East Meets West Inspired Wedding Featuring The Color Sonoma Spice

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]We incorporated warm fall hues of champagne, sonoma spice, and soft reds. [/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

We wanted to create an unforgettable experience for our close friends and family. It was our goal for our guests to say they had the best time and to remember the incredible food and entertainment. For design, our vision was a modern East Meets West-inspired wedding that blended timeless tradition with modern heritage. Sonoma spice was the cornerstone of our color palette that was carried throughout the wedding day – from the invitations to the florals to the linens. Incorporating soft red tones in our wedding was a must because red symbolizes good luck and happiness in Chinese culture. It was truly the best night of our lives!

[field title=”Proposal Story”]We met five years ago in NYC on a dating app and chatted for hours till late night at a rooftop bar. The rest was history from there. Zack’s proposal was a surprise and I certainly was caught off guard. We are both skiers and took a trip out west with some of our friends to Park City, Utah. On the second to last day of our trip, we decided to take one last run before enjoying apres ski. We took the lift to the top of the mountain and Zack suggested taking a picture and took my hand to a section of the mountain and proposed! I was in total shock that I gave the wrong hand for the engagement ring! We celebrated that night at different bars in Park City. [/field]

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]

The wedding gown was from my favorite designer Galia Lahav. It was my dream dress and everything I could have imagined — romantic, whimsical, and the most perfect mermaid silhouette. I slipped into a custom modern red dress during our reception for a traditional Chinese Tea Ceremony and my after-party look was a fun 3D floral applique dress from By Watters.

[/field]
[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]

I chose mismatched bridesmaid dresses in shades of champagne and copper to complement the colors of fall. I gifted them dresses that incorporated a mix of Jenny Yoo, SHow Me Your Mumu, Fame & Partners, and Shona Joy. I wanted timeless dresses that my bridesmaids would feel confident and beautiful in.

[field title=”Groomsman Attire”]

Our wedding was a black-tie event, and the groomsmen wore tuxedos from The Black Tux. Zack wore velvet loafers from Salvatore Ferragamo with his tuxedo.

[section title=”The Details”]
[field title=”Food & Drink”]

We wanted to make sure our guests did not leave our wedding hungry. We had a variety of American and Asian fare during our cocktail hour – lobster mac & cheese, raw bar station, ceviche, dumplings, lo-mein, and so much more. For our reception, we chose entrees that you typically would not see on a wedding menu – pan-seared veal chop with roasted garlic sauce, Bronzino with lemon sauce, and chicken saltimbocca. Our his and her drinks were an old-fashioned and a skinny spicy margarita! And, of course, our late-night food included a gelato cart that included our favorite flavors, cappuccino and matcha, and an Asian food truck that served dumplings and bao buns.

[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

Our florals featured garden roses in warm tones of champagne, caramel, and soft reds. There were two different types of orchids and chocolate red anthurium along with locally grown dahlias, and red butterfly ranunculus for added texture. I incorporated elements of my Asian heritage by mixing in red florals throughout the bouquets and centerpieces.

[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]We wanted a simple cake that allowed our flowers and color palette to shine. Our wedding cake was super unique because it incorporated each of our favorite flavors – carrot cake for Zack and red velvet for me![/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”][/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]To pay homage to my Asian roots, we incorporated a Chinese tea ceremony during our reception. We both changed into custom-made pieces – Zack wore a fitted red blazer and I changed into a modern red dress. [/field]

A Luxurious Multicultural Chateau Wedding In The Summertime

Say hello to stunning, this summertime wedding will stop you in your tracks.  AMV Weddings planned and designed a day that pulls out all the stops, from the flower-filled ceremony designed by  Pedestals Floral Decorators to the endlessly romantic ballroom reception accented with hints of gold.  Imagery by Amber Dawn Photography perfectly captures the love and joy of the heartfelt day, take a closer look inside the full gallery.

From Amber Dawn Photography… I had the honor of photographing Winnie and Zach’s Elegant Park Chateau Estate Wedding in East Brunswick, NJ. Their dreamy wedding day was filled with joy, and so many gorgeous details and memorable moments. New Jersey is home to several elegant and high-end wedding venues. Park Chateau Estate and Gardens is at the top of that list with their stunning event spaces and romantic elegance infused throughout. It is the perfect venue for a classic and timeless wedding day celebration.

Several amazing wedding vendors had a part in Winnie and Zach’s beautiful wedding day! Brooke of AMV Weddings did a fantastic job planning their special day and bringing their vision for the day to life! They make it a priority to customize every wedding experience for each couple to have the wedding of their dreams! I was blown away by all the details and how carefully orchestrated Winnie and Zach’s wedding day was. Everything flowed seamlessly. To capture their amazing wedding detail shots, I worked with my friend, Joanna of Hazel Dust Studios to style the flat lays! She does amazing work at styling wedding details to elevate the overall look and aesthetic. I highly recommend to all my brides to hire a stylist like Hazel Dust Studios for a more polished, higher-end, and GORGEOUS detail layout. The bride wore a stunning wedding dress with lace sleeves and collar details. She looked positively radiant! I am pretty sure her father agreed judging by his reaction during their first look in the bridal suite.

Pedestals Floral Decorators went above and beyond in the floral design! From the beautiful arrangements in the bouquets to the classic look of flower arrangements decorating the grand staircase, the eye-catching floral arch at the wedding ceremony, to the dreamy and romantic flower arrangement found in the center of each table at the reception and draping the front of the couple’s sweetheart table. Their work is impeccable with an eye for design, a passion for creativity, and a commitment to providing the best service and florals. Winnie and Zach had a gorgeous color pallet for their wedding that included neutral tones of white, peach, and pops of dusty blue. The way the colors were intertwined throughout their wedding and were brought to life with the floral displays was breathtaking! During their elegant celebration at their reception, the couple performed a very regal choreographed first dance set to orchestral music, unlike any first dance I’ve ever seen. It was mesmerizing to watch. They practiced their dance during cocktail hour prior to the beginning of the reception, and when it came time to perform it went flawlessly.

There is something so sweet and intimate about it and this Groom had me shedding a tear or two of my own! The lovely couple decided on classic black and white details with touches of gold to highlight their ever so beautiful venue, The Park Chateau Estate & Garden with a jaw-dropping chandelier and elegant florals by Wedded Events. From Brkyln View PhotographyElyisha’s & Nadeem’s wedding at the luxurious Park Chateau is what dreams are made of! From the breathtaking getting ready location, on-site adorable white chapel, a stunning ballroom, and beautifully manicured gardens, you can see why the couple chose this venue to celebrate their wedding day.

The couple exchanged an emotional first look in the gardens before we moved around the property for their bridal portraits. Tears were shed, words of love exchanged, and intimate images taken before the day really got started!

The bride and groom decided to keep their bridal party in classic black bridesmaid dresses and suits which gave an iconic and classic look to their wedding. The Bride wore a stunning beaded wedding gown from Jahee Bridal.

For their wedding ceremony, their family pastor was the officiant and married the couple. Lots of happy tears were shed during their vows. The couple walked out of the chapel and were showered with rose petals as they walked down the steps as husband and wife.

Inside the reception space, the couple had the dance floor wrapped in white with their new monogrammed emblem underneath the grand chandelier. The couple had lots of white, gold, and pops of green in their wedding decor that brought the elegant ballroom to life.

This wedding celebration is a dream. From these gorgeous images, you can see that the ballroom seriously sparkled ~ from one end to the other! And the flowers? In ever corner, on every surface, sensational florals adorned the room.  This was a day that truly exhilarated our wedding-lovin’ hearts.

From the couple… Our wedding at Park Chateau Estate was an elegant garden, black-tie affair, that took place on a perfect sunny summer day. The spectacular chateau-style venue inspired many of our decor decisions.

We had our sweetheart table place directly in front of the fireplace. Every inch of both were covered in flowers. A truly romantic feel us as the Bride and Groom!

There were many special touches that made our wedding, “ours”. One thing that was important to us was to  incorporate a special Bridge in NJ that we came across. It was a line, a special line, that marked New Jersey and Pennsylvania merging. Since Stephen is from New Jersey and Kimberly is from Pennsylvania, it was a special spot that the two of us shared. So, for our wedding favors, we printed wine labels with this very NJ/PA line to share with our guests.

Another very special thing that we did during our reception was to sneak out and catch the sunset, alone. Time stood still… as we re-danced our first dance, as husband and wife.

When the night ended, the our bridal part and families held sparklers for our sparkler exit. You can tell by the expressions on our faces just how wonderful our wedding day was!

All the Best Dressed Awards Go to This Wedding

Every single member of the bridal party at this stylish New Jersey affair captured by Sophie Kaye Photography looked red carpet ready. The bride’s attendees were dressed in pure white, each choosing a dress most suited to her own style. The groom’s attendees, a mix of men and women, contrasted the bridesmaids by wearing chic, all-black attire, while the groom looked absolutely dashing in a velvet jacket by Hugo Boss. And finally, the pièce de résistance was the bride in her champagne gown and veil by Lee Petra Grebenau, paired with stunning red velvet Jimmy Choos, sleek waves by StylesOnB, and a dewy, natural face by Stacie Ford Weddings. It’s official – this wedding wins all the best dressed rewards.

From Sophie Kaye PhotographyThis wedding was the epitome of elegance and European charm. The bride and groom, Aileen and Phil, created a truly incredible event at the brand new Park Chateau Estate, mixing their love of editorial fashion and family tradition. Dressed in a stunning champagne bejeweled gown by Lee Petra Grebenau with a matching veil, Aileen dressed her group of closest friends in white for an amazing twist on the traditional wedding party look. Phil wore a velvet blazer and surrounded himself with his own party – of both men and women – in sleek black attire. With incredible over the top florals, each girl carried a stunning cascade of white blooms.

The ceremony took place in the beautiful, on-site chapel. Each seat was decorated with a handmade program by calligrapher Michaela Mcbride. The ceremony involved multiple moments with involvement from family and friends before releasing everyone out to the incredibly decorated reception space. Adam Leffel Productions brought the incredible venue to life by installing magical tree-like structures on the dinner tables, dripping with golden flickering candles. Each display was truly an incredible sight, including the head table which was surrounded by an amazing arch of florals. They really were truly amazing, transforming the french-inspired venue into a whimsical forest.
