I’ll be the first to tell you that I absolutely adore a couple who gets a little creative with their e-sessions. Crazy cool props, fab themes, unique settings?  I love it more than most.  But, sometimes all it takes is a breathtaking backdrop, two of the cutest sweeties you’ll ever lay your eyes upon and image after image of pure lovely and it’s more than enough.  And that’s exactly the sweet combo we have in this beautiful shoot from Daybreak Studios with its sooo in love duo, crystal blue waters and miles upon miles of St. Augustine pretty.  Click here for sooo much more.

 

From Daybreak Studios… I met Katie and Jay at Cafe Eleven for our first consultation and after one minute of talking to these two, I felt like we’d known each other for years. They are so laid back, in love, and radiate with smiles from the moment you meet them. We had such a fun time shooting at the Washington Oaks Gardens State Park in St. Augustine, Florida. Gorgeous gardens, beautiful beach, and perfect weather! Congrats to these two genuinely lovely people.

This probably goes without saying, but I happen to think that any twosome that serves comfort food at their reception is awesome.  Awesome in that “we’re serving mac ‘n’ cheese” kind of way.  And these adorable lovebirds?  They fit the bill quite nicely with their chicken ‘n’ dumplings, corn casserole and, yes, mac ‘n’ cheese feast.  They also happen to know a thing or two about throwing a beautiful wedding, with one drop-dead gorgeous (+ love-filled) moment after another taking our breath away in the full gallery captured by Becca Borge.  Join me there for all of the pretty.

From Becca Borge… This bride and groom (Tiffany and Don) married at the lovely Winterbourne Inn on the St. Johns River in Jacksonville, Florida. Tiffany wanted a relaxed, intimate, and Southern feel which was accomplished through a cozy atmosphere, eclectic decor, games of ladder ball being played during cocktail hour, and of course – an amazing spread of the best homemade comfort food dishes around (mac ‘n’ cheese, chicken ‘n’ dumplings, corn casserole, etc.)

It’s a wedding that will stand the test of time, and from the looks of these two lovebirds, its a love story that will too. From Amalie Orrange… Abby & Nick had a gorgeous wedding, from the champagne and charcoal details, to the beautiful sunny day that make Florida so famous. Abby found me via Style Me Pretty and we hit it off from the start. She has such great classic style and wanted that to come across in all of the details in their wedding. Abby & Nick’s monogram appeared throughout the entire wedding from the programs, guest gift boxes and the bridesmaids monogramed “getting ready shirts”. 

From the Bride… We met in Tallahassee, FL while we were both second year law students. Nick, a die-hard gator fan and UF alum, transferred to FSU law after a year at Ole Miss. His best friend and fraternity brother was in my first year law school class and told me I needed to meet his friend who was transferring. Jokingly, I said, if he’s an obnoxious Gator like you, this Seminole fan is not interested. Little did I know, he talked me up that entire summer and we all hung out as friends once Nick arrived in Tallahassee. Our first date was October 24, 2008. I guess you can say, the rest is history.

Nick and I both now live in Jacksonville, FL. After a year or so of renting a house with a group of guys, Nick was bit by the “house buying” bug. I would walk through houses with him and comment on design ideas, etc. At this point, we both knew that any house would one day become our home together. Fast forward to actually buying a cute, 1960′s red brick house in Jacksonville. After getting keys to the house, but before moving anything in, amidst drop cloths and paint cans in an empty living room, Nick got down on one knee, said that he wanted to start our life together there in that house.
