The Sweetest Wedding Signage We Ever Did See

Alright we’re just going to come out and say it, sweetest wedding signage ever. And if you think that’s good, just wait until you see the rest of this stellar celebration captured by Kati Mallory Photo & Design. An outdoor ceremony capped off with classic details a la Anne-Claire Allen Planning & Design, we’ve got it all waiting for you to favorite via The Vault!

From Anne-Claire Allen Planning & DesignThe wedding of Lauren Billheimer and Tyler Pettigrew was a perfect pairing of their darling personalities. The outdoor ceremony and reception at the beautiful Castle on Stagecoach pulled in aspects that represented both the bride and the groom; Tyler, a farmer from a small, Delta-community, was right at home being outside and amongst so many family and friends, while Lauren’s easy-going temperament and elegant style came through in each bit of the design aesthetic.

The layout of the ceremony was kept simple to highlight the natural beauty of the Castle estate and the surrounding grounds, but guests were kept comfortable on classic, mahogany-colored chiavari chairs under the established tree where the couple wed. The dusty blue dresses worn by bridesmaids paired perfectly with the beautiful spring background as they said their “I do’s,” which was officiated by a dear, lifelong friend. A local harpist provided soft music to create the most magical ambience.

After the wedding ceremony, guests immediately retreated to a nearby tent for dinner, dancing and a night of fun! Florist, Felecia Pleis of Cabbage Rose, curated a soft, organic floral design composed of neutral creams and greenery that was carried through from the bridesmaids bouquets to each arrangement displayed at the reception. The Southern buffet served to Lauren and Tyler’s guests was not only filling, but also delicious (thanks to Gina’s Catering) and capped off with an unique 4-tier, marble bridal cake (created by Mickey’s Cakes and Sweets). Family and friends celebrated the new Mr. and Mrs. Pettigrew under a sky full of stars while dancing the night away!

A “Dream Status” Garden Wedding Planned in Six Months!

The fact that Blooming Love Events helped pull this couple’s dream wedding together in six months flat absolutely blows my mind. Because when you see these images, not to mention the beautiful thought woven into each and every detail, it can only be described as a labor of love. They brought on Katie Grant to photograph and she totally delivered.

Romantic

From Blooming Love EventsWhen Fei & Hang came to us they were a complete blank canvas , all they knew was they needed to get married in 6-months time due to family reasons. Thanks to their wholehearted trust and cheerful nature, it was such a joy putting together this wedding full of gorgeous details, captured perfectly by Katie Grant Photography.

As half of their guests were coming from overseas, the couple wanted a place that carries a piece of Australian history and at the same time has spacious outdoor garden for the guests to enjoy. After some intensive venue scouting, the couple set their heart on Como House & Garden and Quat Quatta as ceremony and reception location respectively. Incorporating Fei’s favourite color blush and the subtle cream color of her dreamy Suzanne Harward gown, we opted a soft colour palette of blush, peach and cream, with accents of gold for a touch of luxe. The invitation created by Michaela McBride Calligraphy had a custom monogram and sketches of both venues, done on deckled edge paper in soft grey and bundled with blush silk ribbon.

The ceremony was held at the pine and cypress surrounded fountain terrace, with Como House, the grand Italianate style mansion as the perfect backdrop. After entering in a cream vintage Rolls Royce, Fei was walked up by her father through an aisle lined with lush roses, hydrangeas, delphiniums, and greenery. Fifty closest friends and families witnessed the couple exchanging their vows in front of the flower adorned fountain and showered the newlyweds with rose petals.

The guests then made their way to Quat Quatta to enjoy drinks and canapes in the green hedged courtyard. Neutral linen furniture, hanging festoon lights and a classy string quartet set a romantic and relaxed mood for the following banquet inside. Under the soaring ceiling, two long tables were covered in eggshell linens and twinkled with candle lights spread between gardenesque floral arrangements in different heights. Each place setting was graced with ornate plates, cut crystal glasses, gold flatware and a monogrammed menu tucked in hemstitch napkin. Although the couple chose not to have a bridal dance, three hours quickly went by with joyful toasts, laughter and heartfelt speeches.

The Wild West Gets a Romantic Makeover with This Inspiration Shoot

The Wild West used to mean cowboys, campfires and adventure. Today, the Wild West means, thanks to Tamara Gruner Photography and Belle Soul Weddings, romantic nostalgia mixed with organic beauty and masculine details. Think: designer gowns, natural florals and warm hues. Head to The Vault to see all the pretty!

From Belle Soul WeddingsThe inspiration for this shoot came from the beauty of the honey colored foliage of the Colorado landscape playing against the grey of the rocks and the water. A desire to highlight the masculine details of the rustic terrain by giving the groom equal importance while indulging in the soft bridal romance of the day led us on an incredible journey to create this inspired shoot. With a nod to old Colorado, our bride and groom are a modern version of the spirited romantics of a time gone by.

Details of tobacco leaves, cigars and whiskey add to our groom’s rugged yet elegant styling while our bride and her attendant savor the delicate sweetness of honeycombs, lace and hand dyed silk ribbon.

From the bespoke intimacy of hand calligraphed love notes to stolen moments amidst the deep Colorado canyons, our ruggedly romantic couple make the day their own.

Cake:
Fresh pear cake with mascarpone filling and a bourbon honey drizzle

Get Lost in This Colorful Atrium Inspiration

Outdoor weddings are so last year. The new trend? Why not get married in a atrium inspired greenhouse. Thanks right, take note from the creative minds of Hey Look and bring the outdoors in and say ‘I do’ while surrounded by plants and plenty of pretty. Thanks to Katja Scherle we’ve got just the gallery to inspire it all. See how you can pull it off in The Vault!

From Hey LookElina & Laurence were dreaming of an elegant, tropical destination wedding in Cuba. Old-wordly glamour, palm trees, striking architecture and vibrant colours. For budget- and simple logistical reasons however, their dreams and reality just did not want to meet. Their planned ceremony and wedding in a traditional Finnish location were far from the tropical atmosphere they had wished for.

So, we created this little “elopement” from their wedding for them – a wedding session with the feel of their dreams in a location almost just outside their door steps. The Helsinki botanical garden offered the perfect setting – incredible flora, gorgeous architecture and a tropical climate.

“Good Vibes Only” Was the Motto of This Miami Wedding

Though this gorgeous Bride originally wanted to elope, her handsome Groom ultimately convinced her that a wedding was worth it, especially if it was a wedding full of “good vibes only.” This meant friends and family all around, amazing vendors (like Lynne Avallone Bridal and Special Occasion Makeup and Capture POD Photo Booths), and love all around. See it all from Concept Photography and Senderey in The Vault!

MustWatch_swash-01

From The Bride…It wasn’t long after Alec proposed that I uttered the three little words I never thought I would hear myself say, “Let’s just elope!” After Alec swept me off my feet on a wintery New Year’s Eve in New York City, I wasn’t visualizing a white dress or diamond rings or centerpieces, but all the stuff that comes after. A life together. A home we could share. A Sunday where we didn’t have to say goodbye. You see, Alec and I had spent most of our relationship in separate cities, racking up Amtrak points and frequent flyer miles. So when the day finally came when Alec would be relocating from New York City to Boston, I was quick to pull out the elopement card.

It was Alec who convinced me otherwise. He suggested that we throw tradition to the wind and make our wedding whatever we wanted it to be. On Alec’s wish list? A big party and great music. For me it was simple: the beach. Call me romantic, but the image of sea and sand and wind in my hair while I married the love of my life was everything I had dreamed of and more. So we settled on The Palms Hotel in Spa in Miami Beach Florida, a boutique beachside resort that provided the perfect backdrop for our wedding weekend. The laid back, tropical vibe of the hotel and grounds really set the tone for the entire weekend: a steel drummer welcoming guests to the rehearsal dinner, a beachside yoga class led by makeup artist Lynne Avallone, plenty of time lounging on an endless stretch of white sand with friends and family. No stress and “good vibes only.” A mantra that would come to define the weekend.

We were blessed to work with the very best vendor team. Our party planners, Chiara Clark and Holly Wamser, flawlessly executed our vision and made the planning process a breeze. Our photographers, Sara and Jason Martin of Concept Photography, BLEW US AWAY with their stunning photos. Our videographer, Senderey Video Productions, found a way to capture all of the emotion and beauty of an entire night into a 2-minute highlight reel. But it’s worth highlighting two of my most favorite people: makeup artist, Lynne Avallone and hair stylist, Kristine Collins. I’ve known Lynne and Kristine for many years, and have recommended them to just about every bride in Boston I can get my hands on. Not only is their talent unparalleled, but they are EXACTLY the kind of people you want by your side as you prep for the biggest moment of your life. They have that unique ability to make you feel like the very best version of yourself. The yoga class that Lynne graciously offered to lead was the perfect start to the day. I felt so blessed that they made the trip from Boston to Miami for the weekend.

As I reflect back on the wedding and all of these beautiful memories we now have, I know that Alec was right all along. A wedding is not about pomp and circumstance. It’s a story you get to choose for yourself. I’m so happy we chose ours.

Style Meets Southern Charm for this Fashion + Floral Filled Bridal Shoot

My adoration for bridal shoots grows deeper by the day. Latest case in point: this gem by Julie Paisley. With Glen Leven Farm as a backdrop, our Southern belle preps for her big day with not one, but two gorgeous gowns, and a bouquet that makes me weep tears of joy. I could ramble on and on about these pics but let’s save you the time and just hop on over to our Vault for it all – you can thank me later.

From Julie Paisley… Bridal shoots are big in the south. It’s a tradition for the bride to get completely ready for portraits just of her before the big day. We styled this bridal shoot and pulled inspiration from the historic Glen Leven Farm. It’s a pre-Civil War antebellum home complete with peeling wall paper, old floors, exposed brick and period furniture. The bride’s style is classic and Southern so the soft blush and neutral palette really played well with the overall feel of the shoot. We also loved being able to step outside under the old oak trees to capture some images in her reception dress and of course, the vintage car added more character to the shoot. The wedding day is something every bride dreams about since she was a little girl, having a pre-wedding bridal session gives more time for the bride to live out her dream.

A Cozy Inn Wedding That Would Make Any Gilmore Girl Jealous

An sophisticated, cozy chic Inn celebration that would make your favorite sitcom stars jealous (we’re looking at you Rory, Lorelai, Sookie St. James) – check, check, check. With Graham Terhune Photography behind the lens documenting and Inkspot Crow Films recording it all to share, we’ve got Preston + Lydia’s perfect party waiting for you to pin in The Vault! P.S. Find your dream wedding team via here!

[iframe http://player.vimeo.com/video/163738171 600 338]

From The Bride…Preston and I met in Atlanta through mutual friends in 2012, but our relationship began on a lake in the North Georgia mountains in August 2013. Since that time, we have shared countless weekends and memories in the mountains of North Georgia and Western North Carolina with each other and with our closest friends and family.

We got engaged in July 2015 in Asheville, North Carolina and quickly decided that we wanted to get married in the beautiful mountains that mean so much to us. Having visited The Farm at Old Edwards before, we knew it would be the perfect setting for us and that the 150-180 guests we were anticipating would be comfortable with plenty to do and places to explore over the weekend.

The team at Old Edwards guided us throughout the entire process which made all of the small decisions incredibly easy to make, especially since we were determined not to stress over the details. The best advice we have is to work with photographers and videographers whose style aligns with your own. We lovingly refer to Graham and Samantha Terhune (Graham Terhune Photography) and MacKenzie and Philip Henry (Inkspot Crow Films) as our dream team. Looking back at the moments they captured has allowed us to relive so many special moments and to enjoy others that we missed throughout the wedding weekend.

A Checklist for Pulling Off the Prettiest Summer Party Table

Sometimes I just want a simple “buy this, and your party will look like this” solution to planning a big get-together. Well cue the applause because today I got it. The ladies of Beijos Events are serving up the blueprints for the perfect summer tablescape on a lemon infused platter. Grab all the pieces needed to pull off this gorgeous spread plus even more captured by Megan Welker in the VAULT.

 Ceramic Pieces

This collection of ceramics is so classic but there is something about it that’s also so fresh! We love the colors and the mediterranean feel to it, setting the table makes you feel like you are at a villa in Italy! Another plus to this collection is that it can be dressed up or down, it could be used for a casual family dinner or for an amazing dinner party in your own backyard. The colors are amazing and easy to use with items you probably have in your own home and they are timeless.

Lemon Dinner Plate | Lemon Small Platter | Lemon Utensile Holder

Glassware

We are in love with The Little Market’s glassware, especially these floral pieces. The entire collection is amazing, but for this table we used the clear water glass and the blue stemless wine glass. The blue color is so vibrant and adds such a fun pop to your table and the clear is so simple yet really beautiful as a basic to your every day glassware.

The pitcher and glass set is a great addition to your glassware collection. We loved using it on our table but it would also be a great piece to add to your guest room, what guest wouldn’t love this set by their bed side table or in their bathroom to use for water or refreshments, now that’s a good host!

Blue Stemless Wine Glass | Clear Tall Flower Glass | French Blue Bureau Pitcher Glass

Table Linens

For this table we used a basic tablecloth, this neutral color can be used over and over again in your home, and we love doing a tablecloth at an angle to have it be a little different and interesting. Since we went neutral on the tablecloth we had to have some fun with the napkin!! We love us some yellow, and this yellow was just too pretty to not use!

Yellow Napkin | Rectangle Striped Tablecloth

Olive Wood

Everyone should have some pretty olive wood pieces in their home collection, they look amazing standing on their own in your kitchen and they are incredibly useful! We especially love the round olive wood board, it’s just so pretty and can be used in so many ways!

Olive Wood Round Board | Olive Wood Mortar and Pestle

Baskets

These beautiful baskets add so much to your table or really anywhere in your home. You can add anything into them, for our table we added artichokes and lemons, simple as that but makes such a pretty statement. They are great to use on your coffee table or as an accent in your home with something pretty inside, it doesn’t have to be anything extravagant, we got our fillers at the grocery store!

Deep Woven Bowl | Large Woven Bowl with Yellow Dots

Pillows

The Little Market just launched a new line of Otomi pillows this past Monday ad we are so in love with them!! They remind us of vacations to Mexico and we love everything about that! The pillows come in a variety of colors and for this pretty table we had to go with blue and yellow of course! But there are many colors to choose from and are a great addition to your home, we love how fun they are!

Tenango Embroidered Pillow in Blue | Tenango Embroidered Pillow  in Yellow

Tray

This lemon inspired summer backyard dinner table wouldn’t be complete without lemonade!! It just happens to be our favorite summer beverage! We wanted something to cater to our guests and this tray was the perfect fit. It could also be used every day on your coffee table or dinner table with florals or photos to add a layer to your decor.

This Colorful Destination Affair is Everything

After an awesome vaca in Mexico at the age of 25, this beautiful Bride was sure of one thing: saying “I do” seaside in Mexico was the only way to go.  So when the time came to walk down the aisle, she and her sweetie jetted off to Dreams Puerto Aventuras for a drop-dead gorgeous soiree with their nearest and dearest and seriously cute daughter in tow. See every amazing moment captured by Bohemia Photography in THE VAULT.

From Bohemia Photography… We had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Briauna and Travis at the Dreams resort in Puerto Aventuras, Mexico. We didn’t have the opportunity to meet them before the wedding, but as soon as we walked into Briauna’s hotel room, I knew it was going to be a good day. Briauna is one of those people that can light up a room with her positive energy. I can see why she had her own entourage with her while she was getting ready, she was so kind and funny when speaking to her friends and family, and people just gravitate towards her.

I’d like to think all that positive energy was responsible for keeping the rain at bay all day, too! Dark clouds loomed in every direction, and after living in Mexico for over three years, I can say it’s a miracle that the sky never rained a drop! The clouds actually created this beautiful glow and dreamy effect on the water, which I was quite happy with. Sometimes sunshine is overrated.

The wedding day was filled with happiness, and their sweet 7-year-old daughter kept everyone laughing all day long. She was a bundle of personality, and definitely gets the award for best first kiss reaction of the year! The night ended with dancing on the beach and surprise fireworks (ok, let’s call it a large sparkler) at the end of the first dance. The day was the perfect dream destination wedding any bride and groom could hope for.

From the Bride… I first went to Mexico for my 25th birthday and fell completely in love. My family teased me often about how obsessed I was. While there my first time, I saw the beautiful weddings taking place at our resort and knew that if Travis and I ever got married I’d want it somewhere I wouldn’t have to think of decorations or the location. I am not the banquet hall type and I don’t like the hassle of planning. I’m such an anti-planner that I wanted it at a place in Mexico that needed nothing but the setting of the beach and me and Travis. It was perfect.

The Groom Built His Bride The Sweetest Wedding Day Surprise!

This groom? He’s setting the bar for husbands everywhere. “As a part of my wedding gift, Kenton surprised me by building the arbor we got married under. He put the whole thing together the morning of our wedding, and is now the entrance to my garden and will forever be a piece in our backyard,” said the bride. See how it all played out in the gallery from Rachel Solomon Photography.

From The Bride…From the moment Kenton & I met, things moved quickly. From falling in love, getting engaged, and planning our wedding, we knew God was directing our paths to become one. Kenton proposed in Paso Robles, CA, and we both loved the idea of getting married in the area.

We knew we wanted our wedding day to feel as private as possible, and reflect our personal style of timeless elegance. After a long day of touring many venues, we stumbled upon HammerSky Vineyards. We made it there just in time to see it before the end of the day. The moment we stepped onto the property, we knew this is where we would get married. The property feels so dreamy and allows for such an intimate setting thanks to the restored farm house onsite, which is where my family and I stayed for the whole wedding weekend.

Our dusty blue décor and personalized items were the perfect compliment to our dream vineyard setting. We designed our monogram to be wax sealed into our invitations. The monogram was also stitched into our table runners.

It was important to us that we tie in special family elements. Kenton’s mom handmade each one of our wedding favors, which was Kenton’s childhood favorite dessert and was eaten up by guests before dinner was even served! Lastly, as a part of my wedding gift, Kenton surprised me by building the arbor we got married under. He put the whole thing together the morning of our wedding, and is now the entrance to my garden and will forever be a piece in our backyard. It was such a meaningful gift to me that made our ceremony even more special.

Everything about our wedding went seamlessly. The whole day felt like magic. The property truly made the setting and gave our guests and us the dream-like experience we wanted. We couldn’t be more thankful!

This might seem basic, but before you commit to an entire wedding day of walking in your heels, don’t forget to break them in.
