Earthy Elegance at Atlanta’s Historic Swan House With Rose Pink & Sage Green Hues

[field title=”Wedding Colors”]When it came to a color palette, I kept it simple by just starting with our favorite colors –
rose pink and sage green. I didn’t want to shy away from color and made it a point to
steer away from neutrals, especially in the flowers. I started loving seeing hints of purple
in florals, and wanted to have small pops of color throughout my bouquet and throughout the ballroom. The color palette slowly evolved to include some red and orange, as we leaned into color and the September timing of our day. Again, I wanted the whole day to feel like guests were surrounded with romance and elegance, and I think the colors we chose really helped bring that to life.[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]From the beginning, my vision was “fairytale” with a hint of “garden party”. That
really came to life as I started going through Pinterest and thinking tangibly about our
day with the Swan House as the backdrop. I quickly realized that I didn’t want to have
extravagant decorations, because I wanted the natural beauty of the venue to be the
focal point. That meant intentional floral arrangements and lots of draping greenery.[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]We met in August of 2016, during the start of our freshman year at Georgia Tech. We
actually both lived in the same hall of our dorm, so the first time we ever saw each other
was during our first dorm meeting. We spent that fall in classes together, going to
sorority/fraternity parties, and quickly realizing that we were pretty obsessed with each
other. We made it official in spring of 2017 and have been inseparable ever since. We
both graduated in winter of 2020, and spent the following summer roadtripping across
the US. At the end of our road trip, Ian proposed in Cloudland Canyon, GA! A few
months later, we moved to Seattle, WA, and began planning our wedding. We’ve lived
here for three years now!
Georgia Tech and Atlanta in general were definitely a big part of our story that we really
wanted to be reflected in our wedding day. Actually, one of the first vendors we booked
was the Ramblin’ Reck (one of Georgia Tech’s mascots) as our getaway car. I vividly
remember going to football games during our freshman year and singing the Georgia
Tech fight song by Ian’s side. Those were some of the first moments I really started to
fall in love with him. So it felt right to ride away from our wedding in the best car in the
world, the Reck, with our closest friends singing “I’m a ramblin’ reck from Georgia Tech”
as we rode off.[/field]

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]I bought my dress at the Sentimentalist in Atlanta. I had always envisioned a ball gown,
and that’s exactly what I chose! The dress (designed by Rebecca Schoneveld) had a
stunning pattern of flowers, and I worked with the stylist at the Sentimentalist to design
custom sleeves (which I drew inspiration for from Belle’s dress in Beauty and the Beast).
I didn’t do a second gown for the reception because I was too obsessed with the gown![/field]
[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]The bridesmaids wore one of our favorite colors, sage green. It was our way of bringing that part of the color palette to the forefront of the design of the day. My sisters were my maids of honor and they wore sage dresses with a light blue floral design.[/field]

[field title=”Food & Drink”]We served an amazing spread of Hors d’oeuvres which included cumin coriander chicken kabobs, lobster arancini, smoked salmon fried potato chip, and a squash and cream phyllo tart. For dinner, we decided on three stations; seafood, pasta, and a potato bar. [/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]Our florist, Bantam and Bloom, knocked it out of the park. She brought my vision to life
in the most unique way. My favorite arrangement that she put together was the meadow of flowers placed at the front of our sweetheart table during the reception. It looked so naturally done and made the ballroom look so stunning.

I think my favorite crafted detail were the bouquets. The first time that I cried the entire
day was seeing mine and the bridesmaid’s bouquets when we arrived at the venue. I
put a lot of trust into the florist and wasn’t too particular about the exact flowers or colors that she used and more so, with the help of my planner, gave her a sense of my
inspiration. The arrangements that she so carefully created for the day were better than
anything that I could’ve imagined, and genuinely took my breath away all day.[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]Our cake was a classic, three tiered cake with white frosting. We had so much fun
choosing flavors with my mother in law during the tasting! We ended up with layers of
amaretto white chocolate raspberry and black tie (a chocolate flavor picked especially for the groom).
We didn’t have favors, but did have late night snacks with a personal flair! At those
Georgia Tech football games I mentioned, Ian and I always shared a chick fil a chicken
sandwich at halftime (a very important tradition). So for a snack, we had our caterer
make the yummiest chick fil a like chicken biscuits, each with a Georgia Tech flag
sticking out of it. This was a big hit with the guests.[/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”][/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]One of my favorite decisions that we made for the wedding was to have my
grandmothers be the “flower girls”. I wanted them to have a significant role in the day,
as they have been so influential in my life. They both looked stunning walking down the
aisle, and I loved hearing the guests laugh as one of my grandmothers threw flower
petals right on the guests.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]For the Swifties out there – I had to incorporate at least some aspects of my love for
Taylor Swift into our day. Our seating chart, adorned with a stunning base of flowers,
said “and at every table, we’ll save you a seat”, which is a quote from one of my favorites
of Taylors songs. I loved the way the sun hit it as it welcomed guests into the reception. I
also walked down the aisle to an instrumental version of “Love Story”, and our last song
of the night was a remix of “Love Story”. That song felt like the perfect book-end to our
day, for obvious reasons.[/field]

English Garden Wedding Complete With Tea Cups & Eras Tour Inspired Boots

[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]Our dream wedding design was a classic, airy, summer English garden that was wistfully misplaced on the Charleston coast. My vision for our wedding was to highlight the natural beauty of our venue featuring the colors of golden hour. I envisioned our florals to be at the forefront of our design, while seamlessly blending into the surroundings, as if the floral cross and our tented place setting just happened to be a part of nature as it was. From the rich greenery to the blush petals mimicking the sunset to the rich navy of my bridesmaids gowns paying homage to the water, each choice was made to organically highlight the beauty of our surroundings and the hearts of those in attendance.[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]Having met seven years ago in the beautiful coastal town of Charleston, Zach and I were no strangers to walks on the beach. Whether it was to celebrate an anniversary or to simply celebrate the gift it is to live where we do, Zach and I would take our girl, Sadie the lab, for walks along the coast and dinner at our favorite sushi spots, cautiously optimistically talking about the future. After almost five years together, Zach made the selfless choice to leave our beloved city to follow me to graduate school in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. There, our little family grew, with the addition of Ashe the husky, and we felt more and more confident in our love, confidence, and commitment to each other. On May 11, 2023, during a vacation back home to Pawleys Island on the South Carolina coast, Zach surprised me more than I ever have been and proposed with his grandmother’s ring on the most special walk on the beach, with the dogs of course, we’ve ever taken. We celebrated with families and closest friends at my parents house, followed by our happiest sushi date yet.[/field]

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]Growing up in New Jersey, my mom, siblings, and I spent many afternoons admiring the stunning gowns shown on Say Yes to the Dress at Kleinfelds, only an hour and half away in New York City. When it was finally my older sister and maid of honor Katie’s turn to find her dream dress we knew there was only place to go. Katie found her stunning lace ballgown at Kleinfeld and as I watched my beautiful sister turn into the princess I always knew she was, I silently hoped that one day I would get my own moment to spin around in my best dress (fearless!) in the stunning Kleinfeld salon. After my beachside proposal soon enough it was time to jump in the car and venture up to New York. I saw Anne Barge’s Dream Weaver online and knew it was high on my list to try on. I had always worn fitted gowns, but once you try on a ballgown you NEVER go back! The stunning beaded jacquard fabric, classic yet updated cut, and elegant design swept me away immediately. Dream Weaver is timeless, with a touch of glistening floral detail, and resonated so deeply with how I envisioned myself on my wedding day. Paired with a cathedral veil with beaded magnolias on the train, Dream Weaver made me feel the most beautiful I ever have, from the inside out.
My exit dress let me live out my Eras Tour dreams. My mom found the perfect bejeweled boots at Dillard’s around Christmas 2023, and my dad exclaimed “Where would you ever wear those?”. One of the most amazing parts of marriage is how the confidence you feel in your relationship inherently turns into confidence you feel about yourself. To end our reception, I strutted out feeling fully fearless (and very much like I was the man), celebrating every part of myself and the incredible love story I found.[/field]
[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]The women who made up my bridal party are some of the most important people in my life. While we were celebrating my unconditional love with Zach on June 15th, I saw this as a chance to honor the women who showed me that love first. My goal was that each of every one of these women felt confident and beautiful just as they are. The classic, beautiful, and effortlessly southern look of navy gowns in summer complimented and enhanced the inner beauty of my most important ladies, while seamlessly blending with the natural surroundings along the Ashley River at Lowndes Grove.
Something blue: The tried and true tradition of something blue came to me in a unique way while wedding planning. I feel extraordinarily grateful to have the friendships I made with my bridesmaids literally spanning decades. My something blue was my chance to highlight a possibly unexpected, but deeply magical friendship that came into my life more recently. Tori, my dear friend and wife of the Best Man, started as the name of a girl Brana, met at work who quickly captured all of our hearts. The person who once started as my something new, grew to become a part of my heart I never knew was missing. As breathlessly beautiful as the light blue she wore, Tori, my something blue, will be a part of my life, always.[/field]
[field title=”Groomsman Attire”]Very similarly to the bridesmaids, Zach’s groomsman are some of the most important men in his life. Zach chose Men’s Warehouse for his attire to ensure that all of his guys could have access to chic, modern suits wherever they were. Zach’s tux was a classic black and white look, paired with a bow tie and black and gold accessories. Zach wore his best watch, passed down from his dad as his own something borrowed.[/field]

We wanted our options to be accessible for everyone we love and a good balance between fun and unique hors d’oeuvres at cocktail hour and filling satisfying dinner stations. The choice of stations allowed us to create an open atmosphere for organic conversation and connections while our guests enjoyed the entirety of the grounds at Lowndes Grove.

Buffalo Chicken Wings tossed in Duff’s Hot Sauce. Duff’s is a local chicken wing spot in upstate New York and is home to me and my family’s altime favorite wings. We saw that PPG offered wings and requested to have them tossed in Duff’s sauce to give our guests an authentic Buffalo experience. Upstate New York is not always considered the most glamorous place, but it’s home to the people that love me and Zach fiercely and unconditionally. Growing up I made a promise to myself that I would only take one man up to Buffalo and it would be the person that I was going to marry. Zach made his first trip up to Buffalo in 2021 and attended his first Buffalo Bills game in 2022 and enjoyed his favorite chicken wing at our wedding in 2024.[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]We knew we wanted the flowers and natural beauty of our venues to be the focus of our design. I found Festoon’s portfolio online several years ago and knew instantly that Whitney and her team would be the ones to make our summer garden dream a reality! Our place setting was also a chance for us to incorporate our own style, with a stunning pink scalloped charger and gold utensils. The white linens on the main tables were intentionally chosen to match and compliment the beaded flowers found on my gown. From the bright patterned cocktail table linens by the dock to the pastel blue candles by our setting, each detail was chosen to cohesively create the bright, light, and airy feel that radiated through the whole weekend.[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]Our cake flavors were Italian Cream with Chocolate Ganache and the Chocolate Kahlua with Vanilla buttercream (who doesn’t coffee and cake together?). I wanted to feature more of our stunning flowers placed organically on and around our cake. Our sweet girls of course made their appearance as well, taking a bite of the side and stealing the show as our take on a cake topper. The piped icing was also designed to match the magnolia pattern on my dress and veil.[/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]My grandparents walked down the aisle to Moon River, which is their wedding song played 62 years ago at their wedding ceremony. During our ceremony, we lit the same unity candle that was lit at both my parents wedding and my sister and brother-in-law’s wedding, representing our two lives and families coming together as one. The blessing of hands was one of my favorite parts of the ceremony, as it is our hands that show love and fulfill the acts and promises we both made.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]#1: Ever since I was young I always knew I wanted to incorporate my mother’s floral teacups that were passed down to her by her own grandmother. I always heard stories of the beautiful woman that Jennie Cupole was, and felt so strongly that a part of her was captured so well in her beloved teacups. As part of our guest seating display, her teacups were featured and delicately placed among blooms and greenery. This stunning piece was the perfect way to honor a woman who meant so much to my mother and grandmother and flawlessly tie in the cornerstone of our design inspiration. Highlighting my own grandparents was important to me as well. The perfume I wore, Petals by Lili Bermuda, is a signature fragrance from my grandmother’s dear friend’s local perfumery in Bermuda. Her and my grandfather spent many years vacationing in the beautiful parish of Hamilton, and when it was time to pick the perfume I would wear on my wedding day, Petals was the perfect choice.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]When it came time to select our ceremony music, I knew even from years ago that I wanted to ask our dear family friend and my lifelong harp teacher, Elaine, to perform. I always imagined the woman who means so much to me playing the classic wedding piece, Pachelbel’s Canon in D Major, as I walked down the aisle. Elaine has supported me and watched me grow both as a musician and a person through some of the most important moments of my adult life. She performed on my Lyon & Healy Style 100 harp and helped to create the sacred and absolutely magical atmosphere at our ceremony.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]#3: It wouldn’t be our wedding day if our girls, Sadie and Ashe, weren’t a part of it. Co-parenting our dogs has been an incredibly important part of growing the responsibility, trust, and confidence in our relationship. They were well featured in details throughout our day, including making a special appearance for pictures before our first touch as our signature drinks.[/field]

A Picturesque White Barn Wedding in Autumn at River Bottoms Ranch

The setting at River Bottoms Ranch for a fall wedding is picturesque with the backdrop of Mt. Timpanogos. The white barn venue adds a rustic charm that complements the elegance of the occasion. The couple’s priorities truly shone through—celebrating love amidst close friends and family in such a breathtaking location. The priorities were good food, dancing, live music, and traditional ceremonies. The luxurious and grand flowers in dusty blue, blush, and white added a touch of sophistication and beauty to the setting. The photos with the horses on the property were a beautiful and unique addition to capture the essence of the ranch. The special first look on the RBR white bridge was a magical moment that brought both the bride and groom to happy tears.

[field title=”Proposal Story”]Andrew’s proposal to Emily was straight out of a romantic adventure. As a pilot, he orchestrated a truly unforgettable moment. Picture this: soaring through the skies, Andrew piloting the aircraft with Emily by his side, flying around River Bottoms Ranch. As they looked down upon the picturesque landscape, Andrew seized the perfect moment to pop the question, creating an indelible memory against the backdrop of the ranch where they would later celebrate their union.

The breathtaking aerial view added a sense of magic to the proposal, with the ranch spread out below, setting the stage for their future together. It’s incredibly romantic that they gazed down, envisioning their wedding day at the very place they were flying over.

What makes this even more special is how they incorporated Andrew’s log book from that proposal flight as their guest book for their wedding. Each signature and message would hold a piece of their love story, tying together their engagement and wedding day in a unique and meaningful way. It’s a testament to their journey together and the adventures that await as they continue their life as a couple.[/field]

Emily’s wedding dress was from Alta Moda. The moment that Emily put on the dress it was a YES! It embraced timeless sophistication with a touch of modern flair, reflecting Emily’s personality. During the dance party, Emily put on her party dress that sparkled and shined. This second dress added a touch of glamour and fun. The contrast between the wedding gown and the party dress probably mirrored the transition from the formal ceremony to the lively festivities of the reception, showcasing different facets of Emily’s style and personality throughout her special day. The groom painted the signature drinks on the bar sign. He is a talented artist and it was a nice touch to incorporate his talent. Culinary Crafts seems to have truly elevated the culinary experience at the wedding. From delectable hors d’oeuvres to a beautifully plated dinner, they ensured that every bite was a delight. And serving homemade gelato from an adorable cart was a delicious treat, adding a touch of whimsy to the dining experience. The homemade German pretzels for the late-night snack sound like a brilliant idea! Not only did they serve as a delicious indulgence for guests at the end of the celebration, but they also held significant meaning by honoring the bride’s father’s German heritage. It’s a beautiful way to weave in family traditions and pay homage to their roots while delighting everyone’s taste buds. It seems like every aspect of the culinary experience was thoughtfully curated, not just to satisfy appetites but to add meaningful touches that resonated with the couple’s story and their families’ backgrounds. The combination of delicious food, personal touches, and cultural nods made the wedding a truly memorable and heartwarming event.

The pictures show the magic! The florist Bushel & A Peck created a jaw-dropping ceremony arch and perfectly arranged centerpieces. The Delphiniums and Dahlia’s were the stars of the show. The luxurious and grand flowers added a touch of sophistication and beauty to the setting. The choice of colors created a soft and romantic ambiance that suited the fall season perfectly. The flowers perfectly completed the romantic setting.

[field title=”Wedding Cake”]The 3-tiered wedding cake was custom-made with sugar flowers. The bride wanted to combine pearls and florals into one design. The pearls represented her grandmothers pearls that she wore and the sugar flowers were the same flowers that were used for the wedding. [/field]

The bride’s mother composed a special song that the bride & wedding party walked down the aisle to. This was a gift from the mother of the bride to the bride & groom. It was queued perfectly for the doors to open for the bride and her father to walk down the aisle. This moment brought goosebumps to all of the guests.

Emily + Andrew had a magical experience with the horses on the RBR property where they got to be up close. These picturesque horses were the perfect touch on this beautiful fall day. The mountains were covered in vibrant fall foliage. It was a unique addition to capturing the essence of the ranch for a mountain destination wedding in Park City, UT.

The couple wanted a classy and elegant aesthetic. With tulips being the bride’s mother’s favorite flower, they wished to incorporate them in a purposeful way. To match the vibe, they included greenery seamlessly matching the overall aesthetic at Harry’s Restaurant to match the ambiance and atmosphere. Also important to Maya was the unique floral seating chart, which she had seen similar representations of before but was determined to perfect it- and they certainly did!

A Timeless Wedding Blooming With Elegance at the Arlo in Austin

They incorporated muted spring colors into their summer wedding in Austin, TX. Their color palette consisted of soft blushes, creams, whites, and neutral tans and beiges. From letter pressed ceremony programs to the delicate bows on each menu card, every detail was accounted for.

[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]Upon guest arrival, they were greeted with a chilled glass of champagne and a string trio playing soft romantic songs. Guests entered the ceremony through large trees onto an acrylic aisle with the view of a ceremony platform and draping – the room was grand.
Guests walked down a gorgeous staircase to an outdoor cocktail hour. Passed cocktails and appetizers were there for guests to enjoy.

Emma & Matt knew that their guests’ first impression of the wedding weekend would be the moment they opened up their invitation. They wanted guests to open this and it would feel elegant, classy, and formal. Emma had all invitation suites letterpressed, with neutral colors and a monogram that we incorporated not only in the invitation suite, but also throughout the wedding design.

[field title=”Proposal Story”]The proposal took place at a secret theater in East Austin. Matt took Emma there and had the space prepared with her favorite champagne and a photographer to capture the moment. He then told her that they were going to dinner at The Peacock which is one of her favorite restaurants. When they arrived, they were escorted upstairs to a private room where both of their entire families were waiting – who had flown across the country. Emma said that it was a complete surprise and the best day![/field]

SoHo Catering & Consulting executed a plated dinner service, which included a delicious filet mignon or a pistachio and herb crusted salmon. For dessert, they offered a variety of small bites including mini lemon bars, cream puffs, and mini creme brûlées. There was lots of variety for everyone![/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]When it came to the wedding day and the design, Emma and Matt knew they didn’t want anything to be too cookie cutter. Emma loved the ideas of neutrals, but was open to her planners creative ideas and suggestions. One idea they made was incorporating a white patterned linen to elevate the tables. Instead of doing it for the table linens, they had custom napkins made from BBJ and kept that pattern consistent by having that pattern on the cocktail table linens.
The overall place setting was delicate and romantic. They had a full place setting when guests found their seat. Even with a plated meal, they wanted guests to take their seats and it feel grand. All menu cards were letter pressed with a romantic satin bow hand tied around each.
The next area that was something they knew would elevate their ceremony & reception was rented chairs. Emma and Matt knew they wanted something grand, that could be a statement to both spaces.
Wedding days are an experience from the minute a guest steps off the bus, to the last moments leaving the venue. Emma and Matt wanted their guests to have different experiences throughout the evening. One part of the reception they were most excited about was the martini room. The venue had a back room that they wanted to utilize, but were unsure how. During the design part of planning, we landed on a martini room. Green velvet draping, swanky lounge furniture, and a bar menu that only included martinis did just the trick.
Emma and Matt also had decided early on in the planning process that a band was a nonnegotiable. We decided to showcase The Nightowls, their wedding band, on a grand stage with a custom acrylic dance floor where we incorporated the custom monogram. Hung above the guests was luscious greenery to warm up the ballroom. The dance floor was packed the entire evening, where Emma was able to showcase her gorgeous second dress, and make her way to the martini room a handful of times. [/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]The wedding cake moment was simple, but elegant. Surrounded by lush floral, the cake moment was jaw dropping for everyone. [/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]One of the couples favorite parts of the wedding day was doing a first look with private vows before the ceremony. This moment was special since they did this inside the ceremony space, where they would be just an hour later with all their friends and family. [/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]One moment that Emma & Matt were extremely excited to see come to life was the martini room. Later in the evening, once the band had kicked off and dinner was finished, we had a separate room in the venue open up which was a martini room. From the dark green moody velvet draping, to the dark tone rentals, we really created a space that had that speak easy vibe. Emma and Matt offered additional desserts in this room, as well as a limited selection of martinis for their guests to order from. The bride also kicked off this time in the evening with a dress change as well! [/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]The bride and groom knew they always wanted to have their ceremony inside, but knew they wanted to transform the venue to not feel like a traditional wedding venue. From the acrylic white aisle and stage, to the custom trees the floral team built on site, the venue was transformed into a whimsical space for a June wedding in Texas. [/field]

A Mountain Chic Summer Wedding With a Citrus Palette in Lake Tahoe

It was just the two of them and they spent the weekend celebrating privately together before Austin surprised Kirsten with a party back in New York with all their friends and family![/field]

Plated three course dinner, salads, custom menus for selected entree choice (filet, salmon, or stuffed mushroom) with wedding cake- flavors were funfetti with mocha-khalua icing, vanilla with lemon cream, and carrot cake.

Espresso martini shooters passed around with dessert! Late night bites and dessert stations of breakfast burritos, sliders and tots, brownies, cookies, cheesecake bites.

Several passed apps during cocktail hour (crab cakes, bruschetta, smoked potato croquette, chicken skewers)[/field]

Greenery hung throughout the clear tent which was able to highlight the beautiful mountain setting surrounding the wedding and the light up trees of the resort. Mix of long and round tables with a mix of linens / style of flower arrangements for an interesting look.

The dinner featured a 4 course meal with multiple pastas, and the traditional millefoglie for the wedding cake. Guests marveled as they watched the chefs make the cake and then celebrate with the couple. [/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]Winsome Floral curated a full arch for the ceremony in terracotta, peach, and white tones to compliment the villa and property of Borgo Stomennano. One long serpentine table served as the reception setup for all 100 guests in the back garden. Gold chargers, pale green linens, custom menus, and floral centerpieces lined the table. Chandeliers hung from the trees to create a romantic ambience. [/field]

A Lush Garden Fete at Home That Brings Back Grandmillenial Style Done Right

When guests entered the reception they were greeted by servers in blue aprons holding moss trays with margaritas in custom mini parton bottles!

[field title=”Food & Drink”]Good food was one of the most important things to the Bride and her family! Jennie Weller Catering and Events truly rose to the occasion and gave Heidi the wedding feast of her dreams!
They had several chef attended stations:
Clothespin Taco Station-they make tacos and hang them on a clothesline with a clothespin…it is SO fun! Quesadilla Station-made to order/fresh for guests.
Rolled Sushi Bar & Raw Bar featuring Raw and Grilled Oysters. Lastly, an Ice Cream Cart to accompany cake.
They also had an elaborate grazing table filled with some of their favorite offerings from JWCE:
Pretzel Bites & Beer Cheese, Beef Tenderloin Sliders, Crudite Cups, Fried Okra, Cheese Displays, and Caesar Salad.

Their signature drink was a nod to the place where they had their first date- El Rey! It is a local burrito lounge known for its margaritas. And aptly named ‘you and tequila’ after Austin’s favorite musician, Kenny Chesney.

To end the night, they passed French Fries on the dance floor!

This lovely garden fete was filled with whimsical arrangements of cherry blossom, tulips, ranunculus, and blush hydrangeas.
Heidi’s favorite flowers are tulips so to make an impact, Southern Posies designed a tulip floral ring with hundreds of tulips, wired individually by hand, suspended over the dance floor to create a magical garden feel.

Heidi and Austin had a custom monogram and invitation suite by Weezie B and Sally C Designs to set the tone for their sweet garden party!
Their custom monogram was added to acrylic cups by Swag Store, bar signage, and custom vinyl dance floor wrap by Southern Event Wraps.[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]Heidi and Austins wedding cake was a stunning 5 tiered cake with white icing and intricate piping on each layer. This cake was one of Cake Design’s last cakes as they decided to retire earlier in the year. Cake Designs has been the bride’s family’s go-to for cakes through the years (doing all of her birthday cakes!) so the couple decided to have a different flavor for each layer so guests could have a little taste of one of the most loved bakers in the River Region.
The flavors were: Chocolate, Red Velvet, Italian Cream, and Wedding Cake.
They, of course, saved their top layer in true Southern fashion to eat on their one-year wedding anniversary![/field]

[field title=”Special Detail #1″]This wedding marked the third and final wedding for this family. Southern Posies has planned and flowered all three of the Gilmore Girls wedding! And at every sister’s wedding, they wanted a head table to be able to share their first married meal with their family!
The head table had place settings set with Heidi’s mother’s china! Southern Posies also sourced place mats from Mrs. Alice that donned the table and were christened with a family meal before going to Austin and Heidi’s new home together! [/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]Heidi surprised her groom with his favorite dessert- hummingbird cake! This was displayed on a family bass fishing canoe to tie Austin’s love of this cake and fishing together! [/field]

A Napa Vineyard Soiree at the Bride’s Family Residence

When planning the wedding, Sophia really wanted the guests to experience the feeling and vibe of the many family-style dinners her family has shared at the Favia property. In terms of design, Sophia loved the idea of a dining al fresco vineyard dinner party, and wanted to compliment the natural beauty of the vineyard and family home. To enhance that experience, we brought in California favorites like Hog Island Oysters, a violin trio, and handmade watercolor paper goods (made by her cousin!) throughout the day.

Niall proposed at my families house in Sonoma – which was the coincidentally the first place he met them over 2 years before. Guests enjoyed a family-style meal of local and fresh ingredients, including Argentine style steak, a nod to the Favia Family’s move abroad to Argentina in the 2000’s.[/field]

The floral arrangements by Monkey Flower Group were nothing short of breathtaking. Drawing inspiration from the natural beauty of the property, the team created stunning petite bouquets and simple and chic centerpieces to compliment the dining al fresco feel. Sophia’s aunt (and property owner) spent months preparing the ceremony field florals and surrounding landscaping.

[field title=”Special Detail #2″]For all of her table numbers, Sophia and Niall picked some of their favorite things like meyer lemons, oysters, The Oregon ducks, their family crest and more. Sophia’s cousin and talented artist Josie made the water color pieces on the morning of the wedding while all of the girls got ready and sipped champagne.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]Sophia is incredibly close with her family, and she really wanted to do a special first look with her two younger brothers and dad. It was an emotional moment, and the photos of Sophia’s mom looking on are so sweet. [/field]

When Modern Style Meets Rustic Elegance in Tuscany, Italy

Aryanna and Mitch wanted their wedding to be a charming blend of rustic yet modern Tuscan elegance. We wanted our guests to feel like they were walking into a Pinterest board. A beautiful Italian countryside setting with rolling hills, vineyards, and rustic stone buildings. The decor had rich greenery and abundant floral arrangements as well as elegant touches like vintage chandeliers. The atmosphere was both sophisticated and inviting, creating the perfect setting for an intimate and joyful celebration.

Aryanna and Mitch traveled to Hawaii for a special family reunion with Mitch’s family, who were flying in from Australia. This trip held even more significance as it would be Aryanna’s first time meeting Mitch’s mom. On April 5th, they welcomed Shirley, Kim, and Brett at the airport and returned to their Airbnb. The evening was set for a delightful surf and turf dinner. While Mitch and Brett took charge of the cooking, Aryanna, Kim, and Shirley relaxed on the balcony, sipping white wine as the sun began to set. As the wine dwindled, they only had a bottle of champagne left, initially reserved for Mitch’s birthday the next day. However, in the spirit of a family reunion, Mitch decided to open it that night. He brought out flutes and popped the bottle, intending to celebrate the long-awaited family gathering. Unbeknownst to Aryanna, a life-changing moment was about to happen. Mitch poured the champagne and proposed a toast. Standing beside Aryanna but out of her line of sight, he waited for the perfect moment. Suddenly, she heard a collective gasp. Turning to her right, she found Mitch on one knee with a ring box on the table. Stunned, Aryanna barely processed what was happening but managed to say yes through her overwhelming emotions. Despite being in her pajamas with wet hair, she cherished the spontaneous and heartfelt proposal, knowing it was a moment they would never forget, even without photos to capture it.

She knew she wanted a floral print and she knew she wanted every girl to be able to pick the gown they liked most. after searching high and low for months, she finally found V. Chapman and fell in love with the designer’s Carmel Valley Rose print.

Mitch wanted his groomsmen to be comfortable and most of all, be able to use their suits in the future. He took all of the guys to Indochino to get custom suits in the color Sand. Mitch is a big foodie, so he wanted the food and drinks to be perfect! For the welcome party, we had a pizza cart and prosecco/Aperol sprits/beer cart provided by Brindapino. For cocktail hour, we had prosecco and Aperol spritz as well as h’orderves such as Caprese skewers, parmesan cheese wheel, olives, goat cheese wrapped in prosciutto, and fried zucchini flowers stuffed with mozzarella cheese. (Provided by Delizia Ricevimenti Firenze) At dinner after the ceremony, we served red wine, white wine, prosecco, and beer. We had a 4-course dinner that included an open tortello with duck ragu, gigli cacio e pepe, a choice of beef tenderloin in a chianti classico sauce with roasted potatoes or baby piglet on a celeriac puree and a florentine salad, and lastly dessert which consisted of wedding cake, mini panna cotta with raspberry sauce, mini millefoglie with fresh berries, mini tiramisú, and profiterole filled with chantilly cream. We hired Parade Weddings to assist with all of our decorations. Our venue was Borgo di Pietrafitta Relais. For our welcome party decor and florals, we wanted a traditional Italian look – checkered tablecloths, aromatic plants in terracotta pots, and fresh tomatoes. We also requested that all guest wear white, while the bride and groom wore a soft coral color. At our ceremony and dinner, we wanted a soft romantic feel that included soft pastel florals such as delphinium, various types of roses, among others, and some greenery. During the ceremony, we chose to set up seating runway style (an ode to Aryanna’s fashion background) and set floor flower arrangements along both sides of the aisle. As a backdrop at the altar, we had a semi-circle floral arrangement on the floor. At dinner, we decorated our U-shape table layout with similar florals, pastel candles, and tea lights. We chose to go with rustic wooden tables and chairs so our selection of white and gold plates and cutlery would stand out. The mood was set by elegant crystal chandeliers that hung above the tables. At our poolside brunch, we wanted fresh, Amalfi-inspired decor – including aromatic plants, white cosmos, Craspedia, and fresh lemons. Pastel Blooms and an Emphasis on Fun at the Gasparilla Inn & Club

The wedding colors were pink, coral, orange and green with accents of yellow and ocean blue. We really wanted to capitalize on the couples style: classic, bright, and tropical.

[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]”Alongside the couples pastel-like personalities, the goal was for the wedding to reflect the fun that their relationship is built on. They love to dance and be taken away by the connection and conversation that they share with their loved ones. Michael is also known to be “”the life of the party”” and you can occasionally find him breaking out the worm (a crowd favorite!).

From the “”Our Favorite People”” seating chart to the fun patterned dancefloor, Pop Parties designed and curated a day that captured this fun loving couple and the people that surround them. The Hit Factory Band then blew it away on stage and even surprised the crowd by inviting Michael and his two best friends on stage to perform their karaoke staple: “”Friends in Low Places” by Garth Brooks. The last song of the night was “”Empire State of Mind”” by Jay-Z, an ode to the couple’s proposal. “[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]”The proposal took place in one of Elizabeth and Michael’s favorite cities to visit: New York City. They were having the perfect City day – exploring without time constraint (or so Elizabeth thought!) – with afternoon of shopping in SOHO, brunch at Sadelles (a favorite of the two) and a stroll around Central Park.

Michael guided Elizabeth to the little reflection pond, where they used to frequent and take naps on the bench nearby. While they approached the bench Michael had flowers set, alongside a copy of The New York times (including the date) and champagne as he knelt to one knee. It was to total surprise.

Just out of a movie — a street musician happened to be passing by, playing the guitar and singing “”Perfect”” by Ed Sheeran all in cohesion with the moment. The crowded park cheered seeing the proposal play out!

They ended the night ice skating under the Christmas tree in Rockefeller Plaza, the place Elizabeth’s parents got engaged!”[/field]

As the party kicked off, Elizabeth changed into a punchy pink mini dress by Rebecca Vallance with rhinestone bow accents. This perfectly tied in with all the fun pink accents in the decor.

The mother of the Bride and personal stylist, Cynthia Kelley, assisted Elizabeth, the bridesmaids, and even a few guests with styling tips and tricks!”
From the bride: “Amsale is my wedding dress brand, and the pink dress was Rebecca Vallance, what are swagged sleeves lol, maybe draped sleeves- could tie in my fav color is pink which was featured on dance floor etc and ended the night in the same punchy pink for my second dress”[/field]

Dinner brought a refreshing flavor and color to each guest with a delicious watermelon and feta salad, a seared filet with truffle whipped potatoes, and rock shrimp with corn salad.[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]Florals by Botanica were the colorful star of the show with a mix of ranunculus, garden roses, delphinium and the Bride’s favorite- peonies. The colors complimented the patterned napkins and rattan chargers perfectly, along with Katherine Jezeks stationery works of art. From beautiful watercolor menus, to tropical palm bar fronts, there were fun details everywhere guests looked.[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]Colorful pressed florals were delicately placed by the Gasparilla Inn and Club pastry chef for a simple but fun design.[/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]”The ceremony closed down the Historical Banyan Street; enchanted by two rows of 31 banyan trees. While touring Boca Grande, Pop Parties knew this was a no-brainer to bring the couples vision to life.

They were joined by a long time mentor of Michael’s, who officiated the wedding; and Elizabeth’s childhood best friend also sang “”The Blessing”” by Elevation Worship, which moved the entire crowd.”[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]The night before the wedding we had a special room drop for each guest. The Father of the Bride’s favorite chocolate-King Size Cadbury Dairy Milk bars! This was such a sweet and thoughtful thank you from the Bride and Groom to all their guests.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]The Destination. Elizabeth loves the beach, bright colors, and all things sunny (she even walked down the aisle to “Here Comes the Sun” by The Beatles). All this with a dash of southern charm, made Gasparilla the perfect fit for her tropical, tented wedding.[/field]

I knew I wanted it to be absolutely romantic, like an ethereal English country garden. When I collated the inspiration pictures I had collected for months, I could see that they were all very floral-heavy, a very soft colour palette, and that I was really drawn to an aesthetic that had a little bit of an overgrown and rambling look to it. I left it in the hands of our absolutely wonderful wedding planner, Christie from Haus of Hera, and together with our florist, she created something beyond my wildest dreams.

[field title=”Proposal Story”]In 2021, Covid lockdowns were still prevalent in Australia and Jarrad and I were stuck in different states for six months at a time. We had one week to reunite in the middle of the year, so I had booked us an Airbnb on a little island so we could spend some quality time together. Unbeknownst to me, Jarrad had been designing a ring, and he thought he would capitalise on our time together to propose. He asked me to pack something nice, so that we could get a photo together. When I went to see what he had packed, it was his best suit, so I was a little suspicious. I only became more curious when we almost missed the ferry and he got increasingly nervous, but we made it on time, and the rest is history![/field]

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]My wedding dress was something I had thought about for YEARS before Jarrad actually proposed, and I had been saving every photo that took my fancy for some time, but none of them felt like “the one” for me. Like so many girls before me, I loved the timeless beauty of Grace Kelly’s wedding dress, but I thought that the skirt in particular would look too heavy and structured on me, and I wanted the lightness of a lace bodice to continue into the skirt. I also knew that I didn’t want a train, because we would (weather permitting), be outdoors for the whole day, and I wanted something that felt practical enough to actually move around in. I went for a consult at the Leah da Gloria Atelier in Sydney, and she drew up my dream dress on the spot, then patiently went through swatches of lace until we both felt that we had landed on one that would really compliment the design. I was in the best hands with Leah and her team, and the finished product was better than I could have hoped for.[/field]
[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]One of the most important things to me was that my friends felt like a million dollars on the day as well. I had three girls, all with different tastes and body types, so I started the search about 12 months in advance, and almost immediately found these buttery Manning Cartell dresses that I thought would be perfect for all three of them, and they all agreed. I knew that I wouldn’t find anything I loved more, so I ordered them immediately. I still love them just as much as the first time I saw them.[/field]

I knew that Jarrad really wanted something special for our wedding, and so even though we had only every discussed a traditional three course dinner, when I stumbled across the Italian tasting menu from Fennel & Co, I knew it was the perfect fit for us. We did a tasting ahead of the wedding and were absolutely thrilled.[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]Flowers were such a central design element, and we were so lucky to find a florist and wedding planner who were so intent on executing our vision perfectly. Our wedding planner showed me some photos she’d found of reception tables nestled amongst flowers, almost as though they were in the middle of a garden. The way in which our florist brought this to life was one of my favourite things about our day.[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]Choosing a cake was probably one of the hardest elements of wedding planning for us, because neither of us wanted anything with fondant or modelling chocolate. We had seen a few photos of one metre diameter single-layer cakes, and we started thinking that this would be the biggest impact and best tasting option. We only had a guest count of 45, so it really was overkill, but we both loved it for the visual impact, and the leftovers we got to take home.[/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]I walked down the aisle to “Turning Page” by Sleeping at Last, which makes me cry every time I hear it, and seemed fitting considering we had spent the four years prior to our wedding living in different states and managing a long-distance relationship.
I’m a ballet teacher, and I felt a lot of pressure to get our First Dance exactly right. In the end, I let Jarrad choose it from a tutorial website, knowing that he would be far more comfortable that way. We boogied to “Do You Love Me” by The Contours. We had so much fun learning it together, and that is as much of a special memory as performing it on the day. I will say that Jarrad’s version of the routine was highly embellished by the time it got to the big day.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]For the reception and dancing, I changed into a shorter, feathered dress and some bedazzled sneakers. Besides being such a fun outfit, being able to dance properly was really important to me. I’m so glad I was in something so comfortable, as it meant I could really enjoy my night without the distraction of sore feet or the worry of people stepping on my wedding dress.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]As our wedding drew closer, I was so worried about our wedding invitations, because I knew I wanted something custom and illustrated, and finding the perfect fit seemed to be a bit elusive. Our wedding planner put us in touch with Quill Fine Art Creations, and they were a dream from start to finish. Our invitations were one of my favourite little keepsakes from our wedding day, and I loved that from the moment they opened them, our guests got a feel for the day and what to expect.[/field]

[field title=”Proposal Story”]Chris proposed at one of their favorite and most cherished pieces of land on Grand Lake in Oklahoma known as “Paradise Point.” This spot has been in Tabor’s family for years. Generations have made memories on this piece of land! It is where Taber, her mom, her grandmother, and great grandmother all learned to water ski! On August 4th, 2023, Chris had a custom bench, bible, and pictures of their passed loved ones all seated where the water breaks to the rocks. He held Taber’s hand and walked her down to the edge of the water where he sat her down, read pieces of scripture they love, and then asked for her hand in marriage. It was perfect and so “them”! The feeling in that moment was something Taber said she would never forget.[/field]

This bride is deeply passionate about fashion and loves incorporating really cool structures and sculpture like details into everything she wears! Stephane Rolland is a designer that does just that with her wedding gowns! Taber’s gown was a full length white crepe mermaid dress with a boat neck-line, open-back, and sculptural “orchid sleeves” in Gazar. It was the last dress she tried on & was absolutely perfect and everything she dreamed of! [/field]
[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]The bridesmaids look was highly inspired by the mother of the bride’s bridesmaid dresses she picked when she got married in 1995. Taber said she knew she loved the look of a 90’s bridesmaid, but especially loved the classiness of the way her mom’s bridesmaids looked. She, the MOB, had her bridesmaids wear a strapless light blue satin A-line, added a silk scarf around their arms, and finished off the look with satin gloves that matched. When Taber was deciding what her girls would wear, she kept going back to how classy and timeless her mom’s bridesmaids looked & how the look had stood the test of time. With that thought, Taber wanted to honor her mom and recreate the look! With hair slicked back into ballerina buns, light blue satin twill strapless dresses, and short white lace and satin gloves, they were able to do just that. “They looked like Cinderella. The classiest and most beautiful group of girls I am honored to call friends!”, Taber said.[/field]
[field title=”Groomsman Attire”]Sticking with the classiness aspect of the entire wedding attire, Taber knew she wanted the boys in a traditional black and white tux. “There is something about this that will always stand the test of time and makes any man look so handsome!”, She said. All the groomsmen wore a black bow tie and Chris, the groom, wore a white bow tie. It was perfect detail to make sure the groom stood out from the rest of the groomsmen. [/field]

We were asking all of our guests to travel to Nashville to celebrate with us, so we wanted to spoil them with an amazing dinner!” Taber & Chris did a four course meal starting with a wedge salad. The guests were then served a tomato soup followed by the main course, fillet mignon. Dessert was of course wedding cake! Guests still tell them it was one of the best meals they’ve ever had![/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]The ceremony took place in a church, and the reception was held in a historical hotel in downtown Nashville known as “The Hermitage Hotel.” Taber had two very different floral visions for these two spaces. Both the bride & the groom really value their faith and wanted their ceremony to almost feel “angelic” as a way to display and honor that aspect of their lives. Taber said she wanted the presence of God to be known and felt. With that, they knew they wanted all white, airy, and beautiful flowers! The aisle was lined with as many Calla Lilies as possible, spilling installations of white florals draped the altar, and a beautiful white aisle runner was used to usher the bride & her father down to the awaiting groom. The reception space was so beautiful on its own as far as its interiors that Taber & Chris didn’t feel the need to fill it with flowers. They did minimal florals in the space, but the ones they did have were beautiful arrangements of red anthurium and other unique floral elements.[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]The wedding cake was a white, three tiered, almond flavor with vintage piping in buttercream icing! Taber’s favorite part of their wedding cake was the topper. It was her great grandfather and great grandmother’s cake topper from their wedding. “Also known as our “Nene & Papa.” I knew I wanted to honor as many loved ones as I could with our wedding day who had ultimately shaped us into being the couple that we were.” – Taber
Her Nene was an incredible artist and her papa was incredibly smart and business savvy. They have shaped Taber’s family in many ways and the cake was one way to honor them! [/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]The couple’s ceremony was incredibly special to them with songs and scriptures that played a huge part in their relationship. Two of Taber’s grandfathers and Chris’ dad read several scriptures they love including, 1 Corinthians 13: 4-13, Ecclesiastes 4: 9-12, and 2 Corinthians 4: 13-18. During their time of communion, Taber’s matron of honor and one of her best friends sang the beautiful hymnal, “Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus”. While they sang, the couple took communion and silently prayed together over the future of their marriage. Taber said, “It is actually one of our favorite memories and pictures from our entire day.” For their reception, the couple knew they wanted to keep the energy high! Instead of slow dancing for their first dance they entered with, “I Wanna Dance with Somebody” by Whitney Houston and saved their slow dance, “One day Tonight” by Hoah Thompson for their last dance of the night! It was the most beautiful, special, and thoughtful gift to me. My sister in law had one too and we both got ready in her reconstructed dress! [field title=”Special Detail #2″]”As a way to honor my mom, my reception dress was made from her wedding dress! She has beautiful taste and her dress had lace roses all over the top with a short sleeve ball gown silhouette! We used the underskirt fabric as the skirt part and then corseted the top! It was SO fun to dance in and my dad said he was doing double takes the whole night watching me dance!” – Taber[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]”Chris and I are both extremely sentimental and love our families, so it only made sense to incorporate this into my wedding ring! My ring has two diamonds on it, one of which belonged to my grandmother on my fathers side (our meme) and one which belonged to Chris’ grandmother on his mothers side (his meme). The band has blue sapphires which belonged to my Meme as well! Chris has always worn a bracelet that his grandfather gifted to him and is very special to him. For the gold the jeweler melted down that bracelet and used it to complete the ring. I will treasure my ring forever not only because it is so beautiful, but because it incorporates so many we love into one heirloom! What a gift!” – Taber[/field]

“Toile de Jouy” Linen and French Country Style in the Tropics

When the bride first met with Tatiana Angel, the wedding planner, she said “I would like a French vibe with a soft and romantic color palette”. After finding the “Toile de Jouy” linens everything evolved naturally, the invitations, the overall design of the event and the decor pieces and elements followed. A deep blue was the main color and the most predominant throughout the wedding contrasting with pastel colors such as soft blue, pink, nude, light yellow, and soft greens. The color palette was highlighted throughout the wedding through florals, bridesmaids dresses and bouquets. The bride was inspired by colors which could compliment and contrast with the tropical setting while maintaining a romantic Provence-like feel.

The bride was clear in her vision, she wanted a wedding completely in open air yet crafted to create an intimate experience for the bride, groom, and guests. She requested a romantic, French “Provence Style” vibe, uniquely situated in the laid back atmosphere of the Florida Keys. The biggest challenge for design was recreating a timeless elegant atmosphere on a tropical island. Intentional choices such as having the ceremony in a smaller area where the grass met the sand, and hosting a seated dinner with two long tables side by side, was how we created intimacy in such a large, spacious venue. The execution was perfect as one event flowed to the other from the ceremony, to the cocktail hour, to the reception, and the after-party (a silent disco by the pool!)

[field title=”Proposal Story”]The bride and groom’s love story started in the groom’s hometown of San Diego, California. When they met, though they were drawn to each other, the two could have never predicted they’d be engaged within the year. After a few dinners, the groom insisted on a “two week trial” of serious dating– and the pair quickly fell in love. About six months from their first date, JJ crafted a well concealed, intimate proposal with just the two of them at their apartment in Dallas after a special date at Turtle Creek Mansion.

Crafted cocktails and mixology were present throughout the night, a midnight dinner by the bite was served prior to inviting guests to the Poolside After Party.[/field]

Chandeliers suspended above the 2 royal tables, lush pastel florals over “Toile de Jouy” linens and delicate lace napkins adorned the setting. Timeless Style in Connecticut at Smith Farm Gardens

With such a stunning backdrop, this couple wanted the style of the wedding to replicate and enhance the gorgeous, summery, garden-party aesthetics that already existed. They wanted everything to feel really light and airy, with neutrals and florals that played wonderfully together.[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]Long Beach Island, NJ, holds a special place in Shelby’s heart. Her family had vacationed there nearly her whole life, and Justin just knew that he was going to propose on their family vacation in August. Justin had initially planned to propose on the beach, but the weather had other plans. Between him and Shelby’s family, they had all sorts of signage made to signify the date of the proposal, so there was no turning back. The day went on, and the weather was still not cooperating. As the afternoon came,, Justin and her siblings decided to go to a local eatery on the bay for a drink. As they finished up, the sun was setting on quite literally the dreariest day, and it was at that point that Justin got down on one knee and proposed. Shelby (completely unaware) with her messy bun and t-shirt dress was completely surprised. Once they returned to their rental house, she realized that her family had set up an entire party full of gifts and champagne. Although NOTHING went according to plan, it was the perfect day. However, there were very few dress shops near her that carried the brand, and even if they had carried the brand, they didn’t have that exact style of dress. She scheduled multiple appointments at other establishments and brought her family along, but found herself still thinking about that one particular gown. She finally tracked down the gown at Everthine Bridal in Madison, Connecticut (over two hours from where they lived). She took a road trip alone, tried on the dress, and bought it that same day.

Arrangements incorporated roses, ranunculus, eucalyptus, and more. The decor included a glass shelf champagne display, parasols, and a charcuterie display at Cocktail Hour.[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]The Wedding Cake was designed and made by Marble Made Cakes. When Shelby and Justin expressed that they would like to do an intimate cake cutting I recommended they work with Marble Made Cakes for a beautiful design that fit the overall vision and design of their day. The cake cutting happened as a private moment between the couple with the backdrop of the field at Smith Farm Gardens. [/field]

[field title=”Special Detail #1″]The heirloom piece that was incorporated into the Bride’s bouquet was from her Popa who had passed. Her Popa was like a second father to the Bride. He was her best friend and fell ill quite quickly just days before my 17th birthday. They had no idea that he would be gone within a week of being sick. She has expressed that it was an incredibly difficult season of her life. Her brother Cobi had been gifted all of his gold, including that cufflink. He had brought it to the florist without the Bride’s knowledge and had it incorporated into her bouquet. Having a part of her Popa with her all day, physically and in spirit, was so special.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]Our private last dance. We had everyone clear out of the tent (even the DJ) and the couple was able to share 3 minutes of completely uninterrupted time together before the night ended. It was intimate and emotional and was the best conclusion to the best day. [/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]A note from the couple: Being from the border of CT and NY, we wanted to explore both Hudson Valley and Connecticut options. Early on, we stumbled across Cora Jane Photography and fell head over heels with her photography style. It was at this time that we had seen a blog post she had done from a wedding at Smith Farm Gardens. Without even seeing the property in person, we knew Smith Farm was special. We had set up an intro call with Cora and expressed to her a few of the venues we were interested in, and Cora gave Smith Farm a glowing review. Unfortunately, we were only able to tour the venue in the dead of winter, however, we trusted Cora, and our gut and decided to book one of the two Saturdays they had left for 2023 and it did not disappoint. Kalinka and Adriano aimed for a classic and sophisticated wedding design. With all-white floral arrangements paired with fresh greenery and a neutral colour palette, they sought to create an experience for their guests that would remain timeless for years to come. The venue, Graydon Hall Manor, a historic Georgian-style manor built in 1936, added to the elegance of the event with its enchanting gardens and rich decor. The delicate feel of the soft tones and draping complemented the historical charm of the manor, a true fairytale come to life!

In 2020, Adriano proposed on a starlit evening at the Four Seasons Hotel in their beloved hometown. Graydon Hall Manor is renowned for its exceptional in-house catering services provided by Couture Cuisine. For dinner, guests were treated to a seated four course meal on the terrace which included the choice of Grilled Aged Prime Strip Loin and Miso & Maple Glazed Black Cod. [/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]Kalinka and Adriano’s wedding day was nothing short of a classic and timeliness dream. MUSE Event Co.’s Ellie Eccleton and designer Rachel A Clingen brought their vision to life. The goal was to give Kalinka and Adriano’s guests the feeling as though the abundance of white roses, outlining the ceremony aisle, had naturally grown from the grass where they were seated. To continue this vision throughout the evening, the soft taupe draping within the reception tent was an addition, giving Graydon Hall’s terrace a more delicate feel. [/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]The couple chose a minimalistic, all-white wedding cake adorned with fondant layers that created a beautiful cascading texture designed by Bakeshoppe in Toronto.[/field]

This layout ensured that the couple was the focal point, surrounded by their loved ones and created the feel of an intimate experience. [/field]

Capturing the Essence of Lake Como at Villa Cipressi

The real inspiration behind this event was capturing the essence of Lake Como and encapsulating it in a beautiful, effortless experience for the couple and all the guests. Every detail was centered around the colors, architecture, culture, and relationships unique to the area, only adding to and elevating what was right in front of us. Luxurious design elements complemented the stunning backdrop without overshadowing it, creating a natural and serene celebration. Our goal was to immerse everyone in the venue’s charm and tranquility, achieving a breathtakingly effortless atmosphere and we did just that.

The vision of this day was again, to let the colors of Lake Como be naturally elevated. We used greens that blent in with the color of the Cypress Trees and mountains in the background as well as blushes and peaches that added subtle pops of color which brought in warmth and intimacy to the day. The venue was covered with in bloom Wisteria that flowed so effortlessly into the vision and color palette of the day.

[field title=”The Venue”]Villa Cipressi, located in Varenna, Italy, is a stunning wedding venue that combines historical elegance with breathtaking natural beauty. Nestled on the shores of Lake Como, this 12th-century villa offers panoramic views of the lake and surrounding mountains, this venue was the perfect location for an intimate, elevated event such as this. The meticulously landscaped gardens, filled with vibrant wisteria and other local florals and centuries-old cypress trees, provided a romantic and serene setting. Villa Cipressi is the perfect location for an intimate celebration to provide your guest the best of Italy and Lake Como culture. [/field]

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]Designed by the incredible Bencivenga Alta Sartoria, an Italian designer based in Milan, the bride’s gown was out of this world. It hugged her body in all the right areas showing off her feminine figure while still giving her the volume and ball gown vibe she was wanting. The layered tulle in the skirt fit so well with the mountains behind the lake and was the perfect combination of wow factor while still being functional and comfortable. [/field]

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]Blooms Fair did an incredible job following the vision and goals of this shoot, adding to the beauty of Lake Como and bringing out parts of the venue and scenery that inspired us all. Their perfect use of florals that elevated the design created such warm and inviting touches. The use of peach in her floral design is what I felt truly elevated the looks and make them stand out.

The weather took a turn and there were high winds and rain, and so the reception was moved indoors. Sparkling Moments along side Luxury Event Producers transformed the Villa’s celebration hall bringing the elements of outdoors, indoors. The design was refined, clean yet still cozy and inviting. [/field]
[field title=”Favorite Design Element”]Wardrobe first and foremost did a perfect job standing out and having that wow factor while still fitting well into the space and the vision. Bencivenga Altasartoria completely blew it out of the park!

Regarding the design, the reception was beautifully sophisticated while still being inviting, but the ceremony was the true highlight. It embodied just the right amount of luxury. The floral installation was meticulously curated, the perfectly fitting chairs, the stunning lake view, and the surrounding cypress trees all flowed seamlessly together to create such an intimate environment. In my opinion, this harmony is what defines a sophisticated event and that was without a doubt achieved![/field]
[field title=”Tips To Pull Off The Look”]Embrace the day! Just like anywhere, Lake Como can be unpredictable with weather. Having such an open and optimistic attitude, along side a clear vision allowed the same results to be created although the logistics of the day may have turned out a little different than planned. In my opinion, this is why hiring vendors who understand you and your vision but are also experienced can make such a huge difference! Expereinced vendors can pivot and ensure you get the event you dreamed of. Portraits for this day were captured in just a few minutes to ensure the couple could experience and be present throughout the event.

Also, with the bride’s fashion and beauty, I feel her confidence alongside having key priorities is what made such a memorable look! Her simplistic makeup with the pop of color lip allowed her to be bold while still going for the effortless look she desired. [/field]

Serena and Lily Inspired Wedding in South Carolina

[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]The bride and groom, along with their wedding designers, Pure Luxe Bride, worked tirelessly to create a vibe of “Relaxed Coastal Elegance” throughout every detail of the wedding day and decor![/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]From the Bride:
The proposal took place on November 19th, 2022, a Saturday morning after a challenging week. Earlier that week, I came down with a virus and was in rough shape. By Saturday morning, I was starting to feel better and decided to join Nick on our usual walk to Hampton Park with our dog, Cal. While I was holding Cal’s leash, we entered our favorite path. About halfway through, Nick paused and yelled out, “Maeve, wait up!” a few feet behind us. As I turned around, I saw Nick down on one knee, smiling and holding the ring. I was so overwhelmed with joy and in shock. Following that, my best friends popped out from hiding behind the bushes, and we sat in the park together, taking it all in.[/field]

She chose an elegant strapless gown with a deep sweetheart neckline, which she paired with a sophisticated pearl bolero for the ceremony. For the reception, she removed the bolero and added, in its place, a playful touch with a charming pearl “party bow![/field]
[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]The bridesmaids’ dresses were from Smith & Quinn, featuring their beautiful Zinnia Love print. Each bridesmaid selected a style that she felt most comfortable in, adding a personal touch to the coordinated look.[/field]
[field title=”Groomsman Attire”]The groomsmen’s suits were custom creations by Indochino. They added a touch of charm by wearing blue and white floral bowties in the same fabric as the bridesmaids’ dresses, creating a thoughtfully coordinated look. Wanting something different from the usual navy blue suit, the groom chose a stylish linen sand color suit, adding a unique and elegant touch to the Spring wedding attire.[/field]

[field title=”Food & Drink”]Guests were ushered into cocktail hour by waitstaff serving his-and-hers cocktails—an Aperol Spritz for her and a Ranch Water for him. Both drinks were not only visually stunning but also perfectly refreshing on a warm May afternoon![/field]

The bride, who grew up on the South Shore of Massachusetts, always dreamed of a waterfront wedding. When choosing a venue, Lowndes Grove was a natural choice with its breathtaking coastal views. The wedding day design embodied a relaxed elegance reminiscent of Serena and Lily, featuring a mix of patterned linens, rattan accents, and clusters of blue and white florals. This combination perfectly complemented the stunning water views and the timeless coastal ambiance the bride envisioned. The head table was a focal point of beauty, adorned with cascading chandeliers, a monochromatic floral runner, and custom linens paired with coordinating menus.[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]The three tiered cake featured cascading pearl accents that perfectly complemented the details of the bride’s pearl bolero, worn during the ceremony, adding a cohesive and elegant touch to the overall design.[/field]

[field title=”Special Detail #1″]The bride’s mom arranged an epic surprise for the couple by hiring Ben Keys, a live painter, to capture their special day as a beautiful piece of art for their new home. Guests delighted in watching him paint throughout the night, adding a unique and interactive element to the wedding reception.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]From the ceremony pieces—rattan urns holding grand floral arrangements, blue and white floral hand fans for each guest, and custom double-sided ceremony programs featuring a watercolor of the venue—to the reception space adorned with rattan chandeliers, custom linens, vases filled with varying shades of white and blue flowers, a custom lattice-inspired bar, Serena and Lily-inspired lounge areas, light blue scalloped umbrellas, and a greenery-covered tent, every detail seamlessly contributed to an ambiance of coastal elegance.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]The custom oyster bar, located down by the venue’s dock, was the perfect addition to their cocktail hour by the water. Featuring local oysters in the panel detailing, it added a unique and thematic touch to the design, thanks to CRUSH by Event Works.[/field]
