The vibe was: Fairytale—castle walls, floral arches, champagne towers, and all around elegance with personalized touches. Fort Lovrijenac (the reception Fortress on the edge of a cliff on the Adriatic Sea) carried layers of personal meaning. Inspired by Andrew’s tarot reading in Tulum, the couple transformed tradition with a one-of-a-kind guest book made of gilded tarot cards. Guests encountered thoughtful tokens everywhere, pocket crystals, custom matchboxes, and engraved Palo Santo sticks inscribed with phrases from the ceremony, such as “All of me loves all of you” and “Hey Baby, I think I wanna marry you.” Every guest also received a heartfelt handwritten note sealed with wax, a keepsake that felt both intimate and grand. Chandeliers illuminated two sweeping banquet tables crowned by a dramatic sweetheart table. It was glamorous, idyllic, and like a modern fairytale. For Veronika and Andrew, the journey was as important as the destination. They designed their celebration as a progression across multiple settings,s inviting guests to walk through Dubrovnik’s storied walls, past arches and stonework steeped in history, before unveiling the grand reveal of the fortress. With a string quartet performing the Game of Thrones theme, the ceremony felt like stepping into another time. True to their backgrounds in film and production, every detail was planned with imagination and artistry. The celebrations began the evening before the wedding, when Veronika set the tone in an embellished Elliatt dress styled with a sheer neck scarf, Dior pearl-and-crystal earrings, white Louboutin heels, and oversized Gucci sunglasses. The look was a nod to old-Hollywood icons, equal parts glamorous and playful. For the ceremony, she stepped into a signature Pronovias gown discovered at the brand’s flagship in Beverly Hills. The moment she slipped into the gown, she knew it was the ONE. With its lace, crystal embellishments, and soft layers of tulle, the design felt like it had been created for a castle setting. A Vera Wang embroidered veil, Jimmy Choo shoes, Soleil gloves, and a delicate petticoat completed the look. The jewelry remained timeless and personal: diamond earrings from Happy Jewelers, the same jeweler where the couple chose their engagement and wedding bands. In the lead-up to the wedding, Azazie hosted a special fitting where each bridesmaid tried on different silhouettes to find the one they loved most. The celebration began on Friday, June 6th, with a private walking tour through Dubrovnik’s Old Town. That evening, friends and family gathered at Fratello’s Prosecco Bar on the edge of the Adriatic Sea, where the couple welcomed them with Aperol Spritzes adorned with custom #DashToTheCastle stirrers. Light bites, signature meat and cheese plates, and fresh seafood were served. For the wedding, Signature cocktails like the “Vowtini” and “Espresso Ever After” flowed until 2 am. Guests enjoy custom menus, choosing between meat, pescatarian, and vegetarian signature Croatian dishes. Startersincludee Octopus salad, Caprese salad with fresh basil, or Dalmatian smoked ham, accompanied by a selection of local cheese,h olives, driedtomatoes,s and figs. Entrees were Sea bass fillet with grilled vegetables and roasted potatoes, Chicken stuffed with panceta and mozzarella, roasted potatoes and grilled vegetables entree, or Vegetable risotto. The dessert table overflowed, as seen in the photographs; Cheesecake, chocolate cake, apple strudel, fruit, and fruit salad. Raspberry vanilla wedding cake paired with Coffee and tea. The weekend concluded on Sunday, June 8th, with a private takeover of Copacabana Beach Club. Guests sipped cocktails, jetskied across the sparkling Adriatic. Food included home-style barbecue, French fries, pizzas, salads, and vegetarian burgers. (The perfect hangover food)

Inside the fortress, chandeliers scattered light over two long royal banquet tables, with a jaw dropping sweetheart table at the center; white roses cascading with green accents. When they walked in, they felt like I had stepped into Veronikas Pinterest board; she compiled her dream wedding inspiration into a 29-page vision deck that her planners seamlessly brought to life.

She fell in love with this location way back then, but could never dream it would one day also be her wedding venue. For the couple, who are fans of Game of Thrones, it was also a playful easter egg to host their celebration in the real-life King’s Landing. [/field]

Finally, Veronika and Andrew shared their most special moment, which was tied to a surprise duet he planned for her. “Jamie Miller and Justin Jesso performed the song I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing, and the serenade echoed across the night sky, accompanied by the guests’ voices singing along,” Andrew highlights, adding that the video went viral with over 10 million views on Instagram and TikTok. “It was epic, emotional, and completely ours,” Veronika recalls. “The fact that our two best friends were singing made the moment even more special.” The moment carried an added weight of meaning: not only was it the soundtrack from one of Andrew’s favorite films (Armageddon), but the couple had also attended one of Aerosmith’s final concerts together in Las Vegas, adding to the emotional resonance.

A Romantic Late-Summer Garden Wedding with Desert Rose Hues in Lowcountry

We wanted to start with a simpler, neutral base for my vision. Then we would create visual interest through different design elements such as organic floral shapes, pops of color, patterns, and textures. I wanted these to be reflected in the linens, lounge furniture, glassware,e etc. Again, since we were going for a romantic garden vibe,e I wanted to pull in natural, neutral textures as well. This is where the rattan elements of the chargers, chairs, and lighting came into play. As such, an intimate/romantic garden vibe with a late summer/desert rose color palette was the main driver. When I saw a video of the property of Lowndes Grove online, I immediately knew this was our wedding venue as it hit all of the marks on my list. The venue exudes the exact style and feeling we had been searching for. The option of having a classic, historical home while also being able to utilize the open, airy grounds that overlook the beautiful lowcountry waterfront of the Ashley River was a nno-brainer

[field title=”Proposal Story”]Cole proposed to me at the Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens in Charlotte. He flew in my maid of
honor Katie (who I’ve known since 9th grade) from NYC under the guise of spending a fun
weekend with her. The girls went to a fun brunch that morning while Cole snuck off to go set up
the proposal. After brunch, Katie pointed out that she saw these cool gardens nearby where we
could take some cute pictures together. When we arrived at Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens, we
were directed to walk a certain path by the receptionist on the map she gave us. When we
rounded the corner of the path, I saw a telescope set up with beautiful flower bouquets,
champagne and a charcuterie board. As I was coming to the realization of what was happening, I
walked up to the telescope and looked through the lens. Through it I saw a sign that said “Rachel
will you marry me?” I looked up from the lens with tears in my eyes as Cole popped out of the
bushes (literally) behind me where he was hiding. He then got down on one knee and popped the
question! We both had so much adrenaline and emotion in the moment that we were physically
shaking from happiness. We always tell people we blacked out in that moment! Cole also had his
sister Malena drive to Charlotte to join us, who was also hiding around the corner. After we took
some engagement photos at the gardens and enjoyed some champagne, we celebrated further
with our friends back in the city who threw us a surprise party![/field]

said were phenomenal: the food and drinks and the guest watercolor portraits. This made us
ecstatic to hear as we both are big foodies. The food and service from PPHG just blew us away
in every way possible throughout the whole process.

Speaking personally for ourselves, walking into the reception and seeing the floral chandelier was the tear-jerking, draw-dropping moment. I wanted to make sure we utilized the tent space as much as possible and avoided negative space. This really became a focal point in the design aspect of the reception area, drawing the eye to the dancefloor. The romantic, soft feeling created by the natural shapes of the florals and the intimate atmosphere provided by the lighting of the candles lining the tables was just perfect throughout the entire evening.

We are both big cake lovers, so having a wedding cake was a must! We wanted a simple design on the outside of our cake, given that we knew we would have a floral crown surrounding it on the table. Our cake was three tiers; we would be able to take the top tier for ourselves to freeze and have that traditional moment at the one-year mark of our marriage. We chose an almond-flavored cake as the base, with a raspberry filling for a little fun twist, and topped it with a vanilla almond buttercream icing. We both love raspberries, so when we saw that Ashley Bakery had a raspberry filing we both fell for it immediately!

Chapman Studio bridal dress. It was the very first dress I picked, and as soon as I tried it on, I knew it was “the” dress. I didn’t look any further or try any other dresses on – it was exactly what I wanted.

Belle De Jour Floral provided the florals, and they did an AMAZING job! The flowers were definitely the highlight of the wedding – they went over and beyond my expectations. The colors, style, and types of florals were gorgeous, especially against the background of the ocean. I could not have been happier with them. I just wish I could have brought that arch home! Cindy Tang from Dear Blanc Events was my wedding coordinator, and she was the absolute best. She took care of all other décor and ambiance, and it was beautiful. She knew exactly what I was looking for and went above and beyond it.

Besides their talent and professionalism, they were all kind and so easy to work with, which made the process so much less stressful and so much more fun for me. I could not recommend all of them more. The wedding had the same feel as if we had been planning it for a year. It was perfect, and I’m really grateful to each of them. 3. Parc Broekhuizen, Leersum The Venue: Parc Broekhuizen has a long history, going back to at least 1408, when the first known occupant (Tyman van Zuylen) is recorded. It was recognized as a ridderhofstad (a kind of Dutch manor or knight’s house) in 1629. The current main building’s “form” (i.e., its architectural style) dates from around 1810 when it was rebuilt, replacing earlier structures. The design is a mix: the historic structure has been restored carefully between 2011 and 2016, retaining elements like period fireplaces, decorative murals, Louis-Seize style ceilings, while adding contemporary art, furniture, and modern amenities. Each room is somewhat unique.

We wanted it to feel tactile and layered, full of shimmer and movement, but grounded in natural beauty. Think cascading silks, mother-of-pearl textures, and soft metallic light bouncing off glassware and candlelight. The palette drew inspiration from the sea — ivory, shell, pale gold, and the faintest hints of oyster gray — with textures doing most of the talking. Every detail was chosen to feel discovered rather than designed: ruffled linens that pooled like waves, floral forms that mirrored coral and kelp, and pearls threaded subtly throughout the tablescape. It was coastal romance reimagined — elevated, a little moody, and completely transportive.

For this seaside celebration, First Blush Floral Design + Planning focused on creating something tactile and textural — a tablescape that felt discovered rather than styled. The long tables were draped in blush satin linens that rippled softly in the breeze, their sheen catching the afternoon light like water. Each place setting was surrounded by bud vases handmade from terracotta clay, bringing an earthy, grounding contrast to the soft pastel palette. The bud vases were filled with imported anthurium stems from Holland and hand-painted, iridescent anthuriums from Haus of Stems, paired with lush garden roses from Grace Rose Farm in California. Local hydrangea and wild grasses added fullness and movement, tying the design back to the coastal surroundings. Pearls and oyster shells — some gathered right from the nearby beach — were scattered down the table as a subtle nod to the “shipwrecked gilded age” inspiration, glinting under layers of candlelight. Rentals from Abbey Tent & Party Rentals provided the foundation — natural wood chairs, serpentine tables, and minimalist dinnerware that let the textures take center stage. It was the perfect blend of refinement and ease: soft, sculptural, and unmistakably coastal.

The arrangements on the bar were easily my favorite part of the entire design. We used a pair of vintage urns draped with strands of pearls and filled them with a mix of local hydrangea, soft garden roses, and tropical anthurium — that perfect blend of East Coast romance and editorial edge. I love when we can combine the lushness of a classic garden wedding with the sculptural quality of tropical blooms. It’s such a distinct balance, and it feels very us — grounded in New England but not afraid of a little glamour. One of my favorite behind-the-scenes decisions was swapping our original textured gray linen for this soft blush satin. It was such a small pivot, but it completely shifted the tone of the design. The sheen of the fabric added this dreamy light play that made the tables feel fluid and alive, especially as the day moved toward golden hour. And that light — I’ll never forget it. The temperature was perfect, the sun hit every pearl and petal just right, and everything looked exactly like the digital sketch I’d drafted months before. There’s nothing more satisfying than seeing an idea come to life exactly as you imagined it — maybe even better.

There was a lot of conversation about the handmade terracotta bud vases because they were pricier than typical glass, but they completely elevated the design. The vessels on the table matter just as much as the flowers inside them — especially when you’re working at an editorial or luxury level. The texture, the way they catch the light, the subtle imperfections — that’s what makes the whole scene feel collected and human rather than mass-produced.

Start small, but invest in the right pieces. You don’t need a beachfront estate to pull off this look. You can absolutely recreate the same feeling at home — a few artful vases, some layered textures, and a soft tonal palette can transform even a dinner table into something special. Bud vases are one of those forever pieces you’ll use again and again, whether you’re hosting or styling.

And finally — pearls. Always more pearls. We kept adding them until it felt almost excessive, and that was exactly the point. They brought movement, reflection, and whimsy — ten pounds later, we finally found the right balance. Sometimes restraint is overrated.[/field]

While the bride took a “hire the experts” approach, her sister brought a sharp eye for sourcing — hunting down vintage treasures that became statement pieces throughout the day. She found a vintage Louis Vuitton trunk that we repurposed to hold lace parasols and a tumble of local hydrangea blooms, a sculptural bust that became the centerpiece of our beachside installation, and a pair of gleaming gold seashell vessels that framed the entrance to the tablescape. These finds added a layer of authenticity and old-world charm to the overall design — the kind of pieces you can’t just order new. It was the perfect collaboration: professional planning and floral artistry paired with a collector’s instinct for character and history.

New Year’s 2024: I remember being especially excited for midnight, because I knew that 2024 would bring a proposal! I didn’t know exactly when, but Steve and I both knew we were headed in that direction, and I could hardly wait. Fast forward to February 14th, 2024 – Steve took me out for a Valentine’s Day dinner. That afternoon, I had a hair appointment and asked my stylist to make my hair extra pretty just in case this turned out to be the night. We had a late dinner reservation at one of our favorite places, The Living Room. Throughout dinner, I was a mix of nervous and excited, enjoying the evening while celebrating Valentine’s Day with him. On the way home, I couldn’t help feeling a little bit disappointed, but I was also looking forward to a cozy night on the couch watching a movie with our sweet mini goldendoodle, Sammi. When we walked in the door, we were greeted by a very excited Sammi. I turned around, and suddenly Steve got down on one knee and completely surprised me with a proposal! He explained that he had originally planned to propose during dinner, but since Sammi has always been such a big part of my life, he now wanted her to be part of the proposal too.

An Effortless Desert Garden Celebration with Playful Golf-Inspired Details at Indian Wells Golf Resort

Set on the lawn of Indian Wells Golf Resort with the mountains as a backdrop, this wedding embraced a refined yet effortless design. Long wooden banquet tables and curved chairs anchored the reception, while round tables dressed in light neutral patterned linens introduced subtle texture. Crisp white florals and clusters of candles lined the tables, striking the balance between simplicity and romance. Overhead, a canopy of twinkle lights stretched across the lawn, casting a warm glow as the evening transitioned from golden hour into night. Every element of the day was designed to feel personal, playful, and unforgettable—guests were welcomed with a golf-themed seating chart, personalized golf balls, and custom temporary tattoos that tied back to the couple’s personality and love of the game. After an elegant dinner under the stars, the celebration carried into the pavilion, where In-N-Out burgers were served at 10 p.m., and the DJ and live saxophone kept the dance floor alive. Club Kula light sticks, custom trucker hats, and the most fun group of family and friends kept the party going until 1 am.

Our story starts where it didn’t, at The University of Iowa. For two years, Allie and I were brushing shoulders in Summit, Liner, Tini’s, etc., and miraculously managed to never meet. Against all odds, with having countless mutual friends paired with the fact that we were ballin’ on a budget at the same bars (shoutout Dollar U’s Tuesdays and Thursdays), we were never acquainted. Fast forward to 2018. Via our mutual Cary, IL connections, we ended up at the same Halloween party; naturally, I was dressed as Mermaid Man from Spongebob and she was dressed as Garth from Wayne’s World. She was the best-looking Garth I had ever seen, and after a few exchanged words and more than a few beers,s we both went our separate ways, seemingly never to see each other again. That was until a few weeks later when we bumped into each other at the legendary Trader Todd’s karaoke bar, ar where I sang “All Star” by Smash Mouth, and seemingly crushed it because after that we exchanged numbers and started talking. After talking for less than two days, I informed Allie that I was moving to Nashville, Tennessee, to start a new job for the next 1monthsh; the timing couldn’t have been worse. But like all good Rom-Coms, this story has a happy ending. We continued talking through the move, and on New Year’s Eve, with the push from some friends, we agreed that even though we were going to be long-distance, we wanted this to continue. Any distance was worth it for Allie. While apart,t we learned to time our visits so we never went more than a few weeks at a time without seeing each other. We learned a lot about each other in those 14 months, and when it was all said and done, I moved back to Chicago,o and we were together once again. Years went by, and as the heart grew fonder, so did the certainty of the future of our relationship; and that’s when I decided it was time to pop the question. On a beautiful day in April, I took Allie to Lincoln Park for a walk, as we previously pulled a date stick I had made from the jar to tour the Park. As we got to the bridge and the setting sun glistened on her face, I got on one knee and asked the question I had been waiting for since we first met, “Will You Marry Me?. Luckily, she said yes, and the rest is history.

Tyler Varnell (DJ, piano & sax): Music was one of our biggest priorities — Garrett and I both have such a deep love for it, and we knew we wanted our wedding to feel like one big celebration. Through the grapevine, we discovered Tyler Varnell, and we were immediately sold. Not only is he an incredible DJ and MC, but he also plays both the saxophone and piano — the ultimate all-in-one entertainer. Tyler was truly the highlight of our night. He performed live piano and sax during the ceremony, making it feel like a personal concert, and then completely transformed the reception into the best party we’ve ever had. By the end of the night, he told us he had never seen a dance floor so packed — and while we do have some amazing friends and family, his energy was the real reason no one left the floor. People are still talking about him to this day. Hiring him was hands down the best decision we made.

Golf has always been one of our favorite shared hobbies — since the day we met, we’ve loved traveling together to play new courses. It felt only natural to get married at a country club and one of our favorite courses in Palm Springs. We wanted to weave that part of our story into the design in a subtle, elevated way.

We created a custom seating chart, drink menus, and personalized golf balls as guest favors, which turned out even better than we imagined. The touches felt thoughtful and personal without being over-the-top — the perfect reflection of us as a couple.[/field]

Club Kula: Our venue had an indoor space perfect for an after-hours celebration, so we turned it into “Club Kula” — our own late-night party spot. We served In-N-Out, brought in DJ lighting, string lights, and another dance floor, and handed out custom trucker hats and LED light sticks with the “Club Kula” logo. Temporary Tattoos: I wanted to add something playful and unexpected to our reception, and stumbled upon a bride on TikTok who created a tattoo station for her guests. I instantly loved the idea and decided to make it our own. My friend and I designed a set of custom temporary tattoos that represented our relationship — little icons, sayings, and inside jokes. We set up a “tattoo station” during the reception, and it was an instant hit. By the end of the night, nearly everyone was tatted up, and the photos were hilarious. The Kula Chronicle (attached): Because our wedding was a destination celebration, we wanted to make our guests’ welcome bags feel extra special. I designed a custom newspaper called The Kula Chronicle — complete with our love story, weekend itinerary, fun facts, and photos. It was such a unique touch, and guests absolutely loved it. Seeing everyone post photos of themselves reading it on social media was one of my favorite moments of the weekend.

Reception flowers were low and lush arrangements of white and green hydrangeas (the bride’s favorite!) designed to create an intimate atmosphere for guests to enjoy each other’s company during dinner.

During dinner, Leticia changed into a sleek halter gown by Galia Lahav—an effortlessly chic silhouette that allowed her to move, dance, and celebrate the night in comfort and style. Guests sipped and mingled as the sun dipped behind the Tuscan hills, setting the tone for an evening filled with joy, elegance, and unforgettable flavor. Galateo Catering brought the culinary vision to life with a menu that was as refined as it was delicious. A curated selection of ten hors d’oeuvres was passed around, each a small masterpiece. Guests delighted in brioches with rosemary paté, smoked salmon blinis, warm bignet mignon with truffle and cheese, and mini quiches with Greek feta, olives, and rosemary. Delicate tartlets of veal tonné with Pantelleria capers and quail egg foam with truffle caviar offered rich, savory notes, while crispy fried sage leaves and zucchini flowers added a touch of golden crunch. Rounding out the bites were spicy veal meatballs and mini ravioli stuffed with burrata and pesto—a perfect blend of Tuscan tradition and refined indulgence. For dinner, guests started with a vibrant seabass and salmon ceviche with grapefruit and vegetables, while the vegetarian option featured a delicate tomato water with a burrata quenelle. The second course was a standout: fresh paccheri pasta with saffron cream, confit Pachino tomatoes, and asparagus tips — the perfect summer dish, light yet full of flavor. If there’s ever a time that you don’t want to be bogged down with questions… it’s while you’re planning your wedding. But chances are, you’re going to have a handful of guests checking in with you. Do your best to avoid every guest (and their mama) calling and texting you by providing this info clearly for them. Keep reading for some of the most common questions guests ask and how to handle them!

Can I bring my kids?

This can be such a tough one! Where do you draw the line? Do you feel OK having close family children in attendance (hello adorable flower girl and ring bearer!) but you’d rather not have all of your friends with their little one’s in tow? 9 times of out 10 most guests with kiddos prefer to leave them at home so they can fully enjoy the evening. When it comes down to it, this is your Big Day and you can do what you want, but be prepared for some guests to spring this question on you.

While the obvious solution is to put ‘no kids’ on your wedding invitation, it might not be the vibe your hoping to send when your guests open up that envelope. Here are a couple other ways to say no kiddos allowed:

The way you address is your invitations is a subtle way to get this point across. Address the invite to the adults only, rather than “The Smith Family”. This leaves room for questioning still, so take it a step further with the approach below.

Another option is to include a wedding website link with more details, where you can address that this event is for big kids only. Some positive ways to word it:

“We look forward to celebrating with you! Kick your shoes off and enjoy a relaxing kid-free evening with us.”

“To give all our guests the opportunity to let their hair down and have a good time without having to worry about little eyes and ears, we politely request no children.”

Ceremony Only: “Children are welcome to the ceremony, however to allow all of our guests to enjoy an evening of relaxation, we politely request adult attendance only.”

Can I bring my new bae?

You already had to cut down your guest list and shave off Aunt Suzy and Cousin Jon… but now your college girlfriend wants to bring her new bae—who you’ve never met before? Yikes. While you want each invited guest to have a great time, plus ones can get out of hand if you’ve got a lot of single ladies and gents in attendance.

Just like the no kids announcement, a wedding website is a great place to house this info. If you’d rather not have complete strangers witness your I dos, make sure this is clear.

What should I wear?

Your wedding website is also a great place to put this info! This is especially helpful if your guests will have ample time to themselves before and after wedding events such as a rehearsal or welcome dinner or a farewell brunch.

Extra Steps

Lastly, if you’d rather not be the go-to for guest questions, kindly ask a member of your bridal party if they can help by being the point of contact and if they are OK with you putting their email or phone on your wedding website.

If you do prefer to be the contact, you can also simply list your email only rather than your phone number, which will deter guests from calling or texting you randomly when you’re in the middle of a dress fitting or a cake tasting. No one likes to be interrupted when they’re eating cake!

This is one of the main reasons, as a wedding planner, that I suggest a sampling day to my couples – it’s always worthwhile and a great way to see your wedding vision brought to life!” Jessie: “When Ben first saw the ceremony set up, he said the word that kept coming to mind was ‘heavenly,’ and I agree, it was truly breathtaking. The same can be said for the wedding breakfast and party design. My mouth dropped open when I saw the room for the first time,e and I was speechless. We didn’t really have too much of a vision, but the way our wedding was designed by the team was actually everything I wanted without even knowing it! I still look at our photos and can’t believe that it was our wedding, the design was like something you see on TV or in magazines. “

Jessie shares their romantic proposal story: “Ben proposed to me on the 17th November 2023 at Claridges Hotel in London (an iconic London landmark and one of my bucket list hotels!) It was very low-key, which is what I wanted, seeing that we are both shy and hate attention! We originally had booked to stay at another hotel in Canterbury, but Ben called me a couple of weeks before asking what I thought about staying at Claridges instead, as it was getting close to the festive season, which is the best time of year to see Claridges, plus I had always wanted to stay at Claridges. Of course,e I said yes! He picked me up from work and drove us into London. He is usually quiet; however, looking back, he was way quieter than usual! We had a lovely dinner, but again, looking back, Ben didn’t finish his meal, which is unheard of… I now know why! We went back up to our room after dinner,r and the next moment, Ben was down on one knee. After I said YES, we spent the next couple of hours calling our friends and family to share the wonderful news with them. We spent the following morning in London before going home to my parents, where a small surprise celebration had been planned. It was a wonderful, surreal,l and magical weekend.”

I had tried on about 15 dresses beforehand, and I never had’the feeling’ you are meant to have when you find ‘the one. ‘ However, with my wedding dress, I had that feeling instantly. I didn’t want to take it off, also my mum, mother-in-law, and sisters loved it,t which was really important for me. I felt the dress had enough detail without being too much; the lace on the train and the train itself were my favourite parts. My evening/party dress was from Meshki’s bridal collection. I knew that I wanted something completely different from my daytime gown. I ordered about six different evening options, and again, I knew instantly that once I tried on this dress, it was the one. I loved the sparkle and halter neck, completely opposing the wedding dress. “

The exact style of dress I wanted was there! Myself and my bridesmaids went to their showroom and each one of my girls looked amazing in the dress. My bridesmaids were a range of ages, and the dress worked for each one of them. I couldn’t have been happier with the,m and the girls all feel the same.”

The first one he tried on ended up being the suit he walked away with. We were leaving to go home the next day, so they had it tailored straightaway, and it was waiting for us back at our hotel within a matter of hours.”

We began with canapés in the garden,n including Prawn Tempura with a Tarragon Aioli and a Cheese & Pear Tartlet with a Chilli Grape Chutney. Followed by three-coursese candlelit meal served in the ballroom. Starter: Mushroom Tempura crispy shredded mushroom tempura with nahm jim dressing. Main: Beef Fillet, double potatoes, green asparagus, mushroom purée, truffle juice.s Dessert: Oven Baked Blueberry Cheesecake mix berry compote. Guests were then served Beef sliders, Chicken Slides, and Fish & Chips whilst partying away on the dance floor!

To bring this to life, we combined White Dove roses for a gentle white, Dorchester roses for a delicate blush accent, and Quicksand roses for a refined nude hue. Each rose was carefully reflected to add a luxurious, modern finish. These were styled alongside mophead hydrangeas, elegant white delphiniums, ruffled peonies, and trailing white amaranthus to achieve a graceful, draping effect. In total, more than 5,000 stems were used to create their floral design.”

We all travelled up to the Four Seasons Hampshire after the service. We then enjoyed an intimate dinner together – welcoming our families to the hotel while celebrating our legal marriage. It felt so special to be surrounded by our closest family members in such a beautiful room. I chose a simple white dress from Zara for the occasion.[/field]

Oleg proposed at our getaway home out east in Long Island the night before New Year’s Eve. He knew how much it meant to me to have family involved, so he planned a perfect private moment in our backyard, just the two of us. Afterwards, we got to celebrate with our closest people. My matron of honor, who is also my sister, wore a beautiful dress by Bernadette, and my cousin, who was my bridesmaid, wore a gown by V. Chapman. Every look felt personal and intentional, and it all came together so naturally with the setting.[/field]

One of the best parts about having a wedding in Italy is, of course, the food. We had classic Italian dishes throughout the night, from beautiful meats and cheeses to fresh pastas, panzanella salad, and Florentine steak. We also had two signature cocktails that made the night feel even more personal. The Hughie Spritz was a Hugo Spritz inspired by our golden retriever, and the Double O Seven was a dirty martini, which is Oleg’s favorite, and a little nod to both of our names starting with O.

We had the most stunning arrangements outside the church in shades of pink and lilac with soft hints of green, which set the tone perfectly. Florals carried throughout the day, from cocktail hour to the reception, where they adorned all the tables and the band stage. For the overhead decor, we kept it whimsical with fairy lights strung around the entire outdoor reception area. It created such a romantic and magical atmosphere once the sun went down.[/field]

For dessert, we had the traditional Italian wedding cake, which was such a fun moment. My husband and I actually assembled it ourselves on the dance floor in front of all our guests, and it was such a joyful and memorable part of the evening.
