A Mediterranean Romance Blending Organic Elegance With Quiet, Meaningful Luxury

[section title=”The Planning”]

Beige, cream, and stone colors, shades of white and pearls, with pops of gold, black, and greenery

The wedding design reflected both the natural beauty of the Mediterranean coast and the couple’s appreciation for meaningful detail. The ceremony, set on a historic Romanesque terrace, featured flowing drapery and organic florals that echoed the timeless elegance of the surroundings. A soft carpet of scattered petals lined the aisle, creating a quietly iconic and ethereal atmosphere as Emily made her entrance, perfectly matching the spirit of the place and the occasion. Linen accents were thoughtfully incorporated into the welcome sign, seating chart, and bar menus, bringing a sense of Mediterranean simplicity and ease. A striking linen seating chart hung gracefully from an ancient olive tree, serving as both a symbolic gesture and a visual anchor at the reception entrance. With pearls, local Quicksand roses, and understated satin textures throughout, the design felt effortlessly organic while retaining a quiet sense of luxury.

[field title=”Proposal Story”]

Emily and Giovanni’s love story began on July 4th, 2015—a day that would unknowingly change their lives forever. Gio, a California guy fresh to New York City, had just moved east for a new chapter. Emily, a New York native, was living in Hoboken, New Jersey, and spending weekends that summer at a house with her girlfriends on the Jersey Shore. That weekend, Gio and his friends decided last-minute to skip the Hamptons and head down to Belmar instead. The number one rule of the Jersey Shore? Never fall in love there. But Cupid clearly had other plans. They met that night, sparks flew instantly, and the rest was history. Shortly after meeting, they began dating in New York and moved in together not long after. Their relationship unfolded naturally, full of laughter and shared goals. Over the last decade, they’ve lived together in New York, Los Angeles, and now split their time between NYC and Barcelona. Most mornings, they still start their day the same way: together—walking to the gym, grabbing their favorite coffee, and stopping at church to give thanks for their health, their love, and the life they’re building. In Giovanni’s words: “One day, she came home and I looked at her and thought, how could I live without this woman?” That night, he bought her engagement ring and shortly after booked a surprise trip to Paris, France, where he proposed on February 12, 2022.

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]

Emily had three bridal fashion moments: For the welcome party, a custom couture gown designed by Salma Osman, adorned with glass beading throughout, gave it a shimmering, light-catching effect from every angle. The dress features a halter-style neckline with intricate beaded detailing, and the bodice has delicate cutouts at the sides and waist, adding a fashion-forward edge while still feeling elegant and romantic. Finished with a soft, flowing train and sheer overlay, the gown blends glamour and coastal elegance, making it the perfect statement for the welcome soiree on the coast and complementing their Mediterranean vibe. For the ceremony and dinner, a Berta Bridal Couture gown paired with a custom veil and train crafted by Bridal Avenue Barcelona. A couture lace gown with a timeless silhouette, this wedding dress features intricate all-over lacework. The fitted structure is balanced by a flowing, cathedral-length train of soft tulle, edged with subtle lace appliqué designed to catch the light beautifully and add a whisper of drama. The long veil seamlessly blends into the train, creating a breathtaking, almost celestial effect. For the reception after-party, another Salma Osman custom piece. Emily’s after-party dress was designed to be a head-turning, couture mini covered in dazzling crystal embellishments and delicate beading. The structured corset bodice features a lace-up back and sheer cutouts, adding a sultry edge to the sparkle. Paired with a dreamy, draped tulle overlay that moves with every step, the look is equal parts glamorous and ethereal, made for dancing the night away. Gio wore a custom Canali tuxedo, sourced from Santa Eulalia, a luxury boutique in Barcelona with over 180 years of history, chosen intentionally to reflect the legacy and elegance of the venue itself.

[field title=”Food & Drink”]The welcome dinner menu especially paid tribute to Giovanni’s Spanish heritage, with a focus on traditional dishes such as tapas and paella, accompanied by regional wines and generous pours of cava, served throughout both the welcome evening and wedding day. Emily and Giovanni envisioned the weekend as a heartfelt gathering, not just a celebration of their love, but a tribute to the people who traveled far to be there, most of them from the United States. Each guest was welcomed with a handwritten note of gratitude and a bottle of the couple’s favorite Spanish wine, a small gesture reflecting their deep appreciation for every presence. [/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

Their ceremony was designed to feel immersive and dreamy—Mediterranean air, natural textures, and the sound of the sea surrounded guests. The drapery created by Daniel LaFuente perfectly complemented the magnificent views of the Mediterranean coast and framed the emotional moments of the ceremony. A highlight was the live performance by Swite Duo, a Spanish violinist and guitarist duo, who played romantic classics as Emily walked down the aisle. The atmosphere was fairytale-like.

The cake and champagne tower were personalized to the concept design of the event by our wedding planner, Aly, Azalea Events House, who kept a close eye on the moments of the two creations taking center stage.

[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]

They got married on June 20, 2025, at the historic Hostal de la Gavina in S’Agaró, Spain, just two weeks before their 10th anniversary. The venue wasn’t just beautiful—it felt destined. During their first visit, they walked the nearby Cami de Ronda, a coastal path that outlines the history of the town and property. Along the way, they discovered names and dates that felt eerily connected to their own lives. With Giovanni’s grandmother born in Granada, Spain, and their new home base in Barcelona, it all felt aligned. They knew in their hearts and gut that this was the place they were meant to start the next chapter. Emily worked closely with Azalea Events House to bring her vision to life for the event design. The celebration unfolded across three days, the perfect Spanish destination-wedding experience: Welcome Party – “Sands of Elegance Welcome Atardecer” — a beachy yet elegant gathering in white, cream, and the beautiful glass beads of her dress bringing in shimmer at Taverna Del Mar- a famous and historical restaurant on the beach in S’Agaró, Spain. Wedding Ceremony & Reception – set high above the sea at the historic and breathtaking Senya Blanc, a secluded architectural gem nestled in the Mediterranean coast, where soft drapery caught the breeze and crashing waves echoed below. The reception was held at the iconic Hotel La Gavina (@magicalweddinglagavina), a 5-star coastal landmark known for its timeless old Hollywood glamour and cinematic sea views. Catamaran Day – a relaxed, joyful sailing trip through Costa Brava, celebrating their final hours as newlyweds with loved ones

Following Indian tradition, the wedding was a multi-day affair, and each one with its own unique elements that still fell under the same romantic pastel design. For the first night, the florist created a vibrant bougainvillea installation on the ceiling of the greenhouse event space and lined the tables with a mixture of fuchsia and yellow arrangements. For the Western wedding ceremony, clusters of whimsical pastel arrangements lined the aisle and created an altar, and the same aesthetic was carried through into the reception space.

[field title=”Wedding Cake”]

For the Indian wedding, the couple cut into a towering croquembouche. Then, for the Western wedding, the couple decided on a traditional tiered wedding cake decorated in Lambeth-style buttercream but with a delectable pink twist.

A Four-Day Wedding Celebration of Style and Soul Across Marbella’s Most Iconic Venues

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]

The wedding ceremony took place in the romantic amphitheater garden of Anantara Villa Padierna, where the color palette was intentionally restrained and serene. A soft harmony of creamy whites, ivory tones, and subtle greens enveloped the space with elegance and calm. Lush white florals—including hydrangeas, lisianthus, garden roses, and peonies—lined the aisle and framed the altar, creating a timeless visual serenity beneath the cypress trees. The floral design emphasized purity and texture over color, allowing the architectural grandeur of the garden to breathe. The result was a scene that felt refined, soulful, and deeply intimate—a poetic prelude to the celebrations that followed. Reception & Gala Dinner As guests moved into the reception and gala dinner, the atmosphere transformed into a crescendo of joyful color and Mediterranean vibrancy. The signature staircase, leading down into the open-air dining courtyard, bloomed with abundant florals in sun-washed pinks, soft peaches, coral tones, and radiant apricots, punctuated by romantic white blooms and trailing greens. Over a hundred ivory candles flickered alongside the florals, guiding guests toward an unforgettable evening. At the base of the stairs, the dining area revealed a palette of blush, gold, and dusty rose, layered with delicate transparency and luxe textures. Velvet mint-green lounges contrasted softly with the terracotta architecture, creating curated lounge areas nestled between floral clouds. Every angle was designed to feel cinematic and elevated. The table settings combined regal structure with romantic softness. Blush-pink linens were paired with fine porcelain chargers in soft pink and gold, featuring custom menus with gilded calligraphy on each plate. The glassware was a highlight: delicate pink crystal goblets and wine glasses added a jewel-like brilliance to the tablescape, echoed by the gold brushed flatware. The florals on the tables mirrored the surrounding installations—lush, abundant, and painterly, with garden roses, peonies, and ranunculus in varying shades of pink and apricot. Tall tapered candles in glass vessels completed the glow, casting a warm golden light that bathed the evening in softness and celebration.

[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

Visual Philosophy The progression of colors—from the pure whites of the ceremony to the sunset hues of the dinner, and the subtle touches of mint and blush in the décor—was not incidental. It was a visual narrative designed to mirror the emotional rhythm of the day: from reverence to joy, from timeless elegance to radiant celebration. Every detail, every shade, was carefully chosen to reflect Caroline & Wei’s personalities—modern, joyful, international, and emotionally present. The entire design spoke of a love that honors tradition but lives vibrantly in the now.

[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]

Some love stories begin quietly. Caroline & Wei’s began with laughter, costumes, and an unmistakable spark. They met on Halloween night in London. He was dressed as The Joker — charismatic, bold, a little unexpected. She arrived as Wonder Woman — radiant, elegant, and effortlessly magnetic. What began as a playful encounter quickly revealed itself to be something deeper — a connection between two strong, magnetic personalities with sharp minds and even sharper humor. From that moment forward, their story unfolded with intention and joy. When Wei proposed, he did so with timeless grace — offering Caroline a Tiffany engagement ring, a symbol of classic elegance for a love that felt at once modern and eternal. To honor the night they met, the couple created two signature cocktails for the wedding celebration: “The Joker” — a spicy margarita with a twist of mischief, and “Wonder Woman” — a sparkling Aperol Spritz that captured her brightness and charm. Every guest raised a glass not only to the future, but to the magical moment that started it all.

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]

The Bride’s Fashion Caroline’s bridal wardrobe was a curated expression of elegance, joy, and modern femininity, unfolding across four distinct celebrations. Each look was chosen with intention — to reflect not only the setting, but her own evolving energy throughout the weekend. Welcome Party at La Cabane by Dolce & Gabbana. For the glamorous seaside welcome party, Caroline wore a sculptural white cocktail dress by Helsi, adorned with delicate rosettes and a sleek silhouette that danced effortlessly in the Marbella breeze. She paired it with silver Christian Louboutin sandals, completing a look that was fresh, polished, and unapologetically chic. The Mediterranean backdrop, paired with the bold D&G interiors of La Cabane, created a striking stage for this radiant entrance. Beach Party at La Plage Casanis The next day, for the beach party under the Andalusian sun, she embraced a playful twist — a beaded mini-dress by Oceanus, embroidered with vibrant under-the-sea motifs. The look was youthful, joyful, and delightfully unexpected, perfectly capturing the spirit of the day. She paired it with Valentino sandals and wore her hair down with minimal jewelry, letting her smile and the sparkle of the dress do all the talking. Wedding Day at Anantara Villa Padierna Palace. For the ceremony, Caroline wore an ethereal couture gown by Mira Zwillinger. Crafted in diaphanous tulle and adorned with intricate floral appliqués, the gown felt like a whisper of romance and modern regality. She complemented it with a Monique Lhuillier veil, Stuart Weitzman shoes, and a graceful bouquet of white peonies. Later, for the after-party, she changed into a crystal-embellished mini-dress by Clio Peppiatt, exuding glamour and freedom as she took the dance floor surrounded by candlelight and florals. ⸻ Jewelry & Personal Touches Her jewelry choices were equally meaningful. She wore: – Wedding bands from Tiffany & Co. – Earrings by Anabela Chan – And a diamond tennis bracelet passed down from her mother, adding a deeply emotional note to her ensemble. Each look was a celebration in itself — from seaside chic to couture elegance, from sparkle to sentiment — woven seamlessly into a weekend that was as fashionable as it was heartfelt.

[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]Bridesmaids Fashion

Caroline’s bridal party looked effortlessly refined in matching olive green satin gowns, each silhouette individually selected to complement the natural elegance of each woman. The satin’s gentle sheen played beautifully against the classical architecture and cypress-lined gardens of Villa Padierna, evoking a feeling of modern romance with a Mediterranean soul.

The dresses featured a curated mix of necklines and cuts — from strapless to asymmetrical, cowl necks to structured bodices — allowing each bridesmaid to express her own style while maintaining a harmonious visual ensemble. Paired with neutral heels and soft waves, the look was understated yet elevated.

Each bridesmaid carried a simple bouquet of white peonies, echoing Caroline’s own, creating a poetic continuity from bride to bridal party — a detail that felt timeless and pure amid the grandeur of the day.[/field]
[field title=”Groomsman Attire”]

The Groom’s Attire Wei’s style throughout the four-day celebration reflected effortless refinement with subtle sophistication — a balance of modern tailoring, personal touches, and timeless elegance. Wedding Day For the ceremony and reception at Villa Padierna, he wore a custom black tuxedo by Caroline Andrew, impeccably cut and styled with Cartier cufflinks, a Tiffany & Co. wedding band, and classic tuxedo shoes by Church’s. The look was clean, confident, and quietly elevated — perfectly suited to the grandeur of the setting and the elegance of the bride’s couture gown. Welcome Party at La Cabane. At the welcome party overlooking the sea, Wei opted for a more relaxed but equally sophisticated aesthetic: a custom light blue suit crafted by a private tailor, paired with a crisp white shirt and no tie. The outfit captured the fresh, Mediterranean mood of La Cabane — laid-back yet stylish. Beach Party at La Plage Casanis. For the daytime beach celebration, Wei embraced playful coastal energy with a white linen shirt by Reiss and patterned swim trunks from Vilebrequin — ideal for champagne showers, dancing, and sun-drenched toasts with friends. From black-tie elegance to barefoot celebration, every outfit reflected his personality — intentional, versatile, and completely in sync with the energy of each event.

Food & Beverage Experience Welcome Party at La Cabane by Dolce & Gabbana Set against the sea breeze and the chic white-and-blue interiors of La Cabane, the welcome party was a culinary love letter to the Mediterranean. The cocktail menu was curated by Dani García, one of Spain’s most celebrated Michelin-starred chefs (3 stars), blending elegance with authenticity. Highlights included a creamy black truffle and Parmesan risotto, Almadraba red tuna tartare, freshly shucked oysters, and hand-carved Jamón Ibérico. Champagne flowed endlessly, transforming the evening into a golden prelude of style, flavour, and sea-kissed sophistication. ⸻ Beach Party at La Plage Casanis The beach party was an unapologetic celebration of summer: high-energy, sun-soaked, and playful. Guests danced in the sand with Veuve Clicquot champagne & Margaritas in hand, while enjoying a vibrant array of bites — from mini wagyu burgers and lobster brioche, to octopus with hummus and quinoa salad. Everything was designed to be shared, toasted, and enjoyed freely, creating an atmosphere that felt both editorial and effortless. ⸻ Wedding Day at Anantara Villa Padierna The wedding day culinary experience unfolded in three movements — from elegant cocktail hour to candlelit fine dining under the stars. During cocktail hour, guests were served foie bonbons, pistachio macarons stuffed with foie gras, seafood mini cones, and gluten-free options like scallops with grilled bread, shrimp in a potato nest with sweet chile, and brie with sweet onion preserve. Dinner began with a refined lobster salad in tomato jelly, followed by Angus tenderloin with celery purée and baby carrots, served as a single carved piece for each guest. The dessert — a delicate pavlova with red berries, paired with Espresso Martinis — added a final, airy note of sweetness to a feast that was rich in taste, elegance, and intention. The wine list featured Albariño, Rioja, and Champagne, chosen for their clean structure and celebratory spirit. ⸻ Throughout all three days, signature tequila shots served in playful syringes added a festive, glamorous twist — an unexpected ritual that quickly became iconic. As the nights deepened, midnight snacks were served, and guests danced until sunrise, closing each celebration not with formality, but with joy.

[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

Flowers & Decor The floral and decor design of this celebration was not just beautiful — it was structural, intentional, and deeply alive. Rather than acting as a simple embellishment, the design traced the emotional and spatial arc of the entire experience, guiding guests through a carefully choreographed sequence of sensations. Each space was treated as a stage, each transition as a narrative shift. The ceremony began in a garden amphitheater embraced by cypress trees and Roman stone. There, the design remained restrained — white blooms and fresh greenery echoing the classical symmetry of the venue. Florals framed the steps and softened the architecture without overpowering it, allowing the moment to remain sacred. From there, the celebration flowed like a composition. The grand staircase became both a visual and physical descent into celebration — lined with candlelight and floral color in crescendo, inviting guests into a reception space conceived as a garden salon. Every curve of the layout was intentional: mint velvet lounges nestled among peony hedges, floral mounds placed like sculptures, and tables arranged to feel intimate even in their scale. The dining design was built on tension and elegance: • Monochrome linens against lush color, • Vintage porcelain beside modern crystal, • Structured seating softened by organic centerpieces that undulated down the table as if growing in place. Every element was placed not for aesthetic alone, but to serve a ritual of gathering, movement, and emotion. Even the dance floor — surrounded by cascading floral walls and trees overhead — felt like a garden in bloom under the stars. It was decor, yes. But more than that, it was a frame for memory. A language for love. A choreography of presence.

[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]

The Wedding Cake The wedding cake stood as a quiet sculpture of elegance — a three-tiered creation dressed in textured white buttercream, with delicate florals cascading asymmetrically across the surface. The design was minimal, yet rich in detail: soft petal textures, tonal whites, and a gentle play of light and shadow created a cake that felt both architectural and organic. Adorned with fresh roses, peonies, and lisianthus in shades of pink, blush, and ivory, it echoed the floral language of the tables and ceremony, tying the entire design story together with grace. Placed on a mirrored pedestal surrounded by candles, it became not just a dessert — but a final, poetic gesture of beauty at the close of a perfectly choreographed celebration… and then the party began.

[field title=”Special Detail #1″]A Signature Moment

One of the most unforgettable memories of the weekend wasn’t planned — it happened every night, spontaneously, joyfully, and always with full hearts:
“Sweet Caroline”.

As a tribute to the bride, guests joined voices in unison to sing the iconic anthem — arms swaying, glasses raised, voices echoing into the night. From the welcome party to the wedding reception, it became an unofficial tradition: a moment of pure joy that united everyone in song, love, and celebration.

It wasn’t just music.
It was memory, made alive through ritual —
a love song turned into a legacy.

[field title=”Wedding Colors”]Light blue, sage green, and butter yellow with pops of light pink and peach. [/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

Originally from Oklahoma and inspired by their shared love of travel, the couple envisioned a wedding that reflected both their roots and their journey together. The design blended classic Charleston elegance with Cuban influences from the groom’s heritage, creating a celebration that was both refined and full of color. Thoughtful details like rattan chargers, light blue floral-patterned plates, and playful florals added texture and warmth to the tablescapes, subtly nodding to the couple’s love for this Southern city. Set at the secluded Old Wide Awake in the Lowcountry, the intimate gathering felt like a true destination experience, surrounded by the couple’s closest family and friends.

[field title=”Proposal Story”]The couple got engaged in the breathtaking Douro Valley of Portugal after a day filled with the things they love the most – travel, adventure, and wine. Salthouse Catering & Events created a culinary experience that highlighted the rich flavors of Charleston, South Carolina. Guests enjoyed a curated raw bar during cocktail hour, along with a mix of passed hors d’oeuvres, followed by entrée options of beef filet or scallops, thoughtfully paired with Carolina gold middlins rice and benne seed asparagus. To round out the experience, late-night bites included crowd-pleasing fried chicken biscuits—an ode to Southern comfort. Every element was thoughtfully crafted to reflect the flavors and hospitality of the Lowcountry.

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

The bride envisioned a palette that was happy and cheerful, bringing a vibrant energy to the entire celebration. Floral arrangements lined the aisle, guiding the way to the venue’s iconic greenery-lined steps, where two large, lush arrangements created a stunning ceremony backdrop. For the reception, bright and colorful centerpieces perfectly complemented the Charleston-Cuban-inspired place settings and linens, tying together the design with a joyful and cohesive feel.

[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]

In place of a traditional wedding cake, the couple chose a gelato truck offering a variety of flavors—a fun and meaningful nod to their first date, which ended with ice cream, and their tradition of never skipping dessert. It was the perfect cool and sweet touch for a hot summer wedding day, delighting guests and adding a personal, nostalgic element to the celebration.

[field title=”Special Detail #1″]The groom brought along his own film camera to capture personal moments throughout the day—most notably, candid shots of his bride that he took himself. This heartfelt detail added an intimate, nostalgic layer to the celebration and reflected the couple’s shared appreciation for storytelling through imagery. His perspective behind the lens offered a unique, personal glimpse into the day’s emotion and beauty. It was a meaningful way to preserve their memories beyond the professional photos.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]

The specialty linens were chosen as a nod to the couple’s shared love of travel and the vibrant cultures that have shaped their story. The design reflects both their time in Portugal, where they were engaged, and the groom’s Cuban heritage, blending personal meaning with the colorful spirit of celebration they wanted to bring to their wedding day.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]

Instead of the traditional approach, the couple wanted to use a custom mailbox and guests to leave notes on postcards they had collected from their favorite places around the world together. This thoughtful detail added a nostalgic, travel-inspired aesthetic to the overall design that truly elevated the guest experience.

A Fresh Citrus Celebration in Boca Grande at Gasparilla Inn

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]Peach, white, green, blue, pink, orange [/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

Alison and Ryan’s Citrus Wedding is a nod to the beauty of Boca Grande, FL. They hone in on tropical elements while maintaining a timeless and elegant atmosphere. Unique and playful elements include fresh citrus on the tables, creative and cohesive paper goods with the same pattern of a mix of seagulls, alligators, palm trees, sea shells, etc. You can find that pattern from the seating chart, to the super bar, to matchbooks and bar signs, and to personalized place cards.

[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]From the very beginning, it was clear that Alison and Ryan shared something truly rare—an unwavering connection that had withstood distance, demanding careers, and even unexpected military deployments. No matter the challenges life threw their way, their bond remained steady, grounded in love and a deep understanding of one another.

Ryan had been planning to propose for some time, but a sudden overseas deployment forced him to move quickly. Determined to make it happen before he left, he scrambled to finish the ring and piece together a meaningful moment—something true to who they are.

On a chilly December afternoon, Alison believed they were heading out for a bit of holiday shopping and a manicure before visiting family. But instead, Ryan took a detour downtown. Their favorite rooftop bar was unexpectedly closed, the weather wasn’t ideal, and the moment didn’t quite go as planned. Ryan, uncharacteristically nervous, eventually gave up on the downtown plan and brought Alison back to their neighborhood marina—the quiet spot where they often walked and watched the sunset together.

That’s where it happened. With the sun setting and casting a golden-pink glow over the water, Ryan dropped to one knee—just a little too close to the edge. Instinctively, Alison reached out to steady him (and the ring), laughing through the nerves, before joyfully saying yes.

It was imperfectly perfect—full of warmth, spontaneity, and authenticity. A moment that captured exactly who they are together. [/field]

A lush, sun-kissed paradise brought to life — this wedding look captures the essence of an upscale island dream. The design is full of bright botanicals, warm citrus hues, and a sense of playful elegance. The floral chandelier ties together tropical and modern romance with golden globes mixed within. Alternating the table linens and napkins elevated the space and added a fun touch of pattern play!

[field title=”Wedding Cake”]Key Lime Cake with Cream Cheese Filling [/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”][/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]One of the most meaningful aspects of planning Alison and Ryan’s wedding was the deep personal connection they shared with the location. Boca Grande Island and the Gasparilla Inn weren’t just a beautiful backdrop—they were part of their story. Both grew up vacationing on the island, spending summers fishing with their families just half a mile apart, never knowing their paths would one day cross.

With family roots in Florida’s citrus industry and a shared love for the charm of Old Florida, Alison and Ryan wanted their wedding to feel like a true reflection of who they are and where they come from. Our goal was to weave those elements seamlessly into the celebration—bringing in nostalgic, personal touches in a way that felt elegant, authentic, and timeless.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]

Another meaningful element of Alison and Ryan’s wedding was the incorporation of Ryan’s military service into the celebration. Honoring that part of his life added a layer of depth and pride to the weekend. One of the most memorable moments was the couple’s entrance into the reception beneath a Sabre Arch formed by Ryan’s fellow servicemen—a powerful tribute from his brothers in arms that brought both emotion and elegance to the evening.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]Alison and Ryan wanted a band that could bring energy and joy to guests of all ages—from 28 to 88. We recommended The RiverTown Band, and they absolutely exceeded all expectations. Their performance kept the dance floor alive and created an unforgettable atmosphere. Friends and family have since shared that this was not only the most beautiful wedding they’ve ever attended but also the most fun. One especially touching moment came when Ryan’s 93-year-old grandmother told her grandchildren, “Out of all the weddings I’ve been to, this was the best one!”[/field]

An Earthy Baja California Wedding Blending Desert Calm, Coastal Style, and a Hint of Vintage

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]

When we toured the venue for the first time, Sarah fell in love with their aesthetic and colors. We wanted to marry the scenery with the hotel surroundings, so we opted for pinks, greens, and sky blues to tie everything together.

[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

The vibe and the vision were always how we tie in the surrounding settings of the ocean and the desert, with the local style of Baja California, and also make it the couple’s vision too, which Sarah said was ‘earthy, but a tad bit funky and vintage.” Choosing a venue that already had a solid design that fit that style was a helpful way to build off our own design.

“Sean and I met on Bumble in 2017 and bonded over a shared love for a small band no one else seemed to like (The Menzingers). When it came time to propose, he hired that band to play an intimate acoustic set for us after he popped the question. It was AWESOME and I was STARSTRUCK lol”

[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

Florals were designed and curated by Allium Studio Floral, based in Mexico City. They went above and beyond on the ceremony, which we then utilized in our dinner space palette. Allium’s specialty is cool and funky compositions, which is exactly what Sarah wanted.

[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]

Our cake was provided by Hotel San Cristobal, a delicious vanilla cake. We didn’t do a formal cake cutting, but wanted everyone to have a slice at their seat. The leftovers made it to the pool party the next day, which was a great hangover hit.

[/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]

“Both Sean and I walked down the aisle to Crave by Paramore because we feel like it summed up our feelings for this incredible weekend: trying to live in the moment, with all of our loved ones, knowing we’re gonna crave to do it all again someday. “

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]

“We asked our wedding planner, Chloe, to officiate our ceremony. She was an integral part of the wedding, and it only felt right to have her round out the year and a half we spent together planning this wedding. Since we are already legally married, she graciously agreed to unofficially officiate our wedding ceremony! She absolutely rocked it, lots of laughs and happy tears. I wouldn’t have wanted anyone else to do it, and only wished I had had it recorded to watch it all over again.”

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]

Since we did the wedding on Friday, with guest check-in on Thursday, we decided to make Saturday the pool party recovery day. Guests loved just having the day to relax before heading home the next morning, and loved the taco bar, leftover wedding cake, and a poleta cart from town to round it all out.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]

Fireworks! The first song when the dance floor opened was “Firework” by Katy Perry, and Chloe had coordinated the exact timing with a local firework provider to make it a special surprise for our guests and have the ultimate party starter.

Veil Styles 101: Which Is Right For You?

Choosing a veil can be surprisingly difficult; mostly because you’ve probably never worn one before, so how do you know what you like? Don’t stress–we’ll break it down for you! When shopping for bridal accessories, the first question most brides ask is, “Do I need a veil?”. The short answer, no, you don’t need a veil, but do you want one? If you don’t want a veil, there are plenty of alternatives that will give you that “bride” feel, like headpieces and capes. If you’re on the fence at all, remember, your wedding day is the only day you will have an excuse to wear a veil–so we say go for it! Now, let’s talk options!

PHOTOGRAPHY | Jemma Keech

Blusher vs No Blusher

The first decision you’ll need to make is whether or not you want a blusher. A blusher is the layer of the veil that drapes over your face. Traditionally, it is worn over the face for the walk down the aisle and then the Father of the Bride (or whoever is walking with you) lifts the blusher and reveals your face for the first time during the ceremony. This look is perfect for formal weddings, especially if your ceremony is being held at a religious venue. If you’re all about the pomp and circumstance, go big–go blusher.

If your ceremony is fairly informal and a blusher seems a little over-the-top for you, there are plenty of veil options that don’t have blushers. You can also wear a veil with the blusher flipped back instead of draped over your face, creating a tiered look.

PHOTOGRAPHY | Mallory Dawn Photography

Styles

1. Traditional

Most veils are made from tulle (pronounced tool), a lightweight sheer net, that is gathered and sewn to a comb. Combs can be wide or narrow and the volume of the veil depends on how much tulle has been gathered into the comb. Some veils are simple and drape close to the head while others are full and voluminous. Traditional veils are the most versatile; they pair great with any gown whether it is minimalist or ornate.

PHOTOGRAPHER | Ether & Smith

2. Mantilla-style

Inspired by Spanish Mantillas, these are simple veils that are trimmed in delicate scalloped lace and fastened to a comb. They are traditionally worn over the shoulders as well. Mantilla-style veils add a romantic old-world feel. They pair great with lace gowns and vintage venues.

PHOTOGRAPHY | Mallory Dawn Photography

3. Embellished

Veils can be simple or they can be ornately embellished with lace, embroidery, silk petals, or beading. It just depends on how much of a statement you want to make. We recommend a simple veil if your gown is ornate and vice versa–the simpler the gown the more adventurous you can be with your veil.

PHOTOGRAPHY | Jemma Keech

4. Juliette Cap

A Juliette cap veil covers the crown of the head and is fastened on either side by small combs or pins. It is often decorated with lace or other appliqués on the cap. Juliette cap veils add a boho feel to a look and pair nicely with flowy lace and net gowns.

BRIDE | Kate Moss  VEIL | John Galliano

5. Birdcage

When you think birdcage veil, think old-Hollywood. These are the small, sexy veils that are made from a Russian net that is delicate and has larger holes than traditional tulle veils. They can be worn on top of the head or across the eyes for a dramatic touch.

RETAILER | JCrew  VEIL | Twigs and Honey

Veil Length

Like gowns, veils come in a variety of lengths. Currently, most veils range from elbow-length to cathedral.

Things to Consider When Selecting Veil Length

Train Length- When choosing a veil length, consider the length of the train on your gown. If you have a long train, we recommend choosing a veil that is slightly longer–this adds dramatic effect as you walk down the aisle. If you have a train with ornate detail, consider a shorter veil so it doesn’t get covered up. The ideal veil compliments your gown, so choose the features that you want to highlight and make sure that your veil doesn’t hide them.

Size of Venue- Another thing to consider when choosing a length for your veil is your venue. If you’re getting married in a chapel, it’s easy–go with a Chapel-length veil. But not all venues make it that simple. In general, your veil should reflect the size of your venue. If you’re getting married in an intimate setting, your veil should be shorter than if you were getting married in a grand cathedral.

Popular Lengths

1. Elbow- Approximately 30” in length and hangs just around the elbow. This length is flirty making it perfect for a more casual ceremony and venue.

PHOTOGRAPHY | Sposto Photography

2. Fingertip- Approximately 40” in length and hangs near the fingertips. This is a subtle veil length that pairs well with a gown that has an ornately embellished train.

PHOTOGRAPHY | Alyssa Nikole Photography

3. Waltz- Approximately 54” in length and falls just above the floor (depending on your height). This veil length pairs well with a gown that has a modest train.

PHOTOGRAPHY | Feather & Twine

4. Chapel- Approximately 90” in length, this veil should be paired with a gown with a slightly shorter train. This length is perfect for formal yet intimate venues.

PHOTOGRAPHY | Julie Cate Photography

5. Cathedral- At approximately 120” in length, this veil is by far the most dramatic. It should be longer than the train on your gown and is perfect for grand, over-the-top, venues.

A Romantic Kiawah Island Wedding Beneath Grand Oaks and Lowcountry Skies

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]White, blue, green, teal[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

Embracing the venue’s Lowcountry charm was a defining element of Currie and Max’s wedding, a romantic celebration steeped in natural beauty and elegance. Set beneath the sweeping branches of a grand oak tree draped in Spanish moss — a signature of Kiawah Island — the entire day unfolded outdoors, anchored by the surrounding landscape.

[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]College sweethearts Currie and Max were first introduced by a mutual friend who attempted to set them up on a date. But the momentum behind that plan quickly fizzled, and the two didn’t truly connect until a year later — on Halloween. Despite a flurry of mixed signals, that night ended with a kiss: Currie dressed as Voldemort, complete with full face paint, and Max as William Wallace. By Valentine’s Day, they were officially a couple, thanks to what Currie described as “the most amazing dorm room meal I’ve ever had,” cooked by Max. From the beginning, Max loved that Currie could talk to anyone about anything, while Currie was drawn to Max’s gentle spirit, sense of humor, and kindness. When it came time to propose, Currie had no suspicions. Under the guise of attending an alumni event, she spent the morning wandering their old campus. They shared lunch at the spot where they’d had their first date, picked out books for each other at Currie’s favorite bookstore, and visited the campus chapel. Eventually, they made their way to a beautiful stone arch, where Max stopped and handed Currie a piece of paper, asking her to read it. At the end of the heartfelt poem Max had written, he dropped to one knee. Through tears, Currie asked what time the alumni event started — only to learn there was no event at all. Instead, they joined their families at a nearby restaurant, where a room full of loved ones awaited. “Our engagement was certainly the best day of my life,” Currie reminisced.[/field]

Although Currie and Max come from different religious backgrounds, they intentionally crafted a deeply personal ceremony, featuring four literary readings, each delivered by someone meaningful to them. Music played a vital role throughout the day: a string ensemble accompanied the ceremony, family members performed heartfelt songs, and Currie’s brother played their grandfather’s bagpipes.

Before the ceremony, Currie was enveloped in a “women’s circle,” where candles were lit and each woman read a note, poem, quote, or passage for Currie to carry into her married life.

A Colorful Garden Party Wedding Under the Stars in the Heart of Houston

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]Blush, Coral, Pink, Orange and Green[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

We never pictured having a formal black tie wedding and instead wanted the day to feel relaxed, joyful, and intimate, more like a dinner party than a traditional wedding. Our vision was colorful, personal, and full of warmth, and it came to life as the dreamiest garden party under the stars. With lush florals, twinkling lights, and the perfect splash of color, the entire day felt magical. You’d truly never guess we were right in the heart of Houston, Texas!

[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]After a year of long distance, Cade completely surprised me by proposing on what I thought was just a birthday dinner for him. As we were being led to our table, I turned the corner and saw the most beautiful candlelit setup with rose petals everywhere. It felt like a scene straight out of a romantic movie. We shared our first moments as an engaged couple in that quiet, intimate space before I was surprised again with all of our closest friends and family waiting to celebrate with us in the next room. It was pure magic from start to finish![/field]

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]

Going into wedding dress shopping, I knew I wanted something that truly felt like me, not like I was playing dress up. It wasn’t until I tried on the very last dress of the day, the Dandelion gown by Tara LaCour, that I had that “ah-ha” moment you always hear about. The whimsical A-line silhouette and eyelet fabric felt like it was made just for our colorful garden party wedding. It was playful, romantic, and so uniquely me.

[/field]
[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]I let my bridesmaids choose their own dresses in a mix of corals, pinks, and oranges. It was really important to me that each of them felt like themselves on the wedding day, rather than sticking to something super uniform. They absolutely nailed it. The colors came together beautifully and added so much personality and joy to the overall look![/field]
[field title=”Groomsman Attire”]

Cade and his groomsmen rented their suits from Generation Tux. I was a little hesitant at first since tan suits can sometimes give off a beach wedding vibe, but I trusted my vision. In the end, they complemented our wedding colors perfectly and looked amazing in the garden setting.

We decided to serve Tex-Mex and margaritas instead of a formal plated dinner to keep the atmosphere relaxed and casual. During cocktail hour, we had a queso and quesadilla bar, followed by fajitas for dinner. Our guests absolutely loved it!

[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

One of my absolute favorite details of the day was the florals. From the moment we chose our venue, its natural beauty inspired us to let the flowers take center stage as the primary and only decor. We embraced a vibrant palette bursting with color that perfectly complemented the garden setting. The lush, abundant blooms truly brought the space to life and created an enchanting atmosphere that felt both elegant and effortlessly magical.

[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]

I wanted the cake to be a true focal point in the garden because it was intentionally designed to mirror the eyelet detailing on my wedding dress. It was a stunning five-tier buttercream masterpiece in a classic wedding cake flavor that everyone loved. I already can’t wait to enjoy it again on our anniversary!

[/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]We danced the night away to all the classics along with plenty of early 2000s hits—our absolute favorite! The music kept the energy high and the dance floor full all night long.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]

One of my favorite details was collaborating with my graphic designer on our paper goods and stationery. We included hand-drawn sketches of our dog, Maisy, our rings, our cake, and more. Each element felt so personal and uniquely us.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]

We brought out our custom “Phelans Gone Wild” trucker hats during our reception, and they were so much fun. The hats added even more color once the sun went down and really kept the party vibe going. Looking back, I wish I had enough for every single guest to have one!

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]

We held both our ceremony and reception in the same garden, so our vendors executed an incredible room flip during cocktail hour. I was absolutely blown away when I saw everything I had envisioned come to life!

A Jekyll Island Wedding Filled With Dusty Blues, Cane Chairs, and Romantic Garden Details

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]

[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

Tyler and Travis met for the first time in Latin class and later traveled on a group trip abroad in Italy, which was a key moment in their relationship. They knew they wanted to honor that history together and incorporate it into their wedding design. The beautiful European-inspired architecture of Crane Cottage at the Jekyll Island Club Resort was eye-catching and became the perfect backdrop to host their destination wedding weekend. We leaned into the Italian style and incorporated a pattern on the reception bar and dance floor that was inspired by a Tuscan tile pattern.

A Parisian Wedding Weekend of Gilded Grandeur and Seine-Side Celebrations

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]

Our wedding color palette featured a romantic and elegant mix of gold, white, silver, and soft shades of pink and green. We wanted the overall aesthetic to feel timeless but fresh, with colors that would complement the Parisian setting and spring season.

[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

One of the things we always said during the planning process was that we wanted our wedding to feel like a full celebration spread over a few days. Choosing Paris as our location helped make that vision a reality. We kicked off the weekend with a welcome party on a boat along the Seine River, which gave guests the chance to see the city’s most iconic landmarks and watch the Eiffel Tower light up at night. It was the perfect way to begin the weekend. Our wedding venue, Hôtel Le Marois, is the epitome of Parisian elegance. The rooms feature ornate gilded moldings, painted ceilings, marble fireplaces, and sparkling chandeliers. The tall windows open onto terrace gardens and allow natural light to pour in. The space felt historic and timeless, and the grand staircase added the perfect dramatic touch to both the ceremony and photos. It felt special from the moment we walked in and was the perfect backdrop for everything we envisioned.

[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]

Tyler and I both attended Gettysburg College, though our time there only overlapped briefly. He was a year ahead of me, and we each spent time studying abroad. I was in Rome and Paris for a year, and he was in Florence for a semester. We may have crossed paths, but we didn’t actually meet until August 2017, when we connected through a dating app. In May 2019, we traveled to Paris and I mentioned that getting married there would be a dream. Tyler responded, “I would do that with you.” Fast forward to May 2024, and we ended up doing exactly that, celebrating our wedding in Paris with family and friends. Tyler proposed the day before we were set to leave for a trip to Portugal in April 2023. After work, we took our pug for a walk through Central Park, something we often do since we live on the Upper West Side. During the walk, he proposed and completely caught me off guard. He told me we had dinner plans afterward, and when we arrived, I found both of our immediate families waiting to celebrate. It was incredibly thoughtful of Tyler to organize everything in secret and make sure both of our families were part of such a special moment.

I wore a gown by Enaura that I found at Kleinfeld Bridal in New York City. After trying on over 50 dresses across several appointments, I knew this was the one. It had the perfect blend of elegance, detail, and timeless romance that I was looking for. As soon as I put it on, I felt like a bride. We held our afterparty at L’Arc Nightclub, which brought such an energetic and unforgettable vibe to the end of the night. For my afterparty look, I wore a white open-back jumpsuit by Nadine Merabi. It was the perfect choice for dancing all night and celebrating with our closest friends and family.

[/field]
[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]

The dress code for our wedding was black tie, which helped set the tone for a formal and elegant evening. When it came to the bridesmaids’ dresses, I always knew I wanted them to choose their own gowns, in whatever style made them feel the most confident and comfortable. I shared a color palette and moodboard with a vision of floor-length satin dresses in gold and champagne tones. They delivered beautifully. I loved how everything came together in the end. It looked cohesive while still reflecting each bridesmaid’s individual style.

[/field]
[field title=”Groomsman Attire”]

Tyler wore a custom white tuxedo jacket with classic black tuxedo pants from Enzo Custom, creating a look that felt both timeless and modern. The groomsmen wore all-black tuxedos, which provided the perfect contrast and made the overall look feel cohesive yet elevated.

[field title=”Food & Drink”]

During cocktail hour, guests enjoyed passed hors d’oeuvres and our three signature drinks: Hers, His, and Leo’s, named after our pug. Mine was a Dirty Martini, Tyler’s was an Old Fashioned, and Leo’s was a Gimlet. Cocktail hour took place in the terrace gardens before guests moved inside for the remainder of the evening. Afterward, guests were invited upstairs to the salons. One was set up as the bar lounge, another as the dance floor, and the third for dinner. The layout allowed the night to flow naturally from one space to the next, while still feeling intimate and lively.

[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

We kept the florals simple and romantic, focusing on white garden roses, peonies, carnations, and delphiniums, with light pink roses and peonies for a soft touch of color. It was important to us that the design felt timeless and didn’t compete with the ornate beauty of the venue. Candles were placed throughout to add warmth and create an inviting, elegant atmosphere.

[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]

We chose not to do a traditional cake cutting and instead served each guest a plated dessert after dinner. It felt more in line with the flow of the evening and allowed everyone to enjoy something sweet without interrupting the celebration.

[/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]

The ceremony was our favorite part of the wedding. We exchanged personal vows, my dad officiated, and our bridesmaids and groomsmen stood with us on the grand staircase. From there, we could look out at all of our closest family and friends. The lighting during the ceremony was beautiful, with natural light shining in through the windows. It felt personal and incredibly special.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]

We chose to do our first look in the streets of Paris before the ceremony. It was important to us to share a quiet moment ahead of the day. We took photos near the venue and on Pont Alexandre III, one of the city’s most iconic bridges. The backdrop of the Seine, ornate lampposts, and classic Parisian architecture made it feel incredibly special and cinematic. On our way to the venue, we even stopped for an espresso at a café nearby. I was in my wedding dress and Tyler in his tux, and we happened to run into a few guests on their way to the ceremony. It was spontaneous, completely Parisian, and a little memory we’ll never forget.

A Classically Romantic Tuscan Wedding Adorned With Crystal and Candlelight at Tenuta Corbinaia

It was a sophisticated and elegant wedding, made precious by dazzling crystal decor and gleaming gold mirrored bars. Bride’s words: “I wanted the wedding theme to be very classy, romantic, and elegant. The wedding venue itself is so beautiful, so I knew that I didn’t need to add much aside from flowers, candles, and table decor because I wanted to embrace the natural beauty of the venue and the landscape of Tuscany itself. “

[field title=”Proposal Story”]

Andrea told: “Nathaniel Rose planned a trip to Spain with the intent to propose during this trip, but disguised it as a normal vacation. I always tend to plan the trips so as not to raise any suspicion. He had me plan the trip like usual, but he made sure that on the second-to-last day, we went on a catamaran sunset sail and reserved a rooftop dinner afterwards overlooking Barcelona on a mountainside. Nate was holding onto the ring the entire trip in his satchel, and I had no idea. I should have suspected something since he never let his satchel leave his side- even when taking photos. He was waiting until the perfect moment to propose and ended up proposing to me while we were sailing on a 25-foot catamaran in the Balearic Sea in Barcelona at sunset. I had no idea that he was planning on proposing, so I was in disbelief. Despite my shock, the proposal could not have been more perfect. Afterwards, we went to dinner and he told me about his plan going into the trip, and we debriefed about everything, including how he was so terrified about losing the ring and dropping it on the boat.”

Andrea, the bride, had always envisioned wearing a princess-style A-line dress since she was little, so she knew well in advance what the style would be. Her wedding dress shopping journey began in New York City. She specified that she wanted a white, strapless, corset A-line dress with embellishments. Surprisingly, the very first dress she tried on ended up being her actual wedding dress. At the time, she liked the dress but didn’t entirely love it, so she kept trying on more dresses and then left for her next appointment in New Jersey. There, it felt like she tried on a million dresses until she finally found one she fell in love with. Only later, when looking through photos, did she realize it was the same dress she had first tried on earlier that day at the NYC boutique. Knowing that her wedding dress was the very first one she tried on felt special, almost like it was meant to be, as her husband was also her very first boyfriend. To make the dress even more “her,” Andrea decided to customize it with more embellishments on the train and a slit on the right side to make it sexier and more personal. In the end, Andrea loved her dress and the alterations she made, feeling like it was made just for her and no one else.

Andrea was incredibly impressed with Valerio Ricevimenti’s catering. The cocktail hour featured an open bar, ensuring guests could freely enjoy drinks and an elegant spread of Italian hors d’oeuvres, including classic cheeses, cured meats, and bruschette. The couple’s signature drinks were the Aperol Spritz and Andrea’s favorite, the Hugo Spritz, which became a surprise hit with many guests. For the main meal, the focus was on authentic Italian cuisine, designed to be unforgettable. Guests savored tortelli with ricotta and spinach in béchamel sauce with datterini tomatoes, and paccheri with traditional beef ragout. The main course was a superb beef filet in Chianti wine sauce, accompanied by roasted potatoes and spinach. Andrea especially appreciated the attentive service, with servers offering extra portions, making sure everyone felt well-cared for. A special touch was the outdoor cigar, chocolate, and whiskey area, a delightful surprise for her husband and his friends.

[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

The wedding ceremony was adorned with massive floral arrangements, exclusively in total white. Throughout the celebration, numerous elements featured elegant gold accents. These included the seating chart (tableau), the refined table settings (mise en place), the dazzling chandeliers, and striking mirrored gold counters. Even the stationery was meticulously designed; the menus, for instance, showcased the couple’s custom logo and were elegantly encased in a green band, sealed with gold wax.

[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]Regarding the wedding cake, the couple desired a design that was both elegant and natural, without being overly elaborate. They opted for a classic white tiered cake adorned with cascading flowers from the top. To enhance the ambiance for the cake-cutting, they arranged for sparklers to be in the background and embellished the cake table with flowers, making it exceptionally picturesque. They also really enjoyed the champagne tower, finding it a fun activity for them to do together. In fact, one of their favorite memories involves the champagne tower. The bride’s mother’s uncle, who is quite short, was the first guest to grab a glass of champagne. When he did, he took one from the bottom, and the tower completely collapsed! All anyone could hear was a loud crash as the glass broke. Everyone looked over at the bride’s mother’s uncle, and he started dancing, and everyone else began laughing and cheering. [/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]

Since the groom’s father is a pastor, the couple knew immediately that they wanted him to officiate the ceremony. They felt that having the groom’s father marry them made it feel more personal and very special, and they wouldn’t have wanted it any other way.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]From the bride: Some favorite moments included walking down the aisle with my father by my side, the groom seeing me walk down the aisle for the first time in my wedding dress, sitting with my husband at the reception table with our loved ones and taking everything in, cutting the cake with the sparklers in the background, popping the champagne bottles, pouring the champagne on the glass tower and my mother’s uncle dancing when it broke making it a very funny end of the night.[/field]

A Grand, Gold-Accented Celebration of Sculptural White Florals at The Fisher Center for Performing Arts

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]White, ivory, champagne and gold[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

“The overall aesthetic for Taylor and Mason’s wedding was elevated sophistication. We leaned into the beauty of the venue—with its grand architecture, sparkling marble floors, and serene blue walls accented with gold—and designed every detail to enhance that luxurious backdrop. To complement the space, we used an abundance of white florals in varying textures, layered with gold-accented tabletop and custom décor pieces. Everything was tied together with a custom, opulent crest we commissioned from You’re Invited featuring Taylor and Mason’s duo-gram and a sweet illustration of their fur baby, Bennie, who made a brief appearance for family photos. The crest was debossed into their invitations and menu cards and woven into subtle design accents throughout the wedding, adding a personal touch most thoughtfully.” – Sara Fried, owner, Fête Nashville Luxury Weddings

He asked me to show a house to some ‘clients’—but when I arrived at the rooftop, it wasn’t clients waiting for me, it was Mason… and a photographer! Taylor wore a structurally fitted corseted mermaid wedding gown with sheer cutouts and embroidered French lace and veil designed by Galia Lahav. “I was drawn to how timeless and elegant it felt. Late-night snacks were passed on silver platters around the dance floor, including espresso martinis shots topped with warm chocolate chunk cookies, truffle butter mini grilled cheeses, and beef sliders.

“The focal point of the reception was the custom-built head table we designed in partnership with Curated Events. We had it perfectly constructed to nestle between the grand columns at the center of the room, creating a stunning architectural moment. The U-shaped table featured designs from Cori Cook Florals with a lush floral runner of white blooms with soft touches of green, interwoven with glowing white taper candles and scattered votives for a warm, romantic glow. The florals spilled dramatically off both ends of the table, pooling onto the marble floor most luxuriously. It was breathtaking from every angle.” – Sara Fried, owner, Fête Nashville Luxury Weddings

A stunning 5-tiered cake covered in sugar flowers and white buttercream icing made by Dessert Designs in Nashville was the centerpiece of the evening. Flavors of traditional white wedding cake and almond amaretto with caramel filling were served to each guest.

“My grand-dad, Jerry Sexton, will be marrying us. It means a lot to me, and he has been a preacher for 25 years. I just made sense to have him do it. “ – Mason “I am walking down the aisle to “Canon in D” by Johann Pachelbel. That song has been my choice since day one. I liked that traditional feel; most brides walk down the aisle to it. “ – Taylor

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]

“One of my favorite moments of the entire weekend was the first dance. After Taylor and Mason were introduced at the reception, Taylor’s dad surprised everyone by introducing one of their favorite bands, ‘Restless Road’, for a private performance. They sang their hit ‘Growing Old with You’ for Taylor and Mason’s first dance, and then followed it with an unreleased song, ‘And Then Some,’ for the father-daughter dance. It was emotional, personal, and one of those unforgettable moments that made the night truly magical.” – Sara, planner

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]

“From the very beginning, Taylor dreamed of incorporating ballerinas into the wedding reception. Once we selected The Fisher Center at Belmont University—with its grand balconies and dramatic architecture—the vision came together beautifully. I had a portrait in mind: Taylor and Mason standing in the center of the dance floor, with ballerinas dancing gracefully behind them, captured at golden hour as sunlight streamed through the towering cathedral windows, scattering tiny rainbows across the marble floor. It was the photo I could see in my head months in advance, and it took a true village of dedicated creative perfectionists to bring that moment to life. Every detail had to be precisely timed and choreographed — thank goodness I have the best team of planners in the world. Michelle Beller captured it even better than I had imagined.” – Sara Fried, owner, Fête Nashville Luxury Weddings

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]“For the last dance, Taylor and Mason wanted to go out on a high—having flown in the Jordan Kahn Orchestra for the occasion, they were determined to stay on the dance floor as long as possible, so we planned an epic ending. As the band began playing Taylor Swift’s ‘Love Story,’ the floor was packed, and my team had prepped the band to cue everyone into a loose horseshoe shape around the couple. That way, Michelle Beller could capture the perfect full-length shot. And because nothing is ever left to
chance, we even scheduled a site visit with Renowned Event Designs just to walk through the angles and placement of the confetti canons to ensure the perfect experience and photo. Right at 1 minute and 57 seconds—during the lyric ‘Romeo, take me somewhere we can be alone…’—the canons exploded, and the entire room went wild. Guests swarmed the couple, singing their hearts out. It was pure magic. Must-have photo #2: mission accomplished.” ~ Sara

“Ballerinas. That was my one non-negotiable. That and my florals. Those were two things I
envisioned from the early stages, and I was not going to waiver very far from. “ – Taylor, bride[/field]

Old-World Italian Romance Brought Stateside in a Lake Como Inspired Wedding Weekend

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]White, neutral, soft pinks, greens[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

Our wedding was inspired by the vintage elegance and dreamy romance of Lake Como—we wanted to transport our guests to Italy without leaving the U.S., and we found the perfect venue to make that vision a reality. The weekend began with a festive welcome night pasta/pizza party, followed by a magical wedding day filled with lace details, antique candelabras, and the most breathtaking florals. A special thank you to Nandi, whose incredible artistry, stunning floral design, and exceptional service brought our vision to life—none of it would have been possible without her.

[field title=”Proposal Story”]

Adam proposed to Charlotte on a sunny summer day in August 2023 at Plage de l’Escalet, their favorite hidden beach in the South of France. After a carefree swim and a barefoot walk on the rocks, he got down on one knee as the waves touched their feet. The spontaneous moment, surrounded by turquoise water and laughter, perfectly reflected their fun-loving spirit and their love for the simple joys in life.

Guests enjoyed an authentic Puglian culinary experience with fresh local seafood, handmade panzerotti and mozzarella served live, and a vibrant antipasti spread. The open bar featured crisp Italian wines and prosecco on ice, creating a laid-back yet refined atmosphere that encouraged mingling and celebration.

[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]The floral design combined wild garden blooms in shades of blush, fuchsia, and citrus with pops of greenery, displayed in glass bud vases and vintage-style vessels. The tablescapes were decorated with fresh fruit and candles, perfectly matching the romantic countryside vibe. Twinkle lights above the dinner tent added a magical glow as the night fell.[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]

Instead of a traditional tiered cake, Charlotte and Adam chose a fresh berry tart “millefoglie” that felt local and seasonal, decorated with vibrant summer fruits, the perfect sweet ending to a relaxed, joyful celebration.

[/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]

Charlotte and Adam included a special quaich ceremony, sharing a traditional Scottish loving cup as a symbol of their unity and friendship, guided by their celebrant and supported by their witnesses. The moment became even more heartfelt when all the guests joined in singing “Here Comes the Sun” and “Take Me Home, Country Roads” together, filling the courtyard with warmth, joy, and a beautiful sense of togetherness.
