A Vibrant Late Summer Garden Wedding at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]yellow, pink, peach, blush, coral, orange[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

This Brooklyn Botanic Garden wedding was a vibrant celebration of nature’s beauty, infused with the charm of a garden party. Bursting with bright florals from Blue Jasmine Floral, the design embraced the lush surroundings, creating an atmosphere that was both romantic and joyfully exuberant. Guests were immersed in a whimsical yet elegant setting, where blooming arrangements, natural textures, and soft, playful details came together seamlessly. The vision was to capture the magic of a late-summer garden in full bloom—lush, colorful, and effortlessly enchanting.

[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]The proposal was a blend of intimacy and celebration, reflecting the couple’s relationship. It began with a morning walk along the West Side Highway, a favorite spot where they often spend time together, soaking in the city’s energy and waterfront views. As the sun rose over the Hudson, Connor got down on one knee and proposed. The surprise didn’t end there—waiting atop a rooftop in NYC was a gathering of their closest friends and family, ready to celebrate their engagement. [/field]

The wedding menu was a carefully curated experience, blending elegance with seasonal flavors. The cocktail hour featured a selection of light appetizers, complemented by a standout seafood bar offering the freshest tuna crudo, shrimp, and other delicacies from the sea. For dinner, guests were treated to a choice of four thoughtfully crafted entrées—perfectly seared sea bass, tender chicken, flavorful tenderloin, or a classic, indulgent cacio e pepe. To complete the meal, the wedding cake was a beautifully decorated vanilla layered confection, adorned with delicate floral accents that tied seamlessly into the garden party theme.

[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]Blue Jasmine Floral brought the wedding’s vibrant garden party vision to life with breathtaking arrangements that seamlessly blended into the lush surroundings of the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. A rich palette of yellow, peach, pink, coral, and orange created a whimsical, romantic atmosphere, with blooms including roses, ranunculus, dahlias, cosmos, and more. Every floral element was thoughtfully designed to complement the venue’s natural beauty, enhancing the greenery rather than competing with it. The result was an effortlessly organic and immersive floral experience, making the ceremony and reception feel like a dreamlike extension of the garden itself[/field]

A Refined Garden Party Wedding With Modern Details at Hillcrest Country Club

[section title=”The Planning”]

[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

Sam and Dan’s modern garden party wedding aesthetic was equally chic, on-trend, and oh-so-stunning.

[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]

What I expected to be a simple two-week trip home between jobs turned into the most unforgettable surprise. I thought Dan was across the country for work—he doesn’t live in L.A.—so when I set out for what I believed was just a casual tea outing with a friend at the Beverly Hills Hotel, I had no idea what was coming. As I turned the corner and saw him waiting for me, everything stopped. Overwhelmed with joy, I can hardly remember what he said—only that I was shaking with excitement. We celebrated with brunch at the Polo Lounge, followed by a surprise visit from both of our parents and my sister. The surprises didn’t stop there—we ended the day with an incredible engagement party at A.O.C. in West Hollywood, surrounded by our closest family and friends. It was a day filled with love, joy, and memories we’ll cherish forever.

Wedding Invitations + Calligraphy: Define Your Stationery Style

We know you know… Your wedding invitation sets the stage for your wedding. It’s the first glimpse your guests will hold in their hot little hands. Give them something to drool over! But the options are endless. Save yourself some wedding planning stress ~ seek the help of an expert. They will guide you through the entire process: Save-The-Dates, Thank You Notes, the Full Invitation Suite… paper and printing style choices, edge options, flat card vs folded, fonts, calligraphy style, ink color, envelope color… You get the picture. So today, we have a bit of advice from a pro: Michaela McBride Calligraphy.

Be Honest With Yourself
Your special day should be an honest reflection of who you are as a couple. Your stationery should be no different. Just as you would with any other member of your wedding team (photographer, florist etc) find a stationer/designer whose style aligns with yours – someone you trust and who will help bring your vision to life.

Define Your Stationery Style
Your wedding invitation provides insight into the type of day your wedding will be. It’s the first tangible item your loved ones will hold in their hands. Make it something special. Find a stationer who can help you select the best suited papers, materials, colors, calligraphy, typeface, etc. Just as you have decided on the kind of wedding you will have, you will also be in charge of setting the tone/mood of your stationery style. Formal or relaxed? Soft and organic, understated and neutral, moody and romantic? You call the shots… but your stationer/designer will make it all so much easier and so much more cohesive.

Don’t Forget About Wedding Day Details
It’s pretty easy to tick invitations off your ‘to-do’ list and then set the paper goods aside so that you can focus on all the other details of the day. We know… there’s a lot to think about! But then… just weeks before the wedding, you’ll be coming back to the day-of paper goods in a scramble. We encourage you to really consider thinking about it all with those very first invitation decisions. Syncing your day-of paper along with your initial invitation design process will save you so much stress later on down the road, when time starts getting tight.

Last, But Not Least…
On your wedding day, make sure you have a copy of all your stationery and paper goods on hand so your photographer can capture each and every one of these precious details…

… the details that were so much a part of your journey from engaged… to married!

An Elevated Garden Party Brought Indoors in South Louisiana

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]

We used Ice Blue and Shades of White with touches of peach throughout the wedding.

[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

Elevated Garden party: The bride wanted a unique venue, but with the unpredictable weather and heat of South Louisiana, it was chosen to use a popular ballroom instead of an outdoor tent. The planner transformed the space with trees, hanging florals, and a transformed layout with lots of details to give the bride the look she desired.

[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]

On a beautiful April morning in Louisiana, Mary Catherine was under the impression that the day ahead was nothing more than a simple family gathering. She and Brennan were heading to meet what she thought were just her parents and sisters for lunch to celebrate her mom’s birthday. Her mother’s birthday lunch was the perfect excuse for a celebration, and with family Christmas card photos on the agenda, she dressed for what she thought would be just another special—but-ordinary—day wearing blue and white. Upon arriving, beneath the canopy of ancient moss-draped oaks, Brennan Dupeire led Mary Catherine through the breathtaking grounds of Rip Van Winkle Gardens as they walked to meet her family at Café Jefferson – the quaint lunch spot connected to the gardens. Rip Van Winkle Gardens wasn’t just any location; it was a place filled with meaning. Nestled near Mary Catherine’s family home, its lush botanical beauty and deep Louisiana history made it feel like home for both of them. Months earlier, Brennan had sat at that same Café Jefferson with her parents and grandmother, sharing a meal and asking for their blessing to marry the girl he knew was “the one.” Little did she know, Brennan Dupeire had been planning something far more extraordinary. As they arrived at the picturesque spot right before approaching the cafe, she walked to a beautiful spot, right under one of the famous moss trees, to see Brennan drop to one knee. With joyful tears and a huge smile, the moment felt like something magical, one written in fate, family, and the perfect Louisiana backdrop. The surprises didn’t end there. As they made their way to Café Jefferson, both of their families were waiting, ready to celebrate the newly engaged couple over a meal in the gardens that now held an even deeper place in their hearts. It was simply a perfect Louisiana morning, the moment Mary Catherine and Brennan’s chapter truly began.

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

Guests were greeted with a greenery-lined walkway complete with chandeliers before signing the custom butterflies that were made into art by Lizzie of Modern Muse for the couple’s home. Oak Trees with added Roses and florals stood on either side of the guest sign-in area. The lobby included trees and greenery walls with photos of the couple and their families as they grew up. The main entry into the room allowed a peek into the dance area where thousands of florals were suspended from the ceiling, creating a perfect setting for the couple’s first dance, where Live Butterflies from Riverbottom Butterflies were released during the first dance “Butterflies” by Max. Ice Blue Satin Linens and the custom pattern covered every table beneath stunning florals and taper candles. The stage fronts held Roses, Ranunculus, Peonies, and other white florals. The bride carried a handheld bouquet of lilies of the valley with a blessed mother medal she got from the Vatican in Rome on a family trip the summer before her wedding. Hannah and Christy worked together to personalize the bathroom with a custom print skirt for under the sink, monogrammed toiletries, and a full floral pattern vinyl wrap on the bathroom stalls. Butterfly Mirror Decals were also displayed. A beautiful floor wrap by Advent Group covered the dance floor, and the same pattern was applied to the bar panels and stage walls customized by Texture Rental Collection. Hannah sourced custom-printed Matte Satin linens in the custom pattern from the invitations. Cake and entry table linens were monogrammed with the couple’s crest by Initials. The Lounge area included monogrammed pillows with coffee table photo books of the couple’s proposal, as well as their engagement parties and each wedding party held in their honor. The bar was equipped with Monogrammed Drink Stirrers, Custom Stamped Ice Cubes, and Frosted Cups.

[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]

Crystal Weddings created a custom pattern that complemented Mary Catherine’s dress, complete with the perfect shade of blue once the couple cut into the cake.

[/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]

Vermillion Strings provided Strings for the Ceremony as well as the cocktail hour at the reception. Three Thirty Seven kept the guests on the dance floor and the couple on the stage until the very last song, including the couple’s first dance, “Butterflies”.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]

It was very important to Mary Catherine and her mother, Christy, to have personal experiences woven throughout the day. They worked with Planner and Designer, Hannah Traha, to create these special moments. Guests received their invitation boxes completely customized through Caitlin at Hark Creative, Co., which set the tone for what they were going to experience. The guest enjoyed many personalized touches throughout the night, several relating to the bride’s love of butterflies. When the guests entered the church, they were presented with a handwritten note from the bride along with a gift box holding a monogrammed handkerchief with the couple’s crest held in place with a gold butterfly pin, thanking guests for attending. Blue shelves from Distressed Rentals were lined with “Butterfly Kisses”, custom hand-dipped ranunculus flower candles, a nod to the detailing on the bride’s wedding dress, presented in a pattern gift box tied with a silk ribbon. Later in the night, gold bar carts were rolled out holding leather slippers for the guest to use for dancing, The couple gave Mardi Gras Necklaces, engraved with the couples name and wedding date and custom shirts with a caricature of the couple, saying “I survived the Dupeire Wedding” Guest were surprised when they walked out of the reception to an outdoor cafe complete with Vintage Umbrellas over round tables with wedding print tablecloths, mini white lights forming a ceiling over the beignet display where guest were served New Orleans style beignets and coffee.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]

For our anniversary, Mark took me to London as a surprise, and I didn’t know where we were staying until we pulled up at the Shangri-La in London. I thought we were going out in London for dinner, but Mark had already booked for us to dine at the hotel. We then got taken to a hotel room which was filled with red roses, pictures of us around the room, a guitarist, and a photographer. It was so romantic. He then proposed that we have an amazing meal whilst admiring the view of London at night.

In my head, I always wanted to feel like a princess on my wedding day, as I feel like it’s the one time in your life you get to wear a dress like that. It was always my dream to have a Berta dress, and as soon as I tried it on, I knew it was the one. It was the first dress I tried. I love the gorgeous embroidery on the bodice and flowy romantic look, which I think fits well with our stunning venue of Adare Manor.

Our food and drink were provided by our amazing venue, Adare Manor, whose food is extraordinary. The attention to detail is incredible, and the service on the day was unbelievable. We went with a chicken Caesar salad to start, a traditional Irish vegetable soup, chicken and beef main courses, and his and hers desserts to finish! We then had late-night food at midnight, which everyone loved.

[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

Our florals and decor by Bronagh were out of this world. Our dream came to life, and we couldn’t be happier. For our ceremony, we had a gorgeous, deconstructed arch of gypsophila and roses with more flowers down the aisle. In the main ballroom, we had incredible ceiling flowers that made the room feel complete. We had a custom-built stage with ivory draping behind. On the top table, we had a gorgeous runner of gypsophila and roses with long candles on every table for a romantic effect. Individual tables had tall centerpieces with hanging tea lights. It was all so stunning! Our table plan sign was amazing for our favourite people. It was exactly how we pictured it.

[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]

Our cake design was unbelievable to Deborah. It was a 4-tier masterpiece with a stunning bow design, and we loved it.

[/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]

For our ceremony, we wanted to keep it very simple; we had no readings, just our vows. Romy, our celebrant, was incredible and made it feel so special. Mark entered the ceremony to “I don’t want to miss a thing” by Aerosmith, bridesmaids entered to “This” by Megan McKenna. Then my dad walked down to “I get to love you” by Ruelle, and Mark picked all of our music together, and we loved this part of wedding planning! We signed the register to “Dreams” and walked back down the aisle to “This Will Be an Everlasting Love,” which I have always loved from my favourite film, The Parent Trap.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]

I was walking down the aisle and seeing each other’s reactions. We both stood there feeling like we were in a dream to have all our loved ones there supporting us!

Before our guests saw the ballroom, the event band played us “Ain’t no mountain high enough” on our own. It was a feeling we will never forget seeing your vision come to life. [section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”The Inspiration”]

In the heart of Atlanta, amidst the blooming gardens of the historic Swan House and the enchanting beauty of Olguita’s Garden, an extraordinary celebration unfolded. Aptly titled “Jardin En Bloom,” this wedding editorial transported guests to a bygone era of timeless elegance and romantic charm. The Swan House, with its neoclassical architecture and stately grandeur, served as the perfect backdrop for this unforgettable occasion. Its majestic columns and pristine white facade stood tall against a lush green landscape, creating an atmosphere that was both regal and inviting. As guests arrived, they were instantly captivated by the aura of refined sophistication that enveloped the venue. The ceremony took place in the picturesque Olguita’s Garden, a hidden gem nestled within the grounds of the Swan House. This secluded oasis, adorned with vibrant flowers and delicate foliage, provided an intimate setting for the exchange of vows. A floral pergola floating in a beautiful water feature was crafted with cascading garden roses in the most vibrant hues of pink, framing the couple as they professed their love amidst nature’s splendor. The gentle breeze carried the scent of blossoms through the air, adding a touch of whimsy to the proceedings. Following the heartfelt ceremony, guests were led back to the Swan House’s manicured boxwood gardens for a joyful reception. As they approached the grand entrance, they were greeted by a sight that left them in awe. It was as if stars had descended upon the garden, enveloping the celebration in an ethereal ambiance. Tables adorned with soft linens and delicate lace overlays awaited guests’ arrival. Golden vases adorned with lush floral arrangements acted as centerpieces, creating a harmonious fusion of nature’s bounty and opulent beauty. Each place setting was meticulously arranged with vintage-inspired china, gleaming gold-rimmed crystal glassware, and cutlery, evoking a sense of old-world charm and grace. The couple, radiating joy and love, took to the dance floor for their first dance as husband and wife. Their every move was met with applause and awe from their loved ones, who watched in admiration. The melodies of a live band filled the air, enticing guests to join in the celebration. Laughter, music, and the clinking of glasses reverberated throughout the garden, creating an atmosphere of pure joy and celebration. As the night drew to a close, guests bid farewell to a wedding affair they would never forget. With hearts full of cherished memories, they left the Swan House and Olguita’s Garden, forever touched by the timeless beauty and enchantment that had surrounded them throughout the day. “Jardin En Bloom” was a testament to the enduring allure of love, the splendor of nature, and the indelible magic that can be found in the most exquisite of settings. It was an affair that would live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of being a part of it, forever etched as a moment in time where dreams truly came alive.

A Modern White and Azure Wedding Filled With Refined Simplicity in Italy

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]

This wedding was a vision of timeless elegance, where a crisp all-white palette created an atmosphere of purity and sophistication. From lush floral arrangements to flowing fabrics, every detail embraced the ethereal beauty of white. To add depth and contrast, azure blue was delicately woven into the design, gracing the fine stationery prepared by Lewes Lettering Co. with elegant calligraphy, watercolor motifs of the Villa Regina Teodolinda, and intricate envelope liners. The accent of luxurious gold brought a touch of warmth and glamour, appearing in wax seals, foil lettering. The interplay of these hues – fresh white, serene azure, and gold – resulted in a wedding aesthetic that was both modern and timeless, effortlessly chic and utterly enchanting.

[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

The design of this wedding was inspired by the idea of creating a breathtaking, modern celebration that felt both sophisticated and intimate. The vision was to craft an environment where classic elegance meets contemporary charm. The all-white foundation provided a serene canvas, allowing each element to stand out in its own right. Azure accents introduced a soft, calming pop of color, reminiscent of clear skies and tranquil waters, while gold details added a touch of refinement and luxury. The vibe of the celebration was one of effortless grace, where every detail – whether in the stationery, floral arrangements, or decor – was carefully curated to create a harmonious balance of soft elegance and understated glamour. The space felt airy, inviting, and fresh, with a sense of serenity flowing throughout the day. The overall vision was to design a wedding that felt like a dream come to life – classic yet modern, simple yet sophisticated, where every moment reflects the couple’s love story and their desire for a celebration that was both beautiful and meaningful. The result was an unforgettable event that captured the essence of elegance, warmth, and joy.

[field title=”Proposal Story”]

A Love Story Written in Switzerland. Johanna and Dominik’s journey began in Zurich, where fate brought them together through mutual friends. What started as a simple conversation soon blossomed into something extraordinary—laughter that lingered, long walks by the lake, and whispered dreams of forever. One magical evening, as the city lights shimmered upon the water, Dominik gently took Johanna’s hands, his voice filled with emotion. “From the moment we met, I knew I never wanted to let you go. Will you marry me?” With joyful tears in her eyes, Johanna softly whispered, “Yes.” And so, in the heart of Switzerland, where their love story first unfolded, they promised each other forever, with the enchanting shores of Lake Como awaiting them as they step into their next beautiful chapter. We at SabineWedding are honored and proud to be part of their unforgettable journey.

[field title=”Food & Drink”]Sunlake Catering orchestrated a memorable wedding dinner that celebrated Italian culinary traditions with elegance and flair. The evening opened with a refined aperitivo featuring a sparkling Spritz, Franciacorta Ronco Calino, Rosé spumante, Italian beers, pomegranate juice, soft drinks, a rosemary lemonade, and both still and sparkling water.
Next, a selection of finger foods delighted the guests: a savory aubergine “Parmigiana,” toasted oregano bread with zucchini and aubergine cream, creamy avocado with smoked salmon tartare, prawn tartare with burrata and pistachios, luxurious lobster cream with olive meringue, and a Parmesan biscuit with Praga ham. This was followed by crispy fried delights including golden prawns, sage leaves, zucchini flowers, cheesy rice balls, and mini mozzarella-filled pasta parcels.
The meal continued with an Italian buffet showcasing Parma ham, assorted cold cuts, gnocco fritto, a variety of local cheeses, and a tempting array of breads, honey, fruits, and jams. Seated courses then featured a tangy seabass tartare (with a vegetarian aubergine carpaccio alternative), delicate burrata-filled ravioli, and a main course of beef fillet in truffle cream with duck foie-gras mousse—complemented by a vegetarian zucchini pie and a kids’ menu.
The dinner was paired with fine white (Chardonnay) and red (Sangiovese) wines, along with water, coffee, tea, and additional beers, and concluded on a sweet note with a classic wedding cake, a Ca’ del Bosco champagne tower, and a selection of artisan ice creams offered on a typical ApeCar.

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

The Garden of Love floral designer created breathtaking floral arrangements for this lakeside wedding, enhancing every moment with elegance and romance. For the ceremony, held in front of the lake, a stunning asymmetrical installation of white flowers and greenery provided a picturesque backdrop. A semi-circle arrangement of gypsophila, greenery, and white flowers added depth and charm, while two decorations at the aisle entrance framed the space beautifully. To complete the setting, a petal pathway of white rose petals was laid for the couple’s walk down the aisle. At the reception, guests were seated at three long tables, each adorned with gypsophila, greenery, and white floral centerpieces, placed every meter to create a natural and elegant flow. Soft candlelight complemented the floral arrangements, adding warmth to the ambiance. The bridal bouquet, a delicate round arrangement of peonies, perfectly matched the romantic theme. The wedding cake table was also thoughtfully decorated with coordinated flowers, ensuring a harmonious and refined presentation. Every floral detail, carefully curated by The Garden of Love, transformed the wedding into a dreamlike celebration of love and beauty.

[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]The wedding cake, crafted by Qualcosa di Dolce, was a stunning three-tier creation with a smooth yet delicately textured white buttercream finish. Elegant and timeless, it was adorned with fresh white peonies, strategically placed to enhance its refined aesthetic.
The cake featured a soft, light sponge interior, suggesting a classic yet sophisticated flavor profile, complemented by a creamy filling. Its minimalistic yet romantic design, with natural floral accents and scattered petals, made it a true centerpiece for the celebration.

Wedding Colors: Elise and Jasper’s wedding featured a dreamy palette of blush, pink, and warm yellow tones, accented by fresh lemons woven throughout the design. The combination of soft pastels and citrus details created a fresh, romantic, and timeless aesthetic, perfectly complementing the vineyard setting.

[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

Five years after Elise and Jasper first started dating, they stumbled upon Hammersky Vineyards with Elise’s parents and spent hours beneath the olive tree, soaking in the beauty of the place. As they left, they said, “If we ever get married, this is the place.” That serendipitous moment made their wedding day even more meaningful as they returned to exchange vows in the very spot where they once dreamed of forever. Even more special—Elise happened to be wearing white that day, as if foreshadowing the future.

The evening began with a refreshing baby spinach salad, setting the stage for a thoughtfully curated dining experience. Guests then enjoyed a choice between perfectly seared mahi mahi or flavorful mesquite flank steak, each dish complementing the vineyard’s rustic yet refined atmosphere. To pair with the meal, guests sipped on a selection of Hammersky’s finest wines, alongside a variety of local beers and ciders, celebrating the region’s rich flavors. A standout detail was their signature cocktail—the “It’s Albright” Lemon Basil Spritz, a light and refreshing drink that perfectly captured the essence of their summer vineyard wedding.[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

The floral arrangements were lush, full, and bursting with warm hues of yellow, pink, and rust, bringing a vibrant yet natural feel to the vineyard landscape. Tables were elegantly set with gold flatware, delicate white plates, and textured gold napkins, while lemons were scattered throughout to add a bright and playful touch. Dark wooden chairs provided a beautiful contrast to the light and airy tablescapes, and a limoncello escort display gave guests a sweet and personalized welcome.

The weekend kicked off with a relaxed yet unforgettable welcome party at Sea Canyon Fruit Ranch. Guests enjoyed interactive food stations featuring surf, turf, and graze options, along with a fresh oyster bar. An Elevated Forest-Inspired Wedding at Santa Lucia Preserve

[section title=”The Planning”]

[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

The ceremony’s redwood grove and the stunning backdrop of the Santa Lucia Preserve, a 20,000-acre nature preserve, provided the ultimate design inspiration. Every detail — from Lauren’s Fern Gown to the tree-themed tables to the floral arrangements resembling the forest floor — was inspired by California’s Central Coast. The couple playfully referred to their wedding decor as “upscale tree.”

The floral design by Darcy Craig at Seascape Flowers resembled the forest floor and included ferns, tree branches, mushrooms, and moss. Lauren’s bouquet also included orchids, as an homage to Eric’s grandmother, and the bridesmaids’ bouquets included California pitcher plants. The reception was held at a large event barn, whose 336-foot-tall ceiling was covered in twinkle lights and whose entrance was flanked by long curtains. Guests were greeted by a forest-inspired seating chart, which directed them to their respective tables identified by a type of tree, rather than by a number. The centerpieces on the large farm tables were clear vases filled with large tree branches and surrounded by long-stem candles. The event barn included a custom high-top whiskey bar.

[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]The three-tiered wedding cake, baked and designed by Edith Meyer, was decorated in the style of Lauren’s Fern Gown. Each tier had a different flavor–almond with raspberry buttercream, cookies-and-cream, and funfetti. Edith also created a cookie table filled with treats that also served as guest favors.[/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]

A string quartet played “Crazy Love” by Van Morrison as Lauren walked down the aisle with both of her parents. Eric and Lauren’s first dance was choreographed to “She’s a Rainbow” by the Rolling Stones. Guests danced with the newly married couple to a live band named the Lucky Devils.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]

The save-the-dates and invitation suite were custom-designed by Wouldn’t It be Lovely (WIBL) and included watercolor designs of redwood trees and the California Central Coast. Together with WIBL, the couple also created a custom “I Spy” game to play while guests travelled to the redwood grove for the ceremony.

The couple’s beloved basenji, Kona, was the flower girl and wore a velvet green harness and bow. She also inspired the event’s custom cocktails — a “Bad Basenji” and a “Salty Dog.”

A Charming Coastal Celebration at Home on Martha’s Vineyard

[section title=”The Planning”]

[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

Brooke and Craig brought their love story full circle by hosting their nuptials where it all started: Craig’s summer home in Martha’s Vineyard. Inspired by the island’s coastal vibes, they opted for an elegant New England aesthetic with romantic floral prints, natural wicker accents, and soft shades of green and blue. The couple was wed by Brooke’s uncle at a historic church nearby. After the ceremony, the party moved back to Craig’s family home, where guests mingled during a poolside cocktail hour, followed by a tented reception.

[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]Despite growing up just 15 miles apart in Massachusetts, Brooke and Craig didn’t cross paths until attending the same college in Ohio. They were both on the party planning committee of a business school club when they connected and fell for one another. For their first date, Craig took Brooke to his family’s summer home in Martha’s Vineyard. Several years later, the pair were visiting family back home in Boston when Craig popped the question to Brooke on their way to brunch. She said yes! When they arrived at the restaurant, Brooke was surprised to find both sides of their family waiting to celebrate![/field]

“Immediately following our wedding, we spent one week in Provence, France. It was the perfect balance of adventure and relaxation. We stayed primarily in Crillon Le Brave, where we enjoyed the gorgeous scenery, drank local wine, and ate far too much bread and cheese! We rented a car and visited several Provincial villages throughout the trip, which provided plenty of interesting history, fantastic food, and kind locals. We were exhausted after our wedding weekend, so it was great to have a quick and easy “mini-moon”. We are currently planning for a big two-week honeymoon trip to Southeast Asia in time to celebrate our first anniversary!”

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]

Brooke and Craig’s best wedding advice? “When it comes to design, go with your first instinct! It’s so easy to get decision fatigue, so don’t be afraid to trust your gut. Also, make sure to build in 1:1 time with your spouse; it’s amazing how quickly the day flies by. I’m so glad Craig and I were intentional about having a few minutes to ourselves to soak in the joy of the day. For example, just the two of us took photos after our ceremony on our friend’s dock in Edgartown Harbor. This allowed us to be together without the crowd while also capturing some amazing shots!”

For Maria and Kameron’s Rehearsal Dinner, their color palette was pewter, plum, and deep red. For the wedding day, their color palette was rich, colorful, and vibrant – fuchsia, pink, deep red, orange, yellow, and plum.

The Rehearsal Dinner was at First National Center, with the First National providing dinner and bartending services. The couple provided rehearsal dinner guests with Caesar salad, red wine braised short rib, potato gratin, and caramelized carrots. To satisfy the sweet tooth, their guests received custom-decorated sugar cookies (depicting their sweet golden doodle pups) and a surprise chocolate cake to celebrate Maria’s sister and brother-in-law (whose wedding anniversary happened to be the same day as the Rehearsal Dinner). For drink choices, First National offered a variety of wine and beer choices. For the wedding reception, catering and bartending were provided by Pepperoni Grill. Hors D’oeuvres were served during cocktail hour and included Spinach Artichoke Costini, Bruschetta Costini, and Bacon Wrapped Jalapenos. For dinner, the couple had a buffet filled with Caesar Salad, Pepperoni Grill’s House Made Bread, Cheese Tortellini, and Pepperoni Grill’s House Specialty Lasagna. Their drink menu consisted of 3 wine choices (Cabernet, Pinot Grigio, and White Zinfandel) and 3 beer choices (Michelob, Blue Moon, and Corona.)

A Study in Blush: Timeless Romance Meets Feminine Refinement at Seattle Tennis Club

Blush pink, ivory, cream, dusty rose, mauve, soft lilac, white & black

[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

The vision for this lakeside black-tie wedding was rooted in timeless romance with a modern, feminine touch. A soft, neutral palette of blush tones set the stage for an atmosphere that felt both elegant and inviting. Florals took center stage, appearing everywhere from the linens to the wax seals, creating a cohesive and immersive experience. Sarah envisioned a day that was not only classic and romantic but also rich in thoughtful details—every element was carefully layered to create a sense of depth and intentionality.

[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]

Proposal: Jake knows that I like “planned surprises,” so when he told me he had booked a photoshoot in Joshua Tree National Park I was fairly suspicious. We go to Palm Springs quite often, but this time we were adding in an overnight trip to explore the park. We got dressed up & trekked out to the beautiful Joshua Trees at sunset where a photographer captured some of the most beautiful photos of us. All of a sudden, I turned around and there was a beautiful setup between two of the trees. Jake led me over to it and sure enough, asked me to marry him! While not surprised it was exactly how I pictured it.

Transitioning to the reception, Sarah embraced a sleek, Hollywood-glam look in a couture silk crepe-back satin gown. Sarah envisioned a grand, romantic, and feminine celebration, rich in texture, layers, and an abundance of florals. The ceremony featured a breathtaking arbor overflowing with garden roses, complemented by a floral-lined aisle and modern acrylic ghost chairs that added a subtle contemporary touch. At cocktail hour, held under a sailcloth tent, guests were welcomed by blush velvet linens, rose-filled centerpieces in shades of pink and ivory, and soft neutral lounge seating. A poet crafted custom verses for guests, adding a unique, personal detail to the experience. The reception, set in an elegant ballroom, took on a slightly moodier, more romantic tone with heavy candlelight. The candles, which were various sizes in a beautiful shade of mauve, complemented the lush floral arrangements. Tables were adorned with blush floral-printed linens from Stradley Davidson, rose gold flatware, and crystal glassware, while centerpieces of garden roses in soft pink and ivory hues carried the floral theme throughout. The stationery was letterpressed on soft ivory deckled-edge paper, featuring a custom monogram wax seal. Personalized touches extended to the reception tables, where clear acrylic name cards with delicate blush silk ribbon ties added a modern yet romantic detail. The wedding cake, a true showstopper, was decorated with hand-painted sugar flowers that seamlessly transitioned into fresh blooms cascading down the table. Every element reflected Sarah’s vision of classic romance, elevated with touches of modern glam and layered, thoughtful details.

Why Style Me Pretty Is the Vendor Directory Photographers Trust

Style Me Pretty is more than a blog. It’s a high-performing lead generation platform that connects photographers with couples planning beautiful, intentional weddings.

Photographers on SMP benefit from:

Established trust.
Couples know and trust Style Me Pretty. A vendor listed on SMP inherits that trust, which helps convert inquiries into bookings.

Massive reach and SEO visibility.
Style Me Pretty drives more than 1 billion annual social media impressions and dominates search rankings in the wedding space. Vendor profiles rank well and gain visibility in both organic results and AI-generated summaries.

Built-in conversion features.
Your listing includes:

  • A search-optimized vendor profile
  • Contact links and social handles
  • A custom gallery showcasing your work
  • Appearances in real wedding features and vendor searches

This makes it easier for couples to find you, trust you, and hire you.

The New Reality for Wedding Photographers

Before we jump into the “how” let’s acknowledge the landscape. Wedding photography is competitive. You’re up against hundreds, sometimes thousands, of other creatives. Most are talented. Many are local. Some may even charge less than you.

So how do you stand out?

You could rely on:

  • Instagram (where your post disappears in a few hours)
  • Referrals (which are amazing, but limited)
  • SEO (which takes months and constant tweaking)

All helpful. But not enough.

That’s where wedding vendor directories, especially ones with built-in trust and massive reach, can make all the difference.

Why Vendor Directories Are Game-Changers

  1. They Connect You with Ready-to-Book Couples
People who browse vendor directories aren’t randomly scrolling; they’re planning. They have a venue booked. A date picked. And now they need you. Being visible at this critical moment gives you an edge over less-proactive competitors.
  2. They Supercharge Your SEO
Every time your vendor profile links back to your website, it tells Google you’re important. The higher the authority of the site linking to you (hello, Style Me Pretty), the better your own search rankings become.
  3. They Build Instant Trust
Couples trust directories like Style Me Pretty. If you’re listed, that trust transfers to you. You don’t need to “prove” yourself as much — the directory has already done it for you.
  4. They Position You Alongside the Best
The company you keep matters. When you’re listed next to elite venues, planners, and designers, it elevates your brand by association.

Why Style Me Pretty Is THE Directory for Photographers

For over 20 years, Style Me Pretty has defined luxury and style in the wedding space. It’s where aesthetic-minded, design-obsessed couples go for inspiration and to find their vendors.

With:

  • Over 1 BILLION social media views
  • More than 10 million social followers across Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook, YouTube & TikTok
  • Thousands of vendor members
  • Dominant SEO presence in the wedding niche

This isn’t just a directory. It’s a lead-generation engine that blends editorial power, brand equity, and modern marketing.

Proof It Works: From Listings to Bookings

Wondering if a directory really converts? Thousands of vendors say yes and wedding photographers see some of the biggest gains.
When you’re on Style Me Pretty:

  • You show up in searches for your region and specialty
  • You’re linked in Real Wedding features that stay live for years
  • You receive qualified leads, not casual inquiries
  • You can close clients faster, because they already trust the platform

And with the rise of AI-powered search (more on that soon), being on high-authority platforms is more critical than ever.

Why SEO and AI Search Favor Vendor Directories

AI is transforming how people search. When couples ask tools like Google SGE or ChatGPT things like:

  • Best wedding photographer in Charleston
  • Top wedding vendors featured in Style Me Pretty
  • Wedding photographer with luxury style in Napa

AI tools often pull answers from trusted sources. If your website is new or has limited backlinks, it might not appear at all.

Style Me Pretty is a high-authority site that is regularly indexed and cited by both search engines and AI tools. Being listed here increases the chance of your business appearing in search results, even if your own website doesn’t.

Western Romance and Wildflowers in a Chic All-Black Dress Code

The last name of the wedding couple was “Black” so each of the guests dressed in black for the wedding day. Bridesmaids wore yellow in a nod to the beautiful wildflowers that sprinkled the surrounding mountains. All white flowers with yellow accents, like daisies, cosmos, and Queen Anne’s lace.

“We had plans to visit friends in NYC before a family wedding we were going to in New Jersey that weekend. I used to live in NYC so my husband knows how much I love the city and how special it is to me, so he figured it would be the perfect place to propose. He was able to keep it a surprise by letting me think I was planning out the whole trip myself, but he was conspiring with my NY friends for months to orchestrate the whole thing. One of my best friends is an artist and she told me she was having a show one night at the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens… little did I know there was no art show and instead when we got to the gardens I was brought to a beautiful bridge where my now husband got down on one knee. I was completely surprised and in even more shock when another one of my best friends (who happens to be a wedding photographer too) popped out of the bushes to photograph the whole thing! We then went to celebrate after at the Italian restaurant Cecconi’s in Dumbo and then with a night out in Manhattan! It was perfect!”

Classic Beauty and Intimate Vows in the Hills of Lake Como at Villa Balbiano

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”][/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

Martin and Nicole wanted their colors to complement the beautiful landscape and villa. White and olive green were their primary colors to match the scenery of the lake and lush green mountains. They added a pop of blush pink to complement the green.

The overall vibe of the wedding was timeless, elegant, and classic. They focused on complementing the vintage pieces that Villa Balbiano offered. Since it was just the two of them, the design was kept minimal to keep the center of attention focused on celebrating their love and their marriage.

[field title=”Proposal Story”]

Martin and Nicole are high school sweethearts who dated for 11 years before their engagement. Martin knew he wanted to make it a big moment to celebrate their storybook love story. He had been secretly planning Nicole’s proposal for a year, recruiting Nicole’s closest friends and family to orchestrate the day. He asked her friends to distract her while he and his family set up roses and candles at the iconic Palace of Fine Arts, Nicole’s favorite place in San Francisco. Nicole has always been keen on figuring out surprises, so Martin threw her off with decoy events in the upcoming months. As the end of 2022 neared, Nicole was discouraged that she would see a proposal that year. But on December 21, Nicole went to brunch with her best friends for their quarterly “girls’ day.” After brunch, the girls suggested they hang out and take pictures to enjoy the unusually sunny weather in December at the Palace of Fine Arts. Little did Nicole know that Martin was there waiting for her to arrive. As Nicole pulled into the Palace of Fine Arts, her eyes were drawn to a large crowd standing in front of the main fountain. An aisle lined with white roses and candles was set up, and at the end of the aisle stood Martin, smiling at her. In shock, Nicole made her way to the fountain where Martin proposed with the beautiful Palace of Fine Arts architecture gleaming in the sunset. Afterward, they took engagement photos and went to dinner where 50 of their closest friends surprised them with an engagement party filled with great food and drinks, and, of course, love for the newly engaged couple.

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]Nicole chose a wedding dress designed by Anne Barge. Her maid of honor, Sofie, and her mom, Myrna, joined her in Los Angeles at Jaxson James Bridal Salon during their trip to Los Angeles. What she loved most about the dress was the corset top, classic satin material, and the buttons that ran down the full train of the dress, adding a beautiful classic detail. She also added a couple of customized touches, including lowering the back of the dress and extending the train by an extra three feet. Nicole also added a side slit to the dress during alterations at Creative Alterations in Lafayette, CA, for a touch of sexiness.[/field]

[field title=”Food & Drink”]

Nicole and Martin love food and it has become a staple of their relationship. Some of their most cherished memories together are conversations over good cocktails and delicious food. For their private dinner, Martin and Nicole enjoyed a 7-course tasting meal crafted by Chef Manuele Pirotta, highlighting their favorite foods and drinks. They started with signature cocktails– a Manhattan for Nicole, and a martini for Martin. Then began the feast! For starters, they enjoyed beef tartare and truffle, a taste of Italian caviar, and oysters with green apple. The first course was lobster with celery and white butter sauce. Martin and Nicole had to incorporate pasta into the menu and enjoyed lobster with celery and white butter sauce. The main dish was a beef filet with red wine sauce and soft potatoes. For dessert, they enjoyed a classic Italian mille-follie cake where they were joined again by their wedding team. They popped open a bottle of champagne and had a tearful toast to celebrate the perfect day. A funny story they’d like to share: the portions were so hearty that Nicole changed out of her wedding dress back into her sweatpants to make room for the amount of food!

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]Their florals were designed by Bloom Ministry. They had four beautiful rose arrangements on pedestals framing Martin and Nicole against the beautiful lake and scenery. Bloom Ministry also created an aisle lined with roses framing the couple. During pictures, their planners moved the vases from the ceremony to the villa to be the perfect backdrop for their first dance and private dinner, making extra use of the ceremony decor. Giving even more utility, after the wedding they saved the flower arrangements and used them the next day at their small reception dinner with family and friends. Nicole’s bouquet was a simple arrangement of white reflexed roses with stems wrapped in white chiffon ribbon.

Instead of a traditional wedding cake, they indulged in an Italian mille-follie cake to celebrate their wedding with a classic Italian dessert.

The ceremony was officiated by Lake Como Officiant, Fabio, who is incredibly loving and warm. Their intimate elopement focused on their growth as a couple and celebrated how far they’ve come in their relationship. Nicole walked down the aisle to “Yebba’s Heartbreak” by Drake, an interlude symbolizing their unconditional love for one another and taking the next step in their relationship by saying “I do”. Fabio gave a special reading for them, “What is a Soulmate” by Emily Matthews. The highlight of the private ceremony was sharing their vows. It was a priority of theirs to be able to privately pour their hearts out and freely express their love for each other, the obstacles they’ve overcome, and the funny inside jokes only they understand. It was beautifully intimate, and they both laughed, cried, and shared memories of their 13-year love story. In the end, they walked out to “Love on Top” by Beyoncé, a joyous song marked by serendipity and celebration. Their planners were so cute and rushed over to them to throw rose petals in the air as they walked up the aisle. At the very end, Martin dipped Nicole down for a congratulatory kiss!

[field title=”Special Detail #1″]

After their ceremony, Nicole and Martin boarded a private classic Italian wooden boat to enjoy some time on what makes Como so special, the lake! They sipped champagne and celebrated their nuptials in true Lake Como fashion. It was a unique experience and a highlight of their day. Although the ceremony was private, Nicole and Martin were joined in Lake Como by 11 of their closest friends and family. They had an intimate welcome dinner in Bellagio at Dispensa 63, where they enjoyed a family-style dinner and cocktails highlighting the fresh, local ingredients of Lake Como. On the day of the wedding, Nicole was surrounded by her closest family and friends in their lake-view hotel room while she got her hair and makeup done by The Studio Como. Nicole chose a soft glam bridal makeup and a slicked-back ballet bun to complement the timeless, classy vibe of their wedding. Before jetting off for their private ceremony, Nicole and Martin took group photos with the wedding party at the Grand Hotel Tremezzo. Nicole and her mom are very close, and she wanted to share some special moments, even though the ceremony was private. Villa Balbiano granted special permission for Nicole’s mom to join them at the villa to help her change into her wedding dress and place the veil on her head. The day after the wedding, they celebrated with a beautiful reception dinner at Aquadolce, where they dined on a 4-course tasting menu. At the reception, Nicole wore the Leila Satin Corset Maxi Dress from Meshki in Ivory, and her hair was done by her older cousin, Candice. Candice had done Nicole’s hair and makeup 13 years ago at Nicole’s first prom with Martin, and doing her hair for her wedding was a touching full-circle moment for the two.
