A Vibrant, Color-Filled Rooftop Wedding with Sweeping Chicago Skyline Views

[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

As lovers of a good time and of their beloved city of Chicago, Meaghan and CJ planned their wedding to ensure guests have as much fun as possible, complete with sweeping views of the city. The Offshore Rooftop at Navy Pier was an easy choice, thanks to its prime location and panoramic views of Lake Michigan and the skyline.

[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]By the end of their senior year at Tufts University, Meaghan and CJ knew they wanted to be more than friends. And while everyone insisted that starting a new relationship just a few months before graduation was a bad idea, they didn’t care. They moved to NYC after graduating and shared a tiny apartment while applying to medical schools. They navigated two years of long-distance dating while Meaghan finished medical school. CJ supported her every step of the way, and during Easter weekend of her intern year of residency, he surprised her with an Easter basket. Meaghan nearly brushed it off amid their busy weekend plans, but CJ asked her to take a closer look. Inside one of the eggs was a ring. “He asked me to marry him in the living room of our apartment, which was exactly how I wanted it to happen,” wrote Meaghan. Afterward, they headed to a friend’s dinner party — an engagement celebration that had been planned all along.[/field]

Meaghan wore a classic ballgown with an off-the-shoulder neckline for the special day. “I got my wedding dress at Lovely Bride bridal shop, the designer of the dress is Watters Bridal. I had been to several other bridal shops in Chicago with my friends, but decided to go to this shop at the last minute when my cousins were visiting. I was actually with my cousin when she found her wedding dress unexpectedly. It must have been some family magic because when she came with me, I found my dress immediately.” “I also knew I wanted a second look for the reception, and had been eyeing this bridal boutique in LA called Loho Bride for some time. There was a designer, Katherine Tash, whom I was obsessed with, but some of her pieces were only available in trunk shows. By chance, I had one free weekend off when Katherine Tash was doing a trunk show at Loho Bride, so I decided to fly down there for 36 hours to try on the dress. Two of my bridesmaids live in LA, so I stayed with them, too.”

A theme of bright summer colors and water-inspired elements unfolded, creating eye-catching, color-blocked decor moments and a flowing ceiling installation that evoked movement and light. While the ceremony took place at the Catholic church where Meaghan grew up, the reception returned to the rooftop space designed to showcase the views. A seating chart was displayed on bold, colorful pillars topped with coordinating floral arrangements. Accents throughout, like pillows, candles, and linens, matched the bright, funky aesthetic, and the dance floor featured their striking fabric installation overhead.

Guests left with goody bags stocked with the couple’s favorite snacks and local treats. [/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]Reminding couples that the small details can feel overwhelming during planning, Meaghan and CJ emphasized, “What really made it all so special was seeing everyone have fun together,” the two explained.[/field]

An Elegant Autumn Destination Wedding in Gstaad Inspired by the Golden Hues of the Swiss Alps

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]White, pink and green[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

Set against the golden hues of the Swiss Alps in autumn, Greta and Makenzi’s destination wedding in Gstaad was a celebration of love, intention, and elegance. Planned and designed by Ana Toniolo Weddings, the day beautifully blended modern sophistication with the cozy warmth of a Swiss mountain escape. The couple envisioned a celebration that felt intimate yet refined. Filled with laughter, heartfelt moments, and details that reflected their story. Switzerland holds deep meaning for the couple. Greta spent nearly two years living there, and after she and Makenzi met, it became where they celebrated their December birthdays and the holidays together. Bringing loved ones along was a way to share a place central to their story.

[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]Greta and Makenzi got engaged in the picturesque mountain town of Zermatt over the winter months. Greta reached out to plan the proposal in secret, and it was such a joy to document the surprise amid the snowy landscape. A decade before the proposal, Greta had written in her diary on a solo Zermatt hike that life was too short — and too beautiful — to spend it alone. She fulfilled that wish by gifting Makenzi these pages as part of her proposal, a moment perfectly captured by Brianna with the Matterhorn as their breathtaking backdrop. [/field]

Fashion played a central role in expressing Greta and Makenzi’s personalities and style. One bride wore a custom-tailored ivory suit, and the other chose a sleek, minimalist gown featuring delicate pearl detailing, both by Calla Lilies. Together, their looks complemented each other perfectly.

Guests were treated to a taste of Switzerland with a menu celebrating local flavors. In true Gstaad style, the evening began with an al fresco aperitivo hour, featuring crisp Aperol Spritzes and refreshing gin & tonics. Dinner unfolded in a warm, candlelit setting inside Le Grand Bellevue, where cozy elegance met fine dining at Le Grand Bellevue’s Leonard’s restaurant, the perfect reflection of the couple’s love for travel, connection, and intentional moments shared over exquisite food. From the brides: Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the food—especially the beef Wellington. More than a few said it was the best meal they’d ever had. But surprisingly, the true star of the night was the lamb’s lettuce salad: lamb’s lettuce with lardons, croutons, and an egg mimosa with French dressing. This is a salad we eat every time we are in Switzerland. We were initially told it wouldn’t be in season yet. But on our wedding day, the chef surprised us by serving it anyway, knowing it was our favorite. Who knew a salad could hold so much meaning? Paired with incredible local Swiss wines—which we’ve had the pleasure of tasting many times during our yearly trips to Switzerland (white wine: Médinette Dézaley Bovard-Blanc; red wine: Rosso di Luna, Ticino)—the meal felt unforgettable, an experience we’ll cherish forever. Everything felt extra special because we went against the traditions we thought we had to follow and instead honored what truly felt like us. There were so many thoughtful surprises for our guests that the room was filled with emotion. It perfectly achieved what we had hoped for: a wedding that reflected us, celebrated our love, and showcased the best Switzerland had to offer. Every single decision was made with intention.

[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

They selected romantic, timeless florals—mixing hydrangeas and roses—crafted to feel both chic and tasteful. This contrast between classic floral choices and contemporary forms helped create a fresh yet elegant concept for the ceremony. For the dinner stationery, they chose to close each personalized, handwritten letter to their guests with a wax seal and a pink tassel, visually echoing the silk pink tassels of the dining room chandelier. As guests took their seats, each received a letter “from the brides” to open.

[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”] [/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”][/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]

Greta and Makenzi wanted their destination wedding to feel personal and infused with touches of home, which is why they chose Le Grand Bellevue. The hotel felt chic and eclectic, like an extension of their own style—how they would decorate their home—and renting it out allowed their guests to feel special and at home in every room and space, creating an experience that felt thoughtful and personal throughout. While searching for the perfect venue, Makenzi had a very specific standard, and found a venue where every detail, from the staff attire to the hotel florals to the upholstery, was perfect. Le Grand Bellevue was flawless, with every inch thoughtfully maintained.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]

The brides enhanced the venue’s charm with custom touches, including personalized cocktail napkins featuring their sweet dog and rainbow flags given to guests during the ceremony. Every detail was designed to make everyone feel cared for—just as Greta and Makenzi love taking care of friends and family when hosting at home. They also wanted a menu that reflected special moments from their seven-year relationship and offered their guests a taste of Switzerland’s best. The chef from Michelin-starred Leonard’s delivered a culinary experience that truly reflected their personalities and tastes.

Manhattan Meets the Mountains: A Black-Tie Wedding in Steamboat Springs with Western Charm

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]

Set against a sweeping field overlooking a crystalline lake and the dramatic rise of the Rocky Mountains, Emily and Michael’s wedding blended black-tie sophistication with the soulful romance of the American West. The palette was drawn directly from the Colorado landscape: layered greens and sunlit golds softened by peaches and pinks to make the florals pop against the natural landscape.

[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

Emily and Michael met through mutual friends in New York City, where their relationship grew amid the rhythm of downtown dinners, weekend strolls, and a shared love of country music, travel, and time spent outdoors. When they began planning their wedding, they imagined a weekend where city sophistication softened into Western charm, a celebration that felt true to where their story began, and the expansive beauty of the West. Their signature cocktails were designed with that same intention, bridging those two worlds of “Manhattan Meets the Mountains,” an effortless meeting of New York glamour and Colorado’s beauty. The Friday evening welcome party set the tone for the celebration, hosted at the couple’s favorite downtown Steamboat restaurant, E3 Chophouse. Guests embraced the “cowboy cocktail” attire with suede jackets, bolo ties, cowboy hats, and well-worn boots, while checkered linens and cowboy-hat drink stirrers added a playful Western touch. A beloved local band, one that often plays at the nearby ski mountain, filled the space with country favorites, making the night feel both personal and distinctly local.

[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]

Michael proposed to Emily in the back garden of their New York City apartment. He had a whole dinner planned with both of their families to celebrate, and the next day, a party where all of their closest family and friends gathered.

Their signature cocktails were designed with that same intention, bridging those two worlds of “Manhattan Meets the Mountains,” an effortless meeting of New York glamour and Colorado’s sweeping beauty.

[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

Floral design played a transformative role in the weekend celebration, evolving from relaxed and meadow-like to lush and immersive. The welcome party embraced a playful, wildflower-inspired aesthetic, allowing the local blooms to speak for themselves. By contrast, the wedding day unfolded into a richly floral world within the tent, where abundant blooms climbed the poles and cascaded across tables for a fully enveloping effect. “I wanted the wedding florals to feel purposeful and concentrated. I wanted there to be a clear color scheme to pop against the natural beauty of the West. Dahlias are my favorite flower, so I wanted those to be present throughout each arrangement,” said Emily.

[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]

For the cake, the bride and groom wanted to keep the feeling overall simple and classic. A small cascade of florals made the design feel cohesive and part of the wedding.

[/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]

The couple danced to “Hold My Hand”, as they both love country music, especially Darius Rucker.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]

The bride’s grandparents were unable to make it, so they recorded them saying the Irish Prayer and played it during the ceremony, so that they were still part of the celebration.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]

The bride and groom’s moms came up to the altar during the ceremony to help them tie the Celtic knot.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]

Personal touches also found their way into the details: the escort cards, displayed in wine corks from Lambert Bridge wine bottles, paid homage to the groom’s family vineyard in Sonoma and served as an intimate nod to family tradition. As it was the winery’s 50th anniversary year as well, it felt extra special to use these corks.

A Chic Bridal Shower Blending Greek Summer Vibes with Hermès-Inspired Luxury

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”The Inspiration”]

Nicole envisioned a bridal shower that felt joyful, feminine, and deeply personal. Having grown up visiting Spencer’s on the Waterfront, the venue held meaningful nostalgia for her, making it the perfect setting to celebrate alongside her closest girls. With her upcoming wedding in Greece, Nicole wanted to echo that bright, sun-washed warmth back home in Ontario — creating an atmosphere that felt celebratory, elegant, and full of light.

[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]

The palette was intentionally vibrant yet soft: bright coral, warm pink, layered blush tones, and crisp white. Together, these hues created a fresh, romantic look that felt both elevated and joyful — a beautiful nod to Mediterranean warmth while remaining timeless and refined.

[/field]
[field title=”The Venue”]

Spencer’s on the Waterfront was a natural choice for this celebration. Beyond its sentimental significance to Nicole, the waterfront setting and light-filled interiors offered a stunning backdrop for a bridal shower that felt airy, elegant, and welcoming. The space allowed the design to feel both intimate and grand, perfectly suited for a gathering of close friends and family. The colour also loved the gorgeous blue water that guests can see out the windows, giving a hint at that Greece Vibe that would be soon to come!

The florals and décor were intentionally flower-forward, featuring hundreds of stunning ranunculus and roses in a rich mix of coral, blush, and warm pink tones. With little to no greenery, the design allowed the soft, feminine hues to truly shine, creating a romantic and elevated atmosphere throughout the space. Each place setting was accented with its own floral arrangement, bringing the blooms up close and creating an immersive tablescape, while the head table was wrapped in lush, vibrant florals that beautifully framed the bridal party. Behind the sweets table, floral towers completed the scene, forming a breathtaking backdrop and tying the entire design together with elegance and impact.

[/field]
[field title=”Favorite Design Element”]One of our favourite design moments was the soft draping installation that welcomed guests upon arrival, instantly setting the tone for the celebration. Lush florals filled the space, adding movement and romance throughout, while blush and white striped tablecloths brought a playful yet polished layer to the tablescape. A beautifully styled sweets table became a focal point of the welcome room, tying together colour, texture, and femininity.[/field]
[field title=”Tips To Pull Off The Look”]

Nicole completed her look with glamorous waves and a blush pink Chanel handbag, perfectly complementing the overall aesthetic and adding a timeless, fashion-forward touch.

[/field]
[field title=”DIY Moments”]Personal details made the day feel especially thoughtful. Each guest took home a box of traditional homemade cookies, a heartfelt nod to family and tradition. As a fun and interactive element, guests were also gifted hot pink luggage tags, with their names hand-calligraphed live at the event — a playful detail inspired by travel and Nicole and John’s upcoming destination wedding in Greece.[/field]

A Blush and Peach Garden Wedding with Butterfly Motifs and Meaningful Korean Details

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]

The wedding palette centered around soft whites, blush pinks, and layered shades of rose. To keep the palette feeling bright and fresh in the garden setting at Twin Willow Gardens, we added peach as a bridge tone. The warmth of peach complemented the natural wood tones of the venue while allowing the pinks and roses to feel romantic rather than overly sweet.

[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

Luke and Nikki’s vision was elegant, romantic, and deeply personal. Both are Korean adoptees and share the experience of growing up somewhat disconnected from their cultural heritage. For their wedding, they wanted to honor that shared identity in subtle but meaningful ways while still creating a refined garden celebration that felt true to them. Butterflies became a central design motif inspired by Nikki’s gown, which featured a dramatic bow detail reminiscent of butterfly wings. That inspiration carried throughout the wedding design. From the seating chart installation to delicate butterfly accents throughout the reception, the theme created a feeling of lightness and movement that complemented the garden setting beautifully. We designed a custom toile wallpaper showcasing their love story. It had a traditional Korean house representing their culture, a bee to represent meeting on Bumble, butterflies, which symbolize harmony and new beginnings between a married couple in Korean culture, and their adorable pup Miso. Another subtle cultural detail appeared in the table numbers, which were written in both Korean and English as a quiet nod to the couple’s heritage. The reception took place outdoors beneath a tent at Twin Willow Gardens, creating a romantic garden atmosphere as the sun set and the celebration continued into the evening.

Dinner featured Korean cuisine as a meaningful nod to the couple’s shared heritage. Guests enjoyed dishes such as kimchi fried rice, and later in the evening, a nostalgic late-night snack of Shin ramen was served, which guests absolutely loved. Act 3 Catering provided the catering, and the evening felt both elegant and warm as guests gathered under the tent to celebrate.

[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]Florals were designed by Emerald City Flowers, featuring lush arrangements in layered shades of pink. Suspended floral installations hung from the tent ceiling, creating a magical garden atmosphere above the reception space.[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]

The wedding cake, created by Alewa Bakeshop, was a breathtaking six-tier design adorned with sculpted roses and delicate butterflies that appeared to float across the cake. The rose and white detailing made it both romantic and architectural, perfectly complementing the overall design of the day.

[/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”][/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]One of the most striking design moments of the wedding was the custom butterfly seating chart installation. Our design team created a wooden wall structure where escort cards were cut into butterfly shapes. Krisanna Elizabeth hand-lettered each guest’s name and table assignment directly onto the butterflies. The installation was arranged so the butterflies appeared to be flying off the wall, creating a sense of movement and whimsy that tied beautifully into the day’s design.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]

The couple’s beloved dog, Miso, also played a special role in the wedding. Attended by Wags Down the Aisle and wearing a delicate floral collar, she joined Luke and Nikki for the recessional, walking back down the aisle with them after the ceremony. It was an incredibly sweet moment that had guests smiling and perfectly reflected the couple’s love for their pup.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]Luke and Nikki chose to have a private first look before the ceremony, where they exchanged handwritten letters. It was an emotional moment as Luke read Nikki’s words and became visibly moved. In a moment that perfectly captured their relationship, Nikki noticed that Luke’s bow tie had been crooked all morning and gently fixed it for him before they walked into the day together. It was a small gesture that spoke volumes about their partnership and set the tone for the heartfelt celebration ahead.[/field]

As cocktail hour began, an array of small bites circulated among guests, from mini crab cakes to mac and cheese balls. The evening was catered by the Junior League of Houston, delighting guests with offerings that ranged from a Southern Fare Bar to a Mashed Potato Bar. Halfway through the celebration, the couple surprised everyone with a midnight treat of Crush Pizza and Jeni’s Ice Cream.

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

The ballroom at The Junior League of Houston was brought to life by Blooming Gallery. Working with the room’s already stunning backdrop and wallpaper, the team layered florals, textures, and thoughtful details that enhanced, rather than competed with, the space. A custom green center bar served as a focal point, highlighted by four staggered peony-only vases that created a showstopping moment, all surrounded by lounge-style seating. The custom dance floor, by Mike’s Dance Floor Rentals, was wrapped in a blue chinoiserie bamboo lattice pattern.

[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]Inspired by Wedgwood, Chocolate Llama designed a showstopping five-tier blue wedding cake adorned with delicate details, including the couple’s custom crest. The bride wore a romantic Monique Lhuillier gown that felt effortlessly at home in the Provençal setting: soft, feminine, and timeless in its movement. Annie’s bridesmaids complemented the wedding palette in delicate powder blue, creating a subtle, ethereal contrast against the warm stone of Gordes, the rich greens of the vegetation, and the sun-washed landscape.

The floral design created by Linda Champenois embraced a refined blue and white palette, layering lush hydrangeas in soft whites and varying shades of blue to create depth and richness throughout the celebration. One of the most meaningful moments of the day was slipping away into the village of Gordes for portraits. Wandering through its ancient cobblestone streets and stopping in front of Ladurée, the couple embraced the charm of Provence, capturing imagery that felt both cinematic and deeply personal.

Set in the heart of Gordes, one of France’s most picturesque hilltop villages, the celebration unfolded amidst breathtaking views of the Luberon Valley. The surrounding landscape—lavender fields, olive groves, and sunlit stone architecture—created an atmosphere of understated luxury where Annie & Sean’s guests could both indulge and unwind.

During cocktail hour, guests enjoyed Spinach Ricotta & artichoke stuffed mushrooms, Peach panini bites, fried artichoke, bacon-wrapped short rib canapes, and tuna tartare. Their signature cocktails were named after quirky phrases from the groom’s favorite TV show: “Brian’s Hat,” which included Bourbon, muddled peaches, lime juice, simple syrup, garnished with raspberries and lime. The “Driving Crooner” incorporated Tequila, watermelon simple syrup, lime juice, garnished with lime and a sugar rim. For dinner, guests enjoyed a watermelon salad with local goat cheese feta, jalapeño, cucumber, nasturtium, and ginger vinaigrette. For entrees, guests had a choice between beef tenderloin and gulf shrimp with demi-glace and lemon butter, pesto mashed potatoes, sweet pepper relish, and asparagus; seared Verlasso salmon with tomatoes and lemon butter, warm lentil salad, and asparagus; or a balsamic-glazed chicken breast with ricotta and herb gnocchi, asparagus, toasted walnuts, and parmesan. In addition to the wedding cake, guests sampled locally made ice cream and multiple flavors of macarons.

[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

At their tented ceremony, the chuppah was adorned with lush late spring flowers arranged in a gradient pattern, allowing each color to stand on its own while also blending in with the others. Their ceremony aisle was lined with a variety of beautiful, colorful flowers. To avoid overwhelming the eyes, we arranged the flowers in a gradient pattern down the aisle and similarly at the reception tables. This resulted in a stunning and cohesive garden-inspired dinner reception.

[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]The couple’s wedding cake was a delicious lemon cake with vanilla custard and strawberry preserves. The multi-tier cake was decorated in light blue icing and decorated with dainty flowers in the color palette of the day.
[/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]

The ceremony was officiated by the groom’s brother and featured readings by the groom’s family, including the bride’s young nephew, who read a passage from “The Romance” by Shel Silverstein. The music was performed by a string quartet, who played “Heroes” by David Bowie for the wedding party’s entrance, “Sweet Child O’ Mine” by Guns N’ Roses for the groom’s entrance, and “Here Comes the Sun” by The Beatles for the Bride’s entrance. For their recessional, the quartet performed “All You Need Is Love” by The Beatles. During the reception, the couple danced to “Got To Get You Into My Life” by The Beatles for their first dance.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]For their seating chart, guests picked paper flowers from a painting of a seaside garden. Flowers blended in with the scene, giving a three-dimensional effect to the artwork. [/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]

The couple was excited to have a fun cocktail sign that felt three-dimensional. We designed a sign that incorporated obscure quotes from the groom’s favorite television show. Surrounded by a wreath of flowers, it hung off the front of the bar, making it more part of the scene.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]

The rain fell for most of the day, but stopped just before the ceremony, allowing the guests to enjoy the beautiful location by the water. Guests enjoyed using the small fans provided for them at their seats due to the humidity from the rain. Luckily, the sun came out just as the couple exited the ceremony tent to “All You Need Is Love” by The Beatles.

A Moody Wedding Editorial at Lucid Wild Estate Inspired by Architecture, Light, and Landscape

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”The Inspiration”]

The inspiration for this styled shoot was drawn directly from the property itself — allowing Lucid Wild Estate to lead the creative narrative rather than layering on an external theme. The estate’s modern architecture, moody interiors, and expansive natural surroundings invited a design approach rooted in contrast: light and shadow, intimacy and openness, structure and softness. The property unfolds like a story, with each space offering a distinct emotional tone. A richly atmospheric interior lounge — anchored by a sculptural octopus installation beneath glowing lights and accompanied by the warm crackle of a record player — inspired a darker, more editorial moment focused on texture, depth, and mood. This sense of intrigue was balanced by the openness of the winery and vineyard views, where natural light, organic materials, and the surrounding landscape brought a feeling of ease and quiet romance. Design choices throughout the shoot echoed the estate’s inherent duality. Clean, modern lines were softened with tactile elements, while elevated styling was grounded by the raw beauty of the land. The underground cave added another layer of inspiration — a hidden, unexpected space that encouraged a more intimate, almost cinematic interpretation of celebration. Ultimately, this shoot was an exploration of how a wedding day can move fluidly through environments, each space revealing a new chapter. The goal was to show couples how their celebration can feel deeply personal and visually dynamic, all while remaining cohesive and intentional from beginning to end.

[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”][/field]
[field title=”The Venue”]

Located in Oregon wine country, Lucid Wild Estate is a newly introduced wedding venue that offers couples something truly distinctive: a property designed around experience, flow, and atmosphere. Modern yet inviting, the estate feels expansive without ever losing its sense of intimacy — an ideal setting for celebrations that value both design and connection. What sets Lucid Wild apart is its collection of thoughtfully curated spaces, each with its own identity. From the moody interior lounge featuring a striking octopus installation, softly glowing lights, and a vintage record player, to the winery itself — rich in character and craftsmanship — the venue allows weddings to unfold across settings that feel layered and intentional. Outdoors, the estate opens to sweeping vineyard and valley views, offering a breathtaking backdrop for ceremonies, cocktail hours, and sunset portraits. The surrounding landscape enhances the sense of escape while maintaining a refined, understated elegance. Below ground, the estate’s cave introduces an unexpected element — a textural, atmospheric space that adds depth and intrigue to the overall experience. As a new venue, Lucid Wild Estate brings a sense of discovery to the wedding landscape, appealing to couples who are drawn to originality and thoughtful design. It is perfectly suited for celebrations that feel modern yet romantic, immersive yet personal — where every moment is shaped by its surroundings and every space tells part of the story.

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]The wedding gown was chosen to mirror the balance found throughout Lucid Wild Estate — refined yet expressive, modern yet romantic. With a silhouette that felt architectural in its structure and fluid in its movement, the dress complemented the venue’s clean lines and contemporary sensibility while still embracing softness and emotion.

Against the moody interior spaces, the gown’s texture and detailing caught the light beautifully, creating a striking contrast that felt editorial and intentional. Outdoors, it moved effortlessly through the vineyard setting, echoing the natural flow of the landscape and reinforcing the sense of ease that defines the property. The result was a look that felt timeless without being traditional — perfectly suited for a bride drawn to thoughtful design and immersive surroundings.[/field]

A Modern Garden Party Wedding in Soft Pastels with Personalized Floral Details at Azuridge Estate Hotel

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]Sage, Sky Blue, Lavender, Coral[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

Kristin and Cody’s wedding was designed to feel like a romantic, modern garden party filled with warmth, personality, and moments of pure fun. We played with soft pastel tones layered in fresh, contemporary ways to create an atmosphere that felt both inviting and elevated. Every detail was thoughtfully personalized to reflect their story, from the floral-forward design to the intimate touches woven throughout the day. Our goal was to create a celebration that felt welcoming, joyful, and beautifully tailored to who they are as a couple, and their wedding unfolded exactly as planned.

[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]A fun fact about our story is that we actually met at my cousin’s wedding — he was the best man, and neither of us had any idea that day would change our lives. For the proposal, he planned the sweetest surprise. He took me out for dinner, and while we were gone, his parents quietly snuck into our home and filled our bedroom with what felt like a million flowers and glowing faux candles. When we returned, I said I was going to change into something comfy, opened the door, and froze. The whole room was transformed. I turned around to ask what was happening, and he was already down on one knee.[/field]

[field title=”Food & Drink”]Guests were treated to an elevated culinary journey that perfectly complemented the celebration’s romantic garden-party atmosphere. Cocktail hour unfolded in the two-story gazebo overlooking the ceremony space, where guests enjoyed signature drinks and beautifully crafted canapés, including chicken empanadas with creamy chipotle sauce, seared ahi tuna “tataki” on multigrain crackers with pickled papaya and wasabi aioli, and grilled Alberta beef striploin skewers with teriyaki and toasted sesame. Dinner began with a fresh Caesar salad featuring kale and romaine, followed by guest-selected entrées of Hawaiian mahi-mahi, Alberta AAA beef tenderloin, or mushroom ravioli. The meal concluded with plated tres leches cake, a thoughtful nod to the groom’s favourite dessert – the perfect sweet finish to an unforgettable evening.[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

The ceremony’s backdrop overlooked a serene pond, so we chose delicate, airy florals that framed the view without competing with the natural beauty of the grounds. For the reception in the Tourmaline Room, we layered shapes, patterns, and textures to create a modern, immersive design. One of our favourite details was the vision of florals winding organically around tapered candles – a challenging concept that Kate from With The Seasons brought to life with incredible artistry. Guest tables featured a curated mix of full floral arrangements, petite table lamps, tapered candles, speckled stone charger plates, and sand-striped napkins. To incorporate a playful nod to the groom’s love of the NFL ( in particular the Philadelphia Eagles), crest-shaped menus echoed the escort wall’s theme. Even the bar carried personalized touches, with custom cocktail napkins featuring the couple’s dog displayed alongside the signature drink of the night: espresso martinis.

[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]

Instead of a traditional cake, Kristin and Cody opted for a playful and modern twist: an espresso martini tower placed beside the bar and dance floor. It became an instant focal point and a stylish nod to their love of hosting a good party. As dinner concluded, guests were invited to enjoy a perfectly chilled espresso martini before heading straight to the dance floor, creating a seamless transition from dining to celebration and setting the tone for an unforgettable evening.

[/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”][/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]

Early in the design process, we learned that the groom is a devoted Philadelphia Eagles fan, and his fiancée asked for a subtle nod to the team — with one request: make it look good. We happily embraced the challenge. In collaboration with Ali from The Social Page Design Studio, we created custom escort cards inspired by the Eagles logo, reimagined in a refined, modern style that aligned with the overall aesthetic. Each card was placed on a glass of champagne, offering guests a fun, unexpected moment that blended personality with polish as they found their seats.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]

One of the sweetest moments of the day came from the bride’s desire to surprise her dad with his favourite treat: Dilly Bars from Dairy Queen. We coordinated the delivery in secret and presented the bars on serving trays lined with custom paper featuring the couple’s wedding branding and monogram. To make the moment even more charming, the staff served the father of the bride first, wearing lavender lace gloves that perfectly matched the wedding’s romantic aesthetic. It was a cute surprise and absolutely worth every bit of planning and secrecy.

An Olive, Sage, and Soft Yellow Celebration Beneath the Redwoods at Dawn Ranch

[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

Annie and Danny’s wedding was a nature-immersed celebration full of storytelling and connection. Dawn Ranch’s towering redwoods and sunlit apple orchard set the tone for an elevated outdoor celebration, where meadow-style florals, soft textiles, gathered greens, and organic materials transformed the landscape into a living extension of Annie and Danny’s adventures together.

[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]

Annie and Danny do not have a traditional proposal story. After many years together, they made a thoughtful and intentional decision to formally commit to one another. While they had always known they wanted to spend their lives together, getting legally married was not initially a priority. Over time, however, they realized how meaningful it would be to gather their closest friends, family, and loved ones in one place to celebrate their love. Dawn Ranch felt like the perfect setting, grounded in nature and designed for connection, where guests could stay for the entire weekend and truly feel a sense of community. The celebration unfolded over several days and included a welcome barbecue beneath the sycamore trees, a morning yoga class led by the bride herself, and a relaxed pool party.

Sides included broccolini with lemon oil and crispy potato pavé with garlic and rosemary. At each place setting, the couple included a place card envelope with a heartfelt handwritten note for every guest.[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

Flor de Mar Designs created a winding, garden-style meadow of blooms and textural grasses for the ceremony, nestling the heart-shaped rocks Annie + Danny collected throughout their travels. Reception tables were dressed in relaxed taupe linens, sage napkins, airy bud vases, and natural earthen textures that played beautifully with the orchard’s shifting light.

[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]Annie and Danny decided to pass on a traditional wedding cake as the dinner menu spoke for itself. [/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]

The couple incorporated a meaningful and unexpected twist into their wedding ceremony. Rather than sharing their vows publicly, they chose to keep that moment private. Guests were given small bags containing a tiny bell, a pen, and slips of paper, and were invited to write well wishes for the couple as Annie and Danny exchanged vows with the microphones turned off. When finished, guests rang their bells, creating a soft, joyful chorus that surrounded the couple as they privately committed to one another. It was an intimate gesture that honored their desire for privacy while still beautifully involving their loved ones in a deeply memorable moment.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]

At the dinner reception, Annie and Danny surprised guests with an interactive table game, Two Truths and a Lie. Each table was named after a destination the couple had traveled to together, with menu cards featuring two truths and one lie inspired by their adventures in that place. Guests guessed the false story, then opened a sealed answer envelope revealing the true stories alongside Polaroid photos of the couple from that destination. Each table also displayed a heart-shaped stone Danny collected from that same location, framed in reclaimed wood, sparking conversation and connection throughout dinner.

Historic Stone and Modern Chiffon Set the Scene for a Minimalist-Chic Wedding at Manoir Davis

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”The Inspiration”]

The inspiration for this styled shoot was a blend of Historic Charm and Minimalist Chic, creating an atmosphere of quiet luxury and refined elegance. We deliberately contrasted the rugged, centuries-old stone facade of the Manoir Davis with clean, modern styling elements, such as the white chiffon drapery and streamlined furniture. The overall vision aimed to showcase a love story that feels both timeless and perfectly contemporary, honoring the venue’s rich history while appealing to the modern couple with an appreciation for sophisticated simplicity.

[field title=”The Venue”]

Le Manoir Davis in Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts is the meticulously restored neoclassical estate, originally known as Château Belvoir, of Canadian “Tobacco King” Sir Mortimer Barnett Davis, built circa 1910. The property, managed by Belvoir, underwent a major restoration and was reopened in 2021, blending prestigious history with modern luxury in the Laurentian mountains. Spanning 10,000 square feet on a 12-acre property, the manor offers 8 elegantly renovated rooms and multiple opulent common areas. It serves as an exceptional and private backdrop for various events, providing a unique and expansive setting for guests.

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]The bride’s look was the epitome of chic simplicity, focusing on clean lines and modern romance. She wore a sophisticated, tea-length A-line dress featuring a contemporary corset-style bodice, which offered a fresh, fashion-forward alternative to a traditional gown. Her accessories were minimal yet exquisite: a pair of stunning gold hoop earrings with delicate pearls, and a single-tier cathedral-length veil that added a dramatic, ethereal contrast to the shorter hemline of the dress.[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Party”]

The groom embodied classic, timeless formality in a sharp, impeccably tailored black tuxedo and vest, a look that perfectly balanced the historical backdrop of the venue. Instead of a traditional necktie, he wore a simple yet elegant black silk bow tie, complementing the deep black and gold accents seen in the stationery and cufflinks. This traditional formal wear provided a strong, masculine anchor to the overall soft and romantic aesthetic of the shoot.

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]The floral design embraced a classic, garden-inspired aesthetic but utilized only white and cream blooms, punctuated by generous amounts of lush, trailing greenery for organic texture. The arrangements, housed in elegant white stone urns and pedestals, were intentionally oversized to create an impactful visual statement against the simplicity of the white backdrop. Key blooms included white hydrangeas, garden roses, and tulips, with cascades of fern and other varied foliage, creating a romantic, luxurious, and fragrant environment for the ceremony and reception setting.[/field]
[field title=”Favorite Design Element”]

The stationery suite was designed to be crisp, modern, and high-contrast, perfectly aligning with the “Minimalist Chic” element of the concept. The design featured elegant, flowing calligraphy for the couple’s names, Marie-Lou and Steve, set against a classic, stark white background with minimal text in a deep black font. The suite was photographed alongside a deep forest green surface and the groom’s black silk bow tie and black-and-gold cufflinks, highlighting the sophisticated contrast of the overall color palette.

[/field]
[field title=”Tips To Pull Off The Look”]The dessert display was thoughtfully designed to elevate a classic treat into a piece of art, perfectly fitting the chic and sophisticated theme. Instead of a traditional wedding cake, we opted for individual servings of rich, layered tiramisu, presented in vintage-style coupe and stemmed glassware and stacked in an elegant, modern tower. This choice provided a luxurious, individualized experience for guests while the cocoa-dusted layers added a beautiful depth of color and texture to the white environment.[/field]

An Arizona Desert Wedding with Terracotta, Apricot, and Sandstone Hues Beneath the Tortolita Mountains

The design was inspired by a desire to incorporate a meaningful element of Arizona, copper – one of the state’s Five C’s (which are the cultural identities of the state) – served as the foundation. Varying shades of copper and complementary colors were woven throughout the design to complement the natural backdrop of the Tortolita Mountains without competing with it. [field title=”Florals & Decor”]

The ceremony featured a lush floral ground arch in a desert-inspired color palette, thoughtfully framing two saguaro cacti as the focal point. Two additional ground floral arrangements framed the back of the aisle. This design allowed the natural desert landscape to remain prominent, creating a setting that felt both organic and refined. The reception featured two distinct centerpiece styles. Round tables showcased organic arrangements in a desert-inspired color palette, accented with a small cactus at the center and a trio of ribbed pillar candles for soft candlelight. The feasting tables featured a series of low, round floral arrangements in the same palette, layered with ribbed pillar candles to create rhythm, height, and a warm, romantic glow. Together, the two styles balanced texture and scale across the Tortolita Lawn. The stage served as a focal point as guests entered the lawn for the reception, accented with lush, low floral arrangements designed to frame the band without overpowering them. The florals added warmth and cohesion while tying seamlessly into the overall color palette and design. The wood-and-white, checkered dance floor completed the space, subtly reinforcing the natural textures and tones woven throughout the design.

A Hydrangea-Filled Wedding Inspired by Summers in Maine with Soft Blues, Fresh Greens, and Hints of Coral

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]

The wedding palette was inspired by Haley’s lifelong love of hydrangeas, flowers that held deep sentimental meaning from summers spent in New England, visiting her grandmother in Maine. Soft blue hydrangeas became the heart of the design, evoking coastal nostalgia and timeless elegance. As planning progressed, Haley and her mother introduced layered shades of green to bring in a fresh, spring-like energy, along with subtle pops of soft coral and yellow woven into the florals to add dimension and warmth.

[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]Haley envisioned her wedding as something straight out of a Nancy Meyers film—romantic, coastal, timeless, and filled with light. Drawing inspiration from her childhood growing up near the water in Florida and summers spent in New England, she was immediately drawn to a refined seaside aesthetic that felt both Southern and Northeastern in spirit.

The design blended classic Charleston Lowcountry charm with Cape Cod–inspired coastal elegance. Hydrangeas were always intended to be the star, grounding the overall look in tradition and sentiment, while oyster details, garden-inspired florals, and layered textures brought the vision to life. With the guidance of her planners, Christina and Mia of Christina Baxter Events, and her mother, Haley’s ideas were transformed into a cohesive, story-driven design, one where each detail felt thoughtful, romantic, and intentionally connected.[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]

Haley and Nick’s proposal took place in Kennebunkport, Maine, an incredibly meaningful location for Haley, who spent many summers there visiting her grandparents and falling in love with New England’s coastal charm. While in town for a close friend’s wedding over Labor Day weekend, Nick planned what Haley thought was a simple brunch outing the morning after the celebration. As they walked along the ocean, Nick casually suggested they head closer to the water after claiming he spotted a whale offshore. Navigating the rocky beach in platform heels, Haley quickly realized something was happening when she noticed a photographer nearby. Nick, being visibly nervous, turned to her with a heartfelt speech meant just for the two of them. He dropped to one knee and asked her to be his wife, leaving Haley overwhelmed with emotion and tears before finally managing to say yes. Moments later, their parents appeared to celebrate alongside them! Nick had secretly flown his mother in from New York so she could be part of the moment. The rest of the day was spent celebrating throughout Kennebunkport, soaking in the joy of the engagement and creating memories Haley will cherish forever.

Finding the wedding gown was an emotional journey for Haley. Inspired by the elegance of Hailey Bieber’s off-the-shoulder, long-sleeve lace look, she searched for something timeless and romantic. After several appointments and a moment of doubt, she found her dress at Anjolique Bridal, ironically, the very first gown she tried on there. As she slipped into the dress, Enchanted by Taylor Swift played in the background, the SAME song she had always envisioned walking down the aisle to, performed instrumentally by a quartet. Overcome with emotion, Haley knew instantly she had found “the one.”

[/field]
[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]Haley wanted her bridesmaids to feel confident and comfortable while still maintaining a cohesive look. The girls wore dresses in the same shade of blue from Dessy Group, each choosing a silhouette that suited them best. As a subtle point of distinction, the matron of honor wore a blue-and-white patterned dress, adding visual interest while staying true to the overall palette.[/field]

The groomsmen wore classic rented suits from Joseph A. Bank, allowing them to look polished and coordinated without the pressure of custom tailoring.

As the night continued, espresso martinis were served as a late-night treat, energizing the dance floor and adding a playful, celebratory moment to the evening.[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

Florals were lush, romantic, and garden-inspired, featuring white ranunculus, sweet peas, garden roses, and abundant hydrangeas. Designed to feel airy and organic, the arrangements evoked the feeling of a coastal New England garden in peak spring. The most iconic design moment was the hydrangea cloud suspended above the dance floor. Each bloom was carefully installed with individual water vials to ensure freshness throughout the evening. Floating overhead, it became a breathtaking focal point and one of Haley’s favorite elements of the day. Textured blue linens, green cut glass goblets, and silver berry and thread napkin rings elevated the tablescape. Soft draping and custom green lampshades added warmth and whimsy to the space. Oyster shell escort cards guided guests to their tables, offering a meaningful nod to both Charleston’s coastline and the couple’s New England roots.

A Coastal Fine Art Wedding Weekend in Pastel Blue with Vibrant Haldi and Blush Sangeet Celebrations

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]

Mitali & Ryan chose a pastel palette for their Wedding celebration, inspired by the coastal charm of South Florida. Baby blue was a highlight throughout the Wedding day palette and was used for thebridesmaids’s dresses and day-of stationery. It was accented by soft blush, yellow, peach, and cream colors. Their Haldi Ceremony took place the day prior, and featured a more vibrant variation of the Wedding palette with an emphasis on tumeric yellow as a nod to Haldi tradition. Their Sangeet followed that evening, and we chose to emphasize the soft blush from their overall palette as the primary color for the Sangeet design.

[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

The overall inspiration for Mitali & Ryan’s Wedding design was coastal fine art, which was inspired by the location and incorporated a soft pastel palette, loose and organic florals, light and airy design, and personal romantic touches woven throughout. Mitali and Ryan’s Wedding Weekend was cross-cultural, with traditions from each of their backgrounds featured throughout the weekend’s events. It was important for Mitali, who was born in India, to include the Haldi & Sangeet traditionsino their Wedding Weekend, so we planned both events to take place the day before their traditional Wedding. We hosted an intimate Haldi Ceremony on Friday morning at a carefully selected Airbnb that could accommodate the event. Their Sangeet followed that evening at The Wonder Gardens and served as a Welcome Party for all of their guests to kick off the weekend’s festivities.

[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]

Ryan proposed to Mitali surrounded by a floral arch at the top of a hotel in Kentucky, which is where they met while studying for undergrad in the University’s Library exactly ten years before their official Wedding date.

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

The floral design was a top priority for Mitali and Ryan, and Signature Florals did an incredible job capturing the vision throughout the weekend’s events! The Wedding Ceremony featured a stunning freestanding floral arch in the wedding palette with white petals sprinkled down the aisle, and oversized arrangements on columns at the top of the aisle to ground the overall design. We carried the floral design into the Reception, with luscious, tall floral centerpieces and low compote floral centerpieces paired with light blue taper candles. Glass was a primary material for the accent decor to provide a light and airy feel throughout the design. We opted for elevated chair rentals for the Ceremony and Reception, which made a huge impact in the overall design, and were provided by Trinity Event Rentals along with glass scalloped chargers and an arched bookcase that staged their custom seating chart. For the Sangeet the evening before, we elected to do a cocktail-style layout with a mix of high-top and low bistro tables paired with honey bentwood chairs that were carefully placed around a honey oak and white dance floor that set the stage for the event to unfold. All rentals, including a lounge set that served as a photo backdrop next to the English conservatory, were provided by Trinity Event Rentals. We wanted to have more fun with the design of the Sangeet, so we decided to incorporate disco balls from Kelsi Elizabeth Events’ inventory throughout the design.

The invitation suite was carefully selected from different designs to tie together all of the design elements of the weekend, and even included a sage green English conservatory for the Sangeet invitation that was a nod to the venue. The suite was tied together with a soft blue silk ribbon that matched the choice of the bridesmaids’ dresses.

Mitali and Ryan’s Sangeet took place the evening before their Wedding, and doubled as a Welcome Party at The Wonder Gardens. Guests entered the park and enjoyed a preview of all of the park’s beautiful wildlife on the way to the Sangeet, which was held on the Peacock Lawn. Set amongst the trees and wildlife, the location featured a stunning sage green English conservatory that served as a beautiful backdrop for the event amongst the natural beauty of the park itself. A henna artist was on-site to provide traditional Indian henna to guests during the event. Guests danced the night away, and were surprised by choreographed dance performances by both the Bride and her Bridesmaids and the Groom and his Groomsmen. It was definitely a highlight of the whole weekend!

Mitali and Ryan met in a library exactly ten years before their Wedding date while they were in college, which was the inspiration behind the design for their custom seating chart which featured an arched bookcase rented from Trinity Event Rentals with custom covered books in the wedding palette that Kelsi Elizabeth Events sourced and displayed for each guest which indicated their table assignment and doubled as a guest favor. It was a huge hit and elevated the guest experience!
