A Luxe Tuscan Wedding of Neutral Florals and Glittering Chandelier Light

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]

Blush and neutrals

[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

For the wedding day, we wanted to create a romantic and glamorous atmosphere against Tuscany’s scenic views and rolling hills. We focused on neutral florals, dramatic chandelier lighting, luxurious textures, and gold accents to complement the natural beauty of Tuscany.

[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]

Michael and I met in San Francisco, the city we now both call home. After three years and countless memories together, Michael got down on one knee in my favorite city in the world – Taipei, Taiwan. We had a private engagement in front of the iconic Taipei 101, and Michael surprised me with a beautifully written speech before asking me to marry him. We spent the subsequent days celebrating with friends and amazing food in Taipei.

[field title=”Food & Drink”]

The wedding day featured a beautiful culinary experience to reflect the couple’s love for food. During the cocktail hour, guests enjoyed a number of passed appetizers and two buffet stations: one included a live cutting of Tuscan porchetta served with handmade hot focaccia, and another with fried seasonal vegetables. The signature cocktails for the evening were Hugo Spritz and Negroni, served alongside a full bar to cater to all guests. For the dinner reception, guests were served a three-course farm-to-table meal made of the freshest ingredients, paired with Villa Petriolo’s own wines. During the after-party, a buffet station with mini burgers and French fries was served to honor the couple’s American roots.

[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]The wedding day’s lush florals, chandelier lighting, and luxurious textures tied perfectly with Tuscany’s natural beauty. For the ceremony, the couple opted for a full-rounded arch with neutral florals at the altar, paired with floral installations to frame the white carpet aisle. For the dinner reception, the bride and groom were seated at a sweetheart table adorned with chandelier lighting, candles, and abundant florals. The sweetheart table faced the two long tables where guests were seated. The guest tables were adorned with chandeliers, candles, floral arrangements, and dinnerware with gold accents.
[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]

The couple opted for a traditional Italian wedding cake, millefeuille with diplomatic cream and berries. The chefs guided the couple in making the cake live in front of all the guests!

[/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”][/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]

For the welcome reception, the bride incorporated cultural elements to honor her Hong Kong roots. From hanging Chinese silk lanterns and oriental floral vases to custom-engraved chopsticks – every detail helped bring the bride’s vision to life. For the food, the bride worked with Villa Petriolo to customize a buffet-style menu with Italian and Chinese options. The villa even went out of its way to find and partner with a local Chinese chef to fulfill the bride’s dreams!

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]

Why did you choose Villa Petriolo in Tuscany as your venue? Villa Petriolo felt like our home away from home. The villa has the warmest, loving, and attentive staff, and the property itself has all the elements we were looking for – impeccable Tuscan views, amazing farm-to-table food, breathtaking infinity pools, and luxurious suites that blend modern elements with Tuscany’s rustic charm. It was also extremely important to us to have all our guests stay on-site for the 3-day celebration, and Villa Petriolo had just enough rooms to accommodate all our guests.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]Do you have a favorite memory or emotional highlight from the wedding weekend?
My favorite memory was sitting at our sweetheart table during the dinner reception, where we were able to look out and see all our closest family & friends in one place, yet have alone time with each other to soak it all in!

A Breezy Coastal Wedding Brought to Life with Lush Botanical Design

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]Soft sage, blush pink, cream, and botanical green[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

Morgan and Willy had a classic coastal celebration with a whimsical twist. Their day was full of lush greens, soft pinks, and botanical-inspired details that brought the seaside setting to life.

[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]In June 2024, Willy and Morgan joined their friends for what Morgan thought was just a fun weekend trip to the Bahamas with Willy’s parents. Six years earlier, on Morgan’s very first trip to the Bahamas with Willy, they had discovered a beautiful spot overlooking the marina and crystal-blue water, and it became a tradition to take pictures there every time we visited. As she slowly captured a panoramic picture of the view, Willy got down on one knee behind her, timing it perfectly so that when she turned around, there he was with the ring.

A ‘Sea of Stars’ Reception Under a Custom-Built Dome at the Four Seasons

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]White, soft grey, metallic, boulder , black[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

From the bride: “I’ve always been a fan of early 20th-century design, specifically Art Deco and Bauhaus, so I wanted to incorporate both into our wedding design: not quite as glitzy and flamboyant as Art Deco, but also not as bare-bones and simplistic as Bauhaus, with a focus on elements shared by both of these styles. Sleek geometric forms. Use of modern materials like glass and metals. For example, during the ceremony, our guests were seated on minimalist white chairs with a boldly curved back design. All ninety of these chairs had to be specially flown to Chiang Mai from Phuket. At the reception, we paired transparent ghost chairs with round tables topped by metallic mirrored surfaces that reflected the sparkling lights above, creating a stunning “sea of stars” effect. The menus were a half-circular shape, with Bauhaus-inspired typography. And of course, hovering over everything and everyone was the pièce de résistance: a magnificent dome of light that was custom-built at the heart of the Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai just for our wedding. Before this occasion, a structure of this size and scale had never been constructed on the grounds of this hotel for any event! A strikingly minimalist twist on the classic chandelier, also custom-made for us, dangled from the center of this massive dome. Instead of the usual crystals and curlicues and elaborate swirls, this 7-foot chandelier was entirely characterized by straight black lines – an homage to our unique Art Deco meets Bauhaus concept.”

The entire wedding was catered by Four Seasons Chiang Mai team – and every dish was spectacular! Northern Thai food is one of the most unique experiences in life

[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

My absolute top priority in planning this wedding has always been guest enjoyment. At one point during the design process, when Nitcha (designer from Wedding Bliss team) showed me that the signs at the wedding would be made of a mirrored material, I even asked her to use those “skinnifying” mirrors that make people look longer and leaner, so that my guests would feel good when they caught sight of their own reflections! That’s how serious I was about making sure my guests were happy. Lyle and I have attended many gorgeous destination weddings together all around the world, from Mexico to Sicily, so by the time I began planning my own wedding, I was a very experienced wedding guest. Drawing upon my own experiences, I concluded that wedding guests primarily care about two things: visual spectacle and social connection. These were the two most important things that I wanted our friends and family to experience at our wedding. In terms of visual spectacle, I knew I could count on the geniuses at the Wedding Bliss Thailand for the perfect venue, and my wedding dress designer (Dita, founder and creative director of Honeysuckle Atelier) for an unforgettable dress.

[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]

[/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”][/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]

As for social connection, this was such a rare opportunity for us to bring together our amazing friends from Taipei, San Francisco, and London, so we didn’t want to waste it! I was extremely careful and intentional in crafting the seating arrangements for both the welcome dinner and the reception dinner. On both nights, I made sure that every guest would be seated near a mixture of people: some that they already knew (so that they would feel comfortable), and some that they didn’t know yet but I felt like they would get along with (so that they would make new friends and new connections). Having to satisfy both conditions for each guest’s seat made the seating charts feel like a giant Sudoku puzzle!

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]

We also set up a dance competition between two groups of friends during the reception – a big “Team Taipei vs. Team SF” dance-off. The competitive aspect created a fun talking point and conversation starter for the whole wedding weekend. Before the showdown (in fact, even before the wedding weekend started), members of the two rival teams were already campaigning for votes, and other guests were taking bets on which team would emerge victorious; after the competition, the controversial decision to award Team Taipei the victory triggered many lively debates (and more dance battles) at the after-party.

A Color-Forward Celebration Among Lush Gardens and Ancient Olive Trees

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]

A Burst of Color, A Celebration of Love. From vibrant shades of blue to soft pinks, radiant yellows, and coral hues — the wedding was a joyful explosion of color, inspired by the spirit of spring. Set among lush gardens and timeless olive trees, the location was the perfect canvas for our celebration: nature’s green embracing every colorful detail.

[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

The Vision Behind the Day The vision for this wedding began with one simple, beautiful truth: the joy of the couple. From the very start, the celebration was imagined as a refined yet vibrant expression of their love — a day that would feel free, full of life, and unapologetically joyful. Color became the heart of the concept: soft blues, radiant pinks, sunlit yellows, and glowing corals painted the day in a palette that felt like spring itself. Each hue was chosen not just for its beauty, but for the emotion it carried — a reflection of the happiness, spontaneity, and deep connection shared by two souls in love. Set against the natural elegance of lush gardens and ancient olive trees, the wedding told a story that was both sophisticated and playful, thoughtful and light-hearted — a perfect balance, just like the couple themselves.

[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]

Chris proposed to me on October 14th, 2023, at one of our favorite parks in Columbus. We were supposed to be meeting his Mum for dinner later that night, so we were both dressed up. When we got to the party, he had decorated the area with candles and flowers everywhere. However, that was just half the surprise. When we got to the restaurant, it was not just his mum there but our families and closest friends. It was a wonderful evening, and it was also there that he told me he had an idea that we should get married in Italy.

The couple’s attire spoke softly, yet powerfully, of who they are. Their looks were a delicate mirror of their souls — gentle, graceful, deeply in tune. Both wore light-hued outfits, one in a soft sage green, the other in a creamy ivory tone — a combination as natural and harmonious as their connection. No need for extravagance — just effortless elegance, where every choice whispered sincerity, authenticity, and style. Together, they embodied a quiet sophistication, a shared lightness of being, perfectly aligned with the joyful and refined vision of the day.

[/field]
[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]

The bridesmaids and the celebrant brought even more color to life — a joyful explosion of shades, as if spring itself had stepped into the celebration. Each dress was unique, yet harmoniously tied together by a shared palette of soft pastels and vivid hues: pastel pink, blue, and green, flowing effortlessly in the garden breeze.

The celebration wouldn’t have been complete without a culinary journey through the heart of Tuscany. Guests were welcomed with a rich aperitivo that showcased the region’s finest flavors — aged cheeses, artisanal breads, local cured meats, fresh vegetables, and savory bites that spoke of tradition and authenticity. Adding a playful twist to the elegance, a charming gelato cart delighted everyone with creamy scoops of classic Italian flavors, while a bespoke bar catering served refreshing cocktails throughout the day. The highlight? A refreshing lemon spritz, flowing from a beautifully styled Capri-inspired spritz fountain — the perfect symbol of Italian joy and sunshine in a glass. Every taste, every detail, was curated to bring warmth, flavor, and festivity — a true Tuscan feast that made the celebration unforgettable.

[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

Seasonal flowers — from lush roses to delicate hydrangeas — adorned every corner of the celebration, turning each space into a refined, romantic dream. Every detail was carefully curated to reflect a sense of understated elegance: from the choice of chic, minimalist chairs to the aperitivo setup nestled under the olive trees, where guests gathered in the golden afternoon light. The bar counter, styled with natural textures , became a vibrant gathering spot, while the dinner setup was pure enchantment — glass vases filled with garden blooms, and above them, chandeliers suspended in the open air, casting a soft, golden glow as night began to fall. It was more than decoration — it was a harmonious atmosphere, where every element spoke the same quiet language of taste, intention, and celebration.

[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]

A Cake as Blooming as the Day. The wedding cake was a masterpiece of delicate elegance — a multi-tiered vanilla cake adorned with the natural beauty of spring flowers. Resting on a table completely covered in fresh blooms, the cake became a centerpiece that perfectly captured the spirit of the day: romantic, vibrant, and full of life.

[/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]During the ceremony, the live music of violins embraced the intimate and tender spirit of the moment.

The delicate strings wove a soundtrack of love and emotion, filling the air with a sweetness that touched every heart present.

It was a timeless melody that perfectly reflected the depth and beauty of the couple’s vows — a serene and unforgettable harmony.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]

What truly made this wedding unforgettable was the profound aura of joy and humanity that filled every corner of the day. It was the deep and genuine affection the couple shared—not only between themselves but with every single person present—that created an atmosphere of warmth and connection. There was a quiet joy in the air, a celebration not shouted from rooftops but felt deeply in every smile, every glance, and every gentle embrace. This tender magic wove itself through the entire day, enveloping everyone with its subtle power—reminding us all of the beauty in sharing a meaningful moment with those we love, in the most heartfelt way possible.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]The choice of location was a perfect reflection of the couple’s vision — nestled within the breathtaking Tuscan landscape, just a short distance from Florence.

A hidden corner of tranquility and natural beauty, the venue offered lush gardens and ancient olive trees, creating an intimate sanctuary away from the bustle of the city.

It was a place where nature and elegance met effortlessly, providing the ideal backdrop for a celebration rooted in love, serenity, and timeless charm.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]

After the ceremony, the couple, along with their family and friends, made their way to Piazzale Michelangelo — one of the most beautiful squares in the world. With its breathtaking panoramic view over Florence, it was the perfect setting for group photos that captured the joy and unity of the day. This unforgettable moment, framed by the city’s iconic skyline and warm sunset light, will remain forever etched in their hearts.

Landscape-Led Romance at Villa Cipressi with A Garden Style Dinner Among the Moss

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]soft peach, coral, amber, rose and greenery[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

Set against the breathtaking natural backdrop of Villa Cipressi on Lake Como, this wedding design drew deep inspiration from its surroundings. The ceremony florals were artfully shaped to mirror the distinctive mountain line that frames the view from the villa, creating a powerful visual connection between the couple and the landscape for the ceremony. The ceremony had a warm, romantic palette drawn from the hues of a Lake Como sunset — soft peach, coral, amber, and rose — washed through the arrangements, adding a sense of depth and atmosphere to the scene. This design choice anchored the ceremony in its setting, making the environment feel like an integral part of the celebration. For the dinner reception, the concept softened into a wilder, more organic expression. Tables were styled to feel like a quiet corner of an untouched garden — lush moss bases gave way to clusters of delicate florals in blush, ivory, and soft green tones. Natural wood chairs added an understated elegance, harmonizing with the surrounding textures and creating a sense of effortless authenticity.

The bride made a breathtaking statement in a couture creation by Galia Lahav — a masterpiece of design that seamlessly blended elegance, romance, and modern versatility. This stunning gown was not just one look, but three exquisite bridal moments in one. The ceremony began with the bride wearing a long-sleeved, lace top delicately embroidered and sheer, adding a touch of timeless elegance and modesty. The intricate floral lace complemented the garden setting beautifully and created a regal silhouette perfect for the vows. Draped over the gown was a voluminous tulle overskirt that flowed like a cloud, adding drama and grandeur as she walked down the aisle. The full skirt featured layers of soft blush and ivory, creating a romantic, ethereal effect that caught the sunlight and swayed with every step. For the boat ride, the overskirt was removed to reveal the show-stopping look: a form-fitting mermaid sheath dress, shimmering with subtle embellishments and contouring her figure with striking elegance. As the celebration continued, before the dinner, the lace top was removed too. This sleek silhouette allowed for movement and ease — ideal for dancing the night away in style.

Beneath a canopy of lush greenery and cascading chandeliers, the stunning dinner setting transports guests into a scene straight from a fairytale. The ambiance is one of effortless sophistication — a perfect blend of rustic charm and refined elegance. The long banquet table was gracefully draped in soft white fabric that pools onto the gravel floor, creating a romantic, flowing silhouette. The tablecloth’s gentle folds add movement and texture, enhancing the organic feel of the setting. The natural wooden chairs with woven backs further echo the outdoor setting, seamlessly tying in with the surrounding stone pillars and climbing vines. Above, crystal chandeliers hang in perfect symmetry, adding a glamorous contrast to the earthy, organic elements below. This dinner scene is more than just a meal — it’s a carefully curated experience that brings together nature, elegance, and the joy of gathering.

[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]In a celebration full of unforgettable moments, the wedding cake stood out as both a centerpiece and a sweet finale. This stunning Millefoglie — a traditional Italian layered dessert — was a showstopper in both flavor and presentation.

Crafted with delicate layers of crisp puff pastry and silky pastry cream, the cake was topped generously with a vibrant mix of fresh berries: raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, and red currants. The juicy fruits not only added a burst of color but also a refreshing contrast to the creamy, buttery layers below.

What made this moment even more magical was the playful and personal touch added by the couple themselves. Instead of a traditional cake cutting, they joyfully showered the Millefoglie with clouds of powdered sugar, using sieves and lots of laughter. The joyful energy and spontaneity brought the cake to life, making it a shared moment to remember.[/field]

Eleanor wore a classic Anne Barge gown that perfectly echoed the timeless elegance of the day, structured, graceful, and beautifully tailored. The layered look felt deeply personal and just right for the sacred setting of the ceremony.

[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]The bridesmaids wore light mint green Amsale dresses that brought a soft, serene palette to the day, fresh against the mountain backdrop and beautifully cohesive with the florals. The mother of the bride complemented the look in a jacquard-textured gown in a similar shade, adding an elevated touch with timeless texture and subtle shimmer.[/field]
[field title=”Groomsman Attire”]

The groom and groomsmen wore classic black tuxedos, a timeless choice that complemented the formal elegance of the day. Sam wore a Calvin Klein tux, while his groomsmen were outfitted in coordinating styles from Gentry Ltd., creating a cohesive and sophisticated look.

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

The floral design by Elizabeth Rose Florals was intentionally simple and timeless, centered around white roses and delicate sprigs of baby’s breath. The soft, monochromatic palette created a light and airy feel that beautifully complemented the mountain setting and classic attire. From the chapel to the custom lounge and reception tables, every detail felt thoughtfully cohesive and effortlessly elegant.

[field title=”Wedding Cake”]The four-tiered wedding cake, created by The Broadmoor, was a stunning white confection, adorned with sculptural white sugar flowers that added a modern yet delicate touch. Its clean design perfectly complemented the day’s elegant and timeless aesthetic.[/field]

During the Catholic ceremony at The Broadmoor’s Pauline Chapel, the groom accidentally began his vows with “I, Eleanor…” which immediately brought laughter and lightened the mood. Even the usually serious monsignor couldn’t help but smile, making the moment a joyful and memorable highlight of the day.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]Eleanor was set on having portraits with stunning mountain views, so her planner thoughtfully reserved the Parker Suite, complete with a private terrace over the porte-cochère. There, Eleanor and Sam looked every bit like royalty against the breathtaking Colorado landscape.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]

Later in the evening, Eleanor changed into a beaded fringe dress by Nadine Merabi – paired with boots – for a look that was equal parts glamorous and fun. With SoulX keeping the dance floor packed all night, her dress swished and sparkled with every step, perfectly matching the high-energy celebration.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]The day was photographed on Ilford Delta 3200 and Fuji 400H film stocks (mixed with digital), chosen for their timeless character and nuanced beauty. The delicate grain of the 3200 brought depth and emotion to the black and white images, while the Fuji rendered classic, luminous color tones that felt both true and painterly.[/field]

Christopher & Matthew wanted a very special moment that was a real experience for all the guests. The first day started with a quite welcome drink by the river. The next day was fun with a pool party all day long, followed by a “Tea Dance” that was originally a daily event in Fire Island Pines and Provincetown (gay beach vacation spots), it’s an essential happy hour in the late afternoon at an outdoor bar with lots of music and packed with people. The wedding day still had some surprises with fun and fashion group photos, a dinner “al fresco”, and a fantastic fireworks display before the party!

A Cozy Lake House Inn Wedding Designed with Romantic Plum Tones and Golden Accents

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]

Kaitlyn & Billy’s wedding was a winter fairytale dream–filled with rich plums and soft mauves, with glints of gold as the metallic accent. Their Valentine’s weekend wedding was as romantic as possible and a jewel-toned dream.

[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

Lavish Haus Design Company did a phenomenal job bringing Kaitlyn & Billy’s winter wonderland to life. The romantic and cozy environment of the Lake House Inn was enhanced with the rich, warm colors and abundant florals. The design elements were clean and minimalistic with geometric signage throughout, mirrored in the diamond menus with a gold tassel.

[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]

Kaitlyn is a rheumatologist, and Billy is a gastroenterologist. They actually met at the hospital where they both worked, and then discovered they lived in the same apartment building! Billy proposed the perfect way for the two of them–at home, with just them. He had planned a party with their family at a later time, which was such a thoughtful touch.

Kaitlyn’s blush Galia Lahav gown was a show-stopper. Her blush gown stood out against the white and was dramatic and romantic in the best way possible.

Kaitlyn’s bridesmaids were clad in Jenny Yoo velvet gowns in a deep purple. The eggplant shade matched the theme and decor perfectly, and the velvet texture accentuated the romance and coziness of their wedding.

Kaitlyn and Billy are both doctors, and their signature drinks were cheekily named after medical ailments each of them treats often. Their cocktail hour food was beautifully passed appetizers such as warm soup and other comfort foods, perfect for a snowy day. The menu for dinner was filled with beautiful, rich, winter food such as steak with chimichurri sauce and chicken provençal.

[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

The stunning florals by Gardena Florals were so perfect for the day. The rich tones and soft pinks set the entire romantic feeling for the day. The florals were abundant–from the beautiful bouquets to the floral meadow for the ceremony, delicate florals adorned every space. Kaitlyn’s stunning bouquet of delicate roses, bold ranunculus, graceful anemones, and whimsical sweet peas tied everything together with a mauve bow.

[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]

JAM catering did a beautiful job with Kaitlyn & Billy’s cake. It was a lavender pound cake with raspberry jam, even tying the colors of the day into the cake. The gorgeous, white, 3-tiered cake was decorated with more of the florals from the day for a cohesive design.

[/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]

The Philadelphia String Quartet brought immense romance to both the ceremony and the cocktail hour. The wedding party entered to a stunning string rendition of Taylor Swift’s “Wildest Dreams,” followed by Kaitlyn entering to “A Thousand Years” by Christina Perri. They then performed during cocktail hour, setting the beautiful tone for intimate conversations and a romantic atmosphere.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]

The most special detail that was completely unplanned was the unexpected snowstorm that coated Kaitlyn and Billy’s wedding in glittering white. Kaitlyn had said her vision for their February wedding was a “winter wonderland,” and the snow certainly added to the magic. Kaitlyn was more than willing to go out in the snow and take photos, which made for the most breathtaking images of the couple.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]

There were so many special, customized details. Their custom-created monogram was displayed on cocktail napkins, drink stirrers, and, of course, in their signage.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]

Kaitlyn & Billy’s favorite late-night snack is Domino’s pizza, so they surprised their guests with pizzas towards the end of the reception. It was a hit, even on the dance floor!

A Maui Oceanfront Celebration Blending Tropical Elegance with Spiritual Connection

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]Creams, whites, tans, greens, blues[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

Held oceanfront at Olowalu, Mady and Josh’s wedding brought together elevated tropical design with deeply personal, spiritual elements. The couple worked closely with us to create a celebration that felt intimate, intentional, and reflective of their values.

[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]

Josh and Mady met at a pickleball tournament. Originally, they were supposed to play pickleball with a group of people; however, last minute, Mady decided to bail and watch a pickleball tournament that was taking place at a different location. Needless to say, the Universe had different plans for them, and it started raining in Austin, Texas. Ultimately, the tournament was moved to the original pickleball facility, and Josh and Mady finally met. Josh describes it as being struck by lightning when he first saw Mady walk in and immediately asked his friend who she was. It was love at first sight for both of them, and they knew immediately that it was going to be life-changing. Neither Josh nor Mady had marriage on their minds- but naturally, it was easy to envision a future of love and creating a life together. It feels like our love has always been guided by a higher authority. Since the moment they met, it’s truly felt like destiny. Josh proposed under the tree in his backyard in Austin, Texas, where he would meditate every day and call in the feeling of pure and unconditional love. He would try to feel what it would feel like and feel the energy of it. When he met Mady, he knew this was the same energy, and he knew right away that he wanted to marry her. Josh proposed after 3 months and says that he would have proposed sooner if they were able to ship the ring to Maui. He even purchased two rings because one of them would take longer to be ddeliveredand he couldn’t wait an extra 3 weeks!

Once guests were seated, an amuse bouche of coconut risotto with edamame, Molokai shrimp, kaffir lime, lilikoi, and mango gastrique was served, followed by a refreshing farm-to-table salad. The couple opted to serve their guests a Chef’s coursing menu for maximum enjoyment: – From the sea: macnut crusted fresh catch with beurre noisette, lilikoi, Molokai coconut whipped potatoes and zucchini ribbons – From the land: slow roasted ribeye, pistachio date pesto, chili pepper emulsion and crispy Tuscan potatoes. Design details were layered with meaning: quartz crystal place cards symbolized clarity and love; hydrangea and tropical blooms nodded to nostalgia and place; and overhead crystal chandeliers added sophistication to the open-air dinner beneath a custom-built dance canopy. The couple’s aesthetic drew inspiration from Serena & Lily (clean, coastal, and textural), touches of garden romanticism, with spiritual realism.

[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]The ceremony, officiated by their close friend and spiritual mentor @stefanossifandos, began with a sound bowl healing led by @vylana—a grounding ritual the couple regularly practices. A full floral arch of white and blue hydrangea, chosen in honor of the bride’s grandmother, anchored the oceanfront setting.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]

Guests sipped fresh coconut water from a live chopping station upon arrival and sampled mushroom-infused mocktails and cocktails during cocktail hour.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]

At the reception, a tattoo artist offered real tattoos, which was a bold and memorable experience. Justin Blake offered guests the opportunity to receive meaningful tattoos thoughtfully chosen by the bride and groom. Each design was a reflection of intention—ranging from delicate, fine-lined artwork to bold whale tail motifs, honoring the majestic presence of the whales migrating through Maui’s waters during this sacred season. Justin Blake continuously tattooed throughout the end of the reception and still had a waitlist of 20 guests. It was one of the most unique parts of this reception.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]

A live artist was also present throughout the reception and painted a photo that she took of the couple as they walked up the aisle. Guests were able to watch her skill manifest into the final product by the end of the night for the couple to take home. Every element from custom vow books to the bride’s bespoke dress was considered. The result was a celebration that felt romantic, meaningful, and entirely their own.

Your Personal Wedding Planning Terminology Dictionary!

Vendors in the wedding industry have created many unique terms for the wedding world. Many of these terms are spoken without regard to the fact couples may have no idea what they mean! To help you in meetings, research, and general wedding planning, I’ve put together your own personal wedding planning terminology dictionary with a focus on terms that are not necessarily common knowledge.

Al Fresco: A term that means “out in the open air” and is often associated with open air dining. An outdoor reception would be an al fresco reception (my favorite kind!)

Bridal Party: As a photographer, I have noticed some confusion around this term. Most commonly, the term bridal party is meant to refer to the bride and groom, as well as the bridesmaids and groomsmen. Typically, this does not refer to the family or general guests, although some might use it to include them as well as the bridesmaids and groomsmen.

Charger: I’ll admit that I had no idea what a charger was until 2013. A charger is a decorative plate upon which all other dining plates rest. It’s the ultimate place setting eye candy.

Cocktail Hour: The gap between the ceremony and reception during which guests enjoy libations and dine on appetizers. This time can last an hour or sometimes 90 minutes if more photos or reception set up cannot fit within an hour.

Coordinator: The person or business hired to coordinate the wedding timeline and oversee the wedding day logistics.

Dummy Cake: A faux cake that looks real. A Styrofoam cake shape covered in icing that can be more cost effective than a real cake layer. You can have an entire dummy cake and sheet cake waiting to be served, or a dummy layer on top of a real layer to increase the size of your cake.

Escort Card: Essentially a place/name card, the escort card designates which table a guest will take their seat.

First Look: The moment where a couple sees each other before the ceremony. The first look can happen between the couple, bride and her bridesmaids, or the bride and her father. You can do one or all of the above!

Flatlay: A flatlay refers to a photo taken at an above-view angle that typically is of stationery, accessories, flowers, or other wedding details that have been carefully styled.

Flatware: Dining utensils: forks, knives, spoons.

Flipping the Space (A Flip): When your reception will occur in the same space as your ceremony, the vendors will have to “flip the space” during the cocktail hour to transform it to the reception setup.

Glassware: A fancy way of referring to drinking glasses such as wine glasses or water goblets.

Grazing Table: A table for appetizers such as cheeses and meats or fruits that guests may graze at during cocktail hour or the reception.

Head Table: Typically, the head table does not mean the same thing as a sweetheart table, which only seats the couple. Head tables include either or both the bridal party and families, depending on who the couple wants at their table. Two long tables, or perhaps three, would be seamlessly adjoined to accommodate the group.

Hybrid Photographer: A photographer that shoots both digital and film photos.

Processional: The first walk down the aisle to commence the wedding ceremony.

Recessional: The second and final walk down the aisle after the wedding ceremony concludes.

Sample Sale (Gowns): A bridal boutique will occasionally host a sample sale in which gowns are available off the rack instead of special order. This means they are available immediately, as-is, with no wait time. Sample sales usually offer a discount on the sample gowns.

Second Shooter: A second photographer- not to be confused with the police or military version.

Sheet Cake: A cost effective cake that is made on a large rectangular baking sheet that can be easily cut and served to guests.

Signature Cocktail: A pre-selected cocktail, chosen by the couple, that is presented on a cocktail menu. Signature cocktails can be named to represent the couple or their interests/hobbies/history. Ex: The Catalina (location where the couple became engaged).

Sweetheart Table: A table for just the married couple.

Tablescape: The entire décor of the reception table from the linens to the centerpieces to the dinnerware make up a tablescape.

Tray Pass: Refers to the service in which catering staff walks throughout the reception or cocktail hour space offering appetizers or drinks from a tray.

Trunk Show (Gowns): An event in which a bridal boutique will be hosting a large collection of gowns, not normally in the shop, from a specific wedding dress designer. Trunk shows often feature a temporary discount on these gowns, which disappear from the shop after the event concludes.

Unplugged Ceremony: A ceremony during which no phones or cameras are used for taking photos. Guests will be present at the wedding and the professional photos will be free of phones held in the aisle and above the seats. The term “unplugged wedding” is also meant to refer to the ceremony. Designate this with a sign and always have the officiant announce this before the ceremony for best results.

Uplighting: Lighting that comes from several lighting units places along the perimeter of the space that project light upwards on the walls, trees, etc.

A Mocha and Burgundy Inspired Wedding Designed with Layers at Villa Zosaneli

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”The Inspiration”]

Set against the backdrop of Villa Zosaneli, a new private estate in the hills of San Diego, this celebration brought together elegance, intentional design, and a refined use of color. Inspired by Pantone’s color of the year, mocha mousse, the aesthetic married warm earth tones with rich burgundies and soft, floral-forward accents. The goal? To bring traditionally moody colors into a summer setting in a way that felt elevated, dimensional, and effortlessly luxe.

[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]

A dynamic blend of mocha, burgundy, dusty rose, and cream wove through every detail, from hand-painted candles to custom stationery. Delicate floral patterns softened the tablescape, appearing on clay dinner plates, embroidered linens, and even candle vessels, while tonal layering gave the overall look depth and cohesion. Each element was curated to reflect the palette without overwhelming the senses, allowing color to act as both backdrop and focal point.

[/field]
[field title=”The Venue”]

Villa Zosaneli is one of San Diego’s newest private estate venues and is quickly becoming a standout for couples looking for that perfect blend of natural beauty and elegant architecture. The ceremony took place beneath the venue’s white pergola, framed by lush landscaping and serene fountains. The romantic setting set the tone for a day that felt both luxurious and grounded in nature.

[section title=”The Details”]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

Florals by Flower Snob played a starring role in the design. The arrangements were lush and unstructured, with deep burgundy blooms, dusty rose touches, and dried textures to add movement and dimension. Tabletop decor included crystal-cut glassware, luxe fabric menus by Type and Trim, and hand-painted pillar candles that tied in the brown tones. Clay dinnerware with a custom floral print added an artisanal touch, grounding the table in soft elegance while celebrating form and pattern.

[/field]
[field title=”Favorite Design Element”]

The standout detail? The custom signage by Coull Concepts. From the three-paneled seating chart with integrated lighting to mocha-toned table numbers, welcome sign, and bar menus, each piece was designed to complement the overall palette without overpowering it. The result was an elevated and cohesive look that transformed each touchpoint into a design moment.

[/field]
[field title=”Tips To Pull Off The Look”]

If you love the idea of a richly colored summer wedding, don’t be afraid to lean into contrast. Layering different shades within your core palette, like deep burgundy, soft blush, warm mocha, and lighter neutral, will create flow and visual interest. Consider the logistics of your tablescapes; for fuller floral designs and candle clusters, opt for wider tables to avoid crowding. And finally, think about how to repurpose ceremony florals throughout your reception: entrances, sweetheart tables, dessert stations, and even around your DJ setup are all prime spots to extend the life of your blooms while still feeling intentional.

Sips of spicy margaritas, crisp bubbles, and white burgundy were shared and enjoyed by all. The dinner menu included a heirloom tomato and burrata salad, braised short rib and shrimp entree, goat cheese risotto, and broccolini.

The special day was held at two different locations in Saint Louis, close to their home, where the couple enjoys some of life’s precious moments. Abundant florals lined the aisle, creating a soft and inviting ceremony at Old Warson Country Club. Next stop, a short ride to Deer Creek Club. Soft florals with the bar adorned with citrus and candlelight set the tone for a cozy and relaxed evening.

The couple opted for a traditional white on white wedding cake from Stephanie with Darling Bakes, also the creator of kids’ birthday cakes year after year.

A Modern Palmetto Bluff Wedding Rooted in Meaning and Elevated by a Soft Neutral Palette

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]

The core palette for the wedding was a timeless combination of black and white, softened with subtle sand and tan undertones to add warmth and depth. For the ancillary events, we wove in thoughtful infusions of color that reflected the unique tone and setting of each gathering – fresh, elegant greens for the bridal luncheon, and soft, sophisticated blues for the rehearsal dinner.

[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

Chandler and Grant envisioned a celebration rooted in personal meaning, choosing to marry in Palmetto Bluff – a place close to their hearts where her family owns a home and the couple has shared countless memories. They embraced a streamlined, neutral palette that allowed the natural beauty of the Lowcountry to take center stage, setting the tone for an atmosphere of refined, modern elegance.

The culinary team at Montage Palmetto Bluff crafted a thoughtful array of menus tailored to each celebration throughout the weekend. For the wedding reception, guests were treated to a beautifully plated three-course dinner featuring a fresh crab salad to start, followed by a duet entrée of beef ribeye and lobster tail served with sweet potato purée, citrus fennel insalata, and Béarnaise sauce. The wedding cake was served as the final course, and guests enjoyed fried mozzarella in mini jars of spicy tomato sauce as a late-night snack.

[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

For the welcome party and wedding day, we stuck strictly to the neutral palette and used only white flowers with fresh green foliage. Flowers included white stock, hydrangeas, peonies, garden roses, larkspur, lisianthus, ranunculus, and sweet peas.

[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]

The pastry team at Montage Palmetto Bluff crafted a showstopping cake that was as decadent as it was beautiful. Chandler and Grant chose two flavor profiles, layered in alternating tiers: a rich dark chocolate cake with peanut butter mousse, peanut butter cups, and milk chocolate ganache; and a bourbon-soaked vanilla sponge with bourbon milk jam crème, shortbread crumble, and caramel milk chocolate ganache. From a design perspective, we knew the cake needed to feel like a focal point. Positioned prominently at the edge of the dance floor, it featured delicate fondant details that echoed the lattice and palmetto leaf motifs used throughout the wedding. We then elevated the cake with a custom-made black platform, added a delicate black velvet bow to the bottom tier, and surrounded the cake base with fresh flowers and foliage.

[/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]

The ceremony featured meaningful biblical readings from Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 and Matthew 7:24-27. Chandler walked down the aisle to Andrea Bocelli’s Con Te Partirò, performed by a live string quartet. The wedding party and family processed to instrumental renditions of Lana Del Rey’s Young and Beautiful and Christina Perri’s A Thousand Years. For the joyful recessional, the quartet played Bruno Mars’ Marry You. Live music played a central role throughout the weekend, culminating in a high-energy, jam-packed dance floor on Saturday night, thanks to Washington, D.C.–based band, The District.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]

Chandler’s sweet grandmother served as the flower girl, and it was a surprise to nearly everyone!

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]

Chandler and Grant originally envisioned exchanging vows at Montage Palmetto Bluff’s iconic May River Chapel, drawn to its charm and stunning waterfront setting. But with a guest list that exceeded the chapel’s capacity, it became clear the space couldn’t accommodate their ceremony, and we pivoted to use the larger Somerset Chapel on the property for the ceremony instead. Still, the May River Chapel held deep significance for the couple, so we found a meaningful way to incorporate it into the day. Instead of saying “I do” there, they shared their first look inside the chapel. It was an intimate, emotional moment captured so beautifully in photos and on video. It allowed them to experience one of the most important parts of the day in a space they truly loved.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]

Fitness is a way of life for Chandler and Grant, so it was fitting that it be a part of their destination wedding weekend as well! In addition to the rehearsal dinner, welcome party, and wedding celebration events, they also included a pickleball tournament and an early morning 5K race! To make the events even more personal, we designed custom pickleball paddles for the bride and groom, along with bespoke race bibs for each 5K participant – a fun little touch that reflected Chandler and Grant’s energy and enthusiasm!

An Enchanted Summer Garden Wedding Designed with Fruits, Florals and Culture

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]

Our vision was to create a wedding that felt like stepping into a vibrant, romantic summer garden: elegant, inviting, and full of life. Inspired by the warmth of June, we chose a design rooted in nature with rich textures, seasonal fruits, and florals that evoked both abundance and whimsy.

[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

Our vision was to create a wedding that felt like stepping into a vibrant, romantic summer garden: elegant, inviting, and full of life. Inspired by the warmth of June, we chose a design rooted in nature with rich textures, seasonal fruits, and florals that evoked both abundance and whimsy. Set against a venue that radiated European charm and old-world romance, the atmosphere felt like an intimate escape, complete with courtyards, fountains, and timeless architectural details. The vibe was a seamless blend of refined and relaxed, where gold accents and crystal stemware met sun-kissed fruit garnishes and playful floral patterns. The Persian wedding table brought in cultural depth, symbolizing harmony and happiness, while scattered petals and an overflowing floral arch created a dreamy ceremony backdrop. Musically, classical harp melodies filled the ceremony, lending an elegant and serene ambiance, followed by lively Spanish guitar tunes during the cocktail reception that added a warm, festive energy to the celebration. From the welcome mojito to the lemon cake and Miami-inspired coffee bean favors, each detail was thoughtfully chosen to reflect our love for summer, celebration, and meaningful moments shared with the people we love.

[field title=”Proposal Story”]

While visiting family in Berlin during the spring, Sirus and I decided to take a short trip to Munich to explore the city. One morning, he surprised me with a spontaneous day trip to Neuschwanstein Castle—something out of a fairytale. The Bavarian countryside was caught in a magical moment between winter and spring, with delicate snow still on the ground and blossoms just beginning to bloom. When we arrived at the castle, we met with someone I assumed was a local tour guide. But as she began snapping photos of us, I started to suspect that something more was unfolding. As I turned away for a quick photo, I was asked to face Sirus—and there he was, down on one knee. Amid gentle snow flurries and the grandeur of the castle, he asked me to marry him. It was a breathtaking and unforgettable moment.

Guests could also enjoy seared airline chicken drizzled with a mango-citrus reduction, served alongside roasted fingerling potatoes and haricot verts. For a vegetarian option, a creamy three-mushroom risotto finished with Alba white truffle oil and shaved Parmesan was offered, rounding out a menu that was both refined and flavorful. Our signature welcome drink was a traditional mojito, refreshing and perfectly suited for the warm Miami weather. It was a vibrant way to kick off the celebration.

[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]For our June wedding, we embraced the vibrant spirit of summer with a soft, romantic palette of blush pinks, cream, and sage. To complement these tones, our floral arrangements introduced bursts of bright pink, orange, and burnished red, creating a fresh yet abundant garden atmosphere. Tablescapes were garnished with seasonal fruits—blood oranges, apricots, blackberries, green grapes, and pears—bringing an organic richness to the décor.[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]

We chose a lemon cake made with fragrant lemon oil, layered with tangy lemon curd buttercream and fresh strawberry buttercream. It was a bright, flavorful cake that perfectly captured the fresh and summery vibe of our wedding day.

[/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]

There were so many unforgettable moments throughout the day, but one that will stay with me forever was the transition in music during the ceremony—from the bridal party processional to my own entrance. That was my cue. My dad took my arm, and together we stepped through the doors and into view. As I rounded the corner and saw everyone—our closest friends and family—all smiling with such genuine joy, I was completely overwhelmed with love and support. Everyone was beaming with happiness for us. Then, I saw Sirius waiting at the end of the aisle. In that surreal moment, it truly hit me that I was walking toward my future husband. The joy and love I felt in that instant were unlike anything I’ve ever known. The Persian wedding table brought in cultural depth, symbolizing harmony and happiness, while scattered petals and an overflowing floral arch created a dreamy ceremony backdrop. Musically, classical harp melodies filled the ceremony, lending an elegant and serene ambiance

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]

My wedding gown was an ivory silk creation with soft draping along the shoulders and a romantic sweetheart neckline that tapered into a graceful A-line silhouette. The dress perfectly balanced vintage Old Hollywood glamour with effortless ease. To complement the gown, I chose a handmade, cathedral-length Chantilly lace veil with a delicate blusher, inspired by Grace Kelly’s iconic wedding day. I adored how the intricate lace added a timeless, romantic touch that beautifully framed the overall look.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]

Miami has been a favorite vacation spot for years, so choosing Villa Woodbine felt like a perfect fit. We were drawn to its intimate setting and undeniable European charm. The outdoor reception area was a dream come true, with tea tree lights and chandeliers hanging beneath a lush forest canopy. The venue’s enchanting architecture with creeping vines, fuchsia blooms, and a serene inner courtyard fountain created a nostalgic and romantic atmosphere that perfectly complemented our vision.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]

The table décor was the one detail I couldn’t live without. While florals played a central role, it was the combination of dinner plates, glassware, cutlery, and napkins that truly brought the reception vision to life. Each piece, from the floral designs on the plates to the gold flatware and deep green goblets, was thoughtfully chosen to create a cohesive, romantic setting. It was in these layered details that the entire atmosphere came together, turning the tables into a curated extension of our overall design.

A Palm Springs Inspired Wedding on Amelia Island with Tropical Texture and Family Heart

A variety of tropical colors and bamboo. Bamboo details were woven throughout the wedding design, with reception chargers, candles, larger-than-life lanterns, and baskets galore – all made from bamboo.

From the planner: “When your vibe is Palm Springs but your heart is in Amelia Island: Torn between two coasts, we brought the desert to the dunes with sculptural greens, tropical touches, and all the texture. Bamboo lanterns, breezy linens, and blooms for days. If summer had a personality, it would definitely be this setup.” From the bride: “Amelia Island has always felt like home for my family, so there was a sense of peace that day, being surrounded by family history. My dad grew up vacationing in Amelia and passed that tradition down to our family. My sister also recently got married on the island and relocated there. We can’t wait to continue passing down memories of the island to future generations.”

Molly wanted to bring her and Drew’s love for the Southwest (note the groom’s cacti tattoo on his hand!) to the East Coast, so the wedding design was all about bringing the desert to Amelia Island beach. A Grand Cape Cod Celebration Inspired by Italian Style and Maximalist Details

Both entering their second marriage, Nicole and Tucker wanted to celebrate in a grand, unforgettable fashion! Bringing Italy to Cape Cod, the couple opted for a maximalist design style with neutral tones of white, olive green, and dusty blue decorating Tucker’s seaside family home.

[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]From a dating app to a proposal in the City of Love — Nicole and Tucker’s story truly showcases the transformative power of finding the right person! After connecting online, the pair went on their first date at a local steakhouse in Boston. The connection was instant, and they made things official right away! Following a Christmas trip to Germany with Nicole’s family, Tucker whisked her away for a few days alone in Paris to ring in the new year. He popped the question while walking along the Pont Alexandre III bridge overlooking the Eiffel Tower. Unbeknownst to Nicole, a local photographer was waiting in the wings to capture the moment she said yes![/field]

A Classic Italian Villa Wedding at La Foce with Modern Elegance and Gentle Movement

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]blush, cream, baby blue[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

Sara and Lucas envisioned their wedding as a blend of timeless elegance and relaxed romance, thoughtfully designed to create a warm, inviting experience for their guests. Set against the backdrop of La Foce’s classic Italian charm, the celebration featured a soft, neutral palette with lush florals and flowing fabrics that added texture and movement. Their goal was to strike a balance between Italian tradition and modern style to honor their heritage and the historic beauty of the villa while incorporating contemporary touches for a fresh, elevated feel. Every detail, from custom monogrammed fans to the subtle Roman plaster textures in the stationery, was chosen with care to create a day that felt effortless, intimate, and beautifully cohesive both for the couple and for their guests.

[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]What started as a casual dinner plan with Lucas’ cousin, the same cousin who had introduced them eight years earlier, quickly became a night Sara and Lucas would never forget. Sara arrived at Lucas’ house expecting to have a quick drink before heading out, but as she walked into the backyard, she was surprised by a beautiful path of candles and flowers leading to an arch that read “It was always you.”

Lucas was waiting at the end of the path and got down on one knee. After the proposal, they shared an intimate dinner in the backyard with both of their parents and Sara’s dog, Bella, by their side. Though Bella passed just two weeks later, Sara feels grateful that she was there to be part of such a special moment—one that marked the start of a new chapter with Lucas.[/field]

Sara chose a gown by Ines Di Santo that struck the perfect balance between timeless sophistication and effortless wearability. Crafted from intricate lace, the gown embodied classic Italian romance, with a scalloped hem and dramatic low back adding just the right amount of impact. The silhouette was not only flattering but also allowed her to move with ease throughout the day’s celebrations. To complete the look, Ines designed a custom, nearly 20-foot veil edged in delicate lace to mirror the gown’s detailing, paired with a slimmer blusher that framed Sara’s face in soft, romantic layers. After dinner, as the sun set and the dancing began, Sara changed into a second look that reflected her love of both modern lines and romantic textures. Wanting to feel free and comfortable on the dance floor, she opted for a sleek silk gown by Jenny Yoo, customized with an asymmetrical draped sleeve and a high slit. The structured corset bodice offered a flattering fit, while a row of delicate buttons down the back added a subtle, charming detail. Light, elegant, and movement-friendly, the second gown was made for celebration, carrying her through the night with ease and style.

Sara and Lucas curated a wedding menu that delivered “wow!” with every bite, offering guests a memorable culinary experience that reflected the richness of the Tuscan setting. The meal began with a refreshing grilled peach and burrata salad, followed by a duo of pasta courses that set the tone for indulgence: handmade ricotta and lemon ravioli served in a delicate asparagus cream, and a vibrant red pepper risotto finished with burrata foam and a touch of pistachio. For the main course, guests selected between two options: a sea bass finished with a champagne and lemon sauce, or a tender beef fillet accompanied by a robust Chianti Classico reduction. As a thoughtful nod to the region, the couple served Tignanello, a celebrated Tuscan red wine, adding a luxurious complement to the meal’s flavours. The beverage experience was equally intentional, with signature cocktails crafted to reflect the couple’s personal tastes. Lucas’s signature old-fashioned and Sara’s gin and elderflower cocktail anchored the menu, which was divided between cocktail hour and post-dinner service. Guests enjoyed an array of spritzes, from timeless Aperol and limoncello variations to a refreshing Hugo and a regional peach-infused Tuscan spritz, each drink capturing the celebratory spirit and sun-soaked charm of the day.

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

The florals and décor thoughtfully echoed the natural beauty and charm of the Italian setting. A palette of neutral blooms, accented with subtle touches of powder blue, set a serene yet sophisticated tone for the day. Antique-inspired Italian cutlery, delicate glassware, and softly flickering candles introduced a sense of vintage elegance, while fairy lights hidden among the trees cast a gentle glow over the dinner area, adding warmth without overpowering the scene. Wooden chairs lent a rustic, Tuscan feel that harmonized effortlessly with the historic villa. The stationery design featured a Roman clay texture, with custom pocket menus personalized for each guest. Inside, softly shaped menus highlighted blue floral illustrations and a light steel blue clay backdrop that mirrored the floral arrangements. Each menu was finished with a French blue silk ribbon and a gold floral grommet, while powder blue napkins printed with a charming floral toile pattern tied the entire tablescape together, creating an atmosphere that felt both elevated and inviting.

The evening concluded with a memorable and interactive cake show, as Galateo’s pastry chefs crafted a stunning millefoglie layered with Chantilly cream, chocolate drops, and fresh berries. As the chefs expertly assembled the dessert in front of all the guests, Sara and Lucas joined in to add the final touches. The atmosphere was filled with laughter and cheers as friends and family gathered to watch the creation come to life, turning a classic Italian tradition into a shared experience. The moment highlighted the craftsmanship of the pastry team and transformed the wedding cake into a true centerpiece of the celebration.

As guests arrived at the villa, a live string quartet set the tone with classical music that beautifully complemented the elegance of the ceremony. Later, their spirited renditions of modern favorites during the cocktail hour added a playful, Bridgerton-inspired twist that delighted guests of all ages. Sara and Lucas had one clear priority for their reception: that it be fun for everyone. The music was thoughtfully curated to span generations and tastes, from lively Italian dance hits like “Sara Perche Ti Amo” to nostalgic ’90s and early 2000s favorites such as “Gasolina” and “Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!” This dynamic blend kept energy high and the dance floor full, creating an atmosphere of pure celebration that carried through the entire day.
