A Sophisticated Wedding in Tuscany at Castello Di Celsa

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]Claire and Jack’s sophisticated elegance is reflected in every aspect of their wedding. Using a palette of delicate tones, antique pink, white, peach and a touch of green, they built the story of a unique day immersed in all the charm of this ancient residence, amidst the rolling hills and sun-kissed vineyards of Tuscany. [/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]
The overall aesthetic vision was closely connected to the magical and elegant atmosphere of the castle; the couple wanted to give their families and guests a romantic and dreamlike experience in a sophisticated setting, with particular attention to detail and Italian food.[/field]

[field title=”Food & Drink”]Special attention was given to selecting a menu that reflected Tuscan tradition with a touch of modernity. For the first courses, the couple chose ricotta and lemon ravioli, with asparagus cream and candied lemon zest and a typical tuscan pasta “mezzipaccheri” with duck ragu, sage raspberries. While the main course consisted of meat, a fillet of beef, Chianti classico jus and sage roast potatoes.
To accompany the dishes, they chose a selection of Italian white and red wines.[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]The floral decorations in shades of white, pink, peach with a touch of light green reflected the overall palette of the event, imparting a sense of understated elegance in harmony with the prestigious estate. The bouquet of roses and white flowers, with olive branches and eucalyptus, was a perfect accessory for Claire’s ethereal beauty. The ceremony took place in the castle’s Italian gardens, beneath a round rose arch adorned with blooms. As for the reception, the newlyweds and their guests made their way to the castle courtyard, where tables adorned with flickering candles and fragrant flowers awaited them. The round tables were adorned with tall floral centerpieces, featuring cascading roses, white blooms and greenery.
The imperial table for the newlyweds was adorned with crystal centerpieces, white flowers, roses, and greenery. The overall view was completed with a golden touch provided by the Chiavari chairs as seating.[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]The wedding cake, assembled on-site by the catering pastry chef, was a millefeuille with chantilly cream, almond brittle and wild raspberries.[/field]

A Magical Miami Wedding Filled With Fun And Fantastic Florals

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]

For the wedding, a mix of pastels, white/ivory, soft peach and blush, organically styled blooms. For the Sangeet, bright bursts of color: mustard, coral, peaches.

[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

For their #NicoleConqueredTheSumit wedding, they wanted to celebrate their different backgrounds. They chose Vizcaya Museum And Gardens in Miami as their venue, since it was a good meeting point for guests flying in from India, Puerto Rico, Mexico, the U.K., and other places.

After dating for five years (some of that long distance between San Francisco and New York), he got down on one knee during a summer picnic at the Montauk Lighthouse.

To find her outfit, Nicole took a trip to India with Sumit’s mother, sisters, and her mom. “After taking a walk in the Delhi Emporio Mall, I quickly realized that Anita Dongre was the right designer for me. She is known for her gota-patti work—a traditional Rajasthani embroidery technique that’s been popular since the Mughal era and uses small pieces of ribbon made from fine gold and silver threads. Her designs are inspired by Rajasthan—the area of India where Sumit’s family is from,” the bride says. For Saturday’s ceremony, Nicole knew she wanted to wear something light-weight and romantic. Mark Ingram Atelier was having a Mira Zwillinger trunk show the day she visited, and a strapless, hand-beaded, A-line tulle gown immediately caught her eye. “It was simple yet had just enough hand-stitched details to make it feel special. I grew up figure skating through college, and this reminded me of that aesthetic,” the bride says. For the after-party, she bought a Johanna Ortiz one-shoulder ruffled dress on sale and paired it with a Magic Midnight traditional Colombian headpiece.

[/field]
[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]An Indian designer that Sumit’s family has been going to for years helped me custom-make their colorful lehengas in colors matching the embroidery of my lehenga.
For Saturday, I let the girls choose a floral, pastel dress of their choosing. [/field]

A Modern Summer Al Fresco Wedding In Italy

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”] The color palette of antique pink and yellow, green, terracotta orange set the stage for a vibrant and unforgettable affair, reflecting the uniqueness and richness of the love shared between the two grooms.[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

The wedding style was freely inspired by the venue, the Convento Dell Annunciata. It was the first and only place the couple visited, and it was love at first sight, despite the visit taking place in February with rain and fog: even though the weather conditions were not optimal, the place conveyed a special magic, and both Marco and Andrea immediately identified the perfect spaces and corners to celebrate their story. The couple then chose pastel colors that perfectly matched the structure: the antique pink and yellow of the frescoes and walls, the brick color of the roofs, and the lush greenery of the Convent’s beautiful park. These delicate yet strongly characterized colors were the starting point for the entire event organization.

[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]Marco proposed to Andrea on Christmas Eve 2021. It was a proposal that had been planned for some time and took place in their home. That evening they went out for dinner, and Marco’s intention was to take Andrea to Piazza Duomo in Milan afterward to propose surrounded by the beautiful Christmas atmosphere. However, Andrea had just finished a night shift at the hospital and was quite tired, so they opted to go straight home. Once they arrived, under the guise of exchanging gifts, Marco gave Andrea a crossword puzzle, telling him that by solving the game, he would find the name of his gift. The crossword puzzle had been constructed using questions related to their story, their memories, and their characteristics. In the end, instead of the name of a gift, the word MARRY ME appeared in the crossword puzzle, and Andrea, surprised, accepted. Then they exchanged rings (Marco had two prepared, one for himself and one for Andrea).[/field]

Both the outfits for the grooms were designed and crafted by the skilled hands of Carlo and Laura from Ostellari Sartoria, who enthusiastically embraced the couples’; ideas. Andrea and Marco opted for white attire, both to honor tradition and to differentiate themselves from the palette chosen for the event. Andrea chose a double-breasted, elegant, and classy model, while Marco opted for a more creative design, characterized by a closure with a pendant-like belt.

[field title=”Food & Drink”]

For the planning of the appetizer and dinner menus, Marco and Andrea relied on the experience and professionalism of T’A Milano, who skillfully combined traditional and refined flavors with a sophisticated and elegant style. Before the ceremony, the couple chose to welcome their guests with a welcome drink, featuring non-alcoholic cocktails, flavored waters, and fruit juices. During the appetizer, various types of finger foods were served, such as Parmigiano Reggiano tacos, whipped codfish, and vegetable caviar, or Chianina beef tartare in a jar with puffed rice crackers and spiced mayonnaise. The rest was served at stations, including a special one specifically requested by the couple: the fried pizza station. For dinner, the newlyweds opted to serve two first courses (Carnaroli Reserve rice, langoustines, lime gel, Martini Dry, followed by “fagottelli”; pasta with trombetta zucchini, turmeric, cacioricotta cheese, Parmesan milk, porcini mushroom pollen) and a second course (Veal fillet cooked at low temperature, with whipped potato puree and zucchini “rocks”).

[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

For the flowers, the couple gave free rein to the expert, Maria Grazia Lo Iacono, who proposed a variety of flowers that fit well with the event’s palette. Among these, Andrea and Marco selected some that, according to them, had the most character and would add a touch of personality to the look and feel of the day. To replace the bouquet, Maria Grazia proposed creating important boutonnieres, which captured the attention of all the guests and, at the end of the wedding, Andrea and Marco had them dried and framed. For the ceremony, the couple chose to give more space to the forest setting rather than adding more greenery; for this reason, the only floral point was a grounded arch, arranged like a big embrace for the couple. Against the backdrop of nature’s splendor, they exchanged vows in a ceremony that spoke of commitment, devotion, and the profound bond they shared. In that area, there is an atmosphere of intimacy and magic that blended perfectly with the rustic style furnishings used for the ceremony, such as the walnut-colored wooden chairs with crossed coppery iron backrests and rattan seats, and the welcome bags made of recycled paper, containing a rainbow fan, tissues for happy tears, a mini seating chart for dinner, and insect repellent. After the aperitivo, the festivities continued in the grove, where a clearing surrounded by trees and woods served as the enchanting setting for the wedding dinner. Three imperial tables, adorned with candles and fairy lights, awaited the guests, inviting them to partake in a truly culinary journey 100% made in Italy. For the table, matched with the flowers, Maria Grazia chose to use white textured vases and terracotta-pink ones, along with white ceramic candle holders alternating with gold ones with glass flame. The colors from Andrea and Marco’s palette were reflected in the glasses, plates, and cutlery, creating delicate and elegant shades on the long tables. To achieve an intimate, welcoming, and stunning ambiance, Gionata and the couple chose vintage pendants to illuminate the secret garden nestled in the center of the forest: with their soft light, positioned at different heights on the tables, they warmed up the evening and further embellished the aesthetic.

[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]For the cake, the couple opted for a modern, multi-tiered style, characterized by a terracotta-colored ombre gradient.
For the filling, the sweet and aromatic flavor of pistachio was paired with the slightly tart note of raspberries. The cake was accompanied by a large buffet of desserts, which included small individual portions, dragées, spoon desserts, mini meringues, and signature pralines.[/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]Andrea and Marco chose “All You Need Is Love” by The Beatles as the anthem for their
special day, aiming to further convey their message: that to find balance, to add color to their lives, to live fully, one needs only love. The song was skillfully performed by a string quartet as the entrance music at the beginning of the ceremony.
The couple then decided to involve their closest friends in their first dance, organizing a fun flash mob with accompanying choreography to the tune of “Dancing Queen”: the result was unforgettable![/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]For the stationery the idea was to evoke rounded shapes and semicircles and pair them with groovy-looking fonts, all in terracotta, sage green, mustard yellow, and antique pink tones. Even the pattern, exclusively designed by Iumi for the couple, aimed to capture the playful spirit of the 1960s/1970s. The same elements were echoed in the place cards, mini seating chart, RSVP website, signage at the venue, and even in the wedding favors.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]For a huge step back in time everybody enjoyed the retro charm of a wedding photo booth like no other—an authentic 70s van transformed into a whimsical time capsule of nostalgia and fun.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]From the couple “For us the wedding was not meant to be just a simple celebration of their love but a fundamental opportunity to convey values such as family, acceptance, inclusion, and the foundational principles on which to build a life together. And it was exactly what it happened, we can not be more than happy about it!”[/field]

An Intimate 45-Person Wedding at Park Winters Where Love Is in the Details

[field title=”Food & Drink”]One of our favorite parts of the day was the passed sparkling wine for guests as they entered the event, pre ceremony. This really set the tone for an elegant garden party wedding and was such a surprise and delight for guests as they entered.

Going along with the dinner party vibe, the couple decided to go with a family style meal, especially with their layout of two long dinner tables. Dinner was really the focal point of the event, not necessarily because of the food, but because they loved the idea of everyone sitting together and just spending time with one another. [/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]We wanted the florals to make a statement but also didn’t want to overdo it because of how beautiful the venue is! We decided to go with a floor semi circle at the altar which wrapped around the couple and then two extra large arrangements at the back of the aisle to make a statement with the chairs and the parasols. For dinner, we went a bit more dainty and minimal with pretty bud vases and a lot of candles which complimented the string lights above the table. [/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]Instead of a wedding cake, Rochelle and Peter decide to have a gelato cart! This was such a fun moment for guests post dinner and they were able to get the cutest photos![/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”][/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]Rochelle and Peter decided to write letters to each one of their guests which doubled as a place card at each guests’ seat. They worked with Kelly of Paper By The Bay to bring this vision to life. Kelly also created beautiful details to include bar signage and the cutest reserved signs that hung perfectly on our ceremony chairs.[/field]

Minimalistic Aesthetic and Neutral Hues at Carneros Resort and Spa

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]The color palette revolves around shades of white, beige and brown, creating a clean and organic minimalist aesthetic.
[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]The design is classic but organic- the couple wanted something natural that reflected their taste. In Alexa’s words, “We are both minimalists- and love neutral colors. We wanted the dinner party to feel warm as if our guests could be in
our (future) home. We also wanted the design to feel like Napa- which is expressed in the warm wood of the chairs, chocolate brown chargers, neutral napkins, and off white accents.” Burke Events executed the couple’s vision flawlessly. [/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]Alexa and Joe met on Hinge in February 2020- a few weeks before Covid lockdown. After some time of being at home together- they needed a change of scenery outside of LA. Road trips to Napa became frequent and it became one of their favorite places to visit. When travel was allowed internationally, their first big trip together was to the City of Light, which ended with a Parisian proposal. [/field]

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]The use of all-white flowers added a timeless and classic touch to this modern wedding. Flowers by Edgar created one of a kind floral arrangements combining various textures, shapes, and shades of white to create a harmonious and enchanting display. With a myriad of White Majolika and Vandela Roses, Stock and Calla Lilies, the aisle and the chuppah created an extravagant statement. The reception flowers incorporated White Scabiosa, Poppies and the Anemones with their striking black centers for contrast in the arrangements. To finish off the night with a bang, Burke Events and Flowers by Edgar created a timeless black and white checkered dance floor, with a sky of disco balls and luminous greenery. [/field]

[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]Since the couple’s families are Jewish, the wedding ceremony highlighted Jewish traditions. Starting with a private signing of Ketubah and ending with the favorite stomping on the glass to the joyful sound of Mazel Tov.

As the dance floor was revealed to guests after the dinner, the couple started the party with First dance song, Is this love by Luke Burr performed by De Bois Band. [/field]

Debra took small flowers from Alexa’s Mom’s wedding gown and elegantly sprinkled them across the bottom of the cathedral length veil. And to keep her Grandmother, Baba, close to her at the wedding, Alexa added her Baba’s gemstone butterfly brooch to her bouquet. [/field]

Coastal Elegance in Blues and Greens at the Corinthian Yacht Club in Marblehead

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]The wedding palette was carefully curated to encompass serene shades of blues, greens, and neutrals, including creamy tones, soft ivories, and the rustic allure of aged pottery and woven basket textures.[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

The wedding was carefully planned to reflect the beautiful coastal landscape, with the Corinthian Yacht Club in Marblehead, Massachusetts serving as a focal point. This venue was special to the couple as it was a place where they have bonded over their love for sailing and created many memories together. Marblehead, as a whole, has a special place in their hearts, providing the perfect backdrop for sharing their love story with guests coming from different parts of the country. The design was inspired by the rustic charm of old-world coastal cottages, featuring a palette of blue and green hues, block-printed linens from Stradley Davidson, natural textures, and carefully curated hard goods. The florals, crafted by Kerianne Nelson Floral, were designed to exude organic and textural beauty in shades of white, blue, and verdant greenery. Candles in varying shades of blue and green, potted herbs, and plants added character and allure to the tablescapes. Each guest was presented with bespoke menus from Peak Event Services, and the head table featured place cards nestled within small clay potted plants, hand-lettered with guests’ names by Pretty in Ink. Every element was chosen carefully to evoke a timeless charm and relaxed sophistication. From the weathered woods to rustic accents, every detail enveloped guests in a warm embrace of coastal comfort and nostalgic serenity, ensuring a truly unforgettable celebration.

[field title=”Food & Drink”]Katherine and Pat aimed to showcase New England’s delectable flavors through their menu, taking guests on a culinary journey to explore the region’s rich gastronomic heritage. During the mingling time, guests enjoyed delightful passed hors d’oeuvres, including tantalizing Lobster Corn Fritters and indulgent Clam Chowder Shooters, which captured the essence of coastal indulgence. The esteemed Island Creek Oyster added to the experience with an unforgettable live shucking display at an exquisite raw bar, tantalizing taste buds with the freshest seafood flavors. During cocktail hour, mini martinis were served as a tribute to Katherine & Pat’s favorite date night: sipping martinis on the CYC porch on warm summer evenings.

For the main course, guests could choose from locally sourced haddock or succulent beef tenderloin, with each dish celebrating the bounty of New England’s land and sea. As the evening progressed, late-night cravings were satisfied with irresistible grilled cheese fries, roast beef sliders, an iconic dish of Boston’s North Shore, and an enticing ice cream bar, ensuring guests danced into the night with satisfied appetites.

Signature drinks such as the refreshing Paloma and the iconic Dark and Stormy were expertly crafted to complement the culinary offerings. For those opting for a non-alcoholic option, the Marblehead Spritz is delighted with its sparkling blend of local blackberry, honey, and mint, offering a refreshing sip of regional flavors.[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

The wedding’s paper and stationery were an enchanting centerpiece to the overall design. They showcased exquisite painted watercolor artwork byWouldn’t It Be Lovely. Each piece had intricate details, including a custom interlocking monogram and a beautiful portrait of the Corinthian Yacht Club with Marblehead Light gracing the background. Caitlin from Wouldn’t it Be Lovely captured the essence of Katherine and Pat’s love story by painting their sailboat, which became a cherished focal point throughout the paper. The stationery flawlessly tied together the entire design concept by incorporating scalloped edges and delicate blue and green patterns inspired by the Stradley Davidson Linen Collective. This cohesive aesthetic extended to the menus, signs, and table numbers, where the same watercolor style and attention to detail were evident. This created a harmonious and enchanting atmosphere that captivated guests from the moment they received their invitations.

[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]

Katherine and Pat’s wedding cake came from Montilio’s, a renowned bakery that also made the iconic cake for John F. and Jackie Kennedy’s wedding. The couple decided to serve this as one of the flavors for their guests in addition to Italian Olive Oil and Mocha Marble. The Presidential White Cake comprises three layers of delicate white cake, generously filled with luscious raspberry preserves and frosted with a delightful raspberry frosting. The cake is adorned with sweet vanilla buttercream, and it has a long-standing legacy as it has graced the tables of notable occasions, including President Kennedy’s Inaugural Ball in 1961. The cake’s popularity continued as Presidents Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush chose it for their Inaugural Balls, solidifying its place in culinary history.

[field title=”Special Detail #1″]

Katherine and Pat had made it a top priority to create a leisurely timeline leading up to their wedding. This allowed them to enjoy precious moments with their loved ones before the festivities began. One of their pre-wedding relaxation highlights was sharing drinks with their wedding party at Maddie’s Sail Loft, a beloved local haunt in the heart of a historic seaport town with ties to the American Revolution. As soon as they stepped through the doors of Maddie’s Sail Loft, they were enveloped in Marblehead’s rich history. The walls were adorned with antique fishing memorabilia, and locals shared tales of the town’s maritime past. Despite its storied past, Maddie’s seamlessly blended old-world charm with modern comforts. This laid-back gathering provided the perfect prelude to the wedding celebrations, reflecting the couple’s easygoing nature and deep bonds with their friends. It set the tone for a day filled with joy, laughter, and cherished memories, perfectly encapsulating the essence of Katherine, Pat, and their friendships.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]

The wedding ceremony took place at Crocker Park, which is renowned for its breathtaking views of Marblehead Harbor. The picturesque setting was chosen carefully for its scenic beauty and strategic vantage point, offering glimpses of the Corinthian Yacht Club, the reception venue, across the water. Every detail of the ceremony was thoughtfully curated to complement the natural splendor of the surroundings. The grounds were decorated with a magnificent floral arch, which framed the couple as they exchanged vows without detracting from the panoramic vista. Guests were seated in elegant bamboo chairs adorned with charming tassel umbrellas placed throughout the space to ensure comfort and style. As Katherine and Pat made their joyful exit, a string quartet from Speechless Music filled the air with a stirring rendition of “Can’t Help Falling in Love,” adding a touch of timeless romance to the momentous occasion. After the ceremony, the newlyweds embarked on a unique journey. They departed from a boat launch at Crocker Park, crossed the harbor by boat, and arrived at their cocktail reception. This created an unforgettable and enchanting transition between the ceremony and the celebration.

Elegant Black-Tie Summer Wedding With a Classic Napa Valley Feel

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]Champagne, white and black with natural and textural touches.
Black tie wedding. [/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

From Erin: Cali and Justin’s wedding was truly a timeless and elegant black-tie wedding with a classic Napa Valley feel. We wanted to incorporate the landscape into their wedding design and feel like their wedding really was part of the rolling hills of the Carneros Region. I worked closely with Cali and her Mom on all the little details of the day that made it unique and special. The lighted tent structure by Bright rentals was truly a show stopper and set the tone for an amazing night of celebration with family and dear friends! Their wedding was an overall white and ivory palette with an ode to timeless romance in the garden. White blooms, lush greenery, and touches of black details were carried throughout the whole design. Everything was perfectly captured with Caitlin O’Reilly behind the lens. Cali and Justin are the sweetest and the whole team loved bringing their day together for them and their dear families!

[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]It all began on Cali’s first day of her new job in NYC. Cali was on her way to her desk when Justin first spotted her. Justin turned to his friend and said, “I’m never going to be able to get any work done.”

It didn’t take long for Justin to come up with multiple excuses a day to go over to Cali’s desk. “Do you have a pen?” It’s an office, every single person has a pen. The small talk continued, multiple work outings and late nights were had- they were becoming closer than ever.

Eventually, Cali was able to score Warrior tickets from work. Somehow Justin finagled his way into getting the second ticket and the two went to their first of many Knicks vs Warriors games together. It must have been when the Knicks were losing by 20 that Justin realized Cali is the one for him.[/field]

[field title=”Food & Drink”]We built the menu with the wonderful culinary team at Carneros resort. We kept the food farm-to-table with an ode to Napa Valley and Northern California. A beautiful mix from the garden, sea and land. The wine for the evening was generously donated by Chuck Wager of Caymus Vineyards and The Wager Family of Wines, he is a dear friend of the Grandparents of the Bride.
Tray passed champagne upon arrival to the ceremony started the afternoon off just right, signature cocktails were enjoyed at cocktail hour, and delicious drinks and beautiful food were abundant throughout the evening ending with late night bites of mini cheeseburgers and fries and mini Irish coffees
topped with whipped cream & Carneros Resort’s famous Boon Fly Donuts![/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]Darwin from Florali knocked it out of the park with the floral design, flowing greenery, beautiful texture, and floral elements that looked as if they were sourced directly from the hillsides of South Napa and the gardens at the resort. One of my absolute favorite details of Cali and Justin’s evening was the custom hand painted seating wall designed by Shimmer & Stain and the foliage by Florali that accompanied the design. Simply perfect![/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]We had a blast cake tasting and bringing this beauty to life with the team at Flour & Bloom. Cali and Justin settled on three flavors for their cake, Almond Apricot, Vanilla Raspberry and Chocolate Chip Cake with Caramel Buttercream.
The 4-tier cake was covered in fondant and finished with focal points of handmade white sugar flowers of garden roses and peonies.

[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]Beautiful words of love, a special wine sharing ceremony, the stomping of the glass, and celebration! [/field]

[field title=”Special Detail #2″]The 50’x110′ open tent structure was created by Bright rentals and covered with 9,325 linear feet of twinkle lights. They brought our vision to life perfectly, it was a design request from the start of planning and really set the tone for the reception. The structure over the head table was a little something special for the bride and groom and wedding party. The foliage and greenery that was interwoven into the structure was simply lovely and felt like it belonged up at Carneros Hilltop. [/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]Cali had a great time getting ready for her wedding with her ladies and the Bella Bridal Team. The bride wowed guests with two stunning looks. She started the day in the Monique Lhuillier Buckingham gown, that she styled like the Lila dress. Cosmos Club provided guests with an exquisite meal, and they also noshed on canapés, cocktails, and dessert. The couple shared a special toast with their guests as a tribute to something they do at home. They call it “victory juice” and toast with Blanton’s whenever either of them has a big success at work or otherwise, so they had victory juice at their wedding to toast to their biggest accomplishment yet– getting married!

[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

Inspired by the royal wedding, the couple chose to highlight the stunning backdrop of the Cosmos Club with complimentary floral and design elements. Alexandra Berry Events and Floral & Bloom Designs executed this task beautifully, with romantic and classic floral design and soft, glowy candles. The lightness of the tablescapes allowed for the beautiful and intricate moulding, artwork, and light fixtures of the Cosmos Club to shine.

[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]As another tribute to the royal wedding, the couple chose a classic-style tiered cake with their initials subtly monogrammed on it. The cake was surrounded by a garden bed of florals, which created the perfect vignette.[/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]Because they were wed in a Catholic ceremony and didn’t share personal vows, the couple shared heartfelt, personal toasts that allowed them an opportunity to share their feelings toward one another in front of all in attendance. They danced to “Our Song” by Ellie Goulding for their first dance and ended the night with “Don’t You Forget About Me” by Simple Minds. [/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]They have a running joke that they are “and” people (they like to do everything, instead of choosing between things), so they incorporated the “&” in their monogram and throughout their paper goods (invitations, wax seals on escort cards, menus, cake, favors, etc.).[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]Because the couple work in D.C., we had to highlight some district flare and take photographs at the Supreme Court and Capitol Building. [/field]

Romantic Provencal Wedding at Bastide de Gordes, France

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]Seasalt, Sage, Columbia Blue, Bone[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]Choosing Airelles Bastide de Gordes as the venue for our wedding was an easy decision, given our shared passion for exceptional food and wine. From the moment we set foot on the property and were warmly welcomed by their exceptional staff, we felt like we had arrived home. As we strolled down to the location where our dinner and reception would unfold, the air was filled with the intoxicating scent of fresh jasmine, gracefully draping down the side of the stone building. It was a moment of sheer enchantment, and in that instant, we knew without a doubt that this was the place where our dream wedding would come to life. The picturesque skyline, meandering streets, and cobblestone paths of this enchanting town set the stage for an extraordinary celebration. It was a chance for our guests to immerse themselves in the beauty of
a place they had not yet experienced, adding a touch of wanderlust to our love story.[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]Greg and I fell in love at the beach as many of our dates included rosè sunsets or walks on the beach with our puppy, Winston. It was only natural for Greg to absolutely surprise me with a beautiful sunset proposal on the beach that brought our lives so much joy. As an extensive planner, Greg really surprised me by recommending a casual beach walk after hosting friends in our home during a long summer weekend. We were in our sweatpants and sweatshirts, relaxed and enjoying time together as a couple during the most perfect evening. While walking the beach, chatting about the beautiful life we had built together, the bright future we had and the love for one another, Greg dropped to one knee and popped the question. We left the next day for our trip to France where we then found our dream wedding venue. [/field]

[field title=”Food & Drink”]Our wedding menu was crafted by the chef of The Bastide de Gordes where we started off with Passed canapes such as Comte Cheese Gougere, Parmesan shortbread, fresh goat cheese, Melon balls and parma ham, Salmon gravlax and nori, avocado and crab tartlet with a white and rose wine selection, Champage Deutz and his and her cocktails Fleur de Sureau and a Rubis Negroni. For the dinner, we had a few selections for guests but our favorite was the menu starting with an amuse bouche of Stuffed zucchini flower, a starter of duck fois gras, an entreplat of lobster & terragon puntalette pasta, followed by the main of roasted veal loin. We then dined on a buffet of assorted french cheeses and a traditional french “croquembouche” with artisanal ice creams.

[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]We envisioned a classic Provencal garden for our wedding design and was so beautifully curated by our florist Cecile from Capucine Atelier Floral. The ceremony took place on the terrace of the Bastide de Gordes, overlooking the Luberon valley, which was an amazing backdrop and view for our guests. Afterwards, our cocktail hour kicked off the evening, and keeping in line with our decor and palette, NKT Events curated the most elegant provencal garden aesthetic with custom table linens from Gold Leaf Brides and floral garden escort card station for our guests. Our guests were also given the opportunity to select their own Provencale inspired soaps from Rose & Marius to bring home with them as a souvenir from our wedding weekend. We then moved to the reception which was held on another terrace at the Bastide de Gordes, where our florist designed a beautiful 10 meter table with a floral runner down the center. It truly was a vision that I had dreamed about and seeing it right before me, made my heart skip a beat.[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]We felt that a traditional wedding cake was a bit predictable, so why not
embrace the essence of the beautiful Provencal countryside we were in? Instead of a cake, we delighted our guests with a dessert cheese table as our wedding cake. Alongside it, we featured a croquembouche adorned with sparkling sparklers, making it a fun and whimsical addition to our celebration. It was a joyful and delectable twist on tradition, adding a touch of excitement and playfulness to our special day![/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”][/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]Among the many highlights of our wedding, one cherished moment stands out – the private exchange of our vows during our first look outside Maison Constance. As we stood amidst the charming homes of Gordes, down a cobblestone path that seemed straight out of a fairytale, we shared a deeply intimate connection. It was a moment where we reflected on the special memories and shared experiences that had brought us to this very point in our journey together. Surrounded by the beauty of the setting and the love that enveloped us, we exchanged vows that were truly from the heart.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]In a break from tradition that felt just right for us, we decided to have our first dance as husband and wife immediately following our first kiss. With our dear family and friends seated beneath the enchanting floral archway, we were serenaded by our fantastic quartet playing our chosen wedding song. Under the bloom-covered arch, we swayed to the music, gazing into each other eyes, with the picturesque Luberon as our backdrop. It truly felt like a dream come true, a moment we will hold close to our hearts forever[/field]

A Breathtaking Affair at the Stunning Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]

The wedding colors were pastel pinks with accents of blue and purple.

[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

The pastel pink facade of the Villa itself and the gardens surrounding it created such a beautiful, fairy tale setting, and the view from the Florentine Gardens of the bay of Villefranche created an incredibly romantic backdrop for the ceremony. Yishu had visited the location 5 years prior and fallen in love with the venue (before she and Taylor ever met!). We also wanted to get married in a place with predictably warm (but not hot) weather with beautiful natural surroundings and a view of the water. The Villa Ephrussi was perfect because it is situated in the south of France with very little rain and perfect weather in September. We pictured a romantic outdoor setting at sunset with ample florals and foliage, and a dinner softly lit by an abundance of candles. We wanted an intimate and elegant wedding where we would have a chance of spending time with each of our guests. With almost all of our guests traveling from the United States, we wanted to make sure that it was a memorable experience for them as well as us. The Villa Ephrussi De Rothschild was the perfect setting for us that offered both elegance and also an intimate setting in the gardens.

[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]We met in mid-2020 through a mutual friend who Taylor knew from work and Yishu knew from high school. This friend (Rebecca) was determined to find Taylor a wife and thought Yishu was just the right match for him. Since it was the middle of COVID, we had several weeks of text walls, video chats, and virtual movie dates before we finally met in person fully masked up and socially distanced at a pier on Long Island. Even though we could only see half of each other’s faces and couldn’t eat or drink together, 5 hours somehow passed before either of us realized it. After several more weeks of shuttling between Long Island and Manhattan, we decided to make it official. And the rest, as they say, is history.

We were on vacation in Crete in the fall of 2022 and the last stop on the trip was a gorgeous beach called Balos Beach. As a photography enthusiast, Taylor had brought his camera and tripod and convinced Yishu to take a walk with him on the beach under the guise of finding a secluded place to take a nice photo. Yishu thought it was funny that Taylor had brought a tripod to the beach, but didn’t think much of it since Taylor has always been very into photography. After getting Yishu in position and setting up the photo, Taylor got down on one knee and proposed (much to Yishu’s complete surprise!).

Yishu tried on at least 50 dresses before she found “the one”. All the dresses were beautiful, as wedding dresses are, but none gave her that spark, until she found her dress – the Utopia by Galia Lahav. She never thought she would want a ball gown but this one was elegant and dramatic with a beautiful train, yet whimsical, with sheer fabric and appliqués that gave the dress an ethereal quality that fit perfectly with the magic of the Villa Ephrussi De Rothschild gardens. She fell in love instantly when she put it on, and she knew it was the dress. Taylor had his tuxedo made by a tailor in NYC called Bindle and Keep. He thought he was going to get a more traditional tuxedo, but after Yishu showed the tailor her dress, the tailor convinced Taylor that a velvet tuxedo would be more appropriate for the occasion so that Yishu’s dress wouldn’t “drown him out.”

[field title=”Food & Drink”]

The wedding events started with a welcome dinner of hors-d’oeuvres style bites and cocktails at Le Plongeoir, a restaurant situated right on the water where guests were able to walk around and mingle and watch the sunset over the Mediterranean. The following day was the wedding catered by Potel et Chabot where lobster in a mango passion fruit dressing was served for the starter. The choice of entrées were duck with honey lemon glaze and foie gras crisp or a sole spiral with wasabi potato purée, kefir shea butter, and trout and herring roe. On the third day, guests were invited to Baia Bella, a beach restaurant, to enjoy a farewell brunch and some time at the beach.

[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]The ceremony took place in the Florentine Garden of the Villa – an intimate setting nestled in a magical part of the garden that overlooks the Mediterranean. The ceremony took place during golden hour, right before sunset, and we said our vows as the sky turned into soft pinks and oranges that reflected in the water below. The florals featured an abundant display of roses, hydrangeas, and clematis in soft pinks, cream, blues, and purples, which beautifully complemented the lush greenery of the garden for the ceremony and cocktails as well as the soft pink facade of the Villa for the dinner.
[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]Neither of us was that enthralled with wedding cakes, so we opted for what we thought was a more “France appropriate” dessert, the croquembouche. We were a little sad when one of the caterers we spoke to said that “for some reason, all American couples want a croquembouche,” because we felt that we had fallen into a tourist trap, but we went ahead with it anyway and loved it!
[/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]Our wedding was officiated by a close friend (Rohan) who poetically captured the essence of our relationship so beautifully. He delivered a wonderful speech about how we are two very different people who have taken steps for and towards each other to become stronger and better together.

We both did some competitive ballroom dance while in college, so when we were thinking about what we wanted to do for our first dance, we thought it would be a nice treat for our guests to be able to put on a performance. We worked with a dance instructor at a local studio in NYC who choreographed the dance for us, and 20-or-so lessons later, we had our dance, which was a mix of Rumba, Waltz, and Tango dances, complete with lifts and dips for some extra pizazz. [/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]Yishu: There were so many memorable moments. Perhaps the most memorable were during the ceremony – from the moment the string trio began playing “A Thousand Years” and I started walking down the aisle to meet Taylor at the end…to the moment we walked triumphantly back down the aisle together, as husband and wife. When I was reciting my vows and got to the part about just how lucky I felt to have found so many wonderful things in one partner, I broke down because it really hit me how lucky I truly was and how happy I would be to have Taylor by my side for the rest of my life. And when I made my promises to Taylor, I could see him visibly tear up and get emotional about the life we would build together. We laughed and cried throughout the ceremony and it was all so beautifully raw and real.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]Taylor: One of the memorable moments of the day was our first look, when I saw Yishu for the first time. I had been warned that the dress was dramatic, but still nothing prepared me for the reality. I turned from side to side taking it all in – the sheer magnitude of the dress, but also the reality of my beautiful bride standing in front of me, ready to take this leap into our future together. And when she began to walk down the aisle, I took a deep breath as it hit me that this was all becoming reality, in front of our closest friends and family. It was surreal in the strangest, most wonderful way.[/field]

You’ll Love The Charming Details Of This Classic Florida Wedding

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]

My stationer, Blythe Holliday Designs, and I collaborated to craft the perfect blueprint for my wedding day. Envisioning turquoise blues and rich greens, I shared my vision with Blythe. She brilliantly brought it to fruition by weaving in hydrangeas, scalloped edges, and subtle nods to old Florida throughout the intricate details and design.

[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

After patiently waiting a year following the hurricane, we finally had the chance to bring our dream wedding to life—a bittersweet hiatus that allowed me to reimagine our special day with fresh eyes. Wanting something distinct, we drew inspiration from old Florida, incorporating wicker furniture, shell decor, and nods to the state’s natural beauty. The recent renovation and design of the Gasparilla Inn influenced our vision, steering us towards sleek lines, scalloped edges, and whimsical calligraphy. We opted for clean lines, scalloped edges, and playful calligraphy in our details, along with blue accents, plenty of hydrangeas, and lush garden greens to tie it all together. Blythe worked her magic, crafting a one-of-a-kind dance floor, bar decals, and stunning panels in a dreamy watercolor pattern that really brought everything to life. NK Productions Wedding Planning, our wedding planner, was amazing the day of, as they made sure everything was seamless. My husband got hands-on too, building our escort card display himself—a labor of love. I stumbled upon a gorgeous hydrangea-patterned fabric on Etsy from VK Enterprises, and we used it everywhere: welcome bags, get-ready dresses, and even the cake tablecloth. We went the extra mile, embroidering the pattern onto flowers to help guests find their seats, adding a personal touch that made our seating chart arrangement feel extra special.

[field title=”Proposal Story”]

In September 2018, Annie and Hartwell met through mutual friends at an Auburn football tailgate. From that moment, they were inseparable. Despite living in different cities to pursue their careers, their bond only grew stronger during their chapter of long-distance love. In May 2019, Hartwell returned to Atlanta, where Annie eagerly awaited him. Their love story continued to blossom, filled with travels, shared dreams, and unforgettable moments. On March 31, 2021, Hartwell proposed to Annie at her childhood home, sealing their love with a promise of forever. Little did they know, their journey to the altar would be as eventful as their love story. With plans for an idyllic wedding on the sun-kissed shores of Boca Grande, they faced a challenge when Hurricane Ian disrupted their plans. Determined to give back to the island they cherished, they spent the week of their proposed wedding date aiding in hurricane relief efforts, turning adversity into an opportunity to spread love and kindness. Undeterred, they rescheduled their union for December 2, 2023, on the same beloved island of Boca Grande. Though the countdown from March 31, 2021, to December 2, 2023, felt longer than a double-overtime game, every moment was worth the wait. Through the highs and lows, twists and turns, Hartwell and Annie’s love story remained a testament to the power of love, perseverance, and the beauty of starting each new chapter hand in hand. With hearts full of joy and anticipation, they embarked on the next chapter of their journey, ready to tackle whatever challenges came their way, together.

The food at Boca Bay Pass Club was incredible. We decided on a mixed green salad with fresh strawberries, pickled shallots, spiced pecans, goat cheese and a mango vinaigrette. For the main course we served bronzed grouper and grilled filet. We also had custom his and her’s drink. His was the Old Fashioned and hers was the Aperol Spritz.

[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

One week before Annie and Hartwell’s wedding hurricane Ian made landfall just south of Boca Grande. All flowers had already been ordered for the wedding. Annie and Hartwell and their families decided to offer the flowers for sale with all proceeds going to hurricane relief efforts. For the wedding day the color theme was kept the same, mostly white and green with a few touches of blue. The 5-foot hanging floral installation over the bar was a statement piece in itself. To complete the look, each pillar of the tent and the entry way were decorated with flowers and greenery.

[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]

We wanted the wedding cake to compliment the rest of the design and Julie Deffense Artistry did such an amazing job. The wedding care was alternating layers of raspberry champagne and vanilla cake with a thin layer of raspberry jam and white chocolate Swiss meringue buttercream. The groom’s cake was carrot cake with cream cheese frosting.

[field title=”Special Detail #1″]I aimed for our wedding to have a personal touch. I took the time to handwrite notes to each of our guests, which we tucked into our welcome bags. These bags also included a custom watercolor map of the island, showcasing our favorite spots to eat, stay, and shop. It was heartwarming to see many guests carrying them around all weekend. Furthermore, we hosted a welcome party on Thursday night at my parents’ new home on the island. Additionally, we invited all our guests to join us for a Sunday morning brunch, which I believed was a delightful gesture to express our gratitude for their travels before we embarked on our honeymoon!
[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]In addition to having a live painter paint the couple in front of the church, Annie and Hartwell had another live watercolor artist who painted couples during the cocktail hour and reception. Annie and Hartwell thought of every little detail to make the guest experience special. They offered a weekend full of celebration, along with small details such as custom koozies, matches, the corn hole game, welcome bags, and more. At the reception they topped it off with garlands, light-up rattles, custom hats, a late-night Chick-fil-A snack, and a band who kept everyone dancing the entire night. [/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]Another special detail was that Annie, her mom and her sister wore the same brand of sneakers for dancing. Each of their bouquets also had a butterfly pin heirloom passed down by Annie’s grandmother. [/field]

This concept evolved into a sophisticated Academia-inspired aesthetic, drawing inspiration from the visual allure of the Bridgerton TV series, while intentionally integrating contemporary elements to ensure it remained timeless rather than overly period-centric. Choosing Sunstone Villa as the venue provided the perfect canvas for our vision. We curated a design palette infused with old-world charm and academic motifs, incorporating vintage books, delicate gold accents, classical bust statues, heraldic crests, and abundant florals. To maintain a harmonious balance, we juxtaposed these traditional elements with minimalist tabletop pieces and sleek, clean furnishing.

[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]

The bride and groom opted for a captivating champagne tower drink instead of a traditional wedding cake. Accompanied by a delectable assortment of sweets and a gelato station, their celebration was a sweet symphony of unique flavors and delightful treats, ensuring a memorable culinary experience for all.

[field title=”Special Detail #1″]
The day before their joyous union, the bride and groom paid homage to the bride’s familial heritage by partaking in the revered Paebaek ceremony. Rooted in Korean tradition, the Paebaek symbolizes the blending of two families and the expression of respect to the elders. During this cherished ritual, the couple, adorned in traditional Korean attire, offer deep bows to their parents and receive blessings for a prosperous marriage. They also engage in symbolic gestures, such as catching dates and chestnuts with a silk cloth, representing the future children they hope to welcome into their lives. This poignant ceremony not only honors the bride’s cultural roots but also fosters a profound sense of unity and reverence as they embark on their journey together.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]

While our aesthetic paid homage to academia and tradition, we were careful to ensure that the overall experience was anything but conventional. To infuse the celebration with energy and excitement, we enlisted the talents of DJ, Truthlive, and saxophonist Justin Ward Music. Their dynamic collaboration electrified the atmosphere, captivating guests and igniting the dance floor well into the night. The result was a wedding that exceeded expectations, with Meeri, Alex, and their guests reveling in every detail and moment.

Southern Hospitality Meets French Country Style in Charleston

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]Taupes, greens, blushes, browns[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]When we began the design process with Billy and Thibault, we knew we’d want to keep things feeling masculine, but what we didn’t know was that Thibault had a strong opinion on the softness and romance of the flowers! After having that conversation, the doors opened a bit, and we began to play with patterns and textures to marry this soft-yet-tapered design. Neutrals were key, but to keep it from being boring, we pulled in multiple patterns. A ticking stripe made it’s appearance throughout the design, but Juliska Country Estate dinner plates served as chargers harkening to a “French-country-side-theme.” Blooms of delicate garden roses, queen anne’s lace, lisianthus, and scabiosa created this creamy symphony, and we pulled wooden handled flatware and amber tumblers for fun little pops on the table. A rooftop ceremony can be tricky, because we’re never quite sure of the wind, so we elevated heavy-based compotes on tall wooden tables and used sideboards of green ribbed coupe glasses brimming with champagne and potted plants to greet guests to the stunning space. A sunset did not disappoint. Each design element was personally touched and meant something to the guys. They had a heavy hand in working in tandem with the Vero team to make the resort, where they’d spent many happy days, the ideal place to welcome their families. [/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]Billy and Thibault met years before getting together, but after keeping in touch over social media, they began dating. [field title=”Food & Drink”]Thibault’s family and friends were all traveling from France, so it was very important to him to have them experience Southern cuisine. During cocktails, they passed traditional Southern fare like crab cakes with key lime mustard roulade and local scallops wrapped in bacon and brown sugar. Palomas and French 75s were passed along with the bites, and French champagne topped off guests’ coupe glasses they picked up prior to the ceremony. At dinner, guests dined on filet and halibut while the couple’s friends and family took turns toasting the men and laughs abounded. [/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]Neutrals and soft shades of blushes and mauves and creams lead the floral charge. We wanted to keep all arrangements low to underscore that, while the wedding was black tie, the event was family focused. Leave formality at the door. Andraya Northrup, lead designer and owner of FLORA, focused all arrangements on petal heavy blooms with whimsical textures. We wanted to introduce that masculine element though, so we introduced potted plants on our Champagne-hosting sideboards and a greenery-laden frame to hug the oversized seating chart. It was, again, that play on soft-yet-tapered. Simple, yet impactful. And, as Thibault said, candles, candles, candles. [/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]Thibault and Billy decided to forgo the traditional wedding cake and cake cutting. Rather, they took this opportunity to tap local French chocolatier, Christophe Artisan Chocolatier, to create a selection of French desserts for guests to partake in. Eclairs, croquembouche, and petite macarons went fast as guests made their way to the photobooth after dinner. [/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”][/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]Billy and Thibault live in a stunning home overlooking deep water along the coast of Charleston. We decided to have Erin, of Prairie and Sage, craft a watercolor of the view from their house overlooking the water to be the liner for the envelope of their stunning invitation suite. It just so worked out perfectly that the setting was ideal for their first look on October 28. [/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]The men changed from a traditional tuxedo for the ceremony to white dinner jackets for dinner. The change signified the start of the party. It was a fun surprise for all guests making their way into dinner from cocktail hour as the couple was announced. [/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]Long live the ticking stripe! This simple pattern repeated over our full design. From the vellum belly band of the invitation suite to the menus to the table linen. This simple pattern created dimension and unity throughout the day. [/field]

Whimsical, Elegant Garden Wedding at Eolia Mansion

[section title=”The Planning”]

The inside of Eolia Mansion is designed in the neoclassical style, and the color palette is inspired by “the inside of an oyster shell”. I went with muted jewel tones to compliment the subdued elegance of the space, adding hints of rich purples to accent the centerpieces.

[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

I aimed for lots of variety in floral texture, keeping everything soft, airy, and whimsical. I opted for a neutral color for the gauze table runners in order to keep the focus on the florals, and flanked the centerpieces with dusty rose taper candles.

He surprised me with a little moleskine notebook titled “Our Book of Love”, which he read aloud to me, containing different chapters dedicated to the special memories and milestones of our love story. I went so many different dress boutiques and designers before finally landing on Carol Hannah and my dream wedding dress- “Aurora”. I wanted something ethereal, romantic, textured, and sheer. I felt so beautiful in it!

“It’s Only Time”- The Magnetic Fields Our favorite band and was magical to dance in front of our family and friends to.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]I wanted our wedding to be a reflection of us- what we love and how we love. There were little nods to our story throughout our decor- printed song verses from “The Book of Love”, bird motifs (a mutual love of ours), and antique postcards from the city we met. My passion for antiques/”old things” in general, was evidenced in some of the subtle decor elements and stationery details- the ring boxes, display trays, frames, even a vintage lithograph from the location where Andrew proposed to me. I also found a heart shaped pin with a Dove my nickname for Andrew.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]It was also important to us to find a way to incorporate Andrew’s Chinese heritage into our design choices. Our wedding favors (spun-finish taper candles connected at the wick, to symbolize our union), were stamped with a wax seal containing the double happiness symbol (two joined copies of a Chinese character representing joy and happiness in marriage). We also offered each guest a “takeaway” treat for the road on their way out- a miniature steamer with Chinese black sesame and 5-spice cookies inside (lovingly baked by my sister-in-law!).[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]I’m currently in the process of building a fine art stationery brand, hence the invitation suite, as well as the place-cards and signage was designed by me on deckled handmade paper. I put a lot of consideration into the layout of each component within the suite and experimented with a plethora of different papers and styles. The venue sketch was created by an artist, digitally scanned, and printed by me on Japanese rice paper, which was hand torn and attached using a wax seal.[/field]

A Fine Art Southern California Soirée Complete With a Custom Toile Print

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]Blush, Taupe, Cream, White, Pale French Blue [/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

Southern California style and architecture were the focal point for the wedding. Held at a private 1920s Mediterranean-style mansion with expansive ocean views, we wanted our guests to get a taste of classic elegance at this black-tie event. The vision for the day was inspired by fine art details and a custom floral toile print and custom crest designed by Jenny Olsen of Studio Wren & Co. Carla Kayes brought the print to life with organic, romantic, garden style florals in abundance throughout the venue. The fine art esthetic was completed with a timeless lace ballgown by Monique Lhuillier.

[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]The proposal happened in Los Cabos at the Sunset Monalisa, which has the most amazing view of the Arch at Land’s End. The setting was so beautiful that upon arrival I jokingly patted Rylan’s pocket and said this would be a beautiful spot for a proposal, barely missing the ring box that was in his pocked. I walked out onto the Grand Panorama Terrace to take some photos of the view as the sun was setting, and before I knew what was happening, Rylan was down on one knee. The proposal was followed by dinner with friends and a beautiful firework show over the water.[/field]

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]I opted for the Maeve lace ballgown by Monique Lhuillier with a cathedral train. I styled the dress with the matching lace bolero with a keyhole back and cathedral lace veil for the ceremony, and then removed it to highlight the dress’ low scooped back and effortless style for the reception. [/field]
[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]The bridesmaids wore a mix of styles by Jenny Yoo in Whipped Apricot. [/field]
[field title=”Groomsman Attire”]The groomsmen wore classic shall collar tuxedos from the Black Tux. [/field]

[section title=”The Details”]
[field title=”Food & Drink”]Catering was provided by the Bel-Air Bay Club. Guests were served a variety of sushi and passed appetizers, including new potatoes with creme fraiche and caviar during cocktail hour. Signature cocktails included a Cadillac Margarita, a Rose French 75, and an Espresso Martini. [/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]Carla Kayes designed unstructured and romantic garden florals with lots of texture in blush, taupe, cream, and white. Quicksand and Koco Loco roses were featured heavily throughout. Highlights included the lush organic ground florals for the ceremony aisle featuring tall white hybrid delphinium, coupled with a soft arch filled with movement. Reception decor included stacked plates with French scroll details, vintage cutlery and cut glass crystal. The menus featured the custom floral design and tassels and were paired with pale French blue napkins and velvet table numbers. [/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]Lila Cake Shop designed a three-tier cake drawing inspiration from Studio Wren’s floral print. The cake was covered in fondant panels gently ruffled at the edges, and featured abstract palette knife painted buttercream blossoms in taupe, pale blush, and French blue. Touches of gold leaf were tucked into each blossom. [/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]We had Music by Gemini Strings play To Build a Home by The Cinematic Orchestra and Patrick Watson for the processional. I knew I wanted to walk down to the aisle to Pachelbel’s Canon in D Major since I was young and learned to play it on the piano. We used the the Main Title from Father of the Bride for the recessional, one of Heather’s favorite movies that was an inspiration for the wedding. Heather and Rylan shared their first dance to Dandelions by Ruth B.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]Extra Special Touch (@extraspecialtouch) created beautiful embroidered handkerchiefs with custom messages for the groom and bride’s parents. [/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]Savvy Macs crafted beautiful custom macarons for each place setting. [/field]

Elegance Under the Stars: A Summer Soirée at Château de Varennes

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]In the heart of France’s wine country, Meredith and Neal’s wedding at the breathtaking Château de Varennes was a picture-perfect fusion of elegance and romance. With a meticulously planned outdoor ceremony and a reception that sparkled under garland lights, their intimate celebration was a magical and joyful moment. They had pictures very romantic colours, greenery with notes of blush and lavender with some more bold pinks and purples for some pop. [/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]Meredith and Neal wanted were very involved in all design choices, making sure no detail was overlooked. Their vision, a harmonious blend of bold elegance and understated charm, was intricately woven into every aspect of the day, reflecting their unique style.

[field title=”Food & Drink”]The culinary journey was a perfect blend of French excellence tradition and international flavours. The venue’s chef did an amazing job with the small bites, each a masterpiece of flavor and presentation.
Highlights included a champagne fountain during the cocktail hour, gin-cured Scottish salmon for the starter, a Burgundy chicken ballottine main course, and a delectable chocolate truffle pave dessert. [/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]The decor echoed understated elegance, featuring greenery and a natural palette with soft colors, pastels, and touches of lavender. For the ceremony, the aesthetic was light and natural, transitioning into a more dramatic purple hue for the bouquet and dinner table. The minimalist centrepieces at dinner, paired with chandeliers and garland lighting, created a fairytale-like and inviting atmosphere. The floral designer Emily Alarcon did an amazing job bringing the couples vision of bold elegance to life and implementing purple while keeping the overall design very soft and romantic. [/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]The wedding cake, a creation of Emilie Grenier, was a delicious three-tiered vanilla and strawberry cake. The very minimalistic design of the cake was highlighted by elegant florals.[/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”][/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]While Meredith and the bridesmaids enjoyed their hair and makeup preparations, the gentlemen experienced their own pampering with a dedicated barber and hairdresser. Meredith looked ethereal in a classic A-line wedding dress with delicate lace detailing, complemented by Neal’s sharp navy blue suit and blush pink tie. [/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]The couple also honored their heritage and wedding location with two signature cocktails: “The Manhattan” and the “Burgundy Spring Punch.”[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]The bride surprised the groom with a firework ! The entire team played along saying fireworks where not allowed due to drought. Neal was so disappoint. So when we fired, he was totally surprised ! His happiness and reaction where so worth it. [/field]

Lavish Multi-Day Wedding at Lake Como’s Villa Balbiano

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]White, cream, green, yellow, pink, purple[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]Ashley and Jordan’s multi-day destination wedding embodied the essence of Lake Como through exquisite experiences and endless entertainment for their guests. Hosted at Villa Balbiano in the town of Ossuccio, this home provided an idyllic setting for the welcome party, an elaborate wedding day, and a brunch-themed pool party.

“Those who know Jordan and me know we love to have a good time with our friends. We were inspired to create an atmosphere where not only did we celebrate, but also all of our guests felt just as special. This was difficult in a way to try to keep the modern, elegant vibe but also incorporate fun “eccentric” elements that surprised our guests.”[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]In 2013, Ashley was in law school at KU and Jordan was opening a Pickleman’s restaurant in KC when they happened to be invited to the same wedding. Almost something out of a movie, Ashley caught the bouquet and Jordan caught the garter. While neither was expecting it to turn into anything serious, Jordan really sealed the deal when he surprised Ashley a few months later with George, their first Pom child. Ashley was smitten from then on and they’ve since expanded their family with their three Pom children, George, Penny, and Pablo.

On 2/9/22, Ashley was heading out for a supposed girls night. Jordan had secretly been planning a proposal and engagement party by renting out the Mercury Room for that evening. A lot had been going on behind the scenes (including a photo shoot of the poms!) so this was a challenge to keep secret. Jordan was able to pull off a complete surprise – Ashley said YES and family and friends arrived shortly after for a cocktail party to celebrate. Ashley and Jordan flew to Italy a few days after to start wedding planning![/field]

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]Our true wedding events started on Sunday, May 21st in Brunate (up at the top of a mountain in Como) – I wore a Katie May Dress “Boss Lady” with Jimmy Choo shoes. Jordan wore a custom suit from Indochino.

Welcome Party Day: For our photography session I wore a Millia London Dress & for the welcome dinner I wore a dress by Milla (sister brand of Milla Nova) paired with a white Chanel purse. Jordan wore a custom suit from Indochino.

Wedding Day: My dress was purchased in Milan at Rebecca La Sposa showroom. My dress is Tony Ward – paired with Jimmy Choo shoes. Jordan wore a custom Tux from Indochino.

Pool Day: First outfit was another Katie May Dress “Chasing Dawn” and Jordan wore a custom suit from Indochino. I changed into two different swimsuits from local boutiques. [/field]

[field title=”Food & Drink”]The weekend included a variety of Italian-inspired food stations, including a pizza truck at the after party and a gelato cart at the pool party — all paired, of course, with a selection of Campari, Aperol, and Prosecco. [/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]The citrus-themed welcome party gave guests a taste of what’s to come. Set among the orchard under a canopy of string lights, the lemon-infused decor added a touch of freshness to the magical space. The wedding ceremony was set atop a circular stage, with the softest ivory and blush florals that greeted Lake Como’s deep blue waters. The reception brought guests into a fantasy world. Modern tasseled chandeliers were hung above candle displays, with floral arrangements in every direction. Ending off the wedding weekend was their chic LA vibe pool party, inspired by The Beverly Hills Hotel.[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]We didn’t have a cake, but we worked with a production company that helped curate an experience. From the moment the guests walked through the gates to the very last song played at the after party. We had flower artists at the cocktail hour, Stilts/Marionette dancers at the champagne toast, and a fire show. [/field]

[field title=”Special Detail #1″]Unbelievable photoshoot moments included the bride’s champagne-colored Millia London gown and the posh post-wedding boat ride.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]Hired performers included string musicians, greeters, servers, stilt performers, flower artists, and live fire dancers — all clad in elaborate gowns and costumes. [/field]
