An Interior Designer’s Cape Cod Wedding with To-Die-For Nautical Details

When this gorgeous Cape Cod wedding first came across my desk, I had to do a double take to make sure it was a real wedding and not a photo shoot because it’s that pretty. But that’s no surprise considering this beautiful Bride is an interior designer. From the hanging sailboat to the scattered seashells throughout, this wedding is the definition of nautical glamour. See it all from Arielle Doneson Photography in The Vault!

From Arielle Doneson PhotographyElizabeth and Peter met on the Cape, where Elizabeth grew up and Peter spent much of his youth. The Provincetown monument was the perfect backdrop for their nuptials as it offered a stunning 360 view of their beloved cape. As an interior designer with a discerning eye, Elizabeth styled the day to perfection with nautical objéts curated from her travels. The day started out a gray and rainy one but by the time the ceremony began it was a perfectly glorious Cape Cod day – just a photographer’s dream.

Provincetown, MA Engagement Session

Gorgeous light, a gorgeous couple and gorgeous images from Mikhail Glabets make for one seriously gorgeous post. And it’s a post we get to sit and devour as long as we possibly like. So join me in this stunning gallery for some serious engagement session inspiration, it’s overflowing with pretty.

From the Bride…Rob and I met over eight years ago and it wasn’t long after that we both discovered our shared love of Cape Cod. The best part about living in Massachusetts is surviving the winter and looking forward to spending some time on the Cape’s outer beaches. We love spending time on the outer cape, from Cahoon Hollow all the way up to Race Point, and especially love catching the sunset in Provincetown. The outer Cape’s natural beauty can’t be matched so between that and how much fun P-town is, naturally we decided to get married there. Two weeks before our wedding, Rob and I headed out to Truro with a group of our friends. After hitting the beach all day to soak up some sun and play volleyball, we showered up, grabbed stuff to BBQ and headed out to do Rob’s absolute favorite thing – take the cars oversand onto Race Point.

Hello Super Studios ~ Provincetown Wedding

The backdrop alone for today’s wedding…is basically as good as it gets. And when we saw the entire wedding unfold through the lens of Hello Super Studios, we completely fell in love. It’s the most intimate, sweet, absolutely lovely affair we’ve seen in a long time and we are thrilled to be able to share it with you today. From the bride’s Audrey-ish gown to the peonies lining the tables, every little bit of this wedding is SMP gorgeous.

This is the super 8 wedding film of Sari & Holly, two professors from Skidmore College in upstate New York. They had a wonderfully intimate wedding at the tip of Cape Cod in the beautiful location of Provincetown, MA. The attention to detail was incredible… from the gorgeous flowers, to the lovely dress and shoes, to the handcrafted rings, to the perfectly quaint setting on the water at the Red Inn. This was a particularly special wedding for us as we are big supporters of marriage equality. And the love between Sari and Holly was simply undeniable.

from Sari …

Holly and I have been spending summers in Provincetown- at the tip of Cape Cod– since we first started dating and always knew we wanted to get married there. Our venue, the Red Inn, is a small restaurant and inn at the far end of town, nestled up against the water, with some of the best food in town, and it provided the perfect canvas for our aesthetic, which we thought of as “nautical romantic modern.” Our flowers were peonies, garden roses, and sea star fern. We used gold flatware on linen tablecloths with vintage grain sacks as table runners to capture a faded, weather-worn look, and our menus and paper goods were all navy and white with pink accents. The whole planning process felt like a collaborative art project, and we truly enjoyed developing our vision and watching our amazing vendors turn it into a reality. The day could not have been more glorious.

You can see more photos from this beautiful wedding on 100 Layer Cake!  Our thanks to Hello Super Studios for sharing the film and our congratulations to Sari & Holly!
