Real Wedding: Laura and Joshua

I have to admit, I have a bit of a girl crush on today's bride. She is not only drop dead gorgeous, she has a style that is one part glam, one part sweet and sophisticated. A perfect combination. Plus, the affair took place in the beautiful Australia, a place that I am becoming more and more obsessed with as I start to see so much Aussie style and innovation in the weddings that I've received....

Real Wedding: Patrik and Jessica, IV

The best part about today's wedding, in my humble opinion, is that the pair actually draped their uncle's garage to look like something right out of a fairytale. Complete unabashed garage luxury! LOVE.

From Jessica...

Dinner, also vegetarian and prepared by The Pantry, was located in the house garage which was completely transformed to an intimate and serene space with white satin draperies against the walls and ceilings, white lanterns spread across the room for...

Real Wedding: Patrik and Jessica, III

Ever since I saw Father of the Bride years ago, I've had this thing for home grown weddings. There is something so romantic, so warm about a wedding at the home of someone you love. It's just so soulful, so completely intimate. And this absolutely beautiful wedding that Jen Huang photographed, is no exception...

From Jessica...

After the ceremony, we provided guests with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. The hors d’oeuvres, prepared by The Pantry, were vegetarian as a...

Real Wedding: Patrik and Jessica, II

I fell head over heels for this wedding the minute I saw it. Any wedding that Jen Huang photographs is generally a keeper, but there is something special about the quaint, simple style of this particular affair that I just love.

From Jessica...

The ceremony took place on the patio under a tent, lit by some lanterns, overlooking the property.  The ceremony was incredibly intimate as the Justice of Peace...

Real Wedding: Patrik and Jessica

Today's first real wedding is all about sweet, effortless charm. Shot by the amazingly talented Jen Huang, Patrik and Jessica tied the knot just a couple of weeks ago at Patrick's uncle's home in Connecticut. Before we dive into the absolutely beautiful details, I wanted to show you the gorgeous landscape where the couple said their I-do's...

Inspiration Boards: From Room to Reality

Turning a perfect room inspiration into a perfect wedding...we did this a while back on SMP, but have kind of dropped the ball on the idea lately. Well, the team over at Buzz Media Company is picking up where we left off with their Morning Coffee feature and it's completely scrumptious. Here's a peek... I have always...

SMP Loves…Flower Boxes!

This one, designed by Mindy Rice, was spotted over on La Fleur Weddings & Events blog and was crafted as a flower girl box. But, I think that it would look pretty spectacular as a centerpiece on a rustic, chic table style. Think white linen, lace overlays, vintage silver and perhaps mismatched white china. Total perfection. Photograph by...

Wedding Photography: One Love Photo

I am being a bit of a lazy blogger today and am actually looking to a few of my favorite spots to provide inspiration for all of us. I found this next set of absolutely gorgeous wedding photographs over on Veiled Vows, an edgy little blog chocked full with wedding eye candy (including a set of pictures from Speidi's...did I just say that...hollywood affair!).

This wedding was shot by the hugely talented Heather Gilson...

Wedding Photography by Jonas Peterson

I usually hate to recycle blog content, but for this, I had to make an exception. Spotted over on the FABULOUS Mika78's blog SevenEight, I fell head over heels for this Jonas Peterson photographed affair...

Ahhh, doesn't it just make you happy. The muted, sophisticated color palette, the effortless elegance of the style, the shabby chic but still refined detailing. Love...

SMP Loves…Velvet Owl!

I'll be the first to admit that I go a little bit nuts over a well made feather headpiece. There is just something so ethereal, so dreamy about a bride donning one of these little beauties. So, when I saw the gorgeousness that was happening over at Velvet Owl, I swooned. I am particularly fond of this piece to the right...total perfection.

Weddings: The Creative Process

I usually don't blog about regionally specific events, but since this one is so amazing (and since yours truly will be there), I thought I would make an exception to the rule. If you are in the New England area, cancel all of your plans for this weekend. The AMAZING crew at True and Wesson has put together one of the most incredible luxury bridal showcases, focusing their concept on using the 5 senses to plan your wedding.

Retro Hollywood Glam At The Phoenix ~ From Viva Bella Events

Dora Manuel at Viva Bella Events in Cincinnati thought you would enjoy Lauren & Jordan's wedding and we're positive that you will! She did such a great job telling their story, we're just going to let her take over.

Lauren and Jordan joke about how different they each are. She’s an artist. He’s a dentist. She’s Catholic. He’s Jewish. She’s a smalltown girl. He’s from the city. To meet...

Real Wedding: Sneak Peek

So two really great things are happening today. The first is that it is 66 degrees outside. That may not sound like much, but for a Texas girl who is constantly freezing in Boston, this is the first sign that things are warming up around here. Second, and perhaps even more exciting, is that it just happens to be my birthday! And a big one at that.

So, I am doing something completely unusual and taking the rest of the day off to hang with my little girl and spend some time playing...

Engagement Portrait’s by Erin Heart’s Court

I really don't do a lot of features on engagement portraits, because it takes a lot to really wow me. But, these adorable photographs just made me smile, so I thought I would pass them along. The fabulous Megan, over at La Partie Events (remember her DIY projects last month) sent them to me and I just love.
