Saddle up, you’re going to love this refined ranch wedding.  Banks and Leaf planned a day filled with personalized touches, like including the bride’s grandmother’s 1940s saddle in the seating chart display! Floral designs by Floriography filled the day with crisp greenery and lush blooms for designs that delighted.  Every incredible moment was impeccably captured in the imagery by Rachel Havel, you can see each and every dreamy detail in the full gallery.

From Rachel Havel… The wedding of Lauren and Ben took place in the bride’s hometown of Santa Fe, New Mexico. While Santa Fe can draw a lot of southwest inspiration, it was important for the couple that their wedding reflect their classic and laid-back style.  

Hints of blue were brought into the crisp white and green palette. Personalized illustrations reflecting the bride and groom were added to the invitations such as skis, chili peppers, and swim goggles.

The ranch they chose for their venue was the perfect location that offered a lot of space to create different experiences for guests to mingle and enjoy the beautiful weather.

“Our love story is perfectly imperfect but it’s ours” says this beautiful Bride and we couldn’t agree more. Those love and life stories are often filled with bumps and bruises and what really amazes us is when couples can take on those difficulties and become stronger. And that’s exactly what Cindy and her husband Nick did. They reunited after time apart and Luminance Wedding Films captured all the magic that went down as they renewed their vows. From Luminance Wedding Films… “You are my miracle, and I am happy that it is you once again that I get to spend the rest of my life with.” Cindy shared these beautiful words to her husband during their vow renewal session. Their story is one that is very unique and one that we were so honored to be a part of. Cindy and Nick had been married before several years ago. As life sometimes goes, the couple struggled and found themselves going through a divorce a few years later.

After doing a lot of soul searching and finding their faith in God, the couple realized that they were meant for each other and re-connected. Having shared two children together and adopting a third, this family was made whole once again and they were re-married. Not having a video to document this special occasion, the couple approached Luminance Wedding Films to see about creating a vow renewal film. We of course jumped at the chance. Vows are the glue that binds two hearts together. They are what we reflect on when times are tough and when we need a reminder of what we have promised to each other. They see us through the good and the bad times. This film focuses on those important vows and on the strength they found in a life giving and reconciling God.

From Luminance Wedding Films… The lovely couple that is Melanie and Connor exchanged their vows inside the charming chapel of Hotel Albuquerque in Old Town and danced the night away in the sweet, vintage styled ballroom. Melanie wanted a snowy wedding and her wish came true, as the sky burst open with the most dazzling flakes the night of the rehearsal dinner. The rehearsal dinner took place at The Los Poblanos Organic Inn and Farm where friends and family exchanged their congratulations and heartwarming toasts during a soft candlelit dinner with snow falling outside the window. What a backdrop to this magical evening!

The next morning Melanie slipped on her stunning, vintage beaded gown and topped her look with a fur stole. Connor made for a dapper, handsome groom in his grey colored wool suit. They are truly a couple whose fashion sense rocks that of Old Hollywood Glam. Their winter white wedding was just as gorgeous as this couple. This is a rock solid union and one that will last for all of eternity! Cheers to you both and may you have a thousand more snowy anniversaries!

From the Bride… Ryan proposed to me on a hot air balloon in Santa Fe last year. Once engaged we had our hearts set on a destination wedding and knew that going back to New Mexico felt right for our big day. La Mesita was the perfect choice for us when it came to venue. We loved how intimate, secluded, and special it felt. A true escape and adventure. With a small guest list we wanted our reception to feel like a dinner party; casual but elegant. Planning the wedding from afar was definitely a challenge, only visiting our venue once before the wedding weekend, but our vendors were wonderful and our day was more beautiful than we could ever have imagined! This just might be my favorite wedding to date. Reason being? It’s rife with sentiment. From the bride’s mother doing her makeup, to the sweetest first look, to a breathtaking ceremony overlooking the gorgeous landscape of Santa Fe (and don’t even get me started on those ceremony blankets!) every detail has got me seeing heart eyes. From Callie Manion Photography…I am so excited to share with you this intimate spring wedding that took place overlooking the gorgeous landscape of Santa Fe, New Mexico!

Delanie & Brent are some of the sweetest people I’ve met and their wedding day was full of love, romance, and small, yet significant details. They knew all along that they wanted to have a very small ceremony and were so happy to have only their closest family and friends watch as they—Delanie, Brent, and their son Hudson—were united as a family at last.

I was so touched by all the thought that went into the planning of their wedding, even though they had a very short engagement. More than anything, Brent & Delanie really wanted the day to have meaning. They chose Santa Fe for the location because the city is really meaningful to the groom’s family, and instead of renting out an unknown location, they used a close family friend’s property up in the mountains for the event! Delanie honored her family by wearing jewelry passed down to her from her mother and grandmother, and carried her grandmother’s handkerchief with her throughout the day.

The intimate moments when Delanie was getting ready were made even more special by her own mother doing her makeup & hair. The bond they share is really sweet and I love how involved her mom was on the wedding day! Delanie also asked her to put on her shoes and wedding dress for her, while her maid of honor secured her gorgeous Twigs & Honey hair piece in her hair. Delanie made such a gorgeous bride in her BHLDN wedding dress and Betsey Johnson heels!

One of my favorite parts of the day was Delanie & Brent’s First Look. Their reactions were so pure and genuine as they read love letters to each other, standing back to back, before turning for the reveal. It was such a special moment for the two of them to be alone, hold hands, and pray together, before the ceremony took place.

We took their bride & groom portraits immediately following the First Look. The backdrop was truly stunning! And Delanie & Brent wanted the day to be significant for their son, Hudson, as well, and they made sure to have their portraits involve him too!

Their ceremony was breathtaking, overlooking the gorgeous landscape of Santa Fe! The floral arrangements were by Leslie of Everly Alaine Florals, and as usual she absolutely knocked it out of the park. Delanie wanted really lush arrangements with lots of whites, creams, and greenery. Leslie’s arrangements were stunning and brought so much beauty to this small and intimate affair! And because the wedding took place high up in the mountains of Santa Fe, the air was still a bit chilly during their ceremony. The bride & groom thought ahead and left each guest with a cozy lap blanket to use during the ceremony, which also doubled as the most beautiful (and useful!) favors!

After the ceremony ended, the guests were able to join the happy couple inside for the most romantic and cozy dinner. Lit by candlelight, the guests enjoyed exchanging stories about the couple and talking late into the night.

When asked to give some words about her wedding, Delanie noted, “We have overcome so much together. Our story is truly about resilience and never giving up on love. Hudson is our greatest blessing and this marriage is not just a two person love story–but we really are most excited about giving roots to our family.”

A sweet southern wedding is pretty much my happy place… and this darling Old Town Farm affair? Giving me all the feels.  From the breathtaking barn backdrop to the beyond heartwarming moments (FOB’s toast = happy tears) to the epic dance party with the two steppin’ Bride and Groom. From Luminance Wedding Films… You just know you are going to get a laid-back couple with sweet romantic vibes, big hearts and the warmest smiles, when you hear that they will be tying the knot on a farm. Meagan and Patrick exceeded that expectation by miles. Their love for horses, two stepping the country and southern charm were apparent in every aspect from the location to the sweet details. Their day was gorgeous with blue skies overhead, a bright warm sun and a pasture full of loving hearted guests, who cried, laughed and cheered the couple on.

The location took place at Old Town Farm Wedding and created the sweet southern background that this couple loves. Two old barns grace the property with the most beautiful pasture. Patrick, the handsome groom, is a general contractor and built the pergola which provided the ultimate romantic setting in which the couple commenced their vows. While the couple snuck away for photos and their cinema session, their guests were kept busy playing lawn games such as corn hole, horse shoes and dingle berry. The warm August evening welcomed guests inside the old Red barn where they kicked up their heels and did some serious two steppin’. Patrick and Meagan, being a mighty fine two steppin’ couple themselves, tore up the dance floor with twirl after twirl. Meagan and her father are both singer/songwriters and so appropriately danced to the song that they co-wrote and sang together. It was a magical event to say the least.
