Our beautiful bride Jessie said she “knew from the very beginning that she wanted the wedding design colours to include neutrals, soft pinks and whites.” Hannah Hope from Hannah Hope Events brought Jessie’s vision to life, incorporating whites, nudes, and blush tones, keeping the design simple, romantic,c and very elegant. “Nothing too over the top or bold, just a beautiful, modern design,” says Hannah.

Hannah loved seeing Jessie & Ben’s wedding design truly come together during their first sampling day, “where we brought together the flowers, chairs,s and all of the tablescape details. Even though Jessie & Ben thought they knew exactly what they wanted, it was only when seeing elements like the flowers, chairs & tablescape details together that they made their final choices and were surprised by what they chose. This is one of the main reasons, as a wedding planner, that I suggest a sampling day to my couples – it’s always worthwhile and a great way to see your wedding vision brought to life!” Jessie: “When Ben first saw the ceremony set up, he said the word that kept coming to mind was ‘heavenly,’ and I agree, it was truly breathtaking. The same can be said for the wedding breakfast and party design. My mouth dropped open when I saw the room for the first time,e and I was speechless. We didn’t really have too much of a vision, but the way our wedding was designed by the team was actually everything I wanted without even knowing it! I still look at our photos and can’t believe that it was our wedding, the design was like something you see on TV or in magazines. “

Jessie shares their romantic proposal story: “Ben proposed to me on the 17th November 2023 at Claridges Hotel in London (an iconic London landmark and one of my bucket list hotels!) It was very low-key, which is what I wanted, seeing that we are both shy and hate attention! We originally had booked to stay at another hotel in Canterbury, but Ben called me a couple of weeks before asking what I thought about staying at Claridges instead, as it was getting close to the festive season, which is the best time of year to see Claridges, plus I had always wanted to stay at Claridges. Of course,e I said yes! He picked me up from work and drove us into London. He is usually quiet; however, looking back, he was way quieter than usual! We had a lovely dinner, but again, looking back, Ben didn’t finish his meal, which is unheard of… I now know why! We went back up to our room after dinner,r and the next moment, Ben was down on one knee. After I said YES, we spent the next couple of hours calling our friends and family to share the wonderful news with them. We spent the following morning in London before going home to my parents, where a small surprise celebration had been planned. It was a wonderful, surreal,l and magical weekend.”

From Jessie: “My wedding day gown was Pronovias. I had tried on about 15 dresses beforehand, and I never had’the feeling’ you are meant to have when you find ‘the one. ‘ However, with my wedding dress, I had that feeling instantly. I didn’t want to take it off, also my mum, mother-in-law, and sisters loved it,t which was really important for me. I felt the dress had enough detail without being too much; the lace on the train and the train itself were my favourite parts. My evening/party dress was from Meshki’s bridal collection. I knew that I wanted something completely different from my daytime gown. I ordered about six different evening options, and again, I knew instantly that once I tried on this dress, it was the one. I loved the sparkle and halter neck, completely opposing the wedding dress. “

From Jessie: “The bridesmaid dresses were from a brand called Tripletta Bridal. I had envisioned the kind of dresses I wanted my bridesmaids to wear, created pinterest boards but couldn’t find the style I envisioned, anywhere, until I found Tripletta Bridal on Instagram. The exact style of dress I wanted was there! Myself and my bridesmaids went to their showroom and each one of my girls looked amazing in the dress. My bridesmaids were a range of ages, and the dress worked for each one of them. I couldn’t have been happier with the,m and the girls all feel the same.”

From Jessie: “Ben’s suit was Tom Ford. Ben knew he wanted a sharp, designer suit, and of course, with Tom Ford known ticked all the boxes. We were shopping while on holiday in Paris when we walked past a Tom Ford store, so we went in to have a look. Ben tried on one of their suits and instantly knew that it was the one. The first one he tried on ended up being the suit he walked away with. We were leaving to go home the next day, so they had it tailored straightaway, and it was waiting for us back at our hotel within a matter of hours.”

Hannah shares some details on the delicious menu for Jessie & Ben’s wedding: “When Jessie & Ben chose Four Seasons Hampshire as their venue, I knew they were in safe hands with Chef Talha and his team when it came to food. Jessie & Ben didn’t want anything too fussy when it came to the menu and wanted to ensure it was good quality food that everybody would enjoy. We began with canapés in the garden,n including Prawn Tempura with a Tarragon Aioli and a Cheese & Pear Tartlet with a Chilli Grape Chutney. Followed by three-coursese candlelit meal served in the ballroom. Starter: Mushroom Tempura crispy shredded mushroom tempura with nahm jim dressing. Main: Beef Fillet, double potatoes, green asparagus, mushroom purée, truffle juice.s Dessert: Oven Baked Blueberry Cheesecake mix berry compote. Guests were then served Beef sliders, Chicken Slides, and Fish & Chips whilst partying away on the dance floor!

A Touch of Kent brought Jessie & Ben’s floral design vision to life: “Jessie and Ben envisioned a neutral palette filled with soft, harmonious tones. To bring this to life, we combined White Dove roses for a gentle white, Dorchester roses for a delicate blush accent, and Quicksand roses for a refined nude hue. Each rose was carefully reflected to add a luxurious, modern finish. These were styled alongside mophead hydrangeas, elegant white delphiniums, ruffled peonies, and trailing white amaranthus to achieve a graceful, draping effect. In total, more than 5,000 stems were used to create their floral design.”

From Hannah: “To complement the simplicity and understated design of Jessie and Ben’s wedding, we opted for a simple four-tier wedding cake delicately dressed with gorgeous blush, nude, and cream roses. The final chosen flavours were Vanilla, Chocolate, Peach, and Lemon Drizzle.”

From Hannah: “After choosing Four Seasons as their venue, Jessie & Ben’s vision was to get legally married in the Walled Garden with all of their friends and family. As the planning went on and we discussed what their ceremony would look like, they decided to have their formal, legal ceremony in a Church the day before to ensure they could personalise their Walled Garden ceremony as much as they could and give them the option to include hymns and religious readings throughout and be led by their Pastor.”

Jessie’s highlight of the day: “It is too hard to pick one highlight of the day! My favourite moments include: Being with my bridesmaids and mums in the morning, having breakfast, getting ready, and seeingeveryone’ss hair & make-up and final outfits come to life. Another highlight was, of course, reading the ceremony by ourselves and Ben reading our vows to one another. I also loved seeing the dinner and evening party set up for the first time – an indescribable feeling! My dad’s and Ben’s speeches were amazing and stand out, and then of course partying as Mr and Mrs Johnson! It was truly magical!”

We all travelled up to the Four Seasons Hampshire after the service. We then enjoyed an intimate dinner together – welcoming our families to the hotel while celebrating our legal marriage. It felt so special to be surrounded by our closest family members in such a beautiful room. I chose a simple white dress from Zara for the occasion.[/field]

The regal setting of the villa brought a natural sense of grandeur, which was balanced by the lightness and softness of the florals. It felt elevated but intimate, and completely true to us.

Oleg proposed at our getaway home out east in Long Island the night before New Year’s Eve. He knew how much it meant to me to have family involved, so he planned a perfect private moment in our backyard, just the two of us. Afterwards, we got to celebrate with our closest people. My matron of honor, who is also my sister, wore a beautiful dress by Bernadette, and my cousin, who was my bridesmaid, wore a gown by V. Chapman. Every look felt personal and intentional, and it all came together so naturally with the setting.[/field]

One of the best parts about having a wedding in Italy is, of course, the food. We had classic Italian dishes throughout the night, from beautiful meats and cheeses to fresh pastas, panzanella salad, and Florentine steak. We also had two signature cocktails that made the night feel even more personal. The Hughie Spritz was a Hugo Spritz inspired by our golden retriever, and the Double O Seven was a dirty martini, which is Oleg’s favorite, and a little nod to both of our names starting with O.

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]Flowers were one of the most important elements to me, and they turned out even more beautiful than I imagined. We had the most stunning arrangements outside the church in shades of pink and lilac with soft hints of green, which set the tone perfectly. Florals carried throughout the day, from cocktail hour to the reception, where they adorned all the tables and the band stage. For the overhead decor, we kept it whimsical with fairy lights strung around the entire outdoor reception area. It created such a romantic and magical atmosphere once the sun went down.[/field]

For dessert, we had the traditional Italian wedding cake, which was such a fun moment. My husband and I actually assembled it ourselves on the dance floor in front of all our guests, and it was such a joyful and memorable part of the evening.

The dance floor was enhanced with whimsical greenery and twinkle lights behind the entertainment.

Cocktail hour was filled with passed food and beverages of all the couples’ favorite items. “Cocktails with the Florins” was a featured tag on their signature drinks. The cocktail stations featured their love of pasta, sushi, dumplings, and Mexican cuisine. Guests mingled and browsed the art inside the museum.

The floral and decor were set to feel elevated, intentional, and relaxed. Every detail, from layered linens to taper candles tucked between seasonal blooms, a mixture of table top rotation between tables to create a movement in the room, was designed with intention.

Custom artwork by a close friend was featured throughout the paper goods — original paintings created while the couple was dating, inspired by the wildflower bouquets Landry used to pick and leave on LJ’s windshield.

Six weeks in, LJ and Landry had a heart-to-heart about their future and realized they could both see themselves getting married. The first, a beef tenderloin with herb-roasted Mallorcan baby potatoes, arugula, Parmigiano, and asparagus finished with Organic Chefs’ sun-dried tomato sauce — hearty, refined, and rooted in the land. The second, a vegetarian option of zucchini and cauliflower prepared with the same island-grown accompaniments, celebrates vegetables with equal artistry. At cocktail hour, each guest was greeted with a glass of Prosecco and a selection of hot and cold canapés. Dinner was a delicious five-course menu, including one starter, one soup, a choice of two main courses, a silent vegetarian main course option, one dessert, tea or coffee, and petit fours. Evening snacks included fish and chip cones, miniature beef sliders, bacon butties, crusty ciabatta bread, vegetable spring rolls, and freshly brewed coffee and tea. The drinks flowed throughout the night, with the bar serving a variety of beers, wines, and non-alcoholic beverages.

The Rosehip and Berry florist, Hollie, created a stunning scene for both the ceremony and the reception. The couple was surrounded by flowers on the steps leading to the library. The scene evoked a lush garden in the countryside. The flowers complemented the vine-draped castle walls as the wisteria turned stunning shades of crimson, amber, and gold. The reception tablescape and florals were inspired by an autumnal harvest in a still life painting. Something that would inspire the work of the Dutch Masters. Lush flowers and fruit adorned the tables, with linens that were reminiscent of a tapestry you might see hanging in one of the castle’s rooms. Playing on the Georgian and Baroque elements of the ballroom, we continued to pull inspiration from Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice, which was set in the Georgian Era. The décor accentuated the refined opulence of the venue while also being warm and inviting.

The wedding cake was almost too beautiful to eat. The couple chose flavors of “Luscious Lemon” – a tangy lemon-flavoured cake layered with homemade lemon curd and fresh lemon zest buttercream frosting, and “Queen Victoria” – a soft vanilla sponge cake layered with homemade strawberry jam and Madagascan vanilla bean buttercream frosting. The bride walked down the aisle to an instrumental version of “I can’t help falling in love with you. The reception was lively with a mix of Irish trad and more contemporary music. The musicians continued to keep energy high and people out on the dance floor as they led the guests in Irish céilí dancing. Céilí dancing is the native group dancing of Ireland and is danced to traditional Irish music. The couple and their guests absolutely loved dancing the night away to the reels and jigs.

The bride and groom wanted to incorporate the Cladto their wedding bands. The design holds great significance for the couple and serves as a nod to the bride’s Irish heritage and family traditions. At the centre of the Claddagh design is a heart, symbolising love. This heart is held by two hands, representing friendship, while the crown atop the heart stands for loyalty. Together, these three elements form a powerful message of commitment and enduring affection. An emblem of love, loyalty, and friendship. The bride’s custom wedding band was hand-engraved with Daffodils and Morning Glories (the couple’s birth flowers) and an image of the Claddagh. The vines of the Morning Glories intertwine with the Daffodils, signifying growth and unity as they both reach the Claddagh symbol at the top of the ring. The design symbolizes the couple’s relationship and their commitment as they continue to grow together in friendship, loyalty, and love. The groom’s wedding band was made in Galway, Ireland and was designed to incorporate the emblem of the Claddagh with a Celtic weave pattern design.

A Joy-Filled Wedding Defined by Timeless Elegance and Thoughtful Personal Details

One of those touches, their custom wedding monogram, was thoughtfully incorporated throughout the venue: on the dance floor, the outdoor 360-degree bar, the ballroom bar, koozies, napkins, cups, and even the matches. Anna’s favorite flowers, hydrangeas and peonies, took center stage in the floral design. The bride and her bridal party carried simple, elegant bouquets of all-white peonies, while blue and white hydrangeas beautifully adorned the altar, lined the aisle, filled the ballroom, and flanked the band’s stage.

A Three-Day Moroccan Dream of Garden Romance & Culture in Marrakech at Beldi Country Club

Clementine & Franck’s Magical Marrakech Celebration From the cosmopolitan streets of Geneva to the enchanting landscapes of Morocco, Clementine and Franck invited 200 of their closest family and friends to celebrate their love most unforgettably: a three-day wedding experience in Marrakech. Set against the lush and iconic gardens of Hotel Beldi, the festivities unfolded in a setting that was nothing short of a dream. Surrounded by flourishing greenery and an abundance of white roses designed by Le Kiosque à Fleurs, the ceremony space radiated natural elegance. Guests, dressed in a kaleidoscope of colors that beautifully echoed the vibrant blooms of the gardens, carried delicate white parasols to shield themselves from the Moroccan sun. What made this celebration truly special was the intimate spirit fostered by having all 200 guests stay at the hotel. From leisurely breakfasts to afternoons by the spectacular pool crowned with its traditional turret, every moment built a sense of togetherness. Thoughtful welcome gifts awaited each guest—sun hats, t-shirts, fans, and more—setting the tone for days filled with warmth, laughter, and connection. The culinary experience was equally memorable: long garden lunches with authentic Moroccan dishes that carried everyone on a journey through the country’s rich flavors. The desert soirée was an extraordinary highlight. Guests were transported to a magical world where traditional Moroccan musicians filled the night with sound, fire-lit ovens served fragrant dishes, and dancers and fortune tellers brought an atmosphere of wonder. Clementine and Franck made their grand entrance in true Moroccan style, carried high above the crowd on beautifully adorned platforms—a breathtaking moment that ignited the party spirit. On the wedding day itself, emotions ran high. Franck was visibly moved, while Clementine radiated beauty in her gown, holding an organic bouquet of greenery and olive branches. The celebration flowed seamlessly from a heartfelt ceremony—led by Micky Ceremony—to a lively cocktail hour where even monkeys and snakes made an appearance, delighting guests. The evening reception was pure joy. A live performance by Fomo had everyone dancing non-stop, with speeches that touched the heart in between courses of exquisite Moroccan cuisine. Guests were spoiled with thoughtful details: silk scarves and sandals for the ladies, cigars for the gentlemen. The towering wedding cake, adorned with sparklers, was cut with a traditional yatagan sword—a spectacular finale that had everyone cheering in celebration. Every detail, perfectly orchestrated by Soirées CafeDelux Events, reflected the couple’s vision: a celebration of love, family, culture, and joy.

A Southern Destination Wedding Filled with Lowcountry Romance, Family Tradition, and Oscar de la Renta

Although her family is from Chicago, Amanda’s folks recently purchased a home in Seabrook, so they decided to host a destination wedding for their loved ones in the place that has become their new home: theLow Countryy. The bride, being their only daughter of five children, theGarvyss were able to host an affair that spoke to their family. They hosted the rehearsal at dinner at the Seabrook Island Club and welcome party at Mingo Point, where the sunset over the marsh asguestst enjoyed a crawfish boil. Amanda got dressed at home before doing a first look with her four brothers at the church where she would marry the love of her life (an only child to boot!). She and Kyle took the trolley to the Ocean Course to take portraits and enjoy cocktail hour before welcoming guests in with a balcony champagne pop and second line into their tented affair. It was nearly impossible to drag her and her mom (a once professional cheerleader) off the band stage! A night of southern romance and family charm made this one even the gators will remember.

Originally, Corey had planned to stay in Park City, Utah, for just a month, but after meeting Kyle, ended up staying for a year. Eventually, the couple made the move to Austin, Texas, together. Both sharing a passion for the outdoors and snowboarding, Kyle chose the perfect moment to propose during a trip back to Park City Mountain. At the top of a ski run, he asked Corey to spend forever with him. Their shared interests extend beyond snowboarding – they love hiking, cooking, dining out, and spending time with their dogs. Corey, an avid traveler, has already visited 27 countries, adding their honeymoon to South Africa to their list. A Warm Mountain Wedding Inspired by Travel and Timeless Design in Park City

Inspired by Lindsay’s California upbringing and their travels to France, the couple’s vision began to take shape with thoughtful design choices. Florals reflected seasonal tones while harmonizing with the sweeping mountain views at the St. Regis. “Every hue was drawn from the surrounding landscape,” the couple explained, “ensuring the palette felt both timeless and deeply connected to the setting.”

Lindsay and Michael first connected while living in Washington D.C., realizing that rather than setting Michael up with her roommate, they should go on a date themselves. Once they started dating, their relationship quickly expanded, so much so that it took only two dates for Michael to say, “I love you.” Growing up in California, Lindsay had fond memories of visiting Carmel-by-the-Sea. She and Michael enjoyed a trip together, revisiting many of Lindsay’s favorite places. A year later, Michael surprised her with a trip back to the West Coast, though she didn’t know their destination until arriving at JFK Airport. That Saturday morning, the couple ventured to Pebble Beach, where Michael helped Lindsay navigate the rugged cliffside. Moments later, he got down on one knee and proposed. The rest of the afternoon was spent celebrating quietly: enjoying brunch on Ocean Avenue, cuddling in town, and calling family and friends to share their joyous news.

We got engaged in October 2023 along the river right by our apartment at the time in Navy Yard, DC. Ryan took me out for a walk post my Saturday morning workout and proposed by the water. When we got back to our apartment, he surprised me with both of our families waiting there. We went to brunch to celebrate with our families and had the best time–only for him to surprise me again with a party on our rooftop with all of our closest friends.

Early Mountain helped curate a delicious menu for the wedding. We served a Caesar salad, followed by a crab cake and filet mignon duo entree with a side of asparagus and confit Dutch potatoes. For signature cocktails, we served two of our favorite drinks with a fun twist–a Mango Mule and Mint Bourbon Smash. Late-night bites were truffle fries, fried halloumi, and Lakota ranch beef sliders. We also had a “nightcap” bar where we served espresso martinis and hot toddies.

Flowers were a top priority for the wedding design. Steelcut Flower Co. sourced an amazing variety of Spring blooms, including Lilac, Sweet Pea, Claire de Lune Peonies, Tulips, Hellebore, Poppies, Ranunculus, Delphinium, Garden Roses, and more. For the ceremony, we had the chairs set in a semi-circle with a round platform at the altar. The ceremony entrance had a vignette of wildflower-inspired designs and ceramic pots, with continuous florals going down the aisle for an ethereal touch. The altar platform was surrounded by both florals and ceramic pots to frame Jessie and Ryan beautifully as they exchanged vows.

The wedding cake was a buttermilk cake filled with two layers of raspberry curd and one layer of mascarpone cream, plus a vanilla chiffon cake with strawberry compote and triple cream. In addition to cake, a mini dessert station featured key lime and tiramisu mousse cups, shortbread bars, macarons, brownies, and chocolate bourbon pecan bars.

A Timeless Hill Country Wedding Filled with Personal Touches at Omni Barton Creek

Jessica and Michael envisioned a celebration that was timeless, elegant, and personal – a day filled with undeniable joy from beginning to end. Their soft palate of blush pink, ivory, and greenery paired beautifully with the Hill Country backdrop of the Omni Barton Creek in Austin, Texas. Guests experienced a natural flow from a serene outdoor ceremony overlooking the rolling hills, to a courtyard cocktail hour, and finally into a pavilion reception that opened to the evening breeze before transforming into a lively dance party. Lush, fresh florals and candlelight gave each space a sense of romance and intimacy, while statement pieces – from the cascading florals at the head table to the six-tier cake – added a touch of grandeur. Layered throughout were thoughtful details that reflected Jessica and Michael’s personalities and story: a gelato cart, signature cocktails, a “Generations of Love” photo display, and Jessica’s iconic Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders “Thunderstruck” performance opening the dance floor, to name a few. Their wedding day was filled with beauty, joy, and meaning – a true reflection of Jessica and Michael’s love story.

A few weeks before the proposal, one of Jessica’s Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader teammates asked her and her roommate, Claire, to model in a photo shoot for her new boutique. Dresses arrived at her apartment in the weeks leading up to the shoot, all part of a carefully orchestrated plan by Jessica’s mom, Claire, and Michael. Jessica, convinced the proposal would happen later in December when Michael’s Italian family was due to visit, had no idea the big moment was already in motion. One weekend in November of 2023, Jessica’s family and friends came into town to watch one of her DCC Christmas shows that Friday and Saturday at The Star, as they did at least once every year. Her mom even helped steam her “photo shoot dresses” while she was in town, secretly hiding her excitement for what was about to happen that weekend. After a fun Saturday night out after the show, Jessica’s friends and family pretended to leave town the next morning, leaving Jessica to go about her day – getting her nails done and filming a lighthearted “get ready with us” video with Claire before heading to the shoot in downtown Dallas. When they arrived at the photo shoot location, the photographer introduced herself as Megan Kay, who, unbeknownst to Jessica, would later capture her wedding day too. After a few test shots, the door quietly opened, and Michael walked in. Jessica immediately knew what was happening in this moment. Everything else faded away as he took her hands, said a few sweet words, and dropped down on one knee. Overwhelmed with joy and emotion, she said “yes” before she could even see the ring through her happy tears. Their families, waiting nearby, rushed in to celebrate, and the surprises continued with a beautifully planned engagement party at Mesero in Legacy West. The room was filled with thoughtful details, Jessica’s teammates, and close friends who had traveled from near and far. The night was overflowing with love, joy, and happy tears. An unforgettable start to Jessica and Michael’s forever – November 19th.

For her ceremony, Jessica wore a breathtaking Berta gown from BB Lewisville. The romantic A-line silhouette was fully covered in classic floral lace, with sheer off-the-shoulder sleeves that created an angelic and ethereal look for the outdoor setting. The dramatic train added a grand touch, while delicate pearls and subtle sparkle along the bodice gave it just the right amount of shimmer. She wore her hair down with big curls, and paired the gown with a pearl-trimmed veil, custom Verstolo pearl-and-diamond earrings, and Jimmy Choo heels. Jessica shared that the dress was the second one she ever tried on, but she knew instantly it was “the one” as she always came back to it. She wore this gown through the cocktail hour and first part of the reception, including her first dance, toasts, and cake cutting. Later that evening, Jessica changed into a custom Casablanca Bridal design that she worked on at their flagship in Newport Beach, California. The chic mini A-line style was crafted in satin with a square neckline and thin straps, brought to life with scattered beaded detailing across the waist and bodice. She paired the look with diamond Verstolo earrings and a necklace, and her iconic white Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders boots — which had been hand-painted by Darby Thompson with blush florals, pearls, sparkles, her new last name, and her wedding date. Jessica debuted this look with a DCC performance to “Thunderstruck,” officially opening the dance floor, and wore it through the late-night celebration and send-off. For her rehearsal dinner, Jessica chose a fitted Vera Wang floor-length gown with a subtle train and delicate lace side panels. She accessorized with pointed satin Steve Madden heels featuring pearl details, a pearl handbag from Anthropologie, and Verstolo diamond-and-pearl earrings. She completed the look with a ponytail, striking the perfect balance of chic and timeless on the eve of her wedding day.

Michael stayed true to his own classic style on the wedding day in a black Vera Wang tuxedo with a white shirt, looking sharp, handsome, and effortlessly himself. For the rehearsal dinner at The Driskill, he wore the dark gray suit he had proposed to Jessica in—a sentimental nod to their story—paired with his Lucchese cowboy boots for a touch of Texas flair.

During cocktail hour, guests enjoyed passed hors d’oeuvres including fried crab cakes with Cajun remoulade, honey-smoked salmon with boursin and black pepper on toast, and balsamic-marinated Roma tomato skewers. Dinner began with a classic Caesar salad, followed by entree choices of herb and sea salt-rubbed beef tenderloin, pan-roasted chicken breast, or butternut squash gnocchi, with sides of Boursin smashed potatoes and glazed baby carrots. Dessert was the couple’s six-tier wedding cake, served alongside late-night snacks of passed truffle fries (in custom fry holders with their wedding crest) and a gelato station featuring flavors like stracciatella, chocolate, and caramel macchiato. The drinks were just as memorable. An open bar flowed throughout the night, with wine service at dinner and an espresso martini custom ice lounge, by Full Spectrum Ice, that guests loved. The couple also created signature cocktails: Jessica’s “The Blushing Bride,” a pink prickly pear margarita with a Dallas Cowboys star engraved on the ice cubes by Full Spectrum Ice, and Michael’s “Michael’s Type,” a Shiner Light Blonde – both playful and personal nods to their story and style.

Inside the pavilion, the sweetheart table overflowed with cascading florals and candles, and the head table featured a mix of low arrangements and tall glowing candles with a dramatic floral “train” that mimicked Jessica’s gown. Guest tables glowed with florals and candlelight, while the six-tier wedding cake adorned with cascading blush and white blooms served as a breathtaking focal point behind the couple. The all-white dance floor, customized with their wedding crest in blush, tied the entire design vision together and created the perfect backdrop for the evening’s most special moments. Together, the flowers, decor, and thoughtful details created an atmosphere that felt both breathtakingly timeless and uniquely theirs.

The all-white creation was wrapped from top to bottom in cascading fresh flowers from their florist, making it the perfect backdrop for their sweetheart table and photos. Inside, the couple chose two flavors to delight their guests: half white cake with cream cheese amaretto and half chocolate cake with Belgian chocolate mousse. It was as delicious as it was beautiful.

Instead of a traditional groom’s cake, the couple added a personal touch with a “groom’s dessert” – a gelato cart, in honor of Michael’s Italian heritage and Jessica and Michael’s first date getting gelato. With family traveling all the way from Rome to celebrate, it was the sweetest nod to his mother’s side of the family (and a crowd-pleaser for guests who couldn’t resist a scoop of gelato). [/field]

Before the ceremony, Jessica and Michael chose to exchange private personal vows, reading heartfelt letters they each wrote to one another and exchanging meaningful gifts. They did not do a first look, so their handwritten vows, letters, and gifts were delivered to their waiting rooms before they walked the aisle. Jessica gave Michael a custom Lanham family Bible, while he surprised her with a Tiffany pearl bracelet and a set of “open when” cards for milestones in their marriage and lifetime together. For the ceremony itself, the couple said traditional vows in front of the pastor from Jessica’s childhood church — a touching full-circle moment. The Sienna String Quartet provided live music throughout, setting an endearing and elegant tone. Jessica walked down the aisle to “Canon in D,” Michael’s favorite classical piece, and the two recessed as Mr. and Mrs. Lanham to the traditional “Wedding March.” The quartet continued into cocktail hour, playing classical renditions of popular songs that made the atmosphere feel like a movie. The reception was filled with music and memorable moments. Jessica and Michael shared their first dance to “Can’t Help Falling in Love” by Elvis, followed by a father-daughter dance with a surprise twist. Jessica and her dad began with “I Hope You Dance” (the Chris Stapleton version) before breaking into a lively mash-up of “Can’t Touch This” and “Dancing Queen,” complete with pom-poms hidden up her dad’s sleeve that later became props on the dance floor. This was a fun tribute to their many “daddy/daughter dance” recital performances when Jessica was little. Michael and his mom then shared a sweet Texas two-step to “Days Like This” by Van Morrison. Throughout the dinner, reception, and dance party, the Jordan Kahn Orchestra’s Manhattan Band kept the energy alive with an 11-piece ensemble that brought guests to their feet. From pulling Jessica and Michael on stage to starting a limbo line in the middle of the crowd, the band created an unforgettable atmosphere of celebration.

One of the most unforgettable moments of the night came when Jessica honored her four years as a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader by carrying on a beloved DCC wedding tradition. At each wedding, the bride takes the point of the iconic triangle formation as current and former teammates join her to perform their signature pre-game routine to “Thunderstruck.” Jessica made this performance the official grand opening of the dance floor, and it was every bit as electric as game day. For the performance, she changed into her second look along with her custom hand-painted white Lucchese DCC boots and pom-poms. As she and her teammates hit the routine’s signature moments, sparklers shot off behind them, bringing the energy to an all-time high, thanks to Big Dog Pyro. Michael sat front and center, cheering Jessica on just as he had for four years at AT&T Stadium, while guests cheered and clapped along, too. When the performance ended, everyone was invited onto the dance floor, complete with pom-poms and light-up cowboy hats, setting the stage for an unforgettable party.

To close out the night, Jessica and Michael shared a private last dance to “Amazed” by Lonestar with their band before joining their guests for a spectacular sendoff. Friends and family lined the pathway to the circle drive, each holding sparklers as the couple made their way through. The horn section of their band followed closely behind them, playing “All You Need Is Love” to keep the celebration alive until the very end. What made the moment even more meaningful was their getaway car: Jessica’s dad’s treasured 1967 black Pontiac GTO. The car, from the year of his birth and with Italian origins, was both a sentimental nod to her father and a fun tribute to Michael’s Italian side of the family. Decorated lovingly by Jessica’s parents, the car became the perfect final touch to the night. With a final wave, a dip, and a kiss, Jessica and Michael drove off into married life — and then on to their honeymoon adventure in Thailand.

Guests were gifted “Italian Confetti” – not paper streamers, but sugar-coated almonds – as a cherished wedding tradition symbolizing love, luck, and prosperity. Each guest received five confetti, representing health, happiness, fertility, wealth, and a long life – five heartfelt wishes for the newlyweds.

The almond inside has a natural richness, while the sugar coating adds sweetness, reflecting the contrast of life’s moments. Together, they create the perfect balance – just like a strong and loving marriage. This thoughtful detail was the perfect ending to the celebration, filling guests’ hands with something sweet and their hearts with well-wishes. [/field]

A Relaxed, Pastel-Hued Wedding Inspired by the Natural Beauty of the Rose Garden

For our wedding day, we wanted everything to feel like a relaxed garden party, allowing the venue and its beautiful natural surroundings to speak for themselves. We chose a soft color palette of pale yellows, pinks, and greens to complement — rather than compete with — the rose garden. For the finer details, like menus and napkins, we leaned into a mossy green hue to tie everything back to the natural aesthetic of the space. One of our favorite elements was the floral seating chart, lovingly hand-built by Erin’s dad. It featured bud vases with each guest’s name and table number — guests could bring their vase to their seat and take it home at the end of the night as a keepsake and favor. We also incorporated thoughtful touches like parasol umbrellas for the ceremony, adding both charm and comfort to the day.

Our overall vision was to create a peaceful, garden party atmosphere. For the longest time, we didn’t even refer to it as a wedding — we simply called it “the party.” We wanted the day to feel relaxed and joyful, where guests could wander through the gardens with an Aperol Spritz in hand and soak in all the natural beauty around them.

Every year, Christopher and I had a tradition of going to the River Café in DUMBO, Brooklyn, for our Christmas dinner — something we both looked forward to all year. In 2023, as we arrived for what I thought was just another cozy holiday night together, Christopher led me outside by the water. Surrounded by the beautiful Christmas lights and the stunning Manhattan skyline, he got down on one knee and proposed. Afterward, we had an amazing dinner at the River Café — and just when I thought the night couldn’t get any better, Christopher told me that both of our families were waiting down the street at a bar to celebrate with us. It was truly the most magical winter day in New York City, and I wouldn’t change a single thing about it.

My dress originally came with detachable off-the-shoulder puff sleeves, which I loved. But I wanted it to feel a bit more custom and personal. During alterations, I had the seamstress attach the sleeves and reposition them as on-the-shoulder sleeves instead. The dress was made from a beautiful taffeta fabric with a slight sheen and featured a cowl neckline. To complement the garden aesthetic, I paired it with a floral veil that tied everything together perfectly.

For cocktail hour, we offered a mix of passed appetizers and crudité stations. Some of our favorites included prosciutto and melon skewers, basil and watermelon bruschetta, one-bite wagyu cheeseburgers, and peppered tuna. In keeping with our garden party aesthetic, we wanted the food to feel fresh, seasonal, and light. For our entrées, we chose Tuscan Lemon Chicken and Roasted Salmon from Seedling and Sage. We wanted the menu to feel summery and light to complement the garden party aesthetic. Our signature drink was an Aperol Spritz — our go-to cocktail and a perfect fit for the garden vibes. The Spritzes were garnished with editable florals from Waverly Flower Co. We named it “Blue’s Aperol Spritz” in honor of our golden retriever pup, Blue.

Erin didn’t want to compete with the beauty of the flower garden, so she chose not to include florals for the ceremony. The girls’ bouquets were dainty and mixed floral,s highlighting the soft yet colorful palette she had chosen for the day. The reception was set with long farmhouse tables with florals on each table. When entering the reception, guests were greeted with a vase and floral to find their seat!

We had a lemon raspberry jam cake from New June Bakery in Philadelphia. It was incredibly delicious and refreshing — a perfect match for the garden setting. Our florist, Waverly Flower Co., adorned it with homegrown flowers, adding a beautiful, personal touch.

[field title=”Special Detail #1″]I wanted to surprise Christopher with something that would honor his late mom. Behind the scenes, I worked with our best friend and officiant, Elisabeth, to plan something truly meaningful. Together, we decided on a butterfly release during the ceremony. We didn’t tell anyone until the day of — just quietly looping in Christopher’s brother, Luke, along with our photographer and videographer.
During the ceremony, Elisabeth took a moment to acknowledge and remember Christopher’s mom. Then, Luke — his best man — released the butterflies. They flew gently between us, with a few even landing in our bouquets. It was truly magical.
After the ceremony, we slipped away in private to release the rest of the butterflies. But they didn’t fly far — one landed on my bouquet, and another rested on Christopher’s boutonniere. I don’t know how else to describe it — it felt supernatural, peaceful, and deeply meaningful. A moment we’ll never forget.[/field]

We chose Morris Arboretum as our venue because we were set on having an outdoor wedding. After touring several locations, Erin’s mom suggested we check it out — she had grown up visiting the arboretum and thought it might be a good fit. As soon as we saw it, we fell in love, especially with the Rose Garden, which was bursting with natural beauty. As a bonus, the venue offers a clear-top tent for just one weekend each year — and, incredibly, that date was still available. It felt like fate. The setting was everything we had hoped for and more.

[field title=”Special Detail #3″]Choosing a venue with natural beauty was one of the best decisions we made — it took so much pressure off the smaller details, knowing the setting could speak for itself. Picking a space that truly felt like “us” made the day even more special and authentic. And while everyone says it, it’s absolutely true: the day flies by. Try to be as present and in the moment as possible — it’s those little moments you’ll cherish the most.

A Classic Wedding Blending Refined Elegance and Soft Blue Romance

The couple offered their guests a full bar with wine, beer, spirits, and non-alcoholic options, and toasted their nuptials with a couple of Miller Lites. Waitstaff with trays of canapes made their rounds during cocktail hour, and guests had the option of chicken piccata, filet mignon, or spaghetti puttanesca for dinner.

Lush white hydrangeas, roses, and lilies brought a garden party aesthetic to Taylor & Domenic’s wedding day. From the floral accents on Taylor’s gown and her bridesmaids’ dresses to the delicate greenery painted on the china, botanical decor peeked out at every turn.

Having Italian roots on the groom’s side, the couple had the priest perform a portion of the ceremony in Italian. The couple’s first dance was to a song from the groom’s favorite movie, About Time. She immediately knew it would be perfect for their first dance since it came from Domenic’s favorite movie.

In addition to the classic first look with her dad, Taylor also did a separate first look with her brother and her fiancé’s brothers. It was so special to witness the joy that they had seeing their sister and future sister-in-law ready to walk down the aisle!

During the ceremony, Taylor and Domenic used a silver cup for communion that was used by the bride’s great-great-grandmother while she was a student at Saint Mary’s in 1894. With their ceremony taking place at Saint Mary’s, it was incredibly special to tie in this Saint Mary’s family heirloom.

The bride and groom’s signature drinks were Guinness and Peroni (respectively) to represent the bride’s Irish heritage and the groom’s Italian heritage, and the embossing on their wedding invitations was made to match the embossed pattern that the bride’s parents had on their own wedding invitations.
