There are a lot (A LOT) of reasons I adore Texas weddings, but ranking high atop the list? All of the creative details you lovelies manage to infuse into your big days. Take for example this sweet Austin duo, who took their love of design and architecture and created one crazy gorgeous memory after another with custom designed invites, DIY favors and a whole lot of woodworking. A day that will most definitely go down in SMP history? Yes, indeed. See every last moment captured by the amazing Eclectic Images Photography in the full gallery.
And a little extra sweetness with a beautiful film from Photography by Vanessa…
From Eclectic Images Photography… Kelsey and Alex are both architects and their wedding really reflected their passion for design and architecture. They custom designed their own laser cut wedding invites (using the laser wood cutting machine at their school to make the invites). Their design for the invites was based on the architecture of the chapel they chose to have their ceremony, which was designed by a University of Texas architect in the 1960′s (I believe). Alex is a master woodworker so they made their own modern wooden candle holders and containers. They made their own favors of jam and posted photos of them making the jam at their wedding check in table. They used vintage furniture to accent the architecture of the reception venue.
