This Bold Red French Château Wedding Will Capture Your Hearts With Feelings of Amour!

Mary & Virgile’s exquisite Château de Champlâtreux wedding has us feeling nothing but amour! The grande venue and its acres of lush greenland, located just an hour from Paris, created an enchanting backdrop, which was embellished by the aesthetic eye of Anne Laure Weddings. Uses of deep burgundy and jewel tone accents popped against muted blush and cream hues – a perfect balance of bold and beautiful, seen in everything from the stunning tablescape to Floraison Paris’ blooms. Every moment of their indoor reception looked like a scene straight out of a Regency-era romance. See why French château weddings never fail to capture our hearts in the full gallery, captured by Elias Kordelakos!

From the bride & Groom… Virgile and Mary met on the fencing team at the University of Notre Dame, where they were both students at the same time for only one year. Mary graduated but Virgile remained at school for the next two years. Upon Virgile’s graduation, the couple moved to NYC. However, Virgile did not receive his visa to remain in the states and thus had to move back to France (his home country). In the summer of 2018, he moved to Paris along with Mary. Although not knowing a single word of French, Mary left her life in the US behind and booked a one-way ticket to be with Virgile. Shortly after arriving in Paris, Mary and Virgile got engaged on a bateau mouche. The ring was Virgile’s late grandmother’s, a beautiful sapphire sourced directly from Ceylon. They decided to have a legal ceremony in May 2019 in Paris, at the 4th arrondissement town hall (where the couple lived at the time – in “le Marais” district of Paris). In France, the civil and religious ceremony are always separate. The couple decided to make the civil ceremony small and intimate, with only Virgile’s family (parents, brother and sister) and Mary’s parents in attendance. They decided that their friends and larger families would be invited to their religious celebration to be held sometime in the fall of 2020.

Mary and Virgile found Anne-Laure of Anne Laure Weddings to help them create their magical French fairytale wedding. Mary had always dreamed of getting married in a French chateau, which is why they travelled the country to find the perfect venue. The couple decided on Château de Champlâtreux both for its beauty and its proximity to Paris – only 45 minutes by car. Paris would be the host city for the 3-day celebration. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic the wedding that was originally scheduled for September 2020 was postponed to May 2021 and then shortly thereafter to December 2021. The couple had finalized every detail to have the Christmas fairytale wedding of their dreams, when less than 3 weeks before their wedding they had to postpone again due to the Omicron surge. Incredibly disappointed, the couple rescheduled and chose May 6, a date very close to their 3-year legal wedding anniversary (May 18th). Luckily, this 4th date ended up being the final! The details of the wedding changed drastically from September to December to May, as they were totally different seasons. However, the vendors and Anne-Laure did an amazing job making each design perfect, and ultimately May 6th ended up being the most perfect and magical day. The inspiration for the décor was largely driven from the venue itself – romantic, refined, and elegant. The church in town where the couple got married was filled with candles and flowers (done by the amazingly talented Floraison). The tablescape was straight out of a Bridgeton ball, with the candelabras, flowers, and place settings creating a beautiful and intimate environment. Mary and Virgile really loved the old car that they used to drive to and from the castle and church.

Making the 80 guests in attendance all feel included and incredibly special was the most important thing to Mary and Virgile, who were so appreciate of everyone who finally was able to attend their wedding after almost 4 years of planning it. This began by creating welcome bags filled with Mary and Virgile’s favorite things from Paris – like Puyricard chocolate, champagne, saucisson, etc. The welcome night celebration was held at one of Mary and Virgile’s favorite cocktail bars in Paris (the entire place was privatized for the whole evening). The wedding was truly a blend of French and American culture. As Mary’s family is American and does not speak French, the couple asked their close friend to translate Mary’s father and maid of honor’s (her sister) speeches. Virgile’s brother and father were able to do their speeches in both languages. We also made sure that translations were available throughout the wedding planning process – from the invitations to the wedding programs.

While the day itself was a complete dream (and one the couple will never forget!) their favorite moment of the weekend was the day after at the brunch. The couple had privatized a pétanque-bar (an official French pastime and game that is local to Virgile’s home in Provence). All the guests – both the French and American – were completely mixed, with some even making plans to meet up at later dates. The true blending of their families was what was most important to Virgile and Mary, and this would not have happened had the weekend not been as magical and perfectly planned as it was. Mary and Virgile are so appreciate of Anne-Laure and all their vendors who made this happen!

Gorgeous Garden Wedding Dripping In Greenery

Garden party lovers will love this sweet celebration done in pink and green.  Alex Austin Events & Design planned a day that dazzles, complete with a vintage beverage cart, twinkle lights, and three wedding cakes! Floral design by Elizabeth Earnest Florals was the exclamation point on the day, and Jillian Knight captured every magical moment in elegant imagery that is sure to stand the test of time.  Visit the full gallery for all the dreamy details.

From Alex Austin Events & DesignSamantha and Nick’s love story began in an unusual place. A place where they dressed in workout clothes, our hair untidy and body drenched in sweat – CrossFit. Nick remembers Samantha always arriving at the gym with a huge smile and simply beaming like a ray of sunshine, sometimes cheering Nick on while he would struggle to finish the session. After their workout, they would sometimes have a brief encounter before both would shuffle out the door. These moments would generally consist of her saying “hello,” asking how each other’s day was and chats about the workout, but that was really it. Fast-forward a few weeks… where they were out at a restaurant in downtown Raleigh with some friends watching the 2019 Super Bowl, when Nick said he saw that same beautiful girl out with her friends. It was one of those fateful moments where they looked at each other at the same time, made eye contact and, again, Nick said he saw that beautiful smile I had seen so many times at the gym. Samantha was quick to walk over to Nick’s table and they began chatting. That evening, time flew by. They talked about life, careers, future aspirations, religious beliefs, and much more. As the night concluded, we left the bar knowing that we had found our soul mate. Samantha is originally from Pinehurst and knew she always wanted to get married in her hometown. The Country Club of North Carolina just felt the quintessential Pinehurst destination, and the perfect spot for their wedding. The wedding was southern hospitality at its finest! We bring you the ultimate pink and green garden party in the Pines! For the ceremony we transformed an open field into an intimate and spiritual setting where this couple said “I Do”. Then off to the cocktail style reception where there were specialty cocktails (named after the couples beloved dogs) served from a vintage beverage cart, a live action artist, band, 3 cakes and all the food you could eat. The clear top tent overlooking the clubs lake was adorned with twinkle light, lanterns and dripping in greenery; it was truly spectacular. The luxe farm tables, metallic linens, velvet lounges and dusty pink and cream flowers; was the garden party the bride and groom had always wanted!

From the couple… To be honest, Samantha and I truly believe everything about that day was incredible, intimate and super special. However, if we had to choose one part; we both agree the wedding ceremony was our favorite part of the wedding day. We cannot begin to explain the lasting impact that this 25-30 minutes had on our lives. After Samantha and I walked down the aisle, we looked into the crowd and we immediately could sense the love and joy in the air. We were at this perfect ceremony, surrounded by all our friends, family and loved ones, it was a time where all the people we love were in one place celebrating the beginning of our marriage. Alex and team truly went all out, she listened to our ideas and visions, ran with it, and created something truly astonishing. The attention to detail was impeccable and it was personalized to us a couple which will be something we will always remember! We could not imagine a better day.

Advice we would give to future couples during the wedding process. Our advice to future newlyweds would be to enjoy each and every moment of it! Time truly does fly, don’t take it for granted. The entire process from start to finish is a great time, from choosing a venue to selecting your dress – enjoy the process and take it all in. Another thing that is important is to not be afraid of adding personal touches to your wedding. That day needs to be special and is a representation of each of you and your relationship as a whole. You will cherish it.

Airy Summer Estate Wedding In The New York Countryside

Come inside this secret garden summer wedding.  Inspired by the natural beauty of The Mansion at Knox FarmEVL Events planned and designed a day that stuns.  Blooms by Beck & Forth have us swooning, from the ceremony in an open field designed with florals that seemed as if they were growing straight from the ground to the tented reception which continued the enchanted garden theme. Each artful image captured by Nicole Gatto Photography is more beautiful than the last, visit the full gallery to see them all.

Gina and Greg’s wedding reminds us all to be open to each experience as it finds you. The two met for the first time while working for a country club in New York. They remember feeling sparks from the very beginning. A few months later, they had their first date, and they’ve been laughing together ever since. Greg planned an elaborate scavenger hunt proposal around Buffalo.

The entire day was filled with stops at meaningful locations around the city, like where they shared their first kiss. The final stop, at one of their favorite hiking trails, ended in a picnic, a proposal, and a celebration with their closest family. Inspired by summertime and the natural beauty of The Mansion at Knox Farm, this wedding offered a romantic and welcoming space for their guests. The circular altar of white and green florals was set in front of a field grown wild with grasses and gentle forests.

Filled with a bounty of blooms, the gorgeous marquee-style white tent set a crisp and summery backdrop for the reception. Indoors, the mansion was decked in more florals, cascading down the staircase. For dessert, the couple pulled out all the stops for their guests with a table filled with chic and tasty treats.

Hosting a holiday dinner party is no small feat, so we’re here to help! We’ve rounded up some super simple DIY decor ideas for your holiday tablescape. And they’re all so cute, your guests will be raving about them until your next holiday party.

PHOTO | The Pink Dream

1 | Festive Garland Runner

How gorg and modern is this festive garland runner? It’s the perfect way to add a little color to your table and give it all of those holiday feels. All you need is some eucalyptus garland and an assortment of colorful ornaments that coordinate with the rest of your holiday decor. Then, voila, you’re done and you look like a regular Martha Stewart!

2 | Christmas Town Upcycle

Now it may seem like this one would take a while, but it’s surprisingly simple. And the best part, it’s sustainable too! Go to your local thrift store and you’ll no doubt find a plethora of mix-and-match holiday houses from holidays gone by. Get enough to make your own little Christmas village, then all you need is some Rust-O-Leum chalked spray paint. It works on ceramic and glass and there’s no sanding prep needed! Just spray and they’ll be dry before you’re ready to take the last batch of cookies out of the oven. Glitter is optional, of course, but always encouraged.

3 | Sweet Centerpieces

Okay, so these are just about the cutest most picture-perfect gingerbread houses we’ve ever seen. And no, we don’t expect you to be able to recreate this masterpiece in the wee hours the night before your big dinner party. Thankfully, there are a ton of pre-packaged gingerbread house options out there (even at your local craft store), so pick up a couple and don’t be afraid to color outside the lines when it comes to decorating. Get pre-made icing, sprinkles, and other fun goodies that fit with your holiday color palette and go to (gingerbread)town.

4 | Ornament Place Cards

Is it just us or do place cards make everything seem so fancy? They’re the perfect way to dress up a house party! Add a holiday spin by using an ornament instead of your average paper place card. You can get really crafty and use your newfound calligraphy skills to write out your guests’ names in a metallic paint pen directly on the ornaments, or you can write their name out on a ribbon and fasten it to the top of the ornament.

5 | Up Your Napkin Game

Sure, you could just fold the napkins and place them under the silverware like you do every night, but where’s the fun in that? Get your DIY on and turn the napkin into a festive shape like this adorable bow! If you don’t know where to start, here’s an easy-to-follow tutorial video.

We hope these fun ideas gave you a little inspiration and a lot of holiday spirit–cheers from everyone at SMP!

A Summer Romance Wedding at Magnolia Hill Farm

Love soft color palettes, hints of gold, and cute dogs? Buckle up, this wedding at Magnolia Hill Farm has it all and then some! Aisle + Co planned the decidedly dreamy day and made it into a celebration for the senses.  Of course, utterly romantic florals by Passiflora Designs never hurt.  We can’t help but adore every image expertly snapped by Hayley Moore Photography.  We know you’ll love each and every one as much as we do inside the full gallery.

From Hayley Moore PhotographyThis wedding is full of all the summer romance! Laura wore a romantic ball gown from Luxe Redux Bridal paired with a classic pointed heel but switching into the cutest sparkly platform sneakers for her reception to dance the night away in. Also featured in this wedding blog is a reception space full of intention and love, the most romantic florals from Passiflora Designs, and a gorgeous sunset portrait time in a grassy field. What I loved about this day is how it was surrounded by so much beauty in the smallest things; through the venue and its blank slate, the wedding colors and flowers, and all of the smiles and laughs.

Laura and Bill are surrounded with people who are full of so much fun and care. Their sunny wedding day started at the beautiful Magnolia Hill Farm in Ohio! The bridal suite was full of so much positive energy, I just knew it was going to be such a good one. Laura and her girls making tiktoks, the beauty team having the best conversations with every bridesmaid, seeing all of the floral designs coming in, I couldn’t help but become so excited for this day. An emotional first touch, short and sweet ceremony, lots of dancing, and a sparkler exit… this wedding was one to remember.

One of my favorite parts of the reception was Laura and her fathers first dance. It started off like your common first dances but in the middle, they switched up the song and started dancing to Ice Ice Baby. I couldn’t help but notice how strong of a relationship Laura and her father have, it was so beautiful to witness all of their sweet interactions.

Get in the Holiday Spirit With This Christmas-Inspired Affair at Rosewood Miramar Beach!

Caroline & Matt’s wedding at Rosewood Miramar Beach is sure to get you into the spirit of the season! Amorology made the adoring couple’s wedding wishes come true the weekend before Christmas, transporting guests to a wonderland of love, complete with sweet mistletoe arrangements by Native Poppy! In a festive palette of red, blush, and white combined with silvery blues and dreamy sage hues, the merry affair paid homage to the magic of the season with sensational elements – like the charming advent calendar cabinet escort display, in which each guest received their very own snow globe! The full gallery by Brandon Kidd is a gift that will fill you with tidings of love and joy.

From Amorology… When you get married the weekend before Christmas, you can’t help but want to bring in all the joy of the holiday season as you gather with those you love most. For our sweet Caroline + Matt, who wanted a warm, inviting, and intimate day we couldn’t imagine anything more lovely than lush florals in shades of cranberry, rosy red, shell pink, bone, and evergreen with touches of dusty blue where their past would kiss the present under touches of mistletoe in a ceremony beside the sea. As guests entered the ceremony they were met with soft music by the string trio and were invited to take their seats on cane back upholstered chairs where a garden like aisle appeared to be growing from the ground and natural woven baskets with petals were placed on the ends of the chairs for tossing in celebration! The arch was the focal piece and held abundant blooms in varying shades of pinks, berry tones and winter whites.

Following their touching ceremony, guests made their way to the cocktail hour at the beautiful Rosewood Miramar Beach resort and were greeted by an oversized advent cabinet calendar that read “counting down the days with you” that we created to give a nod to the season and their family tradition of opening advent calendars each year. Upon the shelves guests found their names on custom-created snow globes filled with snow and mini christmas trees with table numbers. Guests were favored further with ornaments that they pulled from opening drawers below with numbers corresponding to the guest’s table assignments.

Honoring traditions old and new, a bucket list was provided and guests were encouraged to share their own holiday traditions that Caroline & Matt could incorporate into their new home together. Friends and family sipped on specialty cocktails coined The Lappe Hour (to honor Caroline’s last name) , The Maritime (a nod to Matt’s time in the Navy) and The Holiday (named after Caroline’s favorite movie) that were served up behind a green board & batten bar with mini wreaths hanging in each window. As a fun kismet moment, Cameron Diaz (the star from The Holiday) was seen wandering the grounds the day of their wedding during set up and just made it all seem meant to be!

As the sun set, guests were welcomed into the reception where shell-colored fabric draped the walls and abundance of florals and candlelight were found sprawling across ribbed wood tables paired with cadet blue velvet linens and lace overlays set with silver sage china. To play along to the advent calendar wall, table numbers were large-scale snowglobe cloches filled with bottlebrush trees and snow. Guest names were hand calligraphed onto blue silk ribbon that draped across the plates, inviting guests to sit and gather. Perhaps the most prominent piece in the room though was the beautiful floral patterned dance floor that we had custom created to replicate the envelope liner from their invitations created by Grey + Cake!

A thoughtfully crafted hanging floral installation filled the ceiling above from Native Poppy with dripping sprays of mistletoe throughout, inviting guests out on the dance floor to give their loved ones a Christmas Kiss. As everyone took to the dance floor to dance the night away they paused for pink champagne cake adorned with rosy red florals and mini desserts that were nestled between evergreen trees placed in front of a fluted backdrop with a custom neon sign with the couple’s new last name ” The Van-Eerdens” . This backdrop later doubled as a fun photobooth for all in attendance as the couple headed off in the most darling pink and white get away car, named appropriately “the jolly”!

This Tuscany Destination Wedding Perfectly Mixes Modern Styling With Traditional Elements

Travel to Tuscany for a classic wedding that will have you dreaming of a destination celebration in Italy.  Wonderlust Events planned a day that combined modern details with traditional elements.  Soft, romantic flowers in rattan pottery, by Lettre à Elise Events, lined tables for a stylish touch, while the local favorite Millefoglie cake was served at dessert.  You’ll love every incredible image beautifully captured by Anna Gianfrate Photography, see them all inside the full gallery.

Kelly and Ben’s destination wedding took place in Cortona in Tuscany, Italy at Villa Montanare. A private Tuscan home on a hill, where our couple hosted 80 of their closest friends and family. The color scheme of this wedding was greens, whites, and soft yellows. The ceremony took place at the back of the villa overlooking the beautiful rolling countryside with amazing picturesque views of the Tuscan hills. The arch of the ceremony was mainly made out of olive branches, with touches of white.

It was important to Kelly and Ben that the Italian atmosphere was carried throughout the day, so following the ceremony an Italian string trio played nostalgic Italian music. The caterers served food stands of different Italian foods, presented in wicker baskets, and a traditional gelato cart served gelato during this time to keep guests cool in the 30-degree heat.

The guests dined along 2 long tables dressed with neutral linen tablecloths. Beautiful soft flowers were presented in terracotta pottery and each place setting had a rattan charger, with a linen napkin and minimalist nude and white-toned stationery. As the sky got darker the olive trees lit up with beautiful fairy lights to bring all the romance. Kelly & Ben had a cake moment where they made a traditional Italian Millefoglie cake in front of guests and this was followed by their first dance under a canopy of lights, where their DJ played the night away.

Chic Coastal Elopement Editorial With Organic Elements Along The Pacific Coast

If you love touches of organic elements mixed with the most stunning scenery, then this coastal elopement editorial planned and designed by Radiant Love Events is meant for you.  Views of the Pacific Coast were matched in beauty by free-flowing floral design by Wild and Behold Floralsand all artfully captured in timeless photography by Alicia Rinka Photography.  Each detail is better than the last inside the full gallery, be sure to see it all.

From Radiant Love EventsThis cliffside editorial in Rancho Palos Verdes, California is stylish, and elegant with touches of organic elements to match the views of the Pacific Coast. We were striving for a chic aesthetic infused with organic elements, and touches of modern details. Azalea, owner of Wild and Behold Florals brought the original idea of wildflower elegance while incorporating natural elements from her own garden. To help execute bringing her idea to fruition, Azalea partnered with Rachelle, owner of Radiant Love Events to thoroughly plan every detail.

A radiant, flawless bridal beauty look by Jean Kim, thoughtful details in stationery by Paper Mint Press are just a sampling of the talent included in this gallery. The wedding dress attire was essential to this editorial. We partnered with NWLA bridal boutique to acquire two looks for our bride. One focus was a stunning Lihi Hod dress with romantic long sleeves and pearls with a modern slit detail. The second dress we wanted to provide inspiration for the perfect ready-to-party moment and this short sequin dress by Naeem Khan was that and much more. Much of the emphasis of this editorial was developed from all the flower details. We wanted to stick with a neutral color palette that incorporated shades of grays, muted purples, and pops of white from the cosmo flowers.

The true and natural elements of dark purple kale and baby purple tomatoes were grown from Azalea’s garden which created an organic feel to the tablescape and ceremony flowers. The floral floor arrangements created a ring of flowers that represented harmony and love. We wanted the flowers to match the scenery of being by the Pacific Coast. Cosmos and Hellebore flowers represent balance, tranquility, peace, and love which are all words we as a group were striving to achieve for this editorial. They fit perfectly into the theme of getting married by the cliffside with a calming view all around. To tie in with the ambiance, Radiant Love Events worked with Sweet Lake Bakery to design a wedding cake with textural elements inspired by being surrounded by the water with waves and movement flowing into the cake design.

This Timeless Kestrel Park Wedding Paid Homage to the Bride’s Culture With Shades of Blue

Samantha and Brendan’s idyllic Kestrel Park wedding paid homage to the bride’s culture in the most beautiful way. Inspired by delicate chinoiserie patterns and the venue’s natural beauty, TOAST Santa Barbara planned a timeless affair, interwoven with personal touches and beautiful blue hues. We’re head over heels for the dainty details featured on the couple’s wedding stationery by Julie King Studio, not to mention their adorable butterfly escort cards. Take a peek at this oh-so-pretty day and all of its sentimental surprises at the full gallery, captured by one of our faves – Jen Huang Photography!

From TOAST Santa Barbara… Inspired by her Chinese culture, Samantha and Brendan’s wedding design was inspired by beautiful chinoiserie patterns. From her invitations, to her bridesmaids dresses, to her wedding china, we used shades of blue and various patterns to create an elegant and timeless wedding design. We also pulled inspiration from the natural beauty of their wedding venue, Kestrel Park. Escort cards were shaped like butterflies, floral design incorporated local citrus and blueberry foliage and the linens were covered in embroidered vines much like the property.

What did you envision your wedding being prior to planning?

From the bride… There have always been a few “details” that I hoped would materialize (I think millennials call this #manifesting) with our wedding. Since I was young, I knew I wanted to have a garden wedding, that I’d hold a bouquet of lily of the valley while my father walked me down the aisle, and I’d have a cathedral-length veil. My favorite childhood film was Alice in Wonderland and I always fantasized about throwing a fabulous adult garden party. There is something about the wonder of a bountiful garden that brings such joy and when we decided to host our ceremony and reception at Kestrel Park, it felt like all signs pointed to the garden party of our dreams.

What was your color palette and your style vision?

Kestrel Park has a 19th-century English country house with an exquisite country garden on the property. In keeping with the English country garden theme, our color palette was a lot of ivory, light and dusty shades of blue, and pops of green. Kestrel Park is naturally stunning and my amazing planner Tamara and I (oops, almost forgot Brendan :) ) wanted to compliment the existing landscaping by weaving in shades of green that matched the sycamore allee we walked down, the shades of blues from the delphiniums in the garden, and the bright ivory of my dress. It was important to me that I picked a planner that knew Kestrel Park inside and out, and Tamara nailed it in making sure that our color palette and design choices blended seamlessly with the flowers in bloom during late June. Stylistically, I wanted to make sure that we were creating a cohesive experience for guests beginning with the Save the Dates (that we had to send out twice due to our Covid postponement) and ending with the Haviland Ritz china pattern we used for our plates. For ambiance, Kestrel Park provided such natural splendor with the butterflies in the lavender bushes to the shade of the peach tree grove that we simply had to bring in a string quartet to set the tone for our garden fête.

What unique elements or DIY details did you include?

It truly takes a village to throw a wedding and we can’t thank our extremely talented friends and family enough. Brendan’s parents threw us the most special rehearsal dinner that included our Chinese tea ceremony with our closest friends and family the night before our wedding. I was lucky enough to wear the cheongsam (tea ceremony dress) that my mom wore to her tea ceremony and I hope to be able to pass on this beautiful heirloom one day as well as continue the tradition of the Tea Ceremony.

Our venue was a (beautiful) blank slate when it came to rentals, which allowed us to have a completely personalized wedding. Julie King designed our entire wedding suite and she took such a thoughtful approach to weave in our wedding florals, the natural flora and fauna from the garden, and personalized details like Chinese ginger jars and the double happiness symbol. It was important to me to pay homage to my Hong Kong heritage throughout the design process and it was so fun to see these elements woven in. You can never go wrong with a nod to chinoiserie!

We’re always thinking about our next glass of wine, so one of our favorite details was our wedding wine label. We always knew we wanted to serve Brendan’s family wine at our reception and enlisted our talented friend Lauren to design the labels. She is an amazing designer and we ended up with a fun label picturing two kestrels (we love a theme) representative of us!

What was your favorite moment? Your favorite crafted detail?

My favorite moment was being walked down the aisle by my dad. I’m pretty sure that’s the equivalent of the dad Super Bowl.

A close second to this was spending the entire day with Brendan. We took an extremely untraditional approach to our wedding day starting with breakfast burritos with the wedding party, getting glammed with my bridesmaids while the guys popped in and out of our suite, and shuttling to the venue together. I wouldn’t have it any other way. He’s my best friend.

My favorite crafted detail was the personalized dinner menus that Julie created for our reception. When Tamara suggested we work with Julie on our suite, I knew I had to have her create our menu and all the day-of goods. Her food illustrations are so beautiful and fun, and we had them personalized for each guest to also double as name cards.

Cake: by Monique Chan (@therealchezmomo)
For our cake, we asked my childhood friend Monique to create something chic and delicious. Monique was Chef de Partie at The French Laundry and other Michelin-starred restaurants so we knew to give her full control over what she wanted to create and she did not disappoint. I’m not sure we’ll ever taste such a delicious confection ever again. Fun fact: Monique’s siblings were my parent’s ringbearers and flower girl!

What is one piece of advice that you could give brides-to-be?

1. Make a to-do and packing list!

As I was unpacking in Santa Ynez, I realized I forgot my second look (the most beautiful mini Carolina Herrera number) in San Francisco and had to quickly readjust my limited wardrobe. I ended up wearing my cheongsam (tea ceremony dress) to our rehearsal dinner/welcome party and shifted to wear my Marchesa welcome party dress as my second look at the wedding. Somewhere in between this chaos, I also realized I forgot to get that dress altered. Let’s just say I’m more of a big-picture person and a chronic under-packer. Thankfully, it was nothing my mom couldn’t quickly fix. Looking back, these moments bring the biggest smile to my face and I love that I have such a funny story to tell. Now I’m just waiting for someone to invite me to an extremely chic white party. Anyone!?

2. Hire a Tamara

Brendan and I joke that Tamara is the reason we got married. We met/began our wedding planning process in 2019 and while we knew we wanted a longer engagement because of Brendan’s business school schedule, we didn’t expect to have our wedding date pushed out further from Covid. Between the stress of planning a wedding in California while living in Massachusetts and Covid-related changes, we truly wouldn’t have been able to manage and throw an event without her expertise and guidance. As a couple, we made the conscious decision to focus on wrapping up business school, moving across the country, and hitting career milestones. It was such an obvious decision for us to hire a planner that just got it. I knew from the beginning I needed someone to help narrow down my choices while somehow reading my mind. I’ll never forget when Tamara asked me what flowers I wanted and I replied “white with leaves on it”. To this day, I couldn’t name half of the flowers we used but I know it’s exactly what I wanted. When you find the right planner (and friend), it just clicks!

This Pastel Pink French Riviera Wedding Is Overflowing With Glitz And Glam

The French Riviera is known for chic style and glamour, and Tessa and Jason’s wedding was the perfect celebration of love and the illusive location. Filled with luxurious details, like a champagne wall escort card display, Nomad Republic planned and designed a day that delights. Floral design by Wayne Riley Flowers filled every inch of the celebration with romance, and it was all beautifully captured in elegant imagery by Amelia Soegijono Photography. Be sure to fawn over every fabulous detail in the full gallery.

From Amelia Soegijono PhotographyTwo gentle souls from lands apart, united as one, with a shared journey to take on the world. An Australian doctor & cosmetic physician and Canadian helicopter engineer fall in love at first sight after meeting for the first time at a local wine bar in Perth. Accompanied by French champagne, and two utterly beautiful life stories, they gazed into one another’s futures only to discover that they may soon find themselves destined for a lifetime together as soulmates. Taking to the skies for a flight above the exquisite turquoise waters and sandy coastline of Western Australia, they later found themselves landing on the banks of the Swan River for a toast to their forever when she said ‘yes’! With a love of traveling and seeking adventures, having the French Riviera as the backdrop for their love story was an effortless choice. With Nomad Republic by their side, they were empowered to dream of a fairy tale wedding. Together with their team of trusted and talented vendors, Stephanie and Tom helped them bring their vision to life, providing a stress-free experience for this epic celebration of love for Tessa and Jason. Wishing to reflect her fashion-forward style, but yet embracing the classic and timeless look of a romantic bride, Tessa looked like a goddess in her OGLIA-LORO Couture wedding gown. She held an oversized cascading asymmetrical arrangement of white, ivory, and blush roses with different foliage as her bouquet. Little details such as petite helicopters as Jason’s cufflinks and cute recovery kits as guest favors gave subtle nods to their stories as a helicopter engineer and a doctor.

With her proud dad by her side, Tessa walked down the aisle with small delicate blush spray roses in cascading foliage garlands adorning the pews. It was a grand, yet sweet entrance that was heartfelt and moving. To add to the serenity and grandeur of Eglise du Sacre Coeur in Beaulieu-sur-Mer, Wayne Riley Flowers added abundant roses sitting on each side of the balustrades to establish a soft and lush garden feel as a focal point of the church ceremony. An organist, a vocalist, and a violin player serenaded the guests during the most special parts of the ceremony. Tessa & Jason’s wedding on the French Riviera was an enchanting chic, elegant classic affair with abundant candlelight. To resonate with Villa Ephrussi De Rothschild’s fairy tale pastel tones, the couple chose a soft color palette of white, ivory, and blush, adorned with green and grey foliage with a touch of timeless gold. Guests were welcomed into the Florentine Gardens of the Villa to the sweet sounds of a harp and a violin. The live music continued during cocktail hour, evoking an ethereal and unforgettable ambiance. Wayne Riley Flowers mixed gold mercury timbales and crystal tea lights with soft and loose arrangements to create a decor that mirrors the fairy tale architecture of the venue. Tall gold candlesticks created variations in height upon the tables, amongst a dreamy medley of hydrangeas, peonies, roses, and foliage. The dinner reception area was lit with oversized glittering chandeliers that framed the central alley of the upper part of the Villa’s French Gardens. Another focal point was the champagne wall escort cards, assembled by DX Event Rentals and adorned by Wayne Riley Flowers  with sweet-smelling blooms. Felicitations Wedding & Event Stationary, the couple’s graphic designer, embellished round acrylic place cards that sat on the edge of gold-rimmed champagne flutes with a gold mirror finish. Helen Traiteur, their caterer, crafted an unforgettable culinary experience with a chocolate sphere as a finale that was utterly gorgeous to the eye, the palate, and the senses.

Their wedding cake, designed by Made In Cake, also incorporated a gold accent and touches of roses with delicate jasmine, ruscus, and olive leaves. With sparkling lights as a backdrop, Tessa and Jason cut the cake and welcomed their happily ever after. From the bar decorated with lush, bucolic florals and foliage arrangements to the fountain candle installation, no details were left out, every decor element created a gorgeous and magical atmosphere at dusk time. To document their beautiful story and epic wedding design, the couple had chosen Amelia Soegijono Photography, a luxury fine art and film wedding photographer. With a perfectly matched personality and heart to the couple, the documentation of the wedding was precious and beautiful. Together with Matteo Castelluccia Videomaker, their talented videographer, they gathered the precious memories of the day and created heirloom keepsakes for Tessa and Jason. Since the moment the two of them met, nothing was too hard or too far out of reach. With their generous, kind, and wanderlust hearts, it was effortless to have brought this dream to life and welcome their new chapter as husband and wife.

A Classic Wedding Filled With Timeless Details You’ll Still Love 20 Years From Now

Some things never go out of style, and that’s the case for this classic Texas wedding. Held at Bella Cavalli Events, a modern venue nestled on 130 acres of beautiful scenery, Callie and Sam tied the knot in style. The Marine and his bride chose a crisp green and white color palette that filled the day with modern romance, all artfully captured in elegant imagery by Kensey Nall Photography.  You’ll love every detail inside the full gallery.

From Kensey Nall PhotographyCallie and Nate met at Texas Tech University before they both moved onto separate states. Between working full time as a hydrogeologist and seeing her fiance, Nate, when she could, she planned this wedding almost entirely by herself from a different state! Nate, an officer in the Marines, was stationed in Virginia at the time. To make this all the more exciting, Callie and Nate had a day-of coordinator that actually let us know that she wouldn’t be able to make it just thirty minutes before she was scheduled to arrive.

With the help of Bella Cavalli‘s staff, we were able to pull it off without a hitch! The simplistic elegance of this summer wedding made the couple the focal point of the day. With a first look and private vows before the ceremony, Callie and Nate were able to focus on their love for each other while looking absolutely stunning. The reception was full of energy and excitement, complete with a Marine Corps song by the groom and his comrades. There was even an impromptu money dance!

To end a perfect day, Callie and Nate did a tortilla send off. Yep, tortillas. At Texas Tech University, there’s a long-standing tradition that involves throwing tortillas onto the football field after a game is won. So, as an ode to their old stomping grounds and place they first met, a tortilla send off was a perfect way to end the night. And even better, the resident Great Pyreneese dogs got to eat all of them up off the ground!

Poetic Provence Was the Perfect Destination for This International Love Story!

Anna and Rasmus’ love story is truly an international one – from their first meeting in London to a dreamy proposal in Greece and a fairytale wedding in the South of France. The happy couple’s nuptials at Château de Sannes celebrated their beloved memories and the adventures that lie ahead. Lace and Lavande created an elegant ambiance that perfectly complemented the poetic Provençal setting. You don’t want to miss L’Art qui Pousse’s stunning circular floral arch or the beautifully modern twist on the couple’s cake! See all the precious details in the full gallery, captured by Thomas Audiffren

From Anna & Rasmus… Anna and Rasmus met in London in the spring of 2018, soon after they became a couple and made many beautiful memories ever since travelling and exploring the world together.

Rasmus proposed during the sensational sunset at a Greek island in August 2021. They are quite the planners so exactly one month later after spending a long weekend in the South of France they fell in love with Provence.

The place is full of beautiful little villages, rich wines, lavender fields blooming in June, Châteaux with unique character and history scattered all around the region.

They have seen a few and fell in love with Château de Sannes with its tall cypresses and romantic ambience.

A Hindu-Persian Fusion Wedding With Beautiful Bursts Of Color

This vibrant Hindu-Persian fusion wedding is sure to put a smile on your face.  Done in a bold and vibrant color palette, Nouvelle Weddings planned and designed an incredible day that beautifully celebrates love.  Fabulous floral installations designed by Victoria Clausen Floral Events pop up at every turn, and the joy and happiness of the day radiate through the imagery shot by Winnie Dora Photography.  Each detail is better than the last in the full gallery.

From Nouvelle Weddings… Richa and Nima met in Baltimore, MD in 2017 through a mutual friend while in residency training. Ironically, they met just months before Richa was slated to move to Nashville, TN to start fellowship, and so they dated long distance for 4 years before Richa moved back to the DMV area to re-join Nima. They share a love for travel, food, exercise, nature, memes, music and horror movies. In their free time, they greatly enjoy the company of their family and friends. The most important part of wedding planning for Richa and Nima was ensuring they incorporated cultural elements of Richa’s Indian (Rajasthani) and Nima’s Persian heritages. From the beginning, this committed them to a wedding with multiple events over several days. They wanted a venue that would be able to accommodate all these events and afford guests the ability to easily access their rooms to relax or change between events and ceremonies. At the same time, they wanted to make sure the weekend was light and fun, with at least one outdoor component, and that guests didn’t feel like they were being shuffled around the interior of a hotel like at a professional conference. Four Seasons Hotel Baltimore, located right off the water of the Inner Harbor, was perfect in that regard. The Sangeet on Friday evening was situated in the Four Seasons Cobalt Room which has large beautiful windows overlooking the harbor with an adjacent lounge for women and men to get henna done throughout the event.

On Saturday morning, the couple took advantage of the hotel’s waterfront promenade for Nima’s Baraat and grand entrance. The groom, along with friends and family arrived to the venue via water taxi, kicking off a morning of dancing and celebrating with a short cruise around the harbor before depositing the groom and his party back indoors for the Hindu ceremony, which took place under a beautiful royal-themed mandap, the sacred structure for Hindu wedding rituals. Exquisitely decorated with lush, berry colored florals, the mandap was spacious enough to allow Richa and Nima to walk side by side around a central fire for each of their wedding pheras, or vows. After the Hindu ceremony and lunch, the couple used the beautiful backdrop of the hotel’s outdoor splash terrace for the Persian wedding ceremony. The Persian ceremony decor embraced a contrasting palette of soft mono-chromatism to showcase the beautiful sofreh elements, a spread of beautiful decorative items and delicacies, each of which has its own particular symbolism in marriage. A beautifully letterpressed program provided guests with details about the history and customs behind the Persian wedding ceremony. Nima’s favorite part of the wedding was catching up with friends and family across various events. Meanwhile, Richa’s was seeing her family and friends put on choreographed dances at the Sangeet, catching up with everyone at the cocktail hour and afterparty, dancing her heart out on the dance floor, and watching all guests have the time of their lives at every event.

From the bride and groom… A multi-event wedding is both wonderful and overwhelming. Save the honeymoon for a separate time from the wedding when you are well-rested and use the week after the wedding to decompress. Don’t stress the details! While that was easy for us to say (as we had a stellar wedding planning team and vendors who did all the stressing for us) guests won’t remember minor or even major things that don’t go as planned! Remember that a very cultural, multi-event wedding is less about the bride and groom and more about family! Embrace this, have a blast seeing all the family and friends who have gathered to celebrate you, and take a minute periodically during the weekend to step back and admire everyone and everything around you. It’s very easy to forget between the chaos of going from one thing to the next—that you’re experiencing something truly awesome with all the people you love.

East Coast Hamptons Wedding Vibes Meets Pacific Northwest Garden Inspiration

This chic wedding brings Hamptons-style inspiration to the Pacific Northwest.  The couple’s Big Day vision was artfully brought to life with event and floral design by Rose Andrew Events. A palette of blush and white added to the romance, mixed with fun details like a champagne tower!  The happiness and joy of the day shine in elegantly captured imagery by Jacqueline Benét Photography.  You’ll love every magical moment inside the full gallery.

For this wedding inspiration shoot, we wanted to go all out to showcase a classic East Coast Hamptons wedding vibe at a new venue in the Pacific Northwest, Fox Hollow Farm.

We were inspired by the classic white manor home of the property and the hydrangea galore to marry the coastal grandma aesthetic, with a preppy East Coast Hamptons feel.

Our bride’s classic bow-back dress had a modern twist with its “bow-lero” sleeves, and she transitioned to her reception look.

Tirtha Bali Will Convince You That An All-Inclusive Destination Wedding Is The Way To Go

We’ve seen a huge shift in the wedding industry over the past two years and it’s easy to see why. With wedding planning getting even more complicated many couples are opting for smaller micro-weddings or eloping altogether. And while the weddings are getting smaller in size, couples are choosing to amp up the drama with over-the-top décor and fashion and fabulous dream destinations like Bali! We know what you’re thinking, planning a destination wedding during these crazy times sounds like a huge undertaking. Normally, you would be right, but we’ve got an insider tip that will change the way you see wedding planning. Two words–all-inclusive. Now we’re not talking drink packages and wristbands. We’re talking about Tirtha Bali, two distinct full-service venues in paradise that take care of everything from travel arrangements and guest entertainment to planning the entire wedding. All you have to do is show up!

Two Gorgeous Venues

Nestled in the cliffs of southern Bali, sit two idyllic venues. Inspired by Japanese elegance, each is an architectural fusion of nature and modernity.

Tirtha Uluwatu

The first venue to be built on the island specifically for weddings. This dreamy structure houses one of the most incredible chapels we’ve ever seen. Imagine slipping into your wedding day ensemble surrounded by your closest friends and family and then emerging from your suite into the tropical paradise that is Bali (year-round!). Petals line the aisle as you make your way to the epic triangular chapel and see the love of your life standing before you with a floor-to-ceiling view of the Indian Ocean glimmering in the background. After the ceremony, your guests can enjoy craft cocktails in the lounge before making their way to either Heaven or Earth, the two impeccably designed dining spaces available at Tirtha Uluwatu. If you’ve always dreamed of an outdoor wedding, they’ve got you covered there too with the Glass Stage space that is nothing short of magical. It gives the feeling that you’re hovering in mid-air surrounded by a tropical oasis.

Glass House by Tirtha

If you’re going for that fairy-tale feel, look no further than Glass House by Tirtha. It’s exactly what it sounds like, every inch of this incredible venue is made of glass, giving you and your guests a 360 view of the natural surroundings! It’s like being immersed in nature will all of the modern comforts of indoor living–win, win! There are three guest bedrooms on site so you and your fiancé(e) can spend the night there and wake up slow, sip a mimosa by the pool and take full advantage of this tropical destination. For the ceremony, at Glass House by Tirtha, the Moonlight Garden is the way to go! It’s an intimate outdoor space that guests enter through a whimsical white door and it serves all the secret garden vibes that you’ve only ever seen in your dreams! Depending on the weather, guests can enjoy a post-ceremony cocktail at either the garden or lobby bar. For the reception, there are two outdoor options but we say the indoor all-glass Plumeria Room is where it’s at for that serious WOW factor!

Let Them Do The Planning

To call Tirtha Bali a venue would be the understatement of a lifetime, it’s a wedding institution–they handle everything! Simply book your wedding date, explain your deepest hopes and dreams, and let them bring them to life for you. Their planners will also help you with rooms and accommodations for your guests so all you need to do is get off the plane and let your chauffeur whisk you away to your luxury resort. In addition to their expert wedding planners, they have a dedicated concierge that is there to help you and your guests with anything you may need or want during your stay on the island. From restaurant reservations to exciting excursions, you name it, they’ve got it taken care of! The Concierge Service is included in Bespoke Getaway Package and can be added onto any other wedding package for an additional fee (well worth it, if you ask us!).

Pick Your Package

Every wedding and the needs of every couple can vary, that’s why Tirtha Bali offers 7 different wedding packages from intimate elopements to elaborate setups for up to 150 guests. Each package is a complete wedding perfectly designed for the space and every detail is thought out from the floral arrangements to the menu and can be customized to fit your vision. For modern destination weddings, we recommend their Intimate Affairs Package which covers anywhere from just the two of you up to 25 people (the perfect size for a micro-wedding). Couples can choose from 4 décor themes which take all of the guesswork and endless hours on Pinterest off of your wedding planning to-do list! This package also includes a photographer and cinematographer for the day of and your choice of French or Japanese cuisine for your reception.

Check out the Real Weddings section on their website to see how other real-life couples have used these incredible spaces!

A Neutral Summer Wedding and Welcome Party at Edgewood Tahoe

From the welcome party complete with rattan lanterns and checkered linen to the romantic tented reception overflowing with lush greenery – every event from this weekend’s Tahoe affair was curated to perfection. The bride and groom enlisted the help of the talented team at Jenn Robirds Events to pull off their dream lakeside nuptials – dressed in a neutral palette and organic blooms by Golden Fields Floristry. Don’t miss out on every last detail at the full gallery, all captured by The Ganeys!

From The Ganeys… This entire weekend celebration for the sweetest couple felt too good to be true. Laura and Johan were incredible patient, waiting an entire year from their original wedding date, to make sure that their guests could be there to celebrate alongside them. Lake Tahoe is a meaningful area, as Laura grew up going to Tahoe with her family. The celebration kicked off on Friday night, as guests were welcomed to the wedding weekend at Edgewood Tahoe with a relaxed, yet elegant welcome dinner. Guests found their seat on an escort display cut from wood, in the shape of Lake Tahoe. Large structures covered in greenery housed long family-style tables. The brown and white checkered tablecloths gave the evening an approachable, charming, down-to-earth feel. The sun set behind the mountains, painting the sky with shades of pink and yellow.

On the wedding day, Laura and Johan both got ready on property at Edgewood. The bride wore a stunning Mira Zwillinger gown with a delicate floral bodice that showed off her petite frame. The groom wore a classic black tux. One of my favorite moments of the day was watching them melt into each other after the first look.

The color palette for the wedding mirrored a Tahoe sunset. The bridesmaids wore dresses in a beautiful coral shade. The florals were filled with a warm neutral palette – shades of gold and amber.

The ceremony took place by Edgewood Tahoe’s 17th green. Tucked into the pines, the location still provides a beautiful view of the lake and the adjacent mountains. A close friend officiated the wedding and the couple exchanged their own personal vows as everyone wiped away tears. After the ceremony, guests mingled lakeside during cocktail hour – sipping on Swedish gimlet’s – a nod to the groom’s heritage. The wedding reception took place under a stunning sailcloth tent dripping with greenery. Three circular chandeliers provided a modern feel. Lush florals and neutral design elements were the perfect balance for this wedding to feel elegant and warm.

The evening progressed with more than a dozen toasts. While this may seem unusual to most, it is very common in Sweden – where the groom is from. They crowned two toastmasters who introduced the speakers throughout the night. Every toast was special and heartwarming – producing the biggest belly laughs, or recalling tender memories. It was a wedding tradition that I’m glad we were all able to experience.

A Heavenly White Rose Explosion in the Pacific Northwest

Thousands of white roses from Seattle Floral Design, tons of DIY details, and an epic helicopter getaway you won’t soon forget – these are just a few things you can expect to fall in love with from today’s Pacific Northwest nuptials planned by Simply By Tamara Nicole. Trust us, you’re going to want to spend a little extra time pinning every last detail in the full gallery – all captured by Blue Rose Photography!

Julia & Sassa had a beautiful classic wedding filled with so many white roses !! Julia is an artist herself and she made her own crest, designed her programs, and also created the seating chart all using her own illustrations and designs. Her dress by Galia Lahav was out of this world and seemed to be made for her. Their cake by the Celebrity cake studio was like a work of art as well. With frosting that mimicked an oil painting set against a smokey blue background. At the end of the night they had a helicopter getaway ! That was a first for us and we hope not the last :)

From the Planner… Julia had such a special vision for her wedding, embracing the beauty of the Pacific Northwest, while maintaining the souther elegance of her Texas roots. As an artist, Julia wanted to have lots of texture throughout several different elements to really make things pop. From her dress, to her linens, to the cake and floral design, strategically placed textural elements were key to putting an artsy twist on her classic aesthetic. As an artist, Julia’s DIY components were top notch! She used her talents as a watercolor artist to create a wedding monogram that was incorporated throughout the details on her menus, programs, cocktail napkins etc. The couple also collaborated to make a gorgeous display wall for their seating chart that was a true statement piece at cocktail hour. The couple paid a special nod to the groom’s love of aviation with a helicopter sendoff, which was truly a highlight for guests and an unforgettable way to wrap up such an incredible day!

Proposal/personal Story:
From the Bride… I (Julia) am a Texas native and moved up to the Seattle area in 2021 so we could start our lives together after 3.5 years of long distance. The first weekend after we got engaged was the Seattle Wedding Show, and I went alone to start the planning process. It was overwhelming to say the least, but I found the venue of our dreams – The Golf Club at Newcastle. Since I am from Texas and Saša is a native Pacific Northwesterner, the venue was the perfect blend of the beautiful scenery the PNW has to offer with the classic southern feel of a beautiful ballroom reception. It represented parts of both of us and was the perfect place to start our lives together.

Inspiration/Vision/Color Palette/Etc.
My vision for our wedding was something timeless, romantic, and whimsical. Everything from the individually hung flowers dripping from the chandeliers, the classic checkerboard dance floor, to the touches of blue in the tablescapes and macaron favors, made us feel like we were living in a dream. I loved how light and airy the room felt from our choice of linens, classic warm uplighting, and small accents of gold and light blues sprinkled throughout. I knew I wanted flowers absolutely everywhere, and our florist, Lana, executed that vision to perfection. Our whole wedding was cohesive by the use of texture and depth in our design details. I love texture, as you can see from the layers of flowers and tulle in my dress, our sweetheart and cake table linens, the flowers cascading from the lights, and even the cake with buttercream flowers. The cake was the most delicious cake I have ever had in my life – two tiers of marble eclair cake with Bavarian cream. I had a vision of buttercream palette knife flowers dripping down from the top of the cake to the bottom tier. The design was so painterly – it felt like such a unique touch and a nod to my favorite hobby.

Unique/Special Details/Traditions:
My husband, Saša, worked for an airline (as did most of his family) and he has always loved aviation. Because of this, we thought it would be so amazing to exit our wedding in a helicopter – and it was! We got to fly around the city before landing. It was the perfect exit and perfect time to reflect on the most perfect night.

Another touch – Sasa is not a big fan of cake, so we had slices of apple pie served as well as cake just for him.

DIY Touches:
I had so much fun creating DIY details – it made the wedding that much more special knowing how much Sasa and I worked on ourselves. I am a watercolor artist, so I knew I wanted to create our wedding monogram – something that we would have forever. I designed the monogram and created the menus and the programs for the ceremony (I hole-punched and tied so many ribbons that my fingers were numb). We also used the monogram on cocktail napkins, in the welcome bags we made for guests that were full of Seattle goodies, and as stickers on the boxes of macaronwedding favors.

I made each guest’s place card by printing them on cardstock paper and putting a corresponding wax seal per menu choice on each name card.

I used gold framed mirrors for our welcome signs and our bar signs by writing with chalk paint. The easiest DIY there is!

I knew I wanted a focal point for the cocktail hour, and I love when people create beautiful escort display walls. Since we had wax seals on our invitations and I used them as the meal indicators, I thought it would tie in nicely to have guests’ names displayed in a way that looked classic and romantic. I found wallpaper I loved and Sasa and I went to work creating the wall. Sasa owns a 3D printer, so we got to print the words for the wall – he was even able to print my handwriting of “the best seat in the house.” I hand wrote every guest’s names on shiny gold cardstock, and created each seal before attaching them in alphabetical order. Both of us put a lot of thought and time into the wall design, and we absolutely loved the way it turned out! It was so special having something that we both worked on.

We also made our own photobooth floral wall – Sasa built the wood structure and metal pole, and we hung drapes and flowers I found online as a beautiful background.

DIYing is such a great way to add meaningful personalized touches to the day, not to mention you can customize exactly how you want it all to look!

Favorite Moments of the Day:
Favorite moments of the day include our first dance (even though I stepped on Sasa’s toes and got so nervous we had to end up swaying back and forth instead of dancing the waltz we learned)

Another favorite moment was walking into the ceremony for the first time and seeing each other at the ends of the aisle. Seeing the gorgeous flowers lining the aisle and dripping down from the chandeliers was also breathtaking – I hadn’t seen them until the moment I walked down the aisle. Walking under the flowers and meeting Sasa at the end of the aisle felt surreal, like we were in a movie.

Sasa’s favorite part was when he saw me walk down the aisle, and him being able to look out and see all the people who mean the most to us in this world.

Favorite detail: Hands-down, my favorite details at the wedding were the flowers hanging from the chandeliers.

Advice for Future Brides:
This is so cliche, but enjoy every second of the day. If I could have made the whole day longer I would have. Now that the day is over, we have the most gorgeous photos and videos to look back on and remember it by, so definitely make sure you find a photographer and a videographer that you love! (And a wedding planner like Jenna, wooo!)

Dress:
Fabiana by Galia Lahav
I absolutely loved my dress. It was the last one I tried on, and as soon as I put it on I had no doubts in my mind that it was the one. I didn’t realize it, but on my wedding pinterest board, I had pinned the exact dress about 10 times already – so I’m sure I subconsciously already had my mind made up. I love the flowers and layers. The dress has so much dimension and sparkle. I felt like royalty!

Both wedding gowns by Julita London are timeless and super elegant.

The first dress Nicole wore, the Seraphin gown, has a poetic simplicity, delicately finished with pin hems and narrow french seams. It embodies femininity and fluid movement, draped by hand in harmony with the natural flow of the natural silken weave. The second dress, called Vega, is a shimmering two-tone gold and ecru sequin gown. Perfectly sculpting Nicole’s silhouette whilst sitting off the shoulder, draping gracefully into an elongated train.
