From the start, the vision was to create a multi-day celebration that felt immersive, allowing guests to move through a series of thoughtfully designed moments across the Nobu property, brought to life through the planning and design of Pamela Franssen. Drawing inspiration from the hotel’s Japanese minimalism, the design emphasized clean architectural lines, natural materials, and layered greenery to keep the setting warm and grounded. The overall aesthetic balanced refinement with a sense of movement and surprise, reflecting the couple’s desire for a weekend that felt elevated, social, and genuinely fun.

[field title=”Proposal Story”]
Jeff surprised Vicky with a Labor Day weekend trip, sharing only a packing list that hinted at adventure but gave no indication of the destination. Upon arriving at the airport, she discovered they were headed to Ponta Delgada in the Azores, where the weekend unfolded with hiking, exploring, and time immersed in nature. During a scenic hike along the Mata do Canário trail, overlooking an old volcanic crater, Jeff proposed, setting the tone for a moment that felt both intimate and unexpected.

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]Vicky wore a custom Mira Zwillinger gown featuring an airy A-line silhouette with sheer layers and abstract white floral appliqué throughout. The dress struck a balance between softness and structure, complementing the architectural setting at Nobu Los Cabos. Paired with a matching Mira Zwillinger veil and Amina Muaddi heels, the look felt personal, refined, and true to her style.[/field]
[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]
The bridesmaids wore ice yellow dresses by BEC + Bridge, all in the same tone but with varied silhouettes to allow each look to feel individual while still cohesive. The soft, sun-washed hue added warmth to the neutral palette and photographed beautifully against the natural textures of Nobu Los Cabos. The choice felt fresh and modern, bringing a subtle pop of color without overpowering the overall design.

[field title=”Groomsman Attire”]The groomsmen wore classic black tuxedos, a choice that felt timeless and intentional against the softer tones and natural textures of the overall design. The darker palette added contrast and a sense of formality, helping anchor the look while keeping the focus on the setting and the celebration itself.[/field]

[field title=”Food & Drink”]
Dinner leaned into the setting and the couple’s love of Japanese cuisine, with a menu curated by Nobu Los Cabos that felt elevated but unfussy. Guests enjoyed a multi-course experience that included sashimi or beef carpaccio, Nobu’s signature miso soup, and a choice of fish or duck for the main course. Signature cocktails added a personal touch, from a spicy passion fruit mezcalita to a rum-based cocktail with pear, lime, and honey, keeping the evening social, lively, and true to the overall vibe of the celebration.

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]The design paired architectural shapes with organic materials, allowing the setting to lead while the details added warmth and texture. The ceremony unfolded directly on the sand, framed by an off-center pair of sculptural half arches layered with greenery and soft white, yellow, and orange florals, accented by subtle clay vessels along the aisle. At the reception, natural wood tables were left uncovered and styled with low floral arrangements, mixed-height candles, and warm-toned details. Lanterns and greenery carried through the space, creating a look that felt considered, relaxed, and visually grounded.[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]
The couple chose a chocolate cake with strawberry filling, created by Nobu Los Cabos’ pastry team. Served late in the evening, it felt classic and unfussy, offering a simple, crowd-pleasing moment that fit naturally into the flow of the celebration.

[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]The ceremony was personal and story-driven, officiated by the couple’s close friend, who shared reflections from their relationship rather than formal readings. Music played an important role throughout the day, with electric strings by Cabo Strings setting the tone as Jeff walked down the aisle to “Scientist” by Coldplay, followed by Vicky’s processional to “Say You Won’t Let Go” by James Arthur. The ceremony concluded with “Ella Baila Sola” by Eslabón Armado y Peso Pluma, signaling a joyful shift into the celebration.
At the reception, music continued to guide the energy of the evening, from the first dance to “Believe” by Mumford & Sons to heartfelt parent dances and a lively dance floor led by live band Kilometro and DJ Alex later in the night.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]
Surprise moments were woven throughout the evening, including fireworks, a champagne tower, and live water drummers who appeared during the reception, adding an unexpected shift in energy and keeping guests engaged well into the night.

The after-party transformed the Nobu foyer into “Club Wolfhasz,” complete with an LED dance floor, disco balls, CO₂ effects, a live saxophonist, and DJ Alex. The night also included a Hungarian money dance, a meaningful tradition that added a personal cultural touch to the celebration.

[field title=”Special Detail #3″]Music and performance played a central role in the celebration, from a fully choreographed first dance to a surprise mother dance set to “Mamma Mia,” creating lighthearted moments that reflected the couple’s sense of humor and closeness with their families[/field]
