A Poetic, Stone-Hued Wedding of Quiet Luxury at Petra Theater

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]

The color palette was inspired by the raw beauty of Petra Theater itself — soft neutrals, natural stone, warm ivory, and touches of metallic gold. These hues reflected the surrounding landscape and created a calm, harmonious atmosphere that blended seamlessly with the ancient quarry’s textures. Guests were invited to dress in muted tones, allowing the natural beauty of the setting, the light, and the emotion of the day to take center stage.

[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

The wedding was envisioned as a poetic gathering — an ode to heritage, artistry, and quiet luxury. Ivi and Neo wanted the experience to feel intentional and soulful rather than overly decorated or conventional. The design was guided by restraint and emotion, focusing on light, structure, and symbolism rather than excess. A custom circular lighting installation illuminated the stone amphitheater, echoing the shape of the ancient stage and symbolizing unity, eternity, and shared light. The result was a celebration that felt cinematic and deeply personal, where every detail reflected meaning and artistry.

[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]

The proposal unfolded on a scenic drive through Malibu — the same route the couple had taken on their first date ten years earlier. It was Ivi’s birthday, and Neo had planned the day with his signature thoughtfulness. Without grand gestures, he asked her to marry him in the quiet rhythm of the California coastline, creating a full-circle moment that tied their story back to its beginnings. What made it even more special was learning later that he had called her father in Cyprus to ask for his blessing — a gesture that carried both humor and heart, and one that perfectly reflected the warmth and spirit of their families.

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]Ivi wore a custom Vivienne Westwood gown from the Los Angeles atelier — sculptural, expressive, and grounded in craftsmanship. The silhouette embodied Westwood’s signature balance of structure and emotion, with custom sleeves that made the gown uniquely hers. She paired it with an ethereal tulle headpiece by artist Raven Kauffman, a close friend known for her work with Tom Ford, and completed the look with jewelry she designed herself for her brand, IVI LOS ANGELES. Each piece carried symbolic weight — from the hand-carved Pentelic marble necklace to the solid silver hair comb — connecting her artistry with her heritage.[/field]
[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”][/field]
[field title=”Groomsman Attire”]

Neo’s look was timeless and quietly confident. He wore an ivory double-breasted Corneliani suit tailored from luxurious Loro Piana fabric — a design that reflected understated elegance and effortless sophistication. His accessories were equally intentional: silver cufflinks custom-made by Ivi for IVI LOS ANGELES and classic leather tassel loafers by Santoni. His style perfectly mirrored the balance of refinement and ease that defined the entire day.

[field title=”Food & Drink”]The culinary experience was envisioned as an ode to Greek tradition — refined, soulful, and rooted in authenticity. Every dish was crafted with local, seasonal ingredients, curated by the talented team at Dipnosofistirion, one of Greece’s most renowned culinary houses. The couple wanted their guests to feel the warmth and generosity of Greek hospitality, so dinner was served family-style, inviting everyone to share, connect, and celebrate around the table. The flavors paid homage to their heritage while embracing a modern sensibility — elegant, unpretentious, and full of heart. Each course felt like a love letter to Greece itself: vibrant, honest, and unforgettable.[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

The creative direction and production were led by the talented team at Fresh Events. Rather than traditional floral arrangements, Ivi and Neo chose to highlight the natural textures of Petra Theater. The raw stone, open sky, and architectural lines became the main decorative elements. Lighting designers Andreas Kourtis and George Tellos created a circular illuminated installation that transformed the venue into something ethereal and spiritual. Minimal candlelit tables and sculptural seating layouts emphasized intimacy and flow, allowing light and space to take on poetic significance.

[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]In keeping with their philosophy of modern simplicity, the wedding cake followed a minimal yet refined aesthetic — designed as an edible extension of the day’s tones and textures. Fresh Events and the culinary team curated a dessert that felt classic yet contemporary, allowing taste and craftsmanship to shine through without distraction.[/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]

One of the most emotional moments of the ceremony was Ivi’s walk down the aisle to Sophia Loren’s “Ti Einai Afto Pou To Lene Agapi” — a sentimental nod to her Greek roots. The ceremony felt cinematic, guided by music that was deeply personal to the couple. As the night unfolded, DJ Bynx from Los Angeles curated a soundscape that evolved from soulful to joyful, transforming the amphitheater into a glowing dance floor beneath the stars. Every note felt intentional — not about performance, but about emotion, rhythm, and connection.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]

The Circular Light Installation. At the heart of the Petra Theater, a luminous circular light structure symbolized wholeness, eternity, and artistic legacy. Designed by Andreas Kourtis and George Tellos, it became one of the defining visuals of the evening — a bridge between the ancient and the modern.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]

The Custom Dining Table. A single round dining table stood at the center of the theater — minimal, candlelit, and surrounded by the people closest to the couple. It was a powerful design choice that brought intimacy and focus to a vast, monumental space.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]

The Marble Keepsakes. Each guest received a pendant designed by Ivi for IVI LOS ANGELES — a rhodium-plated silver vial adorned with Pentelic marble from Athens. Inside was a handwritten note, a poetic reminder of love, legacy, and memory — a keepsake meant to be carried long after the celebration ended.

A French Baroque-Inspired Wedding Inspired by the Grandeur of Versailles

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]

The wedding colors are gold, blush pink, ivory, and creamy neutrals

[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

Caitlyn and Quinn’s vision was to embody the grandeur, opulence, and splendor of the French Baroque era, drawing inspiration from the famous Palace of Versailles. They chose the colors of gold, blush pink, and ivory to create a romantic, soft atmosphere.

[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]

Caitlyn had always dreamed of being proposed to in Paris in front of the Eiffel Tower, and Quinn knew that from the very beginning. Secretly, he worked with her friends to plan everything, from choosing the photographer and videographer to designing the ring. The day of the proposal turned out to be unforgettable for an unexpected reason: it coincided with the day of the Paris Marathon. Roads were shut down all across the city, and they almost didn’t make it to the original proposal location. Quinn remained calm, and they managed to make their way to a nearby spot that, by pure luck, was empty. In the end, it became the most intimate moment they could have imagined. The Eiffel Tower stood unobstructed behind them; there were no crowds at all, and it felt as if the entire city had paused just for them. It was truly magical.

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]

Caitlyn had always loved Galia Lahav, and when she first saw the dress online, she had a feeling it might be the one. Although she shopped around and tried on various gowns, once she tried on the Galia Lahav at Stanley Korshak, she knew it was meant for her. Wanting a dramatic veil to complement her beautiful gown, Caitlyn worked with Galia Lahav to create a custom cathedral-length veil. The gown, designed with long sleeves, was given a makeover for the reception as Caitlyn hired a stylist from Maisie-Kate to help with a quick design change. “For the ceremony, the gown featured romantic, long sleeves, but I realized that they limited how much I could move. For the reception, we removed the sleeves to give the dress a strapless silhouette, which made our first dance so much easier and felt like a fun, glamorous transformation. And later in the night, I changed into my reception dress from Oscar de la Renta, so it felt like I truly had three looks in one day!” Caitlyn shared.

[/field]
[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]For her bridesmaids, Caitlyn envisioned soft-pink, silky dresses that conveyed elegance and comfort. It was important to her that everyone felt beautiful in their own silhouette, so she allowed each bridesmaid to choose her own style. They decided to get their dresses from Revelry, recommended by Caitlyn’s stylist at Oscar de la Renta, because it offered the perfect shade of rose along with many flattering silhouette options.[/field]
[field title=”Groomsman Attire”]

Since their wedding design was inspired by Versailles, Quinn wanted a look that was timeless yet elevated. While the groomsmen donned classic black tuxedos, they aimed for Quinn’s appearance to stand out. Drawing inspiration from Ryan Reynolds’ Met Gala outfit, which featured a white vest, they created a look that felt formal, regal, and unique without being overly flashy. Sal at Stanley Korshak in Dallas coordinated the creation of the custom vest and helped Quinn select every detail of the tuxedo. They were extremely grateful to him for bringing Quinn’s vision to life. For the groomsmen, Caitlyn and Quinn opted for a classic and cohesive look with black tuxedos from The Blk Tux. This choice created a timeless, refined appearance that paired beautifully with the overall wedding aesthetic.

[field title=”Food & Drink”]Caitlyn and Quinn curated a dinner menu featuring some of their favorite French-inspired dishes, along with meals they enjoyed cooking together. Guests began with a port-poached pear salad. For the entrée, those who chose beef were served filet mignon accompanied by potato au gratin and garlic broccolini. Guests opting for fish enjoyed miso-marinated sea bass paired with bok choy and fingerling potatoes.

Throughout the evening, the bride and groom each had their own signature drinks. Caitlyn’s was a Kir Royale, while Quinn’s was a classic Gin and Tonic.
[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

The flower varieties included garden roses, spray roses, orchids, snapdragons, baby’s breath, ranunculus, delphinium, stock, and peonies. While an outdoor garden wasn’t a possibility at the venue, the couple decided to bring the outdoors inside with lush floral arches, custom-built boxwood walls, stone busts, and floral terraces, transporting guests to the Versailles Gardens. For the reception, guests were ushered into the Georgian Ballroom, whose baroque architecture mimicked the opulence of the Palace of Versailles ballrooms. The mirror-topped head table featured a custom place setting of Vietri, Royal Crown Derby, and Herend china. Gold flatware and crystal stemware completed the tabletop. Tall, grand arrangements and crystal candelabras provided height and dimension throughout the Ballroom, complementing the Crystal Napoleon Chairs and neutral linens.

[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]A five-tiered cake of strawberries and cream, raspberry white chocolate, and almond white cake was displayed atop a garden of roses. It featured vintage-styled piping that mimicked the architecture of the historic Biltmore Ballrooms.[/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]

The ceremony music was provided by a custom ensemble that included a string quartet, a male and female vocalist, a trumpet, and a piano. The vocalists performed a special version of “The Prayer” during the couple’s unity ceremony. A 12-piece band welcomed guests into the reception and kept them on the dance floor until a DJ took over for an EDM set to conclude the evening.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]Caitlyn envisioned a unique and interactive escort display for her wedding. Throughout the planning process, she was particularly excited about the petite cakes. Inspired by the Palace of Versailles, guests discovered their seating assignments nestled within a Venetian-style bookshelf. Inside, each guest found a personalized cake designed with the same vintage piping as that of the bride and groom, with their seating assignment elegantly placed on top.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]

The couple’s invitation suite was elegant and ornate, perfectly setting the tone for the event. The envelope featured a lining adorned with a watercolor illustration of the wedding venue, offering guests a sneak peek of what was to come. The invitation itself showcased gold foil, die-cut scalloped edges, gold engraved script, a custom crest, a silk pink bow, and wax seals bearing their monogram. They also included a detailed card with gold foil die-cut edges and a floral design. The suite was filled with personalized touches that hinted at the Versailles inspiration behind the wedding.

The Ultimate Honeymoon Packing List

Let’s be clear about something: packing for any trip is hard. But packing for your honeymoon? That can feel nearly impossible. How do you strike just the right balance between cute, comfy, and practical—not to mention pieces that won’t make you think “What am I wearing!?!” when you look back on your photos decades from now? That said, when you break your packing list down into a few different categories, things get MUCH easier. After all, no matter where you and your newly-minted spouse are off to, you’re going to want to bring along a romantic dress or two, sight-seeing sneakers, and a seriously cute pair of pajamas (now is not the time to bring along your high school gym shirt!). Read on to discover the 10 pieces that every bride should have in her honeymoon getaway bag, and shop a few of our favorites of the moment.

1. Date-Ready Dress

You don’t need to bring along your fanciest frock, but you should have at least one romantic dress (or skirt, or figure-hugging pair of pants) packed along with you to slip on in the evenings for candlelit dinners out. Bonus points if the style is something you can also rock during the day!

Photography | Esther Sun Photography

2. Sweet Swimsuit

Even if you aren’t jetting off to somewhere tropical for your honeymoon, a cute suit or two should always be stashed in your suitcase.

Pro tip: A cute one-piece will look great on the beach on it’s own, layered under cover-ups at the bar or even making the steam-room circuit at the spa. It’s a total honeymoon-must!

3. Cross-body bag

A bag is the last thing you want to be worrying about while you and your new hubby or wife are out exploring, so go for a hands-free style like this cross-body from & Other Stories. And because this style is black and features minimal detailing, it will style seamlessly across any occasion on your itinerary.

& Other Stories Leather Fold Over Crossbody Bag

4. Day-to-night pieces

Though you’ll definitely want to pack a few special pieces for romantic evenings out, the majority of what you bring along should transition from day to night without a second thought. Go for flippy dresses or relaxed trousers that can be dressed up with a pair of heels and some red lipstick, and down with those trusty, wear-everywhere sneakers.

& Other Stories Gathered Maxi Dress

5. Easy Heels

Your honeymoon is not the time to pack that killer pair of 6-inch heels you keep stashed in the back of your closet. Instead, bring along a pair that you’ll have no problem walking to dinner and back in—wedges, espadrilles, and low block heels should do the trick nicely.

Castañer Carina 60 Canvas Wedge Espadrilles

6. Sight-Seeing Sneakers

This is a no-brainer for any vacation, but seeing it’s your honeymoon, we’d suggest investing in a fresh new pair of sneakers (just don’t forget to break them in before you jet off!)

SUPERGA 2790 PLATFORM SNEAKERS

7. Chic Loungewear

Looking chic while traveling is a skill that takes years to master, but having a go-to airport outfit definitely is a great place to start. So swap out your old leggings and sweater for styles with elevated fashion-forward details.

Revolve Koko Sweatpants

8. Sunglasses

Though your trendy ultra-thin or wildly-tinted sunglasses are certainty cute, you’re going to want to bring along something a little bit more classic on your honeymoon. This pair from Illesteva are sure to still hold up when you look back on honeymoon photos years from now.

Illesteva Leonard Round-Frame Acetate Sunglasses

9. Functional Luggage

Besides having a failsafe outfit formula, the right luggage makes a world of difference when it comes to traveling in style. A hard-sided suitcase—which makes organization a breeze for even the worst over-packers—and a classic carryall will be your trusty travel companion for years to come.

CALPAK x Jen Atkin Medium Suitcase

Longchamp Large Le Pilage Tote

10. Cute Pajamas

It bears repeating that your honeymoon is definitely not the time to shove your ratty, decade-old t-shirt and sweats into your suitcase. Instead, opt for something sweet and classic like this set from Rails. We promise it’s just as comfortable (and will make morning snuggle sessions even cuter).

An Enchanting Strawberry-Themed Garden Party Wedding Filled with Joy and Color

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]

Shades of white, pink, and strawberries, Ethan / Laura Sapienza: What did you envision your wedding being before planning? I envisioned my wedding as an enchanting garden party! Everyone is dancing, enjoying the good views and better company. What was your favorite moment? Your favorite crafted detail? My favorite moment had to have been walking down the aisle. Everything looked so stunning, and it really felt like I was in a dream. Time slowed down. My favorite crafted detail has to be the welcome poster. It was alast-minutee addition, and it really set the tone for the evening. This was an evening to celebrate our journey, with everyone who helped us along the way. What is one piece of advice that you could give brides-to-be? Take breaks in the planning process if you can! It’s overwhelming, and I found stepping away from things and coming back to them later to be a really good solution. Squeeze your butt cheeks together to stop yourself from crying too much as you read your vows. And if you’re getting married in the daytime – order the bubbles! They look so good in pictures!

[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

What was your color palette and your style vision? Our wedding was strawberry themed! My husband and I met at NYU’s Strawberry Festival and have matching strawberry tattoos to commemorate. The groomsmen wore red (strawberry) ties and socks. The bridesmaids wore light green. We even had a bright red ring bearer to match!

What unique elements or DIY details did you include? Quite a few! We named our tables on streets that either of us has lived on. We felt that was a nicer option over numbering tables. We also had a handmade welcome poster that included the earliest photo of us together we could find. For the table assignments, we ordered vintage postcards from Los Angeles, since the wedding was a destination wedding for much of our family. It created a great photo wall for our guests and a lovely memento. The groomsmen’s ties were custom-made from a tablecloth we found on eBay. We did strawberry mimosas with Harry’s Berrys Strawberry juice as a welcome drink! We ordered bubbles for the guests to blow during the ceremony, and that came out beautifully in the pictures. I wrapped my bouquet in one of my Dad’s old ties. He has passed on, but it was a way for him to be there with me. We really found that a limited theme helped open up our creativity.

A Miami Homecoming Wedding with Mediterranean Color and Italian Sprezzatura

[section title=”The Planning”]

Weeding colors reflected a warm and elegant Mediterranean palette with vintage and romantic touches, such as in marigold, soft whites, basil, and mint, with a touch of terracotta and muted blush.

[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

It was important for me to get married in Miami and in the US more broadly. Having moved to the UK as a teenager, I saw it as a wonderful excuse to bring all my favourite people—Ben and his family and our friends included—from my life across the pond back to my roots. The Surf Club, our chosen venue, has special resonance for my family. We have spent so many family gatherings and milestones there. The property is oozing with history from a yesteryear of old school Miami charm. It glistens with a true touch of Mediterranean elegance and an air of Italian sprezzatura. When our wedding planner, Annie Lee of Daughter of Design, asked us how we wanted our guests to feel, I said, “as if they had been to the most fun family dinner in their lives!” This,s to m,e meant three things: intimate company, delicious Italian food, and music at every turn. Nostalgia is a feeling I wanted to evoke.

[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]

Ben and I met at a Shabbat dinner in London preceding our mutual friends’ wedding. I was the best friend of the bride, and he was the best friend of the groom, but somehow, we had never crossed paths! In the past, before we met, he had likely left the pub just as I arrived. If there were such things as sliding doors moments in life, this was a case in point. I’ll never forget the faces of the bride and groom across from us as they watched me and Ben ensconce ourselves deeper and deeper into conversation. Fast forward through whirlwind dates exquisitely planned by Ben, one trip across the world to India, and two years later to our own wedding day.

My day began in one of the iconic ’30s bungalows at The Surf Club, where I woke up with my sisters to a delicious Italian breakfast. My mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, and sisters-in-law joined to get ready and enjoy a beautiful Surfside morning. I couldn’t wait to get into my Dana Harel gown. At our welcome party the evening before the wedding, I wore a vintage Prada dress that I plucked at the last minute from my mother’s closet! I felt it gave me the ease to glide through the weekend with elegance, so when I got into my wedding gown, I felt confident and ready! As the cocktail hour ended, the shades on the iconic dinner terrace lifted, and a spotlight shone on the extraordinary Louis Amanti at the other end, beckoning guests into the dinner with Fly Me To the Moon. Guests found their seats by virtue of little numbered bags containing 5 ‘confetti’ or almonds, each representing a different wish for the couple. Bowls of pasta were served, and words were exchanged. It was a transportive experience to dine on the terrace as Amanti swooned about and crooned guests to Sinatra and Elvis. My grandmother was serenaded to her favorite song, Can’t Help Falling in Love with You. By the end of dinner, everyone was on their feet with napkins lassoing in the air. Our planners practically had to fight to get us all to move on to the next segment of the evening.

Ceremony: The ceremony was important to us, especially in the way that we wanted to honour both of our faiths. We were so grateful to have found a priest and a rabbi who would bring to the ceremony all the overlapping values of Catholicism and Judaism. One of my most vivid memories was standing under our storybook reminiscent chuppah as both the priest and rabbi draped their respective shawls over each of our shoulders. The light wind and rain were not even a deterrent; in fact, we embraced it as good luck! My Italian Catholic American roots and Ben’s Jewish English roots blended so beautifully. Worlds, cultures, and religions truly did collide. After the ceremony, Ben and I snuck off to the bungalow to share a martini—our favourite drink!— while guests congregated for drinks on the terrace, teeming with trays of Aperol spritz. Yoli Mayor, one of our epic musicians, sang some of our favorite songs from Fleetwood Mac, Cat Stevens, and Carole King. Music was an integral part of each moment. My dad is originally from Detroit, and Ben’s father had an iconic career in music in the UK, so it was important for us to work with musicians who would evoke a spirit of true artistry.

This Blush-Toned Amalfi Coast Wedding Was The Dinner Party Of A Lifetime

Inspired by the natural beauty of the Amalfi Coast, Ericka and Gary envisioned their wedding weekend as an intimate, dreamlike celebration — like a spring evening in Italy with no curfew. Ericka embraced her love of pink and leaned fully into every magical notion throughout the planning process. The floral design followed a romantic, blush-toned palette to complement the breathtaking views of Ravello, framed by an altar of roses and branches.

[field title=”Proposal Story”]

Ericka and Gary first met at the rehearsal dinner for a mutual friend’s wedding. Ericka’s initial impression of Gary was one of mild annoyance, as he had interrupted her conversation from across the table. She leaned over to the bride and asked, “Who is that?” The bride replied, “That’s actually your partner in the wedding — Gary.” By the next day, however, Gary had made quite a different impression. He was thoughtful and attentive, bringing Ericka food and drinks throughout the day, and was the only one who rushed to help when a full veggie tray spilled across her dress. Later that evening, Gary asked her for a dance, and Ericka agreed. They ended up talking well into the early morning hours, though Ericka had an early flight to catch. With no plans to stay in touch, they said goodbye. But when Ericka arrived in the hotel lobby the following morning, bags in hand, Gary was there waiting to ask for her number. “When I got home, flowers were waiting for me,” she recalled. “And the rest, as they say, is history!” For Ericka’s 28th birthday, Gary planned a trip to Paris, setting the stage for a proposal that had been months in the making. He proposed along the Seine River, with the Eiffel Tower glittering in the background. “I’m officially the happiest man alive,” Gary wrote. “Here’s to forever with my love.”

A Pink-Forward Tahoe Celebration with Thoughtful, Custom Details at The Ritz

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]

Pink tones everywhere. The bride wanted very little greenery. So it was all about the pink florals!

[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

Everything was thoughtfully designed, from the custom stationery (the prettiest one I’ve ever seen) featuring the Tahoe landscape to the elegant details throughout. The brides made sure every element reflected their vision. Soft pink tones tied it all together beautifully.

[field title=”Proposal Story”]

We were about a year and a half into dating when we decided that it was about time to get engaged. We consulted with Cat’s mom on ring shopping, where the three of us went together, looking and discussing our dream rings with one another. On this trip, Debra started discussing her engagement ring, which had been stolen years prior, wrestling with the idea of replacing it. On the way out, Hannah Marie asked Debra her thoughts on the two of us getting married, to which she replied, I mean,n I thought you two would be getting married after moving in with one another. And then it was time to get to planning. Both of us wanted to be proposed to, but Cat wanted to be proposed to first. Hannah Marie had coordinated a weekend in Colorado with plans foCat’sts family and all of our friends to have a weekend celebrating our love. It was only a few weeks later when we received the tragic news that Debra had been diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer, and plans quickly turned to a proposal in Fort Worth so that Debra could be a part of it. On the day of my proposal to Cat, I walked into Debra’s bedroom and showed her the ring. I told her I wanted to show her the ring before we left, and she told me that it was beautiful, that Cat was going to love it, and that she was excited to see it on Cat’s finger. We left for brunch with Cats sister and brother-in-law, where we “had to make a reservation,” only to end up being the only people in the restaurant. Ian had “recommended” we go to the art museum to look around. I couldn’t think straight as we showed up to the museum, but as the time came to ask the question, I said to Cat, “This is the moment, this is the moment” and finally said, “It has been the biggest privilege of my life to love you, will you marry me.” of course Cat said yes, we celebrated with some drinks before returning to Cats parents house to share our news. Cat does not love to hike. But a few weeks later, back in Colorado, she started to plant the seeds that she wanted to go on a hike after work. I was thrilled by this news, as I love to hike and would jump at any opportunity to hike with my nowfiancéee. As I’m changing into a very casual T-shirt, shorts, and bright blue socks, Cat says to me, “Do you have any other socks you can wear?” I determined the socks were the most appropriate for the occasion and wore them anyway. My grandparents met in Colorado, and while my grandmother was not interested in dating my grandfather at first, she agreed to go on a date with him because he had a sports car. Their first date was at Lookout Mountain in Golden, where my grandma swears he almost drove her off the mountain, but the rest was history. On this day, Cat and I drove up Lookout Mountain, parked at the trailhead, and started our hike. 200 feet into our hike, Cat stopped me, got on one knee, and asked me to marry her. I was completely surprised! We spent the rest of the evening getting a beer with our friend,d who took some pictures, along with another surprise when we returned home. Our other friends had set up a romantic dinner, where Cat and I got to enjoy our engagement together.

A Nancy Meyers-Inspired Coastal Garden Wedding at the Bride’s Family Home on Cape Cod

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]

Incorporating vibrant color was central to Anne and Will’s design vision. Their palette blended lively shades of fern and moss green, coral, tangerine, and peach, softened by layers of cream, ivory, and a hint of butter yellow. The result was a look that felt both fresh and nostalgic—radiant with warmth and perfectly evocative of a sun-soaked summer on the Cape.

[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]Imagined as a wedding “fit for a Nancy Meyers film,” the day was filled with effortless sophistication, nostalgic charm, and an undercurrent of coastal romance. The couple’s vision combined an English country garden aesthetic with the colorful vibrancy of their favorite destination, the Marbella Club in Spain, resulting in a design story layered with personal meaning and visual delight. [/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]

From Anne, “Will and I first met in high school through mutual friends – we grew up in neighboring towns, Needham and Brookline. I always had a crush on him, but with him attending the University of Vermont and me at the College of Charleston, the timing never quite aligned. We reconnected on my 21st birthday, which happened to be New Year’s Eve (our first kiss during the ball drop was very cute!), and started dating shortly after graduation. We moved to New York City, where we shared our first apartment, and when COVID hit, we took the opportunity to explore new places together, living in Jackson Hole, Lake Tahoe, and LA before eventually settling in Boston. All of that to say, in 2023, Will proposed in Charleston, my favorite city, followed by dinner at our favorite restaurant, Chez Nous.”

The bride wore a breathtaking Emilia Wickstead gown, making several trips to London throughout the year for fittings and final tailoring. The off-the-shoulder silk design, with its elegant long sleeves and fluid lines, exuded a timeless sophistication—effortlessly chic with a hint of royal allure. Perfectly suited to the setting, the gown was complemented by Anne’s most sentimental accessory: her veil, lovingly preserved and passed down from her mother and grandmother. From Anne, “I loved the structure and simplicity of my wedding dress. The neckline and full skirt felt timeless but still modern. It was elegant without feeling fussy, and it moved beautifully throughout the day. The after-party dress was a joy to create (with David Josef), it went through several iterations before we landed on an ice-blue fabric adorned with a pattern of diamond embellishments. The square neckline, with my wedding day bun and my mother’s tennis necklace, felt very chic!”

Food was a highlight, with a custom menu created by The Catered Affair. Guests sipped Hugo Spritzes and enjoyed gougères, foie gras, and tuna tartare during cocktail hour, followed by a three-course dinner under a clear-top tent. Honoring Anne’s family history with Prince Pasta, the first course featured spring pea and ricotta ravioli, followed by a filet of beef entrée. Dessert was a three-tiered wedding cake from Montilio’s Bakery, intricately piped and alternating between vanilla and chocolate tuxedo flavors.

[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]The wedding was designed to evoke nostalgia while highlighting the property’s most stunning features: the architecture, manicured rose gardens, and panoramic ocean views. The tent was strategically placed over an elevated floor above the pool, seamlessly integrating into the home’s layout while maximizing the vistas.

A “foyer” tent served as an entryway to the reception, draped in tangerine, ivory, and olive green striped fabric, with a bold orange lantern pendant hanging above an escort card table featuring a striking green-and-white striped linen and a statement floral arrangement. The entryway created an immediate impact, transporting guests to the Marbella Club through the use of luxurious fabrics, coastal views, and curated lighting.

Inside the main tent, soft ivory draping provided an elegant, elevated finishing touch, while strategically placed trees and greenery—both behind the band stage and around the space—brought the outdoors inside. Vibrant floral arrangements punctuated every table, complementing the bright and cheerful color palette of coral, peach, pinks, greens, and touches of cream and yellow. A 360-degree bar on the patio allowed guests to enjoy refreshments from all angles, encouraging mingling and a sense of flow throughout the space.

Every detail, from the choice of linens and furniture to the placement of floral arrangements and lighting, was intentionally curated to create a cohesive design story—one that was at once nostalgic, romantic, and vividly inspired by Anne and Will’s love of the Marbella Club aesthetic.[/field]

[field title=”Special Detail #2″]

From Anne, “The house itself was the most sentimental element of the wedding. Built in 1927, it’s been in my family for generations, and celebrating in the backyard, with guests arriving through the front door, felt deeply personal. That sense of heritage carried through in many of the details. I wore my great-great-great-grandmother’s veil from 1875, originally made in Italy, along with sapphire and diamond Edwardian earrings from my grandmother. The cake knife, made in England in 1870, was a wedding gift to my mother and has now been used across generations. We wove subtle nods to family history throughout the design as well. The orange tones used across the wedding, from florals to the printed materials, were inspired by my great-great-grandmother’s trumpet vine, which still climbs the back door of the house. The same motif appeared on our menus and schedule inserts, tying everything together. Other heirlooms found their way into the celebration in smaller, meaningful ways. Our cake topper was from my grandparents’ wedding, and for the rehearsal dinner, I wore a Priscilla of Boston dress that was my mother’s high school graduation dress from 1979. Will wore his grandfather’s salmon Brooks Brothers sport coat that Thursday evening. For the after-party, we even repurposed my great-grandmother’s demitasse cups as cigarette holders – a fun, sentimental touch. We also used my grandfather’s 1939 MG T-Type throughout the weekend, driving it to the rehearsal dinner and welcome party and leaving it out front as guests arrived.”

A Refined Maui Celebration in Soft Neutrals and Natural Texture

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]

Colors: White, Green, Blue, Tan. The palette was drawn from the natural surroundings of Maui. Soft sand, sun-bleached driftwood, and warm stone formed the foundation. Layered whites echoed clouds and delicate garden blooms, while hints of palm green and sky blue added dimension. The overall effect was calm, airy, and organic, with a focus on natural textures and tonal variation rather than bold contrast.

[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

From Couture Events: “Our design for Cassie and Peter was classic and refined with subtle Maui-inspired elements. The floral palette combined soft garden blooms like ranunculus and lisianthus with tropical varieties such as orchids and tulip anthurium. The ceremony took place oceanfront on Maui at the breathtaking Olowalu Plantation House, framed by the island’s natural beauty. The design was kept minimal and romantic, featuring all-white ground florals with tropical textures. Guests were seated on wooden benches, with white umbrellas offering soft shade — a clean, natural aesthetic that allowed the setting to shine. For their reception, bistro lights and woven mini pendants created a warm, intimate atmosphere over a mix of round and long tables. Couture Events used a combination of white tabletops and wood accents, upholstered chairs, and woven chargers to bring in texture. Each place setting was finished with a single Thai orchid and custom paper goods from Swell Press for a clean, modern vibe. A relaxed lounge area was thoughtfully styled near the bar, featuring white upholstered seating, natural wood accents, and softly glowing fire tables. The inviting setup offered guests a comfortable place to gather, perfectly balancing the more structured dining layout.

A Weekend Designed for Their Guests. The festivities began with a sunset sail aboard the ShangriLa, where guests dressed in all-white enjoyed ocean views and golden-hour breezes as they toasted to the weekend ahead. The following afternoon, the group gathered for a beachfront welcome party at Ulu Kitchen at The Westin Ka’anapali Resort and Spa, where guests mingled over local bites, tropical cocktails, and live music by Tad Jennings, a beloved talent from Oʻahu. As the sun dipped below the horizon, the evening set a warm, joyful tone for the celebration to come — casual, vibrant, and unmistakably Maui.

An Elegant, Cheeky Garden Wedding at Marble House Inspired by Palm Beach Ease

The palette centered around soft pinks and fresh greens, accented with creamy neutrals and natural wood. Hydrangeas, garden roses, and seasonal blooms carried the colors throughout. The most meaningful detail? The hydrangeas came straight from the bride’s mother’s garden.

Favors were mini bottles of Vermont maple syrup, a wink at both the local setting and the groom’s infamous Hinge profile photo documenting his love for pancakes. A custom Art Nouveau-style save-the-date, framed at the bar, paid homage to the venue and doubled as artwork for their home.

[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]The Marble House gardens, built in 1815, set the tone for a day that felt historic yet deeply personal. The ceremony itself needed little more than the venue’s natural beauty: cascading marble staircases, lush late-summer blooms, and a sweeping view of the garden terraces. The bride, an opera singer and attorney who grew up just minutes away from the property, made her entrance from the very top of the staircase with a cathedral-length veil trailing behind her. A breathtaking, dramatic moment that felt straight out of a scene in a European garden. Adding even more meaning, some of the hydrangeas came directly from her mother’s garden, and her mother arranged one of the urn displays at the ceremony site herself.[/field]

Inspiration for the design started with hydrangeas. The same white blooms from the bride’s family home that blush into pink as the season shifts, echoed perfectly in the Marble House gardens. From there, the couple layered in nods to English garden parties, French country aesthetics, Palm Beach cheekiness, chinoiserie, and even touches of grand millennial charm. The reception carried these elements into a tent filled with patterned tablecloths, rattan lampshades, and long rows of lush garden-inspired centerpieces in pinks, whites, and greens. Guests dined by candlelight under trees brought inside the tent, with fluted hurricanes, cut-crystal glassware, and playful disco balls adding sparkle to the evening.

A Festive Welcome and a Regal White Wedding at a 15th-Century Italian Villa

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]

For the welcome dinner, we opted for a vibrant palette of colours, perfectly suited for the garden setting. I chose to incorporate red florals into my hair to complement my Italian floral dress, and we also featured plenty of red blooms in the décor. To enhance the festive atmosphere, we had singers performing tarantella and fresh pizza cooked on-site in a pizza oven. On the wedding day, we primarily utilized white tones to ensure the stunning villa in the background remained the focal point.

[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

Our vision was to seamlessly blend the setting of the 15th-century villa with the beauty of the Italian countryside and my chosen lace, regal dress. I loved the villa’s courtyard, so we chose it for dinner, opting for round tables to encourage conversation among guests. I aimed for a fun and lively atmosphere during dinner, which led us to our amazing host, George. He was truly extraordinary, effortlessly juggling two languages. We had our first dance midway through the dinner, allowing us to transition into a joyful celebration with everyone right afterward. We also selected a separate location for the cake cutting, where we planned a surprise fireworks display.

[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]

Each year, we spend our family vacation in Croatia, a place that has been a cherished part of my life since childhood. This spot holds a special place in my heart, and once Sandro and I started dating, he began joining us on these trips. Last year, he asked my father for his blessing to propose. My dad kept the secret, not telling anyone. Then one evening, as we strolled along the beach where I grew up, under the moonlight with the sound of waves crashing, he asked me if I would marry him.

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]My wedding dress (Monique Lhuillier) was a very big highlight. I envisioned something traditional and heritage-inspired, crafted from lace. The moment I tried on my dress, I fell in love—it was extravagantly magnificent, with a regal essence. Showcasing a unique chandelier lace sleeve, a low V-neckline, and an A-line silhouette without any heavy folds at the waist. We decided to shorten the train to make it more practical and added a bustle that created a seamless transition, giving the dress a whole new look. To complement the intricate details at the back, I chose a sheer veil that wouldn’t overpower the design. The dress was in its original colour, featuring a peach hue on the base layers that beautifully matched the villa. We also lengthened the collar to accentuate my neck, which I adored.[/field]

[field title=”Food & Drink”]

The food was provided by the villa, and we chose local Tuscan options, a lot of meat. For the welcome dinner, we opted for a pizza, which was a hit.

[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

Villa Mangiacane features a stunning terracotta hue, and since dinner was set to take place in the courtyard, we opted for a minimalistic floral decor. We chose predominantly white blooms, accented with soft peach tones and a lot of greenery to enhance the outdoor setting. The floral arrangements on each table were kept relatively low to avoid overshadowing the chandeliers hanging above, which added a beautiful touch and elevated the overall ambiance. I particularly liked the stairs, so we decided to decorate the staircase with florals too, which created an incredible atmosphere around our sweetheart table. We truly felt like in a pool of flowers. The décor of the church was truly remarkable, highlighted by a large half arch at the entrance, which we also adorned in white. Our talented florist transported the flowers from the church to the villa, where we repurposed them to enhance the cake-cutting area.

[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]

Our cake followed a cherished family tradition. In my family, the cake topper is passed down from the bride’s wedding to her grandchildren’s wedding. I ordered mine online and sewed a miniature version of my dress for it. It was adorable and added a sweet, personal touch to the day.

[/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]For our first dance, we chose “Sapore di Sale,” a song that holds deep value for us. It was played during my first trip to Italy, where Sandro first told me he loved me. I also surprised my father with a father-daughter dance to “Everybody Loves Somebody,” a song we had danced to a week before in San Marco Square, in Venice.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]

It was important to me that my father walk me down the aisle, while Sandro wanted to honour Italian tradition by having his mother accompany him. A week before the wedding, during a tour of Italy with my family, we chose the music for our entrances. We chose “La Califfa” for my walk and “Gabriel’s Oboe” for Sandro. On the day, as I stood hidden near the church, hearing Sandro’s entrance moved me to tears; it was the most meaningful moment.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]To incorporate a piece of my heritage, my grandmother brought a traditional Karavay bread, which was presented before dinner. Sandro and I each took a piece to determine who would be the “boss” in the family. It was a special moment, and our Italian guests were fascinated by the tradition.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]

We also added personal touches to the stationery. The menu featured a fresco from the villa’s main entrance, with gold details that impressed those who recognized it. Our tables were named after cities where we had shared special memories, each waccompanied bya photo and a story explaining its significance. I loved how this detail made the day feel even more personal.

A Sicilian Summer Meets English Garden Romance in a Backyard Estate Wedding

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]White, blue, yellow[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

Amelia had dreamed of getting married in her backyard since she was a child. So, when it came time to plan her wedding, only one venue would suffice: her parents’ lush garden estate! Together, they envisioned an enchanting summer celebration that blended the romantic charm of the Sicilian countryside with the timeless elegance of an English garden — and their big day certainly fit the bill.

[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]During a night out, Amelia was out with friends when she walked into Apartment 26A and immediately started crushing on the tall guy she encountered inside. They took a few selfies and chatted a bit, but they ignored the obvious chemistry between them. Thanks to their mutual friends, their paths crossed several times a year — but the two always skirted around the connection they both felt. Five years after meeting, Amelia decided that it was time to ask Brendan out once and for all. She sent him a text at midnight on New Year’s, asking him on a date. He agreed to it immediately. After their first date, they knew there was no going back! One year later, Brendan got down on his knee and asked Amelia to marry him while enjoying a weekend away in Cape Cod.[/field]

A Baby Blue, White, and Gold Wedding of Refined Joy at The Wimbish House

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]

Our colors were baby blue, white, and gold — a combination that felt timeless yet fresh. We loved the richness and depth of blue paired with the classic elegance of gold. These tones carried through our florals, linens, and reception decor for a cohesive, elevated look.

[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

We wanted our wedding to feel elegant and romantic with a sophisticated modern touch. Our goal was to create a welcoming, up-tempo atmosphere — where guests could feel both classy and comfortable enough to mix, mingle, and truly enjoy themselves. Every detail was designed to balance refinement with warmth, giving the day an effortlessly elevated feel. We wanted the reception at The Wimbish House to feel like a modern theater — simple, elegant, and grand. The design featured crisp white and gold details, monogrammed napkins and cups, and soft uplighting that added warmth and depth to the space. The result was a celebration that felt both timeless and lively — perfectly suited to our vision of refined joy.

[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]

Our love story began with a leap of faith. From separate states, we both found ourselves in the DC area, each navigating new chapters in life. We both took a chance and joined a dating app —Hinge. Little did we know, fate was already at work. Within days, our paths crossed online. What started as casual conversations quickly became something much deeper. After weeks of laughter and phone calls, we decided to meet in person. That first date was nothing short of magical. From the moment we locked eyes, there was an undeniable spark, which was something neither of us had ever experienced before. Three beautiful years later, filled with love, growth, and unforgettable moments, Mario knelt on one knee and asked Jessica the question that would change our lives forever. The day after their fourth anniversary, they tied the knot and had the wedding of their dreams. They are elated to write the next chapter of our story together.

A Luminous, Heritage-Rich Celebration of Love at the Claustro de Sor Juana in Mexico City

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]

A white/green color palette. It was designed to feel timeless and luminous; a refined base that allowed the natural warmth of candlelight, the historic venue, and the florals to come alive.

[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

Andie and Ryan’s wedding was conceived as a celebration of heritage, elegance, and emotional connection. Set in the heart of Mexico City, the design balanced architectural grandeur with intimate warmth. Every detail was intentional, from the candlelit arches of the Claustro de Sor Juana to the sculptural florals that framed each space. The vision was to create a sophisticated atmosphere where family and friends could gather, celebrate, and honor the legacy of love that shaped the couple’s story. It was an event where luxury met soul, blending couture styling, world-class production, and heartfelt narrative into one cohesive experience.

[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]

For Andrea “Andie” Moreno and Ryan McGuigan, what began as a spontaneous meeting at a fall gathering in Los Angeles quickly unfolded into a romance that spanned countries and culminated in a deeply personal and visually breathtaking celebration in Mexico City. Introduced by mutual friends in late 2021, the pair met during a night of live music at the Penmar Golf Course. Andie, days away from leaving LA to reset in Mexico City, wasn’t looking for love. But Ryan, instantly captivated, asked her brother-in-law if she was single and whether he might ask her out. With a bit of encouragement, he made his move. A few weeks, two already-planned dates, and one whirlwind connection later, a long-distance chapter began. It didn’t last long. Within six months, Andie was back in LA and fully in love. Almost two years later, on a rainy morning in the home they shared, Ryan, amously no fan of hiking, planned one. When Andie pushed back, he stepped into the bathroom, took a breath, and emerged to propose in the living room. She said yes instantly. A few weeks later, the couple had chosen their wedding destination: the city that held her family, her memories, and soon, their marriage.

The celebration overflowed with unexpected delights: a carajillo and espresso martini bar (complete with popsicles) by Carino Mio, a rooftop surprise filled with balloons and 3D glasses and light up headgear, and the unforgettable Calavera Mezcal Bar, featuring six signature cocktails and the infamous “Wheel of Death”- a daring game that challenged guests to take triple shots, taste scorpions, or endure electric shocks.

The groom and his mother shared a heartfelt dance to James Taylor’s “How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved by You),” followed by the couple’s electric first dance to Love Affair’s “Everlasting Love, paying homage to one of their favorite films: Belfast, and the ggroom’sIrish heritage. In one of the most emotional moments of the night, as the bride no longer had her father for their planned dance, the entire Peralta family—Mauricio’s side—rose to surround her on the dance floor. Together, they honored him by dancing to Roy Orbison’s “You Got It”—the song he had picked out just for them. The family then invited everyone to join, officially opening the dance floor with a flood of love, unity, and celebration. As the clock struck 1 a.m., DJ BEP took over the decks, remixing songs from the disco era to Afro house of today, and the celebration continued until 5 a.m., with three more rounds of foo:; esquites, tacos de cochinita, including a full breakfast or chilaquiles served to keep the crowd fueled.

[field title=”Special Detail #3″]

Their wedding in Mexico City was always meant to be a vibrant celebration of love, heritage, and unity. What began as a meticulously planned three-day fête evolved into something far deeper: a beautiful tribute to love, family, and legacy. On March 26th, one day before festivities were set to kick off, the father of the bride, Mauricio Moreno Peralta, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly. There were over 350 guestswhot had traveled to Mexico City from over 20 countries to celebrate. What was the couple supposed to do? Andie chose to move forward with the wedding in an extraordinary act of strength, love, and resilience. Her father, Maurici,o was a proud “chilango,” a lifelong resident of Mexico City hailing from the influential Peralta family. As the couple’s eyes & ears on the ground, Mauricio had curated every detail of the weekend; infusing his trademark joy, generosity, and impeccable taste, alongside wedding planner Lucero Alvarez. He had poured his heart & soul into planning an event to honor his daughter, and Mauricio spent the preceding two months in giddy excitement with the date approaching. As hard as it would be for Andie, she knew that moving forward with the wedding was what her father would have wanted. Andie carried herself with grace and determination in the face of unimaginable heartbreak. She honored his memory not through sorrow, but through celebration. She kept his spirit alive with every step down the aisle, every laugh, and every tear. Andie turned what could have been a weekend of mourning into a powerful tribute to love and legacy. “Dancing it out,” as she so bravely vowed, became more than a gesture; it was a testament to the bond between a daughter and her father. To the values Mauricio instilled in her and to the light he brought into her life. The celebration on March 29th transcended grief. It was beautiful, moving, and unforgettable, filled with unparalleled energy and love; just as Mauricio would have wanted.

A Three-Day Amalfi Coast Celebration Layered in Color, Romance, and Italian Riviera Style

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]

We were lucky enough to have a 3-day event and were intentional with our styling for each day, wanting to bring a new vibe to every different moment. For our Welcome event, we wanted our guests to feel like they were in an Italian market and used plenty of bright colours representative of the beautiful,l fresh produce you would find in Italy. We asked our guests to dress in all white for our Welcome, whilst Tom & I wore a soft romantic hue of blue. We thought this allowed the venue styling to really pop! For our Wedding day, we asked guests to come in colour, perfectly complementing the summer weather on the Amalfi Coast. Our Wedding Ceremony was styled in beautiful soft whites & neutrals mixed with pops of green, which paired well with the colour of Tom’s suit and the bridal party outfits. Heading into our Wedding Reception, the colour palette turned slightly moodier, where we incorporated more burgundy and deeper purple tones into the white & green tones. These colours worked wonderfully in Villa Cimbrone’s Crypt, bringing warmth to the space. We were lucky to celebrate our Wedding Recovery at One Fire Beach Club in Praiano, featuring the iconic orange daybeds set against the breathtaking blue ocean, which gave a great colour palette for our Recovery outfits and personalised Wedding stationery.

[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

We always envisioned our wedding day to be romantic, cohesive, and elegant. These 3 words were at the forefront of our minds the entire wedding process, from booking our venues to deciding on which drinks we would serve at the bar to what our bridal party would wear.

[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]

Tom popped the question while we were in the Bahamas! I thought I had every detail and day of the trip planned out perfectly – until Tom surprised me. He quietly cancelled the reservation I had made at a local restaurant and arranged a romantic private dinner for two in a stunning, secluded garden. It was intimate, breathtaking, and absolutely perfect for us!

I got married in the stunning ‘Clover’ dress by Liz Martinez. It was the first Wedding dress I ever tried on, and when I tried on others, my mind kept taking me back to the Clover dress. It was perfection, and suited the romantic ambience of Villa Cimbrone perfectly.

[/field]
[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]

At first, I wanted the bridesmaids to wear dresses in different colours and textures, but it was really challenging to find four beautiful dresses from the same Summer season, at a reasonable price, that complemented each other perfectly. During my search, I discovered the stunning Aje Soundscape dress and had all the girls try it on. The colour was so chic and perfectly matched the groomsmen’s suits, fitting seamlessly with our overall wedding weekend theme of ‘Something Blue.’ It felt like it was meant to be!

[/field]
[field title=”Groomsman Attire”]

The groomsmen wore matching P Johnson suits, while our groomswoman’s dress was tailored from the same fabric as the boys’ suits. The cohesiveness of the bridal party’s attire perfectly matched our vision.

[field title=”Food & Drink”]

Food & Drink For our Wedding Welcome Event, we envisioned a real traditional Italian market-style celebration, complete with vibrant food stalls offering various Italian bites from freshly made pasta, wood-fired pizza, fresh cut prosciutto and mortadella, plus fresh mozzarella balls. It was such a fun way to kick off the wedding weekend. For our Wedding reception dinner, we opted for a delicious tomato pasta – you really can’t go wrong with such a classic dish in Italy! All guests then dined on a beef main, followed by a divine dessert buffet by the dancefloor. For drinks on our Wedding Day, guests had the choice of 2 different spritzes available – drinks we had playfully named ourselves. This was, of course, seen in addition to the standard beer/wine/prosecco offering, but I think the spritzes were a real favourite in the Italian heat! Wedding Cake We opted for a traditional Italian millefoglie for our wedding cake, which was the perfect choice for a wedding dessert on the Amalfi coast, with pure bliss in every bite! We cut the cake by the dancefloor just after our first dance, it was perfect!

[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]The brief for our florist was elegance without compromise. The florals were expensive, but they really do enhance the ceremony space & a table setting so well. We opted for white, soft pink & green for our Ceremony, and then introduced burgundy into the colour palette for our Reception.[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]

The cake was designed in-house by Villa Cimbrone’s chefs, and was a divine traditional Italian millefoglie – YUM!

We had to incorporate our cheeky dog Chardy into our Wedding day, given we couldn’t have her there on the weekend, sowe designed napkins for the Wedding reception and cups for the Wedding recovery with her face on them! Everyone loved it!

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]

Wow, this is tough… so hard to narrow it down! Our favourite moment as a couple would be our first look. We were deliberating having a first look for ages, but it ended up being so special, and we’d highly recommend it to other couples considering it. It allowed us to savour such a special moment just us.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]

Enjoy the process. Splurge on a Wedding planner, Photographer, Videographer & great DJ. It will be worth it.

A Tropical-Kissed Wedding Blending Family Legacy and Colombian Spirit

[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

From the Bride: “Our wedding was layered with meaning and family history. We chose to celebrate at the very same location—now a newly opened hotel—where my parents were married 28 years ago, creating a beautiful sense of continuity across generations. My husband, who is from Cartagena, Colombia, wanted the day to reflect the vibrancy of his tropical hometown, so we incorporated orchids and lush tropical florals that brought the setting to life. One of the most special parts was having his family travel all the way from Colombia to be with us, and my grandmother—who had just turned 90—joined in the celebration. The day became a joyful blend of cultures, traditions, and loved ones, making it uniquely and unmistakably ours.”

[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]

From the Bride: Our engagement was nothing short of magical — and the best surprise of all. What I thought was a work dinner for Juan turned out to be the night he proposed. When we arrived, instead of a business meeting, we were greeted by the sight of a beautifully set private dinner on the beach. The sun was beginning to set, painting the sky in shades of orange and pink as the waves rolled gently onto the shore. In that perfect moment, he got down on one knee and asked the question that changed our lives forever. Afterward, we enjoyed a romantic candlelit dinner surrounded by flowers and soft lights, with a violinist playing softly under a canopy of stars. It was the most incredible surprise — and the start of our forever.

The culinary experience beautifully reflected the weekend’s blend of classic charm, modern sophistication, and tropical flair. Guests were greeted by a seating chart wall adorned with engraved coconuts, a playful nod to the couple’s coastal setting and the groom’s Caribbean roots. The dinner menu showcased an elegant balance between local coastal flavors and timeless favorites. Each course was thoughtfully crafted to complement the setting, refined yet inviting, with just the right hint of tropical indulgence that perfectly mirrored the celebration’s aesthetic.

[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

The design seamlessly transitioned from airy coastal romance to modern, moody sophistication. The ceremony featured a lush blend of white and soft pink blooms paired with palm fronds and Monstera leaves, framed by the dreamy blue waters of the Gulf. As guests entered the reception, the atmosphere shifted into a rich and intimate setting. Floor-to-ceiling draping in deep forest green created a dramatic backdrop, while the warm, ambient lighting by Fyerfly Productions added a sense of depth and glow. The custom-wrapped dance floor served as the visual centerpiece of the evening. The floral story continued through the reception with tropical white orchids and roses surrounded by sculptural greenery.

[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]The St. Regis Longboat Key created a timeless confection that beautifully complemented the day’s refined aesthetic. The three-tiered white cake was adorned with cascading white orchids and creamy roses, reflecting the floral story woven throughout the celebration. Its simple and elegant design captured the essence of the weekend, combining classic charm with a touch of tropical romance.[/field]

From the Bride: Meaningful Details: Every element of our wedding was designed to feel personal, romantic, and full of life. I wore my grandmother’s jewelry — a timeless and sentimental way to honor her memory and feel her presence with me throughout the day. Our menu was a reflection of us: elegant yet fun, filled with our favorite flavors and an incredible dessert display that indulged our shared sweet tooth. To honor Juan’s coastal upbringing in Colombia, we incorporated custom coconuts and a vibrant hora loca that brought an explosion of color, energy, and laughter to the dance floor. The day felt like a perfect blend of love, culture, and celebration — a true reflection of who we are and the life we’ve built together.

The theme for their rehearsal dinner and welcome party was ‘summer garden party’. The design featured a multi-colored floral tablecloth, potted herbs, and vibrant bud vases on the communal dining table set for their immediate family and wedding party. The most unique piece of the design was the strawberries that were organically placed on the table. This was the most special nod to the bride’s late Grandfather, who spent every summer picking gallons (and she means gallons) of fresh strawberries from local farms in our area.

Ensemble Prairies: A Quietly Romantic Love Letter to the Canadian Plains

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”The Inspiration”]

An homage to the quiet beauty of the Canadian prairies. This editorial was created to celebrate the understated elegance of a landscape too often overlooked. The prairies are known for their vastness, their simplicity, and their strength, and we intended to honor that beauty in its truest form. Set among open pastures and wild grasses, Ensemble Prairies tells the story of love rooted in place. Horses grazed quietly in the distance, golden light poured across the fields, and every detail was chosen to feel both grounded and refined. We drew inspiration directly from the land itself. Local florals reflected the tones of late-summer prairie blooms: soft ochres, faded blush, and earthy greens. A prairie-inspired menu echoed the harvest season, with notes of warmth and abundance. The cake, adorned in delicate blossoms, mirrored the organic movement of wildflowers swaying in the breeze. Our bride and groom, both from the prairies, embody the authenticity and humility of those who call this region home. They are as beautiful in spirit as they are in form—a reflection of what this landscape cultivates: grace, resilience, and quiet strength. Every vendor was chosen with the same intention. Local artists, florists, planners, and creatives came together to build something that felt deeply connected to our roots. The result is a visual love letter to this place—a celebration of artistry born from community, and of beauty found in simplicity. Ensemble Prairies is a reminder that you don’t have to look far to find extraordinary beauty. Sometimes, it’s right where you are; growing wild in the fields, carried on the wind, and waiting to be seen.

The Wtoo Charlotte 11053 is a vintage-inspired A-line gown with a strapless sweetheart neckline, delicate Chantilly lace bodice, basque waist, and a flowing chapel-length train that exudes timeless romance. The Martina Liana 1806 offers a sleek, fashion-forward silhouette in high-shine sandwashed silk satin, featuring a strapless sweetheart neckline, draped corset detailing, and a minimalist row of fabric-covered buttons down the back, perfect for the modern bride. Finally, the Essence of Australia D3636 is a soft, ethereal A-line gown crafted in chiffon with a plunging notched neckline, pleated wrapped bodice, and detachable off-the-shoulder sleeves, flowing into a delicate skirt with a subtle side slit and dramatic train. Each gown brings a unique texture, silhouette, and style to the editorial, creating a diverse yet cohesive bridal story.
