Dessert Bar by Popisme
We have a delightful little shoot for you today sent to us by the lovely Caroline Tran. She teamed up with Popisme, a fab new dessert concierge firm, along with stylists Picture Perfect Events and Fleuretica and all together they created a little slice of heaven featuring yummy treats from Cakes by the Pound. What could be dreamier than scrumptious desserts that are literally floating in the air? These out of this world confections really need no further introduction so lets get to the goodies, shall we?

Popisme’s dessert concept came about with the desire for guests to feast first with their eyes, then with their stomachs. We wanted to create an inviting after-dinner environment, displaying desserts in a non-traditional way. ‘Floating’ acrylic trays were the inspiration to an airy theme complete with soft billows of chiffon, clouds of tulle, rainfalls of ribbon, and delicate desserts. We collaborated with Mendy Pound from Cakes by the Pound to create sweets centered around the theme with mini lemon meringues, white chocolate malts, angel food cake, and Austrian coconut donuts. Mendy’s cake served as the centerpiece with it’s pearlescent cloud accents. Delightful confections of cotton candy and marshmallows completed the light and whimsical fare. The soft, romantic dreaminess was captured by Caroline Tran, who we knew could understand the ethereal essence that we sought. We were truly blessed to have a great team to work with!
