A Rustic yet Refined Enchanted-Forest-Inspired Celebration

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]Ivory and whites for a clean base to allow the pink and red hues in the floral arrangements to pop. Also, green from the lush greenery and foliage to the curtains and bar design and even the invitation suite. [/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

The overall vision was an enchanted forest – something that was both rustic while still elegant, simple and perhaps slightly mysterious. The basis of the design was clean and elegant: white, heavy, textured linens with classic hemstitch napkins, simple furniture in all the earth tones with touches of gold, chunky, crystal goblets. A great basis to let the florals and details truly shine.

[field title=”Proposal Story”]

During the “lock down summer” of 2020, I came down to Florida to spend some time with my brother and work at New Dimensions while I was off from school. Every single morning, I worked out with two of the New Dimension’s celebrities, Kim & Scott Richbourg. I instantly loved talking to them, hearing about their family and laughing together as Kim ran laps around us all. Little did I know, I would soon become a member of that amazing family. Fast forward to the summer of 2021. I just finished graduate school and decided to come back down to Florida for the weekend to spend some time with Brantley and Hannah. New Dimension’s threw a party that night for all of their members at the facility and we were all geared up for a fun night. I was sitting at one of the tables in the back, talking to several members, when the most gorgeous girl I had ever seen caught my eye as she stepped into the facility. At that moment I felt like time just stopped. She slowly moved through the room, greeting people as she went, and I quickly realized that this was Carley Richbourg. Kim & Scott’s oldest daughter that I had only heard about over our morning workouts together. Carley sat down at the table right next to me. We immediately struck up conversation and forgot anyone else was in the room, it immediately became just the two of us. The conversation was so easy, so natural and we were hooked. We even made travel plans together that night for “Brannah’s” wedding. We had several events that weekend where we were able to be together and that’s all it took for us to fall in love. Within 72 hours, we knew we wanted to be together. We had found our person. That quick weekend trip suddenly turned into a week, then two, then time slowly faded away and we never left each other’s side. Our only attempt at being away from each other ended in Carley jumping on a plane and beating me up to Georgia as I drove. That was it for us, we knew we had to be together. It was never a question of if, just a question of when. On April 2nd, I asked the love of my life to be with me forever.

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

We knew we wanted flowers and greenery everywhere (and who better to provide those than Velvet & Twine?!), but we wanted the florals to feel comfortable and beautiful without being overwhelming so they could truly be appreciated. Mixing in earthy materials like wood and leather brought out the natural, rustic elements that really created the depth we were looking for. We built on the basics with lots of fun, custom details: from the pre-ceremony cocktail hour to the ceremony to the cocktail hour to reception and after party – there were custom details everywhere! Kim, Carley and I all love the details and we tried to be really pointed in where we added the customization. We felt like this really elevated the event.

[field title=”Special Detail #1″]

The Whiskey Lounge was a gift Kim wanted to give to Travis, since he’s a big whiskey drinker and she wanted something special just for him. Kim had the initial vision, but collaborating with Tommy from Swag who came on board with the spandex chandelier covers really brought it to the next level. Sexy, leather seating, moody lighting and a whiskey dispenser elevated that space even more. I cannot believe the total transformation.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]The Seating Chart was unbelievable and also an amazing collaboration. Kim, Andi and I sat down one day and just hammered out what we were looking for and the seating chart was born. The way it all came together with those custom, chunky, wooden name tags and elegant vases with jaw-dropping florals was certainly one for the books.[/field]

Awe-Inspiring Floral Design And Fashion In Sunny Florida

What happens when some of the world’s best florists and designers, under the tutelage of Sarah Cambell of Intrigue Design & Events, come together for a two-day workshop in sunny Florida? A feast for your flower-loving senses, of course! Bright pops of color are the focal part of the day expertly planned by Heather Benge. Every incredibly eye-catching moment was exquisitely captured in the imagery by Taylor Jordan Photography, see it all in the full gallery.

From Taylor Jordan PhotographyThese epic florals were a part of a two-day workshop in Orlando, Florida. Taylor Jordan Photography had the pleasure of capturing the colorful, bold masterpieces.

The floral designs were created by a dozen florists and designers learning from Sarah Cambell of Intrigue Design & Events. Sarah became known for her eye for color on Netflix’s The Big Flower Fight and brought that love of color to these fabulous designs. She had the students begin with pops of color, designed on mono-floral groupings, and layered a series of custom-painted greens between each cluster of blooms.

The use of painted materials is becoming more and more in demand as the trend for color continues to grow in popularity. The options for brides are now endless!

Stylish + Chic, This Green + Gold Wedding Inspo Brings Out The Irish In Us All

Think there is absolutely no way to add a little St. Patty’s Day flair to your fete without looking hokey and completely un-chic? You think wrong. This emerald gold wedding inspiration before us is elegant, modern and incredibly stylish… and is totally the type of green-hued glam we love this time of year. The Ganeys captured all the details of the day, putting us in a fashionably fun mood for the weekend ahead. See it all in our gallery right this way!

From The Ganeys… The Cypress Grove Estate House was the backdrop for this wedding inspiration. Our inspiration for this session actually came from the green shutters and clean white facade. We wanted to create an elegant wedding filled with classy and modern details.

I’m a paper goods kind of girl. I love the textures. I love the stamps. And I love anything and everything that Andi Meija creates. Her signature is wrapping all of her items in a thin gold thread – which was the perfect accent for this emerald and gold invitation suite. She used watercolor as the backdrop of the invitation and a modern font to invite guests to the event was perfect to set the stage for this shoot.

Our bride, Brinley, was such a natural beauty. Her hair was pulled back into loose curls, pinned in place with floral clips. Tiffany from Michele Renee Studio did an amazing job taking this bride’s look to the next level of gorgeous!

Brinley wore a Ines Di Santo gown from The Bridal Finery. This gown was made for this wedding inspiration. The lace, the illusion back with the buttons, and that phenomenal cut was the perfect combination of elegant and modern.

The reception space was set and styled by Plan It Events. The pieces from RW Events elevated the event with the white and gold chairs, for the guest’s table and the emerald tufted ones for the sweetheart table. Every place was set with gold rimmed plates, gold flatware, a menu and the most exquisite emerald napkins. Flower by Lesley created the centerpieces – overflowing with roses and greenery.

The lounge area was set by the water at Cypress Grove Estate. On the emerald rug sat a velvet couch and two vintage upholstered chairs. Atop the marble table sat another incredible centerpiece.

The evening concluded as it always should – with cake! Sugar Sugar created a two tiered beauty – complete with a sugar flower and gold accents. It sat atop an emerald table, and behind it hung a scroll of vows from the couple.

This team of vendors was such a treat to work with! Everyone went above and beyond to ensure the day ran smoothly! It was a dream to photograph – Caitlin and the Plan It Events team made it so easy!

The Ultimate Wow Factor? A Floral Filled Staircase of Course

Alison and Josh’s wedding had me at the staircase ceremony, but then totally blew me away once I learned that this was in fact a luxurious elopement with only their nearest and dearest on hand. With just 4 guests in attendance, their Big Day dreamed up by Blush By Brandee Gaar doubled as an intimate getaway that we’d vie for an invitation to. Captured by Kayla Barker Fine Art Photography we’ve got it all in The Vault!

From Blush By Brandee GaarAlison and Josh’s wedding was truly a luxury destination event! They treated their guests to a long weekend in Orlando beginning with a trip to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party on the night of their arrival. On Friday, all of the guests were treated to spa treatments and a fabulous private dinner at Ravello. The big day, which fell on Halloween and was also the anniversary of the couple’s first date, was an absolute dream! With only 4 guests, we had a lot more flexibility within the resort and we chose to make use of the magical grand staircase which is the centerpiece of the resort! The dinner took place in one of the lakeside villas perfect for a small gathering of friends and family for dinner and fireworks! It was truly a magical evening at the Four Seasons Resort!

Romantic Coffee Shop Inspired Engagement Session

I’m someone who needs a few cups of coffee to get going in the AM, but today that’s all changing thanks to Jenn and Ryan’s cafe e-session. It’s just the jolt I need on this Saturday morning complete with latte art, sweeter than sweet kisses, and one seriously chic looking cafe. I mean, talk about major e-sesh goals, right!?! Best Photography captured it all to share in The Vault!

From Best Photographyy… There’s just something about delicious coffee and a couple in love that makes for a perfect match! Jenn and Ryan are foodie and coffee fanatics, so needless to say photographing their engagement session at Propagation Coffee was entirely fitting. It’s one of their favorite coffee shops around, and hey we LOVE coffee too, so we had a wonderful time. These two are some of the sweetest people you will ever meet. Uplifting, positive, energetic, and happy are just a few words to describe Jenn and Ryan. Having the opportunity to photograph such amazing people in an awesome location picked specifically for their love and passion, made for breathtaking images. The evening concluded with a few romantic shots in the beautiful Baldwin Park… We are so excited for their wedding next year, and we hope these photos bring inspiration to all of those in love, and to all who love coffee. Enjoy this romantic engagement session captured on film!

Intimate Foraged Garden Wedding Inspiration

Inspired by the idea of a bride foraging for her flowers the early morning of her wedding day, Cody Hunter captured a scene straight out of a storybook. From the Alexandra Grecco gown (care of Everthine Bridal Boutique) to tables decked out in La Tavola linens and Elleson Event’s romantic design, it’s what comes to mind when you drift off to wedding wonderland. Travel there via our Vault right this way!

From Cody Hunter Photography… Together with designer Hollie from Elleson Events, our bride tells the story of her forage inspired garden wedding. The beautiful English Cottage home and gardens (the historical Peach Tree House) was the inspiration for everything. Using elements from her own backyard garden, the bride spends her morning foraging the elements of her big day. Building her bouquet from backyard greenery like variegated tree ivy, garden roses, ranunculus, blushing bride protea, and white peonies, she sets the tone for her intimate affair. Relying on the natural beauty of her surroundings and the organic and muted color scheme of the garden, the aesthetic focuses on various greenery, white, creams and soft dove grey. For the bride’s gown, she chose Alexandra Grecco with small floral details on the sheer bodice, for a soft and ethereal secret garden feel.

Fall Harvest Sangria Wedding Inspiration

Settle in sweethearts, because you’re about to experience layers upon layers of handcrafted perfection. Straight from the artistic lens of Ais Portraits, this inspo is the type of beauty that is sure to delight (and I’m not just talking about that ah-mazing sangria recipe)! It’s the type of perfection that demands a dedication to detail, and we’ve got them all waiting for you in THE VAULT!

From Ais PortraitsCypress Grove Estate House is pure Southern perfection wrapped up in a venue and made the perfect place to host a Fall Harvest inspired shoot. We chose a deep wine and berry color palette to remind us of all the beauty Fall has to offer: the change of colors, the harvest, and the hint of chill in the air.

Our bride wore an intricate and unique gown created by Eve of Milady with lace underlay and tulle panels. Her fine headpiece by Fabiola Capo Bridal Millinery adorned her hair with luxurious Swarovski crystals and vintage Venetian glass beads, finished with silk tassels. We chose a romantic and dreamy look for our bride’s hair and makeup to accentuate the softness of the color palette.

The stationary by Tassel and Trim Shop was done in gold script on black invitations, menus, and place cards for guests. Fleur Lumiere made a magical bouquet and table arrangements with a sea of anemone, David Austin garden roses, Jasmine, and more. The farm table provided and styled by RW Events was a focal point for inspiration for the shoot. It’s easy to get swept away by the beauty of the purples and wine colors of the tablescapes. The marble fireplace mantle held a garland filled with garden roses. The gorgeous cake by La Petit Cakes brought a lightness to the heavy colors of the session with cream colored icing and fresh flowers. To bring the whole autumnal theme together, we created a signature drink, Fall Harvest Sangria.

The recipe is:

1 bottle Malbec red wine
12 ounces Apple Juice
8 ounces black grapes
8 ounces red raspberries
4 sliced black plums
100 milliliters brandy
8 ounces blackberries
4 ounces of strawberries
4 ounces of blueberries

Combine all ingredients. Let soak overnight.

To give inspiration to all of the vendors before putting everything together, we came up with a story behind the girl at the fireplace:

James Worthington was not the type to be spontaneous, but when he saw Amelia Summers across the room in a cafe in Budapest, he knew he had to meet her. Sitting in a quiet corner engrossed in her favorite book, Amelia was surprised when someone asked to sit beside her. She was even more surprised to find herself talking to him for hours bonding over their love of French literature, traveling, and espresso. Amelia and James fell into a rhythm of meeting every day for coffee in cafe; over the months, their friendship turned into something more until, on a chilly day in October, James Worthington proposed to Amelia. They planned an intimate affair with their time spent in Budapest in mind coupled with her Southern heritage. She wanted to incorporate sayings from her favorite poets and he wanted to focus on the love between them. With the help of friends and family they gathered fruits and berries to naturally decorate their wedding space. Their love was a perfect union of Southern warmth and European style.

Vintage Chic Southern Wedding Inspiration

Inspired by Southern simplicity, Runway Events created a romantic photo shoot for The Hons to capture, filled with lovely lace details and vintage chic touches that can’t help but take you back to those days of yesteryear we hear so fondly of. See every inch of pretty in this gallery and don’t miss the film by Lasting Blueprint for a sneak peek of all the beauty that went down during the shoot itself.

[iframe http://player.vimeo.com/video/109982997 600 338]

From The HonsThis ‘Reverie in Lace’ 1940’s styled photo shoot showcased a refined Southern simplicity and we couldn’t be more excited to share it. A collaboration of vendors wanted to prove that simplicity can go a long way.

A Chair Affair rentals pushed down barriers to bring us a beautiful warm wood table and benches that we feel bring guests together and create a more intimate space. The rich wood helps break the minimal decorations on the walls and let’s the honest beauty of the venue shine through. Runway Events styled the shoot with beautiful peach roses, ivory cabbage roses, lush greenery and delicate babies breath. As a floral runner, the combination is a airy contrast to the warm wood table and blends beautifully with the antique floral China.

These refined choices offer a natural, austere ambiance without over doing it. Brides are always looking for gowns that can perfectly combine their ‘ever since I was a little girl’ dreams and the desires of the woman they have become. Modern Bridal accomplished all of that in this 1940’s inspired trumpet gown.

This backless Pronovia gown has intricate lace, delicate ruffled chiffon and gentle beading to add a touch of elegance. Paired with a fingertip scalloped veil to match the bead work, it completes this lush, romantic bride. Sometimes a dramatic makeup does just the trick, but the arcadian venue at The Acre called for a charming touch.

Shantell Tavarez, makeup, and Amanda Stone, hair, gave this homespun bride just enough Southern charm! A simple low bun with a side wisp of bangs adds femininity and won’t stress the bride out during the getting ready process. As you can see the warm blush to highlight a dramatic cheekbone and adds just enough drama to set the bride apart from the guests. Company Forty Two provided us with ethereal invitations that portrayed the rustic wood and delicacy of the South, without being too ostentatious.

Surely a wonderful prelude to the intimate nuptial guests are about to witness. To end the day, Soffelle Confections, added handcrafted sweetness in the form a of an nontraditional cake that reflected the bridal gown. Covered in ivory and cream fondant, the lace applications and string of pearls are perfect for this shoot.

We aimed to capture the elegance of the bride and the details. We used the natural light to hold on to the softness and warmth of Southern Charm that only a wedding day could hold.

From The Bride… The day I got married turned out to be one of the coldest days in Florida. As someone who prefers scarves, boots, hats and coats, the temperature drop turned out to be a sweet surprise. From the beginning, Andrew and I had wanted to get married outside and we’d found the perfect place and now we had great weather, if a little chilly.

Bella Collina is a picturesque, Tuscany inspired club house situated in the hilliest part of Central Florida. The buildings are made of these beautiful golden hued cobblestones which proved to be a lovely backdrop for our ceremony and reception. Since the weather dropped, we ended up getting a large, clear tent which actually enabled us to get a giant chandelier to hang on top of our dance floor. Not to mention kept the heat in.

By the time guests arrived, it was in the mid-forties. At the last minute we added hot apple cider to be served along with an assortment of cheese, breads and crackers. I’m told it was a life saver.

For the wedding, I wanted a classy, gold sequined affair. The groomsmen wore black suits and ties (Andrew wore a gold tie with his black suit) while my maids wore different dresses in varying shades of gold. I encouraged gold sequins. Everywhere. The cake table had a gold sequined table cloth, my bouquet was wrapped in it and several of my maids were donning it.

I’m the owner of a design + letterpress studio based in Winter Park, Florida. I had so much fun designing our wedding invitations and made sure to include lots of gold foil ;)

My husband is from Portland and he is a coffee enthusiast. We dated long distance and every week I received a batch of his favorite coffee from Cannon Beach. I designed coffee bags with our wedding date, monogram (just the letter D) and Andrew letterpress printed them right in our studio.

A word about how Andrew and I met… About a year ago, a sweet girl named Katie moved to Florida from Seattle for a boy. Just a month after she left everything back home and trekked across the United States they realized it wasn’t meant to be. It was at that point she needed to make a decision; should she move back or attempt a life here in Florida? She decided to stay and promptly looked for a roommate.

I was that roommate. We were introduced randomly at a bar and I decided that she’d make a great roommate; sweet, ordinary, and heartbroken. We spent that first month becoming friends, watching lots of Pride and Prejudice and eating dark chocolate. It was then she told me about her cousin Andrew, who lived in Portland. I was a little concerned at the distance, but Katie gave my email address to Andrew and it wasn’t long before he and I wrote novel length emails back and forth…the emails turned into phone calls and the phone calls turned into FaceTime dates. We talked every day for two months before he came to visit me on July 2nd. We met at the Orlando International Airport. We got engaged that September and were married in January. If you knew me better, you’d know I’m a raving sentimentalist and a romantic. I couldn’t have asked or expected a better love story.

From Amalie Orrange Photography… I have always had a love for everything French, and I loved the idea of marrying the French blue and white traditional china with a whimsical pallet of pinks. My mom collected most of this type of china while I was growing up and I always loved the beautiful patterns on the plates. I gathered together some of Orlando’s most talented, creative and amazing wedding professionals to help me bring my vision to life. Katie from RW styling was a key player in this shoot, she listened to my ideas of bringing whimsical and traditional together to create a fun and cheerful welcoming of spring. We called the shoot “Mon Amour” which means “my love” in French, and thought it would be sweet to tie in subtle French accents with the crepe cake that I made, cute bicycle and the French chalkboard signs thoughout.

The Sugar Suite made a bow cake that is cute as can be! I could see brides going wild over this pretty and feminine cake. Lee Forrest knocked it out of the park with the gorgeous florals and that wreath was amazing!! I hope you enjoy and are inspired by this fun shoot, because we had a blast putting all of the details together.

Glitter Wedding at The Citrus Club

I’m a firm believer that every Monday deserves a bit of sparkle. And today loves, we’re in for a treat, because this glammed-up fete from Amalie Orrange Photography has enough sparkle to last us all week long. Inspired by one of my personal faves, the sequin chevron linens from La Tavola, every inch of this celebration is covered in glittery goodness. Get your shine on in the gallery!

From Amalie Orrange PhotographyI loved Erica and Chris’ wedding, it was beautiful, glamorous, and most of all fun. Here is a bit about how they met from the bride Erica…We were just two college kids going to a happy hour with our friends at The Knight Library bar near campus (UCF). It all started when I walked into the bar to meet up with some other friends who were accompanied by another boy who I did not recognize. His blonde hair and blue eyes coupled with the fact he was wearing boat shoes, had really drawn my attention. He immediately introduced himself, politely, as a gentlemen would and invited me to play a game of flip-cup (somehow those normally don’t go hand-in-hand). From there on, the rest is history…

From The Bride…I was completely surprised by Chris’ proposal. To set the scene, he is a die hard UCF fan and we had a home football game vs Southern Methodist University on Saturday, November 3rd. It was Chris’ birthday and I decided to throw him a tailgate party and have our friends and family attend his birthday celebration before the game. Normally Chris is shotgunning beers with friends and enjoying himself a little too much, but this day felt a little different. As lunch was consumed and we were about to cut the “supposed” birthday cake, Chris began to thank everyone for coming out and enjoying the day with him. An unusual turn of events happened next. Chris grabbed my hand and had me come cut the cake with him. As my eyes focused in, I could see “Will You Marry Me?” transcribed on top of the chocolate icing. Before I could acknowledge what was happening, Chris went down on one knee, glared into my eyes and told me that all he wanted for his birthday was me. Before I could collect my breath and the couple skips of my heartbeat, I couldn’t help but give him a fat kiss before I said yes!

I have been dreaming of my wedding since a little girl. With the help of my wonderful wedding planner, Kristen Johnson with An Affair To Remember, we were able to put my vision into reality. With my vision set forth, it all came to the forefront when Kristen showed me a sample of gold sequin linen’s. From there we sat down and drew out my equation to building the dream wedding I always wanted; think of trendy, yet classy with a touch of southern charm.

Stemming off my vision, I would refer back to the gold sequin linens as my favorite design element. Not only were they a great talking point for the wedding reception, but they had fit perfectly with our venue (The Citrus Club). Every part of our reception had a detail; from the gold animal place settings defining the guests meal, to the vintage framed mirrors displaying our cocktail list. We even included a ‘pawty favor’ dog treat, which was a special homemade recipe from our pup, Dailey. We tried to create an ambience that included a special touch everywhere you looked.

Gold spray paint was our best friend over the past 18 months. In addition to previously mentioned items, we also made our table numbers, bathroom signs, introduction banner and confetti toss bags, just to name a few.

What was your favorite part of your wedding day? The entire day was memorable; it is hard to chose just one! I still replay our wedding each day in my head. Besides our actual wedding ceremony at St. James Cathedral, seeing our reception venue for the first time was absolutely breathtaking. The culmination of efforts between Kristen, our vendors and us, blew away my expectations. An added element, which I kept secretive for the prior 8 months, was inviting a surprise guest to our reception. With Christopher being a huge UCF fan, our college mascot, Knightro, made his appearance by catching the garter toss, which was a huge surprise once Chris turned around.

Florida Wedding full of Vintage Charm

As much as I love a great glitter moment (hello table numbers) it’s the last kiss of this gorgeous wedding night captured by Ashley McCormick that really sealed the deal. It’s the perfect ending to a beautiful day full of vintage details by RW Events, florals by Peddles and, of course, some great glitter details thrown in for good measure. See even more right here.

From Mallory, the Bride… Brad and I had huge crushes on each other before we ever met. We went to the same gym for over a year and saw each other almost daily, but we were both too shy to introduce ourselves. I eventually moved to the opposite side of town (and a new gym). A couple of years later, we happened to run into each other at a local watering hole. We finally had the courage to talk to each other that night, and we have been inseparable ever since.

Our wedding day was everything we dreamt it would be. From the bowtie napkin folds, to the vintage tufted chairs and settee, to the mint green armoire we used as our cake table and the vintage Cadillac getaway car, every detail oozed vintage charm.

One of my favorite wedding projects was putting together a display of all of our guests’ wedding pictures. We were able to get a wedding photo from every single married couple that attended ours. It was a huge project (thank goodness we had almost two years of planning time), but they payoff was a beautiful display of over 40 photos of the people we love most on their own special day. It was so rewarding to watch our guests find their wedding photo and instantly be brought back to their very own wedding day.

One of the most memorable parts of the evening was honoring my grandparents during the reception as they celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary that night. I introduced my grandparents to our guests and shared their story – how they moved their family of seven from the Philippines to the U.S. but not before spending more than seven years apart from my grandfather after he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. I explained that when my grandparents were married fifty-five years prior, they had borrowed everything from the veil to the bouquet from their church. I then dedicated my bridal bouquet to my grandmother because she deserved to have her own. We all toasted to my grandparents’ accomplishment and watched as they shared their own special dance to the song Unchained Melody, sung by my lovely sister.

Brad and I waited for so long to meet each other, wondering silently and curiously about each other. When we look back now, we know that it was meant to be that way. Neither of us ever will ever forget that feeling of butterflies that we used to get as we would pass each other in the gym, and we will always know how lucky we are to be in each other’s lives in the capacity that we are today. It may have taken some time to get there, but when we were both ready to meet our other half, just like our wedding day, it all happened so seamlessly.

Raspberry + Striped Wedding Inspiration

Three things that are on my favorite list are present in this beautiful bit of wedding inspiration from Amalie Orrange Photography: stripes, that beautiful raspberry color, and a naked cake. In my humble opinion, the shoot, dreamed up by Ashley Stapleton of Table 6 Productions, featured the trifecta of perfect wedding details, and I’ll love it forever because of it!

Whimsical

From Amalie Orrange Photography… Ashley from Table 6 productions came to me with an amazing idea for a shoot, a bright fresh raspberry palette with a nice bold black and white stripe, I was sold!

This shoot really started with raspberries! Ashley knew from the start she wanted to incorporate that beautiful raspberry color and she loved the idea of pairing it with something bold like black and white. The cake was a huge part of the shoot for her, she really wanted the cake to be bold, fresh and romantic and we think the naked cake with fresh berries captured all those elements perfectly in one.

Vintage Orlando Lake Lucerne Wedding

Today will forever be the day that I fell in love with the sweetest vintage wedding, complete with polka dot invitations, a type writer guest book, and a bouquet filled with beautiful blooms and raw cotton. Oh, and just the cutest couple I’ve ever seen. All courtesy of Claudette Montero from Alucinarte Films.

From the stunning bride… Trevor and I met in college where we were both studying their passions. Though our fields are very different, we found something familiar and inspiring in one another. After five years as a couple, Trevor proposed to me under the same weeping willow where I played as a child. Our wedding was a reflection of what matters most: Our southern roots and the timeless values that will guide us on their new journey as husband and wife.

From the Down the Aisle Weddings & Events… We absolutely adored this couple, and are elated that they loved every detail of their big day as much as we did.

Ashley and Trevor are a true vintage couple! Their home, fashion, and likes are all influenced by a classic, throwback style, and that is what we wanted to bring into their wedding day, our plan was to create an aesthetic that was truly romantic and soft, drawing on a color palette that accents the beauty of our bride and groom and the rich settings that surround them, making for visually arresting images of this timeless couple.

During our first consultation, Ashley said she wasn’t set on a color scheme or flowers, but rather wanted every decorative element to compliment their venue, an historic inn in the heart of downtown Orlando. Being familiar with the venue’s existing decor, we suggested doing a bridal bouquet consisting of natural cotton and some blush blooms and assorted berries. She loved the idea, so with this in mind, we suggested a mix of ivory, blush, and soft yellow florals offset with rich gold accents. We are in love with the bridal bouquet– it was amazing to see our vision brought to life so beautifully!

As the sun set, the DJ kept the wedding guests dancing the night. The cake, had a lovely vintage cake topper selected by the bride and was accompanied by a selection of mini desserts that were a big hit with the guests.

Rustic Glamour from 5Thirteen Designs + Jessica Connery Photography

I like to think of this darling shoot as the perfect way to start the weekend.  Well, that, and a darn good way to spend your Friday.  Because when a talented team of vendors (think 5Thirteen DesignsL.I.F.E Events and De Azucar Bakeshop… just to name a few) join forces for some citrus-inspired pretty, it’s a sort of virtual celebration.  One that combines drop-dead gorgeous stylings with non-stop inspiration.  See it all captured by Jessica Connery right here.

From 5Thirteen DesignsGet ready to feast your eyes on the beauty of this styled shoot! We designed this shoot with an aim to incorporate chic and rustic elements in a quaint southern setting. Choosing three colors (pink, green, and yellow) within the citrus family, we focused on delicate and elegant details accented with gold. We featured a real life couple who are so passionate about each other you could hear the air sizzle between them.

The exquisite farm table was set with a delicate lace runner anchored by delightful flowers that faded from green to yellow to pink. Simple white chargers embossed with a delicate floral pattern were highlighted by gold cutlery, watercolor inspired napkins and paper menu. Gold chiavari chairs were adorned with handmade lace caps to bring a decidedly elegant and chic quality to the setting.

Our invitation suite which included invitations and RSVP cards, seating cards, paper menu, and table number was created using pink, green, and yellow in graceful watercolor strokes that incorporated the metallic gold juxtaposition to the delicate nature of the suite.

Resplendent florals included roses, asters, hydrangeas, orchids and so much more.

The bride donned an empire waisted slim a-line dress with delicate beading around the bodice and a gorgeous rhinestone broach attached to the sash. To complete the look we pulled in a lime green fascinator with a birdcage veil that complemented her red hair and low braided up do perfectly.

Orlando Engagement Session from Kelian Photography

Two things: I now need a zebra umbrella before my life can feel complete and a copy of I Married Adventure with that signature zebra cover. It’s a zebra thing and a way too cute to pass up thing. And this Orlando engagement shot by Kelian Photography has all of that plus a really sweet couple. This twosome clearly shares my love for those black and white striped animals and a love for each other which shines bright in every single one of these images. Have a look here for more.
