Florida Orange Grove Engagement Session

Get ready for a splash of happy across your screen, loves. This adorable (read: cutest ever) engagement session from Everlasting Love Photography is dotted with sunny oranges, smiles, some juggling and of course, the pretty bling that started it all. See even more right here!

From Everlasting Love PhotographyI am so excited to share this warm and sunny engagement session with you all! For this session, I shot a mixture of both digital and film images. Shooting with film gave forced me to take my time, giving Michael and Liz the opportunity to savor the moments of their engagement session. I hope you enjoy some of my favorites from their session!

From The Bride…Michael and I were excited to have a destination engagement session in the Sunshine State. While Florida is home for now, we met at Iowa State University. Brought together by common interests, we soon became good friends in Ames, Iowa. After being “just friends” for four years, we finally decided to give dating a shot. We slowly realized that this was the real thing, and we wanted to commit our lives to one another. Not only did we have common interests, we had a similar vision for our life together. Our passion to impact the world brought us to Orlando, Florida this year to work for a non-profit organization. We feel honored that Everlasting Love Photography came down to Florida from Iowa to capture our story through photography. We’re possibly headed back to the Midwest soon, but no matter what, we will always have something to remember the year of our engagement by.

Orange Grove Engagement from Jason Mize Photography

Monday mornings call for an extra dose of adorable, if I do say so myself. So today, Jason Mize is helping us serve up the style in an extra cute way with this super fab Florida engagement session. It’s a little bit vintage and a whole lot of adorable, and it’s all right here for you to enjoy.

From the Bride… Chris and I met our sophomore year of high school. Our friendship formed slowly over Spanish class, house parties, and rides out to the beach with mutual friends. As our friendship grew, we found ourselves driving all of Florida together in search of hurricane swells and good waves. He surfed, I took pictures, and along the way we got to explore different parts of our beautiful state. As we grew older, our many years of friendship turned to love, and after four years of dating, Chris continues to be my best friend. He continues to make me laugh daily, and we continually challenge each other to new adventures.

Our most recent adventure is beekeeping, so choosing a location for our engagement photos where we could incorporate our honey was really important to us. We also wanted a location that showed Florida’s natural beauty. We came across the Showcase of Citrus orange grove in Clermont and we were instantly attracted to it’s “Old Florida” style. It was the perfect blend of Chris’ love for gardening and my love for old, vintage things…and orange blossom honey happens to be one of our favorite types of honey!

We wanted the session to reflect who we are as a couple, so we kept it personable by using our own items as props – a blanket from my childhood, our picnic basket, a vintage Florida tablecloth, books we have around the house. Of course we had to include our black lab, Lola, and she behaved so well for her part of the shoot! We were able to use our jars of honey as our Save the Dates. As we were taken out to the orange grove, an employee brought us to the most wonderful prop – a light blue vintage flatbed pick-up truck. It definitely tied everything together beautifully and we ended up getting some of our favorite shots on the back of that truck.

We were so glad to work with Jason for our engagement photos. Chris and I are both pretty camera shy so we were a little nervous with being the “models” for the day. Jason helped us feel comfortable and natural in front of the camera and it was amazing how the photos really show who we are as a couple. We really couldn’t have chosen a better photographer and we are so excited to see how he captures our wedding day!
