Rattan, Hydrangeas, and “Old Florida” Vibes at the Gasparilla Inn Beach Club!

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]Light Blue & White [/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

Overall, we wanted our wedding design to match the “Old Florida” vibes of our venue at Gasparilla Inn Beach Club in Boca Grande, Florida. We went with striped linens, rattan candle holders, white hydrangeas, oranges, colorful invitations, etc which went perfectly with our reception being outside surrounding the pool.

[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]We had an intimate proposal at our apartment in Chicago the Sunday after Thanksgiving in 2021. Afterwards, we went and bought a Christmas tree and decorated our apartment for Christmas. It was just the two of us and I couldn’t have asked for anything better![/field]

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]We wanted the decor to match the classic “Old Florida” look of the Gasparilla Inn. We gravitated towards a simple/classic design on the pool deck with striped tablecloths, rattan candles, white hydrangeas, colorful menus/table numbers and oranges to hold our guest’s escort cards. The beauty of getting married at the Beach Club at the Gasparilla Inn is that we didn’t need to go over the top with decorations, being right on the pool deck surrounded by the ocean! [/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]We had a dessert table which included Mini Key Lime tarts, a Florida staple![/field]

A Modern Romantic Fairytale Wedding At Lowndes Grove

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]

Pink, White, Green

[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

Representative Deon Tedder, the groom, is a state representative for District 42 in Charleston, South Carolina, and his bride, Dr. Jillian Tedder, a local dentist, are a beloved couple that the community as a whole was so thrilled to see married, and this wedding would be the culmination of celebrating their story and their families and friends. The overall vision for this wedding day was to be something classic, romantic, and an ode to Charleston – showing off both the history and beautiful landscapes that surround Lowndes Grove. The couple wanted something that was both formal and approachable – making sure their guests felt comfortable while enjoying a stunning event at one of Charleston’s most well-known venues.

The bride’s dress was a Justin Alexander that she purchased from Bridal House of Charleston. She fell in love with the romantic applique adorned on the veil and the romantic silhouette that was the perfect match for this affair.

[/field]
[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]

The bridesmaid’s dresses were from Bella Bridesmaids. The perfect complementary color to the wedding vision, their dresser, Alexandra Moreau, made sure to arrive and give each girl their own individual styling of the dress, ensuring that they were not only perfectly flattering but also showed off each bridesmaid’s individual style.

The food and drink were provided by Lowndes Grove(PPHG) and was a total culinary celebration of foods we love from Charleston. Including refreshing spritzers and lemon drops, old-fashioned’s partnered with chicken and waffles, fried green tomatoes, and all the amazing southern staples, guests were treated to a perfect Charleston dining experience on the water.

[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

The florals took a romantic approach with baby’s breath and lush roses, two of the bride’s favorites. With the natural beauty that surrounds Lowndes Grove, these florals were more of a perfect complement, making a big impact where needed and feeling like a natural extension of the grounds simultaneously.

[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]The wedding cake was a five-layer traditional style of wedding cake, which naturally became a fun centerpiece for the reception space. Adorned with lush florals, the perfectly understated design was a natural fit for the clean aesthetic of the reception space. [/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]The couple decided to bring in viral sensation Dominique Hammons in to provide music for the ceremony and cocktail hour. Dominique played selections on his violin that ranged from classical to popular songs we all know and love, and brought such an electric energy to the wedding day. [/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]Special Sorority (Alpha Kappa Alpha) and Fraternity (Alpha Phi Alpha) rituals performed for both the bride and groom were extremely touching for the couple, and wowed their crowd. [/field]

A Timeless Destination Wedding Embracing The Natural Splendor Of The French Countryside

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]Lavender, Dusty Pink, Pearl and Green [/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]Eric and Michele wanted an effortless and timeless wedding design, and one that signified the inherent natural beauty of the French countryside. The couple wanted to show their personalities and also their love for their friends and family, with individual picture seating cards, table numbers symbolizing their years as a couple, thank-you serviettes and a traditional tea ceremony.[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]

Eric and Michele had been dating for almost nine years by the time he asked her to marry him. Four of these years were long distance, so he really wanted to ‘pay tribute’ to what a journey it’s been leading up to this point. He set up a scavenger hunt in their home with nine clues – one core memory from each year they have been together. The final clue led her to the Hong Kong Botanical Gardens, a dating spot during her Hong Kong visits in their long-distance years. Surrounded by bamboo trees and golden hour lighting, he got down on one knee, and she said Yes!

Michele wore Oscar de la Renta for her nuptials. It was a white strapless gown with panels of ruffled tulle that spiraled the skirt. It was never what she thought she would wear for her wedding, and yet everyone that day said that it was “so her” – deep down, she knew that was true from the very first moment she tried it on. For the afterparty, Michele switched into a semi-custom Mira Zwillinger lace romper with floral applique, perfect for dancing the night away. Eric opted for a tailor-made black double-breasted tuxedo with wide lapels and mother-of-pearl cufflinks and studs.

[/field]
[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]A nod to her drink of choice, Michele envisioned her bridesmaid in rich, wine-colored dresses. The burgundy-shade gowns were made to measure with individual cuts, materials and shades, showing off her best friends’ best selves.[/field]
[field title=”Groomsman Attire”]Eric tailored a three-piece, ‘broken suit’ design for his groomsmen. The ash-colored jackets were paired with navy blue vests and trousers. The look was completed with a navy tie with silver tulip accents. [/field]

[section title=”The Details”]
[field title=”Food & Drink”]For the wedding reception, the first course served was marinated prawn and candied vegetables and Provencal tomato tea. The second course was skewer of scallops, spelt risotto with country asparagus and chanterelles mushroom. For the main course, guests were given a choice of either veal confit glazed with honey and thyme, or a caramelized guinea fowl with rosemary, zucchini tatin, sweet onions and grated mushrooms. Dessert were palais gourmand pieces and the wedding cake. [/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

The ceremony decor was dreamt up by Sisters & Blush Floral Design using the color themes of lavender, dusty pink, and pearl. Sisters & Blush decorated the aisle in an ombre design with Provencal flowers of the season. The round ceremony arch was placed in front of gorgeous century-old pine trees, which served as the backdrop as the couple exchanged vows.

[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]

Les délices de Gladys designed a flame-inspired style cake made with feuille de riz, with bursts of citrus & lavender colors spiraling up a three-tiered cake. The cake came in two of the couple’s favorite flavors – mango cake with passion cream and chocolate with vanilla cream and fresh raspberries.

[/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]

The procession ceremony live music was the hauntingly beautiful song “Ocean Eyes” by Billie Eilish. The bride was escorted down the aisle by her father to “Moon River” by Audrey Hepburn, performed by the amazing Becky And Belha.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]In between the ceremony and dinner, Michele and Eric hosted a cocktail hour by the pool lawn, which was one of their favorite moments of the day. They got to mingle with their guests, take pictures and taste their chosen cocktails shaken up by DNA Bartending. Deliciously-named cocktail include Garden Spritz, Rosita, Coco di Rasta and Vieux Carre. Guests got to savor golden hour under a gentle summer breeze, with light bites served by Brunet, champagne and wine from a local Provence vineyard. [/field]

Deep Hues and Rich Texture at Luttrellstown Castle in Dublin

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”The Inspiration”]In the picturesque Irish countryside, Britt Jones envisioned a wedding that seamlessly blended the grandeur of an old Irish castle with the warmth and beauty of autumn. Gorgeous linens, Celtic-inspired details, and opulent floral arrangements created an exquisite atmosphere. The bride’s stunning gown, echoing the old world feel, added to the charm. This wedding inspiration was a harmonious fusion of seasonal allure and historical grace.[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]The celebration artfully incorporated the season’s rich textures and colors—deep yellow, burnt orange, and rich green, complemented by ivory and a pop of soft blue.[/field]
[field title=”The Venue”]Luttrellstown Castle, a quintessential and beautiful gem, stands as an embodiment of timeless grandeur and elegance in the heart of Ireland. Recently, it has been announced as Europe’s Leading Luxury Wedding Resort 2023 at the World Travel Awards. Nestled amidst lush, rolling landscapes and pristine green fields, this historic castle is architectural brilliance. Luttrellstown offers a captivating blend of old-world charm and modern luxury. It’s also where Victoria & David Beckham said, “I do!” [/field]

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]The ceremony took place in the castle’s courtyard adorned with autumnal arches, while the candlelit reception exuded timeless elegance. It was such a joy for Hope Helmuth Photography to capture. [/field]
[field title=”Favorite Design Element”]My favorite design element was the unique ceremony set up. The double floral arches welcomed guests to gather around a beautiful 360 seating design amongst ancient grounds. In similar fashion, floral arches also framed the gorgeous reception design, welcoming guests into a gorgeous night under the October sky. [/field]
[field title=”Tips To Pull Off The Look”]1. Choose the Right Dress: Select a wedding gown that aligns with your vision of sophistication and elegance. Look for timeless silhouettes, luxurious fabrics, and exquisite detailing. Consider a classic ballgown or a sleek A-line dress for an elegant look. The sleeves and collar detail really pulled this look together.

2. Color Palette: Choose a color palette for your wedding decor and bridesmaids’ dresses that resonates with the sophistication of a castle wedding. Deep, rich colors can add a touch of luxury to your celebration.

3. Florals: To achieve a stunning blend of organic and timeless aesthetics, mix gorgeous garden flowers in a way that emphasizes the natural beauty of your venue. Combine classic blooms like roses and peonies with wild flowers for a harmonious, sophisticated balance that brings the garden’s charm into a modern context.

Cinderella Inspired Wedding in Villa Pizzo on Lake Como

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”The Inspiration”]

Inspired by the romance of Cinderella and the elegance of Lake Como, this astonishing photoshooting day was realized in early November in Villa Pizzo.

[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]No couple is a stranger to the tradition of incorporating a little something blush baby pink, blue and white on the wedding day, but when it becomes the entire palette, we’re even happier. [/field]
[field title=”The Venue”]

When it comes to real Italian elegance, the seventeenth-century Villa Pizzo became one of the most appreciated Lake Como wedding venues. Its well-maintained interiors filled with paintings and architectural details, three astonishing buildings surrounded by a large private and beautiful Italian garden, its large open lakeside stone terraces, along with its charming and romantic outdoor dining courtyard, make the villa the ideal location for prestigious weddings.

[field title=”Tips To Pull Off The Look”]

A Cinderella white and pink wedding with a wedding dress in baby blue is a chameleon of wedding aesthetics—it can be classic, modern, or chic. Future brides have to decide on the major color of their wedding and if it can stand with the right venue. When it comes to Villa Pizzo, its elegance and beauty can better stand with pale color palettes. Though, the reception area, which tends to be a large open lake-side terrace, could be enhanced with a big arch of flowers of the same colors.

An Intimate Ceremony in Tuscany and a Texas Sized Reception in Dallas

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]In Italy the bride and groom chose to keep it neutral and play of the colors of the Tuscan environment with whites and greens. However in Dallas they wanted to be fun and colorful and bring back hints of Italian design, with pops of greens, yellows, oranges, and fuchsia as our main color scheme.[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]The bride Merissa had always dreamed of getting married in Italy as she’s a dual citizen in US and Italy and took many family trips there growing up. The bride and groom went on a spontaneous trip to Italy four years ago and it became a special place for the both of them. Little did they know four years later they would be saying their vows at the same castle in Tuscany that they visited on a wine tasting.
Merissa and Cole started at rock bottom. Literally. The two met Merissa’s first night out of college at a popular dive bar near TCU called Rock Bottom, or The Bottom. They stayed in touch but started officially dating two years later, and became inseparable for the 7 years to follow.
From the beautiful views of the Tuscan countryside to the live musicians, gelato cart, vintage car, and twinkle light dinner it made for the wedding day of their dreams.

Their Dallas reception was a 250 person formal soirée held in a custom tent at Arlington Hall. They used inspiration from Italy for the overall design of the reception such as bougainvillea and lemons hanging from the ceiling, yellow striped awnings, terracotta pots, and a custom Tuscan pattern dance floor that matched our invitations. They also brought in a lot of personal and fun touches- from a drone show, to disco dancers, to custom trucker hats for the after party, to a vintage TCU getaway car. They even played a 2 minute trailer video of the wedding in Tuscany done by the talented Mountaintop Films as an intro to their grand entrance, allowing the guests to see the emotions and beauty of their ceremony day in Tuscany. [/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]Shortly after celebrating their six year anniversary, Cole decided it was time to propose. Since Merissa photographs many proposals herself, he had to be extra sneaky when coming up with a surprise plan. His family had her convinced that it was his uncle’s 60th birthday party, with a fake invitation and all. One of his recently engaged cousins asked Merissa if she could snap some photos of them before the party at a nearby waterfall in the neighborhood. Merissa arrived to take the photos and when she walked down to the waterfall she saw Cole, and her two best friends taking photos and videos. That wasn’t the last of the surprises though. After the proposal they walked into the backyard where the “birthday party” was being held and Merissa saw all of her friends and family there with a huge part of 100 people that had come in to celebrate them. [board_carousel title=”Cocktail Hour”]

[/board_carousel]
[section title=”The Details”]
[field title=”Food & Drink”]In Italy the bride and groom chose to have apertivo cocktail hour with Aperol spritz, negronis, and some classic Italian appetizers. For dinner the castle chef served them homemade gnocchi, beef short rib, eggplant parmesan and they had a gelato cart for dessert.

In Dallas there was a large variety of food, from tuna towers, to pasta, to steak. Some special touches were the lemon sorbet and limoncello spritz welcome drinks.[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]In Italy the bride actually designed many of the decor items herself, from the personalized embroidered napkins for each guest, to the menu cards and bar signs.

In Dallas all florals and design were done by the talented Emily Clarke Events. Since Italy was very classic and neutral they wanted the reception in Dallas to be more fun and colorful- with lots of inspiration from Italy. [/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]One of the most unique parts of the wedding was doing a non-traditional cake. In Italy they opted to have a gelato cart instead of cake, from Vivoli Gelato. Little did they know the owner of Vivoli himself would be the one serving the gelato that day!

In Dallas they chose to do 2 “groom’s cakes” instead of a typical “bride’s cake”. They had fun cake displays done by Sugar Bee Sweets that showed off each of their passions: a golf bag for Cole and a camera for Merissa.[/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]The bride’s brother officiated the ceremony in Italy which was a very special touch. Merissa walked down the aisle to “Video Games” by Lana Del Rey, played by a live violinist and harpist.

At the reception in Dallas all of the special dances were performed live by the talented Goga Music, from the country first dance song- “Quite Like You” by Shane Smith and the Saints, to the Italian father-daughter dance song- “Figlia Mia” by Gigione, to the mother-son song honoring the groom’s late granddad- “My Way” by Frank Sinatra. Goga also preformed some Andrea Bocelli Italian opera during dinner.

For the after party in Dallas they had Dom Nagella from Le Force DJ for a very modern, club vibe.
[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]When choosing a photographer, Merissa had a specific vision after years of photographing couples herself. In Italy she chose Vlasta Weddings, a photo team with a background in fashion that creates beautiful magazine worthy images with a more artistic vibe. For Dallas she had Mikayla C Photos, a talented photographer friend of hers shoot the even. Her style was perfect to capture the bright, vibrant colors and her use of film/polaroids was also a selling point.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]Having a ceremony and honeymoon 2 weeks before a reception definitely isn’t typical, but it was perfect for Merissa and Cole. After their Tuscany wedding they honeymooned in Puglia for 10 days, returned to Dallas, and had the reception 6 days later. [/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]Since the bride is a photographer herself, she was able to photograph her own flatlay/detail photos- which was a special touch and made it easier getting them done in advance versus the day of! [/field]

Modern Romance at Park Winters Filled With Classic Charm

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]

The colors were white, ivory, black, and pops of green from the florals and lush landscape.

[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

Vanessa and Jordan wanted a timeless, intimate event with a neutral palette. The couple envisions an intimate evening filled with cultural music and a fun dance party, all surrounded by warm candlelight outdoors. Park Winters was chosen for its timeless garden feel and private setting in Winters, CA. Although the heat wave forced the wedding to be moved indoors, the planner Events by Kristina Elyse, recreated the outdoor ambiance indoors flawlessly.

[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]Vanessa and Jordan have known each other since 6th grade! Vanessa put together a family shoot mainly to capture their puppies! Jordan thought, what better time to propose since there will be a photographer and she has her nails done! He emailed the photographer separately to coordinate the perfect location. He got Vanessa’s sisters and best friend involved to create a picnic on the river and hired a florist to create a beautiful backdrop. After the shoot he had their friend’s and family waiting at their favorite restaurant to celebrate. [/field]

At the end of the night, Vanessa changed into a Hailey Bieber-inspired sleek halter neck dress from Revolve.

[/field]
[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]

Vanessa wanted the wedding to feel like a black-and-white movie, complete with a black tie affair and elegant floor length gowns. The bridesmaids wore dresses by La Femme, which fit the occasion like a glove.

The couple wanted the night to feel like an intimate dinner with delicious food since they are both foodies! Park Winters offers an incredible menu with seasonal produce farm-to-fork! The guests began the meal with a farm green salad topped with honey shallot dressing and peaches picked from Park Winter’s garden. Miso Honey glazed King Salmon over a bed of book choy, Roasted New York Steak with potatoes gratin and summer squash, and Garden Vegetable lasagna! The guests enjoyed the specialty cocktails: Her drink was white linen, muddled cucumbers with vodka, and he was a rum and coke. They both share a love for mocktails and provide a dry option: muddled berries and sparkling water, picked specially by the bride and groom. The night ended with late-night snacks, pizza, the groom’s all-time favorite food.

[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

Keeping with the minimal and classic theme for her wedding, The florist, Bella Nozze, used white and ivory flowers to accentuate every touch point of the wedding. Specialty white blooms danced across the bountiful greens, designed to look as though they were part of the venue. The symbol of romance, voluminous roses, were in the bride’s bouquet and lined the bride and groom’s head table. A mix of white floral medley was present in all the other floral installations.

[field title=”Wedding Cake”]

The couple wanted something light and fresh and chose a timeless vanilla cake with fresh raspberry filling made by Cami Caked. The couple opted for a private cake cutting before the ceremony so they could enjoy more time with their guest. The quick cake cutting was done to the song This Will Be (An Everlasting Love) by Natalie Cole playing in the background.

[/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]

It was important to the bride’s family to bring in a little bit of Mexican culture, so the couple had a traditional mariachi band, Mariachi Mex Cali, play during the ceremony and all of the cocktail hour. The guests danced to live music under the setting sun while enjoying the specialty cocktails picked specially by the bride and groom. For their first dance song, the couple chose You Are the Best Thing by Ray LaMontagne, and the party ended with Coming Home by Leon Bridges.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]

Finding table assignments was the focal point of cocktail hour. “Together is a beautiful place to be” was the title for the escort chart, which was the theme for the entire evening. Three tall white pillars with crisp black lettering and greenery at the bases made the statement the couple was looking for, beautifully designed by Shimmer & Stain.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]

The couple’s dogs, Toby and Murphy, are a huge part of their lives. With the heat, they weren’t able to have them join the ceremony, but as proud dog parents, Vanessa wanted to include their puppies into the wedding. Shimmer & Stain perfectly captured their portrait on a linen cocktail sign, and Aerialist Press incorporated the design into their save the date. They also made an appearance on the specialty cocktail menu; theirs was a margarita with a Tajin Salt Rim in honor of their sweet and spicy personalities!

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]The couple read private vows for their first look including memories they shared all the way to their first meeting in the sixth grade. [/field]

Feminine Modernity With an Iconic Seattle View

[field title=”Wedding Colors”]White, Cream, Blush, Dusty Rose, Violet, and hint of pale blue[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]For Shine & Kyonghoon’s wedding, the couple wanted to create a dreamy and classic atmosphere while infusing just a hint of modernity. To achieve this design and vibe, A la Chloe carefully selected a palette of soft pastels such as blush pink, lavender, and pale blue. These colors were incorporated into every element of the wedding, from the floral arrangements featuring delicate roses and orchids to the table settings adorned with beautiful linens from BBJ La Tavola. To add a touch of modernity, the ceremony arch, which was artistically filled with beautiful florals on the custom backdrop from On the Wall Studio, seamlessly blended with the overall aesthetic. The venue was chosen for its romantic ambiance with stunning views of Elliott Bay & Puget Sound in Seattle downtown. Ultimately, this design combined the enchantment of dreams with timeless elegance and subtle contemporary elements for an unforgettable wedding experience.[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]From Shine- It was on Christmas Eve! The church where I grew up in Kona Hawaii had their Youth Group come to Tacoma Washington for a mission trip, so Hoon and I decided to bring some Korean snacks and ice cream as a little Christmas treat at a lunch hosted by our former senior pastor. During that time, three of Hoon’s brothers secretly came to our house and decorated our living room with balloons, backdrops, and an aisle runner in front of our Christmas Tree that we had all put up together a couple of weeks before (this was all planned too according to Hoon); it was pretty impressive. When we got back from lunch, I noticed that our living room light was on, and I was immediately annoyed since I thought I had forgotten to turn off the light; what a waste of electricity for about 4-5 hours! Then we came upstairs through the basement garage, and as soon as I stepped on the aisle runner, I knew it was time. The background music that the brothers chose was “Christmas Tree” by V; they were so into the music as we were walking down the aisle together. And there it was! The ring with the diamond. Despite the immense pressure of all of a sudden seeing something so valuable, I was above and beyond grateful that God placed me with the right partner at the right time of my life.[/field]

An Intimate and Romantic Lake Como Wedding Overflowing With Flowers

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]White, pink, peach, blue, yellow[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

From the bride… I was obsessed with Bridgerton while planning the wedding and wanted that vibrant yet soft color vibe for our wedding. I wanted to enhance the colors of the villa, which is why we matched the moms’ dresses to the shutters and the bridesmaids’ dresses to the flowers in the garden.

[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]Garrett wanted to reset the scene of our first date at the Riverwalk in San Antonio. He got together with our friends and they came up with a brilliant plan to get me downtown for New Year’s Eve so that I wouldn’t be suspicious (I’m a very difficult person to surprise). When we got to the spot – a bridge where we took our first photo together as a couple – my friends suggested taking a photo of us, since the river was all lit up. Instead of a photo, they were taking videos, as while I was posing, Garrett was getting down on his knee to ask me to marry him. I was in complete shock, as my response was, “What! No! No way! What…YES!?” [/field]

I wore Adeline by Rita Vinieris. I was feeling discouraged while dress shopping and had decided to call it a day, when I saw the dress on my way out. I asked my stylist if I could try it on, even though it was a very different silhouette from what I wanted, I was drawn in by the details on the top. I immediately started crying when I looked in the mirror, and more tears began flowing when she told me the dress was called Adeline, which is my grandmother’s name. It was meant to be!

[/field]
[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]I wanted my bridesmaids to feel beautiful and comfortable on the day, so I asked them to choose their own dresses. I requested light pastel colors that were cohesive with the garden and encouraged florals, ruffles and/or flowy gowns. It worked out that all of the girls ended up wanting pink dresses, so we pivoted and I asked my maid of honor to wear a dress with a yellow base to stand out from the pink. I think they all looked beautiful and the dresses went great with my vision![/field]
[field title=”Groomsman Attire”]For the groomsmen we gave a lot less direction. We asked them to avoid black, and requested that they wear what they would imagine they’d see at an Italian garden party. They were so great in choosing their looks and really hit the nail on the head. My favorite look was Garrett’s little brother, who wore a matching toile de jouy tie and pocket square – it was adorable![/field]

Working with Sunlake Catering was a dream! The food was incredible, restaurant quality, and they were so helpful in assisting us as we paired the food and wine. I felt like we truly had an authentic Italian cuisine experience at our wedding. Upon arrival, guests were greeted with prosecco as a welcome drink, which continued to be served into cocktail hour, where it was met with aperol and limoncello spritz. The food served during cocktail hour was delicious; we had a large charcuterie-like spread on the tables, and passed apps included meatballs, chicken, Parmigiano cheese on a crouton topped with truffle, and a biscuit of Parmigiano cheese paired with Praga ham. For dinner we were met with our first course, ravioli filled with burrata, fresh tomatoes and basil, paired with Baracco de Baracho. Our second course was sliced sirloin beef atop salad, with walnuts, Parmigiano Reggiano cheese and balsamic vinegar pearls, paired with Montepulciano Superiore. After dinner we had an open bar, but continued to serve our specialty drinks of aperol and limoncello spritz.

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

Margarita at Lake Como Florist is an absolute artist! She was so easy to work with and truly brought my vision to life. I didn’t want to overdo it with the florals because I didn’t want to take away from the natural beauty of Lake Como and Villa Regina Teodolinda. I told Margarita I wanted to do a large, fluffed, dramatic arch for the ceremony, and she definitely delivered! I felt that the florals in our ceremony space complimented both the villa and the scenery of the lake but still had that wow factor I wanted. For the tablescape, I loved the idea of one large table with the floral piece running down the middle, accompanied by candles. Unlike our arch, I asked that we include a light pop of color into this arrangement to compliment the peach color of the villa. The flowers were so perfect; it was like I had taken the vision I had in my head and handed it to Margarita, who made it come to life!

[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]

[/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]In true Bridgerton fashion, we had a string quartet play covers of modern songs for the ceremony and cocktail hour. I walked down the aisle to their rendition of “I Will Always Love You,” which felt like a dream. We had our first dance to “Il Mondo.” About Time is our favorite movie, and we had always joked that I would walk down the aisle to Il Mondo like Rachel McAdams did in that movie. When it came time for us to plan our wedding, we continued to make that joke, but then began to consider it for our first dance. We reached a point where we’d said, “If our song is going to be in Italian, should we just get married in Italy?” And the rest was history![/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]There are two details of our wedding that stand out to me. I was obsessed with our invitation suite, but especially loved our RSVP cards because we were able to feature our dogs on it. Our three dogs are our babies and we wanted to incorporate them into the special day somehow, and I think the artist perfectly captured them and their personalities on the card. [/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″] The second detail that was so special to me was the song I danced to with my dad for our father-daughter dance. We started out with a traditional choreographed slow dance, but broke out into a polka halfway through the dance. This was a big secret we had been keeping, and I feel like our guests all loved it! I loved being able to celebrate our Polish background and making that memory with my dad![/field]

A Style-Centered Keswick Vineyards Wedding That Wows

The bride, Kedron, has an impeccable taste and sense of fashion, so we collaborated to give her the wedding design of her dreams that matched her own style. Kedron’s and Aaron’s ceremony overlooked the vineyards and their altar space was flanked by a beautiful broken arch of white and green florals. Cocktails were enjoyed on the patio along with passed canapes, and as guests entered into the sailcloth tent for the reception, they were met with a beautiful design of neutral, earthy tones and textures, subtle pops of mixed metals, and a whimsical green floral print on linens with complimenting floral arrangements and tall tapered candles.

Kedron wore a beautiful down with an asymmetrical neckline from Lovely Bride Charleston. It fit her like a glove — in the most perfect way! After their ceremony, Kedron and Aaron poured champagne in their champagne tower surrounded by their wedding party, then Kedron popped on a pair of white-framed vintage sunglasses and strutted around the venue hand in hand with her groom sipping on signature cocktails – blood orange cosmos and black walnut old fashioneds – and hugging their loved ones.

Bridesmaids dresses were curated by the bride herself — she gave her ladies a palette of inspiration and encouraged them each to select dresses that fit the design and made them feel most comfortable. The majority of bridesmaids dresses were sourced from BHLDN.

Vintage European Garden Party in Temecula, CA

[section title=”The Planning”]

[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]Megan’s initial inspiration for her wedding vision stemmed from her childhood memories of using vintage blue and white floral English countryside dishes in her family home. These very dishes were originally gifted to her mother as her wedding tableware, and they served as the primary source of inspiration for Megan’s special day. Megan even used one of these dishes in her detail’s photo. Megan wanted her wedding to feel like a vintage European garden party. The vintage stonehouse, blue and white florals, parasols, and hand held fans all reflected the vintage european garden party theme.

It was as close to love at first sight as you can get. They spent much of the next year building a friendship and started dating in September of 2020 following months spent separated due to Covid. They dated throughout college and made some wonderful memories. In November of 2022, Lane surprised Megan with a proposal of engagement just one month before her graduation in December of 2022 at a beautiful lake outside of Waco. Family and friends traveled to Waco from all over the country to surprise and celebrate the couple and this new season.

The music selections included various songs that fit the overall classic vibe of the wedding including Frank Sinatra, Natalie Cole, Louis Armstrong, and more.

She wore her mother’s cherished childhood cameo ring on her right ring finger as her “something old.” Her wedding dress represented her “something new.” The communion goblets used in the ceremony were a meaningful touch, as they belonged to Lane’s parents from their own wedding, serving as Megan’s “something borrowed.” Lastly, Megan’s blue heels by Seychelles completed the tradition as her “something blue.”

Guest comfort was truly at the forefront of our design. We had multiple lounge set up’s throughout the space so guests could kick their feet up no matter where they were on the property. We did a mix of neutral patterned linen with pops of black and marble accents throughout the decor. We wanted to keep the look of the market umbrellas from the ceremony cohesive with the cocktail hour space and spruced them up a bit with a white and black scalloped umbrella offering shade as well as a point of interest in the lot. We kept a clear tent in order to not block anyone’s view from the water. Multiple custom bars were placed throughout the space. The mirrored bar and lounge tent was one of my favorite parts of the design![/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]Days after our 2 year anniversary we were at the beach for our annual beach trip with my friends from college. After dinner Charlie asked me if we could do one of our favorite things, a sunset golf cart ride. Driving up to our favorite spot I saw a set up with a blanket, photos, and my favorite flowers. With tears streaming down my face he grabbed me by the hand and led me off the golf cart and to our spot where he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. The easiest yes of my entire life!

Love Story:
Charlie and I actually went to highschool together but we did not date, nor did we really know each other, only of each other. Five years later when we were both quarantined back in our hometown due to COVID19 we reconnected. It took only a few dates to realize I could spend the rest of my life with this man.

I scoured the internet until I found the most perfect robe from VOIR Bride. The Victoria Robe was everything I had dreamed of and more.

I decided to keep wedding dress shopping intimate, only having my mom go with me. We started off in Charleston which is where we found my first look dress from Jodi Moylan at White on Daniel Island as well as my Anne Barge after party dress. After this, I knew I wanted an additional dress… something fun, something showstopping, something different. This is when my mom and I took off to New York City for our appointment with Nardos. We were lucky enough to have Nardos herself in our appointment. After talking to her about my vision, I watched her bring my vision to life as she sketched it all out in front of me. I lived my dream for the next six months having several trips to both Dallas and New York City for dress fittings until I finally got to bring home my dream wedding dress.

I wanted to give them things they would wear and use for a long time, not just on this day. There was no better option than the SKIMS short ribbed pajama set and my favorite ugg slippers.

When searching for bridesmaid dresses I knew I did not want my girls to have to break the bank but I wanted them in something they felt beautiful in. After searching several different places, I found the perfect dress from Birdy Grey. I had my girls in the black crepe Ash dress paired with beautiful Chan Luu earrings.

[field title=”Food & Drink”]This entire wedding day would not have been possible without my mom. She was a part of every decision, every detail, and every trip for dress fittings. This was one of the most fun seasons for the two of us and I wanted to think of a way to thank her and to honor her. Rather than having a bride and groom signature drink, we had one and named it after her: “Sabrina’s Sweet Dog”

Sarah and her mom always put together a lavish charcuterie board when entertaining guests for their parties, so it was important to them to keep this tradition alive. Given it was a warm June day, we wanted to still present charcuterie without putting out a display that would sit in the sun. Patrick Properties helped us create a custom passed item- the charcuterie cone! Guests were passed vellum cones finished with the couple’s monogrammed sticker from Studio R design. This was the perfect touch for cocktail hour!

When approaching design and our menu- we knew wanted to opt for items that not only would our guests love but also help beat the heat. In addition to Sabrina’s sweet dog, we passed a frozen gin gimlet. Patrick Properties was able to recreate one of our favorite summer cocktails from a downtown Charleston staple, Leon’s!

Of course we also wanted to showcase some Charleston staples like chicken and waffles, fried green tomatoes, and shrimp and grits!

No wedding night would be complete without passing espresso martinis after cake!

In lieu of a “wedding favor” we actually gave each guest a custom doughnut bag with Charlie’s favorite doughnut holes that were attached to the after party ticket![/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]First we started with the ceremony design. We knew wanted the mix of vintage pews and chairs as well as the market umbrellas to offer comfort to guests. However, it wasnt until after we saw the surprise dress that we knew we had to go a little bigger. Loluma Events built the custom arbor and stage so we could really showcase the new dress! Flora Andraya dressed up the arbor so beautifully with garden roses, white ranunculus, peonies, roses, sweet pea, stock, hydrangea and campanula.

As Sarah and Charlie recessed- guests threw rose petals on the newly happily married couple!

As guests made their way into the cocktail hour, this was the first place we started to introduce a few contemporary accents. We wanted guests to feel comfortable no matter where they were throughout the night. Lounge sets were completed with gold coffee tables, some of our favorite coffee table books, and florals tucked into a black compote. The black and white scalloped umbrellas really dressed up the space.

During cocktail hour- guests had the option of multiple custom bars finished with contemporary vases and gold table lamps. After cocktail hour, one of our bars actually flipped to a custom cigar bar.

Once we made our way into the tent- we knew we wanted one focal lounge piece to really set the tone. Loluma built a custom lounge banquette that completed this look! The floral adorned stage and all white dancefloor completed more of our glam look under the tent. We ended up sourcing a bunch of vintage crystal bowls that were used throughout the reception- on bars, lounge, etc.

The greenery bed swing hanging from the old oak tree was a must-have piece for Sarah and Charlie!

The all-white floral custom photobooth backwall was also a favorite part of the night for guests! [/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]Jim Smeal recreated the design of Sarah’s showstopping custom Nardos gown that was a surprise to her bridal party, family, and groom! [/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]It was important to still create the feeling of having a church ceremony on the lawn of Lowndes Grove. From a design standpoint- we opted to bring in a mix of vintage pews as well as structure chairs to still give that illusion of a chapel. Given it was a warm day in June, market umbrellas dotted the ceremony site and each guest had a seagrass hand fan in their seats. As a fun surprise- once guests jumped off the buses- Voices of Deliverance, a gospel choir, stepped out onto the top porch of the home to sing for guests!

While we switched over to a Palmetto strings trio for the actual ceremony songs, voices of deliverance actually made their way down to the ceremony site to sing the recessional and lead guests down to cocktail hour on the water while doing so! The choir sang Oh Happy Day as guests grabbed signature cocktails and began the party!

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]Sarah has always had a love for fashion, so it was only normal for her to not have 1 but 3 dresses for her wedding day! Sarah did her first look with Charlie, her family, and bridesmaids all in dress #1. It was a complete surprise to everyone when she walked down the aisle in the brand new Nardos gown. Once the Nardos gown came into the picture, it truly did inspire so many different elements to the design. And of course it was only fitting that Sarah would change one more time into the Anne Barge gown for her exit and after party![/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]Because Sarah did a special surprise for her mom during the cocktail hour- she knew she wanted to also have a special surprise for her father as well! We surprised both her dad and guests by bringing in a cigar roller from Cigar Row. This was a very fun interactive moment for guests- all were partaking! We created custom cigar bands and matches and keepsakes. The cocktail hour bar was flipped to be the cigar bar and guests enjoyed throughout the evening! [/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]My entire life my brothers and my dad have been the men who have stood by my side, challenged me, and helped make me the woman I am today. They are my best friends and have set the standard for men in my life. It was only fitting that I not only did a first look with my dad but also my three brothers. This was one of my favorite things I did on my wedding day.[/field]

A Vibrant Color Palette on the French Riviera at Restaurant Basile

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]The choice of colors was directly linked to our personalities and temperaments, I am a very joyful, very enthusiastic person and I could not imagine my wedding without colors. We therefore chose very colorful flowers, bright colors and others a little more pastel. When I look at the photos I tell myself that the result was everything we wanted.[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]The atmosphere of our wedding reflected our couple, in a magnificently hidden place like a secret garden hidden behind an old country house but vibrant with color and laughter. To the tune of bossa nova and jazz, we brought together all our loved ones, in an enclosed space where we were able to fully enjoy each speech, each tear shed and all the laughter exchanged.[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]We are Julie and Christopher, 36 and 39 years old, we have been a couple for 15 years. We met at the time on the internet, the flash was direct, we never left each other!

We have a little girl who is 7 years old, and who was delighted with this wedding, I was surprised several times by her enthusiasm and the happiness she had in participating in the preparation of the wedding, the choice of her dress , his accessories, everything was just as important as mine!

We took a long time because life was punctuated by a lot of twists and turns, I started my business twice, it took me a while to achieve stability, I lost my two parents, we had to wait to find the desire to celebrate and welcome happiness, I think we really wanted to share our love with the people we love and also it took us a while to be ready to say to ourselves: ok we really choose each other for life.

We wanted this stage of serenity in life, and personal accomplishment for both of us.

The marriage proposal was quite simple: at home with our daughter, we looked at each other and said: what if we did it?[/field]

[field title=”Food & Drink”]We wanted a good meal, starter, main course, cheese and dessert with good wine, which was the case, the guests were able to choose between 2 starters and 2 main courses.

in addition we had signature cocktails: ti ponch because my fiancé has Martinican paternal origins, rum was obligatory and I wanted a more feminine cocktail, gin ladies, with strawberry, a pure treat.[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]Working in the wedding industry, I knew exactly what to do as a floral design. I have a pretty happy personality and I wanted peppy colors. I dreamed of my bridal bouquet with 150 pink sweet peas.

Then I wanted flowered tablecloths, in fact flowers everywhere as a theme: the stationery, the napkin ring, the guest gift, candles etc..

I put together my file as I do for my clients: I adapted the flowers to the dimensions of the tables: the guests’ long tables were narrow so I provided small vases all along the table.

Our head table was very large so I planned a floral cascade which was the central element of the dinner

stationery[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]Christopher, my husband now, let me organize the wedding according to my tastes, he had 2 requests: rum and his favorite dessert: croque en bouche. So I also added the mini tropéziennes, we ordered the pièce montée and the mini tropéziennes from “la tarte tropézienne” which are obviously the best.[/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]The singer’s name is Lyla, she’s a friend, she sings divinely well, when I asked her if she wanted to sing for my wedding she was so happy.

We discussed several songs, I wanted jazz and bossa nova music for the cocktail and with her warm voice and talent, she really managed to give an elegant and romantic atmosphere to the reception.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]For my wedding rings, I chose it in a small Parisian boutique Sophie Dagon Paris, I loved the fact that the ring represented a bouquet of diamond flowers, and also that the designer used recycled gold and truly has an ethical manufacturing process.

For Christopher’s, he wanted to call on his cousin @jeremy.boueilh who is a jeweler-setter in Geneva and he made him a unique ring.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]I am lucky to have that amazing team to coordinate our wedding, i work with the Wanderlust wedding team in collaboration all year round because i am a wedding floral designer, we talked about my wedding a little beforehand but I organized the main one on my side because we already had a very busy wedding schedule for our season!

Their helping hand was a breath of fresh air. Marion took up all my ideas, got in touch with my family and friends to coordinate on the big day all the surprises they had prepared for us, the whole evening went smoothly, which allowed us to enjoy.[/field]

A Timeless Texas Wedding That Was Dripping In Custom Details

[field title=”Proposal Story”]

From the bride… My sweet girlfriends texted me to plan for a girl’s brunch date for an upcoming Saturday. What I didn’t know was that “brunch” would actually be the first day of forever with my husband. Saturday morning came along, and one of my friends came to pick me up at my house. She made sure I was dressed perfectly by telling me we were “dressing up for brunch.” Thirty minutes later, we pulled up to a beautiful garden where I saw my husband standing and waiting for me with roses in hand. At that moment I knew that it was happening!! Blake helped me out of the car and led me to a spot that he had picked out by a fountain. There, he pulled out seven letters he had written each day leading up to the proposal followed by a handwritten letter he wrote me which ended with him down on one knee. Of course, I was beaming with joy and quickly answered yes! Blake and I’s families came running out of some nearby bushes to congratulate us on our new engagement! After a little photo shoot with the photographer that Blake hired, we headed to my parents’ house on Lake Conroe where all of our friends and family were waiting to celebrate the future Browns! The rest of the weekend was full of so much joy and laughter with the people we love the most!

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]

From the bride… The way I found my wedding gown is actually a really funny story! I was scrolling through Tik Tok one day and saw this video of this beautiful A-line lace dress at a wedding boutique up north somewhere. I immediately sent it to my sister who was my Maid of Honor, who also was in complete love with this dress. I began to research the designer and find out who carried that designer here in Houston. With my luck, that designer was only found at Brickhouse Bridal in The Woodlands, Texas which ironically was the first wedding boutique that I would be going to that weekend! Come Saturday, we walked into Brickhouse Bridal and I told them I wanted to try on this dress first and foremost! The moment that I put that dress on I had no doubt it was the one! I felt truly so beautiful in it and never wanted to take it off! I loved the uniqueness of the dress from the lace corset, the hint of sparkle in the tule that glistening in the sunlight, the intricate beading work, and let’s not forget about the ten foot long train! I tried on many dresses after that first one, but no other dress came even close to it! On wedding day, I added on a twelve foot long veil along with dainty pearl earrings and a beautiful diamond bracelet from my husband.

[/field]
[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]

The bridesmaids were all dressed in Show Me Your Mumu‘s signature taupe shade, ‘Show Me The Ring.’ Each bridesmaid got their choice of silhouette in a chiffon fabric, while the Maid of Honor wore a satin dress in the same hue. We love how this cool-toned neutral paired with the rest of the wedding design (especially the florals!) It reads neutral while providing depth and texture.

City View Catering created a masterful guest experience through their delectable stations meal and passed hors d’oeuvres during cocktail hour. Guests started by enjoying bruschetta, ceviche shooters, and par and brie bites under the cocktail hour tent. Inside, they started by enjoying a plated winter salad and then were treated to the multiple food stations that included a Chicken Wellington tower and a spiced pork tenderloin carving station, alongside scalloped potatoes and julienne vegetables. The bar experience was no less stellar than the food, featuring the couple’s signature cocktails which were a margarita on the rocks and a jack and coke. The drinks were dressed up with custom drink stirrers & cocktail napkins. Beyond that, guests were treated to a full-service bar.

[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

Madi & Blake’s wedding day was all-things timeless and romantic from a floral & design perspective. Flora + Fauna beautifully brought Madi’s ivory & blush tone dreams to life through the refined floral elements that were present on the wedding day. Some of our favorite components were the lush floral meadows that appeared in the ceremony space, the cocktail hour tent, and the stage facades in the reception. The bridal bouquet was refined in shape and featured the most beautiful mixture of garden roses, hydrangeas, ranunculus, and other floral varieties. In the reception space, a mix of lush floral runners, elevated arrangements, and bud vase clusters created variety and dimension. We love the timelessness of the vessels that were used for both the florals and candles alike! Another design detail we loved was the linen selections — which were all neutral in color but featured a wide array of fabrics and tonal patterns that elevated the tablescape. BBJ La Tavola never disappoints with its curated selection. But of all of the design elements, our very favorite just might have to be the many custom details that were artfully created by Yellow Rose Calligraphy. The invitation suite was a treat to style and was made up of gorgeous calligraphy script, a tonal floral pattern, and a watercolor image of Arrowhead Hill. The balance of blush and grey tones took it from being an all-white suite to one that had more depth and dimension. In the day-of goods, those custom elements were expanded upon and included a gorgeous hand-calligraphy seating chart, stir sticks with watercolor portraits of Madi & Blake’s dogs, a custom dance floor vinyl, and thank you notes at each guest’s seat.

[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]

Cakes by Gina created an absolute masterpiece of a bridal cake (and groom’s cake, too for that matter!) The bridal cake was an all-white cake with tonal floral detailing that tied in with not only the pattern on Madi’s dress but also the tonal floral pattern on the envelope liner. The cake was finished off with cascading fresh florals to bring in some blush and green tones. The groom’s cake incorporated all of Blake’s favorite things on an edible Yeti cooler, complete with Lonestar beer poking out the top of it. It was a work of art and almost too cool to eat — but that didn’t stop guests from enjoying the delicious cake inside!

[field title=”Special Detail #1″]

From the bride… Other than getting to marry the absolute love of my life, my two favorite details from our wedding day were our first dance and our exit! Our first dance was to “Sweet Symphony by Joy Oladokun and Chris Stapleton.” Halfway through our first dance, the DJ invited both of our parents onto the dance floor to join us. This was such a special moment for my husband and I getting to share our first dance as a married couple with the two married couples we look up to most.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]

From the Bride… My next favorite memory was our exit! For about two years leading up to our wedding, my husband restored his first car, a CJ-7 Jeep. It was the sweetest time watching my husband put so much of his time and effort into restoring something so precious to him and then being able to drive away in it at the end of our wedding day. From the planner… The Jeep was a perfect photo-op spot for couple portraits, wedding party portraits, and even the photos that guests wanted to snap! It was dressed up with some florals to tie into the day-of design and was such a meaningful detail to honor the groom. Plus, it made for an epic exit with cold sparks at the end of the night!

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]

From the planner… the cocktail hour tent design was a favorite detail of ours — and ended up being a favorite detail of Madi’s too! We created a layout that balanced highboy tables with soft seating through both lounge sets and farmhouse tables. The mirror seating chart was the main focal point as guests entered the space and was finished off with a small ottoman and lush florals. Eyes were drawn up with the placement of the greenery chandeliers around the tent poles and the bistro lighting strung under the tent. We love how the intentional placement of the lounge sets allowed guests to gather in a more casual way, and the placement of the bar encouraged guests to move through the space. The sweeping views of the venue were the cherry on top, and the result was a comfortable, memorable gathering space for guests to mingle.

The Most Wow-Worthy Wedding Cakes To Satisfy Your Sweet Tooth

As someone who snuck away during the wedding to devour an entire slice of my cake, I am very much a sweets fan. Not only does a cake need to taste good, it needs to catch your eye. Typically, cakes are the cornerstone of the dessert table and should shine and hold their own. To get you inspired for satisfying your own sweet tooth and eye for design, here are the most wow-worthy wedding cakes.

Two All-White Cakes That Are Anything But Boring

Joy Proctor commissioned this exquisite cake by MonAnnie Cakes, which was inspired by an ornate ceiling within a private estate in the Cotswolds. I think it’s almost too stunning to cut!

This delightful beauty by Bottega Louie graced the wedding of the founder of Flutter Mag for her Santa Barbara wedding. It’s always been a favorite in my book and will be forever due to its timeless and feminine appeal.

A Cake Made for Summer and Color Lovers

Cakes certainly don’t have to be white and this one by Ruze Cake House proves it. Vibrant and summery, this four-tier beauty makes me want to live in summer colors permanently.

When Cake and Flowers Become a Match Made in Heaven

Can we talk about how perfect these flowers by Kelly Kaufman Design are on this exquisite Maggie Austin Cake creation? The flowers are abundant, yet their delicate nature keeps them from overwhelming the cake. Oh, and that linen choice by Joy Proctor is absolutely fabulous.

Jose Villa

A Cake That Truly Belongs in Spring Time

Hey There, Cupcake! created this springy and chic cake that she decorated with wafer paper flowers and sliced lemons. Those little meringue dollops totally stole my heart at first sight!

Cavin Elizabeth Photography

A Cake So Detailed It Deserves a Spot in a Museum

To say I could stare at this The Biltmore-designed cake for hours is an understatement. Between its five tiers and the sheer amount of flowers, what’s not to love!?

Great Cakes Come in Small Packages (Wrapped in Bows)

This blush-mauve beauty might be small and simple, but it makes a bold statement. Designed by A Bake Shop, it’s monochrome icing perfectly matched the trailing bow wrapped between the tiers.

A Cake with Just a Touch of Edge

Ok, I’ll admit that I am a little bit of a Hey There, Cupcake! fan girl. I mean, she made my own wedding cake, so I can’t not show more of her stunning designs. This cake has just enough mood with its black brush strokes that feminine brides with a little edge would love it!

Cavin Elizabeth Photography

A Cake with a Whole Lot of Edge

Usually inspiration here on Style Me Pretty is pretty bright and airy, but I can’t help but share just one totally moody cake. In fact, it’s one of my most highly Pinned images. Another Hey There, Cupcake! design, this black cake features a feminine wafer paper floral design and pops of gold. It’s so versatile that it could be seen in a glamorous ballroom wedding or at a high-fashion goth-chic celebration.

Cavin Elizabeth Photography

A Charming Cake for Pastel Lovers

Last but certainly not least, this charming cake features delicate pastel adornments. Lele Patisserie’s darling three-tier gem would have all of your guests awing over its detail.

The wedding gown by Martina Liana featured a deep V-neckline and a backless silhouette. The 3D floral elements added a touch of romance and charm. The bridesmaid dresses were sourced from Show Me Your Mumu in the champagne luxe satin fabric. Each bridesmaid chose her own style, allowing them to showcase their personality and feel confident in their dress. These neutral dresses contributed to the timeless elegance of the wedding.

To add a unique and personalized touch to their attire, the groomsmen incorporated champagne accents in the form of bowties and pocket squares. The soft champagne hues created a beautiful contrast with the black tuxedos, resulting in a striking visual effect that made a statement without overshadowing the timeless appeal of the attire.[/field]

The couple added a personal flair to the reception by featuring three signature drinks: one for each of them and one they shared. The bride chose an Aperol Spritz, the groom picked a Bourbon Gold Rush, and their special “ours” concoction was an Espresso Martini.

[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

Jessica and Bobby’s florals and decor were nothing short of a dream. Throughout the wedding, there were exquisite touches of neutral-colored florals with green accents featuring roses, ranunculus, and baby’s breath. The bridesmaids’ white bouquets were delicately sprinkled with baby’s breath, creating a perfect harmony with the champagne hues of their dresses. At the reception, the combination of tall white candles enclosed in glass, luxurious gold accents, and the white floral centerpieces on each table added an extra layer of elegance to the space. Each place setting featured a meticulously crafted menu wrapped in a champagne-colored napkin adorned with a touch of baby’s breath. Serving as the backdrop for the five-tier cake, a rose flower wall elevated the cake-cutting ceremony into a true work of art. The cake, with its decadent layers, stood as a masterpiece against the living floral wall. The overall result was an ambiance that exuded both regal charm and intimate warmth, creating an inviting space for guests to savor and enjoy the celebration.

[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]Their wedding cake had five layers each with an intricate design that served as a stunning focal point at the reception. The top tier of the cake featured delicate appliqué, carefully crafted to emulate the intricate lace of the bride’s dress. What made it truly exceptional were the gold pearl centers that adorned the lace. These exquisite details added an opulent touch to the cake, creating a sense of regal beauty and sophistication. Just below, the second tier showcased a monogram, a replication of the couple’s initials as they appeared on their wedding invitation envelope. This personalized touch added a layer of sentimentality to the cake, serving as a symbol of the couple’s journey and their commitment to each other. The third tier was a simple layer that sat on the fourth tried that continued the theme of delicate appliqué emulating dress lace, adding a touch of continuity and symmetry to the cake’s design. Finally, the bottom tier featured ribbon ruffles, cascading in a gentle and flowing manner.

Bright Saturated Tones and Whimsical Design at The Patriot Club

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]Fun Italian inspired – bright saturated tones.[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]Mackenzie and Jason were originally supposed to wed in Naples, Florida in April 2023 – but Hurricane Ian hit the entire Southwest Florida region in the fall of 2022, and their venue was destroyed. When it became clear that their original venue wouldn’t be ready in time… they decided to pivot their plans altogether and have their ceremony in Italy in the summer of 2023. They still wanted to host a big fun wedding reception for family and friends, so instead of having it in Naples, Florida they moved it to the bride’s parents home country club in Oklahoma. And with that – the entire design plan changed too. They brought on the planning team of Annie Brady Design to bring Italy to Oklahoma.
From the Planner… I start all of the designs the same for all of our couples, with an in-depth questionnaire. Get to know them, what they love, what they want to achieve, who they are. We decided after our initial meeting we would do an homage to their destination wedding that would be taking place in Italy. We would focus on a more southern Italian influence, with bright, saturated colors and balance that with what I call Nona’s Sunday dinner aesthetic. Long tables, printed fabrics, wooden tables and chairs as accents for warmth and a counter balance to the bright colors. After reading the couples questionnaire and getting to know them better, I understood the importance of their fur babies. I wanted to have a certain look with the fabric that went with the concept and decided we would design our own fabric for the head table and linen and for the panels that would be hung in the venue. At that point it wasn’t much of a leap to realize including their pups in the design was a no brainer.[/field]

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]Because this was their hometown reception, we could have more fun with it, be more creative, have a more whimsical design. Guests would walk through a pink latticed floral immersive garden, with a bar to get to the main part of the venue. It’s always fun to have an entrance that is enticing and sets the tone and expectations for the evening. Once inside, we wanted to create cheerful warmth and soaring happiness. The draping style was fresh and also reminiscent of the Italian countryside. The florals with saturated colors were the perfect accents to a beautiful palette.[/field]

Stunning Cinderella-Inspired Oregon Castle Wedding

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]Blue, White, Gold, Hints of Blush[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

A classic European fairytale but make it happen in Oregon! This Cinderella inspired celebration took place in one of the most luxurious new venues on the west coast, Château de Michellia. The couple traveled all the way from Seattle for this intimate celebration of a lifetime, and this upscale French-style castle venue ended up being the perfect backdrop for their romantic wedding vision. With a color palette boasting serene blues, delicate whites, and lavish golds, the entire wedding design radiated a sense of enchantment and grandeur. The day was sprinkled with royal fairytale-inspired elements that felt like a nod to our bride’s cherished childhood dream. From the grand chandeliers of the ballroom to the dreamy castle backdrop of the ceremony, every detail was meticulously curated to transport our guests into a world of enchantment, with the couple radiating the essence of a true prince and princess on their momentous day.

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]Our bride opted for 4 gorgeous couture gowns throughout the wedding day – First a white traditional Aodai as a nod to her Vietnamese heritage, then a stunning royal ballgown as her princess ceremony dress, to a timeless white pearl-adorned cocktail dress to greet her guests, and lastly a dreamy blue ruffled gown (as seen on Cinderella) for sunset photos to truly tie together this magical fairytale affair.[/field]
[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]All bridesmaids soft chiffon blue dresses echoed the “Cinderella Blue” theme that is seen throughout the wedding design, and made for a stunning contrast with the bride’s royal white gown.[/field]
[field title=”Groomsman Attire”]The groomsmen all wore navy vests and suits pants, which still complimented the “Cinderella blue” theme beautifully yet added depth and contrast to the soft pastel blue of the bridesmaids dresses.[/field]

[field title=”Food & Drink”]For the grand ballroom reception, our couple chose a combination of western and eastern options. Signature dishes included baked salmon, crispy Asian pork, grilled steak, stir-fried chow-mien amongst others. The diversity of dishes ensured that the guests were able to taste delicacies from both the western and eastern culture as embodied by our Asian American couple’s ethnic background.[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]Our couple chose the soft blue as their predominant floral color, complimented by other in-season white and blush floral accents. The bridal and bridesmaids bouquets were kept strictly white and blue, while the grand full floral arch included more blush accents and stood beautifully against the majestic backdrop of the fairytale Château. The reception florals also incorporated hints of blush pink into the white and blue palette to give the ballroom a greater sense of romance and dreaminess.[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]The couple opted for an all white wedding cake adorned with delicate all white butterflies, which echoed the butterfly detail on the tip of the glass slipper detail in the bridal flatlay pictures. A circle of white, blue, and blush floral meadow surrounds the cake and sprinkled a sense of magic to this ethereal celebration.[/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]The bridal entrance song to the ceremony was “Who is She?” By Patrick Doyel, which was played when Cinderella stepped into the ballroom and stunned everyone with her beauty in the original motion picture. The processional (La Valse De L’amoure by Patrick Doyel) and the recessional music (Cinderella chorus from Cinderella finale) were also both taken directly from the adapted movie version of this classic fairytale.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]The blue ruffle dress worn by the bride during sunset photos is a direct nod to the dress worn by Cinderella at the royal ball.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]The bride included a miniature glass slipper with a blue bowtie in her bridal detail pictures, which featured a butterfly on the tip that was later seen in the wedding cake design. The blue bowtie on the glass slipper was also later seen as the bride’s hair accessory with her blue ruffle gown. [/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]The stunning venue Château de Michellia features over 100 antique oil paintings, one of which happens to be a Cinderella-inspired “lady in blue” portrait and it was a dream-come-true when the bride took getting-ready pictures with the Cinderella oil painting.[/field]

Playful Preppy Touches and Soft Pastels in Rancho Santa Fe

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]Inspired by al-fresco dining in a summer orchard, Erin + Mathew’s day was reminiscent of setting foot on a hiking path where wildflowers are gathered from the ground while hearing the sweet sounds of nature in the background. We blended elements of classic modern romance with playful preppy touches. Soft pastels married earthy tones with fresh pops of lush floral like sweet peas, garden roses, and dahlias to compliment citrus and stone fruits.[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]With a couple who both adored music and were musically talented, guests were asked to find their seats by finding their names written on scrolls laid upon small miniature violins and cellos. They sat in front of a music note backdrop reading Noteworthy with lush florals and greens to accent. [/field]

Under the starlit Tuscan sky, the enchanting evening commenced with a sumptuous dinner, a masterpiece thoughtfully prepared by the culinary artisans at Preludio Catering. This was not just a meal; it was a love story told through flavors, a testament to the passionate artistry of the chefs. They were served Trofie pasta, a delicate dance of flavors, with a rich ragout of wild duck and ribbons of cave-aged pecorino, each bite a journey into culinary bliss. Citrus fruit ravioli, a treasure chest of seafood ragout, crowned with a succulent shrimp, a tantalizing melding of land and sea that spoke of love’s fusion. A supreme of guinea fowl, a royal dish, whispered with the enchanting aroma of black truffles, served with tender pears bathed in Barolo and cradled by the embrace of Taleggio cheese. Roasted potatoes, kissed by rosemary’s fragrance, and spinach adorned with apples, walnuts, and delicate shavings of Grana cheese, each ingredient a note in the love ballad. The wine was carefully chosen to elevate this culinary journey;Vermentino la Pettegola (Toscana) & Chianti Castiglioni (Frescobaldi, Toscana)

As the sun embraced the garden in the tender embrace of an April morning, the stage was set for their outdoor ceremony. The world outside seemed to hold its breath, basking in the radiance of the day. Pastel-hued flowers, like delicate brush strokes on the canvas of nature, adorned the scene, their fragrant petals swaying in the gentle breeze. The garden, a tapestry of blooms and greenery, served as the ethereal pathway to their union. Flowers, meticulously placed along the aisle, seemed to sprout from the earth, climbing up the front of the gazebo, and gracing the aisle with their presence. Each bloom was a note in nature’s symphony, creating a perfect harmony, an enchanting backdrop for Savannah’s journey. As she embarked on her walk down the aisle, Savannah held an elegantly arranged and airy bouquet, a cascade of blossoms that seemed to have been plucked from a fairy tale. It was a creation of exquisite beauty, styled and arranged with care by Flowers Living. Composed of peonies, garden roses, ranunculus, sweet peas, spray roses, butterfly, scabiosa, and delphinium, these flowers whispered their own stories of love, each petal a testament to the magic of this day.

[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]The dream wedding’s grand finale commenced with an exquisite dinner, setting the stage for the evening’s festivities. After the delightful meal, the focus shifted to the cutting of a magnificent four-tiered masterpiece cake by Tuscan Wedding Cakes. Each tier was a canvas of meticulous hand-painting, echoing the captivating color palette of the wedding and harmonizing seamlessly with the overall theme.

With the cake beautifully showcased, Savannah and Bennett then made a grand entrance onto the dance floor, hand in hand. Their first dance as a married couple, set to the enchanting melody of Ed Sheeran’s “Nervous,” was a magical moment that filled the room with awe. The dancing marked the culmination of their dream wedding, creating a heartwarming conclusion to a day filled with enchantment, love, and joy.
