment of pure baroque theatre. Crafted live by the pastry chef in front of the guests, the dessert rose in delicate, flaky layers filled with Chantilly cream and finished with a flourish of artistry as the couple themselves decorated the final creation. More than a cake, it was a performance of craftsmanship and romance, a cinematic crescendo that perfectly echoed the celebration’s maximalist spirit.

[field title=”Special Detail #1″]The pre-wedding unfolded as a stylish love letter to Italy: a nostalgic trattoria-inspired soirée complete with a bespoke glowing sign—Osteria—welcoming guests into an evening of warmth, flavour, and effortless charm. Rustic wooden tables evoked the spirit of a true Italian pizza party, while an interactive pasta show-cooking transformed the dinner into a lively performance, with the couple themselves joining the chef in crafting fresh pasta for their guests.
The night opened with a cinematic photosession on the Selva tennis court, a playful, modern prelude before transitioning into the relaxed, joy-filled trattoria atmosphere.

Blue Plate was the perfect catering match for Christine & Blake, and they knew to start the wedding celebration off strong during cocktail hour with passed hors d’oeuvres that pleased all palettes, from tacos to chicken skewers to vegetarian maki. The dinner service was a plated three-course meal that started with a mini charcuterie board for each guest, architecturally placed on each plate. Then, before the sweet treats were ready to grab, guests were served their choice of a petite tenderloin with the classic fixings, a lemon and olive oil chicken breast paired with mashed potatoes and broccoli, or a truffle gnocchi topped with a fennel fondue.

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

A gorgeous neutral palette was decided, which celebrated the use of negative space, giving the florals purposeful movement. Textural spider gerbera daisies filled long guest tables – and the ceremony at the base of the Women’s Board Staircas, with all of their loved ones literally surrounding them, was beyond breathtaking. Watching Christine enter through the stairs was incredibly special as her brother officiated their wedding.

A Fashion-Forward Wedding at the California Academy of Sciences with Bold, Artful Style

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]

Knowing that their stylish guest list would arrive in wildly inventive, fashion-forward ensembles, the couple opted for a neutral ceremony palette to allow their loved ones—and the venue—to truly shine. Because the California Academy of Sciences features striking architectural elements of concrete and glass alongside lush, leafy environments, the wedding day palette focused on soft, organic shades of green, cream, white, and blush. However, the couple loves a moment of contrast. For the Welcome Party and the wedding cocktail hour, the vibe shifted dramatically to a bold, vibrant explosion of bright reds, pinks, yellows, blues, and oranges. These saturated hues were designed to complement the art-filled interiors of the Vita Brevis Club and the glowing tanks of the Academy’s aquarium, mirroring the daring fashions that filled the halls.

[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

With Vinney being a true fashion aficionado, the guests knew the sartorial bar would be set incredibly high—with many guests sharing stories of how long it took them to dress for the event! Consequently, the design centered around creating a canvas that would complement the guests’ avant-garde silhouettes. The goal was to weave an aesthetic thread through the venue’s diverse spaces, merging the art-filled, architectural structures with the plant-filled, living environments for an experience that felt immersive and editorial.

[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]

In July 2024, Andy whisked Vinney away on a European summer adventure, visiting Paris, Madeira, and Lisbon. Behind the scenes, there was a bit of drama: the custom-made, east-west set emerald cut engagement ring was almost not finished in time. Andy had nearly resigned himself to proposing with a ring pop, but he managed to secure the ring on the very morning of their departure. While Vinney suspected a Parisian proposal, Andy—never one for clichés—had a different plan. He chose a hike on the island of Madeira, tapping into a cherished hobby the couple shares. The trek was treacherous and breathtaking, winding up narrow trails lined with steel cables and steep drop-offs, but softened by lush wildflowers and buzzing bees. When they reached the summit, sitting high above the clouds, Andy found a secluded spot off the trail for lunch. As they took in the view, he began reflecting on their journey together before pulling out the ring. It was an immediate, tearful, and enthusiastic “yes” on top of the world.

For Vinney, fashion is the ultimate form of self-expression. While he once used clothing to hide his identity, he now uses it to celebrate it, having been featured in Vogue for the statement looks he wears to galas supporting arts organizations that the couple love. It was at one such gala that he and Andy first noticed the work of San Francisco-based designer Jad Racha, whose designs adorned the most elegant attendees. They connected instantly and promised to collaborate one day. When it came time for the wedding, the couple immediately tapped Jad Racha to design bespoke ensembles for the ceremony. Vinney’s vision called for architectural asymmetry, length, and high drama, while Andy opted for clean, classic lines elevated by subtle embellishment. Over months of collaboration, they created two unforgettable, distinct silhouettes that harmonized perfectly. A true creative, Vinney also took to the sewing machine himself, utilizing his own design skills (with help from family and friends) to create his own custom looks for the Welcome Party and the reception.

The couple’s palate leans toward bold, punchy flavors—a departure from the standard “chicken or fish” wedding fare. After finding traditional tastings uninspiring, they discovered Chef Dov at California Rose Catering & Events. Chef Dov embraced their love for spice and texture, dreaming up an eclectic, Asian-fusion family-style feast. The menu was a gastronomic journey featuring duck confit summer rolls, soup dumplings, gochujang tofu lettuce cups, nam prik salmon with spicy fish sauce, and green curry short ribs. The crowd favorite, however, was the delightfully bouncy garlic noodles. The experience ended with an equally inventive dessert buffet of matcha cheesecake, pecan pies, black sesame cookies, and coconut mango tapioca. To ensure the party never stopped, the grooms prioritized efficiency at the bar, hiring experienced staff from Bartenders Unlimited and developing a pre-batched, high-craft cocktail program. In a cheeky nod to Beyoncé’s “Drunk in Love,” the signature drinks included “Andy’s Swervin’ On That Negroni” and “Vinney’s Surfboardt Aperol Spritz,” alongside tributes to their dogs: “Olly’s We Be All Night Espresso Martini” and “Sunny’s I Want You, NA NA (non-alcoholic) Peach Mule.”

[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]For the Welcome Party at the Vita Brevis Club, floral designers Empress Floral Co and Zaddy Blooms played off the venue’s eclectic art collection with bright colors and asymmetrical, sculptural arrangements. For the wedding ceremony, the directive was “otherworldly.” The grooms requested foliage-forward designs that evoked the flora of a distant underwater planet—poetic, wild, and structural. The dinner reception shifted to a minimalist aesthetic inspired by Ikebana traditions. These restrained, elegant arrangements ensured there was ample room on the tables for the generous, family-style platters of food to be shared and enjoyed.[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]

Breaking with tradition, the grooms bypassed a tiered cake in favor of a curated dessert buffet. Guests treated themselves to bite-sized matcha cheesecakes, Asian-inspired cookies, and velvety tapioca puddings topped with fresh tropical fruit.

[/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]Music played a central role in the emotional arc of the day. As avid fans of electronic dance music, the couple chose orchestral reimaginings of their favorite tracks. Andy walked down the aisle to a moving cello, violin, and harp rendition of DJ Sammy’s “Heaven” by the Amethyst Trio, while Vinney entered to a soulful string arrangement of “The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face” by Roberta Flack. The ceremony’s emotional peak came during the vows. Vinney fought back happy tears to sing a portion of “Gratitude” by Above & Beyond. The song holds profound meaning for the pair, as they are not only Andy’s favorite artists, but it was also at an Above & Beyond concert that the couple first said, “I love you.”[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]

The Welcome Party was a full-circle moment, held at the Vita Brevis Club where the couple first met. Andy is an investor in the private art club, and Vinney knew the owner, Matthew Kimball, through the local music scene. Matthew had asked Vinney to sing at one of the club’s early membership drive dinners. Andy and Vinney were seated next to each other that night, and the rest is beautiful history.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]The paper goods were a labor of love, designed and handcrafted by Vinney to reflect the distinct environments of the wedding. The invitation suite drew inspiration from the California Academy of Sciences’ iconic, undulating living roof. For the reception, the laser-cut seating chart mimicked the intricate patterns of lettuce corals found in the aquarium’s reef exhibits. Even the bar menus were immersive, designed to look like the ethereal jellyfish that float through beams of light in the tanks where the cocktail hour was held.[/field]

A Father of the Bride-Inspired Backyard Wedding with Elevated Garden Party Charm

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]Our wedding colors were light blue and green. [/field]

As the bride, my vision for the wedding was Father of the Bride meets elevated garden party. I wanted it to feel timeless, yet comfortable, as the wedding was hosted at Mike’s (the groom’s) parents’ home. It was important to me that it felt like a classic wedding but also more like coming over for a dinner party in the backyard.

Mike and I were long-distance from Minneapolis to Duluth for almost the entirety of our first two years of dating. During that time, we spent a lot of time up north, exploring Duluth and the beautiful sights along Lake Superior. On our final weekend in Duluth together, before moving in together back in Minneapolis, Mike proposed on a hike along the shores of Lake Superior.

I chose a classic Sareh Nouri ball gown, but had them remove the tulle from the skirt and add tulle detailing instead of the original sleeves.

I gave my bridesmaids a color scheme and some inspo, but let them choose their own dresses. I love all the dresses that they each chose, and it was fun to see them all in person on the big day!

We used Chowgirls catering for the food and bar! Having great food that tasted amazing was important to us, given our desire to make people feel like they were being welcomed over for a fantastic dinner party. Plus, we all love to cook! Chowgirls completely delivered. As for the bar, of course,e we had to have our signature cocktails. Mine was a Hugo sprit,z and Mike chose a classic old-fashioned. For an NA option, my brother (who works in the beverage industry) made a giant batch of rhubarb syrup from the rhubarb in his garden. Chowgirls added it to pink lemonade and topped it with a sprig of rosemary for an adorable mocktail.

[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

The florals stood out as one of my favorite parts of the day! Our florist, Amy from MillerHouse Flowers, turned the tables, tent, and bars into floral visions. The residence already had a beautiful backdrop of abundant hydrangea,s so we leaned into those and other seasonal flowers. I’d always loved Lily of the Valley bouquets, but Amy suggested Pieris Japonica as a seasonal alternative, and it turned out beautifully! We said our vows under an arch adorned with locally grown white lisianthus, meant to mimic a lush garden rose climbing over a trellis, and we filled rattan baskets with bunches of beautiful flowers that looked like they had just been plucked from the garden for the aisle. Our seating signs were also arranged into ginger jars from Mike’s mom’s collection, filled with bunches of flowers. Queen Anne’s lace, cosmos, and delphinium danced in the breeze down guest tables, winding between fluted hurricanes that added a special touch to the candlelight.

[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]

As is tradition in my family, we had a Danish wedding cake, called Kransekake, which was lovingly made by my Mom. After dinner, our cinnamon rolls from our favorite bakery, Isles Bun and Coffee, were delivered and served to the guests.

[/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]

For the ceremony, I walked down the aisle to the soundtrack of Pride and Prejudice, one of my favorite movies. We were then married by one of our friends, who was partially responsible for setting us up. Our siblings all chose readings to share during our ceremony. Later that evening, our first dance was to “That’s How Strong My Love Is” by Otis Redding.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]

As a fun DIY activity, Mike and I embroidered our couple’s monogram on every single guest’s napkin! It was way more work than anticipated, but it paid off to see them laid out on the tables on the big day. Now we also have napkins for life! Furthermore, my now mother-in-law was kind enough to sew table runners and pillows to decorate the tables and chairs with. We picked out the fabrics together, and she crafted amazing touches that made the wedding feel so personal to us.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]

I needlepointed “Bride” and “Groom” signs for the back of our chairs. I plan to pull them out and hang them on our dining chairs for each anniversary going forward!

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]

It was truly a team effort from the start, as my sister-in-law, Emily Vieth, who is an artist,t painted a picture of the groom’s childhood home (where the wedding would be hosted) to include on the save the dates. She included the arch where we would eventually be married and the beloved family dog, Lol, lounging in the yard.

An Old Hollywood-Inspired Wedding Weekend at The Beverly Hills Hotel with Fashion-Forward Flair

[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

Bebe and Wei’s iconic Beverly Hills Hotel wedding was black-tie elegance layered with playful touches of pink and red. Their multi-day celebration unfolded as a high-fashion weekend in Beverly Hills, drawing inspiration from Old Hollywood glamour and modern luxury. The festivities began with an elegant luncheon at Dante in The Maybourne, followed by an Old Hollywood–inspired cocktail party. With notable guests from Hollywood and the international design and fashion worlds, every event felt polished, glamorous, and unmistakably chic. The wedding day itself unfolded in true Beverly Hills Hotel fashion, timeless and impossibly stylish. Both Bebe, founder of Cru68 Fitness, and Wei, publisher of The Rake and Revolution Watch, share a deep love of fashion, and their wedding became the ultimate expression of that shared passion.

La Dolce Vita in Pink: An Italian-Inspired Wedding Infused with Personal Heirlooms

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]Pink and Green[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

After spending the summer of 2024 in Italy completing her master’s degree, Sydney returned to the U.S. brimming with European inspiration. Growing up listening to Dean Martin with her father and embracing a newfound desire to live truly “La Dolce Vita,” she envisioned an Italian-inspired wedding, with a signature twist of pink! The color palette was chosen to create a high-energy, joyful atmosphere, focusing on an upbeat, celebratory feel. A special detail woven throughout the flat lays was that nearly all of the items were pieces Sydney had collected during her time in Italy. She included Italian stamps, vintage postcards, and her favorite treasures – two wax seals sourced in Venice from a multigenerational Venetian stationery shop. Each seal was hand-carved from gondola wood: one bearing the symbol of Florence, where Sydney’s apartment was located, and the other featuring an ornate “W,” a beautiful nod to her soon-to-be last name.

[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]

Aubrey had originally planned to propose during a family trip to Jackson Hole, Yellowstone, and the Tetons at Christmas, choosing the scenic Soldier’s Chapel as the perfect backdrop. When the Air Force unexpectedly canceled his promised time off, he knew he needed to act quickly as he would soon be leaving for training in Alabama and might not see Sydney until January. Knowing Sydney dreams of designing hotels and resorts, Aubrey and her father arranged a special stay at a beautiful new hotel in Tennessee, opening under Dolly Parton’s guidance. They secured reservations before the grand opening, giving them the rare opportunity to experience the hotel almost entirely to themselves. Aubrey proposed outside the Heartsong that evening, creating a private and unforgettable moment. The story had a second happy ending: the Air Force later reinstated his Christmas time off, allowing Aubrey to surprise Sydney by returning home on Christmas Eve and joining her family’s trip two days later, where they finally visited the Soldier’s Chapel, the original proposal spot!

When Sydney began planning her wedding, she focused on a few elements that were most important to her, with the dress at the very top of the list. After years of research, she knew Iconic Bride in Dallas carried the designers she loved most, including the Nicole and Felicia style #NF043 that she wanted to try on. She fell in love with the material and waistline but preferred a higher neckline than the scoop design offered. The Iconic team went above and beyond, bringing out toppers and gloves in the most stunning lace to help her achieve the look she envisioned. When she mentioned wanting a different neckline, they immediately suggested a cat-eye style and arranged for Nicole and Felicia to create it. They also customized the topper with the lace she loved and added length to the train exactly to her specifications, showing her what various lengths would look like with a measuring tape. A sparkling veil by Leah da Gloria completed the ensemble, perfectly matched to her extended train. Sydney’s final ceremony look combined three designers: a Nicole and Felicia dress, a Lee Petra Grebenau topper, and a Leah da Gloria veil. She later changed into an off-the-shoulder Maggie Sottero gown to dance the night away with her guests.

The couple chose a “pick your pasta” theme for dinner, offering guests four beautifully prepared options. The menu featured Tagliata di Manzo alla Puttanesca as the steak selection, classic Cacio e Pepe, Rigatoni in a creamy tomato–Parmesan sauce with grilled chicken, and a rich, velvety risotto. Each dish was served alongside fresh salad and warm bread. During cocktail hour, guests were welcomed with an abundant spread of the couple’s favorite small bites—an offering they later admitted they were heartbroken not to enjoy. The display included an array of artisanal breads with olive oil, a selection of cured Italian meats, cascading grapes, and the star of the table: Prosciutto Serrano al Coltello, hand-carved directly from the bone. The accompaniments added both beauty and depth of flavor, with offerings such as fig jam, dried apricots, truffle honey, and a variety of cheeses. The bride was intentional about ensuring the cocktail hour display felt distinctly Italian rather than resembling a traditional charcuterie board. She wanted it to reflect the effortless elegance found in Italy, where artistry is expressed through thoughtful restraint. Instead of filling every inch of the table or stacking elements tightly together, the foods were spaced with care, creating a sense of airiness and allowing guests to graze leisurely. The result was a presentation that guests paused, admired, and savored each option without feeling crowded or overwhelmed.

[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

The floral installations throughout the venue, including the arches and table arrangements, were created by Gabrielle Bush. The bride’s bouquet and the bridesmaids’ flowers were thoughtfully designed by Rosemary Bray and Charlotte Helton. Much of the décor was personally collected by the bride over the course of a year, resulting in many different pieces that all felt personalized to her style. Notable pieces included pewter horse heads that added a striking touch to the grazing table, antique silver trays incorporated throughout the space, and an antique glass coffee carafe set on a silver stand, used to serve the abundant olive oil for dipping bread. The combination of meaningful, bright florals and carefully sourced décor created an atmosphere that felt carefully curated and full of vibrant energy. One of the most charming floral details was the pearl-handled floral clutch. Wanting something more unique and refined than a traditional corsage for the women in her processional, the bride chose these elegant handheld arrangements. The grandmothers and the mother of the groom carried pearl-handled clutches filled with vibrant blooms, creating a delicate and stylish alternative. The mother of the bride carried a petite bouquet crafted from the same flowers featured in the bride’s own arrangement, adding a meaningful touch of cohesion.

[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]

The wedding cake was a gift from a beloved family friend. Five tiers featured four delicious flavors! White almond, strawberry, chocolate, and a standout Butterbeer (both Aubrey and Sydney are true Gryffindoors!) barely leave the couple a chance to sample it themselves.

[/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]

The accordion player set the tone at the guest book, playing classic Dean Martin songs as guests arrived at the venue. For the ceremony, a pianist and violinist performed instrumental versions of beloved Disney songs from original princess movies, including: Part of Your World, A Whole New World, Some Day My Prince Will Come, and A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes. Sydney walked down the aisle to The Goodness of God, and for the recessional, the mood shifted to celebration with “That’s Amore,” accompanied by accordion, piano, and violin. During cocktail hour, the accordion provided a lively Italian soundtrack on the patio, while a DJ filled the indoor space with a similarly warm, festive ambiance. The bride and her father danced to “What a Wonderful World” by Louis Armstrong, another favorite, before suddenly transitioning to a faster pace with “Without Me” by Eminem. They finished with none other than the iconic “Rasputin” dance from Just Dance 2 (2010)

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]A gelato cart was featured during cocktail hour, and it quickly became a guest favorite, with every last scoop enjoyed. Classic chocolate and vanilla were offered, along with stracciatella for a touch of Italian flair. All three flavors were served in custom monogrammed gelato cups, with vanilla also used for affogatos presented in tiny cappuccino-style cups. Guests raved about the delicious flavors and returned for more throughout the evening.
[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]

An olive oil cart, which doubled as a seating chart and favors. The groom handcrafted a wooden cart from scratch after the bride showed him an inspirational photo she loved. Positioned at the entrance beside the guest book, the cart displayed the personalized olive oil favors, each bottle hand-poured and sealed by the bride and her mother, and finished with a tag featuring every guest’s name and table number.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]Around 9:30 p.m., as the dance floor hit its peak, an outdoor pizza oven opened to offer guests a much-needed burst of energy. A variety of toppings were available, and the pizza team even crafted a heart-shaped pizza for Sydney and Aubrey to enjoy in a quick moment between dances. It was a charmingly delicious Italian finale to an already unforgettable night.

A Multi-Day Indian Wedding in California Wine Country with Sunlit Haldi Hues a Candlelit Vineyard Reception

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]

The wedding weekend unfolded through a thoughtfully curated palette that evolved with each celebration. The Haldi and Mehendi embraced marigold yellow as the hero hue, accented by soft pinks, warm oranges, and fresh greens for a look that felt joyful, sunlit, and celebratory. Our ceremony design embraced the natural beauty of the California vineyards. We chose a grounded floral arch, designed to stretch the full width of the aisle, creating a feeling of being surrounded by flowers without overwhelming the space. The aesthetic was refined and minimal, with soft, sun-washed neutrals, peaches, sage greens, and ivory that blended into the landscape rather than competing with it. The entrance of the mandap featured bowls of strung jasmine for guests to tuck into their hair, a gentle gesture of South Indian tradition woven into the moment. The mandap itself was designed to feel intentional and serene, a modern homage to South Indian minimalism.

[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

Haldi & Mehendi – Garden Party Meets Haldi Celebration For the Haldi and Mehendi, the couple envisioned an atmosphere that felt bright, playful, and deeply rooted in togetherness. Designed as a joyful celebration of color, laughter, and family, the space transformed into a sun-soaked garden moment at the Ravenswood Historic Site. Fresh citrus, marigold garlands, trailing vines, and grounded floral arrangements brought warmth and texture to the gazebo, while the vibrant yellow palette layered with touches of pink, orange, and green felt both earthy and elegant. The result was a celebration that honored cultural tradition while embracing a relaxed, vintage California outdoor sensibility. Ceremony – South Indian Vineyard Romance Set against the natural beauty of Wente Vineyards, the ceremony design embraced restraint, intention, and serenity. A grounded floral arch stretched the full width of the aisle, creating the feeling of being surrounded by blooms without overwhelming the space. Soft peaches, sage greens, and sun-washed neutrals blended effortlessly into the vineyard landscape. As a meaningful nod to South Indian tradition, guests were welcomed with bowls of strung jasmine to tuck into their hair. The mandap itself was minimal and refined, a modern homage to South Indian design that allowed the rituals to take center stage. Reception – Starry Night Garden Gathering As the sun set, the vineyard transformed into a glowing evening celebration under the stars. The reception design centered on warmth, texture, and candlelight. Tables were styled with white florals, greenery, soft peach accents, and clusters of green grapes, paired with tall taper candles and glowing votives. Above the dance floor, twinkle lights formed a starry-sky canopy, creating an atmosphere that felt cinematic yet inviting. The overall effect was modern and romantic, refined but deeply welcoming, a garden gathering that felt both elevated and heartfelt.

Ashwin planned what felt like a spontaneous fall weekend getaway, a quiet road trip from Chicago to South Haven, Michigan. Priyanka, who grew up in Michigan, had always said Lake Michigan was her favorite place in the world. They stayed in a cozy Airbnb tucked among trees turning shades of gold and amber, cooked dinner together, and spent the evening wrapped in blankets and movie glow. The next morning, standing along the edge of the lake with the wind soft and the waves steady, Ashwin got down on one knee and proposed. The rest of the weekend unfolded into joyful surprises: a local winery visit, late-night board games, and heartfelt celebrations with friends who traveled from near and far to share the moment.

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]For the ceremony, Priyanka wore a traditional dark red Kanjivaram silk saree with gold zari and mayil (peacock) motifs- an iconic Tamil design that also held deep personal meaning, reflecting her mother’s family business emblem. She selected the saree alongside her mother in Chennai at the Kanakavalli flagship store in Chetpet, a space dedicated to preserving South Indian textile heritage. Inspired by her great-grandmother, Lakshmi Amma, granddaughter of philanthropist Raja Sir Ramaswami Mudaliar, Priyanka paired the saree with a regal high-neck blouse and heirloom temple jewelry. Her hair was styled in a sleek, center-parted bun wrapped in jasmine, completing a timeless South Indian bridal look that felt both powerful and deeply sentimental.

For the Haldi and Mehendi celebrations, the couple wore custom-designed ensembles by Anushree Reddy, chosen for their playful elegance and garden-inspired detailing. The colors and embroidery were selected to complement the bright outdoor setting and celebratory palette.

For the reception, Priyanka changed into a hand-embroidered lehenga by Varun Chakkilam, designed to catch the candlelight and glow under the evening sky. The look felt modern, elegant, and effortlessly romantic as the celebration carried into the night.

Ashwin embraced traditional South Indian attire for the ceremony, wearing a silk ivory kurta paired with a silk panchakacham styled in true Tamil fashion. Finished with a gold zari border, the look complemented Priyanka’s Kanjivaram saree beautifully. The groomsmen wore matching sage green kurtas with dhoti-style pants, a tribute to South Indian heritage that echoed the bridesmaids’ palette and created a cohesive visual balance. Each kurta featured hand-done embroidery custom-designed virtually with Paarsh, a menswear boutique in Kolkata—traditional, personal, and thoughtfully crafted.

For the ceremony, our bridesmaids wore Indian formal attire in a palette of soft, muted greens, inspired by the natural tones of the vineyard. We encouraged everyone to choose the silhouette that felt most true to them, sarees, lehengas, or anarkalis – so their individual style and comfort could shine. Our maids of honor wore warm ivory, creating a soft highlight. The result was cohesive, graceful, and deeply personal. Each woman looked like herself, yet together they formed the dreamiest wash of green textures and movement.

For the Haldi and Mehendi, we had a live brick-oven pizza station from Gigi’s Pizza, baking pies on demand with a mix of Italian classics and Indian-inspired flavors. To keep things refreshing in the California sun, we offered seasonal mocktails like Berry in Bloom and Mint to Be, which tied perfectly into the garden party vibe. The food and drinks felt fun, relaxed, and joyfully summed up exactly the energy we wanted for the afternoon. The wedding day began with a warm, comforting breakfast reminiscent of mornings in Chennai, such as soft idlis, crisp vadas, and steaming filter coffee. Lunch was filled with home-cooked flavors that invited everyone to slow down and savor. By evening, the reception shifted into a California meets India menu, with vibrant small plates like peri peri paneer tikka and lotus root chaat passed during cocktail hour. Dinner featured familiar favorites elevated with a fresh, West Coast sensibility – pesto naan alongside creamy curries and slow-simmered dals layered with herbs and warmth. To close, guests enjoyed a trio of playful, modern desserts, a sweet finish to a day that moved from nostalgic comfort to contemporary celebration. Our signature cocktail menu was designed to reflect our story and the places that shaped us. The Mumbai Margarita honored Ashwin’s hometown with a bright mango twist and a masala salt rim, while the Madras Kappi Martini, our South Indian take on the espresso martini, celebrated Priyanka’s birthplace and her love of strong, filter-style coffee. The Chi-Tini, with lychee and lime, was a playful nod to where we’ve built our life together in Chicago. For guests looking for something non-alcoholic, the Cranberry Fizz and Pakka Local Punch brought the same warmth and color, ensuring everyone had something festive in hand. It felt like the perfect blend of Mumbai, Madras, and Chicago gathered into one joyful toast.

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]We wanted our florals to feel lush, natural, and in harmony with the landscape rather than overwhelming it. Working with Fluid Blooms, we focused on grounded arrangements, airy movement, and a palette of soft greens, peaches, blush, and ivory that echoed the vineyard around us. Just as important as the aesthetic was the intention behind it, we were committed to minimizing waste and ensuring that each arrangement had a second life throughout the day. Fluid Blooms thoughtfully designed every piece to be repurposed wherever it made sense, transitioning florals from the Mehendi to the Haldi, from the mandap to the welcome table, and finally into our reception tablescape, allowing the flowers to tell one continuous story from morning through night. It was a reminder of the importance of choosing vendors who share your values. The wedding aperitif transforms into a true spectacle of taste and style, the Spritz Bar cart delights guests with fresh and lively cocktails prepared on the spot, while the champagne tower sparkles like a jewel, adding a touch of elegance and magic to every toast The reception takes shape step by step, guided by a solid and discreet professionalism, all entirely crafted by Calamai. It all begins with the choice of ingredients, artisanal, carefully selected, transforming into dishes that tell a story of quality and authenticity. But the food is only part of the story. Around it, the atmosphere is created with the same attention: timing, details, and the harmony of the space. Every element contributes to a seamless and elegant experience, where nothing is left to chance. This is how the reception becomes a moment to be truly lived, not just savored.

In the garden of Villa Corsini A Mezzomonte, the floral arrangement of the ceremony is designed in a natural and elegant style, inspired by the Tuscan landscape and the timeless beauty of the villa. The color palette plays with deep, dusty greens, complemented by shades of blush, ivory, and pure white. Hydrangeas, the absolute protagonists, provide volume and softness, while white orchids add a refined and luminous touch. Cascading elements and delicate branches make the composition fluid and organic, never rigid. The mood is romantic, natural, and contemporary, striking a balance between floral abundance and spontaneity. The overall effect is fresh, harmonious, and sophisticated, perfect for an outdoor ceremony that aims to be elegant yet authentic, in full dialogue with the historic garden and the surrounding panorama. The table setting conveys a sense of understated luxury, welcoming and never excessive, where every detail engages in a dialogue with the monumental architecture of the hall. The style draws inspiration from a classic contemporary aesthetic; traditional elements such as silver candelabras, cut-crystal glassware, and an impeccable mise en place are reinterpreted in a modern way through deconstructed floral arrangements, dark glass vases, and natural details like fresh fruit. The result is a cultured, refined table that feels alive and spontaneous, perfectly in harmony with the prestige of Villa Corsini. Fleurs Cortona’s inspiration comes from Tuscan Renaissance gardens and Flemish still lifes, where flowers, fruit, and precious materials coexist in compositions rich in depth and meaning. The presence of grapes, pears, and figs evokes abundance, seasonality, and conviviality, while statement flowers such as anthuriums, dahlias, and roses convey elegance and theatricality, ideal for an exclusive event in one of Tuscany’s most captivating historic residences

[field title=”Wedding Cake”]

The cake-cutting moment in the gardens of Villa Corsini is intimate. The cake, a millefeuille with an essential and refined decoration, blends with natural elegance into the nighttime atmosphere of the historic garden. Cold sparkler fountains create a striking, luminous frame, theatrical yet always restrained, enhancing the couple without ever overpowering them.

Bound in Bloom: A Study in Sculptural Florals, Soft Hues, and Modern Romance

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”The Inspiration”]

Bound in Bloom captures the quiet elegance of a bride and groom suspended between past and present. Her corsage becomes a modern echo of a bygone gesture — intimate, deliberate, and symbolic of grace reclaimed. The flowers, sculpted on fine wires like a jeweler’s work, blur the line between nature and craft. Each stem bends with intention, tracing the rhythm of their movement through light and marble — a study in refinement, restraint, and quiet power.

[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]

The wedding colors are ivory, pale lemon, soft sage, celadon green, warm gold, and porcelain — woven together to create a palette that feels both crisp and romantic.

[field title=”The Venue”]

Belvedere Palace, Vienna — one of Austria’s most iconic baroque landmarks, rich with mirrored halls, golden ornamentation, sculptural frescoes, and stately gardens. Its artistic and architectural heritage shaped every detail of the design and narrative. The interplay between imperial elegance and modern restraint brought the visual story to life.

The floral appliqués are mounted on fine wires, giving them a light, sculptural quality. The corsage becomes more than an accessory — it’s part of the gown’s structure, a quiet gesture of grace reclaimed.

With its layered skirt, sheer sleeves, and refined embroidery, the gown moves gently with the bride, blurring the line between nature and design. It’s a piece that feels both timeless and unexpected — artistic without being ornate.[/field]

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

The floral design was built around the theme of “bound in bloom” — with delicate stems supported by fine wirework, shaped intentionally to explore the tension between structure and softness. Blooms were arranged like living corsages: sculptural, contained, yet full of energy. The compositions referenced the couple’s connection, the architectural rhythm of the Belvedere, and the carefully controlled wildness of the baroque gardens beyond. Golden and ivory roses, oncidium orchids, lisianthus, and lilies formed the heart of the palette — soft, sunlit, and quietly opulent. Between them, small sculptural mushrooms were nestled into the tablescape — an unexpected, organic element that added texture and grounded the design in nature. They hinted at something older, slower, and more mysterious — a contrast to the perfection of the palace, yet entirely at home within it. The result was a balance of opposites: freedom within tightness, and tightness within freedom. A visual study of restraint and release, nature and craft, light and shadow — all composed with the intention of drawing the eye and softening the space.

[/field]
[field title=”Favorite Design Element”]

The Cake: The towering six-tier cake stood as an extension of the Belvedere’s baroque architecture — ornate, structured, and poetic. Its piped garlands mirrored the stucco reliefs and marble ornamentation of the space, weaving visual continuity between setting and centerpiece. Fresh ivory lilies and soft yellow carnations cascaded down the tiers, wired into place with golden threads — a subtle nod to the editorial’s floral language. The arrangement felt both composed and organic, echoing the balance between restraint and wildness, form and bloom. Rather than a mere confection, the cake became a sculptural embodiment of the story: bound in bloom and rooted in the grandeur of place.

[/field]
[field title=”Tips To Pull Off The Look”]

1. Choose a historical venue with history. Select a setting with strong architectural identity — like a baroque palace or a classical estate. Look for layered textures, sculptural reliefs, and an interplay of light and shadow. Let the venue speak, not just serve as a backdrop. 2. Build a palette that integrates nature and structure. Rather than opting for a traditionally “quiet” palette, choose colors that feel organically tied to the setting. Soft yellows and natural greens echo garden landscapes and architectural earth tones — creating a bridge between indoors and outdoors, nature and manmade elegance. 3. Design florals with sculptural finesse. Use floral compositions as an architectural language: wired flowers that mimic movement, cascading lines, and tension. Let them interact with the space like ornamental carvings — alive, refined, and structured. 4. Anchor your story in intentional movement. Whether a choreographed first dance, a private vow exchange, or a slow walk through a hallway — design moments that feel lived-in and cinematic. They give the visual narrative emotional weight and help merge elegance with intimacy between the bride and groom. 5. Balance historic and contemporary design elements. Pair heritage surroundings with subtle modern touches — glass and clean-lined tableware. This contrast highlights both worlds: the permanence of history and the clarity of modern aesthetics.

A Vibrant Islamorada Wedding with Tropical Florals, Coastal Textures, and a Moonlit Clear Tent Reception

Coral, bright pink, blush, peach, soft apricot, tropical green, palm green, ivory, sand, natural rattan tones, and touches of sunny yellow.

[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

The couple envisioned an elegant yet playful coastal celebration that felt warm, welcoming, and effortlessly inviting—more like an elevated island gathering than a formal event. With Islamorada’s stunning aquamarine water as the natural focal point, every design element was thoughtfully chosen to enhance the surrounding beauty rather than compete with it, blending vibrant tropical color with layered textures, cozy lounge-inspired seating, and meaningful personal touches. As evening fell, a glowing, clear tent shimmered beneath the moonlight and the reflection of the waves, creating a romantic, dreamy atmosphere where guests danced beneath the stars and celebrated a night centered around love, family, and togetherness.

[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]

Like many modern love stories, theirs began online, quickly revealing an unexpected and meaningful connection rooted in family, shared interests, and a love for being on the water. As their lives blended—filled with boat days, travel, time with their children, and everyday moments that felt anything but ordinary—their love continued to deepen most naturally and steadily. On New Year’s Eve during golden hour, Jay proposed on a balcony overlooking the water, a moment filled with warmth, joy, and complete certainty. It was the perfect beginning to the next chapter of their beautifully blended life together, a love story grounded in partnership, gratitude, and choosing each other every single day.

After dinner, she changed into a chic silk reception dress, custom-made by a talented Etsy designer, allowing her to move freely and fully enjoy the evening. Lush arrangements of coral peonies, garden roses, ranunculus, orchids, ginger, hydrangea, and anthuriums were paired with monstera leaves and cascading palms, bringing movement, texture, and bold color throughout the space. Tables were styled with patterned palm linens, rattan details, bamboo flatware, layered chargers, coral napkins, and fluted glass candlelight, striking the perfect balance between playful and polished. [field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]

The ceremony was deeply personal and heartfelt, anchored by vows the couple lovingly wrote themselves. Instead of traditional readings, their words to one another told the story of their journey—Lindsay sharing how Jay became the safest place she’s ever known, and Jay honoring her gift for finding joy and magic even in life’s hardest seasons. “Tuesdays” by Jake Scott became their meaningful song, reflecting their belief that love is built in the everyday moments between the highs and lows. Family remained at the heart of the experience, with all of their children woven into the ceremony to symbolize the beautiful blending of their lives. Before the ceremony, Lindsay and Jay shared a quiet “first touch,” standing back-to-back to read private vows they chose to keep just for each other. These intentional, intimate details grounded the day in love, presence, and connection before the celebration began.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]Detail #1 – Music as a Family Thread:
Music was a meaningful thread woven throughout the entire wedding weekend, turning every moment into something deeply personal and connected. The bride’s father, a professional musician, took the stage during the reception to perform songs he had lovingly prepared, and throughout the night, family and friends joined in, transforming the music from entertainment into a shared family experience. From live guitar and violin at the ceremony, to electric violinists at the welcome party, to a full 12-piece band at the reception, music brought generations together and filled the celebration with warmth, joy, and unforgettable emotion.

[field title=”Special Detail #2″]

Detail #2 – Meaningful Bridal Party Gifts: For their bridal party gifts, the couple chose pieces that felt deeply personal and lasting. Each bridesmaid received freshwater pearls sourced from Lake Michigan as a sentimental nod to the bride’s hometown, while the groomsmen were gifted engraved Fossil watches as a timeless keepsake of the day. Both gifts were chosen with intention, meant to be cherished and worn long after the celebration as a reminder of the love and memories they shared.

A Vibrant Rooftop Wedding in Rosemary Beach with Gulf Views and a Relaxed, Elevated Design

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]Blue, green, pink, purple, yellow[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

We wanted our guests to feel like they were on a vacation and just also happened to be at a wedding. I think the exact words I used with my planner were “relaxed and fun, but elevated and well-designed.” Vibrant color and unique design were our top priorities, but we didn’t want to distract from the main point of the day, which was celebrating our love with our closest friends and family. The venue itself is such an iconic Rosemary staple, and with the rooftop’s beautiful view of the gulf, it didn’t take much to make it a magical place to get married.

[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]

The best part of our engagement is that it was truly a surprise. Rob and I have always gone to pick out a Christmas tree together, so that didn’t seem out of the norm. But in 2024, we went to a different spot – this cute farm outside of Memphis. Rob had created this whole backstory of doing work for the owner, so I wasn’t suspicious. When we got there and started looking through all the trees, we ended up next to one with a neon sign that said: “Will you marry me?” Then I looked back at Rob, and he was down on one knee. I was speechless,s but I must have managed to say yes… Now we’ve made it a tradition to go back to the same place every year to get our tree!

The team at Maggie Louise went above and beyond to help me achieve my dream look. We started with a strapless Anne Barge design and added a satin sash overlay for the ceremony. I loved it, but after my first appointment, I continued to feel drawn to the idea of sleeves. I went back for a second appointment,t where we decided the best option was to have glove sleeves made from the same fabric as the dress. I wore the sleeves with the sash overlay for the ceremony, then removed both for the reception. I truly loved both looks!

[/field]
[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]

I wanted my bridesmaids to be able to choose their own dresses – something they felt comfortable in and would actually wear again. My only requirements were colors – I asked them to stick with shades of blue, green, or pink, to match the color scheme of the wedding. I envisioned some girls in patterns and some in solids. They all understood the assignment, and it ended up coming together perfectly!

The Pearl takes care of all the catering and the bar, which made the whole process very streamlined. At our tasting, it was hard to choose our favorites because all the food was truly incredible. We ended up selecting short rib and shrimp and grits as our main courses, with several passed appetizers like crab cakes and mini chicken and waffles. The stars of the show,w however, were the two chefs walking around live shucking oysters for our guests during cocktail hour. People are still talking about it! Our cocktails paid homage to our dogs, Georgia and Goose. The “Georgia” was a spicy margarita, while there were two options for the “Goose” – either plain Topo Chico (Rob’s drink of choice), or the “Silly Goose” – a Topo Chico-based mixed drink with pomegranate liqueur.

[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

A variety of colors and textures were used throughout the entire design. Shades of pink, green, and blue were used to create a vibrant palette that was carried throughout all elements, from the flowers and linens to the custom DJ booth wrap. A mix of both large and small floral arrangements adorned the reception tables, creating dimension, while white linen draping helped create a blank canvas so the flowers could really take center stage. Rattan light fixtures complemented the tropical palette, and votives created a romantic glow once the sun went down. Colorful pedestals with large arrangements framed the ceremony space, which was tucked away from the rest of the rooftop. This space was then converted to hold the cakes, so the stunning design could be enjoyed the whole evening.

[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]

The wedding cake was made of 3 tiers, each a different flavor – strawberry, white chocolate raspberry, and almond. The design was simple but elegant, with smooth white frosting and a cascade of 3D fondant flowers. Rob’s groom cake, in the shape of a redfish as a nod to his favorite hobby and being at the beach, was lemon with a raspberry filling.

[/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]

The most special part of our ceremony was Rob’s uncle being our officiant. He got ordained just to officiate for us, and he did a wonderful job. He was able to make it so personal, and it is something we will never forget! Music was one of our main priorities – we had always envisioned having a band, but with limited space, we had to go with a DJ. Lucky for us, we got the best DJ in 30A. He knew exactly the right music to play from cocktail hour through the end of the night, and kept everyone dancing the whole time. During cocktail hour, there was also a live saxophonist, which was a fun touch and really set the vibe while guests were mingling and sipping cocktails. Our first dance song was Dancin’ in the Moonlight. It’s such a fun song, especially at the beach, and we both felt like it was easy to dance to without feeling rehearsed.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]On the day of the wedding, Rob’s mom gifted me a handkerchief embroidered in blue with my mom’s handwriting. Rob carried it in his suit pocket during the ceremony. My mom died when I was 11, so that little touch was so thoughtful and made me feel like she was included in our wedding day. I had also been gifted a ribbon from my mom’s wedding dress, embroidered with my parents’ and my initials. This was used to wrap my bouquet. [/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]

I went to Alabama, and Rob went to Ole Miss. So naturally, college football is a large part of our lives! I had gameday stickers made in two different designs – one for Alabama and one for Ole Miss. We handed these out at the reception towards the end of the night, and they were a hit. I had not planned on making custom hats, but about one month before the wedding, Rob said he thought it’d be really cool to have them. I told him it just wasn’t possible at such short notice, but unbeknownst to him, I was frantically reaching out to custom hat companies! I managed to design and order them just in the nick of time. When our planner brought them out to the dancefloor, Rob was very happily surprised. All our guests love them too, and a lot of our friends are still rocking our Hyde and Co. hats!

A Moody Enchanted Forest Wedding in Aspen with Evergreen Draping and Woodland-Inspired Details

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]

Explicitly mentioned colors: Evergreen / deep green (greenery, deep green draping, forest theme), Deep, dark tones (overall palette direction), Chocolate brown (bridesmaids), Black (groomsmen), Orange and yellow (Aspen trees providing contrast). Implied/tonal cues, Moody, enchanted forest palette, and natural, earth-driven colors rather than pastels or brights

[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

The vision was a modern take on an enchanted forest—timeless, immersive, and deeply rooted in Aspen’s natural beauty. Rather than introducing an overly styled aesthetic, the design amplified what was already there: towering evergreens, glowing starlight, and the warmth of an intimate mountain setting. Deep forest greens, rich chocolate tones, and layered greenery created a moody, elevated palette, while suspended florals, tree-like bar installations, and dramatic green draping transformed the space into a refined woodland experience. The overall atmosphere felt romantic yet intentional—luxurious without excess—allowing the natural landscape, thoughtful details, and guest experience to take center stage.

[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]

The proposal was thoughtful, intimate, and entirely true to who they are as a couple. Elijah planned a moment that felt personal rather than performative—focused on connection, intention, and the life they were building together. There was no rush, no grand spectacle—just a meaningful pause that reflected the depth of their relationship and the ease they share. When he asked, it felt natural and grounding, like the next chapter unfolding exactly as it was meant to. The moment was emotional, joyful, and deeply affirming—one that set the tone for the celebration to come and the partnership they continue to choose every day.

Fashion played a central role in the wedding weekend, beginning with a statement-making ceremony gown by Leah Da Gloria. The dress balanced structure and softness, featuring intricate detailing that felt both modern and romantic—perfectly aligned with the refined, moody forest setting. The silhouette felt elevated yet effortless, allowing the bride to move comfortably throughout the evening while still making a dramatic impression. For the second look, a Galia Lahav gown brought a more fashion-forward edge, offering contrast while maintaining the same sense of timeless elegance. Together, both looks reflected a bride who values craftsmanship, confidence, and a thoughtful approach to personal style.

[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]The bridal party fashion was intentionally understated yet impactful. Bridesmaids wore deep chocolate-toned dresses that complemented the surrounding evergreens and reinforced the wedding’s moody, forest-inspired palette. The rich, earthy hue added depth without overpowering the setting, creating a cohesive look that felt elevated, timeless, and photographically striking. Against Aspen’s natural landscape, the dresses offered a warm contrast that allowed the bridal fashion and floral design to shine while still feeling thoughtfully styled.[/field]
[field title=”Groomsman Attire”]

The groom wore a custom deep evergreen suit by Bespoke Edge, a thoughtful nod to the surrounding Aspen landscape and the wedding’s forest-inspired palette. The rich tone felt elevated and distinctive while remaining timeless. The groomsmen were dressed in classic black suits, creating a clean, cohesive contrast that allowed the groom’s look to stand out. Together, the menswear felt polished, intentional, and perfectly aligned with the moody, refined mountain setting.
