Ladies, let’s be honest. There are times in all of our lives where we unleash the “girliness” from within. Times where we indulge all our feminine wants, turn up the Madonna and celebrate being a GIRL. For me it happens every time I step foot in Sephora. But it also happened on my wedding day. A day where all women, if they so choose, get to don an incredible handpicked dress, jazz up that hair of theirs and flutter around with the bouquet of their choice. Well, today’s gorgeous backyard wedding, designed by The Treasured Petal, reminded me that each and every girl’s wedding day is special, beautiful and, in some way, a celebration of being a girl.

Courtney Toney of Joyful Weddings and Events was the talented Planner behind the goodness you see above and she filled us in on some crucial details:
Kelsey and Carl chose to get married in her parent’s backyard to give their wedding an intimate, personal feel. Kelsey is a girly girl and wanted to include all things pink, lace, vintage and pearly. Carl requested that there be a romantic ambiance, with a “Great Gatsby” dreamy vibe.
The feminine pink florals were lush and romantic, including garden roses, dinner plate dahlias, fragrant stock, and hydrangea. Arrangements overflowed from lace-wrapped vases, silver urns, mint julep cups, and chandeliers. Strands of glass pearls and crystals adorned the arrangements.
The couple are high school sweethearts so they have a lot of history together. To bring their story into their wedding day, we included personal touches like naming each of their 20 tables a different location that they had traveled together. Kelsey’s mom found vintage napkins to use as hand-sewn runners on the cocktail tables and also created a waling wall where guests could write prayers for the couple. We collected vintage silver serving trays to display escort cards along with thousands of loose pearls.
The day could not have been dreamier- beautiful California weather, gorgeous florals and a beaming bride and groom. The reception was a blast with a rocking band, customized southern cuisine and delicious desserts.

OMG! I love this wedding! Love the lace, the garden flowers....the pink and ivory! This wedding whispers flirtiness!!! Love it! I love the BM's dresses- everyone looks so gorgeous! Abby, your description of all things girly is truly eminent in this posting. Love it; thanks for sharing!
BTW- I love the lace vases/candle holders. So perfect!
This is gorgeous. I love the crystal/beads draped in the ceremony decor. All of it is so, so pretty!
The details of this wedidng are perfect. I especially love the wooden box with the flowers and candles. The lace vases that hold the candle are sweet, too. All the elements here make for the perfect princes wedding day!
I love this wedding.
Can you tell me where you got that "This Way to the Wedding" Sign?
The details are gorgeous and so elegant yet simple!
pretty bridesmaids! and bride too of course!
Love the classic, yet fresh feel to this wedding...and better yet, I LOVE Josie Jean's work!! I have worked with her for most of my wedding clients and am so happy to see her work on SMP!!
That is the prettiest chuppah I have ever seen!
This is such a beautiful wedding! What color linen was used for the reception tables?
LOVE it! Pretty please can someone tell me where I can get/rent those hanging glass vases that decorated the aisle?! :) PLEASE?
I think the link to the rest of the images is broken :(
Yes! I'd also love to know where they got the vases hanging from the Sheppards hooks - and also the crystal garland; were those rented?
I absolutely love this wedding it is so classic and beautiful!! Can you fix the link to the photo gallery? I would like to use some of the images for inspiration! Thanks!
GORGEOUS, BEAUTIFUL.... FLOWERS, PICTURES AND DETAILS! BRIDAL PARTY TOO!
This is the most lovely wedding I have ever seen. Everything is so perfect and pretty.
This is stunning....so so pretty!! Oh to have a backyard like that to get married in!!
So um, wow!!! This wedding was created out of my own heart!! Whomever designed it said hey, I'm going to look in Jessica's heart and design this wedding lol (or the brides heart lol) These are not my own personal colors I'm using, but the softness and just simply pretty details are a lot like what i'm doing for mine.
The wedding linens came from Fusion Linen's in Lake Forest. Their phone number is (949) 916-4880.
We used the Charmeuse Satin Table Linen's in Charcoal and the napkins were their Shantung Satin in Cotton Candy...
What a beautiful soft decor! I love it and I don't usually like the girly girly look. Also love the bridesmaid dresses, they are simple but also a little different. All round beautiful.
Gorgeous flowers, LOVE the arch!
How did you get the wooden box to float in the pool?!? I love it!!!
This is indeed lovely. However, I think the comment about getting married in "her parents backyard" is a bit disingenuous. Come on. It's obviously a very nice estate, not some middle class suburb. And some big bucks were spent here.
Absolutely gorgeous!!
Where did you get the bridesmaid dresses?? I LOVE them and didn't see them on the Melissa Sweet website. Can you tell me which store in SD and how much please? Thanks!
