Classic Estate Wedding

This is what happens when a talented team of vendors join forces with an adorable duo to create an elegant New Jersey estate wedding: absolute magic.  Think the fab stylings of Ashley Douglass meets the brilliant makeup skills of Stacie Ford Weddings meets crazy beautiful images from Robert And Kathleen Photographers.  See it all in THE VAULT right this way.

From Robert And Kathleen Photographers… Everyone that loves Megan knows one thing to be universally true: she is someone who goes after  what she wants. More often than not, she gets whatever it is that she has set her heart upon. It’s been true since she was a little girl, according to the story Megan’s father told during the reception, about a time he had taken her fishing. She was young, probably no older than eight or so, when she caught an especially large fish. As Megan tried to reel it in, her father tried to help her. But Megan wasn’t having any of it. This was her fish and she was going to get it all by herself. And she did just that. She surprised her father that day and he stood back with a mix of pride and wonder and watched her handle it all by herself.

That’s the very same focus Megan used throughout her life. It’s what has driven her to accomplish many things. Her father says that when Megan met Bobby in high school, Bobby became the next big fish that she was going to reel in. Megan loved how smart and funny Bobby was, how he made her feel whenever she was around him.  Bobby was drawn to Megan’s vibrant energy and incredible smile. They dated in high school and continued their relationship while they attended college in Boston and then established careers in New York City.

By the time their wedding day came around, Megan and Bobby had been a couple for so long that no one had any doubts that they were meant to be together. When Megan’s father escorted her down the aisle and took his place in the front row to watch as she and Bobby exchanged vows, he had a familiar look on his face – a mix of pride and wonder at his daughter, who always follows her dreams, and her heart.

Rustic Elegant Fall Wedding at Chateau St. Jean

I’ve developed quite a crush on this whole celebration. It started with the beautiful bride and her stop-everything-and-stare dress. And then it was the venue itself, decked out in pretty florals by Vanda Floral Design and La Tavola’s bright linens. But really, it all comes down to the gorgeous images from Koman Photography – and their gallery in our VAULT is what I like to call my new happy place – see it all here!

From the Bride… Jason and I got married in wine country, during the harvest. The outdoor vineyard setting was not only a beautiful backdrop, but it was also meaningful to us. We went wine tasting on one of our first dates… our first trip together was to wine country… Jason proposed to me after a day of wine tasting in Malibu. Needless to say, it felt appropriate to get married at a winery. A few weeks after Jason and I got engaged, we took a trip to Sonoma from our home in Los Angeles. My parents had recently moved to Sonoma, so they took us around town to some of their favorite vineyards and wineries. As soon as we stepped foot on the grounds of Chateau St. Jean, we knew it was where we wanted to get married!

Once the venue was selected, it was easy to get an idea of the kind of wedding we wanted to have. We pictured a wedding that was equally fun, natural and romantic, like our relationship. Chateau St. Jean was the perfect venue to have a soft and sweet outdoor ceremony, as well as a lively dance-party reception! We wanted the ceremony and reception to feel sophisticated yet easy-going. We chose a light, rustic color scheme that complemented the earth tones of the autumn grapevines. The floral arrangements were neutral but eye-catching. The scenery was airy and ethereal.

Donna Sievers, at Pineapple Planet, was an attentive and caring wedding planner who really understood the idyllic-yet-elegant “feel” we wanted for our wedding. She got to know Jason and I, and incorporated personal touches into every detail. She knew how much we love our French bulldog, Dyson, so she decorated the lounge furniture with subtle, chic French bulldog pillows! I am a busy litigation attorney in Los Angeles, without much free-time for wedding planning, so it was a huge blessing to know that our out-of-town wedding was in truly amazing hands. Pineapple Planet worked closely with my mother to really bring my visions to life! John and Marlene, of Koman Photography, brilliantly captured every aspect of the event. The photos they shot gloriously depicted the charming ceremony, the delicate details and the fun crowd.

I wore a gorgeous low-back, long-sleeve wedding gown by Berta that made me feel both ladylike and sexy. Jason wore a sleek navy blue Hugo Boss suit, which was complemented by his groomsmen’s navy suspenders and bowties. My bridesmaids wore champagne colored convertible dresses; each girl was able to style the top of the dress however she wanted. I loved this idea because I had ten bridesmaids who were all able to feel pretty and comfortable wearing the same dress! Thanks to our family, friends, planners and vendors, our wedding was more exquisite than we could have dreamed of!

Dreamy Wedding on the Big Sur Cliffs

Escape to a cliffside celebration via a gallery of images by Kurt Boomer? You don’t have to ask me twice. Because when you combine his talent, these views, and a Bride and Groom who couldn’t look more in love, the end result is magic. It’s the dream ending to a love story you have to read to believe (all in the Bride’s words below!) and meanwhile we’ll be waiting in The Vault.

From The Bride… Jason and I met years ago on a plane. I know it sounds so cliche to say, but it honestly felt like the universe wanted us to end up together. I’ll explain: we saw each other first on an East Coast flight headed towards the SF bay area. I thought he was cute standing a few aisles in front of me on the plane. A few hours later, the plane landed at SFO and we found ourselves walking the same direction out of the terminal. From there, we ended up being the only two people on the airport transporter (a rarity, considering what a zoo SFO can be on the weekends). We twiddled our thumbs and pretended not to notice how awkward this was that we were strangers that seemed to be following each other. When we reached the stop for the Bart ticketing station, we both got off and headed towards the platform. We were both too shy to say anything at this point, but when we both realized we were getting onto the same train to the East bay, it became too comical NOT to talk about.

At this point, I think Jason just shook his head, laughed and smiled as he held out his hand to shake mine. He and I talked the whole way to my stop in Rockridge, Oakland. We talked about art and how we were both artists exploring different mediums – him game design and lighting, me photography and writing. We found out through the tail end of our conversation that we actually lived in different states. Regardless, he invited me out to dinner that night to continue our conversation over Italian food, and I gleefully accepted.

Over a glass of wine and some lasagne, It became increasingly apparent that though our chemistry was insane, we were in entirely different places in our lives: I, was in college, he was steadily in his own new career in North Carolina where he lived. The timing just wasn’t right on paper. We adored each other, but I think we both thought our first date would be our last. However I know that somewhere inside of me, on a deeper level, knew that if we just let this thing run its course, the universe might be good to us somewhere down the line. Maybe fate would bring us together again when we were more in sync and ready for a relationship. Little did we know a the time, that’s exactly what would happen.

About 4 years later, I got this email from Jason out of the blue. I had almost forgotten we had exchanged contact info all those years ago. The email was somewhere along the lines of, “Hey, do you remember me from the train some time ago?” I laughed to my friends about how serendipitous this was; they knew my story about the romantic-train-encounter-mystery-man very well. I wrote back and the connection was just as special as it had been the first time we had met. The rest is history! From there, we would meet every weekend in either Seattle or San Francisco, he had moved to Seattle recently to take a job, and the plane ride was only 2 hours away.

When I graduated college, I was hungry for a new adventure. The trees and majestic beauty of the Pacific Northwest felt like the perfect place to find myself – and with Jason there too, it was a win-win. Everything seemed to align perfectly when I moved to Seattle. We collaborated on creative projects together; I would help him write stories for games, and he would paint and illustrate them. When Jason proposed in December of 2013, I didn’t start planning right away, but I did have a specific feeling in mind for what I wanted the day to feel like: I wanted it to feel like “us” and the simplicity yet emotionally deep elements of our love. I wanted, and Jason did too, for our wedding to reflect everything we loved about both Washington and California. When we visited Big Sur for the first time, we felt almost a primal reaction to it: the towering trees, the lush colored landscape, the peaceful tranquility of being outdoors. We feel it perfectly represented us and the peace we feel together as best friends and life partners.

As far as the actual labor of planning went – I feel like I lucked out in some cosmic way on that front too. I created a mood board of small glimpses I liked – nothing literal, just textures and soft-focus pauses on beautiful details. I had contacted a few floral designers in the Carmel/Big Sur area to help me narrow down this vision and come up with flower choices, but there didn’t seem to be anyone that understood the emotion that I wanted the event to convey. Then, I came across the work of Christine Cater and her team.

There is a heart-stoppingly gorgeous image on Pinterest that I’m sure many brides have seen: It’s of a half-circle pampas grass arrangement with white and pink roses and a couple standing in the middle of this ethereal coastal scene. I followed a barrage of links to find out the floral designer involved in this, and come to find out, it was Christine Cater – who also works in the Carmel/Big Sur area. I reached out to her on a whim thinking she’d never have time for me with all of her world-building and all, and to my surprise she wrote back. Over the course of the next 4 months, she and I worked together to use a lot of what I already from my little shop and side-business ForesterCo on Etsy.

I used bits and pieces that reminded me of my childhood: real brass candlesticks, handmade vintage textile hangings, cake stands from the 50s. If I had any advice for other brides, it would be to use things you already have whether that’s vintage or handmade, and get creative with it. If you don’t already have vintage, search estate sales and thrift stores for unique pieces early on, so that when the time comes, you can sort through and narrow down a vision that’s uniquely-you.

I had a lot of favorite moments the day-of. There was a lot of emotion back and forth between Jason and I because after all those years between meeting, and finally finding each other again, It was honestly surreal. When he and I first met that day way-back-when, one of the random bits of information we bonded over on the train was our love for Arcade Fire. So walking down the aisle together to the Vitamin String Quartet version of “Wake Up” was so cool. It was like a dream I once had long ago for my life that came true. My Aunt Sally is the one who performed the ceremony, and that was another neat part as well. Jason and I aren’t religious at all, so we wrote the ceremony ourselves, but having someone to close to us who is part of our family speak those words and facilitate in binding our union together was very special.

From The Planner…From the moment we met it was evident that these two had their esthetics in the bag. Alexandra’s clean romantic modern touches throughout her wedding day added some pretty yummy eye candy. Point 16 is gorgeous with its ceremony perched high above the Pacific Ocean. A birch altar was created by the family where we hung strands of hand dyed yarn tassels to compliment the brides macrame wall hanging.

At the base we added wicker, ceramic and glass vessels filled with spring blooms, grasses and greenery. Jason and Alexandra stood on a rug that they own and now enjoy in their new home. The bouquet was inspired by our May brides love for the multi petalled peony. It took center stage amongst garden roses, ranunculus, sweet peas, astilbe, queen annes lace, magnolia and eucalyptus.

Jason’s boutonnière wrapped in taupe velvet had blush sweet peas, with the ‘shammy’ side of a magnolia leaf against his tweed suit. Gold and bronze elements were present throughout the wedding and we love to compliment these metals with foliage like magnolia. Bronze candlesticks were used along the single dining table centered with handmade green garlands.

In the end this wedding had our full attention on design and details as you can see by these images. Big Sur + Kurt Boomer + pretty flowers and details = a match made in heaven.

7 Super Bowl Party Ideas for the Win

Super Bowl and super cute, totally knock it out of the park in the chic department parties tend to not go hand in hand. But leave it to the ladies of SMP Living to find a way to smuggle in a little bit of pink, and a whole lot of gold. We’re breaking down some fun, totally easy ways to gussy up that Sunday football fest in style. And if you missed it, check out this Super Bowl food roundup worthy of a grand ol’ noshing.

1. Don’t Be Afraid to Think Outside the Box

Just because your team didn’t make the cut or chicken wings and beer just aren’t your thing, doesn’t mean you can’t participate in this sunday’s festivities. We love pink and prefer champagne over beer any day so our version of a Super Bowl party involves all of those things. Call it an Anti-Super Bowl Party and let your pink flag fly.

2. Gussy Up Your Food Stations

From snack bags, to popcorn baskets, and football field trays too, food displays are a simple way to add a healthy dose of DIY decor to your store bought containers. It’s all about presentation with these gems.

3. Decorate Your Cocktails

Speaking of presentation, cocktails love a good wow-moment too. Make these simple tassel drink stirrers and pop them in a signature cocktail for an uber festive feel.

4. Glam It Up

It’s no secret that we love a splash of gold on SMP. We covered really basic white cardboard coasters entirely with gold leaf. It is a mistake-free project and you can make it Super Bowl worthy by sealing them and writing the players numbers using a white chalk pen.

5. Game On!

While you’re watching the Big Event, throw a few party games into the mix. Things like Super Bowl Commercial Bingo or these Rating Cards will do the trick.

6. Couch Cheerleaders Need Pom Poms too

Make this simple DIY and handout to partygoers for newspaper pom filled cheering from the sidelines a.k.a. the living room sofa.

7. Add a little Flair

A good backdrop is the MVP of party decor. It takes a ho hum wall to Look at Me Fab in no time. Try a gilded bunting or go all out with this fringe letter backdrop; one of our favorite projects to date!

Rich + Romantic San Juan Capistrano Fall Wedding

I love the richness and warmth that comes with a fall wedding. Something about them just seems so romantic. And this Southern California fête is no exception. With a rich color palette, stunning florals from The Bloom Of Time, gorgeous details planned by Bliss Productions including linens from La Tavola Linen and delicious bites from 24 Carrots, every detail of this day is special. See it all from Jana Williams Photography and Theater 10 Wedding Films in The Vault!

From Bliss ProductionsThis breathtaking Fall wedding filled the corners of the Franciscan Gardens, in the heart of San Juan Capistrano, with bright smiles and warm colors. The tables were bursting with life, featuring burgundy and cream linens from La Tavola and beautiful flower arrangements from The Bloom of Time. The tables were also graced with thoughtful and memorable gifts for the guests to take home. The groom’s mother made homemade jars of jam to compliment each place setting. The setup of the ceremony gave off a natural and earthy feel, yet still remained sophisticated and warm. The furniture for the ceremony, as well as the furniture placed around the area, came from Archive Rentals. The guests relaxed in the vintage looking couches before and after the ceremony. To add to the warm and welcoming vibes of the atmosphere, cocktail hour kicked off with a fall signature drink that felt warm and cozy. The catering company, 24 Carrots did an excellent job of satisfying the guests every cuisine need. The night ended with an elaborate s’more’s bar featuring five different kinds of gourmet marshmallows from Fluff It Marshmallows. The guests were able to roast their own marshmallows over the three flames in the center of the table and choose their ideal combination of marshmallow, chocolate and graham cracker. Jana Williams captured all of the enthralling photos from the magical night and provided the bride and groom with hard copies of the memories they will cherish forever. The videography from the night was provided by Theatre 10 Wedding Films. Bliss Productions was the fantastic wedding planning company that catered to the bride’s every want and desire for her special day.

Colorful + Preppy Museum Wedding in Oklahoma

Who had the best wedding it town? Marie and Rob did! A sweet southern inspired affair complete with preppy details every moment is what we like to call casual chic. Aubrey Marie Photography was behind the lens turning every moment into a memory and today we’ve got it all to share in THE VAULT!

From Aubrey Marie PhotographyMarie and Rob chose to get married in Marie’s home state of Oklahoma in the beautiful month of October. However, the two love birds live in South Carolina and Rob’s family is from Mississippi, so they really wanted to incorporate the beauty and charm of the south into their Oklahoma wedding. With the help of Gibson Events, they filled their wedding with lots of southern details, such as a band from Chattanooga, Tennessee and grits as part of their reception dinner.

From the Bride… To be honest, I didn’t have a clear idea of what I wanted for my wedding until I was more than halfway through the planning process. I knew what colors I liked (navy, blush, and gold) and I knew that I wanted the design to be pretty, but comfortable, so my plan was to find a team of vendors that I could trust to do what they thought would work best. Gibson Events helped me coin the term ‘preppy casual’ for my wedding and everyone else helped pull my dream together.

My favorite part of my wedding day was getting to spend 30 minutes with my HUSBAND immediately after our ceremony, before our reception. That quality time was so important to both of us and we are so glad we decided to do that. It gave us a chance to take a deep breath and appreciate the day and each other

From With Heart FilmsPaul and Sivan, decided to have their wedding in one of the hidden gems of the Greek islands. So they traveled all the way from Los Angeles to have their wedding in Naxos. Naxos is the largest of the Cyclades island group in the Aegean. It has some of the most beautiful beaches, traditional villages unaffected by time and with most recognizable landmark the gate of Apollo’s temple. Sivan is a beautiful woman, inside and out and not only that but she is also incredibly talented and full of passion and creativity. Co-founder at MUSE and sharing inspiration and ideas through sivanayla.com, it is no wonder she organized all the details of her wedding perfectly.

We were welcomed with open hearts from both Paul and Sivan, as well from the Richards and Vardi families and for three days,we lived with them the adventure that was P & S wedding. An adventure that found us walking in the small alleys of the town of Naxos, doing a magical ride to traditional villages still unaffected by time and sailing at sunset to Paros, on a boat full of people laughing and dancing.

The ceremony took place at Banana, in the amazing St. Anna beach, where in front of their friends and families, Sivan, in her gorgeous Galia Lahav dress, looking stunning and Paul equally handsome and elegant, exchanged their vows. Once again we had the joy of working with talented Adonis Kekidakis as the photographer. We feel blessed that we shared all those moments of laughter and tears and love. Mostly love. The night found everyone partying, celebrating the union of these two “star-crossed lovers”.

Blogger Bride Boxwood Avenue’s Glamorous Lake Tahoe Wedding

If you like pretty then are going to L-O-V-E this wedding for the following reasons: first, A Savvy Event planned the ultimate celebration complete with La Tavola linens. Second, it’s one of our very own Blogger Bride’s special day! That’s right, Chloe of Boxwood Avenue dreamed up the perfect lakeside party (hello, s’mores) and thanks to David Newkirk we’ve got every detail of her day in THE VAULT!

[iframe http://player.vimeo.com/video/148954532 600 338]

From Chloe of Boxwood AvenueWow, what a journey we’ve been on! I have had so much fun getting to share my wedding planning with all of you. It’s truly been an honor! I shared a little bit about my main squeeze in my e-sesh post, but I want to share even more with you today!

You might know that Greg and I live in the absolute middle of nowhere on a cattle ranch, way up north in California. If you didn’t, now you do! It’s amazing living up here, but it is completely different than living in the city. In fact, the experiences I’ve had on the ranch are what lead me to start Boxwood Avenue – as a way to share what modern ranch life is like.

So when we started planning our wedding, we initially wanted to have it at the ranch. However, the logistics of asking hundreds of people to travel hours away from civilization just didn’t pencil out. There really isn’t anywhere for people to stay overnight, and there certainly aren’t many catering or rental options. While discussing it with our families, Greg’s mom suggested we have our wedding at Lake Tahoe. After all, it’s where I consider my heart to be. I love the ranch, but Lake Tahoe is like nothing else. I was over the moon excited that Greg agreed to say, “I Do” there!

So we got to planning, and ultimately decided on a black tie wedding. One of my new cousins put it best, “You moved to this tiny town, on a cattle ranch, where boots and spurs are everyday attire. You’re only going to get married once, so you might as well have your fairytale moment.” I was thankful that she spread the word to the rest of the cowboys: Yes, you HAVE to wear a tux. Yet, you can see in some of the photos – a few of them just couldn’t bear to leave their cowboy hats at home, which was totally fine with me!

As I planned, I knew I wanted to include as many little details from as many vendors as I could. There is so much talent out there! So, last May when I traveled to Nashville for one of my bridesmaid’s weddings, I carved out an afternoon to pop into The Dress Theory! I really admire the shop’s owner, Camille, so I knew I had to go visit the store when I had the chance. I happened to pick up the beautiful belt I wore on my wedding day, but I wasn’t in love with the ribbon it came with, so I added my own Silk and Willow ribbon to it. The ribbon complimented the color of my Bliss by Monique Lhuillier dress perfectly, which was the slightest shade of pink. The moment I tried it on at Swoon, I knew it was the one!

Initially, I had planned on making my own veil, but came to my senses about a month before the wedding. The girls at Swoon were able to order me a custom Jennifer Leigh veil that extended four feet beyond the hem of my dress, I loved it so much I didn’t take it off all night, I even ate dinner in it!

I had the privilege to work with vendors from all over northern Nevada, California and even Utah, but planned most of the day remotely from the ranch, adding DIY touches whenever I could. As I look over our wedding photos I am reminded of my wonderful family who helped make every little detail possible. My aunt hand painted the designs for the garden seed favors and envelope liners, which I hand cut and placed in every envelope. I even handmade the packets the seeds went into! My dad made the base of the chuppah, and I sewed together the covering for it. Nearly every brass candlestick and goblet you see was found at thrift shops by my aunt, who is also the woman who taught me how to sew. Naturally, she fit my dress for me, and even took some of my great aunt’s silk fabric and sewed it in into the inside of my dress, which was my something blue.

One of my favorite DIY projects of the wedding was hand writing each guest’s place card. I actually did it two nights before the wedding! That same night, all of my bridesmaids came over to my mother-in-law’s house where we had a pre-wedding crafting party – being a DIY blogger, this was a BLAST for me – I don’t think my bridesmaids agreed, though, because, they ended up having to add ribbons to every single bell (which were placed at the guests’ seats to ring during the first kiss, you can see and hear it in the video!), bows to every program, bunting to every cocktail stir stick and straw, and tags to every honey favor. By the end of the night, I’m pretty sure their fingers were bleeding, luckily we had champagne to fix it!

The morning of the wedding was celebrated with mimosas and pampering, and while the boys figured out how to properly tie their bow ties, the girls were treated to hair and makeup from Hannah Lashelle of Pretty Parlor and Jenay Duckett of MAC. I was insistent about hand writing our own vows, but was guilty of not putting them onto paper until that morning in the middle of hair and makeup! Early afternoon, I was greeted by my mother in law with sweet gifts form Greg; his great grandmother’s pearl necklace and earrings, which I was honored to wear down the aisle as my ‘something old’.

I think one of the most memorable parts of the evening was when I read my vows wrong, and my grandfather’s speech. Both moments can be seen in the video! My grandfather is from France, and gave a traditional French toast, which involves a lot of clapping, and singing. I will remember it for the rest of my life.

The day of the wedding went by just as quickly as everyone had warned me it would. It really is true when bride’s describe their wedding day as being the best day of their life, not because of the wedding itself, but because you’re completely surrounded by love. Having all of our closest friends and family gathered in one spot was surreal.

Destination Spring Wedding in Shades of Blue

This beautiful Bride and Groom hired the incredibly talented Lifestories Wedding Photography because of “the way he manage to tell stories” in his photos, and it’s safe to say that the tale told in this pretty wedding is a love story. From the lovely bridesmaids’ dresses to the breathtaking scenery, this day is the perfect start to happily ever after. See it all in The Vault.

From The Bride…Tom and I were married in the beautiful town of Berry, 2 hours South of Sydney. We wanted a destination wedding which was convenient for everyone. We were so happy with Berry with its green outlook and small town country feel. Heather at Gypsy Flora was amazing and has unique designs with her flowers, I gave her a brief and left it in her hands and the result was beautiful. Jaspers the venue took care of everything, all the catering and decorations. It’s such a unique venue with beautiful little pockets all around the Gardens where you can explore. We had the most amazing day of our lives and we will never forgot everyone who was a part of it.

For the photography, we chose Yann from Lifestories Wedding. Yann is based in Paris so we were lucky that he was in Australia at that time of the year traveling with his Australian wife. We knew his work and we just love his natural touch and the way he manage to tell stories, that was also a perfect match.

Colorful Spring Multicultural Wedding

One of the things I love most about weddings, beyond the obvious pretty, is the blending of tradition. In the words of the bride, “Even before we got engaged, we talked about having a wedding that was not only a celebration of us, but also of our community and our wonderful cultures coming together.”  A fusion of Mexican, Scottish and Indian influences, this day is rich in cultural beauty and The Vault is your spot to peruse Diana McGregors’s incredible captures.

From The Bride…From the moment we saw the Santa Barbara Historical Museum, Raj and I knew we would get married there. We were both drawn to its serene courtyards and natural beauty and we loved the idea of getting married in Santa Barbara, a place our traveling friends and family could relax and enjoy for the whole weekend.

Even before we got engaged, we talked about having a wedding that was not only a celebration of us, but also of our community and our wonderful cultures coming together. Rajen is of Indian and Mexican descent and I was born and raised in Scotland, but moved to the states many years ago. We decided to bring in different elements from each culture and ended up with this really fun, colorful, musical day that was better than anything we could have hoped for!

Our fabulous photographer, Diana McGregor, captured it beautifully and we were constantly impressed with our DJ, Sukh Chugh, who kept the dance floor full throughout the night. In the end, it really came down to the people – watching our families come together in kilts and saris, dancing to bhangra music was amazing!

Glamorous Western Wedding Inspiration at Brush Creek Ranch

The American west is a dreamy destination for so many of us and the idea of hosting a wedding amid all that beauty is brought to life in this shoot, planned by Pink Diamond Events and captured by Lisa O’Dwyer. With a gown from the Little White Dress Bridal Shop that radiates romance and a tablescape I can’t stop pinning, these wedding dreams are brought to life in every image. More in our VAULT!

From Lisa O’Dwyer… This American West shoot was inspired by Town & Country style, the look of the city and glamour in the Wild West of Wyoming. It was photographed at the 5 Brush Creek Ranch in Wyoming. As a wedding venue, it is a unique and wonderful experience for a couple and their guests. The western backdrops of the ranch are straight out of the movies. And there are many events that the guests can take advantage of, such as fly-fishing and horseback riding.

The dress we chose is a silk Marchesa from Little White Dress in Denver. Emmy London shoes for inside are from Little White Dress, and the bride’s own cowboy boots for walking around the ranch. Styling/coordination/production from Pink Diamond Events of Northern Colorado, florals from Hana Style Designs of Northern Colorado, baked goods from Sweets Wyoming, stationery from The Wells Makery of Colorado, makeup and hair from Janie Rocek of Northern Colorado.

The colors of the flowers are rich hues evocative of the surrounding landscape, and an elegant table setting that tames the wild of Wyoming and the American West. Casey of Pink Diamond Events used Kate Spade flatware in rose gold, ceramic plates courtesy of Pink Diamond Events, La Tavola napkins, Silk and Willow table runner, stemware from Anthropologie. Casey of Pink Diamond Events and Brittany of Hana Style Designs pulled all elements together for the table design.
