Today is hugely special. It's Veteran's Day...a day that we should all feel so incredibly grateful to celebrate. Because, if it weren't for those amazing men and women that are out there fighting for our country, well, let's just say life wouldn't be quite as sweet for all of us. And to help do our teeny tiny part in such a grand cause, I thought that we would share one of the most incredible stories that I have heard to date. Before I go into details though, I want to say a HUGE thank you to...
I mentioned last week that we would be guest blogging over on Martha Stewart's The Bride's Guide...well, our first feature went live yesterday and it was a beauty! We will be sharing the entire wedding with you next week that the fabulous Carrie Patterson photographed, including a pretty awesome...
Thank you so very much to the always inspiring Jose Villa for sending us today's featured affair. We feel hugely giddy to have been chosen to debut this gorgeous wedding and only hope that we did the perfect photos justice. We have featured quite a few Jose Villa photographs on Style Me Pretty and now have a place within our gallery...
The last time we featured one of Jose's little pieces of heaven, someone left a funny comment about me kissing some serious Jose booty. Well, Jose just happens to send me THE best weddings so the kissing is well deserved...and as long as he continues to be one of the most brilliant photographers around, the kissing will definitely keep on keepin'! Jose Villa's photographs just have...
Whenever I see the name *Jose Villa* in my inbox, my heart does a little pitter patter. He could be the best photographer I know. He also happens to be the luckiest. Scoring wedding after wedding that has THE coolest style, the greatest details. And he always manages to capture them in a way that is as understated and timeless as it is simply gorgeous. And this wedding...well, it's the perfect example of just how good he is.
Today's featured affair marries two of my very favorite people... the ridiculously talented Jose Villa and my dear friend Oscar. Oscar de la Renta that is. Please feast your eyes on this insanely stunning bride who was born to wear something this gorgeous and her lovely, lovely wedding that...
Sometimes I see really pretty weddings and although they are easy on the eyes, they are hard to fall in love with. It's the JOY behind the images that really gets me. The pure and total joy that the bride and groom exude in each and every picture. Whether the wedding is high style and full glam, or vintage and a bit rustic...it will never be really beautiful unless you can truly feel the emotions. Which is exactly why I heart this wedding so very much.
From the adorable bride...
We have a completely jam packed day of gorgeousness on SMP. The Jose Villa wedding that is coming up in a bit is almost too much pretty to bear...definitely one of his best and with a style that is definitely one of his most swoon worthy. But before we get to that, I wanted to share this gorgeous little wedding that one of our readers sent us. The bride and groom got ready at my second favorite hotel space for weddings...
Before we get into all of the wedding goodness we have for you today (and I mean serious goodness) I wanted to announce our From Inspiration to Reality Challenge #2 Winner! If you remember, our next team to transform one of your boards into a real life photo shoot is the FABULOUS photographer Agnes Lopez, the lovely event...
I thought that this Mad Men inspired wedding was totally adorable, totally fun. Photographed by Tara Kneiser of Dixie Pixel Photography, this wedding is vintage inspired goodness and for me, it's the definition of a really whimsical wedding. One that you will find so many steal-worthy details. Super, SUPER cute stuff here people.
The cute, cute couple was married in a backyard affair this past October in Tennessee.
Okay. This just might be the cutest engagement session EVER. It seriously wins the prize for the most adorable set of pics I've ever seen and I am insanely jealous that I didn't think of the idea first. Shot by Stephan Maloman, these pics are making me very, very happy.
A perfect pink dress, a dreamy groom and four inch stiletto's. Um, hello perfection, my name is Abby. I love, love, love this shoot and am so thrilled that...
When I said that we have a week of pretty on SMP, I definitely wasn't doing this feature justice. It's the prettiest inspiration you've ever seen and is sure to give you those butterflies that you get when you know you hit the wedding jackpot. Designed by Jenny Steffens of Occasions by Jenny, this is Fall inspiration with a soft, totally girly approach. And I love every bit of it. And to make it even sweeter, Jenny is sharing a few...

I hope that everyone had a great weekend! It was blissful here in Boston so we spent most of the our days outside, playing in the leaves and eating way too many pumpkin donuts. Just the kind of weekend that totally recharges me and gets me excited for all of the prettiness that we have coming up on SMP this week. And I mean serious prettiness...a wedding by Jose Villa, an affair by...
We have had a jam packed day of gorgeousness, complete with DIY projects, insanely lovely invitations and the announcement that we'll be doing our...
This is not so much a DIY project as a really simple idea...using brown bags filled with fruit as either a table number OR as seating cards. Depending on the size of the bag that you buy, you can use these little treats in different ways. Either approach is just a really adorable way to bring a bit of charm to your table. This DIY is for seating cards, but really...it's super easy to translate this project in lots of different ways. Please note, we kept our bags without names on them, as...
Okay! Now on to the pies themselves. This was probably the easiest thing that I have ever done and coming from the world's worst baker (I swear, I'm not exaggerating)...that really says a lot. I fully admit that I cheated and bought pre-made pie dough. For one round, I made the filling myself but then I discovered that they actually make pre-made pie filling, so you know I jumped right on that bandwagon. Sad, I know. But they turned out so stinking cute, who cares! Materials Pie Dough...
We are featuring a handful of our favorite DIY projects from our From Inspiration to Reality Shoot that we did with our Connecticut Vendors a few weeks back...and this one just might be my favorite. I knew that I wanted to do some homemade pies, inspired by...

Such a fun way to get our favorite Little Black Book members to rub elbows with all of you super stylish brides. Plus, it gives us lots of prettiness to write...
